0. NO TV Match II: Akito defeated Antonio Honda with the Scorpion Lock (8:39).

4. Jun Kasai & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Kasai pinned Shimatani with the Pearl Harbour Splash (11:44).
5. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi when Takao pinned Takanashi with a School Boy (15:22).
*DAMNATION becomes the 35th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
6. Meiko Satomura, Mike Bailey & MAO defeated Shigehiro Irie, Ryan Davidson & Mizuki Watase when Satomura pinned Watase with the Death Valley Bomb (14:13).

Tempers are flaring between Meiko Satomura, Shigehiro Irie and Danshoku Dieno over their Survival 3 Way Match later this month. Dieno spent the entire show as part of the commentary team so he was in Irie’s direct line of sight when Irie came out for the main event. During an out of the ring brawl, Irie crashed into the commentary team with a Cannonball, wiping Dieno out. Back in the ring Satomura got the victory for her team by hitting Mizuki Watase with the Scorpio Rising followed by the Death Valley Bomb. When the match was over Dieno and Irie got into a fight until Satomura yelled at them to bring the fight into the ring. Satomura said she will beat the both of them at Korakuen Hall, no excuses. Dieno can complain about his shoulder injury all he wants. Satomura’s entire body is in pain after her matches but she never lets that hold her back.

An exciting trios match to determine the new KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions was spoiled when Soma Takao blinded Masahiro Takanashi with red mist. A School Boy won the match and the belts for DAMNATION. Afterwards Daisuke Sasaki asked the new champions who they wanted their first defence to be against. Tetsuya Endo told him he wants to put in as weak an effort as possible. Sasaki declared that the challengers will be himself and Nobuhiro Shimatani. We never heard who the third wrestler was because DISASTER BOX interrupted him. HARASHIMA wants his unit to be the challengers. Hisaya Imabayashi didn’t have the power to choose so he left it up to the new DDT Producer Tetsuya Koda to decide. Koda asked DISASTER BOX to figure out which three of them would make up the team. A game of Rock, Paper, Scissors determined that the trio would be Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Yuki Ueno. Koda accepted the trio and announce they will get their title match at Sumo Hall! Imabayashi wondered if it was too early to book the match this far in advance but Koda disagreed. The show is in a month and a half’s time so the card needs to be filling up right now!

Jun Kasai’s beginning of his new stay in DDT began with him renewing his grudge with Daisuke Sasaki. As they were fighting, two revealed they blocked each other on Twitter. Kasai demanded Sasaki to unblock and follow him. Shimatani stole Kasai’s goggles and attempted to give him the Pearl Harbour Splash but Kasai rolled out of the way. Kasai got his goggles back and hit his finisher on Shimatani to win. After the match Kasai almost disqualified himself from the Dramatic General Election because he talked about it inside the ring. It is against the rules to do that. Kasai again demanded Sasaki to unblock him on Twitter and follow his account.

It took a lot of struggle but Kazuki Hirata has been accepted into DISASTER BOX! Hirata wrestled seriously to try and impress the other members but the urge to grab a pair of Hirata GO! glasses could not be ignored. He never got to wear them because Owashi attacked him first. Instead HARASHIMA forced the glasses onto Owashi’s face when he tried to Power Bomb Hirata. That backfired because Owashi’s dancing was too powerful to fight against and he pinned Hirata with La Magistral Cradle. HARASHIMA tried to tell Owashi afterwards that what he did was an accident. Owashi asked Hirata if he will continue to use the glasses in his matches. Hirata honestly admitted he would. To the surprise of everyone, Owashi approved! He explained that these glasses represent the four years Hirata spent with T2Hide and that should never be forgotten. Hirata is in the unit! HARASHIMA started getting ideas of turning DISASTER BOX into more than just a wrestling unit. With Hirata involved they can now be a dancing and theatre group too!

Saki Akai wore new white ring gear for her match with Maki Itoh. Akai also used a familiar looking Gogoplata Foot Choke to win the match. Itoh made the same mistake as Kasai and mentioned the Dramatic Election during her post-match promo inside the ring. She had to have her mouth covered by the referee to stop talking.

Booing 2018 promised a big name for their mystery third member and it turned out to be Sanshiro Takagi! The big name is the Big President! Takagi turned on Gota Ihashi when they were on the verge of beating Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Michael Nakazawa. Takagi broke Ihashi’s pinfall and dropped Nakazawa on top of him with the Spicolli Driver. Takagi explained that every year Booing finishes last in the Dramatic Election and has to disband. This year Takagi is joining Booing 2018 to lift them up from the bottom and make some other unit split up for a change. Nakazawa then went to speak but Takagi kicked him down.

No Gongitsune from Antonio Honda this week. Instead he went all Hiroyoshi Tenzan on Akito by giving him the Tenzan Tombstone Driver and the Anaconda Vice. Akito escaped the submission and made Honda tap to the Scorpion Lock. Tenzan had a hold on one of Honda’s arms for leverage during the move.

Two members of The Compliance faced each other in the first dark match of the evening. It was a low pressure environment but Dieno warned Keisuke Ishii not to take it easy against Makoto Oishi because The Compliance does not accept low effort in their team. Dieno wanted Ishii to treat this match like a game of Fire Pro Wrestling. He also said that Oishi is really good at using the Stunner. Ishii didn’t believe him. During the match Oishi hit the Stunner and also the Miracle Ecstasy but Ishii kicked out. Ishii fought back and hit the High Angle Double Arm DDT to win. Dieno described the finish as Oishi getting Critical’d.

