BASARA “BASARA 258 ~SOUEN~”, 11/10/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Takato Nakano defeated Takeru Inoue with a Step-up Enzuigiri (8:15).
2. 2 Vs 4 Handicap Match: FUMA & Gouma Ryu defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Yasu Urano, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & KUBITO when Ryu pinned Hiroshi with a Diving Body Press (12:47).
3. Masato Kamino & Yusuke Kodama defeated Isami Kodaka & Ryota Nakatsu when Kamino pinned Kodaka with the Lariat (9:07).
4. Billy Ken Kid defeated Daichi Kazato with a Cradle (12:37).
5. Union MAX Title: Minoru Fujita (c) defeated Masahiro Takanashi with the Modified Samson Clutch (22:21).
*V7 for Minoru Fujita.
It was around four years and eight months ago when Masahiro Takanashi defended the Union MAX Title against Minoru Fujita. It would be the last successful defence of his reign and he would lose the belt a month later by getting injured during his next title match. He never felt like he was beaten for the belt. Fujita meanwhile has been carrying the defeat to Takanashi ever since it happened and wanted the chance to exorcise it. So today’s match was an important title match for both wrestlers. Takanashi can regain the MAX Title and continue from where he was cut off or Fujita beats him properly and avenges his defeat from 2020. Either way Takanashi came to BASARA to finally get some closure.
The match was a bitter fight and Fujita even admitted out loud he waited four years for this. He did the Tombstone Piledriver but Takanashi kicked out of it. Fujita then countered the Takatonic and went for another Tombstone but it was turned into a Cradle for a nearfall. The two wrestlers kept countering Cradle moves on each other until Fujita pinned down Takanashi with the Modified Samson Clutch for the three count. Fujita said he worked really hard for this win which is why he is really happy about it. He and Takanashi now both have one win against each other. Takanashi said they could settle their score with a drinking contest in the ring. The two did just that with Takanashi finishing his drink before Fujita could. Fujita called Takanashi an irreplaceable friend who is always there for him. Also Fujita now has the record for most MAX Title defences in a single reign.
Daichi Kazato tried using a lot of unusual rolling moves to confuse Billy Ken Kid but in the end Kid was able to roll Kazato onto his shoulders and pin him down for the victory.
Even though Isami Kodaka lost to Masato Kamino he asked him for a UWA World Tag Team Titles shot after the match. Kodaka also said Hideyoshi Kamitani will be his partner because they haven’t teamed together in a while. Kamino accepted the challenge for 22nd October and said Aijin Tag won’t lose to a hastily made team.
At the start of the show FUMA and Gouma Ryu started talking about their careers outside of wrestling (hunter and lawyer respectively) and started getting along even though they were supposed to be opponents later. KUBITO then called Ryu a part-time wrestler which Ryu found insulting. FUMA & Ryu both wouldn’t stand for it so they decided to change their 6-Man Tag Match into a Handicap match. The two of them were now teaming up against the other four wrestlers! During the match Ryu kept getting ganged up on by his opponents and FUMA got tired of saving him. FUMA walked out of the match leaving Ryu to fight by himself. Through sheer luck Ryu fought off his opponents and climbed the top rope to hit a big finish on Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi. FUMA then reappeared at the entrance armed with his hunting rifle and he shot Ryu. Ryu ended up falling on top of Hiroshi anyway and scored the pinfall.

