Who knows how much of this will stick in the next few days. I’m writing this while hearing the Olympics are likely to get postponed until next year. If that’s going down then no way does the pro wrestling schedule in Japan for the rest of the year remain unscathed.

Konosuke Takeshita, Chris Brookes and Yuki Ueno were going to be in Tampa along with the Tokyo Joshi Pro crew but that’s not happening now. The three of them will instead wrestle each other back in Japan. Show them what America will miss lads.

Tetsuya Endo criticised HARASHIMA for failing to protect his friends from losing again. Endo then said it won’t be HARASHIMA or Jiro Kuroshio who will be main eventing Sumo Hall in November. It will be Endo taking back the KO-D Openweight Title!

Nobuhiro Shimatani used the DAMNATION signboard as a weapon in his match but it came at a great cost. He broke the sign over Isami Kodaka’s face! Kodaka pinned Shimatani then had a staredown with Daisuke Sasaki.

Konosuke Takeshita asked for a singles match with Asuka at the 29th September show in Korakuen Hall. Takeshita promised that if Asuka can beat him, she will become the next No. 1 Contender for the KO-D Title after Takeshita defends it in Sumo Hall.

Gorgeous Matsuno has been riding on a wave of momentum this week. He recently finished 2nd Place in the 50s Class for a Best Body Japan bodybuilding competition in Tohoku. His ultimate goal is to win the big Grand Prix competition happening in November. But before that happens he will focus on pro wrestling and he challenged Sanshiro Takagi for the O-40 Title.

A few injuries during the week alters tomorrow’s card. The light one is Sanshiro Takagi. He injured his right eye and is missing this show. He will be getting it further examined next week but hopes to be clear for Masahiro Takanashi’s show on the 15th. Gorgeous Matsuno took it upon himself to replace Takagi in Match #2.

The bad injury happened to Kazusada Higuchi during yesterday’s “UNIVERSE.1” show. He tore his right PCL and has no timetable for a return. He does not need surgery and will be aiming to recover as soon as possible. Ryota Nakatsu takes Higuchi’s place in Match #3.

With the new 2nd Gen belt over her shoulder, Shoko Nakajima is now even more motivated to defend the Princess Title. Her next challenger is the wrestler who has by far progressed the most among the roster this year, Misao. Ever since Misao shed her superhero persona and joined NEO Biishiki-gun she has gone from strength to strength.

I wonder if Sakisama holds a grudge with Yuki Kamifuku over her attempt to join NEO Biishiki-gun last year? Kamifuku joined the unit as an apprentice last May then quit after two weeks when she figured out it was a bad fit for her.

Miu Watanabe Vs Hikari Noa is a match to watch out for. The two members of the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) have developed so much in the ring this year and part of the reason why is they branched out to other tag teams outside of their unit (Momoiro Sparkling for Watanabe and Pandemic Boo-Boo for Noa). Gotta be honest here, I think Raku is in danger of never catching up to them.

An example was used by Sanshiro Takagi when he kept a chair he used at the TAKAYAMANIA show from earlier this week. Ohka’s example is the jacket and ten gallon hat he wore during his absence from Ganpro shows last year.

Cody Hall is the mystery wrestler in the opener. He met Antonio Honda and got along with him because the Gongitsune hand gesture resembles the Wolfpac gesture that Cody’s dad Scott Hall is known for.

The BOYZ brand is getting a fresh start under Akito’s management. Wrestlers booked on the first show will also be appearing at the SHIBUYA FASHION AWARD-BE Vint-Age 2019 festival the same day to promote a fashion brand called Yukihero Pro Wrestling. The main event will feature the wrestlers involved wearing costumes from that clothing line.

Akito doesn’t remember ever seeing MAO wrestle Takeshita in a singles match so he decided to book it before MAO’s excursion. Kouki Iwasaki is being booked on BOYZ because Akito wants to see him interact with DDT wrestlers more often. Higuchi and Yuki Iino are also being booked despite their alliance to the YaroZ brand. Akito believes there are women at these shows who find those kind of men attractive too. Akito plans to present them in a way that makes them more suitable for the BOYZ brand. DAMNATION wrestlers are disallowed except for Nobuhiro Shimatani because he works under Akito at the Drop Kick Bar.

A lot has changed since then but for now the people he wanted in his match are his biggest rival (Honda), his first tag partner (Riho, not “him”) and the wrestler who possibly might have caught his attention the most (Miyu Yamashita). Will there be more coming out of this? Wouldn’t be a party without surprises, would it?

She fled to the mountains in Kyoto and became secluded from society after her husband’s death. Her time spent there seemed to have prevented her from ageing. She might be a demon but no one can confidently confirm it.

Antonio Honda & Yasu Urano will reveal their mystery partner for 1st September on this show.

