Kamino wants to settle the score in one match so he asked BASARA to bring them back together as a tag team for him to fight. Kamino also decided he won’t team with Takato Nakano because they will soon fight each other for the Union MAX Title. Instead, Ryota Nakatsu will be Kamino’s partner for this match.

It’s Royal Rumble season so add BASARA to the growing list of companies that are doing their own version of the match this year.

DDT “NEW YEAR, NEW HERO. 2025 ~A NEW STORY BEGINS~”, 26/01/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: Danshoku Dieno (c) Vs Gorgeous Matsuno
2. DDT Universal Title: Gringo Loco (c) Vs Yuki Ueno
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Chris Brookes (c) Vs Shuji Ishikawa

According to both DDT and Gringo Loco he has defended the DDT Universal Title twice in North America. One was in Canada for Demand Lucha and I cannot for the life of me find where or when the second one took place. For his third defence he is nominating Yuki Ueno because he stands out the most to Loco. It will be Loco’s first time defending the title in Japan.

Danshoku Dieno made the decision to defend the DDT Extreme Title against Gorgeous Matsuno because he does not know if they will ever get another chance to do the match. Matsuno is still known to the public for a public divorce he went through in the 1990s where he was accused by his wife at the time of abuse. The divorce was finalised but it was also ruled by the court that there was no evidence to support the accusation. Dieno only knows Matsuno through his wrestling career and feels the need to have a heart to heart match while he still holds the Extreme Title. Dieno also wants a contract signed that says no one will be responsible for anything that happens in the ring during the match.

7. Mizuki, Miyu Yamashita & Wakana Uehara defeated Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro when Mizuki pinned Aino with the Cutie Special (16:04).

It wasn’t a very happy return for Yuki Aino to her home town. She dropped the fall in the main event to Mizuki. Aino’s team is nicknamed the Tokyo Joshi Tokusatsu Club so she had an idea to stack up with Shoko Nakajima & Haru Kazashiro Megazord style. However Kazashiro wanted to be the base like Nodoka Tenma used to and she wasn’t strong enough to carry Aino & Nakajima on her shoulders. The trio were able to recover with Nakajima giving Miyu Yamashita the Northern Lights Suplex while Kazashiro gave Wakana Uehara the Fisherman Suplex. However Mizuki fought back against Aino, gave her the Run Up Foot Stomp and then won with the Cutie Special.

Mizuki congratulated Aino on her hometown return and asked for forgiveness because she beat Aino in front of her parents. Aino told the fans she is really happy to perform in Okayama every year in front of such a warm audience. Nakajima said Okayama is the place where people feel the most like family. Tokyo Joshi Pro is a family that continues to grow so she wants to cherish it. Kazashiro said she couldn’t stop dreaming about getting to team with Aino in Okayama. She also can’t stop dreaming about Tenma either.

Order Of Elimination: Yuki Aino, Hyper Misao, Pom Harajuku, Arisu Endo, Shoko Nakajima.
7. Mizuki & Suzume defeated Miyu Yamashita & Yoshiko Hasegawa when Mizuki pinned Hasegawa with the Diving Foot Stomp (12:42).

It’s finally going to happen. Around 8 years ago Rika Tatsumi revealed she had a crush on Mizuki and couldn’t even contain herself whenever they were in the ring together. Now after all this time they are soon going to have their first singles match together. Tatsumi was the last woman standing in a Battle Royal. Among the eliminations that happened Hyper Misao kicked Yuki Aino out of the ring, Pom Harajuku rolled Misao in a Gedo Clutch to pin her, everyone else then piled on top of Harajuku to take her out, Shoko Nakajima pinned Arisu Endo with a Hurricanrana and Tatsumi won by submitted Nakajima with the White Dragon Sleeper.

Tatsumi then returned to the ring after the main event to speak with Mizuki. She told her they first met eight years ago and they never had a singles match against each other in that time. She had given up on hoping the match would ever happen but still dreamed of fighting her for the Princess Of Princess Title. Today she won her ticket to make this dream come true! Mizuki said 16th March is an important date for her because it’s her birthday so she wants the match to be the main event of “GRAND PRINCESS ’25” in Ota Ward Gymnasium! Tatsumi agreed and they promised each other it will be a great birthday.