2. Tokyo Joshi Pro Offer Match: Moka Miyamoto defeated Haru Kazashiro with the Rashomon (6:54).
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Danshoku Dieno & Yoshihiko defeated Shunma Katsumata, Soma Takao & Kazuki Hirata when Dieno pinned Takao with the Danshoku Driver (12:42).
*Danshoku Dieno wins Soma Takao’s Blue Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Shield.
4. Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul defeated Chris Brookes, Akito & Kazuma Sumi when Paul pinned Sumi with the Reverse Splash (10:51).
5. Special Tag Match: Ryota Nakatsu & Yuki Ishida defeated HARASHIMA & Keigo Nakamura when Nakatsu pinned Nakamura with the V Slider (13:15).
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs BURNING!: Yuki Ueno, MAO & To-y defeated Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku when To-y pinned Koroku with the Kojima Impact (19:53).
The Spear was the turning point in the main event. Yuki Iino was able to hit To-y with the move like he usually does but he used it again when the match broke down and this time tackled Yuya Koroku by accident. To-y then got the upper hand by giving Iino a Brainbuster and he pinned Koroku with the Kojima Impact. A triumphant To-y told Iino after the match that no matter how many times he is knocked down, he will always get back up. It will keep happening until To-y finally breaks Iino and wins the DDT Universal Title! Backstage MAO says he and To-y keep having to encourage each other for their upcoming matches. MAO lost the Universal Title to Iino so he is cheering on To-y to win it for him. To-y is encouraging MAO to be brave and fight Kota Umeda again because MAO was always scared of him back in DNA.
Most of Harimao were back together. Ryota Nakatsu & Yuki Ishida were teaming up while Naomi Yoshimura was present for the match. However Yoshimura is still not cleared to return to wrestling yet and Nakatsu claims he is banned from entering Kyushu so that’s why Ishida has chosen wrestlers from outside Harimao to challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles next week. Ishida will instead team with Akito & Yukio Naya. He is calling the team the Dosukoi Three Musketeers.
Chris Brookes is now focused on getting revenge on DAMNATION T.A. He didn’t team with anyone else from SCHADENFREUDE International today but that didn’t stop him from attacking his enemies before the match began. Daisuke Sasaki later complained about Brookes fighting dirty and asked if it’s because he’s mad that Ilusion belongs to DAMNATION T.A now? Brookes promised SCHADENFREUDE will kill DAMNATION T.A at Korakuen Hall later this month. Meanwhile KANON mocked Akito for only challenging for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles because Ishida told him to join his team. Sasaki suggested that KANON should fight Akito for the DDT Extreme Title instead.
Today’s show was taking place on Jun Akiyama’s birthday but it is Danshoku Dieno who left with a present. He pinned Soma Takao to take one of his Right To Challenge Shields. Dieno already has an idea of what to do with the Shield but isn’t telling anyone what it is. Also in the match Kazuki Hirata complained he is always being booked against Yoshihiko so he attacked the doll with skewers and his team injured the doll with a Super Piledriver. However later in the match the room went dark and Yoshihiko made a dramatic reappearance from the rafters. Shunma Katsumata accused Yoshihiko of copying Sting so Yoshihiko attacked him with the skewers.
The show had several comedians booked to perform in-between some of the matches. Sanshiro Takagi took part in one of the skits dressed as Kenshiro from Fist Of The North Star.

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul (c) defeated Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada when Sasaki pinned Masada after the Freedom Call (14:14).
*V2 for DAMNATION T.A.
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles – Makoto Oishi’s Last DDT Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata (c) defeated Makoto Oishi & Danshoku Dieno when MAO pinned Oishi with the Iai Kick (25:09).
*V1 for ShunMao.
Today was Makoto Oishi’s final day as a DDT pro wrestler. It was a busy day for him because he wrestled twice on the show. His contract has now ended and he is planning to move to Miyagi in order to spend more time with his family. While his wrestling schedule is being reduced for the time being it is not the end of his career. He might even show up in DDT again some day in the future. But as far as everyone was concerned, today was treated as him saying goodbye to the company that’s been his home for 13 years.
Oishi’s final match was put in the main event where he teamed with Danshoku Dieno as Gunname Express to challenge ShunMao for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. There were also DDT wrestlers who’ve been close to Oishi for the last few years that stood in his corner at ringside. Oishi explained why halfway through the match. He got on the microphone and said he wants to give more DDT wrestlers one last chance to fight him so they should enter the ring right now! One by one the DDT roster got into the ring and hit Oishi with one of their signature moves. They were Keigo Nakamura, Kazuma Sumi, Yuki Ueno, To-y, Jun Akiyama, Sanshiro Takagi and finally Kaisei Takechi. After that happened Dieno & Oishi performed a 4 way Lip Lock on MAO & Shunma Katsumata. Katsumata and Dieno both collapsed from it, leaving MAO to pin Oishi with the Iai Kick.
After the match Oishi reminded everyone he isn’t retiring. In fact it is likely he will be at DDT’s shows in Osaki and Fukushima next month because they are not far to travel from Miyagi. Dieno left the ring crying anyway. MAO said Oishi will be gone from DDT but Oishi-ism will remain because ShunMao learned from him. Backstage, Hisaya Imabayashi told ShunMao their next title defence will be against Kota Umeda & Tomomitsu Matsunaga on 13th October. ShunMao refused because neither of them want to be in the ring with Umeda again but Imabayashi ignored them and made the match official.