DDT has begun holding exclusive wrestling events for their fan club. Tickets were only available to members but there was no matches announced in advance. Nobody knew what they were going to get until the show took place.

The main event was the latest six-man tag match between Smile Squash and Shuten-dōji but the semi-main event was unexpected. Two teams were mixed together as Keisuke Ishii & Konosuke Takeshita fought Shigehiro Irie & Tetusya Endo to a 20 minute draw. There was no bad blood between any of the wrestlers fighting their partners. After the match Ishii declared a challenge to the KO-D Tag Team Champions.

The Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki Vs Sanshiro Takagi & Kazuki Hirata match wound up going outside of the venue and into the streets. Ibushi and Takagi were the ones fighting outdoors and Ibushi was able to Moonsault off of a small panda car. Hirata was still inside the building dancing while all this was going on. Ibushi returned to the ring a stopped the dancing with a Missile Dropkick. He then hit the Sit Down Last Ride for the win.

Danshoku Dino, Antonio Honda, Soma Takao and Shunma Katsumata all wound up wrestling bare-assed during their match due to Danshoku shenanigans.

All three former members of Pigging faced each other in a 3 Way Match. Tomomitsu Matsunaga proposed that the loser of the match would suffer a punishment. That punishment was the loser would have to pray at a nearby temple while still wearing his wrestling gear. Michael Nakazawa and Gota Ihashi both agreed to the stipulation and teamed up to try and beat Matsunaga. However, Matsunaga kept rolling out of the ring whenever he was in danger. His opponents eventually got literally tired of dragging him back into the ring so they fought each other. Nakazawa hit Ihashi with the Ultimate Venom Arm and collapsed on top of him. Matsunaga then jumped on top of the both of them for a double pin and won the match. Nakazawa and Ihashi went to pray at the temple in their gear after the show.

Two exhibition matches were held featuring some of DDT’s recently revealed trainees.

DDT teamed up with girl group BiS for a combined concert and Anywhere Pro Wrestling match. The rainy weather in the theme park set the scene for the show’s storyline. After BiS advertised their final concert to be held in July, Sanshiro Takagi and his team approached the stage and interrupted the performance. Takagi wanted to put a stop to the concert. Hiroshi Fukuda came to the rescue and was joined by Emi Sakura and DJ Nira, who both had tickets for the show. Jun Kasai also showed up because he has history with BiS. He was the cornerman for BiS member Pour Lui when she wrestled at Sumo Hall for DDT last year. Takagi called in back up and out came Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi and Michael Nakazawa. An 8-Man Tag match was decided there and then but with a stipulation attached. Kasai and Takagi became the captains of their team and the match would only end when one captain pinned the other. For every other result, BiS would get to perform a song whenever Kasai’s team won a fall and a BiS member would be punished whenever Takagi’s team won a fall.

The match began on the stage and Takagi immediately pinned Fukuda with a Stunner. He decided to punish one of the BiS girls by writing on her face with a marker. The match restarted near a rollercoaster where Sakura embarrassed Nakazawa into submission by pulling down his shorts and tying him into a ball with them. BiS performed the song “Mylxxx”. The match then went over to the Space Shot ride where Fukuda was pinned again. A BiS member was forced to take a ride in the Space Shot where she was launched 60m into the air. Kasai won the next fall by putting Nakazawa through a table with the Pearl Harbour Splash. As a result BiS got to perform “Spell Of The Sun” while riding on a merry go round. Fukuda once again lost a fall after Nakazawa took him down with the Ultimate Venom Arm. Nakazawa then decided Pour Lui should be given the Ultimate Venom Arm too! Lui got her revenge when Kasai gave her a barbed wire baseball bat. She took out her frustrations on Takagi’s team with the bat, even striking Dino in the rear end with it. Kasai hit Takagi with the bat and Fukuda finally got his moment when he pinned Takagi with the Perfect Plex, winning the match for his team! Takagi admitted defeat and BiS performed one more song to end the show.

4 Way Mixed Tag Team Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Yuzuki Aikawa defeated Danshoku Dino & Yoshiko, Kota Ibushi & Jaiko Ishikawa and Michael Nakazawa & Miho Wakizawa when Aikawa submitted Nakazawa with a Hooters Attack (53:15).

