This was Yuna Manase’s second chance at becoming the first woman to win a Spirit Of Ganbare Championship. She is now also the second woman Masaaki Mochizuki ever had a singles match against, the first being Sakura Hirota twelve years ago. He wasn’t comfortable at first having to fight Manase but took her seriously when she went on the attack from the start of the match. Manase was able to kick out of the Twister but was pretty much out on her feet so Mochizuki finished her off with the Shin Saikyou High Kick (right leg instead of the left leg). He told her afterwards she doesn’t need to say anything about the match because everyone who came to see it understood it very well. He’s now starting to love wrestling in Ganbare☆Pro because of how fun it is and looks forward to facing his next challenger. He then helped walk Manase out of the ring and back to the locker room. Backstage Manase said she just had a championship match against Masaaki Mochizuki so she can absolutely call herself a pro wrestler and be proud of it.

At the end of the show Ken Ohka approached Michiyoshi Mishima and begged for the next Spirit Of Ganbare Title shot so he can do his part to protect GanPro. He also thinks as the founder of the company it would be fitting if he was the one to beat Mochizuki for the title. Mishima said if Mochizuki will agree to it, he will put the match together. When Mochizuki learned of the idea, he pointed out that Ohka couldn’t beat Shuichiro Katsumura in the previous No. 1 Contender match. But he accepts the challenge and is confident he will beat Ohka in five minutes. GanPro is trying to get the match booked for their 29th November show in Tokyo but they are aware that Dragon Gate also has a show taking place in Okinawa that day.

Ohka had a chance on this show to win the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles but it didn’t turn out that way in the end. Choun Shiryu did a big stunt dive from the top of a wall onto Ryota Nakatsu & Takumi Tsukamoto but back in the ring Ohka accidentally hit him with the Flame Spear. Nakatsu took advantage and clamped a Rear Naked Choke onto Shiryu until the referee decided to stop the match. The BASARA team then found out who is next to challenge them. YuuRI came out and said she doesn’t want to be confined to the Ganbare☆Joshi division so she is challenging them to a title match! When it was pointed out that she doesn’t have a partner, Katsumura joined her side and said a tomboy like YuuRI needs a guardian like himself. The title match will go ahead on 29th November.

The reason why YuuRI made that challenge is because she is currently riding on a big confidence boost. That was caused by her announcement earlier in the show that she will be facing Sareee at Korakuen Hall on 27th December! The match will celebrate YuuRI’s 5th Anniversary in wrestling and she promises it won’t just be a dream match. She will use everything she has accumulated in the last five years together to beat Sareee!

Moeka Haruhi will return from her hiatus on the 29th November show.

A rivalry between Ganbare☆Pro and FREEDOMS has been brewing for a while now in a bid by both promotions to liven up the indies. The two sides agreed to hold an all out battle at Shin-Kiba 1st RING with the venue split in half for their supporters. GanPro overwhelmingly won the audience battle by drawing 118 of their own fans to the show while FREEDOMS could only draw in 58 fans. Takashi Sasaki’s excuse is most of the FREEDOMS fans were busy with their jobs while the GanPro fanbase have too much time on their hands. When it came to the match results, FREEDOMS ended up on the winners side with four of the six matches going their way. This isn’t the end of the rivalry though. Sasaki wants it to continue until one side completely gives up! Ken Ohka agreed and the two of them will come up with something in the future to keep this “GANDOM” series going.

The main event was chaotic enough with the usage of lighttubes and chairs as weapons but since it was the last match of the show, both sides went all out including the wrestlers at ring side who all joined in on their team’s train attacks. Ohka hit two Flame Spears on Jun Kasai but Tomoya Hirata stabbed him in the head with bamboo skewers. Mizuki Watase tried breaking up pinfalls to keep his team in the match but Ohka was eventually put away with the Cross-Arm Stimulation that smashed him through a bundle of lighttubes. Kasai said the GanPro team inspired him today and he also appreciated how enthusiastic the GanPro fans were too.

