DDT Around The World – February 2026

March 1, 2026

Phew! Finally made it through the month with a lot more clearer pictures to look at. Konosuke Takeshita has moved on from the Kazuchika Okada feud to become a focal point in the rivalry between The Don Callis Family and the Death Riders. Takeshita against Jon Moxley is the destination while bringing in a variety of wrestlers for some good trios bouts in the process. I’ve been happy watching this feud so far because the matches have been constantly good and highlighting some of the AEW wrestlers I really like. However Okada is still making moves in the background because he might have just stolen Takeshita’s tag partner! He only just formed ProtOkada with Kyle Fletcher this past week which should eventually add another layer to Takeshita’s story with The Family.

Next up we go to Tokyo Joshi Pro and their ever increasing international schedule. After a lot of hullabaloo that had driven me crazy, the return to Las Vegas was finally confirmed to be real. That can be added to the Texas tour, the Vancouver tour and also a show in Italy all coming up in the next couple of months (and maybe more). With that being said, the ticket sales for the Texas tour so far look dismal from what people can find online and the savvy marketing work done by Tokyo Story USA is almost nowhere to be seen this time around. We may be due some harsh lessons this time around, like how maybe last year’s success really did just come from holding the shows next to a big destination wrestling event.

Elsewhere this month some of the TJPW wrestlers have lost their championships. Shoko Nakajima and K!SS// went on their travels and came back home missing their titles. Things fared better for the DDT wrestlers when it comes to gaining or keeping their gold. Now heading into March we have Miyu Yamashita embarking on another excursion, WrestleMania Week all of a sudden getting stuffed with TJPW appearances to look forward to and Daisuke Sasaki is off to North America for a while.

AEW “DYNAMITE”, 04/02/2026
Pearl Theater At Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

1. Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander & El Clon defeated Jon Moxley, PAC & Daniel Garcia (w/ Marina Shafir) when Takeshita pinned Garcia with the Raging Fire (13:18).

The current storyline Takeshita is in is a stable war going on between The Don Callis Family and the Death Riders that’s become the backbone of AEW’s mid-card on TV. He and Moxley had plenty of battles against each other this month in 6-Man Tags. Takeshita scored first blood when he teamed with Josh Alexander & El Clon (the evil doppelganger of Hologram) to beat Moxley, PAC & Daniel Garcia. Things could have gone the other way when Garcia put Takeshita in the Dragon Tamer (Sharpshooter) submission hold and Moxley then Curb Stomped him. But Alexander broke the pin and Takeshita got his wind back to slam Garcia. Tandem trios moves from The Family couldn’t keep Garcia down until Takeshita dropped him with the Raging Fire.

MLW “LUCHA APOCALYPTO”, 07/02/2026
Cicero Stadium, Cicero, Illinois, USA

1. MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title: Shotzi Blackheart defeated Shoko Nakajima (c) (?:??).
*Shoko Nakajima fails in V7. Shotzi Blackheart becomes the 6th MLW Women’s World Featherweight Champion!

By the time this is posted, all I know about this MLW taping is Shoko Nakajima lost the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title to Shotzi Blackheart. Since then there hasn’t been a word about when the match will air. MLW are really taking their time putting their next batch of episodes together.

AEW “DYNAMITE”, 11/02/2026
Toyota Arena, Ontario, California, USA

1. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & PAC (w/ Marina Shafir) defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander & Mark Davis when Moxley pinned Alexander with the Death Rider (15:05).

The next trios match had Claudio Castagnoli replacing Garcia and Mark Davis switching in for El Clon. This time Moxley was in danger of losing the match to the teamwork of The Family until PAC came to the rescue. Castagnoli cut off Takeshita with a European Uppercut, giving Moxley the opening to catch Alexander in a Read Naked Choke, wearing him down enough to give him the Death Rider for the victory.

AEW “GRAND SLAM AUSTRALIA”, 14/02/2026
Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

1. AEW Continental Title: Jon Moxley (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
*V1 for Jon Moxley.

When it was finally time for Moxley and Takeshita to settle their differences one on one in Australia, time wound up running out for them. With the AEW Continental Title on the line, rules were strictly in place to make sure no interference would be allowed. It ended up going to a stalemate. Moxley giving Takeshita a Curb Stomp onto the apron didn’t keep him out of the ring long enough to get counted out. Neither the Powerdrive Knee or the Wrist-Clutch Exploder Suplex was enough to pin Moxley for a three count. Takeshita kicked out of the Death Rider and the two continued throwing bombs at each other until the bell rang. Takeshita was seconds away from performing the Raging Fire so he went ahead and did it anyway after the match was over.

