6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kaisei Takechi (c) Vs Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato

Rumours were swirling around yesterday when a Japanese wrestling blog Kakutolog posted a story about Shinjuku FACE possibly shutting down its doors later this year. Sadly, today the venue’s management confirmed that Shinjuku FACE will be closing down on 30th September when their fixed-term lease with the building expires. To say this is a blow for the Japanese wrestling scene is an understatement given how so many wrestling companies are based in Tokyo and have relied on Shinjuku FACE to put on shows that aren’t on the level of Korakuen Hall but are still easy to access deep in the heart of that city. If Korakuen Hall is where you go to get a heat check on a wrestling company, Shinjuku FACE is where you will experience that company’s status quo. It will have a negative effect on the CyberFight promotions for sure because of how often they’ve booked shows in there over the last 20 years.

Kota Sekifuda has been brought in to take the place of the injured Yuni in Match #1.

A little change of pace for the next BASARA show. A Battle Royal will take place and with Shuji Ishikawa taking part, the winner could be likely to get a Union MAX Title shot against him in the future. That’s the only reason I see this match happening.

SUPER JAPAN “JUDGEMENT”, 24/03/2026
Shinjuku FACE

1. 3 Way Match: Hiroshi Yamato Vs Gym Trainer Kotoka Vs Ippanjin Munenori Sawa
2. Evil Uno & Ram Kaichow Vs Shota & Marika Kobashi
3. Special 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Takashi Sasaki, Naoshi Sano & Demonio Uno Vs Brahman Shu, Brahman Kei & Mac Matsushita

5. Special Single Match: Yuji Nagata Vs Fuminori Abe
6. Special Single Match: Shinya Aoki Vs Kazunari Murakami
7. Special Single Match: Sanshiro Takagi Vs Poison Sawada JULIE

What in the hell is this lineup? We’re getting a 6-Man Tag Match between “Goro Tsurumi’s Genes” against the “Toryumon Genes”. Evil Uno is teaming up with Ram Kaichow even though there is also Demonio Uno on the show. The Gym Trainer Kotoka is back to fight the ordinary salaryman Munenori Sawa and city council wrestler Hiroshi Yamato. That’s not all, NOSAWA Rongai is now threatening to invade Super Japan with Mummy wrestlers so who know what else is going to happen here. Maybe at the end of the show the fans vote to shut the whole thing down.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “HYPAMI AID” Results

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “HYPAMI AID”, 27/06/2024
Tokyo LOFT9 Shibuya
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Special Single Match: Hyper Rika defeated Demonio Uno with the I Am A Hero from the Ladder (11:45).

While Hyper Misao is recovering from her ankle injury, Rika Tatsumi and Yuki Aino helped put together a fan event for her to help pay for her medical expenses. During the event the lights went out and a video of Demonio Uno played on the screen. There was negative aura inside LOFT9 Shibuya that attracted Uno to the venue. Normally Misao would be the hero and save the day but she is injured. Aino was also still feeling the effects of a recent illness. That means it was all up to Tatsumi to save the day!

Tatsumi was given Misao’s hero costume to change into and she returned to the room as Hyper Rika! Uno attacked Rika and chased her around the room. Misao helped out by spraying Uno in the face and Rika followed up by hitting Uno with the Hip Attack. Then on the stage Rika climbed a Ladder and used Misao’s finisher I Am A Hero to pin Uno for the three count.

4. Special Single Match: Soma Takao defeated KANON with the Sorarina (8:24).

6. Special Tag Match: Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata defeated Yukio Naya & Rukiya when Katsumata pinned Rukiya with the Totonou Splash (15:32).
7. All Asia Tag Team Titles – Current Blast Bat & Board Tag Death Match: Atsushi Onita & Toy Kojima defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani (c) when Kojima pinned Okatani after a Sandwich Current Blast Bat Full Swing with Onita (11:36).
*Eruption fails in V2. DDO becomes the 122nd All Asia Tag Team Champions!