Ilusion lived up to his name because all this time his dream to join SCHADENFREUDE International was just an illuison! You can thank DAMNATION T.A for that because they were in on it the whole time. Ilusion betrayed SCHADENFREUDE by costing them the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles right when they were about to win the belts. Takeshi Masada had Daisuke Sasaki pinned and beaten when Ilusion pulled away the referee and then attacked Masada with a chair. Sasaki & KANON then finished him off with the Freedom Call for a successful title defence. Sasaki announced Ilusion as the newest member of DAMNATION T.A although in reality he has been with them for a long time. Naturally the SCHADENFREUDE members are devastated by what happened. Chris Brookes though is already putting his mind to getting revenge.
In the first prelim match for the upcoming KO-D Openweight Title challenge, HARASHIMA is feeling good about his chances against Shinya Aoki. After winning the tag match HARASHIMA told Aoki it’s been more than three years since their last singles bout together. Seeing Aoki face to face again reminds HARASHIMA how strong he is which makes him worth defeating. Aoki admitted he should be more cautious going into the title match or else he will lose. Until then he’s going to use the remaining prelim matches to tighten up his resolve.
Oishi’s other match on the show was put together by Takechi’s request. The star wanted to team with his mentor so DDT put the two of them against Akito & Kazuki Hirata. It was the first time Takechi got to experience DDT at its wackiest. He joined in the Hirata GO! dance and outperformed everyone else during it. He then used Oishi’s move the Miracle Ecstasy on Hirata and Oishi followed up with the Jikiden Tornado Clutch for the victory. Takechi then read a letter to Oishi after the match thanking him for teaching him to be a pro wrestler from scratch. He hopes one day he will meet Oishi again whether it’s in private, at work or in the ring.
The mindsets of champion and challenger for the upcoming DDT Universal Title match could not be any more different. Yuki Iino is relaxed and confident that he is going to win while To-y is getting paranoid that he will be given the Spear at any moment. To-y said he is going to take everything that makes Iino BURNING and turn it into NeppoWER!! However Iino told him the reason why he Spears him so easily is because To-y has no guts! When the title match happens Iino promises he will use the Spear to split his opponent in two!
How in the hell did we end up with Soma Takao holding both of the remaining Right To Challenge Shields? He considered auctioning them off but decided against it. Instead he is planning to carefully use them one by one and warned everyone to keep their eyes on him.
Yuki Ishida wants a shot at the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles on 14th October because that is the date of his homecoming show in Kumamoto. His wish was granted and he chose Yukio Naya & Akito to be his tag partners.

There was a special guest who paid DDT a visit today. Touchi-kun is the mascot of the Japan Self-Defence Force’s Tokyo headquarters. However his appearance drew the ire of a jealous Pokotan and the two mascots got into a fight at ringside! DDT decided to settle this problem by giving Touchi-kun his debut wrestling match on the 4th November show in Sumida Ward!
It was announced that Satoshi Kojima will also be at the 4th November show.

The room already gets cramped whenever Baka Gaijin + Friends books a tag team match. How do they have the room to do a 6-Man Tag? Also Mr. Bueno and Mr. Malo have been described as being complete opposites of each other. Does that make mean they will make a good team or a bad team? Ram Kaichow might need to be the anchor of the trio. CDK (or should that be ChieDK?) will have nothing to worry about since Chie Koishikawa has been a compatible teammate for both Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi in the past.

*Shunma Katsumata fails in V7. Akito becomes the 60th DDT Extreme Champion!
6. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Iino (c) defeated Yukio Naya with the Spear (17:04).
*V1 for Yuki Iino.
7. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO & Kaisei Takechi defeated Chris Brookes, Masahiro Takanashi & Takeshi Masada when Ueno pinned Masada with the WR (25:11).