AEW “HOUSE RULES AUSTRALIA”, 15/02/2026
Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Boondall, Queensland, Australia

1. Konosuke Takeshita (w/ Don Callis) defeated Dalton Castle with the Powerdrive Knee (10:47).

Brisbane had extra action for Takeshita during his stay there. AEW ran a rare house show the next day and Takeshita was on it wrestling Dalton Castle for the first time ever. Before the match began Don Callis had Castle’s buddies The Outrunners sent away from ringside because they did not have a manager’s license recognized by the state of Australia. Callis got some cheap shots in on Castle at ringside while the crowds chanted bald jokes at him. Castle fought his way back to give Takeshita the Bangarang for a nearfall but a well timed Elbow Strike gave Takeshita the momentum needed to eventually win the match.

SETUP “REAL GLOBAL IMPACT”, 21/02/2026
The Circus Studio, G Village, Bangkok, Thailand

1. IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Titles: Monomoth & Matcha defeated Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami (c) when Matcha pinned Toribami with the Saito Suplex (12:41).
*K!SS// fails in V2. Monomoth & Matcha become the 6th IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Champions!
2. IWA Japan SETUP World Title: Shivam (c) Vs Chris Brookes ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
*V2 for Shivam.

There were two big title matches to follow over in Thailand for SETUP this month. Chris Brookes challenged Shivam for the IWA Japan SETUP World Title despite both men belonging to the same group, Real Global Threat. In a result that became something of a trend for a lot of title matches I’m writing about in this article, the match latest the full twenty minute time limit and went to a draw. Brookes demanded a restart and called Pumi Boonyatud into the ring to make it happen. But it was all a trap so Brookes could knock out Pumi with a slap! Shivam then got on the microphone to praise Brookes for caring about pro wrestlers like him before attacking Pumi some more until Monomoth ran them out of the ring.

Meanwhile Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami’s reign as IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Champions has come to an end. K!SS// went to Thailand for a big title defence against SETUP’s other two singles champions Monomoth & Matcha. Both teams fought their hardest over the titles until it came down to Toribami against Matcha in the ring. Yamashita dealt with Monomoth by Skull Kicking him off the ring apron but Toribami’s attempt at the Sento Choryu was blocked by Matcha’s knees. Matcha then fought to give Toribami the Saito Suplex, pinning her while a dazed Monomoth held onto Yamashita long enough to prevent her from breaking the count. K!SS// accepted defeat and shook hands with the new champions after the match.

AEW “COLLISION”, 21/02/2026
Frontwave Arena, Oceanside, California, USA

1. Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Davis & El Clon defeated Jon Moxley, PAC & Wheeler Yuta (w/ Marina Shafir) when Takeshita pinned Yuta with the Raging Fire (14:33).

Since nothing was solved in Australia, the feud between The Family and the Death Riders continued with more 6-Man Tag Matches. Wheeler Yuta was now brought into the fold wrestling in a beanie hat because he recently lost his hair in a wager match. Also Marina Shafir was now getting into the thick of things. She’s been at ringside for most of the matches in this feud and got physically involved this time to stop Davis from using a chair. Yuta was enthusiastic to try and get the win on Takeshita until he was hit with a Pump Kick followed by the Elbow Strike. El Clon wiped out the rest of the Death Riders, allowing Takeshita to pin Yuta with the Raging Fire. Moxley confronted him after the match and thanks to others trying to get in the way, he caught Takeshita off guard and gave him the Paradigm Shift.

PPW/BZW “FRIDAY NIGHT BANGER”, 27/02/2026
PPW Training Facility, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England

1. BZW Tag Team Titles: MAO & Yoshihiko (c) defeated Liam Slater & HMD (?:??).
*V7 for MAO & Yoshihiko.

It’s been so long since I last heard about the BZW Tag Team Titles that I wasn’t sure if MAO & Yoshihiko were still the champions. Turns out they are and they travelled all the way to England for their latest defence. MAO was over there to take part in training seminars and brought Yoshihiko over so they could wrestle on a show co-promoted by BZW and Pursuit Pro Wrestling. They defeated Liam Slater & HMD to retain the gold.