Once again the All Asia Tag Team Titles have been taken by Atsushi Onita. This time around Toy Kojima is his partner in crime, earning the first proper championship of his career. They defeated Eruption in an Exploding Bat & Board Death Match where the items were rigged with three and a half times the amount of explosives than they normally would be. Onita himself took the first explosion when Yukio Sakaguchi hit him with a baseball bat. Kojima grabbed the bat and hit Sakaguchi with an explosion for revenge. Sakaguchi got his own back by Power Bombing Kojima through an exploding board. Onita blinded Hideki Okatani with the Poison Mist. Together with Kojima, they each grabbed an exploding bat and hit Okatani with it at the same time. Kojima then pinned him for the three count.

The team known as Dramatic Dream Onita (or DDO for short) celebrated their prize and left ringside. That left Eruption defeated in the ring. Sakaguchi had said leading up to the match that they were going to fight as if they would disband if they lost. It turns out he was living up to his word and Eruption are splitting up as of today! Okatani said everyone in Eruption helped get him to this point but he cannot rely on Sakaguchi forever. From here on out Okatani is going to tell his own story. The final two members of Eruption then thanked the fans for their support, took off their Eruption shirts and left them behind in the ring.

As for DDO they already have new plans in the works after becoming the All Asia Tag Champions. Onita wants to bring the belts back to All Japan! Kojima will follow him, ready to make an explosion anytime, anywhere. There is also a third member of DDO that should not be forgotten about. Shunma Katsumata is on their side and wants the three of them to challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles! If they win they will then exclusively defend the titles in exploding death matches! DDO is ready to take over DDT!

Yuki Ueno had some harsh words for Yukio Naya after their tag match. He said it cannot be helped whenever Naya loses a match and he just rushes home. Being strong is not enough to take the KO-D Openweight Title from Ueno. If all Naya has is strength then there is no way he will win at Korakuen Hall on 28th January. Naya brushed off the comments and said he is looking forward to the actual title match. He is strong now and able to beat Ueno.

Kazuki Hirata is trying to gain membership into The 37KAMIINA even if it is just temporary. He tried interviewing Ueno & Katsumata after their match and joined in on the NeppoWER!! pose. However that does not mean he’s been fully accepted into the unit yet.

Fresh back from America, MAO had a lot of crazy ideas he wanted to do so DDT stuck him in a match with Mecha Mummy, Mecha Pandita and Demonio Uno. That way when things went out of control no living creature under contract to DDT would be harmed. MAO brought out a bazooka that shot fireworks at Mummy and then drove a van into Pandita. Demonio took advantage and pinned Pandita to win.

The latest batch of matches between ROMANCE DAWN and DAMNATION T.A has resulted in ROMANCE DAWN declaring war on their enemies! Daisuke Sasaki cheated to beat Shota by using a chair and giving him a Low Blow. Sasaki then immediately tried to interfere in the match between Soma Takao and KANON but Shota was right behind him to get back in his way. In the chaos Sasaki hit KANON with a chair by mistake and Takao used the opportunity to get the win. Shota complained about Sasaki’s attitude and said ROMANCE DAWN will still be the top tag team throughout 2024.

The opening match had to be changed in the last minute because Yuni caught the flu and couldn’t be at the show. So instead the other five wrestlers came up with a new match type. Sanshiro Takagi, HARASHIMA & Masahiro Takanashi were given the task of building a castle of chairs inside the ring within a 10 minute time limit. It was up to Hirata & Danshoku Dieno to stop them and knock over the castle whenever they could. If Takagi’s team couldn’t complete the castle after 10 minutes then Hirata & Dieno were the winners.

9. Princess Tag Team Titles: Hikari Noa & Nao Kakuta (c) Vs Suzume & Arisu Endo
10. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Masha Slamovich

This is the complete card for the Tokyo Joshi Pro Ittenyon show, ten matches in all. Riho from AEW was the most recent big name added to the lineup. Her match against Shino Suzuki will be her first appearance in TJPW since October 2022.

