KO-D Tag Team Titles – Factory Pro Wrestling Match: HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji (c) defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Danshoku Dino when Marufuji pinned Dino with the Forklift Shiranui (27:21).
*V1 for HarashiMarufuji.

DDT’s visit to the Miyagi Iron Works began with an appearance by Gota Ihashi. He approached the truck loading platform and positioned himself as if he was making a wish to a shrine. He said he felt nervous like he was having his debut wrestling match all over again. He then entertained the fans with some stories. When he finished, NωA took over and performed a mini concert.

With the pre-show out of the way, it was time for the main attraction. HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji put the KO-D Tag Team Titles on the line against Sanshiro Takagi & Danshoku Dino in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Takagi wanted to square off with Marufuji to start the match. He shook his hand and welcomed him to Factory Pro Wrestling. They exchanged holds and Marufuji quickly discovered how dirty he was going to get just from rolling on the ground.

HARASHIMA and Dino both tagged in and soon the match broke down into a free for all. Marufuji stepped back in to Chop Dino a few times. Takagi grabbed a shovel, scooped up some lime powder and threw it at Marufuji. HARASHIMA did the same to Dino. An angry Marufuji joined in and swung the shovel of powder at the challengers as much as he could. At this point all four wrestlers looked as white as ghosts. The heat from the powder also made them rush around to try and cool down.

Next, Marufuji chased Takagi up a crane to the scaffold. Up there, they tried to push each other off. HARASHIMA followed but his foot slipped on the ladder and he was left hanging upside down by his legs. Dino attacked the defenceless HARASHIMA until Marufuji climbed down to rescue him. Meanwhile the referee Yukinori Matsui was stuck at the top of the crane. His fear of heights got the better of him. Back on the ground, Marufuji tried to get him down by shaking and kicking the crane.

Dino brought Marufuji away from the crane and went to give him the Lip Lock. Marufuji’s attendant Junta Miyawaki stopped him but he was given the Lip Lock instead. Takagi returned to the scene on his Combat Bicycle, hitting HARASHIMA with a Lariat. Marufuji stopped Takagi in his tracks with a kick then robbed the bicycle. Marufuji cycled into Takagi and Dino, striking them down with Horizontal Chops. However he lost control and crashed into Shunma Katsumata and MAO.

Dino grabbed Marufuji and ordered Katsumata and MAO to climb up some nearby vending machines. They did so and both Moonsaulted onto everyone below. Takagi was the first to recover and he grabbed a trash can filled with bottle caps. He emptied the can over HARASHIMA.

Takagi told Marufuji he will taste an attack he had never tasted before over at “The Ark”. This turned out to be a blast from a fire extinguisher. HARASHIMA came to the rescue with his arms covered with traffic cones. He spun around hoping to strike everyone with the cones but Takagi sprayed him with the extinguisher.

The match found its way over to the roadside where Takagi and Marufuji found a truck with Gota Ihashi sitting inside it. Takagi ordered Ihashi to set up a table and a ladder next to the truck. Takagi sprayed Marufuji again and placed him on the table. He climbed up the ladder but in the meantime, Marufuji got off the table and put Ihashi in his place. Takagi didn’t noticed and dove off the ladder, crushing Ihashi through the table instead of Marufuji!

Back inside the factory, Dino found a hose and cleaned the powder off both himself and Takagi. Dino again tried to give Marufuji the Lip Lock, telling him his love from over the years will finally bloom. Marufuji fought him off with Chops. Takagi threw some chairs into a pile next to the truck. He tried to give HARASHIMA a Brainbuster from the truck to the pile but Marufuji stopped him by jamming a chair up his backside. Takagi fell back onto the pile and HARASHIMA dove onto him with the Somato. HARASHIMA went for the pin but Dino cut him off at two. Dino finally caught Marufuji with the Lip Lock but Marufuji kicked out of it.