The debuting Jada Stone defeated Kaya Toribami in a match that pitted high flyer against high flyer. Stone landed a Moonsault for a nearfall and then used a handspring to position herself into giving Toribami the Spark Stunner for the win.

6. Yuki Kamifuku & Lei Ying Lee defeated Rika Tatsumi & Wakana Uehara when Lee pinned Uehara with the Thunder Strike (12:07).
7. International Princess Title: Suzume defeated Yuki Arai (c) with the Modified Ring A Bell (13:20).
*Yuki Arai fails in V7. Suzume becomes the 13th International Princess Champion!
8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh (c) defeated Masha Slamovich & Zara Zakher when Yamashita pinned Zakher with the Crash Rabbit Heat (12:05).
*V3 for 121000000.
9. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki defeated Miu Watanabe (c) with the Cutie Special (18:40).
*Miu Watanabe fails in V6. Mizuki becomes the 15th Princess Of Princess Champion!

Looks like Mizuki was right. She is the princess and Miu Watanabe is the monster she defeated today to become the new Princess Of Princess Champion! Watanabe relied on her great strength to swing Mizuki around but Mizuki hit the Cutie Special into the corner to turn things around. Watanabe was able to do a Reverse Tear Drop but Mizuki hit back with the Whirling Candy. Then with the champion feeling stunned, Mizuki ran up and did a Pop Up Double Stomp to flatten her before using another Cutie Special to win the match.

Mizuki said the match was hard and Watanabe was indeed a monster. But she also saw Watanabe shining like a princess first hand. She wanted to be the champion again and put so much pressure on herself she became worried over what to do if she lost. But hearing everyone’s cheers were what pushed Mizuki to do what she wanted to do and win. She is happy to see so many people come to see the show and told everyone 2025 is only just beginning for Tokyo Joshi Pro! When she exited the ring she saw Yuka Sakazaki watching from behind the entrance curtain and went to go join her. Backstage Watanabe said she feels lonely without the championship but she’ll keep doing her best.

The goal of reaching 10 defences is still on for 121000000. In Defence #3 Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh put the Princess Tag Team Titles on the line against the foreign pairing of Masha Slamovich & Zara Zakher. The champs also debuted new gear as well as a new intro song made by Itoh. Zakher dodged the Skull Kick and used a cartwheel to give Yamashita an RKO but Itoh broke the pin. The champs then gave Zakher a Stunner into a German Suplex. Itoh held Slamovich in a Crab Hold while Yamashita cut down Zakher with a Buzzsaw Kick before finishing her off with the Crash Rabbit Heat. Backstage Yamashita called it a tough match that woke her up from her new year slump. She then tried to get Itoh to apologize for eliminating her from the Princess Rumble. Itoh ignored her and headed back to the locker room. Slamovich told reporters she would like to defend the TNA Knockouts World Title the next time she comes back to Japan. Zakher also wants to keep coming back to TJPW until she wins a championship here.

The year long International Princess Title reign has come to an end! Yuki Arai was defeated by Suzume in her seventh attempted defence. Suzume was able to block the Rookie Award only for Arai to hit it from behind. She hit it again from the front but only got a two count for it. Suzume then countered the Full Nelson Buster into a Facebuster and went for the Ring A Bell. Arai blocked it and pushed Suzume to the ropes where Suzume did a springboard off the middle rope to launch herself into hitting the Ring A Bell for the victory! Suzume said from the first time they met she thought Arai’s presence was so powerful it was intimidating. But Suzume’s desire to win the title is stronger and everyone was cheering her, Arisu Endo included. She wants to fight wrestlers from around the world and break Arai’s title defence record. Arai doesn’t feel as upset as she thought she would be because she gave it her all. She now wants to become a pro wrestler who can take on many challenges and fight for other championships as well as the IP Title.

