1. Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Soma Takao & Kouki Iwasaki when Sekine pinned Iwasaki with the Ryusetsu (13:44).
2. Tokyo Joshi Pro Offer Match: Shoko Nakajima & Yuu defeated Miyu Yamashita & Nodoka-oneesan when Yuu submitted Nodoka with a Cross Armbreaker (10:12).
3. Obi-chan Boss, Again – 4 Way Match: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Akito, Cherry and Sayaka Obihiro when Hiroshi pinned Cheery with the Spring Night Love Cutback (10:35).
4. BASARA Vs Shuten-dōji: Yukio Sakaguchi, Masahiro Takanashi & Kota Umeda defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, SAGAT & Hi69 when Sakaguchi submitted SAGAT with the Cobra Clutch (14:43).
5. Special Single Match: Isami Kodaka defeated Mike Bailey with the Isamuashi Zan (15:35).

Speedball has arrived in Japan but Isami Kodaka was there and ready for him. Mike Bailey won over the crowd with his abilities but in the end couldn’t beat Kodaka. Bailey hit the Cancun Tornado, the Fosbury Flop and the Moonsault Knee Press but Kodaka fired back outside the ring with a Diving Double Knee Drop from the bleachers. Bailey came back with an Asai DDT but missed the Shooting Star Double Knee Drop afterwards. Isami went for a pin after a Vertical Drop Brainbuster but Bailey kicked out at one! Kodaka hit the Zeyyari but Bailey hit back with a High Kick to show he still had life left. Kodaka regained control with a low angle German Suplex and knocked Bailey down for the count with the Isamuashi Zan. Kodaka said he had only previously seen Bailey in videos but he was amazing in his first match in Japan. Bailey thanked Kodaka for the match and then thanked the fans for the warm welcome. They then held a toast together to end the show.

All of Shuten-dōji were in attendance for the group’s match against wrestlers from BASARA. KUDO was in his group’s corner for the match. Afterwards Shuten-dōji promoted their show for Beer Garden next month and KUDO reminded everyone of his return at Sumo Hall.

2. Reverse Wrestling Court: Hi69 defeated Ryu Gouma and Atsushi Maruyama when Hi69 pinned both Gouma and Maruyama with the Stuka Splash (11:13).
*Hi69 is not guilty.
3. Chain Match: Yusuke Kubo defeated SAGAT by Referee Stoppage with a Chain-Assisted Camel Clutch (12:38).
4. TLC Match: FUMA defeated Takumi Tsukamoto with the Heavy Metal Anthem (13:35).
5. Special Tag Match: Isami Kodaka & Masamune defeated Kengo Mashimo & Madoka when Kodaka pinned Madoka with the Zeyyari (16:53).
6. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Perfect Plex (15:12).

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s claim of being the best wrestler, “foriegn” or otherwise in BASARA stays intact with a win over Ryuichi Sekine. Hiroshi mentioned this was his fifth singles match with Sekine and his first victory against him.

Kengo Mashimo had to be held back from Isami Kodaka after their tag match. Mashimo yelled that it wasn’t over between them two. Kodaka said he was holding the 2nd ever Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai tournament on 28th September and he wants Mashimo to enter. Mashimo considered but when he found out Daisuke Sekimoto and Yasu Urano were also entering he accepted the invitation.

The feud between Tsukasaga Army and the Kotetsu Gundan came to a conclusion with two different hardcore matches. Kotetsu Gundan came out on top of both bouts to definitively win the feud. In the Chain Match Yusuke Kubo choked out SAGAT with the chain, forcing the referee to call for the bell. Although the unit feud is over, the rivalry between these two may return in the future. FUMA then defeated Takumi Tsukamoto in a TLC Match. Tsukamoto admitted defeat and called FUMA a strong wrestler even if his heavy metal antics get in the way. FUMA then began to ramble on about instrumental songs and how they emit a melody of sorrow without the need for words. He offered a truce to Tsukamoto. Together they can be comrades united by hearts made out of the same steel. Tsukamoto called himself the Ballad Fighter and gave the heavy metal hand sign. Backstage, Tsukamoto and Kubo announced the official name of their unit. Gone is Kotetsu Gundan, now they are IRON PRIEST!

In his quest to become the BASARA ace, Ryuichi Sekine refuses to accept Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi as the true winner of Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~. Hiroshi thinks Sekine is just jealous that the greatest “foreign” wrestler in the company won the tournament.

SAGAT demanded his match with Yusuke Kubo to be a Chain Match. The reason for this is important. SAGAT often used a chain on his enemies back when he was part of the King Legion stable in Union. The same stable FUMA was the leader of.

