8. D-Ou Grand Prix 2020 – Final: Masato Tanaka defeated Tetsuya Endo with the Sliding D (23:57).

The tournament master Masato Tanaka becomes the first person to win the D-Ou Grand Prix while undefeated! He didn’t take Tetsuya Endo lightly in the final. He went for the Sliding D at the very first opportunity. Endo dodged it and in return tried to trap Tanaka in the Modified Yurikamome Hold. Tanaka put Endo through a table outside the ring with a Diving Body Press, which ended up leaving a big gash in Endo’s leg. To add insult to the injury, Tanaka then attacked Endo with pieces of the table and also the DAMNATION signboard. Endo’s comebacks would get cut off by Elbow Smashes until he countered the Tornado DDT into a Brainbuster. Tanaka cut him off again with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster. Endo countered the Diamond Dust into a German Suplex but Tanaka once more stopped his momentum with a Lariat. The match went even when Tanaka blocked the Shooting Star Press then Endo blocked the Superfly afterwards. When they got up Endo hit a Canadian Destroyer only for Tanaka to immediately fire back with a short range Sliding D. Endo finally got his momentum going with the Tetsuya In The Sky, the Swinging Torture Rack Bomb and the Shooting Star Press. Tanaka was able to kick out at two. Endo quickly applied the Yurikamome Hold but Tanaka cradled him for a nearfall. Endo changed it into the Crossface Lock but Tanaka got out of it by biting Endo’s hand. Tanaka stunned Endo with a Backfist then hit several Sliding D’s, finally keeping Endo down for the three count.

After the match Tanaka said fighting against Endo and DAMNATION was interesting. Tanaka has been wrestling for 26 years and is still in his prime. He has to show that in the ring when he faces off against younger wrestlers. Still, he thanked Endo for the match. HARASHIMA entered the ring during the trophy ceremony. He congratulated Tanaka for winning the Grand Prix then told him they will have a KO-D Openweight Title match on 26th January. He promised him a rematch after their 30 minute draw in the group stage so now they get to have one with higher stakes. Tanaka called HARASHIMA the No. 1 wrestler in DDT. Even though Tanaka won today’s main event, he gave the show closing speech to HARASHIMA.

When HARASHIMA finished his speech, Pokotan came out and confronted him to promote their DDT Extreme Title match on 12th January.

Some of the wrestlers who missed out on reaching the final were pitted together in a 4 Way Match. HARASHIMA wanted it to start off peacefully but it went mayhem when Konosuke Takeshita and Chris Brookes both attacked him. Daisuke Sasaki tried to sneak a pin on HARASHIMA afterwards but Takeshita and Brookes then attacked him. Brookes broke off his short alliance with Takeshita and the match was all against each other from that point on. Sasaki put Takeshita in La Mistica Cross Facelock, HARASHIMA broke it up with the Somato then Brookes caught HARASHIMA in mid-air with a Cutter. Takeshita gave HARASHIMA and Sasaki a German Suplex at the same time, emptying the ring down to just him and Brookes. Brookes put Takeshita in an Octopus Hold then tried to pin him with a European Clutch but Takeshita rolled him into the German Suplex to take the win. This result is considered as payback for Brookes beating Takeshita in the group stage.

A reinvigorated and fully recovered Kazusada Higuchi was victorious in his return match. He wasn’t lying when he said he lost wait during his time off, the audience was impressed by his improved physique. Both he and Yukio Sakaguchi came out to brand new theme songs. Sakaguchi struck Bull James with the God’s Right Knee, allowing Higuchi to pin Yukio Naya with the Doctor Bomb. Backstage Higuchi said he’s been watching DDT while he was recovering from his injury and it just wasn’t the same. Sakaguchi agreed. They want to make DDT fun and rampant so Higuchi and Sakaguchi are going to stir up DDT together!