For the second time this year DDT can thank Kaisei Takechi for getting them a sold out Korakuen Hall. Seven months after his impressive debut, Takechi was back to have another match. He was with Yuki Ueno and The 37KAMIINA again this time with MAO along for the ride. Takeshi Masada was a familiar opponent from last time but now he’s a part of SCHADENFREUDE International. And when you get SCHADENFREUDE you get the antics of Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi to deal with. They used the rubber band spot on him from across the room and Brookes threw Takechi’s into the iron rails at ringside. Brookes also beat Takechi’s chest red with Chops. However Takechi fought back by hitting a No Touch Topé Con Hilo onto everyone outside the ring and then giving Brookes a Choke Slam. The match then came down to Ueno pinned Masada with the WR ensuring that Masada is still unbeaten after two matches.

After the match Masada wanted to keep fighting Takechi even though he lost. Brookes though calmed things down and even shook Takechi’s hand. Takechi said he is still new at wrestling and does not want to stop here. Makoto Oishi is one of his mentors and he heard Oishi’s final match with DDT is on 3rd October. Takechi wants to have a match with Oishi on that show even though he knows Oishi is already booked for a KO-D Tag Team Titles match. Oishi thought about it. He pointed out it would be disrespectful towards the champions if he uses up some of his energy wrestling another match beforehand. However ShunMao both gave them the thumbs up to do the match. DDT later announced that match will be Takechi & Oishi against Akito & Kazuki Hirata. Until then Takechi is going straight back to doing his duties with THE RAMPAGE. Backstage Masada complained that him losing this match and Hideki Okatani losing the first match back in February is not showing the future of DDT in a good light. He swears the next time he faces Takechi he will beat him with a three count.

Takechi drawing in a big crowd fired up the undercard to show what the rest of DDT is made of. Yuki Iino’s defence of the DDT Universal Title against Yukio Naya was a battle between the last two homegrown heavyweights still standing in the company. In a match filled with Chops, slams, Shoulder Blocks and Lariats Iino had to hit three Spears on Naya to beat him. It took three Spears because Naya kicked out at one the first time, at two the second and was finally pinned for three on the third time. The two shook hands after the match and praised each other.

Iino was then suddenly ambushed by To-y after Naya left the ring. He gave Iino a Dropkick but was then taken down with the Spear. To-y’s spirit wouldn’t break though and he challenged Iino for a shot at the Universal Title. Iino ran the ropes looking to Spear him again but instead stopped himself and accepted the challenge because To-y wants it so badly. It will happen in Fukuoka on 13th October. Iino warns that it will only take one Spear to beat To-y and he is confident it will happen. To-y wants to start winning championships like everyone else in The 37KAMIINA is doing. He can’t stay in the position he is in and has no choice but to move forward. That’s why he isn’t losing any heart despite getting Speared over and over.

A new generation of wrestlers got to experience the IPPON Lighttube Death Match. Shunma Katsumata put the DDT Extreme Title on the line against Akito in a tag team version of the match. The added stipulation was Katsumata teamed with Kazuma Sumi and Akito teamed with Yuni. If Katsumata’s team won then it is a successful title defence but if they lost then Akito becomes the new champion no matter who was directly involved in the finish. Yuki Ishida and Yuya Koroku demonstrated the rules of the match using a plastic baseball bat to explain who would lose depending on how the lighttube would break. The match itself had many close calls and near misses with the lighttube. The finish came when Akito Body Slammed Katsumata onto the lighttube, placed Sumi on top of him and then pinned the both of them down. Yuni then did a Diving Foot Stomp onto the pile, causing the lighttube to be crushed underneath. Since Katsumata was lying directly on top of it, the ruling was he broke the lighttube so Akito wins the championship!

Akito was pleased with how the match went and told the others that the stipulation does not exclusively belong to him. He wants the match to belong to represent DDT so he is passing it down to them. Whenever Katsumata, Yuni or Sumi find an opponent who they think can put on an amazing IPPON Lighttube Death Match, Akito wants them to use those rules. Akito then nominated Danshoku Dieno to be his first challenger because he had a secret to tell him. Dieno entered the ring carrying his beloved pet dog Haku and listened to what Akito had to say. Back when Akito was sent by Sanshiro Takagi to go destroy Pheromones, Akito actually liked the gimmick in general. But he hated Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno because he admires Dieno too much to see him in a supporting role. Pheromones meant so much to Dieno and Akito got rid of it so Akito wants to put what is most important to him on the line against Dieno to make up for it. What matters most to Akito is the Extreme Title. Dieno said Akito underestimated him. It’s true that he cared a lot about Pheromones but Dieno has so many other important purposes in life. He also has room to add the Extreme Title to that list on 20th October! Akito shook Haku’s paw to seal the deal.