GanPro did get a big win in the semi-main event. Yumehito Imanari & Yuna Manase brought along the GanPro staff member Nobita to be their second at ringside. He ended up getting bullied by Takashi Sasaki & Toru Sugiura as they have been doing in the lead up to the show. Sugiura took his glasses and even emptied out a box of glasswear to try and Suplex Nobita onto. However Nobita was saved by the GanPro team and he got revenge by Body Slamming Sugiura onto the pile of glasses. Manase then got the surprise pin on Sasaki with a Lariat to win the match! Imanari said this is what happens when the bullied kid in class ends up training like crazy. He turns into a total killing machine! Meanwhile Sasaki and Manase both threw out the idea of having a singles match against each other to settle their differences. Manase wants the match to happen at Korakuen Hall.

YuuRI wasn’t as successful at her attempt of wrestling against the men. However although she lost Match #4 for her team after being pinned by Mammoth Sasaki, she earned everyone’s respect with her efforts. Sasaki begrudgingly shook her hand and raised it after the match. Things between Jun Masaoka and Keisuke Ishii was a bit more heated with the two of them butting heads before leaving the ring.

There was also respect earned between Violento Jack and Munetatsu Nakamura. Jack thought he was going to be wrestling some young brat but he ended up being impressed by Nakamura’s abilities. The current King Of FREEDOM World Champion used his submission finisher to make Nakamura give up and then gave him a fist bump when the dust had settled.

Shuichiro Katsumura requested GENTARO to be his opponent for the show because he considered the two to have something of a rivalry going on due to their wrestling styles. GENTARO planned on winning by pinfall while Katsumura focused on trying to submit him. It led to Katsumura countering GENTARO’s pinning cradle into a Triangle Choke that then switched into the Nagata Lock 3 for the win.

In the opening match, Dragon Libre & Reiya Igarashi pulled out a FREEDOMS flag and flaunted it in the ring to celebrate their victory. Igarashi said he could feel the fighting spirit coming from Shota Kawakami & Sentaro Motoshima so he wanted to overwhelm them with his own strength.

For the first time in the young history of this championship, a Spirit Of Ganbare World Title match ended in a draw. Both Masaaki Mochizuki and Shuichiro Katsumura ended beating each other up to the point where neither of them could answer a ten count from the referee. Mochizuki still had the strength to speak after the match and he admitted Katsumura was better than he expected. He told the rest of the Ganbare☆Pro roster they should be proud of him and then asked if anyone else in the group could handle the kind of match these two old men just had? Ken Ohka praised Katsumura for working so hard and suggested to the others it will be up to them to convince GanPro who should be the next challenger. Katsumura later tweeted that at the age of 49, the last goal he needs to achieve before he turns 50 is to beat Mochizuki!

Ohka also showered praise for Shota Kawakami after his attempt to win the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles with Keisuke Ishii ended in failure. Ohka then decided he will be next to challenge Ryota Nakatsu & Takumi Tsukamoto for the belts. When the BASARA team pointed out that would make it a 2-on-1 match, Ohka revealed that his partner will be Choun Shiryu! The match will happen at Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 9th November. The champions claim that place is BASARA’s main venue so they will have the home field advantage. Ohka disagrees because he and Shiryu combined have wrestled three times as many matches there than Nakatsu & Tsukamoto have!

In a few days time GanPro will be facing FREEDOMS in “The Battle Of Shin-Kiba” so wrestlers on the GanPro side fought each other to prepare themselves. Yumehito Imanari & Shinichiro Tominaga won against Yuna Manase & YuuRI but the loss only fired up the Ganbare☆Joshi pair even more. Manase asked Imanari after the match to train with her for the next three days before the show takes place. Imanari said GanPro has been around for men and women since the start and it will be better to motivate each other in the ring instead of just talking about it.

The end of the show was suddenly crashed by Toru Sugiura and Tomoya Hirata from FREEDOMS. They came out telling GanPro that their end is coming on 16th October! They also started bullying a GanPro staff member known to everyone at the shows as Nobita. However it turns out that Nobita was originally a trainee in SMASH and also made his pro wrestling debut in 2014 with Asuka Project under the name Takahiro Nakayama until health problems ended his career before it ever got going. Imanari & Manase warned the FREEDOMS side that Nobita is GanPro’s secret weapon in the rivalry and he will be their second at ringside when Imanari & Manase take on Sugiura & Takashi Sasaki.