Super Sasadango Machine wanted to make sure his win over Shinya Aoki last month wasn’t a fluke. To ensure the result would be undisputed their match today would consist of two stages. Stage 1 is the Pro Wrestling Stage, a regular pro wrestling match. When that is over they would then move on to the Oogiri Stage, a comedy quiz where judges Yuki Iino, Mizuki Watase and Yumehito Imanari choose who gave the best answer. The winner of the match is the first person to either win both stages back-to-back or win the Oogriri Stage 3 times. The match began and Aoki immediately made Sasadango submit to the Sleeper Hold. The Oogiri question asked for their dream match for a New Year’s Eve MMA show. Sasadango said Tatsuya Kawajiri Vs Erika Sawajiri in an MMA Vs MDMA fight (Sawajiri is an actress who was recently arrested over drug possession). Aoki chose Takeru Vs Tenshin Nasukawa. Sasadango won the judge’s vote. The match began again and Sasadango immediately gave up to a handshake. The Oogiri question asked to name the sequel for Aoki’s book “Strong Instinct”. Sasadango said “Grand Maison Instinct” while Aoki picked “Daddy”. Aoki got some laughs but Sasadango still won the judge’s decision. Aoki tapped out Sasadango once more with a Cross Armbreaker. The Oogiri question asked for a phrase that will be used as a warning in 2020. Sasadango’s arm was so damaged from the Cross Armbreaker that he couldn’t write a decent answer, so he went with “Safety First”. Aoki answered with “Director Ishii” referring to the disgraced K-1 director Kazuyoshi Ishii. Aoki unanimously won the judge’s decision and was declared the winner of the match.

The freelance Nobuhiro Shimatani was back in DDT to do what he does best. Run around with the DAMNATION signboard! What he isn’t good at is being used as a projectile. Soma Takao tried to Body Slam him onto their opponents in the 3 Way Match but they kept rolling out of the way. Shimatani did get a few whacks in on Akito & Shunma Katsumata with his signboard until he accidentally hit Takao with it. From there Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura double teamed on Shimatani and finished him off with the Osaka Strad. Nautilus are now ready to challenge for the KO-D Tag Team Titles on 3rd January. They are also taking over the Drop Kick Bar from Akito in the new year.

One of the goals for Saki Akai’s “Okibariyasu” series is to bring in joshi and let them experience what DDT is like. In the case of Sakura Hirota this turned out to be the most DDT match in a long time. First Hirota came out dressed as Akai and mimicking her entrance. Then we found out her children were at ringside where there was a special play area built for them to stay in. Also Antonio Honda was babysitting them. The situation was so distracting that Yukinori Matsui missed some pinfalls. Hirota used Kancho attacks to get the advantage until Honda called for an emergency because one of the kids soiled their diaper. Akai, Hirota and Matsui all agreed to speed up the match with cradles and quick pin counts. Hirota attempted to do the Quetzalcoatl but couldn’t apply it properly. The result was only her flipping onto her back empty handed. Akai gave Hirota a Kancho poke then pinned her with the Rookie Award. It was announced afterwards that Akai’s third opponent in her series will be against Rina Yamashita on 12th January.

Fatherhood is taking it’s toll on Makoto Oishi. So much so that he decided today’s One Count Gauntlet Match would be his last match. He informed all of his opponents backstage before their match and everyone agreed to give him their best. The results went back and forth. Oishi pinned Danshoku Dieno with a Cradled counter to the Danshoku Driver. Hiroshi Yamato pinned Oishi with the Sliding X. Oishi went 2-1 when he caught Mizuki Watase with a Running Forearm. Mad Paulie flattened Oishi with the Lou Thesz Press. Antonio Honda went for his old Gongitsune trick but Oishi saw it coming and cradled him to make it 3-2. Masahiro Takanashi countered the Jikiden Tornado Clutch into a Crucifix Pin to even the score. Kazuki Hirata turned the match into a dance until he overdone the Tegatana strikes to Oishi’s neck. When Toru Owashi entered the match Oishi was still knocked out from the attack. Owashi pleaded with him to get back up but Oishi wouldn’t move. Oishi placed his hand on Oishi’s chest and didn’t realise it counted as a pin. Oishi’s final opponent was Yoshihiko. Oishi fought with all he had left, using all his strength to get a rope break from a Scorpion Deathlock. Yoshihiko was thrown into the air for the Reincarnation but Oishi rolled it into a pin to end the match with a win. All the wrestlers begged with him to reconsider his decision. Oishi then revealed it was all a misunderstanding. Today was his final match… in 2019. He wanted everyone to do their best today because it was the final DDT show of 2019. He’s not retiring. Who said that? Oishi loves pro wrestling and he wants his newborn daughter to grow up and watch him wrestle.