The match between Rina Yamashita and Maki Itoh does not have any violent stipulation attached to it yet. However Itoh warns that if her opponent uses a weapon then she will too. That is why she always brings her pizza cutter everywhere she goes.

Ryo Mizunami’s match sees her placed in the ring with Mizuki and the two youngest rookies Runa Okubo and Haru Kazashiro. Okubo has been developing a more power-based moveset so Mizunami is going to be a valuable opponent for her to learn from.

Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Union MAX Title: FUMA (c) Vs Minoru Fujita

When BASARA returns in the new year FUMA will put the Union MAX Title on the line against Minoru Fujita. The title challenge comes from Fujita wanting to turn around Sento Minzoku’s fortunes in 2024. The match also shows the opposite family lives between champion and challenger. FUMA got married this year and life as a whole has been fulfilling for him lately while Fujita is a divorced man with only pro wrestling to rely on. A man with nothing to lose is always a dangerous foe.

2. All Asia Tag Team Titles – Current Blast Death Match: Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani (c) Vs Atsushi Onita & Toy Kojima

For some reason the Tsurumi Fruit & Vegetable Market has become home to a number of pro wrestling’s most bizarre creations. Demonio Uno (or Demonio Dos) always pops up when TJPW runs shows there only to find out it is not the scariest monster in the area by a long shot. Mecha Mummy is going to show up after spending a year getting its improvements worked on over at Baka Gaijin + Friends. Then there is Mecha Pandita who as far as I know has not been seen since the short lived Bakuha Koshien promotion that ran during the pandemic. Filling out this 4 Way is MAO who is either the only normal part of the match or the most crazy out of everyone depending on your own point of view.

Here is the match order for Sunday’s big show. There is a public press conference tomorrow featuring the wrestlers involved in the most important matches so there may be a last minute angle or moment done to heat them up a little one last time.

The KO-D Tag Team Titles match being pushed all the way down to the opening bout is odd. Maybe it’s for scheduling reasons regarding some of the wrestlers involved? Everyone in that match are the kind of wrestlers who keep themselves busy on the indies.

6. Harimao Vs DAMNATION T.A!: Daisuke Sasaki & KANON defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Yuki Ishida when KANON submitted Ishida with the Just Cobra Twist (10:37).
7. “Current Blast” Trademark Rights & Position Battle ~ Legend Resurrected! New Year Aerial Time Bomb & Current Blast Bat Death Match: Atsushi Onita, Shunma Katsumata & Toi Kojima defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Akito & Soma Takao when Onita pinned Takao with a Current Blast Bat Swing (12:23).
*Atsushi Onita becomes the Honorary Drop Kick store manager.

DDT’s first attempt of 2023 to flex their corporate muscle ended in failure and may perhaps come back to haunt them later in the Spring. Sanshiro Takagi, Akito & Soma Takao challenged Atsushi Onita to put his trademark for exploding death matches on the line so DDT could control the stipulation worldwide. In return Onita, Shunma Katsumata & Toi Kojima demanded their opponents to put their CyberFight management roles on the line so whoever lost would have to transfer their company position over to the person who pinned them.

The result of the explosive main event saw Onita spit Poison Mist at Takao, blow him up with a baseball bat and then pin him to end the match. As a result, Onita is the new store manager for the Drop Kick bar! However due to the long distance between Onita’s home and the bar he is unable to do that job properly so he agreed to be the bar’s honorary manager instead. However Takagi still wants to take over the trademark. Katsumata then said he wanted to do another explosion death match and already booked Tsurumi Fruit & Vegetable Market for 19th March. He asked if there was anyone in DDT who wanted to take part? HARASHIMA walked out dragging Kazuki Hirata along with him. He wants to do it and win the trademark for CyberFight. He told Hirata he can do a bomb dance there too.