At the beginning of the show Takagi had news to give regarding the DDT Producer spot that Dieno resigned from last month. The Producer will be replaced by a new General Manager. The new GM is an extraordinary man who is witty, expressive and is well familiar with pro wrestling. It’s Tetsuya Koda, the representative of Tokyo Joshi Pro! Hisaya Imabayashi thought he would get the job instead and protested the decision. Takagi told Imabayashi he is still the Assistant Producer. Also Koda beat him in a wrestling match last month and that makes him more qualified.

An announcement was made about the return of the D-Ou Grand Prix tournament. The 2019 edition will in fact be held at the end of 2018 because the winner will get a KO-D Openweight Title shot in the main event of “JUDGEMENT 2019” in February. The round robin will begin on 30th November and the final will be held on 30th December.

1. Falls Count Anywhere 6 Way Tag Match: Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei defeated Mike Bailey & MAO, HARASHIMA & Yuki Ueno, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie, Sanshiro Takagi & Michael Nakazawa and Isami Kodaka & Fuminori Abe when Shu pinned Bailey with the Zombie King on top of a car (87:03).

With summer coming to an end, DDT found the time to go camping at Yamanashi Natureland Om, the home of their Campsite Pro Wrestling matches. This time six teams of two would face off an cause havoc out in the woods. The action was followed by Hisaya Imabayashi, Haruo Murata and Konosuke Takeshita on commentary as they tried to catch up with all of the chaos.

Sanshiro Takagi & Michael Nakazawa arrived wearing Gundam costumes. Isami Kodaka & Fuminori Abe drove into the starting area on a scooter. The Brahman Brothers were the first to create trouble when they threw buckets of water and dirt at everyone.

The match began at the plaza and quickly found its way along the river. HARASHIMA and Kodaka fought their way towards a small waterfall and they were almost pushed off the edge. They avoided it and instead HARASHIMA suplexed Kodaka down a hill.

The Brahmans found a nearby restroom and pushed Nakazawa’s head into a toilet. They then brought Takagi towards an electric fence. Takagi was pushed into the fence and “explosions” were set off from the currents flowing through Takagi’s body.

Down at the bottom of the hill everybody found an unexpected figure. It was Yumehito Imanari acting like he was in the movie Commando. HARASHIMA disarmed Imanari and the wrestlers all forced him to flee the scene.

The match found its way to a hut where MAO and Yuki Ueno climbed up to the roof so they could attack everybody with water guns. The Brahmans got the upper hand and lined up along chain of wrestlers for their bowling ball spot. The word “Strike!” echoed throughout the area after they threw the ball. They then tried to shove a wooden stake up Nakazawa’s backside.

Kodaka & Abe returned to the plaza on their scooter and drove into Nakazawa. The Brahmans found a tent and set it on fire. It turned out the tent was being used by Ryan Davidson and he was pissed! Davidson went on a rampage attacking everybody. Mike Bailey & MAO stopped him and took him out with a Double Standing Moonsault on the remains of the tent.

Takagi found a can of mousse so he sprayed a lump of it onto his hands and set it on fire. He went to slap his target but missed and hit Nakazawa by accident.

The Brahmans were being so mean to people that they made a kid cry. HARASHIMA helped the kid kick them in the head for payback.

The match went on the move again and found its way to one of the highest points of the campsite. There they found the Sumo God Kazusada Higuchi accompanied by Nobuhiro Shimatani. Higuchi challenged everyone to beat him in a game of sumo and he defeated them all.

A frightful discovery was made nearby. The dead body of Makoto Oishi was found with his head next to a rock covered in his blood. Curiously, there was a blood stain next to his hand that looked like the letter M. Everyone assumed it was Michael Nakazawa until they saw both MAO and Yuki Ueno were covered in blood. HARASHIMA attacked them because they wouldn’t apologise for accidentally killing Oishi. Bailey & MAO both moonsaulted off of a shed while Abe prayed for Oishi.

The action went back to the plaza where everyone saw Ryan Davidson unconscious on the ground. They all thought he died too but he woke up and was again pissed off. This time Davidson picked up a log and placed it over his shoulders. He spun around hitting anyone who approached him. Higuchi reappeared and challenged Davidson to some sumo wrestling.

There was a chain of Headscissors…

Mad Paulie then turned it into one long Crab Hold.

Commando Imanari returned and took several people hostage in a nearby hut. Nakazawa, Shimatani and a Samurai! TV cameraman were all being held by him. Takagi rallied the other wrestlers to hold the hut under siege by shooting fireworks into it! The Brahmans joined in by throwing eggs at the hut. Nakazawa was freed but when he left the hut he suffered an Anal Explosion from a firecracker that was placed inside his tights!

A pile of wood was collected and made into a campfire. Takagi emerged riding the Dramatic Dream Cycle but crashed into the fire when everyone dodged him.

Everyone fought into a nearby pond and one by one the wrestlers did their trademark moves into the water. Tetsuya Endo was the last to jump with a Tornillo onto everybody.