1. NJPW World TV Title: El Phantasmo (c) Vs KONOSUKE TAKESHITA (w/ Rocky Romero) ended in a Time Limit Draw (15:00).
1a. Overtime: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA defeated El Phantasmo (c) with the Raging Fire (2:43).
*El Phantasmo fails in V7. KONOSUKE TAKESHITA becomes the 10th NJPW World TV Champion!

Another title match and another time limit draw for Takeshita. Although this time he got a chance to make up for it. New Japan returned to America with a fresh attempt at running a big show in the country. Having El Phantasmo and Takeshita go at it with the NJPW World TV Title again was one of the big bouts of the show. They pretty much played the hits until ELP gave Takeshita a taste of his own medicine by using the Raging Fire on him! However the bell rang right afterwards to announce the match ended in a tie. ELP got on the microphone and talked about how much time limit draws suck and demanded the match to restart for another five minutes. Takeshita considered walking out with Rocky Romero next to him but turned around and got the match going again. This time Takeshita gave ELP the CR II, using the champion’s own finisher against him. ELP kicked out and snuck in a Crucifix Pin for a nearfall but Takeshita hit back and won the match with the Raging Fire. Now a champion in NJPW again, Takeshita thinks the company wants him to raise the value of the NJPW World TV Title.

1. International Tag Team Match: Amira & Lil Marz Vs Toga & Jazzy Yang

The big clue this month that TJPW was going to Vegas came from Toga unexpectedly got booked for the eighth annual “PODER~!” show that is put together by Edward Loredo, aka “Ed In San Antonio” of F4W Board infamy. Toga is going to team with Jazzy Yang, the daughter of Jimmy Wang Yang. Together they will take on Amira from America and Lil Marz from Australia for an international tag showcase.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW LIVE IN LAS VEGAS 2026”, 16/04/2026
Pearl Theater At Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Ta-da! It was happening all along! TJPW adds even more to their growing international schedule by going back to Las Vegas for Mania Weekend. This time instead of working with The Collective, they have joined a new collection of shows called Slam Fest that is being put together by the Paragon Talent Agency. The move keeps the show at Palms Casino and now has TJPW siding with Stardom, CMLL, House Of Glory and MLP for the week. I doubt we’re going to see any significant crossovers but you never know when it comes to events like this.

The Japanese talent coming to Vegas are Miu Watanabe, Yuki Kamifuku, Wakana Uehara, Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima, Mizuki, Hyper Misao, Raku, Yuki Aino, Suzume, Pom Harajuku, Yuki Arai, Kaya Toribami, Shino Suzuki, HIMAWARI, Toga and Uta Takami.

This is the show I’m personally most looking forward to at Mania Week. El Desperado is hosting another “Invitacional” show, continuing the death match theme of the previous one and also bringing it to America for the first time. The first couple of wrestlers announced are from Japan, the latest of whom being Daisuke Sasaki! There’s also been a hint from Mizuki Watase that he might be on the card too because he recently said he will be travelling to USA in April to wrestle in a death match.

GCW “JOSH BARNETT’S BLOODSPORT XV”, 17/04/2026
Horseshoe, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

2. Lucha Rules 4 Way Match: DOUKI, Eita and Daisuke Sasaki defeated Violento Jack when DOUKI, Eita and Sasaki all pinned Jack after the Super Power Bomb onto the Empty Can Board (11:36).
3. Jun Kasai & Hiromu Takahashi defeated Minoru Suzuki & Takayuki Ueki when Takahashi pinned Ueki with the Pearl Harbor Splash (19:53).
4. Hardcore 4 Way Match: Chris Brookes Vs MAO Vs El Phantasmo Vs Masashi Takeda ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
5. Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Hikaru Sato with the Orienteering with Napalm Death (10:55).
6. Gedo & Dick Togo defeated El “Exotico” Desperado & Danshoku Dieno when Gedo pinned Dieno with the Gedo Clutch (18:18).

I’m only going to write about the DDT and BASARA related matches but I wanted to include results for the entire card because just look at it! I’d say this is a show full of Fire Pro matches but that reference is a bit old hat nowadays. The influence here is more GCW Spring Break and PWG Mystery Vortex given how much of a modern day wrestling nerd El Desperado is. He has spent the last two months handing out invitations to wrestlers he would like to be in the ring with for a special mystery show he was producing in Korakuen Hall. He also narrated the introductions for each match, either explaining why he put them together or revealing another unexpected surprise he had in store for everyone.