The team up of Yuki Kamifuku & Lei Ying Lee worked out well enough for them to win. As Kamifuku described it afterwards: yesterday’s enemy is tomorrow’s friend. She took out Rika Tatsumi with a Reverse Famouser while Lee ended up pinning Wakana Uehara with a Modified Hercules Cutter followed by the Thunder Strike. Lee said she had a great time in TJPW and would also like a rematch with Kamifuku for her championships. Kamifuku told her she’ll ask the company if they’re interested. Tatsumi said her new year fortune warned her that a storm-like disaster will occur and all of a sudden it happened here today! She also said Lee has an aura around her that nobody in TJPW has. Tatsumi also got mad when she heard Uehara say she would like to team up with Kamifuku next.

The return of Sakazaki to TJPW was slightly changed due to Haru Kazashiro falling ill. Her and Moka Miyamoto were still teaming up and Shino Suzuki was moved up the card to team with Endo in Kazahsiro’s place. Suzuki took her chance by putting Sakazaki in the Sleeper Hold but she was shaken off and dropped with the Tea Time. Endo tried to help her out but got brushed aside so Sakazaki & Miyamoto could finish Suzuki off. Sakazaki described Suzuki in her current state as a soft shelled turtle. She has a lot of guts and will grow into becoming a good wrestler. Sakazaki also noticed Endo has become calmer and more reliable than the last time they fought each other. She told Miyamoto to take care of TJPW so she can watch with peace of mind when everyone is doing their best. She would like to come back again even just to watch from the sidelines but is unsure of what her future schedule will be like.

2025 is the Year Of The Snake so that explains why Poison Sawada JULIE has suddenly returned to TJPW! He was called upon to be the special referee for the annual Shoko Nakajima Vs Hyper Misao match that was being held this year as a Lumber Snake Death Match. Sawada got up to his tricks before it even begun when Nakajima found an “energy drink” backstage, drank it and then fainted. The drink was actually Sawada’s potion that transformed her into a Snake Person! It turned out Sawada tricked several wrestlers into becoming Snake People and he led them out dancing to the song “Nikumikirenai Rokudenashi” by Kenji Sawada. He then announced he will transform TJPW into Hebikai Joshi Pro Wrestling! If Misao wants to bring everyone back to normal she will have to win and take the antidote from Sawada. Otherwise Misao will be forced to drink the potion too and become Viper Misao!

Misao now had to fight off an entire snake powered joshi company invasion by herself. It was made even tougher when Sawada stepped in to use his Snake Magic against her. She was able to block some of it by using her cape as a shield but Nakajima tucked the cape away to make it useless. Misao was attacked by the lumberjacks outside the ring so she ran off to get on the Hyper Mobile but Sawada’s magic steered her towards crashing into Mahiro Kiryu instead of his warriors. Misao fought back in the ring but when she was close to victory, Sawada pulled the ref out of the ring. Misao fought to get her cape back and when Nakajima used Snake Magic on her, Misao deflected it into Sawada to knock him out. She then gave Nakjima the Hypami Returns to win the match.

She quickly gave antidotes to the wrestlers after the match only to find out one was missing for Nakajima. Sawada revealed he purposely did not have enough antidotes for everyone so Nakajima would remain under his control! However Nakajima restrained herself from following his orders because she is determined to win the tag titles with Misao this year. Sawada could see Nakajima still has a human side to her so he revealed he actually does have one more antidote left and gave it to her. However as long as there is darkness in someone’s heart, he will return. Sawada also told Misao before leaving that she is too good to be a hero. TJPW then announced the annual Kyoraku Kyomei match will happen again at next year’s Ittenyon show.