The feud between Takagi and MAO then took to a new level never seen before in DDT. Takagi found a car and tried to run over MAO. In return MAO found another car and the two drove around trying to hit each other! MAO’s car stalled and that allowed Takagi to drive into him from the side! Takagi pulled MAO out of the car and gave him a Spiccoli Driver onto the bonnet. Endo placed Ueno on the hood of one of the cars and Paulie flattened Ueno with a Splash onto the hood.

Kodaka & Abe found pick axes and decided to relive the bonus stage of Street Fighter II. Everyone liked the idea and joined in trying to destroy the cars with their wrestling moves!

The Brahmans remembered there was a wrestling match going on so they attacked Bailey with a stop sign and threw a bucket of ink at him. Brahman Shu then gave Bailey the Zombie King onto the roof of the car and pinned him for the three count.

When the dust was settled Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei had a realisation. They are a tag team. Bailey & MAO are the KO-D Tag Team Champions. They should have do title match! MAO agreed then collapsed from exhaustion. Imabayashi announced the match will take place on the 23rd September Korakuen Hall show. Sanshiro Takagi then demanded a match with MAO. For months they have tried to kill each other by crazier and crazier methods. This grudge needs to be settled at Sumo Hall on 21st October in a Weapon Rumble! MAO accepted the match because the Weapon Rumble is the reason he became a pro wrestler in the first place. It must be fate that their final battle will be in that match. Takagi told him he would be bringing his car to Sumo Hall. Everybody then celebrated the end of today’s match by continuing to destroy the two cars.

6. RENEGADES Vs DAMNATION!: Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie defeated Shigehiro Irie, Mizuki Watase & Jason Kincaid when Sasaki submitted Kincaid with the Cross Facelock (15:35).
7. King Of DDT 2018 Best 8 Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Kazuki Hirata defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Keisuke Ishii when Hirata pinned Sakaguchi with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (17:23).

The finish to the main event had Yukio Sakaguchi missing the God’s Right Knee on Kazuki Hirata. HARASHIMA hit Sakaguchi into the turnbuckles with the Somato then Hirata got the win with the Miracle One Shot Cradle. HARASHIMA was full of praise for Hirata’s accomplishment today. HARASHIMA added that he gave him an assist but still, pinning Sakaguchi is the kind of momentum Hirata needs for the King Of DDT finale next weekend. Hirata ended the show with his “TOKYO GO!” dance because it is rare for him to win a main event match in Osaka. Sakaguchi was so surprised by the result he thought he was dreaming.

KUDO and Makoto Oishi had their annual singles match together with KUDO coming out as the victor. KUDO called the match fun but Oishi is annoyed that he only has one win in the series so far. He doesn’t know when or where their match in 2019 will take place but he will train like mad to prepare for it. KUDO raised a toast to celebrate Oishi’s upcoming marriage.

Antonio Honda complained about being in a 2 Vs 3 Handicap Match. He was told that Yuni was allowed to take part because his school is currently on its summer vacation. Honda said that children are the treasure of Japan but he and Masahiro Takanashi were still going to have a numbers disadvantage. Honda had an idea to even the numbers. He wanted Hisaya Imabayashi to join his team! Imabayashi tried to decline but he was stripped of his suit, revealing he was wearing wrestling trunks underneath. Imabayashi was convinced to take part and the match became 3 Vs 3. He took Yuni lightly until Yuni tripped him with a kick and put him in an Armbar. Imabayashi somehow had better luck fighting against Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi but was pinned by a School Boy from Yuni.

Keisuke Okuda interrupted the announcement of the next Osaka show to demand entry into this year’s Dramatic General Election! With DNA now gone, Okuda wants to move on and leave his mark in DDT. Earlier in the show Okuda defeated Yuki Ueno by High Kicking him to death.

6. KO-D Openweight Title: Danshoku Dieno defeated Shigehiro Irie (c) with the Gaydo Clutch (1:37).
*Super Sasadango Machine gives his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract to Danshoku Dieno. Shigehiro Irie fails in V1. Danshoku Dieno cashes in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet. Danshoku Dieno becomes the 65th KO-D Openweight Champion!

Today’s episode sparked plenty of changes in the DDT landscape. There was the planned roster switch-up freshening up some of the units but some added surprises completely changed the course of as we head towards the King Of DDT finale. Things seemed normal during the main event. Shigehiro Irie made his first appearance in DDT since his latest US tour and after the title loss incident in Ohio he had the KO-D Openweight Title with him safe and sound. He and Jason Kincaid were victorious over Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie but it was a close call. Irie kicked out of a Double Choke Slam and the Reverse Splash. It was only when he hit a desperate Beast Bomber to Paulie that he was able to win the match. Ishikawa said he got to have a strong match after spending time away from DDT. He told everyone when he is the Triple Crown Champion he would like to face Irie again.

When DAMNATION left the ring, Meiko Satomura came out with her eyes set on Irie. With the yellow Right To Challenge Gauntlet in her possession, Satomura challenged Irie to a title match on the 28th August episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI”! An exhausted Irie got up and accepted the challenge. But when they were about to shake hands, Danshoku Dieno interrupted them with important news. Producer Dieno will not accept Irie Vs Satomura as the next KO-D Title match because the next title match will happen right now! Dieno then suddenly pulled out the blue Gauntlet belonging to Super Sasadango Machine. A video played on the screen of Sasadango announcing that he is giving his Gauntlet to Dieno as a gift. It now belongs to Dieno and he is cashing it in straight away!