There were hints as to who got invited to take part in the show. Videos were posted on the event’s Twitter page teasing fans with clips of unknown wrestlers being handed the invitations. But one in particular took place in public at a recent DDT show. Desperado straight up asked Danshoku Dieno to come along with a partner of his choice because Despy wanted to see Pheromones chase some Bullet Club wrestlers around the venue. Dieno couldn’t bring Pheromones back so he thought of a good replacement. If El Desperado wanted to experience Pheromones so bad then he will be Dieno’s tag partner! After all this match was the main event and Despy should be headlining his own show.

Desperado was given a spare Danshoku costume and as he went off to get changed the other team made their entrance. It was the two managers of the current New Japan heel factions: Gedo from Bullet Club War Dogs and Dick Togo from House Of Torture! Dieno then did his big Pheromones introduction for El “Exotico” Desperado! The match was as close to the Pheromones experience as they could get away with as both Desperado & Dieno stripped down to their O-backs by the end of it. However Gedo & Togo worked saved each other from taking the Danshoku Driver. Togo gave Dieno the Pedigree and Gedo pinned him with the Gedo Clutch.

There was more DDT involvement elsewhere on the show. Both Chris Brookes and MAO were put into a Hardcore 4 Way Match with El Phantasmo and Masashi Takeda also involved. Desperado admitted in the introduction that he expected one of them to turn down the match because it sounded too dangerous and was surprised no one did. Brookes and MAO smashed each other with plastic boxes. Takeda threatened everyone with his large pair of scissors and eventually got to cut open Brookes’s forehead with it. MAO, ELP and Takeda all ended up underneath the ring and Brookes flushed them out by spraying a fire extinguisher beneath the apron. ELP then took out a literal clothesline with clothes pegs included. He pinched them to Takeda’s ears and Brookes’s nipples. MAO then wrapped the other end of the line around his foot and Super Kicked ELP, pulling the pinched pegs off of the other two! The match lasted the full twenty minute time limit without a winner and had to end in a four way draw.

Afterwards Brookes remained in the ring and got on the microphone. First, he said he would have won if the match lasted longer and complained that a 20 minute time limit is too short. He then told Desperado to get into the ring because he wanted to tell him something. They have known each other for a while but have never been in the ring at the same time until now. Brookes is tired of waiting so he is challenging Desperado to a match at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2024” in Sumo Hall on 21st July! Despy agreed and shook Brookes’s hand. He then tried to pin him with a School Boy in an attempt to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title but Brookes kicked out and escaped.

Daisuke Sasaki got to be part of the show in the other 4 Way Match of the night. Despy wanted it to be a match filled with wrestlers who have lucha libre skills so Sasaki was in there with DOUKI, Eita and most unexpected of all Violento Jack! Lucha moves were used but Jack also brought out a board with sharp halves of plastic cans attached to them. None of the other three wanted to get slammed onto it so they all teamed up together and Super Power Bombed Jack onto it instead. They then piled on top of Jack to pin him for the three count. The referee determined all three pinned Jack at the same time so DOUKI, Eita and Sasaki were each declared winners.

There was even a pre-show match because Despy wanted to see Toru Yano wrestle in Match #0 of the card. He was accompanied by Hiroshi Tanahashi and both were dressed in yankii uniforms. Yano gave out a hint for who their other partner was going to be. He asked what was the name of the heroine played by Miho Nakayama in the movie Be-Bop High School? Tanahashi’s answer was Kyoko. Their partner is Kyoko Inoue and she entered the ring wearing a schoolgirl uniform! Their opponents were also a bunch of Yankees in the forms of Yuko Miyamoto, Isami Kodaka & DASH Chisako! Unfortunately for BASARA fans Kodaka took the fall when he was pinned with Tanahashi’s High Fly Flow. After the match Tanahashi & Yano both gave Inoue a kiss on the cheek at the same time.