After an intense period of negotiations Ganbare☆Wrestling will soon hold its first show in Korakuen Hall this October! Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari yesterday streamed live on Nico Douga their meeting with the Korakuen manager to book their show. Ohka originally wanted to hold the show on a Sunday but was told every Sunday is booked out for the rest of the year. He was offered Noon on a Saturday but Ohka begged and pleaded with the manager to find him a Sunday spot. The manager discovered there was a cancellation for 2nd October so that day became available. Ohka handed over 500,000 yen to pay for the deposit but was told he was 50,000 yen short. Imanari had another 20,000 and they eventually convinced the reporter and photographer who accompanied them to cough up the remaining cash. That was enough to confirm the spot, noon on 2nd October!

Saitama Wrestle Fighter Museum

1. FUMA Vs SAGAT
2. Takumi Tsukamoto Vs Yusuke Kubo
3. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Tsutomu Oosugi Vs Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu

Isami Kodaka made an unexpected decision to pull himself from this show. He has decided to take some time off after failing to win the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ tournament. Taking his place is a blast from the past, MC.33 (pronounced MC Sammy). This is a masked wrestler who appeared on the CRUSIER’S GAME brand during the mid-2000s. Kodaka describes him as a legend and is excited to see him in BASARA.

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi is using his prize winnings from Heaven Summit to fund the return of U.S.A. The brand will takeover one of the Tavern Wrestling tripleshot shows at the beginning of August, specifically the show held on 2nd August.

3. Hardcore Match: FUMA & Takumi Tsukamoto

The feud between Tsukasaga Army and Kotetsu Gundan continues with several singles matches between the two sides. In Saitama it is just regular singles matches but afterwards in Shin-Kiba the matches will become Hardcore.

Ryuichi Sekine now has Hiroshi in his sights. Sekine wants to be the ace of BASARA so obviously the Heaven Summit winner and conqueror of Isami Kodaka is his next target.

5. Drop Kick Vs Ebisuko Tavern Entire Surface Of Strife Extra Chapter!: Isami Kodaka & Tetsuya Endo defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Kouki Iwasaki when Endo pinned Iwasaki with the Sky Twister Press (16:53).

The main event included a No Touch rule allowing wrestlers to tag in without making physical contact with their tag partners. Isami Kodaka used hits to his advantage when he ducked a Clothesline from Kouki Iwasaki and then immediately dove out of the ring onto Kazusada Higuchi. Tetsuya Endo then attacked Iwasaki and finished him with the Sky Twister Press. Endo celebrated a successful defence of his Right To Challenge contract with some drinks.

The 3 Way Match began with Shunma Katsumata and Sayaka Obihiro testing each other’s strength with Hand Sumo. Antonio Honda couldn’t participate and began to cry over being left out. Katsumata and Obihiro grabbed each of Honda’s hands so he could be included then both him in the chest. Honda shrugged off the blows and pointed at both of them shouting “You!” He then attacked his opponents with Southern style Jabs. The three traded pinning combinations until Honda got the three count over Katsumata. Obihiro described her first appearance for Tavern Wrestling as a frenzy and a good experience.

In the latest battle between DDT’s eating establishments the Drop Kick Bar was victorious over Ebisuko Tavern. Ryuichi Sekine was the dominant member of the Drop Kick team, playing a part in eliminating 3 of the 4 opponents. Gota Ihashi had Kazusada Higuchi to rely on until Sekine Dropkicked him to the floor for an elimination. Ihashi finally got rid of Sekine when he ducked a Clothesline from Akito that hit Sekine instead. Ihashi tried to do what he could against Akito including a missed Moonsault but kept getting trapped in submission holds until he finally gave up to a Figure Four Leg Lock. After the match most of the wrestlers shook hands. The only exception was Kota Umeda towards Isami Kodaka.

Ryota Nakatsu is so far undefeated in the Heaven Summit tournament, winning his first two matches. SAGAT meanwhile is winless with one match left. He cannot understand why he is going through a losing streak.

Ryu Gouma lost the last of his Heaven Summit matches, ending his run with zero points. This time he lost the match by pinfall instead of countout. Because of this Gouma is now throwing his full support behind Hiroshi Fukuda to win the tournament.

The next Tavern Wrestling event will take place in July. There will also be three shows taking place on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd August.

5. Hardcore Cage 6-Man Tag Team Match: Isami Kodaka, Takumi Tsukamoto & Daichi Kazato defeated FUMA, Madoka & Yusuke Kubo when Kodaka pinned FUMA with the Diving Double Knee Drop from the cage (24:50).

