7. Princess Tag Team Titles: Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh
Tomorrow is Miyu Yamashita’s chance to become the first Double Princess Champion in TJPW history. She was briefly a double champion in 2019 when she held the Princess Of Princess Title and SHINE Title at the same time. But Sakisama has been one of her impossible mountains to climb for almost her entire career. It was only recently she made some progress on that thanks to teaming with Maki Itoh this year. Targeting Mei Saint-Michel may be the right plan to win. If the champions win though and it’s Sakisama standing on top, everything is in place for her to do something she has never done before. Maybe Yamashita won’t be the first Double Princess Champion after all…

This week Yusuke Okada and Hisaya Imabayashi went to visit Kiyoshi Hayashishita’s steak restaurant for a meal. They noticed something was odd when they were only given sausages no matter what they ordered. Okada confronted the chef only to find out it was Danshoku Dieno in disguise! Okada then discovered that his friend Hayashishita was trapped in the restroom with a big, thick sausage in his mouth. Okada freed him and they chased Dieno out of the restaurant. The final straw came when they found Dieno changed the restaurant sign, renaming the restaurant into something vulgar. Hayashishita said he is usually a forgiving man but he will not stand for this! He gave Okada an inspiring speech and encouraged him to beat Dieno at Korakuen Hall. Okada vowed to win for Big Daddy!

2. Danshoku Dieno, Local Hiroshima Triumphant Return! Playfulness Series Act 2: Danshoku Dieno defeated Yuya Koroku with the Danshoku Driver (7:27).
3. Chris Brookes & Shunma Katsumata defeated Toru Owashi & Yuki Iino when Katsumata pinned Iino with a School Boy (9:30).
4. Soma Takao, Yuji Hino & Hiroshi Yamato defeated Akito, Yusuke Okada & Yukio Naya when Hino pinned Naya with the Fucking BOMB (13:22).
5. The Fate Of Those Who Are Chosen To Win! Hiroshima Specialty Special Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Paulie defeated Rey Paloma & Antonio Honda when Sasaki submitted Honda with the Cross Facelock (12:18).
6. DISASTER BOX Vs The 37 KAMIINA!: Konosuke Takeshita, Yuki Ueno & MAO defeated HARASHIMA, Kazuki Hirata & Naomi Yoshimura when MAO pinned Hirata with the Michinoku Driver II (23:24).
After the main event, The 37 KAMIINA grabbed a knocked out Kazuki Hirata and placed the Hirata GO! glasses on him to start the music. Hirata was still knocked out put the power of the glasses made him dance with the other wrestlers. He fell to the canvas again when the dancing ended and was left there to end the show.
Today was Rey Paloma’s first match since recovering from the Coronavirus. Antonio Honda praised him for being sharper in the ring than he expected. Paloma said he was happy to be wrestling in a T-back again.
Somebody had a complaint about Danshoku Dieno’s match being advertised as a homecoming. That isn’t accurate according to Yuya Koroku because the venue isn’t even close to Dieno’s hometown. Hisaya Imabayashi got mad over the revelation and ordered Koroku to destroy Dieno for trying to scam everyone. The GM tried to help Koroku achieve his goal but Dieno overcame the odds and won. Dieno told them afterwards he really is from Hiroshima and if there is anything he is going to confess it’s that he is a lifelong fan of the Seibu Lions, not the Hiroshima Carp.

7. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1G: Kazusada Higuchi Vs Naomi Yoshimura
8. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1H: Tetsuya Endo Vs Chris Brookes
The King Of DDT begins tomorrow and a KO-D Openweight Title shot at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” is up for grabs. The major DDT singles champions are all entering the tournament. Jun Akiyama has said if he wins then he will nominated Sanshiro Takagi as the No. 1 Contender. Konosuke Takeshita won’t let him do that because it is his intention to eventually win the KO-D Title back from Akiyama. Everyone is gunning after Akiyama though. Last year’s winner Tetsuya Endo wants to make a big turnaround for the second half of 2021 and recapture all of his glory from last year. He needs to get past Chris Brookes first and their singles matches in the past have all been too close to call. Shunma Katsumata also has a recent pinfall over the champion which is why Akiyama nominated him to be his 1st Round opponent.
The rest of the field have their stories to tell too. Makoto Oishi has a lot of confidence because his Fujiyama Knee Lock made Yukio Sakaguchi submit. HARASHIMA wants a rematch with Akiyama. Yuji Hino is interested in finding out how strong Sakaguchi can be when he gets angry. Soma Takao is interested in the cash prize. MAO is falling behind the rest of The 37KAMIINA so he does not want to become the weakest member of the group. Akito wants to advance past the semi-final stage he reached last year. Daisuke Sasaki is the only one without any motivation. He saw Yuki Ueno pin Kaito Kiyomiya and doesn’t like his own chances of doing any better. Ueno feels he cannot lose while he holds the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. There is a race to the top forming between DNA alumni Naomi Yoshimura and Kazusada Higuchi.

5. Ganjo Special Tag Match: Yuna Manase & HARUKAZE Vs Yuu Yamagata & Moeka Haruhi
At the last Ganbare☆Joshi show, Yuu Yamagata defeated both HARUKAZE and Yuna Manase then swore never to come back. After months of trying to make contact, Manase disguised herself as an UberEats driver to find Yamagata’s home and confront her to get a rematch at the next Ganjo show. Yamagata didn’t want to create noise in front of her neighbours so she met with Manase at the parking lot to discuss it. She eventually agreed to come back for another match. She will team with Moeka Haruhi to face both Manase & HARUKAZE in a tag bout.
A bunch of outside help is filling up the card. 2AW, MAKAI, Gatoh Move and Miyako Matsumoto all have their own ideas for what should be on a joshi wrestling card.

It turns out that Yusuke Okada and Kiyoshi Hayashishita are friends in real life and Okada promised a “Big Name X” for Hayashishita to see him wrestle in person. That big name is Danshoku Dieno. This is Okada’s idea because fighting Dieno means he can now truly call himself a DDT wrestler. When the three of them met for the contract signing, Dieno gave Hayashishita the Lip Lock and made him faint. Okada swore revenge and promised Hayashishita will be there to see it!

After achieving his goal of getting to wrestle again, Yoshiaki Yatsu has been invited by Takagi to compete in DDT more often if the timing and conditions allow it. Yatsu accepts the offer but wants to do more than a Battle Royal. Takagi came up with the idea to give Yatsu a shot at the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles. DDT will provide Yatsu his three partners. He’d like to have a team of Olympic quality wrestlers but will be glad to get people with amateur wrestling backgrounds.

1. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs X
As soon as Atsushi Onita found out that a second ring would be set up for his Current Blast Death Match, he got in touch with DDT. Onita told them it takes time to set up that kind of match so he wants it to be the very first match of the day, taking place on the pre-show! DDT agreed to his request and plan to move the match over to the main wrestling ring. There will still be two rings set up on the day with something planned for the second ring. DDT just hasn’t figured out what they want to do with it yet.

1. Current Blast Death Match: Atsushi Onita Vs X
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs X
The next KO-D Openweight Title defence will be held in Kawasaki Stadium. The challenger is likely going to be the winner of King Of DDT 2021. The champion himself Jun Akiyama is entering the tournament and gets to nominate his challenger if he wins it. Akiyama has gone on record wanting to choose Sanshiro Takagi as his opponent so two wrestlers in their 50s will be fighting for the championship.
I guess if you’re going to do a major outdoor show at Kawasaki Stadium you have to have Atsushi Onita in an exploding ring death match. The venue will have two rings set up with one of them being used for the explosion match.
TAMURA and Raimu Imai from HEAT-UP will both be on the show. TAMURA is an 18 year veteran while Imai only turned professional last December.