Dieno was the opponent chosen for Oishi’s final singles match under contract for DDT with the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title on the line. Daisuke Kiso was the referee for the match but Hisaya Imabayashi warned both wrestlers that Yukinori Matsui was sitting backstage and if anybody broke the rules, he would come out and deliver strict justice! A camera backstage filmed Matsui watching the match and Imabayashi would put that footage on the screen as a warning whenever the rules were being bent. Matsui did get angry watching Dieno and Oishi’s antics but he remained backstage. Imabayashi though lost his temper and climbed into the ring to complain, pushing down Kiso for not doing a good enough job. That was Matsui’s breaking point and he marched down to ringside Goldberg style. He got distracted by a few different people including Imabayashi trying to stop him. But they settled their differences with a kiss and entered the ring together along with Dieno’s pet dog Haku. Matsui asked Kiso to let Dieno and Oishi keep wrestling they way they want to because it is Oishi’s last DDT match in Korakuen. The match continued and Oishi immediately tapped out Dieno with a Sleeper Hold to win the Iron Man Title. Dieno then grabbed Oishi in the same move after the match to win it back.

If Match #3 was a test to see if Ilusion deserves to be part of the upcoming KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match then he failed it. DAMNATION T.A all brought chairs to the ring and threw them at Ilusion’s team before the bell. Antonio Honda summoned Gongitsune but the attack hit his teammates and the referee by mistake. Ilusion was thrown into the ropes where MJ Paul broke a chair over his head. Daisuke Sasaki & KANON then finished him off with the Freedom Call to give DAMNATION T.A the win.

Good news for Kazuki Hirata. He doesn’t have to worry about holding the white Right To Challenge Shield anymore because Soma Takao beat him for it. That was in fact Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku’s goal for the match too. All of them wanted to pin Hirata to take the Shield off of him. Hirata had Toru Owashi & Yuki Ishida to play bodyguard for him but that trust eventually ran out. Hirata used the Tegatana chop to knock out both his opponents as well as his own teammates. Endo grabbed Hirata and lifted him up for the Torture Rack Bomb but Hirata slipped on a pair of Hirata GO! glasses over his face to stop it. The two of them danced but when the song ended, Takao rolled up Hirata for the three count behind Endo’s back.

It always feels weird to me when the main championship is the curtain jerker for any wrestling show. But Shinya Aoki had things to do involving the RIZIN show that was happening in Saitama later in the evening so here we have the KO-D Openweight Champion in the opening match. He got to face off against Jun Akiyama but the tag match came down to HARASHIMA pinning Keigo Nakamura with the Somato. HARASHIMA thanked Aoki for teaming with him. He then said he cannot wait any long to try and win a Right To Challenge Shield so he is challenging Aoki for the KO-D Title! It turns out Aoki has been waiting for this moment to happen all along because he thinks HARASHIMA is the undisputed ace of DDT. He accepted the challenge for 20th October and promised to use all of his strength to defend the strongest championship in Japan.

DDT announced they found a main sponsor for their free show in Sumida on 4th November. Geeniest is a character goods company that usually provides pop-up shops in department stores and event halls.