The scenario throws Ken Ohka & Mizuki Watase back into Death Match wrestling as the two will fight Jun Kasai & Tomoya Hirata with the weapon choices currently to be determined. It’s an all Alice showdown for Arisu Endo’s first defence of the International Princess Title! Her challenger is a young American wrestler by the name of Alice Crowley. While she has made one or two appearances in many independents across the USA, you will usually find her in Juggalo Championship Wrestling or OVW. She used to wrestle a lot in IWA Mid South too. “Big Al” as she is nicknamed also competed in the infamous Power Slap contest earlier this year. As part of her title shot, Crowley will also be wrestling on the 12th and 19th October Tokyo Joshi Pro shows.

For Higuchi it is a chance to win another championship so soon after losing the KO-D Openweight Title. Meanwhile Ishida has been picking up momentum, mostly from beating other wrestlers from the D GENERATION. Knocking down either Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya with the Ensho on route to a championship win will be a massive accomplishment for the little sumotori.

They were opponents for all of the previous times in NOAH I could find. The opposition has a lot of BURNING in it because both Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku are there. The matches were all held indoors for spectators to have somewhere to go to in between the boat races outside. Minoru Suzuki lost his temper in the main event after Munetatsu Nakamura provoked him. That led to Suzuki attacking him as well as Ken Ohka, his partner Shuichiro Katsumura and even the ringside second Sentaro Motoshima with chairs. Nakamura got close to beating Suzuki by giving him the Michinoku Driver II but Suzuki recovered and sent him down with the Gotch-Style Piledriver. Suzuki said afterwards that no matter where the ring is, he is the King Of Pro Wrestling and will handle it with ease. Katsumura tried to shake Suzuki’s hand while asking him to come back to Ganbare☆Pro but Suzuki felt provoked by that too. He asked if Katsumura wanted a fight and Katsumura said he does! However Suzuki decided to leave without saying if he will ever come back.

5. GanPro Vs FREEDOMS: Takashi Sasaki, Toru Sugiura & Dragon Libre defeated Yumehito Imanari, Keisuke Ishii & Yuna Manase when Sasaki pinned Manase with a Lariat (15:21).
6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title Next Challenger Decision Match: Shuichiro Katsumura defeated Ken Ohka by Referee Stoppage with the Triple Three 3 Lock (23:52).

There was a dispute over who the No. 1 Contender for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title but now it is clear. Masaaki Mochizuki’s original nominee Shuichiro Katsumura beat Ken Ohka to earn the title shot. The ref was forced to stop the match when Ohka was trapped in the Triple Three 3 Lock but wouldn’t (or couldn’t) give up. After the match Katsumura spoke about how much he’s looked up to Ohka for the last ten years because Ohka protected Ganbare☆Pro from all invaders. In that time more people joined GanPro and became strong enough to do their part in protecting the company. Ohka was fired up from the speech and promised to continue leading GanPro for as long as there are people who will follow him.

Emotions over the GanPro Vs FREEDOMS feud are getting even hotter. The match didn’t even start when the two teams started fighting each other. The FREEDOMS side won thanks to Takashi Sasaki pinning Yuna Manase with a Lariat but the fighting continued after the match had ended. When things started looking too dangerous, YuuRI showed up to protect Manase from Sasaki. His taunting also made her mad enough to spray him in the face. He still declared while leaving that FREEDOMS had successfully taken over the GanPro ring.

GanPro also have attacks from BASARA to worry about. When Takumi Tsukamoto’s team won in Match #3, Mizuki Watase held up his Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Title at him and said he wants to defend the belts against BASARA wrestlers. He then said he and Shigehiro Irie can face Tsukamoto and Ryota Nakatsu for their next title defence on 27th September! Tsukamoto liked the idea but did not agree to it straight away because he will need to check with Nakatsu first.

When the show had ended, YuuRI & Manase went back to the ring to rally the fans. YuuRI said she doesn’t want to be limited to the Ganbre☆Joshi division because she wants to join the fight against FREEDOMS! Sasaki and his team overheard her and came up with an idea. Both promotions are busy running their own shows on 20th September but Shin-Kiba 1st RING recently informed him that they have a slot vacant for 16th October. So let’s have the two sides take part in a full scale battle that day! Every match will be FREEDOMS Vs GanPro and Sasaki can even organize it to have the FREEDOMS fans fill up one side of the building and the GanPro fans fill up the other side. Michiyoshi Mishima agreed to the idea but started having doubts when Sasaki told him the FREEDOMS side will include Jun Kasai and Mammoth Sasaki. However Manase and YuuRI are both excited to finally join the fight.