The match began and Dieno immediately gave Irie the Danshoku Driver several times. Irie kicked out of them and fought back. He hit the Beast Bomber but when Irie went for the pin, Dieno caught him in the Gaydo Clutch and pinned him! Danshoku Dieno is the new KO-D Champion! A furious Irie had to be held back by the rest of RENEGADES until they finally got him to leave the ring. He still tossed a chair from the front row at Dieno as he was leaving. Dieno taunted Irie by telling him what he did today was all in the rules. Dieno waited so long and played the good boss all this time so he could pull this off. This plan was why Dieno did not enter King Of DDT this year. He may be the weakest champion of any wrestling company right now but that doesn’t matter. He is going straight to the main event of “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2018” as the champion! Just one problem. Meiko Satomura is still here with the last Right To Challenge Gauntlet (more about that below) and her intention to challenge the champion on 28th August still stands. She told Dieno she will win the KO-D Title, defend it against Irie and then defend it at the main event of Sumo Hall!

The DNA Draft and resulting roster reshuffle took place at the start of the episode. It was already decided that Daiki Shimomura would join BASARA and Kouki Iwasaki would join Ganbare☆Wrestling. Rekka also announced he will be leaving Japan for a while so he will not be transferring to another brand. The remaining DNA wrestlers were given the chance to nominate the group or unit they wished to join and it would be up to those groups to accept them or not. Some of the obvious moves were made first. Mizuki Watase chose RENEGADES (side note: Ryan Davidson has also joined the unit) and Shunma Katsumata picked ALL OUT. No surprises there. MAO wants to continue teaming with Mike Bailey so he picked the default DDT Sekigun group. Yuki Ueno also picked DDT. Naomi Yoshimura didn’t pick anybody. Instead he will go wherever he wants, whenever he wants. Konosuke Takeshita of all people asked him to join ALL OUT instead. Yoshimura declined because he has no motivation to fight with them. He’d rather fight against them. Yuki Iino asked if he could join ALL OUT. Akito wasn’t convinced so he would use their match later as an audition. Kota Umeda chose to stick with DDT. He will be on the same side as his old unit Shuten-dōji and he wants to set a fire under his former older brothers. Nobuhiro Shimatani declared himself the leader of DAMNATION but Daisuke Sasaki said the unit doesn’t need him. Shimatani then nominated Tokyo Joshi Pro but their producer Tetsuya Koda outright refused him. Shimatani went back to DAMNATION and promised to find a beautiful blonde woman for Sasaki, cook delicious meat for Mad Paulie, handcraft a new ring costume for Soma Takao, give Tetsuya Endo a better haircut than the one he currently has and teach new songs to Shuji Ishikawa. Sasaki finally gave in and inducted Shimatani into DAMNATION, but only as a temporary manager. Good enough!

In the middle of the draft, T2Hide announced they are splitting up. Kazuki Hirata is doing well without them although he protested the decision. HARASHIMA approached Toru Owashi and asked him to reform Disaster BOX, their old unit from the 2000s. Owashi liked the idea but they needed a third member to make them a unit. They nominated Yuki Ueno. He has no idea what Disaster BOX is or how important they are in DDT’s history but ok, he’ll join them instead of the default DDT side.

Now all of that craziness has been touched upon, let’s get into the rest of the show. The eight remaining King Of DDT participants met in an 4-Way Tag Match. Some of the pairings were unusual and led to a mix up. MAO & Mike Bailey were on two different teams but in the heat of the action they worked together to wipe out a few of the other wrestlers with a Double Moonsault to the outside. Kazuki Hirata tried to continue his miracle run by going straight at Tetsuya Endo with Cradles but in the end he was pinned by Endo with a Swan Dive 450 Splash. Despite winning the match, Endo says he does not feel any momentum from today’s result. That stuff means nothing when you’re only in the Quarter Finals.

Judging from his earlier performance on the episode you wouldn’t have thought Dieno would end up as champion by the end of it. He got into his usual shenanigans with Antonio Honda against KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi. Honda’s double Gongistune backfired when KUDO & Takanashi grabbed both of his hands and made Honda poke himself in both eyes. They then finised him off with the Takatonic followed by the Diving Double Knee Drop.

It turns out the Right To Challenge Gauntlet rules do apply overseas. Meiko Satomura apologised to the fans for losing the red Gauntlet during her recent visit to America for the Mae Young Classic. I’d go into more detail about the possible consequences for that but it veers into spoiler territory and I’m not in the mood to get into arguments about that right now. To make up for it Satomura made it her goal today to win another Gauntlet so she can challenge for the KO-D Title. Good thing she was in a match against the holder of the yellow Gauntlet Makoto Oishi. Satomura pinned Oishi with the Scorpio Rising and now holds the last remaining Right To Challenge Gauntlet in Japan. Before this match Sanshiro Takagi said if his team won then he would set up the Meiko Young Classic, a tournament for all women wrestlers over the age of 40. Meiko Satomura is 38.

Iino impressed ALL OUT enough in his match to be accepted into their unit. He hit Akito with the Spear but Akito grabbed onto Iino’s leg and pulled him down into a Leg Lock to make him submit.