Aja Kong was given the full Love Triangle experience and in return she gave them the full Aja Kong experience. Before the match began Kiryu was excluded from the other five wrestlers who all agreed to give her the Oyasumi Express. Kiryu lost her temper and Body Slammed all three opponents while Kong & Haruna Neko agreed to team with her as scheduled. She then demanded Kong apologize to her not once but twice because she felt the first one was not heartfelt. Kong told her she doesn’t know how to apologize so Kiryu demonstrated one by doing the Dogeza Knee Drop to Pom Harajuku. Kong was then asked by Harajuku for a New Year’s Gift so she hit Harajuku over the head with the steel can. Raku armed herself with her pillow to fight against Kong and her can. She hit Kong over the head with the pillow but got a Lariat in return. Yuki Aino came to the rescue and won the match for her team after giving Neko the Venus DDT. Kong blamed Kiryu for the loss because if she just accepted the 5-On-1 fight in the first place then Neko wouldn’t have lost! Kong also has bad knees so Kiryu shouldn’t have ordered her to apologize because it only would have made her knees worse!

The trio of Matcha, Ivy Steele & Kira Summer were excited to be in Japan for the holidays and wished everyone a happy new year while stretching Yoshiko Hasegawa in the middle of the ring. Hasegawa got some help from Kaya Toribami and together the two of them knocked Matcha & Summer out of the ring. That left Steele having to fight Ryo Mizunami by herself and she was beaten with a Spear. Mizunami said she was super happy to start the year with TJPW in front of a packed crowd. Despite losing, Matcha still thinks she was part of a good team and looks forward to seeing what will happen next.

The opening match was the TJPW debut of their newest signing, Mifu Ashida. She made a cheerleader type of entrance and used her agility to run circles around Toga & Chika Nanase. Toga cut her off with the Elbow Smash and hit a Rolling Thunder. She only got a two count because HIMAWARI broke the pin. Ashida tried fighting back but Toga hit her with another Elbow Smash and pinned her with the Rock Bottom. Toga said she sees Ashida as her rival because they debuted in the same year. She can tell she has a competitive side and would like to have a singles match against her. HIMAWARI called Ashida an immediate asset because she has a body with flexibility she has never seen before. Ashida herself is confident she can become a top wrestlers in TJPW within a year.

TJPW will soon be taking a ride on the bullet train! Sanshiro Takagi announced he will produce another wrestling match inside a travelling bullet train and this time it will involve TJPW. “SHINKANSEN JOSHI PRO WRESTLING” will be held on 15th February on the Nozomi line from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka. It will be an 8-Woman Falls Count Anywhere Match between Miu Watanabe, Mizuki, Raku & Aja Kong against Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh, Yuki Arai & Max The Impaler!

At the start of the show The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) debuted a new song called “Stand Up! Proof Of Love”. They were down a member because Uta Takami was out sick. When they finished the performance it was revealed that the lyrics were written by Hyper Misao!

5. WINTICKET Presents I Hope There Will Be Lots Of Fun And Exciting Things Next Year! New Year’s Japanese Pro Wrestling! 20 Wrestler PRINCESS RUMBLE 2024: Miu Watanabe defeated Yuki Aino with the Tear Drop (37:07).
Order Of Elimination: Yuna Manase, Poison Sawada JULIE, Hyper Misao, Antonio Honda, Miyu Yamashita, Kira Summer, Maki Itoh, HIMAWARI, Pokotan, Mahiro Kiryu, Wakana Uehara, Haruna Neko, Kaya Toribami, Aja Kong, Rika Tatsumi, Ryo Mizunami, Yuki Arai, Raku, Yuki Aino.