1. Special Single Match: Yoshitatsu defeated Super Sasadango Machine with the Yoshitatsu Fantasy (8:00).
2. AJPW TV 6-Man Tag Team Titles & KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani (c/c) defeated ATM, DASH Chisako & Black Menso~re when Sakaguchi pinned Menso~re with the God’s Right Knee (11:56).
*V1 for Eruption with the AJPW TV 6-Man Tag Team Titles. V2 for Eruption with the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

This week there was more DDT participation in All Japan for the company’s latest tour. In Niigata Eruption stepped foot in AJPW again to defend their double crown trios championships. With both the AJPW TV 6-Man Tag Team Titles and KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles on the line Eruption successfully retained all of their belts against ATM, DASH Chisako & Black Menso~re. With no challengers left in AJPW for the time being that allows Eruption to defend the titles back in DDT tomorrow. Yukio Sakaguchi said the successful defence means the AJPW championship now completely belongs to them. Saki Akai agrees and thinks the AJPW belts are now like part of their costumes. Hideki Okatani calls out for any more challengers to step forward. That’s if there are any left.

Also on the show was Super Sasadango Machine, getting to wrestle in the AJPW ring at his hometown. He took on Yoshitatsu with the goal of winning in order to become a regular addition to AJPW shows. Unfortunately he lost and the result supposedly destroyed any hope he had of joining that roster.

1. Evolution Vs DDT: Jun Akiyama, Sanshiro Takagi & Yusuke Okada defeated Suwama, Hikaru Sato & Dan Tamura by Referee Stoppage when Akiyama used the Front Neck Lock on Tamura (6:57).

Earlier today at All Japan’s big show in Yoyogi there was some DDT involvement on the undercard to continue the growing rivalry between the companies. Jun Akiyama, Sanshiro Takagi & Yusuke Okada defeated the Evolution stable of Suwama, Hikaru Sato & Dan Tamura when Akiyama used the Front Neck Lock to choke out Tamura. Akiyama and Suwama got into each other’s faces after the match causing Yukio Naya to step in and start a fight with Suwama! The two had to be pulled apart.

There were also two Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes on the show. Naoki Tanizaki rolled up Naruki Doi right after they teamed together to become the new champion. A few other wrestlers tried to roll up Tanizaki until Doi succeeded and regained the title.

Eruption Wins AJPW Trios Titles, Scramble Bunkhouse Explosion Death Match, Endo’s Return From Injury, Hiromu Coming To DDT

August 30, 2023

Over the weekend Eruption went to an All Japan show at Nagoya to take part in a double championship match. They put the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles on the line against ATM, Takao Omori & Black Menso-re, the defending AJPW TV 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Eruption won the match to successfully defend their own belts while also becoming the new AJPW 6-Man Tag Champions! Yukio Sakaguchi said the goal was to just defend their own championship. Winning the AJPW titles is just a bonus to him. The result made Saki Akai the first woman in history to win an AJPW championship!

ATM & Black Menso-re challenged Eruption to rematch for both sets of titles on 3rd September. They also said DASH Chisako is going to be the third member of their team. Akai & Hideki Okatani approved of the idea because they both want to wrestle Chisako again. Eruption accepted the challenge and also plan to have their next defence after that take place back in DDT on 9th September.

Eruption will be missing the show because they are now booked for an All Japan event in Nagaoka on the same day. Eruption will be defending the AJPW TV 6-Man Tag Titles along with the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles on that show.

The rules have been decided for the main event. It will be a Scramble Bunkhouse Explosion Death Match with wrestlers joining in one after the other. The match will begin with Atsushi Onita against Jun Akiyama with all of the explosive weaponry available for them to use on each other. Akiyama suggested the two of them start and Onita agreed when the weapons were allowed. Then after three minutes the other four wrestlers will enter the match to gradually turn it into a 6-Man Tag Team brawl.

DDT are expecting MAO to be recovered in time to take part in this show.

Some of the lower matches have been changed around to deal with the additional injuries that have taken place over the last week.

Doing it within the Japanese scene as well is something they haven’t been doing for years until just recently.

1. Super Hardcore Girls Vs Prominence ~ Falls Count Anywhere Match: SenoSister Mao Inoue defeated Mochi Natsumi with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch (12:07).
2. DDT Offer? Match: Yuki Ueno & Konosuke Takeshita (Sakura Hirota) defeated Akito & Kazuki Hirata when Takeshita (Hirota) pinned Hirata with the German Suplex (14:06).
3. Special TLC Match: DASH Chisako Vs Hideki Okatani ended in a Time Limit Draw (15:00).
4. Super Hardcore Girls Vs Prominence ~ Bring In 1 Item Hardcore Match: Risa Sera & Akane Fujita defeated Elizabeth❤️Toy & Sylvania❤️Catherine when Sera pinned Toy with the Diving Double Knee Drop onto Chairs (17:18).
5. Super Hardcore Girls Vs Prominence ~ Special Hardcore Match: Suzu Suzuki defeated Carousel❤️Shun with the German Suplex (20:18).