Dino ordered Makoto Oishi to hold Marufuji while he got in the Hell Gate position on a forklift. The forklift moved up and down, making Dino do the Danshoku Nightmare on Marufuji. HARASHIMA returned with a traffic cone and he jammed it up Dino’s backside as the forklift descended. Marufuji found a road sign nearby. He threw it to Dino and when he caught it, Marufuji smashed the sign into Dino’s face with a Jumping Knee Attack. Marufuji then gave Dino the Shiranui off of the forklift to bring an end to the match. HARASHIMA & Marufuji are still the KO-D Tag Team Champions!

After the match HARASHIMA was full of positivity over Marufuji’s first Street Wrestling match. He called Marufuji a “truly flashing genius” and he couldn’t believe how well he did for his first time doing something like this. Marufuji said he felt a bit sticky but he & HARASHIMA showed everyone how powerful they are together no matter what the situation is. Their celebration was cut short when another forklift drove into the area.

The truck stopped and all of Shuten-dōji were on it. KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi were standing on the platform while Yukio Sakaguchi was in the driver’s seat. Takanashi congratulated the champions on their victory then challenged them to a title match. He said Marufuji’s chops cannot compare to KUDO & Sakaguchi’s kicks. He wants KUDO & Sakaguchi to be the next challengers. Sakaguchi caught Takanashi by surprise by admitting he wasn’t interested in going after the Tag Titles right now. This time, Sakaguchi wants to see Takanashi team with KUDO and go for the titles together. KUDO agreed. A confused Takanashi didn’t know what to do and told Sakaguchi to drive away but he didn’t. HARASHIMA & Marufuji accepted the challenge and agreed to put the titles on the line on 9th October when Marufuji is next available to wrestle for DDT. Marufuji then revealed he had stolen Takanashi’s phone and portable wi-fi device. Takanashi tried to save face by saying he didn’t need them, then finally convinced Sakaguchi to drive away. The champions finished their victory speech to close out the show. They are HarashiMarufuji! They will let the wind blow all over the world! Why? Because they train!

HARASHIMA and KUDO last had a singles match together in May 2015 but the two have a long history together as friends and rivals. Danshoku Dino and Super Sasadango Machine is another long time relationship, one that even Dino doesn’t want to damage. This match was unexpectedly put together by Hisaya Imabayashi, much to Dino’s surprise.

Some extra rules have been established for the brand new KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles. After the first champions were crowned Dino quickly realised how difficult it will be to schedule all five members of the team to appear at the same shows on a regular basis. In this situation, only Makoto Oishi & Ken Ohka can be relied on for regular DDT bookings at this moment in time. LiLiCo, Lady Beard and Super Sasadango Machine all have conflicting schedules. So the plan is title defences will be endorsed if at least 3 members of the defending team including the team captain are available. The remaining spots on the team can be filled by temporary replacements. However the replacements will not be recognised as champions themselves. Any successful defences will be credited to the original champions even when they are absent.

Naomichi Marufuji is hesitant about wrestling a Falls Count Anywhere Match inside a factory but his boss over in NOAH gave him permission to take part.

The good news for Okha is if he loses the title to “brother” YASSHI, he will still be part of the 3 Way Titles Match in DDT. The bad news is he will have to put something else on the line to replace the title. More on that below.

Producer Dino ended “RYOGOKU PETER PAN” with a major announcement concerning the main event for DDT’s next show in Korakuen Hall. It is a 3 Way Match with the KO-D Openweight Title, DDT Extreme Title and Independent World Jr. Title all on the line! The winner will become a double champion, taking the title from whoever he pins or submits. The odd man out will escape the match with their respective championship still in their grasp. In the case that Ohka loses his championship in Ganpuro a few days before this show, he agrees to put his entire life savings of 664,111 yen on the line instead.

8-Man Tag Team Match: Sanshiro Takagi, Kazuki Hirata, Makoto Oishi & DJ Nira defeated Danshoku Dino, Antonio Honda, Seiya Morohashi & Gota Ihashi when Oishi pinned Ihashi after Mr. Pogo spat a Fireball at Ihashi (25:37).