The final Tokyo Joshi Pro show of 2024 was like a big party to close out the year. The very last match TJPW put together this year was the first Princess Rumble. It a 20-person Rumble with eliminations by pinfall, submission or being thrown over the top rope and out of the ring. Yuki Aino and HIMAWARI drew the unlucky first two entries but Aino was able to last until the very end. Yuna Manase was eliminated first to continue the unlucky weekend she’s been having. Hyper Misao showed why heroes still wear capes by using hers as a shield from Poison Sawada JULIE’s snake magic. Mahiro Kiryu apologized for 2024 as a whole. Kira Summer was able to eliminate Antonio Honda because the language barrier between them meant she wouldn’t fall for the Gongitsune trick. Maki Itoh used a pile of other wrestlers as a podium so she could sing above everyone. She also betrayed Miyu Yamashita by pulling the top rope down so Yamashita could fall out of the ring and get eliminated. Rika Tatsumi crushed Pokotan’s head before she eliminated the mascot. Haruna Neko was eliminated by everyone piling on top of her. Aja Kong was one of the mystery entrants. She eliminated Wakana Uehara and also helped Raku eliminate Kaya Toribami. Raku then hugged Arai and everyone piled on top of them. That meant Raku accidentally pinned Kong to eliminate her. The other surprise was Ryo Mizunami but she almost got herself disqualified by taking too long to enter the ring because she was partying too much at ringside. The two singles champions Miu Watanabe and Yuki Arai tried working together until Aino & Raku got the better of Arai to knock her out of the match. Watanabe was able to fight on by herself and use the Tear Drop on Raku and then Aino to win the Rumble!

Watanabe was happy to win the match because she wins the prize which includes 10kg of rice cakes! She doesn’t actually know how many rice cakes that is but it doesn’t matter because winning the Princess Rumble is more proof that she is a princess, not a monster! Some of the other wrestlers got to say some words to close out the show. Arai said by spending the year as a champion, 2024 is the year that made her love pro wrestling. Yamashita is happy to have wrestled overseas a lot this year and she won a championship with Itoh. She then remembered Itoh eliminated her from the Rumble so she should be mad at her. Itoh quickly changed the subject by asking the fans who is the cutest in the world? Watanabe finished by saying how happy she is that so many people came to see TJPW this year. So let’s make next year even better!

A good chunk of the card was made up of championship matches featuring titles from wrestling companies around Southeast Asia. Yuki Kamifuku put her Asian Double Crown on the line against Lei Ying Lee from China in a match that was delayed since October. The vital point in the match was when Kamifuku countered a Power Bomb into the Famouser. She then dodged the Thunder Strike to hit another Famouser for the victory. She wondered why she had to spend the last show of the year taking part in a tough championship match when almost everyone else was being put in fun party matches. She didn’t like the vibe coming from Ying Lee but she does like her makeup so she wants to team up with her in the future. Ying Lee said this was her first title match since leaving WWE so she prepared a lot for it. She is disappointed she lost but thinks Kamifuku is a great opponent so she is also happy they had a great match against each other.

In a rematch from Thailand last month Pom Harajuku faced Matcha with the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title once again on the line. Harajuku wanted to win quickly but Matcha made sure they were going to have a challenging fight. Matcha thought she had the upper hand when she did the Saito Suplex but Harajuku immediately hit her back with the Pom de Justice. She then knocked Matcha off her feet with a Shin Kick to land another Pom de Justice for the three count and successful first defence. Backstage Harajuku thought defending once means the belt now belongs to her permanently. She got confused when everyone around her shook their heads. She admits the match was so crazy that she isn’t feeling right after it. Like she is no longer 3 years old but is now 18 months old. Matcha is sad she wasn’t able to win back the title but will not give up on her goal to be the SETUP champion again. She is also happy she got to wrestle in Korakuen Hall again nine years after her last match there.

The bulk of the undercard was made up of a 5 Vs 5 Team Gauntlet match called TJPW RUSH! Every match had a five minute time limit and could be won with a 2-Count Pinfall until one team lost all of its members. If time expired then it will go to Overtime with 1-Count Pinfalls needed to win. Shoko Nakajima was the Red Team captain and chose to enter first while the White Team captain Mizuki placed herself last in her team. Nakajima went off to a good start by beating Yoshiko Hasegawa and then Uta Takami. But the first upset of the match came when Shino Suzuki got a 2-Count pin on Nakajima to eliminate her! Suzuki continued the momentum by pinning Toga next but her underdog run came to an end thanks to Moka Miyamoto. The first time limit draw then happened between Miyamoto and Suzume. In Overtime Suzume scored the 1-Count pin to move on. She then went to another draw this time against her own Daisy Monkey partner Arisu Endo. This time Suzume lost in Overtime and was out. It was all up to Mizuki to save the White Team and she did it by beating Endo. The Red Team’s final entrant Haru Kazashiro fought her to a draw but Mizuki pinned her with the Cutie Special in Overtime to win the match outright. The White Team’s prize included a luxery set of beef and chicken (in other words, red and white meat). Mizuki revealed backstage their team order was Suzuki’s idea so she got the credit for the White Team’s victory.