Rivals turning into teammates seems to happen a lot in wrestling nowadays. It happened here with Yuki Iino and Chihiro Hashimoto joining forces to take on Keisuke Ishii & Keigo Nakamura. They weren’t 100% compatible but still came out on top. Iino hit Nakamura with the Haka Elbow and Hashimoto followed up with the Albright to win. When asked if they were interested in going after the KO-D Tag Titles, both liked the idea but think they can do it on their own.

A brand new championship called the DDT Universal Title will crown its first champion on 23rd February. The belt was created as part of DDT’s international plans for 2020. Both Takeshita and Brookes have expressed their interest in becoming the first champion. Takeshita believes being the first champion on any belt is a special thing and he also wants to spread DDT across the world. Brookes thinks him versus Takeshita is the match to make to determine the first champion. Also the Praying Mantis Bomb will always beat Takeshita and Brookes wants another singles match to prove it.

The final Tokyo Joshi Pro show for 2019 featured a best two out of three fall main event. The current champions all joined forces to take on their 4th January opponents in an 8-Woman Tag Match. While there were plenty of match-ups mixed up together, each fall focused on a particular pairing for 4/1. The first fall went to the challengers when Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino used the Bakuretsu Bulldog on Miu Watanabe.

The champion team equalized by winning the second fall. This time the finish was all about the Ittenyon main event between Yuka Sakazaki and Miyu Yamashita. Sakazaki avoided the Attitude Adjustment then caught her opponent by surprise by pinning her with the Mil Clutch α, the move used by her rarely seen sister Mil Clown.

The deciding fall went to the champions. This time Hikari Noa called out Maki Itoh to face her in the ring. Even though they were the legal participants Sakazaki dove onto Yamashita with a Spaceman Plancha while Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi got rid of The Bakuretsu Sisters with their finishers. This left Noa all alone to get pinned by the Flying Big Head from Itoh.

After the match Itoh told Noa that this was the difference between a champion and a challenger. She advised Noa to spend the remaining days training for their title match. Sakazaki said the champions today all gained momentum. Also today is her birthday! The audience cheered for her before the roster filled the ring to close out the show.

Sakisama admitted that Pom Harajuku was more of a challenge than she thought. She will be heading home to Paris after today but don’t cry, she will see everyone again. That’s a promise.

1. Gake no Fuchi Single Match: Jiro Kuroshio defeated Miyako Matsumoto with an Inside Cradle (34:01).
2. Special Tag Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Tequila Saya defeated Jiro Kuroshio & Miyako Matsumoto when Saya pinned Matsumoto with the Grand Maestro de Tequila (5:48).

The debut of Gake no Fuchi Joshi Pro brought along 100 fans to the Saitama Wrestle Battle Hall. According to Miyako Matsumoto that meant these 100 fans did not go to Korakuen Hall for the other big joshi show running today on Christmas Eve, which pleased her. She went over the previous history of Gake no Fuchi and explained how the promotion came back to life. She was worried with how the show would work out but is very satisfied by the result.

The advertised match between Matsumoto and Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio was held under Gake no Fuchi rules. They are mostly the same as pro wrestling rules. However at random times during the match a whistle will be blown and a minigame will take place. Their example of a minigame was “something like the battle between light and darkness that has been around since the beginning of history.” Points are awarded to the wrestlers depending on the result of the minigame. Should the wrestling match end in a 60 minute draw then whoever has the most points will be declared the winner.

Matsumoto was the first to make her entrance. She completely copied Kuroshio’s entrance by using the “HELLO” song, wearing her own Ikemen jacket and stalling for as long as he would. The referee Daisuke Kiso then came out and also did the Ikemen entrance with the same song and his own jacket. The song continued playing for a while until Chikara unexpectedly came out doing the entrance! Finally Kuroshio appeared, confused as to how or why Chikara got here. Chikara explained he was the witness for the match, so he went to sit down at ringside.