There was an extra special guest appearing on the show this week. Rintaro Oyaizu from Season 2 of The Bachelor Japan greeted everyone and very quickly attracted attention from several wrestlers. Cherry, Yuna Manase, Yuki Kamifuku and Maki Itoh all entered the ring wanting to woo Oyaizu. They all agreed to fight each other in a 4 Way Match on 28th August with the winner getting a date with The Bachelor.

6. Shuten-dōji Vs DAMNATION!: KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo when Sakaguchi pinned Sasaki with the God’s Right Knee (16:05).

This episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” was focused on highlighting the upcoming Quarter Finals of the King Of DDT tournament. In the main event, Yukio Sakaguchi put down his fellow Quarter Finalists Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo in a tag match. Sakaguchi’s partner KUDO celebrated because it was the first and he thinks maybe last time he won a main event match on Maji Manji.

Danshoku Dieno noticed something about Kazuki Hirata’s miracle run in King Of DDT. Hirata never used his Hirata GO! glasses during the matches he wins. Hirata explained that he enjoys the style of wrestling in the tournament and decided not to use the glasses for that reason. Dieno wasn’t convinced so he left a pair of glasses in the corner of the ring before their match began. During the match the room went dark and the glasses spoke to Hirata. They’ve been together for years but recently Hirata has left the glasses behind. The glasses feel lonely but it will not give up. Today is the day they will reunite in the ring! Hirata was tempted to reach over when he needed the aid but he ultimately resisted. Meanwhile Dieno was also holding back. He wasn’t using any of his crotch attacks and that made his crotch feel left out. Unlike Hirata, Dieno listened to his greatest weapon and used it to try and get the advantage. He hit the Danshoku Driver but Hirata kicked out! Dieno then attempted the Moonsault but Hirata rolled out of the way and pinned Dieno with the Miracle One Shot Cradle. Hirata wondered if the voices he heard today were all just in his head. He promised his GO! glasses that when he wins the King Of DDT, he will wear them again when he wins the KO-D Openweight Title at Sumo Hall!

Two more Quarter Finalists had a good time together when HARASHIMA & Mike Bailey won their match against DAMNATION. HARASHIMA struck Mad Paulie from behind with the Somato and Bailey finished him off with the Ultima Weapon.

All the participants in Match #3 wore gothic lolita clothing to impress this week’s guest Misako Aoki. As the match went on Antonio Honda opened up his outfit and left his chest bare. He then took Aoki’s stuffed toy rabbit hostage and would only give it back if everyone listened to his story that mixes Gongitsune and Alice In Wonderland together. Aoki stopped Honda by pinching his nipples. Lady Beard then rolled him over for the pin.

A foot injury prevented Kota Umeda from competing in the DNA 10-Man Tag Match. Kazusada Higuchi took his place. Shunma Katsumata promoted the final DNA show before its hiatus on 10th August. He’d like everyone to come see the amazing place they made in Kitizawa Town Hall over the last 3 years and 8 months.

Kendo Kashin asked where the championship belts were at the start of the opening match. He forgot that the planned KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match was cancelled and his team were fighting a different set of wrestlers. He was able to make Sanshiro Takagi tap out to a Cross Armbreaker after Ken Ohka accidentally hit Gota Ihashi with the Fire Spear.

Makoto Oishi is really putting effort into his claim that he is Mr. Maji Manji. He went to the trouble of beating Masahiro Takanashi with the Manjigatame in the dark match.

Gota Ihashi Vs MMA fighter Shinya Aoki was announced for the 28th August episode of Maji Manji.

5. 4 Way Tag Match – No Tag Rules: KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Akito & Shunma Katsumata, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie and Kota Umeda & Kouki Iwasaki when KUDO pinned Katsumata with the Diving Double Knee Drop (11:10).
6. Beer Garden Specialty King Of DDT 2018 Customer Lottery 8-Man Tag Match: Kazuki Hirata, Keisuke Ishii, Daisuke Sasaki & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated HARASHIMA, Mike Bailey, MAO & Tetsuya Endo when Hirata pinned MAO with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (18:41).

The annual Fan Lottery tag match gave us HARASHIMA, Mike Bailey, MAO & Tetsuya Endo Vs Kazuki Hirata, Keisuke Ishii, Daisuke Sasaki & Yukio Sakaguchi in the main event. Sasaki and Endo wanted to start the match in a neutral corner together but Endo’s teammates had to drag him over to their side of the ring. Sasaki and Endo did end up working together until Bailey & MAO wiped them out with the Skylab Hurricance. Hirata rolled out of the way from MAO’s Cannonball 450. That gave Sakaguchi the chance to hit the God’s Right Knee to MAO and Hirata rolled him into the Miracle Cradle for the three count.

Hirata celebrated and once more showed that the “small fish” in this year’s King Of DDT is on a miracle run! The DDT roster was brought out to the ring for a last round of drinks together along with some dancing. Sanshiro Takagi promoted the busy schedule for the rest of the year. We have the next “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” in two days time, there are trips to Nagoya and Osaka, there are the monthly Korakuen Hall shows, there is the Dramatic General Election in September and finally of course there is Sumo Hall on 21st October.

Danshoku Dieno, Saki Akai, Toru Owashi and Yasu Urano were given 3 minutes to finish their match before Hisaya Imabayashi could tell his scary story. This was Ueno’s first time taking part in the tradition and he told everyone he had trained himself not to get scared. When Imabayashi came out something strange happened. There was the spirit of a dead child (Yuni) piggybacking on him! Everybody could see him except for Imabayashi and Ueno. Imabayashi was feeling too ill to notice anything while Ueno’s training was turning out to be effective. Ueno convinced Imabayashi to increase the match time limit to 5 minutes. The match went on as normal until the child decided to get in the way and scare all of the wrestlers, except for Ueno who tried not to notice him. The time elapsed and the bell rang so Imabayashi could start his story.