Ivy Steele earned her first victory in TJPW by beating Chika Nanase in the opening match. She was able to get past the Inari Torii and use a Pumphandle Slam to win.

There was an announcement of two TJPW shows being held in Nagoya at the end of March right before Arai graduates from SKE48. There will be a full wrestling show at Chunichi Hall on 29th March. Then on the 30th there will be a show containing only three matches but will also include an SKE48 concert. Arai will wrestle and perform in the concert on the 30th. Her SKE48 graduation will then happen on the 31st.

The Red and White teams have been decided for the TJPW RUSH match. Now it is up to the captains Shoko Nakajima and Mizuki to come up with their team orders based on how Kendo handles team competitions. From start to end the positions are Senpo, Jiho, Chuken, Fukusho and Taisho. Since this is a Gauntlet match there is a chance that it can end with some wrestlers on the winning team not even getting to take part. If that happens then the wrestlers who did not get to enter will be added into the Princess Rumble. Tokyo Joshi Pro wants to ensure that everybody booked on the show will get to wrestle on it.

Antonio Honda is the latest unexpected entry into the Princess Rumble. There are four spots remaining but they may be kept open for whoever gets potentially left out of the TJPW RUSH match. You never know if the match ends up with only one wrestler going on a clean sweep leaving the other four on the team waiting on the sidelines for nothing.

DDT “NEW YEAR☆DRAMATIC PARADE 2025 ~ANSWERS WILL BE REVEALED ONE YEAR LATER~”, 03/01/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. BZW Tag Team Titles: MAO & Yoshihiko (c) Vs Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda
2. Special Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & Jun Akiyama Vs Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya
3. KO-D Openweight Title Next Challenger 4 Way Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Shuji Ishikawa Vs HARASHIMA Vs KANON

A few days ago I mentioned Shuji Ishikawa’s appearance here could be a hint towards big things on the horizon for the Evolution Joshi group that he helps manages with Suwama. Yesterday it was announced that the group will soon become a fully fledged pro wrestling company called Pro Wrestling Evolution. They will mainly focus on their home grown roster of joshi wrestlers but Ishikawa and Suwama will also be providing men’s matches on their shows. Could Ishikawa be on a path to win the KO-D Openweight Title to bring some prestige into his new venture? He did that before with Union Pro so history might get a chance to repeat itself.

Last month in France MAO & Yoshihiko turned Banger Zone Wrestling upside down by winning the BZW Tag Team Titles. They don’t have a return date set in stone yet so for the time being they are going to defend the titles at DDT shows in Japan. Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda are joining forces to be their first challengers.

Three matches have been announced for TJPW’s convention show in Chile for AEX Santiago. They are sending over Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh, Moka Miyamoto and also Aja Kong as a bonus. Their opponents are all local luchadoras from the Chile wrestling scene. Zatara & Sara Phoenix are familiar with each other both as opponents and teammates. Roma has been in wrestling for just as long as those two. Pandora is the same age as Miyamoto and has a similar level of experience as her so on paper they should be on an equal footing.

Ittenyon Press Conference

December 17, 2024

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO JOSHI PRO ’25”, 04/01/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Shoko Nakajima Vs Hyper Misao
2. Yuka Sakazaki & Moka Miyamoto Vs Arisu Endo & Haru Kazashiro
3. International Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Suzume
4. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh (c) Vs Masha Slamovich & Zara Zakher
5. Princess Of Princess Title: Miu Watanabe (c) Vs Mizuki

A press conference was held yesterday for the contract signings of two of the title matches happening in Korakuen Hall on 4th January. Miu Watanabe and Mizuki’s battle over the Princess Of Princess Title is centered around their argument over who is the princess and who is the monster? Mizuki hasn’t held the Princess Title since 2023 so she is carrying a lot of different feelings going into the match. She has always been a true princess since the day she was born. Watanabe can call herself a princess but she is also a monster. The feeling is mutual because Watanabe is now saying Mizuki is the monster, not her!