*V3 for Jun Akiyama.
12. GHC Heavyweight Title – Triple Main Event III: Naomichi Marufuji defeated Keiji Muto (c) with the Tiger King Zero (23:30).
*Keiji Muto fails in V3. Naomichi Marufuji becomes the 35th GHC Heavyweight Champion!

The big supershow came and went without a hitch! DDT, NOAH, Tokyo Joshi Pro and Ganbare☆Pro all worked together to offer their best effort at Saitama Super Arena in front of 4,800 fans. When the three main events were done the three main champions of DDT, NOAH & TJPW entered the ring to thank the fans for coming to see them. Naomichi Marufuji said the CyberFight promotions will energize everyone with the power of pro wrestling. Jun Akiyama thanked everyone for attending even in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. He also thanked the fans watching on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Last but not least Miyu Yamashita pointed out this was the largest crowd TJPW has performed in front of. She is certain that many people saw TJPW for the first time today and will be happy if any of them will stick around to see more. The entire cast of wrestlers gathered together on the stage for a massive group photo to close out the show.

Only one title changed hands out of the three main event championship matches. On the NOAH side, Marufuji won the GHC Heavyweight Title from Keiji Muto in what was called a “Genius Showdown”. Muto pulled out all the stops to try and win, going far enough to pull out the Moonsault that he retired three years ago! Just as shocking was Marufuji kicking out of the pin. He then got on the attack and unleashed all of his kicking and knee strikes on the champion. Muto tried to block what he could but he fell to the Tiger King Zero and the title now belongs to Marufuji.

DDT’s main event saw Akiyama choke out HARASHIMA to retain the KO-D Openweight Title. Akiyama entered the ring carrying the giant hammer commonly seen in DDT’s hardcore matches as a sign of loyalty to the company. HARASHIMA took the big risk of doing the Swan Dive Somato but Akiyama rolled out of the way. The champion then struck HARASHIMA with a Knee Kick and then dropped him with the Wrist Clutch Exploder. For weeks the Front Neck Lock was the finishing move used by both wrestlers so it was only fitting for Akiyama to sink it in on his opponent until the referee called for the bell. Backstage Akiyama said he has now defeated all of DDT’s icons. Next in line for him is whoever wins King Of DDT. If Akiyama wins the tournament then he promises to nominate Sanshiro Takagi so they can see which of them in their 50s is stronger.

Over at TJPW, Yamashita scored her first Princess Of Princess Title defence by beating Yuka Sakazaki. The match meant a lot to both wrestlers and they brought out their big moves. Sakazaki attempted the Magical Girl 450 Splash but missed, Yamashita hit the Skull Kick but was too tired to go for the pin allowing Sakazaki enough recovery time to reach for a rope break when she was pinned. Yamashita feigned a Crash Rabbit Heat to make Sakazaki flinch, then redirected herself to hit the move from another angle. With her opponent’s defence down, Yamashita hit the move proper for the victory. Yamashita tried to communicate with Sakazaki after the match but got a big slap across the face instead. Sakazaki stormed off while Yamashita celebrated with her title. Backstage Yamashita said she wants TJPW to push even further and aim for their own event at Sumo Hall.

The big DDT Vs NOAH match of the show provided the perfect storm to show two wrestlers going in opposite directions. DDT’s Yuki Ueno is having a banner year while NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya is currently going through a rough slump of results. The DDT’s team lived up to Konosuke Takeshita’s promise of getting an overwhelming win over Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura. Takeshita used his power to do a German Suplex to Kiyomiya and his own partner Ueno. A big Dropkick from Ueno to Kiyomiya’s face was the move that captured everyone’s attention and the Best Moonsault Ever sealed the deal. Both of the DDT wrestlers were impressed with Inamura’s power though. This might not be the last time they cross paths. Kiyomiya insists that this current run of bad results is just a passing point for him.