Onita then dropped a bombshell. He still wants the company president position so he is thinking of forming a new wrestling promotion called DDODramatic Dream Onita! He told Katsumata he can be the vice president and Toi Kojima can become a managing director. If they can convince other wrestlers to join DDO they can then make triple or quadruple the amount of money they currently make in DDT. On 19th March DDO will take over DDT and CyberFight will have to pay for all of their debts! Onita also threw out a challenge for the All Asia Tag Team Titles but that’s another story for another blog to cover.

Yuki Ueno & MAO wrestled their match wearing yankee gear. MAO even tried fighting with his hands in his pockets at the start. He also gave Tetsuya Endo a Low Blow but that backfired when Endo inadvertedly gave MAO a Low Blow back. Ueno took over and used a Stretch Bomb to pin Yuya Koroku.

The Chain Death Match spilled outside of the ring which is where Demonio Uno is at his best. He started a tug of war using the chain and Chris Brookes was able to win it with the help of some fans joining in on his side. Brookes then put Uno on a dolly and pushed him into the ring post. Back in the ring Uno fought back using the chain. However it ended up getting wrapped around Yukinori Matsui, preventing the referee from being able to count any pins. Uno then tried hanging Brookes over the ropes with the chain but Brookes found a way to free himself. He got a nearfall with the Praying Mantis Bomb and then applied a chain assisted Octopus Stretch. Uno wouldn’t respond and the match ended with Brookes declared as the winner.

Gota Ihashi found himself in a state of crisis. He’s already in love with Saki Akai but then he got into the ring with Saori Anou and is feeling can’t decide who he wants more. When Akai and Anou ended up against each other in the ring, Ihashi was convinced they were both fighting over him. He ran towards them hoping to receive just as much adoration in return but instead the two women knocked him out with a High Kick Sandwich.

Class was in session because Pheromones wanted to teach their opponents a lesson today. Yuki Iino used a Stinkface syle Scorpion Deathlock on Kazuma Sumi to win the match by submission. Afterwards Danshoku Dieno told Hideki Okatani that Pheromones do not take their sexy clothes off during matches just for pleasure. They also do it for strength and strategy. Today’s lesson from Pheromones to young people is to think and find your own strength. When in doubt, come back and Pheromones will teach you.

Now that Shota is back in Japan his focus for now is on singles wrestling. This means there is not going to be a ROMANCE DAWN reunion with Soma Takao happening anytime soon. To prove it, they are on opposite teams for the Elimination Tag Match happening here.

The Ganbare☆Joshi division is rebooting this year. Details for what it entails are still to come but for now the women will continue doing their best. Like YuuRI here taking on the visiting Riko Kawahata. YuuRI is also going over to Ice Ribbon tomorrow as a last minute replacement for a few Actwres girl’Z wrestlers who pulled out all of a sudden. Don’t know what’s going on there.

It’s going to be an Endless Waltz battle between Kotaro Suzuki and Soma Takao. Suzuki is the person who came up with the name Endless Waltz for the constant Las Magistral Cradles he likes to do. He got the name from a Gundam movie.

The show is happening on Takagi’s birthday. He will have already announced who his tag partner is going to be by the time the show takes place.

The supposed one day Katsumata has to join Pheromones is taking place on this day. Pheromones claim he is their “pet” for one month though.

Keigo Nakamura’s return match is throwing him right in there against BURNING.

Naruki Doi will be on the show.

1. Yokohama Two Major Singles Match I: Yusuke Okada Vs Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno
2. Yokohama Two Major Singles Match II: Tetsuya Endo Vs Yuki “Sexy” Iino
3. DDT Extreme Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs Antonio Honda

By accident Antonio Honda has found himself challenging Jun Akiyama for the DDT Extreme Title. He was simply trying to get Super Sasadango Machine out of the ring when he stumbled into Akiyama while the champion was waiting for a new challenger to appear.