Back in February DDT teamed up with the Up Up Girls and it was such a success they’ve done it again. This time it was held at the Miyaji Iron Works, a factory that has in the past been the location of several DDT Falls Count Anywhere matches. The Up Up Girls made their entrance on a forklift and performed some songs until Danshoku Dino, Antonio Honda, Seiya Morohashi & Gota Ihashi interrupted the performance. Dino protested that the factory should be silent and no music was allowed. Makoto Oishi came to the rescue and was joined by Sanshiro Takagi, Kazuki Hirata & DJ Nira. Naturally this turned into an 8-Man Tag Team match to begin there and then.

Everyone attacked each other with shovels filled with lime salt. Even the one of Up Up Girls got involved and aimed the salt at Dino. But Dino ducked everytime, resulting in Oishi and Takagi getting blinded by accident instead. DJ Nira did the most daring thing he’s ever done, Moonsaulting off of a vending machine. Takagi cycled into the brawl with his Combat Bicycle, running over Ihashi and Honda. Dino climbed up the forklift and used it to do an elevated Danshoku Nightmare on Oishi. Meanwhile Hirata started dancing with the Up Up Girls. The idols then threw water balloons at him. Dino gave Oishi the Danshoku Driver on the loading platform. Honda then put Oishi in the Octopus Hold. Oishi was on the verge of giving up but he fought out of it when the Up Up Girls sang to him. Dino grabbed Manami Arai and held her hostage on top of the forklift. Takagi and Nira tried to save her but they all got their heads shoved into Dino’s backside. Manami was about to suffer the same fate until she yelled for her “uncle” to come rescue her. Out came Mr. Pogo! The deathmatch legend saved Manami (they’re both from the same region) and then spat a fireball at Ihashi. Oishi rolled on top of Ihashi for the pin. The Up Up Girls thanked “Uncle Pogo” for his help. Takagi thanked him too and also called him uncle. Pogo told him “Do not call me Uncle, you bastard!”

2 Vs 2 Vs 3 Handicap Falls Count Anywhere Match: Kazuyoshi Sakai, Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Kota Ibushi and Michael Nakazawa & Hiroshi Fukuda when Sakai pinned Fukuda with the Danshoku Driver through a table (33:39).

It was a cloudy evening in Miyaji when DDT took over the Miyaji Ironworks plant for their annual Falls Count Anywhere match held in that location. This time around the match saw Kazuyoshi Sakai from Muscle return to action to team with Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi. Their opponent was supposed to be Sanshiro Takagi and his Elite Street Troops. They turned out to be Kota Ibushi and Michael Nakazawa! Actually it was just Ibushi. Nakazawa wasn’t needed and Takagi was confident enough that he and Ibushi would win a 3-on-2 Handicap match. Nakazawa argued that he should be included but his complaints fell on deaf ears. That was until Hiroshi Fukuda showed up. He was impressed by Nakazawa’s spirit and offered to team with him and turn the match into a three team affair.

The match itself saw Fukuda bring out a drum filled with lime powder that eventually covered everyone in a cloud of dust. Takagi brought along a guitar and sang “Lullaby of the Jagged Heart” before hitting his opponents with it. Ibushi Moonsaulted off of a telephone pole. According to Ibushi this is either the 3rd or 4th time he jumped off a telephone pole. He was in elementary school when he did it the first time. Sakai put on Dino’s tights and gained the power of Danshoku. He put Fukuda through a table with the Danshoku Driver and pinned him to win the chaotic match.

There will be a lot of focus on two of the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contracts at this show. Keisuke Ishii announced his intention to cash in his contract on 23rd June. Antonio Honda can spoil his plan and possibly take the title shot at Korakuen Hall for himself if he beats Ishii. Meanwhile one of the other contracts is currently held by Sayaka Obihiro from Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling. She and her mentor Emi Sakura are holding the contract hostage and dared DDT to either win it or buy it back. Tetsuya Endo, who regularly wrestles in Gatoh Move challenged Obihiro but failed to bring the contract back. Now he teams with the two women to defend the contract from the Samurai Sentai Samurai Rangers.