The spirit of DDT was on full display when they went into battle against Kongo. The DDT team led by Sanshiro Takagi were as motivated as ever after Kenoh called the company a place only for wrestlers with side jobs. They armed themselves with many of DDT’s signature weapons: the Dramatic Dream Cycle, the rotary drill, the big hammer and the strongest of them all… Yoshihiko! The big meeting in the ring was when Yukio Sakaguchi and Kenoh faced off. During the chaos Kenoh must have lost his mind because he decided to use the Dramatic Dream to run over Takagi on the ramp! He and Katsuhiko Nakajima continued to beat on Takagi when Sakaguchi & Kazusada Higuchi came to the rescue. Sakaguchi hit Kenoh with the God’s Right Knee. Then, with Yoshihiko’s help, he caught Kenoh in the Sleeper Hold and held him back while Takagi pinned Haoh with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb. Takagi told Kenoh afterwards that he hates him but he will never force him to change his style. Every promotion in CyberFight can do the pro wrestling they want to do. There is only one goal and that is become the No. 1 pro wrestling power in the industry!

DDT’s offer match for the show was DAMNATION taking on the combined power of Chris Brookes & The 37KAMIINA in a trios match. MAO pulled out a firecracker but Daisuke Sasaki ducked and the pop hit Shunma Katsumata instead. DAMNATION went on a tear with Soma Takao using a Hurricanrana to Brookes out of the ring onto everyone outside, Tetsuya Endo then hitting a Swan Dive Shooting Star Press and even Mad Paulie getting involved behind the referee’s back. Sasaki finished MAO off with the Crossover Facelock to give DAMNATION the victory.

There were no heel turns in the NOAH Jr. Heavyweight match. I repeat, there were no heel turns in the NOAH Jr. Heavyweight match! The champion trio of Atsushi Kotoge, Daisuke Harada & Hajime Ohara went toe to toe against STINGER. Kotoge & Ohara cut off Yoshinari Ogawa & HAYATA outside the ring while Harada pinned Seiki Yoshioka with the Katayama German Suplex. Harada said it gives his team confidence to go into the match as champions and win.

The SKE48 idol Yuki Arai has gotten a lot of attention with her move into pro wrestling. Today was only her second match but it was still given a big spot on the card given it was her first bout in front of an audience. SKE48 graduate Jurina Matsui was in attendance to see her fight. Arai’s immediate rival Maki Itoh formed the Saitama Itoh Respect Army 2021 to steal the attention away from her. Having Yuki Kamifuku & Marika Kobashi on Itoh’s side worked out in the end because Arai almost pinned Itoh with the Finally (Axe Kick). They broke the count then got into a fight with Hikari Noa & Mizuki. With all of them out of the way, Itoh caught Arai in a Crab Hold then twisted it in a different angle to get the submission win. That version of the move is called the Itoh Punish. Jurina cheered her friend on when Arai was helped out of the ring by her partners.

One of the DDT Vs NOAH matches had Masa Kitamiya smash through Hideki Okatani in under three minutes. Okatani put up a fight in that short time but Suplexes, a Lariat and the Jail Hold resulted in Kitamiya getting his hand raised.

The unofficial SUGI & SAKU Titles match is one that Takashi Sugiura will not remember fondly in years to come. Probably not the weirdest thing Kazushi Sakuraba has ever been a part of though, to be honest. Sugiura & Sakuraba wrestled most of the match wearing their custom Super Strong Machine masks anyway. Before the match began, Super Sasadango Machine held a PowerPoint presentation titled “How To Beat Sugiura & Sakuraba”. You cannot beat them under normal conditions but Sugiura-gun are also not used to fighting against comedy wrestlers. The plan then is to make them laugh to throw them off their game. Sasadango brought out plastic bats to play a Guru Guru spinning game but Sugiura attacked him with it instead. Danshoku Dieno wore a mask of actress Takako Tokiwa’s face to seduce Sakuraba but his trap was foiled by an Ankle Lock. Sasadango unmasked in a moment that looked serious, but it was just so he could wear pantyhose on his head. Sugiura was then forced to wear pantyhose over his head too. He pinned Sasadango to end the bout and then apologised to the fans for having them watch a shit match.