BURNING and Pheromones have a couple of singles matches happening leading up to their big battle at the end of the month. No way Yuki Iino and Danshoku Dieno will be on their own for these matches.

DDT “SWEET DREAMS! 2023”, 29/01/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Tetsuya Endo, Kotaro Suzuki & Yusuke Okada (c) Vs Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Koju “Shining Ball” Takeda
2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: X & X (c) Vs X & X
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs Yuji Hino

In a rematch from the D-Ou Grand Prix draw that happened in November, Kazusada Higuchi and Yuji Hino are facing off again this time with the KO-D Openweight Title on the line. The previous match had a total of 182 chops thrown between the two and still ended without a winner. Admittedly, Hino demanded the match more because he wants to fight Higuchi again rather than because of a desire to win the KO-D Title for a second time.

BURNING defends their newly won KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles against Pheromones. Kotaro Suzuki was told when you come to DDT, a confrontation against Pheromones is inevitable. Tetsuya Endo & Yusuke Okada are already trying to get into their opponent’s heads by telling them what they do is not sexy at all. Koju Takeda will be the wild card because he is the third man on the Pheromones side instead of Yumehito Imanari.

Shinya Aoki, Naruki Doi and Hikaru Machida will all be on the show.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW INSPIRATION” Results

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW INSPIRATION”, 11/09/2022
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Pom Harajuku defeated Haruna Neko with the Pom de Justice (8:56).
2. Dalys & Stephanie Vaquer defeated Shoko Nakajima & Moka Miyamoto when Dalys pinned Miyamoto with La Magistral Cradle (11:43).
3. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki defeated Pokotan & Demonio Uno when Sakazaki pinned Uno with the Magical Girl Splash (12:28).
4. Miyu Yamashita defeated Arisu Endo with the Skull Kick (14:04).

The 5th “TJPW INSPIRATION” was headlined by Arisu Endo taking on Miyu Yamashita in Endo’s first singles main event. She has yet to win a singles match and this is the toughest route to achieve it. She blocked an Avalanche Attitude Adjustment and used it to hit the Mt. Bandai Dropkick before applying the Camel Clutch. Yamashita reached for the rope break and relied on her kicks to take over the match, finishing Endo off with the Skull Kick. Despite losing, Endo thinks she was able to show she has grown up a little bit. Yamashita said she has high expectations for her but finds it strange how she hasn’t won a singles match yet. It might just be that Endo doesn’t realize how strong she really is.

The Magical Sugar Rabbits have long dreamed for a chance to wrestle mascots of all kinds. They took their first step towards making it come true by fighting DDT’s mascot Pokotan along with Demonio Uno, the monster of Tsurumi’s vegetable market. Yuka Sakazaki and Uno fought out to the parking lot while Mizuki and Pokotan bit each other. Back in the ring Pokotan used its own head as a weapon by hitting the Pokogoye (Kamigoye style Headbutt) to Sakazaki. Mizuki then took Pokotan out of commission by crushing its head with a Diving Double Stomp. Sakazaki was able to take care of Uno from there and got the win with the Magical Merry-Go-Round followed by the Magical Girl Splash. After the match Sakazaki called out to all mascots in Japan. The Magical Sugar Rabbits want to challenge all of them to a fight, especially if they are from Disney!

Dalys made her return to Tokyo Joshi Pro and brought along another luchadora on behalf of CMLL. She & Stephanie Vaquer were victorious against Shoko Nakajima & Moka Miyamoto. Nakajima took out both opponents with a Topé Suicida so it was left to Miyamoto to finish Dalys off. However Dalys caught her with a Modified Back Drop and used La Mistica to pin her. Nakajima was happy to wrestle Dalys again because their previous matches happened before the pandemic. It makes her want to go wrestle in Mexico again. This was Miyamoto’s first match against foreign opponents so she was able to learn how universal pro wrestling truly is.