However midway through the story Imabayashi broke into a coughing fit. Dieno suggested he should take a rest and leave. It turned out to be a ruse and Imabayashi made Dieno faint by pointing at him and shouting “It’s you!” He then did it to Ueno, then Akai, then Owashi and finally Yukinori Matsui. Imabayashi then brought out his Atsushi Onita impression and spat water into the audience while “Wild Thing” played. The child spirit joined in until Imabayashi collapsed and died. The lights went out and a spotlight shined over the child…

“I wonder who is next… It’s you!”

Match #3 was in jeopardy when Makoto Oishi came out in his casual clothes and a backpack. He told everyone he came out to say goodbye because he is quitting DDT! Oishi blamed Takagi for burning him out with useless jobs. One example was Takagi making Oishi collect 60 flashlight pens the night before the Tokyo Idol Festival only to never use them at the wrestling matches held there. Takagi also took Oishi’s Right To Challenge Gauntlet from him recently. Super Sasadango Machine offered to hand over his Gauntlet to Oishi but it was turned down out of principal. Oishi isn’t going to team with Takagi today because he is quitting! Sasadango & Nobuhiro Shimatani came up with an idea. Oishi can team with them so they can all beat up Takagi instead. The match went ahead and turned into a crazy mess of slams onto beer cans and plastic cases. The numbers game was too much for Takagi and Oishi pinned him to get his revenge. Oishi’s opinion on everything suddenly changed. DDT is the best! Takagi is the best boss a guy can have! Oishi would do anything for him. We are Dramatic Dream Team!

Antonio Honda went down with a sudden case of love sickness so A.YAZAWA was brought in to replace him in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match. YAZAWA and Kazusada Higuchi danced and drank the night away to different songs until they fell asleep. Matsui almost counted them out when “Thriller” played and the two rose up to dance like zombies. This continued on until Higuchi pinned YAZAWA.

The Naomi Kingdom look to be making themselves comfortable in DDT after a win over RENEGADES.

Kota Umeda is back from injury and made his return in the 4 Way Tag Match. Everybody agreed to make the match No Tag rules so everyone was free to swap out when they wanted to.

And with that, Fighting Beer Garden 2018 has ended! I need a drink.

Something Like A Falls Count Anywhere Match: Sanshiro Takagi, Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata & MAO and Danshoku Dieno, Momomi Wagatsuma, Imoko Shingeki, Rise Shiokawa & Midori Nagatsuki when Takagi pinned Oishi with a Diving Body Press from a Ladder through a Table (13:19).

2. Something Like A Falls Count Anywhere Match: Danshoku Dieno, Raku, Hikari, Hinano, Miu defeated Makoto Oishi, Hyper Misao & Yuki Kamifuku and Sanshiro Takagi, Akari Saho, Aya Kajishima & Mayu Yoshikawa when Dieno pinned Oishi with the Raw Danshoku Driver on the Dramatic Dream Bicycle (7:45).

Today DDT took a little break from the Beer Garden to visit the Tokyo Idol Festival. The matches were supposed to be held on the stage but all of the wrestlers encouraged the idols to join them on the ground to take part in some Falls Count Anywhere matches.

In the first match all of the idols were given Pico Pico Hammers to attack the wrestlers with. Makoto Oishi wanted to take selfies with the idols but the festival security stepped in whenever he stood to close to the girls. Oishi then got put through a table by Sanshiro Takagi, losing his Right To Challenge Gauntlet to him when he was pinned.

A second match was held a while later and this time Oishi returned with the Up Up Girls (Fake) to perform. Danshoku Dieno and the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) then showed up to stop them. Takagi reappeared on the Dramatic Dream Bicycle and he crashed into Hyper Misao who was using her own Combat Bike. The Up Up Girls all attacked Oishi and Dieno finished him off with the Raw Danshoku Driver on top of the bicycle.

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Shunma Katsumata (c) defeated Meiko Satomura, DASH Chisako & Cassandra Miyagi when Takeshita pinned Miyagi with the German Suplex (17:33).
*V1 for ALL OUT.

The Sendai Girls brought it to ALL OUT today with a difficult title defence for the champions to overcome. DASH Chisako climbed the entrance gate at the stage and dove onto ALL OUT below. The champions were rattled but recovered enough to fight back. Konosuke Takeshita got to clash with Meiko Satomura yet the finish came down to Takeshita pinning Cassandra Miyagi with the German Suplex.

After the match Takeshita thanked the Sendai Girls for the match. He then told Satomura that he wants to fight the strongest wrestlers be they man or woman. That means he wants to fight her in a singles match some day. When the Girls left, “Sky Walk” suddenly played over the speakers and Kendo Kashin came out. He invited Sanshiro Takagi, Ken Ohka and even Yukinori Matsui to join him in the ring and stand across from ALL OUT. Takeshita asked if this was the next team to challenge them for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Kashin said he will be one of the challengers along with NOSAWA Rongai and Keisuke Okuda. There was no reason for the others to be there. Everyone was confused but Kashin handed everyone a beer and asked for a toast. He then threw the beer at ALL OUT and announced their title match will take place on 7th August.