Union continues their partnership with Idea Pocket by introducing a new championship created by the AV company. The first Aipoke World Champion will be decided in a 4 Way match between FUMA, Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Kasai and Hiroshi Fukuda who returns from exile after his Loser Leaves Town defeat last month. Fukuda’s box office success with Ultimate Superstars Action convinced Naomi Susan to give him a second chance and bring him back to Union just for this match.

There is also a deluxe prize for the champion. He will win a date with Idea Pocket idol Aino Kishi.

DDT returns to the factory in Miyaji for another bout of street wrestling and this time they are bringing Kazuyoshi Sakai with them. Sakai was a part time wrestler for MUSCLE between 2005 and 2010. He mostly wrestled as a Razor Ramon HG parody during his time there. He has since returned for one more match at last year’s “BUDOKAN PETER PAN” show. Sanshiro Takagi is bringing together an elite team of street wrestlers to take on Sakai, Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi. I will be shocked if one of those elite wrestlers is not Kota Ibushi.

3 Way Trios Match: KUDO, Makoto Oishi & Akito defeated Danshoku Dino, Kota Ibushi & Hiroshi Fukuda and Michael Nakazawa, Tomomitsu Matsunaga & DJ Nira when Oishi submitted Nakazawa with a Palo Special on top of a forklift (28:01).

Homoiro Clover Z planned a special performance over at the Miyaju Ironworks, a popular location for DDT’s infamous Anwhere Pro Wrestling shows for some fun games, singing and dancing. However, the show was met with a few setbacks. The performance was delayed for an hour due to rainy weather. Then the planned game of bingo was cancelled when everyone forgot to bring cards. If that wasn’t bad enough, the Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament afterwards was interrupted by Michael Nakazawa and Tomomitsu Matsunaga. The two challenged Homoiro Clover Z to a game of Musical Chairs but that soon devolved into more arguements. Everyone decided to solve their problems by holding a Falls Count Anywhere Three Way Trios match. Danshoku Dino, Kota Ibushi & Hiroshi Fukuda were the first team, KUDO, Makoto Oishi & Akito were the second team and Nakazawa & Matsunaga dragged DJ Nira over to their side to be the third team. That left Hikari Minami on her own to cheer for everyone, dance on top of the forklift and cause some extra mischief on the side.

The factory surroundings were used during the match. Ibushi and Dino used a crane to hang Nakazawa by his tights, Akito and Fukuda threw lime powder at each other and everyone else fought to get access to parked van nearby. Nakazawa called for a ceasefire when he needed to use the bathroom but while he wasy busy using the urinal, Ibushi snuck up to him and kicked him in the rear. Dino used the forklift to lift him up and down on Oishi with his Danshoku Nightmare and then Ibushi later did a moonsault from the raised forklift. Oishi and Nakazawa then fought on top of the forklift. Oishi took a page from Warsman and locked on the Palo Special on Nakazawa with the forklift lowering down towards Dino’s exposed backside. Nakazawa submitted. Homoiro Clover Z ended the performance with their idol pose and thanked all the fans for coming.

1. Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa defeated Kota Ibushi & Michael Nakazawa when Sawa submitted Nakazawa with an Octopus Hold on top of a forklift (33:31).
2. 4-On-1 Handicap: Kota Ibushi, Michael Nakazawa, Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa defeated The Factory God when Ibushi pinned God with a German Suplex into a container of lime powder (1:40).

One of the more unlikely places to find a wrestling show taking place in Japan today was the Miyaji Ironworks factory. DDT returned to the factory once again to hold another one of its infamous “Street Wrestling” events, this time to raise money for charity. Despite the forecast for a rainy afternoon possibly cancelling DDT’s plans, the area stayed dry and the show went on as planned. Ken Ohka was there as the announcer and gave out safety information to the fans in attendence. The match set for today was Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa Vs Kota Ibushi & Michael Nakazawa. All four wrestlers began the match wearing safety helmets and Takagi had his belly wrapped in plastic foil. He said it was for dieting reasons. The crowd circled around the four as the match began. Takagi paired off with Nakazawa while Ibushi and Sawa started to fight to another part of the factory. Sawa tried to attack Ibushi with some giant pincers but Ibushi fended him off with a large bucket of lime powder. The four would soon be covered in lime powder and they then moved onto the steel yard section. Ibushi placed Sawa onto a section of steel pipes and then climbed up a nearby crane. Sawa recovered and chased after Kota. Soon they were high up on the crane but before they could continue their fight, they noticed that someone was working up there. It was YOSHIHIKO! Angry that Ibushi and Sawa were interrupting his job, YOSHIHIKO attacked both of them. That wasn’t all, as he then dived off of the crane onto Takagi and Nakazawa below! YOSHIHIKO took no further part in the match and instead took his lunch break at the vending machines.