The opening bout was Pom Harajuku beating Haruna Neko in a match between two wrestlers from the same debut class. They were also both of each other’s opponents for their first wins. Harajuku said Neko has grown into a big cat which gave her some trouble. She tried doing a rope walk but was too afraid so Neko did it to her instead. Harajuku wants to overcome that fear next time. Neko is a little upset because she lost to another classmate Mahiro Kiryu at the last “TJPW INSPIRATION” show. She has seen both of them grow this summer so she is going to try and do the same as a cat.

At the beginning of the show Suzume was given the microphone to talk about her upcoming match against Miu Watanabe on 16th September. The winner will become the No. 1 Contender for the International Princess Title. Suzume said she felt the presence of all her fans again at the summer shows where cheering was allowed. She also got to wrestle in front of new audiences through her Gatoh Move appearances as well as the “GO GIRL” show. This match is a great opportunity for her to bring TJPW to the world!

5. BURNING Vs The 37KAMIINA!: MAO, Shunma Katsumata & Toi Kojima defeated Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku when Katsumata pinned Koroku after the Oretachi no MADMAX (9:20).
6. Beer Garden Specialty Customer Lottery 6-Man Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita, Naomi Yoshimura & Tetsuya Endo defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Yuki Ueno & Chris Brookes when Takeshita pinned Brookes with the Jumping Knee (18:20).

The fan lottery pitted determined the teams in the main event. Kazusada Higuchi found himself facing off against Konosuke Takeshita again but also his Harimao tag partner Naomi Yoshimura and Tetsuya Endo, the man he just defended the KO-D Openweight Title against. That’s not to say he was teaming with slouches though. Yuki Ueno & Chris Brookes carried their fair share of the match. Takeshita called the match fresh and fun because the other wrestlers have all evolved while he was in America. He can feel DDT’s momentum coming back and he will give it a boost with his KO-D Title match against Higuchi.

Daisuke Sasaki achieved a complete victory over El Unicorn, targeting his leg and removing his mask. His dirty tactics caught the attention of Ilusion who unexpectedly came to Unicorn’s aid and returned the mask to his rival. Unicorn got his second wind but Sasaki blocked a Moonsault with his knees and got the submission win with an Elevated Crossface Lock. Sasaki added insult to injury after the match by faking a handshake so he could low blow and unmask Unicorn one more time. Ilusion, HARASHIMA and Masahiro Takanashi then all ran in and chased him off. Both Unicorn and Sasaki will agree that this is not the end of their feud!

The Drunk 3 Way match was the only time anyone in the venue got to drink alcohol during the show. HARASHIMA, Takanashi and Yukio Sakaguchi all took shots in between rounds. They also played with a crocodile toy where you have to push in the toy’s teeth without it biting your finger. Whenever they got bit they would have a part of their face painted until they looked like a panda.

Demonio Uno appeared in the middle of the opening match and attacked some of the wrestlers.

The debuting Max The Impaler hates idols, which makes Tokyo Joshi Pro ripe for an invasion! Their first match in the company is against Pom Harajuku. Not sure if shin kicks work against wasteland warriors but we’re gonna find out!

Nice to see Mei Suruga hanging around TJPW a little bit more often. She takes on Arisu Endo at Korakuen Hall.

3. Shoko Nakajima & Moka Miyamoto Vs Dalys & Stephanie Vaquer
4. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Pokotan & Demonio Uno

During their Princess Tag Team Titles reign, the Magical Sugar Rabbits regularly brought up ideas to defend the belts against mascots, Yuru-chara creations and other such novelties. They no longer are the champs but their wish will finally come through. Sakazaki & Mizuki are getting a match against DDT’s mascot Pokotan and Tsurumi’s gatekeeper from Hell Demonio Uno.

Two luchadoras from CMLL are currently touring Japan and will make a stop in TJPW. Dalys has wrestled here before a few times before the pandemic. Stephanie Vaquer however is making her first appearance in the promotion.