The match began with Kuroshio threatening to squash Matsumoto. They locked up, fought around ringside for a little bit then Kuroshio hit Matsumoto with a big Shoulder Block that looked to have knocked her out. The whistle blew and it was time for the first minigame: “Ryogoku Sumo Match Day 1!”

The two squared off for a game of sumo. Kuroshio threw down Matsumoto and received a point for winning. The match returned to pro wrestling rules until the whistle blew again. The next minigame was “Ryogoku Sumo Match Day 2!” Matsumoto improved this time but still could not beat Kuroshio so she was now losing 2-0 in points. A puzzled Kuroshio shouted at his opponent, asking if she knew anything about Sumo?

The whistle blew for the 3rd minigame: “Gake no Fuchi Proxy War!” Out came the Ohuchi Rider to confront Chikara who had suddenly fallen to the Dark Side. Rider attacked Chikara with a bottle opener and a brick but Chikara deflected them with a lightsaber. Chikara used the Force to make Rider choke himself by wrapping a chain around his own neck. Ohuchi Rider was defeated which means Kuroshio won his third point.

The 4th minigame was “Gake No Fuchi Last Gig Confrontation”. A keyboard was placed in the ring and both wrestlers had to play a song. Matsumoto went first and played Kuroshio’s entrance song “HELLO” on a melodica. She thought she had outsmarted her opponent but Ikemen surprised everyone by playing “Bakusho Sengen”, the theme of Shinya Hashimoto on the keyboard! Ikemen won the audience vote and increased his lead to 4-0.

There was no time to recuperate because they went straight to “Ryogoku Sumo Match Final Day!” Kuroshio put Matsumoto in a Manjigatame while Rider and Chikara played sumo. Kuroshio let go of Matsumoto and threw Rider onto the mat. The referee ruled it as a win for Kuroshio. He tried to give Matsumoto a Brainbuster when the whistle blew again.

This time the game was “Gake No Fuchi Flag Race”. Both Matsumoto and Kuroshio had to lie face down near the entrance. After a countdown the first person to get up and attack Kiso wins the point. Matsumoto got into the ring faster than Kuroshio but Kiso avoided her attack and struck her with a Flying Cross Chop. Now Daisuke Kiso had won a point!

There were a few nearfalls and the match looked like it was back to normal. Then there was yet another whistle for a game of “Gake no Fuchi Must Not Laugh Christmas”. A manzai style comedy double act entered the ring wearing bathrobes (the woman was Metropoli-chan V, I didn’t recognise the man). Their act didn’t get either wrestler to laugh. Chikara entered the ring and hit the comedians with a baseball bat, forgetting how the game is supposed to work (you hit the person who laughs). This made Kuroshio laugh so he got hit. Kiso laughed at that so he got hit too. Matsumoto finally won a point!

Chairs were then brought into the ring for the next game “Gake no Fuchi Live Morning TV”. Matsumoto, Kuroshio, Chikara and Kiso all sat down together and had a TV style debate about marriage. The game went to a no contest when Chikara lost his temper and attacked the other wrestlers.

Both Matsumoto and Kuroshio could barely recover when the “Gake no Fuchi MC Battle” began. It was a rap battle. Kuroshio won. By this point 30 minutes had passed in the match. Chikara might have attacked them with chops at this point. I don’t know, I’m losing my mind.

Anyway the next game was the “Gake no Fuchi Squat Confrontation”. The wrestlers and Kiso began to squat. Kiso gave up almost immediately. Matsumoto eventually lost because her knee did not bend properly for the squat to count so now Kuroshio had 7 points.

Believe it or not that turned out to be the last minigame of the match because they went back to wrestling from here on out. Kuroshio missed the Moonsault Press. Matsumoto gave him a Small Package for a nearfall. Kuroshio then revered the Small Package and pinned Matsumoto for the three count.

Kuroshio told Matsumoto he felt connected to her after doing this match. He once did his own self-produced show in Shinjuku FACE so he knows what it is like to do a similar project. Matsumoto thanked him for giving her the match before he leaves Japan. She hopes they can team up together one day. She thinks they can be a super dangerous tag team together on the same level as Heisei Ishingun or the nWo! Kuroshio promised they will tag as many times as possible when he returns to Japan.