Moeka Haruhi announced she will miss the next several shows to rest and take care of her physical health.

Two new friends join the fray and they might be familiar to fans from certain parts of the world. Charli Evans is from Australia but usually calls the UK wrestling scene her home. She and Chris Brookes had many matches against each other before the pandemic. Her husband Everett Connors made a few GCW appearances coming out of the pandemic before moving his career to Australia with Evans.

Koroku might need to hold onto his RTC Arm Cover for as long as he can because that’s the only reason why he and To-y are getting a KO-D Tag Team Titles shot. Yuki Iino has good memories of using the Right To Challenge prize and he wants to take the one Koroku currently has. He says he will cancel the match if Koroku loses it before then but I don’t know if he or Yukio Naya have the power to do that. The Apex are confident thet can keep the tag titles either way.

It will be around a year and four months that have gone by when Sanshiro Takagi finally returns to wrestle again. He only admitted recently that one of the reasons he was out of action for so long was because he was diagnosed with angina and wasn’t allowed to even do a proper workout by his doctor until he recovered. He also sees something special with Hinata Kasai and specifically chose him to be his opponent at Sumo Hall. Kasai understands how important the match is especially because it will be the opener. But he isn’t sweating over the result. In his eyes Takagi doesn’t have a lot in the tank in his current state so Kasai thinks he has a really good chance of winning his first match in Sumo Hall!

6. Double Main Event II ~ Mizuki Watase 10th Anniversary Match – Fluorescent Lighttube Death Match: Jun Kasai defeated Mizuki Watase with the Cross-Arm Stimulation (19:24).

To celebrate ten years of being a pro wrestler Mizuki Watase dared to challenge Jun Kasai to a Lighttube Death Match. The reason for this was in 2016 Watase challenged Kasai to a Hardcore match at a DNA show and in the aftermath Watase wanted to challenge Kasai to a rematch with death match rules! The two lived up to their promise and Kasai quipped about how these matches aren’t easy while he was cutting up Watase with the lighttubes. He also dug some skewers into Watase’s head then sat down on a chair asking Watase to give the fans something exciting to watch. Watase then dug a bunch of skewers into Kasai’s head. Watase kicked out of the Pearl Harbor Splash as well as a Headbutt through lighttubes and also the Reverse Tiger Driver. Kasai had to pull out the Cross-Arm Stimulation Piledriver to finally get the three count on Watase.

After the match Kasai told fans the story about their DNA match. At the time he turned down the rematch because he didn’t want to see a young wrestler like Watase rush through his life. But Kasai is 50 now and is hitting his ceiling. He completely forgot about the death match request until Watase approached him to remind him of it. It impressed Kasai that Watase remembered it in a world where there are people who easily break promises to others. Since 23rd August is the anniversary of Watase’s pro wrestling debut, Kasai declared that 26th August will become the anniversary of Watase’s death match debut! When Watase heard that he quickly came up with a request to wrestle at the FREEDOMS show in Korakuen Hall happening in two days time. His request was accepted so Watase then called over to Michiyoshi Mishima and asked him to get Ganbare☆Pro four dates at Korakuen for next year instead of just three. Watase closed the show telling everyone that so many people had helped him in his first ten years. With the start of his eleventh year it is now his turn to help others.

Yumehito Imanari’s reign as Spirit Of Ganbare World Champion has come to an end at the hands of Masaaki Mochizuki. Everything that worked for Imanari in his recent matches from Lariats to Tiger Drivers to Lou Thesz Presses couldn’t put the Dragongate wrestler away. He was able to kick out of the Twister at one but and also block the Triangle Kick with a Lariat but a missed charge led to Mochizuki pinning Imanari with a Dragon Suplex. Mochizuki said he expected to win more easily but he understands how carrying the weight of a promotion on your shoulders makes you stronger. He then said as the new champion he is open to any challenge but he already has a first opponent in mind, Shuichiro Katsumura! However when Katsumura accepted the challenge, Ken Ohka entered the ring pleading to challenge Mochizuki first. Mochizuki called him stupid because he already beat Ohka back in April. He then said out loud that Ohka would at least need to beat Katsumura first to be considered for a title shot. Ohka took that statement to heart and said he will fight Katsumura and the winner will become Mochizuki’s first challenger!

