BASARA “FUMA FEST VOL.1 ～WRESTLE ’EM ALL～”, 09/12/2017
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
238 Fans – No Vacancy

1. Nakatsu Dickinson defeated Takato Nakano with the Powerslave (8:43).
2. Jinbeizamen defeated Yngwie “SAGA” Malmsteen with the Buzzsaw Kick (7:03).
3. Rock ‘N Roll Cowboys Sudden Hell Match: Ricky Fuji Vs Ryuselmo Sekine ended in a Time Limit Draw (666 seconds).
4. Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto defeated Yusuke Kubo & Hagane when Miyamoto pinned Kubo with the Moonsault (10:25).
5. Goregrind Match: Jun Kasai defeated FUMA with the Pearl Harbor Splash (18:27).

The Goregrind Match featured electric guitars, a drum set, a ladder and lighttubes placed around the ring. Jun Kasai headbutted the lighttubes into FUMA then gave him the Reverse Tiger Driver and the Pearl Harbor Splash to win. Kasai had fun but got on the audience’s bad side when he said he doesn’t know much about heavy metal music. He invited FUMA over to FREEDOMS for a match some day. FUMA was happy with how the event turned out and said “FUMA FEST is forever immortal!”

The Rock ‘N Roll Cowboys Sudden Hell Match allegedly comes from Texas. To win the match you have to pin your opponent for one second then perfectly sing a rock song. However there is a 666 second time limit and neither Ricky Fuji or Ryuselmo Sekine could complete the task in time.

Nakatsu Dickinson, Yngwie “SAGA” Malmsteen and Ryuselmo Sekine were all introduced as a distant relatives of famous heavy metal musicians.

Heavy metal comedian Hashiyama Maiden hosted the show and did a skit before the main event where he headbanged next to a metal fan and got his long hair entangled in it.

10. Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai – Final: X Vs X

Isami Kodaka had a few more surprises left for the Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai. Colt Cabana and Ayako Hamada are late additions to the tournament. Hamada accepted the invitation so late that she never knew about the tournament’s gimmick until she visited Kodaka to confirm her involvement. She’s disappointed that she won’t be able to wrestle a normal match unless she reaches the final.

What are those rules? There will be no ring ropes attached for the matches in Rounds 1 and 2. Victory can be achieved by pinfall, submission or ring out. The ropes will be attached for the semi-finals but the ring out rule will still be in effect. The final will be a regular match with no countouts.

5. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title – Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs DAMNATION Full Battle PART 3 ~Bet On All~: Daisuke Sasaki (c) Vs Ken Ohka

There is bitter sweet news coming from the Ganbare☆Wrestling roster. A rookie named Mao Hoshino is ready to have her debut wrestling match. Unfortunately it is also going to be her retirement match. Hoshino was born on 27th April, 1987. She is 164cm tall, weighs 65kg and her previous athletic history is in swimming. Hoshino participated in the same tryouts that Nanaka Kawamura graduated from earlier this year. She spent a year training in DDT’s wrestling classes and wanted to wrestle in Ganpuro after watching their shows. However her parents are fiercely against her decision to become a pro wrestler. After consulting with Ken Ohka, Hoshino agreed not to pursue a wrestling career but she will wrestle one match so all of her training will not be for nothing. Her trainer Cherry will be her opponent. Hoshino is frustrated by the situation and she wants to show all of her feelings in the ring.

FUMA will also be performing vocals for Dragon’s Den during the concert portion of the show.

Jinbeizamen will be coming out to a cover of the Accept song “Fast As A Shark” performed by Crucified.

4. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title – Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs DAMNATION Full Battle PART 3 ~Bet On All~: Daisuke Sasaki (c) Vs Ken Ohka

It’s reached the point where it is all or nothing for Ken Ohka and Ganbare☆Wrestling. He is willing to put everything on the line against Daisuke Sasaki to win back the Independent Jr. Title. His marriage, his family, his remaining wealth and Ganpuro itself are all at risk! But a gamble this big against an opponent so uncaring has caught the attention of the rest of DAMNATION so now they are coming along for the ride!