DDT held its first ever 4 Way Mixed Tag Match in a street to celebrate the wrestling career of Yuzuki Aikawa. The location was the same theme park that has held DDT’s previous “Anywhere Pro Wrestling” events and many of its rides and attractions played a part in the match once again. The night belonged to 222cm Big Guns, aka the team of Sanshiro Takagi & Yuzuki Aikawa. They used Michael Nakazawa & Miho Wakizawa as target practice at a fairground shooting range and rode mechanical pandas while Kota Ibushi, Jaiko Ishikawa, Danshoku Dino and Yoshiko all fought each other in between rollercoaster rides. The four teams then fought inside a merry-go-round where Yoshiko thought it would be the perfect time to hold hands with Ibushi. As the wrestlers dragged each other into a nearby pond, Nakazawa disappeared. He came back dressed in Aikawa’s Sentai Power Ranger Blue costume, which was very revealing from behind. He attacked Takagi and kicked him into a castle of chairs that just so happened to have been set up that day. Back in the pond, Ibushi did a Cancun Tornado from the bridge onto everyone below in the water. Ishikawa dealt a great deal of damage on Aikawa, giving her the Thunder Fire into the pond.

Those still fighting moved back to the stage where Nakazawa got the upper hand and gave everyone the Ultimate Venom Arm. But when he thought he was the last one standing, a voice suddenly yelled “Yuzupon!” It was Aikawa to the rescue, dressed in a skimpy Stars & Stripes bathing suit. She and Takagi overpowered Nakazawa and had an emotional moment. Takagi asked Aikawa if she thought pro wrestling was fun. Aikawa cried and said it was. They then struck Nakazawa over his back with a Double Yuzupon Kick and Aikawa finished him off with her bouncy cleavage to win the match.

Afterwards Takagi and Aikawa repeated their exchange about pro wrestling being fun. Aikawa promoted Stardom’s big show in Sumo Hall on 29th April that will include her retirement match. She only wrestled for two and a half years but she will have a lot of memories when she is done. She also hopes that with a month left to go, she does not get injured before she retires. Everyone then got together as group and screamed “We Are Stardom!”

DDT and Stardom join together to check off one final achievement from Yuzuki Aikawa’s wrestling bucket list before she retires in April. The one thing left that Yuzuki wants to do is to take part in DDT’s famed street wrestling matches. Sanshiro Takagi, who has probably been Yuzuki’s biggest fan throughout her bouncy career has granted her wish and set up the match to take place in Japan’s oldest amusement park, the Asakusa Hanayahiki in Tokyo.

It was originally supposed to be only two teams taking part in the match. Takagi and Aikawa will look for revenge on Danshoku Dino & Yoshiko for losing to them at “SWEET DREAMS!” last month. Kota Ibushi then showed up upset that nobody told him about DDT doing another street wrestling match. He added himself into the match but was told he needed to have a female tag team partner. Yoshiko was furious that she has to team with Dino again instead of her darling Ibushi and opted to join his team. She thinks she can win his heart by wrestling in the street just like he does. Dino cockblocked her and told Ibushi to find someone else. Ibushi did just that and announced Jaiko Ishikawa (Shuji Ishikawa’s… identical twin sister?) as his partner. Takagi joked that the two have to be dating each other.

So it looked like a 3 Way Tag was set when Michael Nakazawa made his presence felt. He too wanted to be in the match and he called over Stardom wrestler Miho Wakizawa to be his tag partner. He then taught her how to do the Ultimate Venom Arm and they formed a Venom Arm Connecion to signify their new team.

1. Big China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Championship – 3 Way Tag: Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa defeated Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei and Danshoku Dino & Chou-un Shiryu when Sawa pinned Shiryu with the Shining Festival (59:35).
*V2 for Takagi & Sawa.

Another chaotic DDT match is over and done with as Munenori Sawa (the “Hentai” in the show’s title) participated in his final Anywhere Pro Wrestling bout. A 3 Way Tag Team match for the Big China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Titles was the only match on the show but it went on for almost an hour. Chou-un Shiryu was determined to win back his country’s championship and teamed up with Danshoku Dino to go after the belts. The Brahman Brothers were the third wheel and dark horses of the title match, bringing along their unpredictable shenanigans.

The event took place in a flower garden that contained rollercoaster rides. The brawling was allowed to go anywhere, except on the flowerbeds. Michael Nakazawa was the host running around the area shouting through a megaphone. Kota Ibushi, Antonio Honda, GENTARO and Hiroyo Matsumoto all showed up at certain points and got involved. Ibushi of course attacked the other wrestlers with fireworks. Traffic cones, powder, tobasco sauce, ketchup, a bottle of Coca-Cola containing Mentos and a Sanshiro Takagi sing-a-long were all used as weapons. The match wound up at a lake with a small bridge going across it. Sawa ran off a plank attached to the bridge and landed a Shining Wizard on Chou-un Shiryu in the water for the victory. Afterwards, Takagi announced that the Big China Tag Titles were going to be sealed and no longer defended in Japan. However, he promised Chou-un that the belts will be returned to China and can be reinstated over there if he wishes.

One last thing happened to close out the show. Takagi thanked Sawa for his time wrestling in DDT and Union by presenting him with a brand new bicycle!