But that wasn’t it for the show! Suddenly Sanshiro Takagi came out. He liked the match they just had and likes the idea of them teaming together even more. So they are going to have a tag team match against Takagi straight away! Takagi’s tag partner is somebody who also is going to have a final match of her own soon. It’s Tequila Saya from Ice Ribbon!

Matsumoto put her Ikemen jacket back on and along with Kuroshio attacked their opponents to start the impromptu match. Takagi & Saya rallied and with the help of Chikara hit a Train Attack on Matsumoto. Kuroshio came to her aid and helped Matsumoto do the Mamma Mia Z. But Takagi caught her and countered with the Spicolli Driver. Saya went for the Grand Maestro de Tequila but Matsumoto countered it with her own clutch for a nearfall. Matsumoto and Saya went back and forth with Cradles until Saya successfully applied the Grand Maestro de Tequila to win.

Takagi thanked Saya for coming over today and told her to enjoy her remaining pro wrestling life before her retirement match on 31st December. He also thanked Kuroshio and said it will be the last time they will wrestle each other for a while. Finally, Takagi congratulated Matsumoto for successfully bringing back Gake no Fuchi. He encouraged her to recreate the brand’s history with her own hands. After all, Matsumoto is one of the best when it comes to self-promotion. Takagi then left because it’s Christmas Eve and he has a family to be with. Saya told Matsumoto that her retirement match will consist of 38 one minute bouts. She asked if Matsumoto could be one of her 38 opponents. Matsumoto wasn’t sure if she could make it but quickly accepted when it looked like Saya was going to leave.

The show ended with Meari Naito singing “All I Wants For Christmas Is You” while everyone danced around her. Then Matsumoto had one last message to tell everyone. Gake no Fuchi is back but she cannot do this on her own. She is looking for trainees or other newcomers to help her make this place bigger and bigger. This was not your regular Kazuki Hirata appearance. When he entered for the main event his usual “TOKYO GO!” song switched over to Hirata’s first entry song “Katare! Namida!” by SEX MACHINEGUN. There was no dancing or comedy, Hirata was here to win the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title from Keisuke Ishii! Hirata hit the GO! GO! Splash for a nearfall but couldn’t go through with the Egoist Driver when he needed to. Ishii slipped out of the move and hit a Tiger Suplex to turn the tide against his opponent. The High Angle Double Arm DDT ended up finishing Hirata and giving Ishii another title defence. After the match Ishii said his goal is to defend the title 17 times so he can break the championship record for most defences. This is only his fourth one so he couldn’t lost to Hirata today. Hirata accepted total defeat and encouraged Ishii to reach his goal. The show ended with all of Ganbare☆Wrestling gathering together in the ring. A tearful Ken Ohka spoke about how wonderful the group became this year. But it won’t be enough until Ganpro makes it to Korakuen Hall, Sumo Hall and even the Tokyo Dome! In 2020 Ganpro will become a major pro wrestling company!

Okay so I didn’t know this but the current Real GUTS Army team have actually been called Hattoshite Good Alps Industry because Guts Ishijima was no longer involved. The Hattoshite name is based off of a Toshihiko Tahara song. It probably doesn’t matter anymore because Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari & Miss Mongol beat them to win back the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles. It was the result of a months long plan by Imanari to discover Kenichiro Arai’s weakness. Whenever they locked up, Imanari would make a strange noise that would make Arai run away with fear. He regained some control when Masked Mystery distracted the referee so he could remove a turnbuckle pad. Shota swung the pad but Imanari ducked and Arai took the hit. Ohka & Mongol held the others back while Imanari pinned Shota with his version of the Gedo Clutch, causing the title change. Ohka wants to claim the belts as a Ganpro championship from now on. All they have to do is pretend the “GW” in GWC stands for Ganbare☆Wrestling instead of Guts World. Mongol revealed in a backstage interview that her daughter is currently sick in hospital. When Mongol visits her later in the day she will cheer her up by telling her the good news about her mother winning a championship.