BASARA and Kotetsu Gundan went to war in a 6-Man Tag Cage Match. The rules were two members of a team had to escape the cage and the remaining member needed to pin, submit or knock out an opponent to win the match. Kyohei Wada was the man put in charge of the match as all 6 wrestlers entered the cage. Kotetsu Gundan started off in control when Madoka attacked Isami Kodaka with a bamboo sword while his team mates threw their opponents into the cage. Madoka quickly tried to escape but was told to come back down by Yusuke Kubo because it was too early to stop beating up their enemies. Kodaka grabbed the bamboo sword and fired back at the Kotetsu team. Takumi Tsukamoto’s Superplex to Madoka was blocked but when Madoka followed up with a Missile Dropkick he was whacked in mid-air with a massive hammer. Tsukamoto took the opportunity to be the first wrestler to escape the cage. Kotetsu Gundan regained control because of the numbers advantage. Madoka gave Daichi Kazato a Fire Thunder onto a table. It didn’t break but Madoka didn’t care. He escaped the cage to make it 4 wrestlers left in the ring. Kazato was next to climb the cage but took a moment to decide if he should escape or Moonsault back onto everyone in the cage. Kazato went with the Moonsault and hit his target. Even better, Kazato had enough time to recover and crawl out of the cage through the door. Kodaka was the last man on his team so he couldn’t escape to win. FUMA ordered Kubo to escape the cage while he held Kodaka back. So the final stage of the match was between Kodaka and FUMA. FUMA went for the Heavy Metal Hammer but Kodaka surprised him by smashing Madoka’s ukulele over his head. Kodaka placed a ladder on top of FUMA and hit the Diving Double Knee Drop but it left him in great pain. FUMA hit the Heavy Metal Hammer and the Heavy Metal Anthem but Kodaka would not stay down. Kodaka climbed to the top of the cage and hit the Diving Double Knee Drop on FUMA and that was enough to end the match. Afterwards Kodaka told Madoka he would reimburse him for the ukulele he broke. He was told the ukulele cost 30,000 yen and in response said he might have to take money out of the upcoming tournament prize to pay for it. A defeated FUMA told Kodaka “You are also metal!” Kodaka didn’t take that as a compliment and flipped FUMA a middle finger. He then climbed the turnbuckle and did the Diving Double Knee Drop onto the unbroken table. He isn’t metal, he’s hardcore!

Kodaka invited Masamune to team with him on the 3rd May show in Miyagi.

MEN’S Teioh returned to his Terry Boy persona for a Hardcore Match with Hiroshi Fukuda. Despite the special occasion Fukuda did not hold back and busted open Terry after an ambush belt attack. Fukuda did the Perfect Plex off of a ladder but Terry kicked out of the pin. Terry used the ladder himself to give Fukuda the Calf Branding and then submitted him with the Spinning Toe Hold.

BASARA announced its first tournament called Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~. It is a round robin tournament with two blocks of five wrestlers each. The winners of both groups will face each other in the final with 500,000 yen as the grand prize. The money comes from Kodaka’s savings apparently. Block A has Isami Kodaka, Ryuichi Sekine, Ryota Nakatsu, SAGAT and Yusuke Kubo. Block B has FUMA, Takumi Tsukamoto, Daichi Kazato, Ryu Gouma and Hiroshi Fukuda. The tournament begins on 1st May and ends on 23rd June.

The Tavern Wrestling crowd got their money’s worth with Isami Kodaka Vs Akito going the full 30 minutes. Akito said he was happy to fight the champion to a draw. Kodaka then announced that Akito will begin working for the Dropkick Bar this month. He joked that Mic Inoue was the only decent human working there and he left to work for the new SWANDIVE bar. Dropkick Bar is now a dangerous place without him so Akito will come in as the deputy manager.

Hiroshi Fukuda made a promise to his Happy Motel team mates that he and SAGAT would fight them fair and square. He told them about his new special technique called the Space SAGAT Torpedo. That was the cue for a surprise attack but the New Gen Combo were ready for them. Fukuda kept trying to set up the Space SAGAT Torpedo with his partner but was cut off every time. He was eventually put away with Tetsuya Endo’s Torture Rack Bomb.

Danshoku Dino came to Tavern Wrestling with a purpose. He wanted to collect Ryota Nakatsu’s ass for his upcoming match with Akebono. Nakatsu agreed to put his ass on the line but only if they fight in a Heian-kyō Death Match. The rule is if a wrestler commits a foul he must be punished by getting hit in the ass with a baseball bat. This is based on a trend in Niigata that’s gone viral where tourists pose with a statue of a baseball player and pretend they are being hit in the ass with the statue’s bat (Google ケツバット and click on images). Dino immediately fouled Nakatsu by applying a Danshoku Claw Hold and had to be punished. Nakatsu then commited a foul by refusing to let go of a Sleeper Hold when Dino grabbed the ropes. More fouls were called for Nakatsu accidentaly knocking over the referee and Dino applying the Lip Lock on the ref. When the ref recovered Dino and Nakatsu were fighting over the baseball bat. Nakatsu pulled it away and took a swing. Dino ducked and the ref got hit! The ref had enough and disqualified both wrestlers for their constant fouling.