*Danshoku Dieno becomes the 1,673rd champion.
For the first time in a long time DDT worked with Rembrandt Hotel to hold a show in one of their ballrooms. The main event had an unexpected title change when midway through the match both teams got into a convoluted spot at ringside and Shunma Katsumata suddenly pinned Danshoku Dieno on the floor to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. Dieno would then lose the match proper when MAO reversed the Gaydo Clutch and pinned him using a regular Gedo Clutch. Makoto Oishi asked for a rematch this time as a 6-Man Tag. The hotel manager was so touched by Oishi’s speech he gave his approval to Hisaya Imabayashi and permitted them to go ahead with it. The 37KAMIINA would win the match again by pinning Dieno once more. Dieno would finally get his own back hours after the show ended when he attacked Katsumata during the post-show fan event. In the attack he gave Katsumata the Lip Lock and then the Gaydo Clutch to win back the Iron Man Title.
Katsumata’s busy day also saw him beat Oishi in a singles match for the first time ever. They agreed to add a Hardcore rule where each would be allowed to choose a weapon that would be placed at the entrance. Only those weapons were allowed. Katsumata chose a box full of block toys while Oishi’s weapon was a steel chain. Katsumata would use the Miracle Ecstasy to slam Oishi onto the blocks. He then wrapped the chain around his own waist and hit the Totonou Splash for the win. The two were joined by Yuni & Kazuma Sumi after the match. All four of them danced together as Shin NωA. Katsumata later promised the next time he fights Oishi he will try to win without using any weapons.
Yuki Iino’s team lost to Yukio Naya’s team today but Iino is still confident he will defend the DDT Universal Title against Naya at Korakuen Hall next Sunday. He is still more BURNING than Naya and will burn even more at the title match. Naya said the audience who will see them at Korakuen will be a mixture of long time fans and first time viewers. He believes everyone won’t be able to take their eyes off of himself and Iino when the two heavyweights clash with each other.
After Match #4 Ilusion challenged DAMNATION T.A to a KO-D Tag Team Titles match. Daisuke Sasaki took a minute to drink a glass of beer before making a decision. He decided he will accept a challenge from SCHADENFREUDE International but he will not accept any challenge from Ilusion because he wears a weird looking mask! Chris Brookes comforted Ilusion because he thinks the challenge was a good idea. It was later decided that Brookes, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada will be the SCHADENFREUDE team getting the title shot on 3rd October.

DDT “ROJO PRO WRESTLING IN NARAHA TOWN ~J VILLAGE~”, 21/09/2024
J Village, Naraha Town, Fukushima
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Falls Count Anywhere 10-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO, Shunma Katsumata, To-y & Yuki Ishida defeated Chris Brookes, Danshoku Dieno, Yukio Naya, Keigo Nakamura & Kazuma Sumi when To-y pinned Nakamura with the Naraha Volley Shot (63:26).
*Naraha Town PC defeated Chinchester United.

Bad weather didn’t stop DDT from paying a visit to Naraha Town for an unusual pro wrestling match. The area they chose to hold the match was a half sized soccer court so the match was treated just like a game of football. That’s right it was a Fighting Soccer Rules match!

To-y led his team called Naraha Town PC (Pro Wrestling Club) to take on the away side known as Chinchester United. The Chin U captain Danshoku Dieno declared that if his team wins then the J Village would be turned into a “G Village”. Both sides walked onto the pitch accompanied by child mascots and stood for the national anthem before kick off.

The match was a game of football where the players were allowed to use wrestling moves on each other. Also after every five minutes a mini-game took place. There was a game of keepy uppy, a goal kick distance challenge and also a sumo match for some reason. Naraha Town beat Chin U but the visiting team begged for the match to be decided by penalty shootout.

Naraha won the shootout 3-2 but Chin U didn’t take to the result kindly. A shoving match broke out between the teams and Keigo Nakamura suddenly headbutted To-y, Zinedine Zidane style! A brawl broke out and Dieno decided since they are all pro wrestlers they are going to have a pro wrestling match right now!

The match was Falls Count Anywhere. It started in the football court and spread out from there. Chris Brookes gathered together umbrellas to attack the other team with, Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata attacked Kazuma Sumi over by a tree, Sumi reversed an Irish Whip and threw Katsumata down a nearby hill, a chain of Headscissors was formed on the ground and Yukio Naya flipped it over into a long Boston Crab hold stretching across the path. MAO then gave Sumi a Tombstone Piledriver onto the concrete. A table was brought over and Yuki Ishida put Nakamura through it with a Fire Thunder Driver.

The match found its way over to another football pitch nearby. This time it was a full sized one but everyone decided to just focus on one end of the field. Another penalty shot challenge took place but this time it was Naraha Town all giving Chin U a collective Penalty Kick at the same time. Chin U set up a reversal but Naya got impatient and went to kick Katsumata before any of his teammates were ready.