The GanPro and FREEDOMS teams kept brawling with each other after Match #3 ended. That included Yuna Manase who was at ringside as GanPro’s flag bearer.

The debuting rookie Sentaro Motoshima is feeling nothing but regret over how his first match went. He knew he had a high wall to climb but he wanted to win and instead he tapped out to a Crab Hold. But he has an image of what kind of pro wrestler he wants to be. Since Munetatsu Nakamura and Shota Kawakami use flashy moves, Motoshima wants to go the opposite direction and wrestle a strong style similar to Riki Choshu or Genichiro Tenryu.

3. Yumehito Imanari, Keisuke Ishii & Shinichiro Tominaga defeated Takuya Wada, Choun-Shiryu & PSYCHO when Tominaga pinned Shiryu with the Wine Hamon Overdrive (15:31).
4. YuuRI, Sumika Yanagawa & Misa Kagura defeated Moeka Haruhi, Yuna Manase & Chika when YuuRI pinned Chika with the Swanton Bomb (12:09).

The first battle in this summer feud between Ganbare☆Pro and FREEDOMS goes to GanPro! They were the home team for today’s main event but the visitors aren’t going to take defeat lying down. After Mizuki Watase pinned Daisuke Masaoka for the victory, Takashi Sasaki told the GanPro team not to let their guard down because this rivalry has only just begun. The next inter-promotional match will be at a FREEDOMS show in Shuichiro Katsumura’s hometown of Yokohama on 17th August. Sasaki promised he will embarrass Katsumura in front of his own people! He then told Watase that GanPro’s “amateur” training cannot prepare him for a Fluorescent Lighttube Death Match with Jun Kasai on 26th August. Ken Ohka defended Watase by saying everybody has a first time for everything! Watase and nobody else in GanPro for that matter are going to fight FREEDOMS with the intention of losing. Watase then said if it he was just going to have a normal rules match with Kasai he would definitely beat him right now! He is going to put everything he’s learned during his 10 year career into this match so don’t underestimate him.

The Ken Ohka Vs Thanomsak Toba was put together as a tribute for the late Tomohiko Hashimoto. Both wrestlers spoke about their memories of him after the match.

The GanPro trainee Sentaro Motoshima was given plenty of chances to do stuff in the ring today. At the start of the show he had a five minute exhibition match with Ken Ohka. The intent of the match was to last the full five minutes so it continued even though Ohka made Motoshima submit to a Crab Hold halfway through. Ohka criticised Motoshima after the match by telling him he did no good and has to try harder. Yumehito Imanari joined in and told Motoshima he is taking his debut match set for 26th August for granted which means he is also underestimating GanPro as a whole. Imanari then decided that Motoshima would have an exhibition match with him at the end of the show!

The bonus exhibition did go ahead after the FREEDOMS team made their exit. Imanari attacked Motoshima with a chair leading to them fighting out in the crowd. Back in the ring Motoshima escaped from a Crab Hold and kept Imanari back with Dropkicks until the time expired. The bell rang but the two continued fighting for another two minutes. When they finally stopped, Imanari asked the audience if they could understand Motoshima’s feelings and if he deserves to have make his pro debut? The audience applauded his efforts. Imanari told him pro wrestling is tough and scares him because he has seen so many people get injured but the determination to overcome those fears is why he is here with Ohka supporting GanPro. For the last 12 years they’ve been waiting for a guy like Motoshima to join them. Ohka confirmed the debut is going ahead and he advised the trainee never to forget to be grateful to the fans.

During the show Michiyoshi Mishima announced more matches for the 26th August Korakuen Hall show. MAO is coming to GanPro to team with Fuminori Abe & Tyson Maeguchi to take on Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Takuya Wada. Also the Ganbare☆Joshi match for the show will be Yuna Manase & YuuRI Vs Moeka Haruhi & Hanako Nakamori.

GanPro also announced that their next Korakuen show after August will be on 27th December.