The feud between Shunma Katsumata and Suzu Suzuki continues going in unusual directions. Suzuki wanted to get revenge on Katsumata for beating her in the King Of Street Wrestling tournament earlier this year. Katsumata however did not want to deal with her again so he brought his “relative” Carousel❤️Shun to take his place. As the story goes, Carousel❤️Shun is a joshi wrestler who travelled to America three years ago to form the Super Hardcore Girls promotion. The global pandemic kept her from returning to Japan until recently but she jumped at the opportunity to lead SHG against Prominence in a war between two deathmatch joshi groups! The two sides agreed to a crossover show where Suzuki could settle the score with the Katsumata family.

The main event involved tables being broken, jumping off ladders, a lot of toy blocks spread across the ring and plenty more. Shun and Suzuki both use a stapler on each other’s arms until Suzuki found something to pierce Shun’s ear with. Shun should have won the match when she had Suzuki pinned with the Totonoe Splash but other members of Prominence pulled the referee out of the ring to stop the count. That led to a big brawl between the SHG and Prominence wrestlers around ringside. Suzuki recovered and Power Bombed Shun from a ladder through a board with forks sticking out of it. That wasn’t enough and Suzuki then landed the German Suplex onto the toy blocks to get the win. After the match Suzuki demanded that Shun go and get Shunma Katsumata so the actual rematch can happen. Suzuki warned that Katsumata won’t get away with it if he does not show up again. Shun said she was thankful to bring SHG to Japan and will continue to chase after Prominence while leaving the rest to Katsumata.

Prominence can confidently declare victory over SHG with a 2-1 result from today’s show. The other win came from Risa Sera & Akane Fujita defeating the relatives of Toi Kojima & Takahiro Katori in a match where everyone was allowed to bring one weapon each. Elizabeth❤️Toy brought out an ear piercing device but Fujita took it off her and used it against her. Sylvania❤️Catherine brought out a stuff toy wrapped in barb wire but Toy got hit with it by accident. Sera then whacked Toy over the head with a bamboo stick, placed chairs on top of her and hit a Diving Double Knee Drop from the top rope for the finish. Unlike Suzuki, Sera enjoyed today’s show and said she would like to do fight against SHG again.

There was a different crossover match away from the feuding promotions. Hideki Okatani likes to dip his toe into Hardcore wrestling every now and then so he was put into a TLC Match against DASH Chisako from Sendai Girl’s! Okatani took some big bumps throughout the match including a Power Bomb over the top rope onto a bridging ladder outside the ring! Chisako made a big mistake though when she missed a Diving Double Stomp from the ladder onto some chairs. Okatani quickly turned the tables and hit a Diving Elbow onto chairs from the same ladder. The two kept on fighting until the very end when time ran out and the match was ruled a 15 minute draw.

There was a sudden change of plans in the match DDT put together. Yuki Ueno was meant to team with Sakura Hirota but when it was time for her entrance, Konosuke Takeshita’s music played instead and out came “Konosuke Takeshita”! Now “Takeshita” looked a little shorter than usual but once the shirt was off and the physique was on show, there was no doubt over who it was. There was one uncharacteristic moments when “Takeshita” struck Akito from behind with a kancho attack. Kazuki Hirata dodged the same move but was eventually caught in the German Suplex with “Takeshita” getting some assistance with the bridge from Ueno. Afterwards backstage “Takeshita” talked about getting a last minute flight from America to get here today after wrestling in AEW last night. Makes perfect sense.

SHG’s only win on the show came from SenoSister Mao Inoue beating Mochi Natsumi in a Falls Count Anywhere match. They fought outside to the parking lot then on the way back to the ring, Inoue’s costume was suddenly replaced with wrestling gear similar looking to what Natsumi was wearing. Inoue ended up pinning Natsumi with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch on the entrance ramp.

*Sendai Girls fail in V2. ALL OUT becomes the 39th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!