A fan vote was made to determine a special weapon for the Hardcore Tag Match. The AbemaTV audience overwhelmingly voted for Option D: Nobuhiro Shimatani wrapped in barbed wire. He didn’t enjoy it. Meanwhile it looked like the past problems between Daisuke Sasaki & Jun Kasai were water under the bridge. They gelled together as a team as they brawled with Shigehiro Irie & Jason Kincaid. Cracks began to form when Kasai tried to stab Irie in the head with bamboo skewers but hit Sasaki instead. Later Kasai and Sasaki brought in a board with knife blades sticking out of it. Sasaki placed it on Irie and Kasai went for the Pearl Harbour Splash. Sasaki then thought it would be funny to flip the board over so Kasai landed on the knives! An angry Kasai attacked Sasaki and gave him the Reverse Tiger Driver. Irie grabbed Sasaki and gave him a Fire Thunder through a ladder at ringside. Kincaid hit the Philosopher’s Stomp and Irie hit the Beast Bomber to win the match.

The time finally came for Ken Ohka to get his ass kicked. Tenshin Nasukawa was healthy enough to come in and literally kick Ohka in the ass. But first he wanted a warm up. A dummy with Ken Ohka’s face was brought out and Nasukawa kicked its head off. The challenge for Ohka was to take the kick up the backside and go ten seconds without crying. Nasukawa kicked Ohka, Ohka tried to tough it out but was quickly reduced to tears. Ohka accepted defeat and realises it is another painful lesson for him to learn in order to make pro wrestling a major sport.

With Kota Umeda missing the show due to injury, Makoto Oishi claimed he was now the most exciting person on “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” and the undisputed Mr. Maji Manji. He challenged the other wrestlers in the 4 Way Tag to bring their best to impress him. That backfired when Mike Bailey & MAO did their work to beat him. Oishi’s partner Danshoku Dieno was too busy chasing after Yuki Ueno to stop the pin. MAO credited Oishi’s hard work and Ueno’s support for the victory. Bailey & MAO have a lot of momentum after winning the KO-D Tag Team Titles on Sunday. MAO just wants everyone to ignore the fact they don’t have a team name yet.

Today was Kazuki Hirata’s first proper appearance on Maji Manji so it was the first time the show got to experience the “TOKYO GO” shenanigans.

Nobuhiro Shimatani didn’t want to get covered in barbed wire for the Hardcore Match so he wanted that role to be given to the loser of the opening match he was in. He became that loser anyway.

A draft to determine where the DNA wrestlers will move to when DNA closes down will take place on 14th August.

1. Falls Count Anywhere 3 Way Tag Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Kazusada Higuchi defeated HARASHIMA & Keisuke Ishii and Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi when Higuchi pinned Oishi with the Avalanche Argentine Backbreaker from the Stage through a Table (25:38).

For the 5th year in a row DDT travelled over to the HandMade In Japan Fes to make a mess with their Rojo Pro Wrestling match. Sanshiro Takagi wasted no time in collecting chairs while Kazusada Higuchi entered the starting area carrying a ladder. When HARASHIMA and Keisuke Ishii entered they couldn’t find any chairs so HARASHIMA sat down at a nearby drum set and played a tune. Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi then arrived with the remaining chairs.

The match began on the stage but quickly moved to other areas of the venue, the first being the dining hall. Oishi cheekily asked customers if he could take a bite of their food. HARASHIMA attacked Dieno’s backside with traffic cones on his arms.

Down the hall they moved to a marketplace where Dieno took a break to go shopping. He bought a yellow cap. Meanwhile Takagi and Oishi fought their way over to a peanut butter and they forced each other to taste it. Oishi then tried to stab Takagi’s forehead with the tasting spoon. Higuchi lifted the ladder onto his shoulders and spun around, hitting everybody including his partner Takagi. Oishi stopped Higuchi with a chairshot.

Ishii sat Takagi down on a chair and lined him up for HARASHIMA to do a long distance Somato. However Dieno cut HARASHIMA off with the Lip Lock. The match found its way back to the stage where Dieno & Oishi formed a man-made “Hell Car” but their rolling action was stopped by Higuchi.

Ishii stepped back in and fought with Dieno until Takagi arrived on the Dramatic Dream Cycle! He ran over Dieno with it.

A table was set up below the stage where Higuchi and Oishi were fighting. Oishi tried to dive onto Higuchi but he was caught. Higuchi got back on the stage and put Oishi into a Canadian Backbreaker. He then jumped off the stage and hit the Backbreaker through the table! Oishi was out for the count and Higuchi got the pin.

After the match Takagi and Higuchi called the festival organiser up to the stage. Higuchi told him that the Hand Made Festival is held two times a year. He asked the organiser if he wants DDT to return for the winter festival later this year? The organiser said he would consider it if DDT promises to get more involved with the event.

6. Spring Special In The Summer! Falls Count Anywhere 4 Way Match: Masashi Takeda defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Kazusada Higuchi and MAO when Takeda pinned MAO with the Reverse U-Crash from a Van onto a Chair (24:41).