Sumire Natsu has beaten HARUKAZE in two straight matches but both wins were under shady circumstances. Natsu only accepted one more rematch when she made Ohka pay for her bullet train tickets to and from the show. Also if Natsu wins then she will replace HARUKAZE as the regular women’s wrestler on the Ganpuro roster. Ohka has gotten his own little dig in against Natsu by giving her the nickname “Shabby Thick Makeup”.

1. Akiyori Takizawa defeated Takato Nakano with the Sleng Teng (8:04).

6. Union MAX Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Isamuashi Ki (18:56).
*V1 for Isami Kodaka.

Ryuichi Sekine prepared himself for a today to be special. He was in proper wrestling gear, had his hair freshly dyed blonde and had his sights set on winning the Union MAX Title. Sadly for him Isami Kodaka had other ideas. The one move Sekine had that could definitely beat Kodaka was the Let’s Combine Crab Hold but Kodaka was able to either reach the ropes or avoid the move entirely. Sekine tried to combat Kodaka’s Isamuashi kicks with his own Middle Kicks but the champion would not be beaten. Both wrestlers were spent after the match but agreed that they had a fun match together. Kodaka announced his next title defence will take place in March next year. He was then interrupted by a voice asking “Can I be a bit greedy?” The voice was Fuminori Abe and he entered the ring. He said during his time here in BASARA he had wanted to test himself and find out how pure a wrestler he can be. He now wants a singles match with Kodaka to discover how far he has progressed although he was hesitant to ask until now. Kodaka asked Abe if he is certain he could beat him. Abe said he is. Kodaka accepted Abe’s challenge and decided he will put the MAX Title on the line against him on 14th December. Abe then pulled out an envelope. It was an invitation letter for the upcoming Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai tournament. He confessed that he stole it from Kodaka’s luggage while Kodaka went out for a smoke earlier. Abe wanted three things: a singles match with Kodaka, a Union MAX Title match and a place in the Budokai tournament. Kodaka promised to fulfill all three requests for Abe.

The 6-Man Tag was a battle between BASARA and HEAT-UP. It broke down to where Daichi Kazato and Kazuhiro Tamura were the ones left in the ring. Kazato had Tamura beaten with the Sister Abigail when Fuminori Abe broke up the pin and trapped Kazato in an Octopus Hold. Kazato submitted, making the HEAT-UP team the winners. Both Takumi Tsukamoto and Kazato were frustrated by the loss and both said the HEAT-UP wrestlers have no guts. Tsukamoto is also annoyed that HEAT-UP might be selling more posters than BASARA at shows.

Early on in the Ryota Nakatsu Vs Minoru Tanaka match, Tanaka threatened to break Nakatsu’s hobby horse. Other than that the two had a serious match. Tanaka escaped from Nakatsu’s Cross Armbreaker and countered with a Jumping High Kick. Nakatsu still showed life after taking a Tiger Suplex and some Buzzsaw Kicks but was down and out after Tanaka gave him the B“D”F Diving Foot Stomp.

Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi seems to be turning over a new leaf since he lost the Union MAX Title. He hugged the referee Yuya Okada at the start of his match because it was so long since he last saw him. He also wished FUMA a “Merry Christmas” after Body Slamming him. Even though he and SAGAT lost the match to IRON PRIEST, he was still happy to see FUMA & Yusuke Kubo again too. He said the Trans-Am ★ Family and IRON PRIEST have been fighting each other all year so it was time for them to let bygones be bygones and shake hands. SAGAT pulled his hand back and shouted “Woooooo!” thinking Ryuichi would do the same but he was on his own. Ryuichi punched SAGAT for misbehaving and they then did the Heavy Metal hand signs with IRON PRIEST.