This has been gearing up for a long time. ALL OUT and the Sendai Girls have battled over the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles twice in the last 12 months. The first time in July 2018 ALL OUT successfully defended the belts then in March of this year Senjo beat them in the rematch to take the championships. Today a final full fledged clash was held. There was five matches between the two sides with the last being for the trios gold. Konosuke Takeshita and Meiko Satomura spoke on behalf of their units at the beginning of the show. Takeshita promised amazing matches and also said he would pin Satomura in their match. Satomura told him to be prepared because her team will show the strength of the Sendai Girls in every match. She also thanked Sakura Hirota for coming in as Mika Iwata’s replacement on short notice.

Hirota was so dedicated to taking up Iwata’s role that she wore handmade Iwata ring gear, covered her face in white makeup, used Iwata’s entrance music, copied her movements and would only answer to her name. She told Akito that she had some trick up her sleeve. It involved removing a turnbuckle pad, getting the DDT trainee Keigo Nakamura involved in the match and attacking Akito’s backside with Kancho butt pokes. What she didn’t expect was for Akito’s rear end to become resistant to the Kancho and also be strong enough to flip her off her feet. Akito did a Kancho of his own then put Hirota in the Figure 4 Leg Lock for the victory. Both Akito and Hirota shook hands while holding onto their butts after the match.

Chairs was placed in the ring before the Hardcore Match between Shunma Katsumata and DASH Chisako began. Chisako quickly armed herself with a bamboo sword to take the early advantage. Katsumata placed a trash can over Chisako and struck her with the cane. He then brought out a box of Lego and spilled it inside the ring. That backfired when he missed a Moonsault and landed on the blocks. Chisako Sunset Power Bombed Katsumata from the top of a ladder, broke a chair over his head and hit the Hormone Splash from the Ladder to get Senjo their first win of the show.

Yuki Iino and Chihiro Hashimoto reignited their power versus power confrontation from the March 6-Man Title bout with a singles match today. When the bell rang they immediately charged each other for Shoulder Blocks. Iino got the upper hand early and went for the Haka Elbow but Hashimoto reversed the moment and did a taunting Elbow Drop of her own. She nearly put Iino away with a Spear followed by a Rolling Senton. Iino turned the tables by avoiding the Albright and hitting a Backflip followed by the Haka Elbow for a nearfall. Hashimoto recovered and got Iino in the Albright Suplex, getting the three count and two wins in a row for Senjo.

The last match to take place before the championship main event was between the two team leaders. Takeshita and Satomura went hell for leather on each other. Satomura put Takeshita through a table with a Death Valley Bomb from the ring apron to the outside. She brought him back in the ring to hit the move more times but that gave Takeshita a moment to give Satomura the Blue Thunder Bomb. With only a twenty minute time limit given, the final seconds saw Takeshita do a German Suplex only for Satomura to absorb the blow and hit the Scorpio Rising before the bell rang. Both of them were spent but still had one match left to take part in.

ALL OUT waited until just before the title match began to announce which three of them would be challenging for the 6-Man Tag Titles. It was Takeshita, Katsumata & Iino. While there was a variety of different pairings throughout, the finish involved the same three matchups presented earlier in the show. Katsumata took out Chisaki with the ¡Hasta la vista!, Iino got rid of Hashimoto with the Spear and Takeshita pinned Satomura with the German Suplex to crown new 6-Man Tag Team Champions!

The Sendai Girls were about to leave defeated when Takeshita called out to them on the microphone. He said they just had an unprecedented series of matches between men and women that ended with both sides getting two wins, two losses and a draw. He asked if they will continue this challenge someday. Satomura thanked DDT and ALL OUT for accepting today’s showdown since the Senjo fans were also looking forward to it. The show ended with Takeshita thanking everyone for supporting DDT and Sendai Girls.

The feud between ALL OUT and the Sendai Girls is getting its own event! In order to settle this rivalry completely, they agreed to four separate singles matches followed by a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles defence as the headliner. The ALL OUT team has not been determined yet so could they have a surprise in store for the champions? What if Space Monkey comes in as a swerve?!?

Meiko Satomura has promised that the Sendai Girls will be fighting with all of their strength until they and their opponents will burn out. Konosuke Takeshita likes that because ALL OUT’s theme is that they use their full power in the ring. Yuki Iino is still embarrassed that he was pinned by Chihiro Hashimoto’s German Suplex to lose the trios titles. Katsumata’s match with DASH Chisako is under regular rules but he hopes it can be fought like a Hardcore bout. Akito said he doesn’t know much about Mika Iwata other than she does kicks. He’s used to wrestling against kickers in DDT so he thinks she doesn’t have much of a chance against him.