The TJPW 3 Way Tag Match involved three teams all in position to get a future Princess Tag Team Titles shot. Kyoraku Kyomei warned that Shoko Nakajima was going to destroy Saitama Super Arena in a kaiju rampage but Hyper Misao would immediately fix it afterwards like the hero she is. The match went wild with Daydream and The Bakuretsu Sisters also involved. Kyoraku Kyomei came out on top in the end. Rika Tatsumi argued that Daydream still won because she and Miu Watanabe did not get pinned. Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino said they still had fun despite Aino dropping the fall.

Yuki Iino revealed a new pink wrestling outfit when he came out for the opening match. The NOAH team of Junta Miyawaki & Kinya Okada were determined to start the show off on the right track for their company. Miyawaki made Toui Kojima tap out to get his team the win. Kojima ended up with a dislocated left elbow at some point but continued to fight until the end.

The STARTING BATTLE pre-show consisted of three matches and was home to Ganpro’s matches on the day. The headline bout of this section had Shuichiro Katsumura, Kouki Iwasaki & Yumehito Imanari defeat Ken Ohka, Keisuke Ishii & Shota. Everyone involved treated the match as if they were fighting to become the hero of Saitama Super Arena. Iwasaki got the pin and said he is ready to fight with anyone in Ganpro and was proud to do his thing inside this building. Ohka closed out this portion of the show by shouting “We are Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling!”

Antonio Honda was the last person standing in the Battle Royal. The match featured the return to the ring of Yoshiaki Yatsu for the first time in two years. He wrestled with his specailly made prosthetic foot after his right leg was amputated due to worsening diabetes. Yatsu was the first entrant in the match so he wasn’t taking things easy. Wrestlers from DDT, NOAH and Ganpro filled the ring and in the end, Honda used the power of Gongitsune to guide his way to victory.

The very first match of the day was the debut match of TJPW’s newest wrestler, Kaya Toribami. There was very little information about the masked woman given out and a solid performance in the ring today raises some questions. Is this somebody who already has wrestling experience going incognito? For the rest of the field, they could hardly contain themselves to perform in a major venue.

11. KO-D Openweight Title – Triple Main Event II: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs HARASHIMA
12. GHC Heavyweight Title – Triple Main Event III: Keiji Muto (c) Vs Naomichi Marufuji
Some big changes were made to the lineup thanks to some dramatic news over on the NOAH side. This past weekend Masa Kitamiya broke away from Kongo over a grudge he holds with Katsuhiko Nakajima that he just cannot keep to himself for any longer. Now that Kongo has six members instead of seven, a decision was made to turn the 14-Man Tag Match into a 12-Man Tag. Kitamiya will now be put into a singles match against Hideki Okatani, who has been pulled from the DDT team to even the numbers.
On the same show Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine at long last achieved their goal of getting a match booked with Takashi Sugiura & Kazushi Sakuraba. Sugiura had just beaten Sakuraba in a GHC National Title defence when Sasadango & Dieno arrived at ringside. They offered Sugiura-gun two options for their potential match. Either a Guru Guru Bat Death Match or Sasadango & Dieno challenge for the custom made SUGI & SAKI championship belts. Sugiura accepted their challenge for a match but didn’t explicitly say which option he wants. If it’s going to be a title match for those belts then so be it. Sakuraba likes that idea because defending the belts will raise their prestige even if it is against Sasadango & Dieno.
There are also some wrestlers who cannot be on the show for various reasons. YO-HEY and Yasutaka Yano were recently in contact with somebody who had tested positive for Covid-19 so they are staying away from the show. Keigo Nakamura is also treating an injury to his right ACL that he suffered in Kumamoto last Sunday.
One last note on this, I won’t be writing a preview for the show like I normally do for the supercards. The majority of the matches do not have much story building up to them and that is still loads to write about without saying much. I also don’t know a lot about current NOAH (for example last time I paid attention to Shuhei Taniguchi he was under a mask hooking people with a garden fork, now I find out he became disco buddies with Mohammed Yone) so I can’t offer much for their side of the show.

DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2021 TOUR IN OSAKA”, 26/06/2021
Osaka Azalea Taisho Hall
1. KO-D Tag Team Titles: HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata
The Ultimate Tag League winners are now targeting the KO-D Tag Team Champions. When Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata received their trophies, Katsumata called out the challenge to Smile Pissari for the belts. Takeshita challenged for the belts with MAO back in February but couldn’t come out on top back then. Switching over to Katsumata might be the right idea. It certainly paid off already so far. Yuji Okabayashi’s next available date to wrestle in DDT isn’t until the end of the month so the title match is happening in Osaka on the 26th.
DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2021 TOUR IN SHIROISHI”, 18/07/2021
Miyagi Shiroishi White Cube
1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino (c) Vs X, X & X
Tetsuya Endo made the demand to get a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles defence in his home city of Shiroishi. He was surprised more than anyone else when Hisaya Imabayashi agreed to it with no complaints. The idea of a champion defending in his hometown is never a bad one.

Kumamoto Castle Hall Civic Hall

1. Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Akito & Antonio Honda when Sakaguchi submitted Honda with a Cobra Clutch (11:39).
2. Kumamoto Specialty! Horse Sashimi, Mustard Renkon, Taipien 3 Way Match: Daisuke Sasaki Vs Danshoku Dieno Vs Shunma Katsumata ended in a No Contest (8:33).
3. MAO defeated Yuki Iino with the Michinoku Driver II (10:51).
4. Burn, The Land Of Fire! Burn, DDT! Kumamoto Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada defeated HARASHIMA, Chris Brookes & Keigo Nakamura when Akiyama submitted Nakamura with the Front Neck Lock (13:23).
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Shinya Aoki defeated Saki Akai (c) with a School Boy (18:25).
*Shinya Aoki becomes the 1,512th champion.
5. Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno defeated Shinya Aoki & Yukio Naya when Takeshita submitted Naya with the Walls Of Takeshita (14:13).
6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino (c) defeated Toru Owashi, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata when Hino pinned Hirata with the Fucking BOMB (26:55).
*V1 for DAMNATION.
DAMNATION faced a serious challenge from DISASTER BOX. The title contenders dropped the comedy and went in determined to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. It was clear when Kazuki Hirata blocked Tetsuya Endo’s Shooting Star Press, causing big damage to Endo’s ribs. Soma Takao saved the match for DAMNATION by pulling the referee out of the ring while Naomi Yoshimura had Endo pinned. Endo wiped out Toru Owashi & Hirata with the Sasuke Special, leaving Yuji Hino to carry on the heavy lifting from that point on. Hino lifted that load by Fucking BOMBing Yoshimura for the victory.
Endo told they audience that DAMNATION couldn’t afford to lost against such small fish. He accused DDT of leaving him alone after he lost the KO-D Openweight Title to Jun Akiyama back in February (Hisaya Imabayashi denied that) so Endo was going to do something selfish. He demanded the next KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles defence to take place in his hometown of Shiroishi on 18th July! Imabayashi accepted the demand which caught Endo by surprise. He thought there would have been some resistance but the GM said it was fair for the champion to want such a thing. Someone in the audience not paying attention shouted where the show was and Endo responded it is in Shiroishi, a beautiful city just like Kumamoto. That got a good response from the local fans.
Before the semi-main event took place, Saki Akai received a one year pass for Kumamoto Castle Natural Hot Spring (a location previously used for DDT’s Street Wrestling matches) from the director. Then suddenly Shinya Aoki ran into the ring and pinned Akai with a School Boy to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title! Aoki then ran away but was ordered to re-enter the ring to wrestle his tag match happening next. His tag partner Yukio Naya dropped the fall, submitting to the Walls Of Takeshita. The focus then switched to Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno promoting their DDT Vs NOAH match at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” next week.
Twice now HARASHIMA has won recent matches with the Front Neck Lock to send a message to Akiyama. He got it alright and used the same move to submit Keigo Nakamura while HARASHIMA could only stand nearby and watch. The two had a stare down after the match. Today was the last preview match so next time they are in the ring together is when the KO-D Openweight Title is on the line!
MAO’s unusual movements threw Yuki Iino off his game and left him confused at points. It led to Iino losing his temper and trying to first fight Daisuke Kiso and then Hideki Okatani, thinking they were both MAO. Iino eventually got his head straight but still went charging in for his attacks without thinking. MAO was able to catch Iino with the Michinoku Driver II twice with the second time getting him the win.
Something was odd about Daisuke Sasaki when the 3 Way Match began. He had the kanji “男” (otoko/man, the first character in Danshoku Dieno’s name) written on his forehead and started behaving in a Danshoku-like manner. It was then revealed that Dieno brainwashed him so they could gang up on Shunma Katsumata! After a Lip Lock ref bump happened, Toui Kojima ran into the ring to rescue Katsumata and win approval from The 37KAMIINA. Sasaki grabbed Kojima and they briefly fought outside of the room. Sasaki disappeared but Kojima returned looking like he would rescue Katsumata from Dieno again. Instead Kojima took off his clothes to reveal he was wearing a Danshoku outfit underneath! Kojima grabbed Katsumata to do unspeakable things to him and Yukinori Matsui called off the match once he regained consciousness.

6. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) defeated Akito with the WR (28:09).
*V6 for Yuki Ueno.
Yuki Ueno went into the evening half of the doubleheader in less than 100% condition. In the early show, Akito heavily targeted Ueno’s knees knowing it would still effect him when it was time to have the DDT UNIVERSAL Title match. However Ueno made an effort not to show pain, appearing in the ring without any tape covering his knees much to Akito’s surprise. It didn’t change Akito’s gameplan though and he continued to focus attacking Ueno’s knees. Ueno was still able to hit his Standing Shining Wizard and even the BME but the damage done left him slow to pin Akito afterwards. Akito’s chance for the Goliath Birdeater was shaken off with another Shining Wizard followed by a Dropkick right to the face. Ueno then did the WR and it was enough for him to win the match.
Before today, Ueno wasn’t sure if he was able to get through this match with Akito. He had fun fighting him and is welcome to doing it as many times as he can, as long as he is the defending champion of course. Ueno invited the rest of The 37KAMIINA into the ring. He was joined by the full unit and also Toui Kojima who tried to fit in before being sent off by the others. Ueno told the fans his goal is to have another title match in Hakata by the end of the year.
It seemed that Jun Akiyama was in a good enough mood to tolerate Kazuki Hirata’s antics. He encouraged Hirata to dance to his music before the match and offered him a handshake afterwards. Akiyama then Headbutted Hirata and the match began from there with Akiyama against HARASHIMA. Speaking of HARASHIMA, he had a message for Akiyama. He had Yusuke Okada beaten with the Somato but instead of going for the pin, he used Akiyama’s signature Front Neck Lock to make Okada submit instead. HARASHIMA then promised to beat Akiyama at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” for all of the DDT fans.
Match #2 immediately went off the rails when Danshoku Dieno got his hands on Toui Kojima in an inappropriate way, causing the no contest. Hisaya Imabayashi demanded a restart because he knew how much Sanshiro Takagi wanted to wrestle in Fukuoka again after a long time away. It was still ridiculous but Takagi got to do lucha spots with Toru Owashi so he was happy with the effort.
There were two Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes after the opening match. Antonio Honda tripped and hurt his knee while celebrating his team’s win. He used Gongitsune to poke everyone in the eye, including Chris Brookes. Honda then pinned Brookes with a School Boy to take the Iron Man Title away from him. When Brookes argued with him, Saki Akai caught Honda with a Big Boot and then pinned him with a School Boy of her own to become the new champion.

5. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

The first Ultimate Tag League winners have been crowned and it is The 37KAMIINA! A tiebreaker match was expected to come out of the last day and it came with Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata facing off against Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino from DAMNATION. Their match earlier in the tournament ended in a draw and both teams were already tired from already wrestling their own matches earlier. It all came down to Katsumata using all of his strength to give Hino a Back Drop. With the big guy out of the way, they were able to give Sasaki the MADMAX to win the league. Takeshita thanked the fans for supporting them to the very end. Katsumata was really happy because this was the first league he has ever won. He then challenged Smile Pissari to a KO-D Tag Team Titles match!

The 37KAMIINA went over Junretsu to reach the tiebreaker with Katsumata getting the upset pinfall over Jun Akiyama! At first it looked like Junretsu had the match won when Makoto Oishi put Takeshita in the Fujiyama Knee Lock while Akiyama had Katsumata in a Front Neck Lock. Akiyama went to finish him off with the Wrist-Clutch Exploder when Takeshita broke in and hit a Knee Strike. Katsumata then rolled a surprised Akiyama over with a School Boy for the three count.

DAMNATION made it to the tiebreaker at Eruption’s expense. Yukio Sakaguchi trapped Sasaki in the Cross Armbreaker but Hino broke it by Power Bombing Kazusada Higuchi onto them. Sasaki then put Sakaguchi into the Cross Facelock and Sakaguchi had to give up.

In a preview of the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match, DISASTER BOX defeated DAMNATION and HARASHIMA sent a message to Akiyama by using one of his signature moves to win. After HARASHIMA hit the Somato on Mad Paulie, he then applied a Front Neck Lock to make him submit. Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao took their anger out on Kazuki Hirata afterwards even though he wasn’t in the match. Endo also showed disrespect to Toru Owashi at the start by stepping on the O-40 Title belt and calling him a pig. Naomi Yoshimura came out of the match feeling so motivated that he wants to target all of the DAMNATION members for his stablemates.

Akito couldn’t hide his smile when he saw Yuki Ueno enter the ring with his waist all taped up. Ueno got the last laugh today by hitting him with the WR while his team went on to win the match. Akito had to be helped out of the ring and Ueno told him he is still going to wear the DDT UNIVERSAL Title despite being bandaged up.

Hirata was mistreated even more when the 5 Way Match began before he entered the ring. Danshoku Dieno propped himself over the turnbuckles to provide an An*l Power charging station for everyone to use. It powered up Antonio Honda’s Gongitsune, Saki Akai’s Big Boot, Yuki Iino’s Haka Elbow and Hirata’s Tegatana hand. Iino hit the Haka Elbow on Honda but Hirata wiped his an*l charged hand over Iino’s face for a distraction and then stole the pin.

Toui Kojima is still trying to be accepted into The 37KAMIINA. He did the “NeppoWER!” pose to Keigo Nakamura instead of a handshake. Meanwhile Hideki Okatani almost broke Yuya Koroku in half with a Crab Hold.

Not a day’s rest without posting an update. Tokyo Joshi Pro will be holding events on 22nd May after all. Their original Azalea Taisho Hall in Osaka event has been pushed back to June and a doubleheader at Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR in Tokyo takes its place. The roster will be split in half with twelve wrestlers booked for the afternoon show and the other twelve competing in the evening show. However Arisu Endo and Moka Miyamoto will be on both shows. They are the only wrestlers working double duty that day. Gotta get them extra reps in.