Takagi and Nakazawa were later seen fighting on top of the vending machines, where Takagi had his opponent in a Figure 4 Leg Lock. Ibushi and Sawa both reappeared sticking their heads out of the window above their partners. They both held kettles filled with boiling water out of the window and poured them onto Takagi and Nakazawa. Ibushi found a large wooden pallet and placed it down when Nakazawa approached him and complained about the boiling water. Ibushi responded by Suplexing Michael onto the pallet. Takagi & Sawa looked to take advantage with Takagi aiming to throw Sawa onto Michael with a Spicolli Driver. However, Michael moved out of the way and Sawa crashed onto the pallet. Takagi held back his opponents and even the referee with a high-pressure water cannon. The match moved onto the road outside the factory where Sawa & Takagi double teamed Ibushi. Some miscommunication involving a Shining Wizard hitting the wrong guy and a Cross Bomber attempt going wrong allowed Ibushi & Nakazawa to turn the tables yet they could not put Takagi away. Ibushi did two Moonsaults off of a truck. That soon came back to haunt him as Takagi crawled into a van and drove it into Ibushi! He went for a pin but only got himself a two count. The fighting travelled back into factory property where Ibushi dove off of a stack of pallets. Sawa switched on a forklift and used it to pin Ibushi and Takagi into a fence. Nakazawa attacked Sawa on the forklift’s pallet. He went for the No Michael, No Cry but it was countered into the Octopus Hold as the pallet was suddenly being lifted into the air. Nakazawa couldn’t break out and had to submit, giving Sawa & Takagi the victory!

However, that wasn’t the end. The song “Be My Baby” by Complex was suddenly playing in the background and a weird looking man covered in dust and paint appeared from the crane and danced down towards the crowd. He is the Factory God and he was angry that these four wrestlers made a mess of his factory! He challenged all of them to a match and it begun right there and then. He knocked down all four of his enemies and then charged towards Ibushi with a Flying Headbutt. Kota expertly dodged the attack and struck the Factory God with a High Kick. He then gave the God a German Suplex into a container of lime deposits to create an explosion of powder blocking everyone’s sight. As the smoke cleared, Ibushi was seen being triumphant in defeating the Factory God by pinning him for the three count. The show ended with Michael Nakazawa standing on top of the forklift getting the fans to yell out in unison “3…2…1…Miyaji Iron Works Co., Ltd.!”

KO-D Tournament Entries, Return To The Factory

The line-up this year’s KO-D Openweight Title Contendership Tournament has been revealed. Sixteen names will compete in Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 21st May for “KING OF DDT TOKYO”. Rounds 1 & 2 will take place there. The Semi-Finals and Final will take place eight days later at Kyoto KBS Hall for “KING OF DDT KYOTO”. The wrestlers competing in this years tournament are:

HARASHIMA, Kota Ibushi, KUDO, MIKAMI, Kenny Omega, Yasu Urano, Makoto Oishi, Antonio Honda, Hikaru Sato, Daisuke Sasaki, Keisuke Ishii, Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Super Shit Machine, Michael Nakazawa, Shigehiro Irie and Seiya Morohashi

A lottery will take place during “MAX BUMP 2011” on 4th May to decide who will face who in the first round.

The first stop will be Miyaji Ironworks, a location familiar to DDT fans as the site for a KO-D Tag Title defence for Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa during their “Greatest Title Run Ever ©”. The duo will team up at the factory again to take on the “Street Wrestling King” Kota Ibushi & Michael Nakazawa.