The Tokyo Joshi Pro Christmas show had a couple of presents in store for everyone. Four singles matches were determined by a lottery. In the main event Yuka Sakazaki and Mina Shirakawa faced off. Shirakawa had lost the Best Body Japan Women’s Title earlier this week so an opportunity to wrestle the Princess Of Princess Champion would be a great way to bounce back from that. However Sakazaki was able to beat her by countering the Implant DDT into the Merry-Go-Round. The Magical Magical Girl Splash afterwards finished the match. Sakazaki gave Shirakawa credit for getting stronger. She told everyone to go out and enjoy what’s left of this year.

It wasn’t a win but Hikari Noa can keep her head held high for going to a time limit draw with Mizuki. She wasn’t even at much of a risk of losing when the time expired. Mizuki went for the Diving Foot Stomp and Noa rolled out of the way, avoiding the move. So you can’t say she was saved by the bell.

Yuna Manase, Pom Harajuku and Mahiro Kiryu took part in a lottery to determine who would team with Sakisama in Match #3. Kiryu pulled out the piece of paper with the drawing of a rose on it, which meant she got the spot. Unfortunately nobody told Sakisama. She asked why did she have to team with “such a poor smelly child.” She agreed to team with Kiryu and ordered her not to mess up. Whether she did or not, you can be the judge. Sakisama went to do the Big Boot into the corner, Harajuku dodged it, Kiryu took the boot and Harajuku rolled her up for the three count. Sakisama blamed Kiryu for the loss but Kiryu stood up to her! She lost today but she didn’t lose to Sakisama and someday… she will definitely beat her! Surprisingly, Sakisama was somewhat impressed by Kiryu’s attitude. She told Kiryu to get stronger and to be patient for her to return from Paris.

The show featured a few important returns outside of the matches. Hyper Misao reappeared after the 3 Way Match to surprise Shoko Nakajima. Misao returned because she thinks there are not enough heroes in Tokyo Joshi. Her goal for 2020 is to make everyone in TJPW a superhero! She said if she beats Nakajima on 4th January then Nakajima will have to rename herself Hyper Shoko. This idea annoys Nakajima because she likes being a kaiju and she doesn’t want to lose the “Nakajima” part of her name either. Maybe if she beats Misao then Misao will have to be a kaiju and change her name? Nakajima was about to suggest one using Misao’s real name but before she could finish, Misao called for her music to play and left the ring.

Natsumi Maki appeared at the start of the show to announce her return match on 4th January. Maki suffered a knee injury in her first International Princess Title defence against Yuna Manase in September. She successfully got it surgically repaired and had been training for her comeback ever since.

Last but not least, another trainee announced she will debut on the Korakuen Hall show. Shiori was first introduced to the public back in April as part of the same class as Mirai Maiumi and Suzume. She reappeared at a fan club event in August before showing up again here today. She also said from now on her ring name is Sena Shiori.

In the main event the DAMNATION wrestlers all attempted to do Jinsei Shinzaki’s Praying Power Bomb at the same time but they were all blocked with Back Body Drops. They recovered and singled out Shunma Katsumata for the finish, with Tetsuya Endo getting the pin. Afterwards Endo shook Shinzaki’s hand. Endo told the Shiraishi crowd that their city flourishes at midnight when there is only the flashing traffic lights illuminating the area. Shiraishi is where Endo was born and raised which means Shiraishi is also the home of DAMNATION.

The Nautilus team think they have gained some good experience from the D-Ou Grand Prix. They also now have a chance to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles because Naomi Yoshimura defeated Daisuke Sasaki. However that was the only victory Yoshimura claimed in the tournament while Yuki Ueno was able to beat Endo and Keisuke Ishii. They now know they will need each other to become champions.

When Gorgeous Matsuno pinned Danshoku Dieno in their tag match, Dieno warned him that he is part of the new generation coming to knock the O-40 Champion off his perch!

The final of the D-Ou Grand Prix 2020 is now set. Masato Tanaka completes an undefeated run in the B Block but has not quite pulled off a clean sweep. With an earlier result on the show giving HARASHIMA one last lifeline to reach the final, he couldn’t afford to lose against Tanaka. With both becoming their most stubborn version of themselves as the match progressed, a win was not coming for either of them. Tanaka kicked out of the Firebird Splash while HARASHIMA got a rope break after the Sliding D to the back of the head. Tanaka avoided the Somato and gave HARASHIMA a Back Drop Hold when the bell rang for the time limit draw. With this result, Tanaka finishes on top of the block uncontested. He and HARASHIMA shook hands after the match and praised each other.