A ladder was set up for Dieno to put himself in the Hell Gate position but Katsumata later used it to hit the Totonou Splash on both Dieno & Sumi. To-y sprinted from one end of the pitch to the other and gave Nakamura a Leg Lariat into the goal. The Naraha Volley Shot kept Nakamura down for the count and To-y won the match for his side.

At the end of the day, Naraha Town PC celebrated their hard earned victory. To-y told the fans that his next goal is to get DDT to hold a proper show with a wrestling ring in Fukushima.

7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & Shunma Katsumata defeated Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada (c) when MAO submitted Masada with the Dick Killer (21:36).
*SCHADENFREUDE International fails in V1. ShunMao becomes the 84th KO-D Tag Team Champions!
ShunMao have won the KO-D Tag Team Titles they had to give up almost a year and a half ago! The match was supposed to be held under regular tag rules but chaos broke out immediately when the two teams tried attacking each other with the title belts. Right after that a brawl broke out with everybody from both SCHADENFREUDE International and The 37KAMIINA. Things calmed down only to get chaotic again after Yukinori Matsui suffered from a ref bump. ShunMao could have gotten the win earlier when they gave Takeshi Masada the Our Mad Max but the replacement ref Daisuke Kiso was then knocked out by Chris Brookes. With no refs around at all, more weapons were brought into the match like staplers and plastic boxes. Matsui got his senses back but the title belts were still kept around to be used as weapons. Masada used one of the belts to shield himself from Shunma Katsumata’s Totonou Splash. He then hit MAO with the belt but MAO countered his finisher into the Michinoku Driver II onto the same belt. MAO then put Masada in the Just Face Lock and morphed it into the Dick Killer variation to make him tap out.
MAO told everyone after the match that he still has a lot of ideas that he’s been saving up for this new title run and he wants to do them all even if it means he’ll get scolded a lot. He gave credit to Masada and admitted he underestimated him. He has become a great SCHADENFREUDE-like wrestler and deserves to be considered one of ShunMao’s rivals along with CDK. He also suggested the next time these four wrestlers face each other it should be a match with all of the ring ropes taken down! Hisaya Imabayashi then informed ShunMao they will have a title defence on 3rd October and asked if they have any suggestions for challengers. They remembered Makoto Oishi’s final day of his DDT contract is on that date so they want to defend the titles against him. Oishi walked out with Danshoku Dieno and said he wants ShunMao to be his final opponents as a DDT wrestler. He also wants to win the tag titles with Dieno because they never held those belts together before. MAO called Oishi his master and said it is an apprentice’s job to make things easier for their master. Without Oishi, ShunMao would have never become champions so they agreed to face Oishi & Dieno on 3rd October. Backstage MAO warned that it is also an apprentice’s job to deliver the final blow on their master.
Oishi’s last DDT singles match with Yuki Ueno took place before the main event. Dieno was in his corner cheering him on particularly when Ueno tried to beat Oishi with ground work. Oishi got a hold of Ueno by the legs and put him in the Fujiyama Knee Lock but Ueno countered it into a Sleeper Hold. Ueno used the hold for another counter and switched it into the WR to get the three count. Oishi praised Ueno backstage and called him the face of DDT. The match reminded Oishi he’s been in an amazing place like DDT for the last 13 years. Dieno then told Oishi there is something they haven’t done together yet, which led to the challenge at the end of the show.
Ryuichi “Fire” Kawakami announced the time has come for him to change his focus to a certain company with the letter “G” in its name so FIRE DAMNATION are ceasing activities as of today. But Kawakami promises it will come back whenever he returns to DDT.
At the recent No Spoiler Beer Garden show Kazuki Hirata reverted by to his rookie form. He forgot to revert back because he appeared for his match in his old gear using his old entrance music. Akito was confused but went along with it for five minutes. He then got on the microphone and said it was a nice reminder of their earlier days of wrestling each other but he would like to fight the current day Hirata now. Hirata felt unsure a pair of Hirata GO! glasses were brought into the ring. Hirata and Akito put them on, danced while wrestling and then Hirata shockingly pinned Akito with the Miracle One Shot Cradle to win the match and take the Right To Challenge Shield! Hirata wasn’t happy though and he held the Shield with digust. He is still thinking like a rookie and is more concerned about doing his behind the scenes chores rather than worry about winning a championship.

