Yoshiaki Yatsu held a public training session today to demonstrate his wrestling ability with his specially made prosthetic foot. Using Keigo Nakamura as his sparring partner, Yatsu successfully did Bulldog Headlocks, Suplexes, Power Slams and even a Uranage. For his big finish, Yatsu applied the Jail Hold with such skill that it made Nakamura submit. Yatsu explained to the reporters that when he stands, he cannot move his ankle so he risks becoming an easy target in the Battle Royal if he stays still. For now, kicking with the prosthetic foot has not been ruled illegal by DDT so Yatsu is looking forward to kicking and stomping his opponents before the rule gets changed. He is so excited to wrestle again.

Last day of the Ultimate Tag League and the four active teams all have a chance to win. It’s whoever finishes in first place uncontested who wins the league. If there is a tie at the end of the show then there will be a final match to break the deadlock. Junretsu and Eruption have the clearest chances to win in one match as long as one or the other loses. The 37KAMIINA and DAMNATION need to win their matches and hope one or the other doesn’t lose just to reach the tiebreaker.

Super Sasadango Machine attempted to crash another NOAH show this week to hold negotiations with Takashi Sugiura and Kazushi Sakuraba. He was stopped at the entrance again but this time purchased a ticket to be allowed into the show. Unfortunately he was told by a staff member that neither Sugiura or Sakuraba were present. Sasadango explained to him that he brought gifts for Sugiura and Sakuraba and asked for them to be passed along. Sugiura is getting sasadango dumplings while Sakuraba is getting medicine for his pollen allergies.

X in the Tokyo Joshi Pro opener is still a mystery. YUMI’s big news over the weekend is she’s entering the idol industry as part of a new group called Tokyo Survivor. So that’s her completely out of wrestling now.

After months of waiting he finally decided to go ahead with the show and is setting it up for this July. Takanashi’s scheduled opponent hasn’t changed. It’s Fuminori Abe, the man he last fought when his injury happened. This year Takanashi has done an exhibition match and has shown up on some wrestling shows here and there but he hasn’t been in a proper wrestling match since March 2020 where his injury took place.

Also on the show are Chris Brookes, Yukio Sakaguchi, Isami Kodaka, Emi Sakura and the UMA Corps. More are expected to appear.

7. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (4) defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4) when Oishi submitted Sakaguchi with the Fujiyama Knee Lock (15:47).

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (4)
-. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
3. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3)
-. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (3)
5. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

It’s still all to play for after Day 4 of the Ultimate Tag League. One team who had it in the bag are letting it slip while the team that looked to be out of it caught a second wind. While Kazusada Higuchi and Jun Akiyama took care of each other, Yukio Sakaguchi tried to hunt down Makoto Oishi. It got real bad for Oishi when Sakaguchi literally knocked his front teeth out (Oishi’s front teeth are all replacements)! But in a surprise, Oishi had his opponent scouted and countered his submission holds into the Fujiyama Knee Lock for the upset victory. Akiyama praised the Junrestu leader after the match. All of his front teeth are gone but he is still handsome enough to finish 4th in a Best Body Japan competition! Meanwhile Eruption are at risk of finishing outside of the top spot. They now need to beat DAMNATION on the last day for a chance to win the league.

It’s a sad end for The Iyasareru. After a great start, Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda quickly cooled off and lost the rest of their matches. Their schedule ended with a defeat to The 37KAMIINA. They had their opponents trapped in stereo Octopus Stretches but Konosuke Takeshita broke free from Brookes and Dropkicked Honda. Shunma Katsumata then used his leverage to roll over and apply a deep pin to Honda for the three count. The 37KAMIINA know they are in a difficult position to win the league on the final day. All they can do is figure out the right timing to use the MADMAX double team move so they can beat Junretsu.

Naomi Yoshimura beats Yuki Iino to prove he deserves to be in this year’s King Of DDT. Yoshimura said he will work his way to the top of the DNA generation. He also promised to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles next week.

Toui Kojima treated Match #4 as an audition to join The 37KAMIINA. He probably failed when a double team move backfired and Kojima hit Yuki Ueno by accident. That mistake gave Yusuke Okada the opening to win the match. Ueno tried to keep his attention on Akito but admits he couldn’t grasp his next challenger’s rhythm at all today. He also had his back taped up which irked Akito a bit. Akito said he was disappointed in Ueno’s performance today and a champion shouldn’t be showing off his bad condition like that. Akito doesn’t think he fought a champion today.

DAMNATION got by with some cheating to beat DISASTER BOX. When Tetsuya Endo had Yukio Naya in position for the Torture Rack Bomb, Kazuki Hirata ran in wanting to break the count. However Soma Takao stopped him in his tracks with a Low Blow, allowing Endo to hit his move on Naya for the finish. Takao added salt to the wounds backstage when he called Hirata a weak challenger for the 6-Man Tag Titles and he should be replaced. Soma thinks Hirata would be so weak of a champion he would make Yuki Ueno’s DDT UNIVERSAL Title run look better by comparison!

5. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Yuka Sakazaki & Pom Harajuku when Yamashita pinned Harajuku with the Skull Kick (11:44).

Here, Maki Itoh did her job to cut off Sakazaki so Yamashita could get the pin on Pom Harajuku. After the match Itoh told the fans that Tokyo Joshi Pro will stand out more against DDT, NOAH and Ganbare☆Pro at Saitama Super Arena.

Raku spent the beginning of her match hiding from Yuki Kamifuku, sneaking under the ring and behind the referee to keep out of her opponent’s sight. Kamifuku later used her own version of the Good Night Express to get her own back on Raku.

It was announced that the next “TJPW INSPIRATION” event on 1st July will be headlined by Miyu Yamashita Vs Mirai Maiumi in a UWF Rules match.

4. Hikari Noa defeated Moka Miyamoto with the Blizzard Suplex (6:16).
5. Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino defeated Miu Watanabe & Suzume when Aino pinned Suzume with the Venus DDT (14:33).

The night time show concluded with Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino beating Miu Watanabe & Suzume then thanking the fans for attending. They were amazed to see many in the audience attended both shows today. They repeated the earlier point that TJPW will be second to none at Saitama Super Arena!

Sayuri Namba had to explain the special rules for Hyper Misao Vs Nodoka Tenma. They took part in three matches. The first match had Two Count Fall rules. When somebody won with a Two Count they then had to play charades with Daisuke Kiso. If Kiso guessed their gesture correctly then the woman wins the match. Misao tried to do “Pudding” but Kiso guessed wrong. Tenma had to do “Octopus” but Kiso got it right, so Tenma got the point. The second game had the same Two Count Fall but then the winner had to correctly answer a question about TJPW. Tenma was asked where did Rika Tatsumi’s debut match take place? She knew it was in Shibuya but couldn’t remember the name of the building. Misao then got a pin and correctly answered Shibuya Entertainment Stage to even the score. The final fall had both women drink a glass of vinegar then wrestle under 1 Count Rules. Misao won the round and the match with La Magistral Cradle.

Shoko Nakajima and Rika Tatsumi were revealed as the captains for the two teams competing in “TJPW PPV SHOW 4” next week. Nakajima doesn’t understand how the Summer Vs Winter theme is any different from the Red Vs White concept from the previous PPV. Tatsumi is upset that Mizuki is not on her team.

Something to keep an eye on is YUMI’s Twitter account suddenly becoming active again. The former TJPW wrestler graduated from the company last July to focus on her education. This week she suddenly started tweeting daily, counting down the days “until the beginning of history”. The countdown ends this weekend but not exactly towards the TJPW shows.