The reputation of Guts Ishijima and his Guts World promotion were put up to questioning by Gouma Ryu and Atsushi Maruyama and their court of law. Maruyama accused Ishijima of defying the Labour Standards Act by forcing his workers to have a pro wrestling mentality. Maruyama’s evidence was Daisuke retiring and Toshihiko Yoshino leaving the promotion. Ryu’s defence of Guts World was “It’s a nice group.” He asked Takumi Tsukamoto what he thought of the company because he wrestled there before. Tsukamoto said he wanted to quit. Yasu Urano gave a similar answer when he was asked the question. Ishijima described his post-show antics as “Showa Style” and it involved eating and drinking until they threw up. Fuminori Abe was asked about those drinking parties and he said he couldn’t remember much outside of losing his wallet. Ishijima invited both Ryu and Maruyama to wrestle at a Guts World show. They all shook hands until Ryu and Maruyama attacked Ishijima. He fought them off with a Double Lariat and then pinned Maruyama with the Facebuster. Judge Kyohei Wada declared Ishijima was innocent.

Akiyori Takizawa came here from ASUKA PROJECT for a rematch against Takato Nakano. Their previous match took place earler this month and just like then, Takizawa won the match. This time Takizawa used a Reverse Double Chickenwing submission called the Sleng Teng to make Nakano give up.

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Gouma Ryu read through the line up of wrestlers entering the 3rd Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai tournament being held in Korakuen Hall on 28th December. The entries so far include Yasu Urano, Isami Kodaka. Naoki Tanizaki, Yuko Miyamoto, Riho and Hideki Suzuki. Fuminori Abe would take a spot later in the show as already mentioned above.

BASARA “VAJRA 52 ~OSAKA WINTER CLUB FLOWER~” Results

November 19, 2017

BASARA “VAJRA 52 ~OSAKA WINTER CLUB FLOWER~”, 19/11/2017
Osaka City Tsurumi Greenland Hanamizuki Hall
242 Fans

1. Yuki Aoki defeated Takato Nakano with the Lightning Spiral (9:13).
2. No Tag Rules: Tsubasa & Billy Ken Kid defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Daichi Kazato when Kid pinned Kazato with La España (13:59).
3. Hardcore Match: Naoki Tanizaki defeated SAGAT with the Chair Assisted Casanova (12:19).
4. FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & HUB defeated Yasu Urano, Shinya Ishida & Fuminori Abe when HUB pinned Abe with the Deadly Poison Hub Bomb (18:03).
5. Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Isami Kodaka & Masamune when Sekine submitted Masamune with the Let’s Combine (16:55).

One week away from their Union MAX Title match, Ryuichi Sekine sent his most powerful warning yet to Isami Kodaka by making him submit to the Let’s Combine! Sekine got the hold on Kodaka when he countered a Frankensteiner and then dragged him to the centre of the ring. Ryota Nakatsu held Masamune back to prevent him from breaking the hold, causing Kodaka to finally give up. Sekine told Kodaka he will crush him again at the title match but he still wants a fair and confident fight from the champion. Kodaka tried to brush off today’s defeat by saying he’s only suffering from a little backache. Next time he will kill Sekine!

FUMA is in a great mood because Osaka’s biggest heavy metal festival is taking place this month. Then next month his own “FUMA FEST” will take place in Tokyo.

There were plenty of chairs and steel cans used in the Hardcore Match.

All four wrestlers in Match #2 agreed to do a tag team match without the need for physically tagging in their partners.

Yuki Aoki from Dove Pro was victorious in his BASARA debut, putting Takato Nakano away with a Fisherman Buster followed by the Lightning Spiral.

The pre-show announcements that are normally handled by Gouma Ryu were instead done by Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi today because Ryu was busy with lawyer work.

Daisuke Sasaki wants to defend his title against TAKA Michinoku but DDT’s schedule is currently preventing that from happening. Tominaga wants to prove that his low tier status will not hold him back from beating Sasaki and becoming a champion.

The Ganbare masked man tryouts are moving on to a second audition after the first failed horribly. Yukihiro Abe is getting a second chance as Ganbare The Akihabara. Joining him is Ganbare The Power, presumably Chikara.