The final at Korakuen Hall on 28th December is now confirmed to be Tetsuya Endo Vs Masato Tanaka! Endo came out and said he worked out long ago that Tanaka was going to make it this far. He then asked Tanaka if he wanted to come work for DAMNATION. Tanaka slapped away Endo’s hand, rejecting his offer. Endo warned at Korakuen he will show what it means to decline his offer. Tanaka said there are a lot of companies with new young wrestlers now on top. But there are still the older wrestlers around and he is different from everyone else. The two pressed their heads together for a face off before Endo left.

Whatever slim chances Daisuke Sasaki had left to top the group vanished when he lost to Naomi Yoshimura. For Yoshimura the result ended his Grand Prix losing streak. In an even stronger message, Yoshimura kicked out of the Pedigree with a one count. Almost a year ago Yoshimura suffered a cervical sprain when Sasaki spiked him with that move. Sasaki hit another Pedigree but Yoshimura kicked out again this time at 2. Sasaki went for La Mistica Crossface Lock but Yoshimura used his power to block the transition and then drop down on top of Sasaki to pin him for the three count. With this win Yoshimura wants a KO-D Tag Team Titles match. He also wants that match to avenge his earlier defeat to Soma Takao.

The other remaining D-Ou match had nothing but pride on the line. Yukio Sakaguchi countered the Reverse Gory Special Bomb into a Sleeper Hold. Takao rolled him into a pin to break it up then attempted the Gin And Tonic. When that didn’t work, Takao ran to the ropes. On the rebound Sakaguchi struck him with the God’s Right Knee for the win. Backstage Sakaguchi reflected on the current state of the D-Ou Grand Prix after three tournaments. He mentioned some of the absences. Kazusada Higuchi was injured and MAO is wrestling overseas so they have excuses. But Sakaguchi doesn’t understand why half of ALL OUT stayed away from the Grand Prix this time around.

In non-tournament matches, Chris Brookes used a chop to the neck to knockout Bull James. James fell on top of Antonio Honda and Kazuki Hirata did the GO! GO! Splash onto both of them for the pin. Hirata said he is going to change gears when he challenges Keisuke Ishii for the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title in Ganbare☆Wrestling on 22nd December. Hirata will also hold a special 10th Anniversary show on 14th March next year.

Gorgeous Matsuno used one of Cherry’s trademark moves against her to defend the O-40 Title. Cherry went for the Spring Night Love but Matsuno ended up pinning her with a reversal. Matsuno called Cherry an unexpected dark horse to challenge him. Even though the title is for over-forties there is still an 18 year difference between the two of them. Matsuno will continue to defend the title so he can share his middle-aged dreams, hopes and spirits with the fans.

The Time Limit Battle Royal was dusted off for today’s Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title defence. Makoto Oishi entered as the champion and had to survive 10 minutes against the rest of the field. He told his opponents he wanted to protect the championship until his new born daughter grows up. However Yukio Naya wanted to win the title because he hasn’t won a belt in DDT yet, so Oishi’s plea fell on deaf ears. A chain of Headscissors outside the ring resulted in the Iron Man Title changing hands four times at once with Masahiro Takanashi ending up as the current champion. Mizuki Watase noticed the D-Ou Grand Prix trophy was nearby so he carried it over and pressed it down on Takanashi to pin him. However Yukinori Matsui declared that the trophy was now the champion and not Watase! Matsui brought the trophy into the ring and Watase climbed the ropes threatening to hit it with a Missile Dropkick. Hisaya Imabayashi ran in and dove onto the trophy to protect it but Matsui thought he was pinning it so he counted to three and made Imabayashi the new champion! Imabayashi used the microphone to defend himself from Naya and the others until Saki Akai got her hands on him. She set him up for the Quetzalcoatl and Imabayashi got so scared of taking the move that he instantly gave up. Akai was the champion when time ran out which means she won the match. However at the end of the show more title changes happened and Toru Owashi left as the champion.