Things got out of control in the main event. Before the 4 Way Match even started MAO got into a confrontation with Sanshiro Takagi at ringside. They were kept apart until part way through the match when Takagi got sick of MAO’s behaviour and gave him a Stunner at ringside. MAO was carried away but soon after the Shin-Kiba 1st RING shutter gates opened and MAO appeared with a van parked behind him. He got into the van, drove it into the venue and bumped it into Takagi! Masashi Takeda made the match more violent with chairs. He then stuck wooden skewers into Kazusada Higuchi’s head! Higuchi returned the favour by finding more skewers and sticking them on Takeda’s head. With the gates opened, the match moved outside where MAO took out fireworks and gave Higuchi an Anal Explosion. Higuchi recovered and threw MAO into a steel container Razor’s Edge style. Even Konosuke Takeshita got into the hardcore style by using chairs on his opponents and giving Higuchi a Vertical Drop Brainbuster onto a trash can. His most extreme moment came when he placed Higuchi on a table and climbed up a nearby scaffold. Takeshita dove off the scaffold and crushed Higuchi through the table! That would have been the end but Takeda stopped the count by throwing a chair at Takeshita’s head. MAO and Takeda fought their way onto the roof of the van. Takeda gave MAO a German Suplex onto the roof then to cap it all off, he dropped MAO onto a pile of chairs below with the Reverse U-Crash for the 3 count. Takeda returned to the ring and said the match was a fun warm up for a title defence he will have in FREEDOMS tomorrow. He also joked that he doesn’t know if DDT will bring him back because he accidentally broke one of the van mirrors during the match. In a backstage interview Takeshita suggested doing a sumo match against Higuchi sometime.

There was a lot of Right To Challenge Gauntlet movement on today’s show. Tetsuya Endo lost his Gauntlet to Akito in a 6-Man Tag Match. DAMNATION ambushed ALL OUT & Saki Akai at the start but Akito grabbed the win when he trapped Endo in a Samson Clutch. Endo might have an excuse for the defeat. He is confused by this new relationship between Daisuke Sasaki and Asuka. Sasaki got annoyed by Endo’s questions and reminded him what their motto is. Endo answered “We never confrom, kiss ass or get married.” No! Sasaki called Endo stupid and said their motto is now “Big Love!” Sasaki announced he and Asuka will team up again on next week’s episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI”, this time without Endo. Then on 22nd July in Korakuen Hall, Sasaki and Asuka will confirm their Big Love together by having a singles match against each other.

HARASHIMA and Antonio Honda got along as a team and were able to beat Irie-gun. However Honda rejected HARASHIMA’s handshake after the match. Instead Honda pulled a bra out from his tights and held it up like it was a title belt. HARASHIMA lifted up his DDT Extreme Title belt in response.

In an attempt to provide as much of an authentic Lucha Libre experience for Ultimo Dragon’s return to DDT, the Timo Timo Timo Dragons requested their match against Shuten-dōji to be Best 2 out of 3 Falls with a 61 minute time limit. Ultimo Dragon himself stopped the unmasking antics from happening. When Hiratimo Dragon’s mask slipped off at the start of the match, Ultimo handed it to him and told him to put it back on. Yuki Iino then pinned Hiratimo with a Lariat to win the blue Right To Challenge Gauntlet. The Timo Dragons all unmasked and framed Yukio Sakaguchi for cheating but Ultimo stopped them again and gave everyone Middle Kicks as punishment. Ultimo then gave Hiratimo the Asai DDT and Sakaguchi pinned Hiratimo to win the 2nd and deciding fall. The result means Sakaguchi now gets Hiratimo’s remaining Gauntlet. After the match Ultimo Dragon ordered the other Dragons to unmask. They did so and revealed they were really Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi and Kazuki Hirata all this time. Fortunately for them, Ultimo saw the funny side and felt honored that these wrestlers tried to imitate him, except for Owashi. Ultimo forgives them and will allow them to continue their gimmick on one condition. They must pay him a rights fee. They already used the gimmick for around 30 matches so they also have to pay him for those 30 matches! The Timo Timo Timo Dragons agreed to end the gimmick and all go back to normal.

Nobody was happier to appear on today’s show than Isami Kodaka. He came here to impress Mari Yaguchi by winning the 3 Way Match and even protected her during the crazier moments of the main event. He couldn’t stop thanking Sanshiro Takagi after his match for the booking. Yukinori Matsui reminded Kodaka not to bring his private life into his public life. He then had to drag Kodaka away from ringside to get the show back on track.

The opening match was held under World Cup rules which meant the much talked about VAR system came into play. Makoto Oishi pinned Kota Umeda with a Low Blow that Matsui missed. Keisuke Ishii’s protests led to Matsui getting the order to check on VAR to see what happened. The decision was made that Oishi fouled Umeda so the match was restarted. Oishi’s complaints led to him getting a yellow card for disruptive behaviour. The foul also meant that Umeda was given a free Penalty Kick to Oishi. VAR was used again when Danshoku Dieno gave Ishii a Low Blow before pinning him with the Gaydo Clutch. Matsui ruled that Dieno fouled Ishii so he too was booked. Umeda got the clean win over Oishi by making him submit to a Camel Clutch. Dieno demanded VAR to be used to reverse the decision. Matsui checked and ruled that there was no foul play so the result stands. Dieno complained but took it too far so Matsui gave him the red card and sent him off!

Ken Ohka’s ass kicking by Tenshin Nasukawa has been rescheduled for 24th July.