6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Yukio Naya & Kazuma Sumi defeated MAO, Shunma Katsumata & To-y when Sumi pinned To-y with a School Boy (16:52).
*Kazuma Sumi wins To-y’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Shield.
-. DDT Extreme Title – School Boy Only 1 Count Rules: Shunma Katsumata (c) defeated Kazuma Sumi with a School Boy (5:12).
*V6 for Shunma Katsumata. Kazuma Sumi cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Shield.
Poor To-y. Poor, poor To-y. For the third day in a row he approached Yuki Iino in the ring threatening to cash in his Right To Challenge Shield for a DDT Universal Title match. And for the third day in a row Iino went to stop him mid-speech with a Spear. This time however To-y had the move scouted and countered Iino with a Dropkick. He then tried to find Hisaya Imabayashi to hand him the Shield and cash in his shot but couldn’t see him anywhere (Imabayashi was not at the show). By this point Iino recovered, hit To-y with the Spear after all and left ringside.
To-y’s day got even worse when he reappeared for his scheduled main event match and lost by pinfall to Kazuma Sumi! The School Boy that Sumi’s been using thanks to MIKAMI’s influence resulted in To-y’s story coming to a bad end. Sumi’s story however was just about to approach its climax because he immediately used the Shield to challenge Shunma Katsumata for the DDT Extreme Title! Sumi also suggested the special rules for the match should be you can only win with a School Boy and also just need a 1 Count to get a victory. Katsumata agreed to the terms and Yukinori Matsui confirmed the decision in Imabayashi’s place so the match went ahead.
Sumi went for the School Boy three times but Katsumata kicked out before the 1 Count on every attempt. They fought outside and back in the ring Katsumata missed the Totonou Splash. Sumi tried to pin him but Katsumata still kicked out before one. Katsumata dodged a High Kick and gave Sumi a School Boy over and over and over until he finally got a 1 Count to win the match and retain the title. Katsumata gave Sumi credit for coming up with a good time to cash in the shield and now acknowledges he is an “Extreme Man”. They are still going to be linked together as part of the Shin NωA and will be teaming up again soon for the IPPON Lighttube Tag Team Death Match. An upset To-y told the rest of The 37KAMIINA he will win one of the remaining Right To Challenge Shields so he can finally challenge Iino for the Universal Title.
The rules of the Birmingham Style Match is you are only allowed to pin your opponent or give them the Lip Lock if they are wearing a thong. Danshoku Dieno obviously was happy to strip down to his thong straight away but Chris Brookes wrestled the match in his normal outfit. He refused to wear a thong even when Ilusion told him everyone in the audience wanted to see him in one. A ref bump led to Ilusion and Makoto Oishi both getting their tights pulled down to so they were wearing thongs. When the ref recovered he refused to count the pin after Brookes gave Dieno the Praying Mantis Bomb. Brookes stripped down to his boxers but that still didn’t count so he finally put on a thong over them. Dieno then gave Brookes the Lip Lock and pinned him with the Gedo Clutch to become the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion once more. Dieno wants everyone in DDT and the company itself to properly recognize that he beat Brookes in a singles match. Brookes told reporters he drank a Strong Zero immediately after the match in order to quickly forget what happened to him.
Akito stood around ringside after Shinya Aoki’s match but assured him he wasn’t going to cash in his Right To Challenge Shield for a KO-D Openweight Title shot today. If Akito did that and got beaten badly by Aoki then nobody would be manning the concession stand after the show. He instead asked Aoki to hold an autograph sessions over at the stand. Aoki liked the idea and agreed to do it.
Three major singles matches in a row for Yuya Koroku ended with him not winning any of them. He is coming out of the mini-series with a positive attitude though because he learned a lot from fighting three very strong opponents. He’s been looking for a way to catch up with the rest of his generation after coming back from injury and this series has left him fulfilled. Aoki praised him for being strong but thinks he could have reached even higher today. He thinks it will be a waste if Koroku can’t go any further.
Noriyuki Yoshida’s Modified Rock Bottom finisher is really called the mo:tatterarehen? Okay then. What does that even mean? I tried looking it up and couldn’t find anything.