While he enjoyed wrestling, Suzuki feels a stronger desire to work for social services and decided to put his focus on that as his career. Suzuki wants his retirement match to be against Ken Ohka because he is an inspiration to him. There was a time before Suzuki debuted in DNA where he got injured and by coincidence met Ohka in the same hospital. Ohka gave him the following advice: “I do not know how hard I can go, but I will still work hard.” Those words stuck with Suzuki and has motivated him ever since.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SMILE YES SHINJUKU”, 23/11/2017
Shinjuku FACE

2. Maki Ito & Mizuki Vs Nodoka-oneesan & Marika Kobashi
3. Hyper Misao Return Match: Hyper Misao Vs Rika Tatsumi
4. Saki-sama Vs Azusa Takigawa
5. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Nonoko & Yuna Manase
6. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title Next Challenger & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Yuu (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita

The No. 1 Contendership for the TOKYO Princess Title will be between Miyu Yamashita and Yuu. If Yuu is still the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion then that belt will be on the line too. Their only previous singles match took place in September 2016 when Yuu beat Yamashita to win the Princess Title. Yamashita has promised to attack, attack, attack and attack to avenge her loss.

The Miraclians are not taking their first challengers lightly. Yuka Sakazaki lost to the Super Milk Combination in a non-title tag match last week. She sees them as a giant gate to climb over. Shoko Nakajima also knows that the challengers’ team name is not a gag, it’s a description of their strength. Nonoko & Yuna Manase want to use their big chests to overpower the champion team’s speed and technical abilities.

Hyper Misao is back in action after an ACL and meniscus surgery took her out of action for over 10 months. Her debut match took place in Shinjuku FACE so her return match in the same venue feels like a re-debut. Rika Tatsumi is her chosen opponent. They went to see the movie “IT” together recently and Tatsumi had to restrain herself from figuring out what Misao’s match strategy will be.

No word yet on if the main event will be for the Indy World Jr. Title. I expect so if Sasaki beats Diego. Shinichiro Tominaga deserves it after his Amateurs Vs Professionals comparison at the last show.

It’s a Toryumon reunion of sorts for Ken Ohka’s 16th Anniversary.

BASARA “VAJRA 51 ~FEAST~” Results

November 3, 2017

BASARA “VAJRA 51 ~FEAST~”, 03/11/2017
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
232 Fans – No Vacancy

1. Akiyori Takizara defeated Takato Nakano with a Jorge Clutch (7:21).
2. Reversal Pro Wrestling Trial: Gouma Ryu defeated Kuishinbo Kamen and Atsushi Matsuyama when Ryu pinned Matsuyama (7:06).
3. Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano defeated Masamune & Daichi Kazato when Tsukamoto pinned Kazato with the Zudon (15:01).
4. Hardcore Match: Masaya Takahashi defeated SAGAT with the Jackhammer (14:00).
5. Ryuichi Sekine, Ryota Nakatsu & Koji Iwamoto defeated FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & Hagane when Sekine submitted Kubo with the Let’s Combine (15:28).
6. Daisuke Retirement Road: Isami Kodaka defeated Daisuke with the Isamuashi Zan (15:18).

In one month’s time, Guts World wrestler Daisuke will be retiring from pro wrestling. As a gift, BASARA offered him a match against Isami Kodaka for the first and only time in both of their careers. Both put their full effort into the match and at one point it was at risk of ending in a double KO countout but Kodaka and Daisuke both stood up at nine. Daisuke kicked out of the Diving Double Knee Drop and focused on hitting the Sliding D to win. Kodaka avoided it a couple of times including a counter into the European Clutch for a nearfall. Kodaka ducked a Lariat and threw Daisuke over with an Exploder Suplex. The Isamuashi Zan afterwards ended the match with Kodaka as the winner. Kodaka asked Daisuke why was he retiring because Kodaka didn’t want the match to end. Daisuke told him that he wants to go out at the end of his career with a crazy death. Kodaka called Daisuke a wonderful pro wrestler and he appreciates him coming to BASARA. The two celebrated by drinking beer in the ring to close out the show.

The original Cavalry trio were together for the first time in a while. Ryuichi Sekine, Ryota Nakatsu & Koji Iwamoto all did their Cavalry entrance together for the occasion. Their day went even better when they defeated IRON PRIEST. Sekine continues to win his matches with the Let’s Combine. It was the boost of momentum he needed on the road to his Union MAX Title shot.

Masaya Takahashi wrestled once before in BASARA back in June but today was his first singles match in the promotion. He and SAGAT bashed each other with chairs and steel cans until Takahashi won with a Jackhammer.