Watanabe let everyone know that when she signed the contract for her Princess Title Match against Miyu Yamashita earlier this year her hand was shaking with nerves. Today however she signed the contract with confidence which shows how much she has grown as the champion. She knows how creating buzz leads to more exposure so she wants this to be a match that will catch everyone’s attention, which is why she gave Mizuki the Giant Swing on the ring apron over the weekend. She always wanted to be a princess because they have strong hearts. A princess is not a supporting character, she is meant to be the main character. That’s why she is trying to become the strongest princess.

Mizuki also said it is reassuring to have Yuka Sakazaki at the show. She feels Sakazaki really wants to keep an eye on Tokyo Joshi Pro while working hard on her own. It encourages Mizuki to shine a light just as bright as Sakazaki and Watanabe. She also explained she originally called Watanabe a monster as a compliment to her abilities but now Watanabe really is acting like a scary monster like in Beauty & The Beast! Watanabe then argued she is not the Beast, she is Belle! By the time Mizuki started accusing her of “princess harrassment” their section of the press conference came to an end.

Suzume is the latest wrestler from the 1998 Class to challenge Yuki Arai for the International Princess Title. She thinks the defences Arai had against Arisu Endo and Moka Miyamoto were amazing matches that made her feel left out. So when she got to wrestle in Seattle last month she took in the entire experience to broaden her perspective. It reminded her there are people from all over the world who support TJPW and it makes her want to spread the love even further. The best way to do that is win the IP Title. Arai has had a fulfilling title reign but the one thing missing from it is she hasn’t gotten to wrestle outside of Japan yet. She feels that she cannot lose the title to Suzume, not when she has her SKE48 graduation coming up at the en of March.

They both think of each other as rivals. Suzume joked about Arai being her senpai because Arai originally got into wrestling before her. However Arai thinks Suzume is the senpai because her way of wrestling is very straightforward, which Arai is envious of. She’s an opponent that can get Arai really fired up to fight. Suzume has been cultivating the skills over time to fight against bigger opponents so she is not worried about having a size disadvantage. She’s grown physically and mentally since their last singles match from the Tokyo Princess Cup. Arai is confident she will earn another successful title defence in her record breaking reign but she knows she will have to be careful to get it done.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WINTER STORY” Results

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WINTER STORY”, 14/12/2024
Yokohama Radiant Hall
223 Fans

1. Suzume defeated Uta Takami with the Ring A Bell (6:28).
2. Yuki Kamifuku & Haruna Neko defeated Raku & Chika Nanase when Neko pinned Nanase with the Nekodebreaker (8:17).
3. Rika Tatsumi & Moka Miyamoto defeated Arisu Endo & Ivy Steele when Miyamoto submitted Steele with the Rashomon (10:42).
4. Hyper Misao defeated Yoshiko Hasegawa with the Hypami Returns (9:47).
5. Pom Harajuku defeated HIMAWARI with the Pom de Justice (7:32).
6. Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Kaya Toribami when Yamashita pinned Toribami with the Attitude Adjustment (12:45).
7. Miu Watanabe, Haru Kazashiro & Toga defeated Mizuki, Wakana Uehara & Shino Suzuki when Watanabe pinned Suzuki with the Tear Drop (13:24).

Miu Watanabe is winning the battle against Mizuki but is there something she can’t stop thinking about that will lose her the war? She showed her monstrous strength in the main event by giving Mizuki the Giant Swing on the ring apron. She later gave both Mizuki & Shino Suzuki a stacked Tear Drop over her shoulder. Toga & Haru Kazashiro were also able to show off how well they are becoming as a team. The three of them were the winners but Watanabe couldn’t help but ask them to assure everyone in Yokohama that she is a super cute princess. Backstage Watanabe said she wants today’s Giant Swing to go viral so many more people will watch the Princess Of Princess Title match on 4th January. Mizuki was suprised by the Giant Swing through the ropes. It was something she couldn’t predict. She called Watanabe a one woman Beauty & The Beast because she looks like a princess but has the shadow of a monster!

The clumsiness of Mahiro Kiryu actually helped her team win. She was knocked prone late in the match and Kaya Toribami tripped over her while she dodged Miyu Yamashita’s High Kick. Toribami bounced off the ropes and stumbled over Kiryu again right into Yamashita’s arms for the Attitude Adjustment that ended the match.

The all conquering Pom Harajuku returned to Tokyo Joshi Pro with the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title (that she dropped by accident during her ring entrance). She also wore homemade headwear to look like a sunflower because HIMAWARI was her opponent today. HIMAWARI didn’t get the joke. Harajuku won the match and knows Matcha is on her way to try and take the title back from her. Harajuku said the belt belongs to her and she won’t lose!

While Hyper Misao was away with an injury, she missed her chance to welcome Yoshiko Hasegawa to TJPW. So today she got to tell her how happy she is that out of all of the joshi wrestling promotions out there, Hasegawa chose to join TJPW. She gave her the microphone to speak but then attacked Hasegawa from behind and choked her with the microphone cord. Hasegawa tried her best to fight back but Misao kept finding tricks to counter her until she won the match. She was being genuine about welcoming Hasegawa to TJPW though. She encouraged her to enjoy a fun wrestling life as a member of the company.

Misao then talked about the current state of TJPW, believing the group’s power level is reaching MAX status with the recent additions to the roster. TJPW will be facing DDT in a 6-Man Tag Match at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2024” on 28th December and she thinks her team will definitely win. Suddenly Super Sasadango Machine made and appearance and entered the ring carrying a bag. He told Misao that DDT is filled with bad behavior but when you remove the hard shell there is a fluffiness to be found beneath it. He came here today to negotiate a peaceful settlement between DDT and TJPW. He brought with him a bag of luxury chocolate from Niigata for Misao. She can have it if the TJPW team cancels the match at Sumo Hall so no one will have to watch DDT tear them apart. While Misao was considering the offer, Rika Tatsumi got into the ring and choked Sasadango! Misao joined in the attack and the two of them told Sasadango that public bribery is a violation of the rules! They decline his offer and TJPW will beat DDT at Sumo Hall! They then walked off with the bag of chocolate.

When Sasadango recovered from the attack he got on the microphone and complained to Tetsuya Koda about the behavior of his wrestlers. Sasadango was humiliated and he will make Koda take responsibility for it. He suddenly attacked Koda and promised to humiliate TJPW at Sumo Hall! Tatsumi & Misao ran back down to chase Sasadango away and literally slap Koda back to life. They still kept the chocolate because it would have been rude not to accept it. Sasadango told reporters this is now a company-to-company issue between DDT and TJPW.

The first three teams entering the 2025 Max Heart Tournament were announced. They are Kyoraku Kyomei (Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao), Daisy Monkey (Suzume & Arisu Endo) and Pompaler (Pom Harajuku & Max The Impaler). Nine other teams will enter the tournament in January for a total of twelve teams taking part.

The show began with the draw for all of the singles matches taking place on 21st December. The ten matches will each have a 7 minute time limit. They are Moka Miyamoto Vs Ivy Steele, Shino Suzuki Vs Raku, Miyu Yamashita Vs Mizuki, Rika Tatsumi Vs Shoko Nakajima, Chika Nanase Vs Uta Takami, Maki Itoh Vs Toga, Mahiro Kiryu Vs Yoshiko Hasegawa, Yuki Kamifuku Vs Yuki Aino, Haruna Neko Vs Wakana Uehara and Hyper Misao Vs Haru Kazashiro.
