Yuki Arai’s first match in Nagoya is a big enough deal to main event the show because Nagoya is the home of SKE48. She will team with her mentor Miyu Yamashita against Yuki Aino & Moka Miyamoto. Another SKE48 member Shiori Aoki will be on commentary for the match.

Maki Itoh suffered a fractured left cheekbone in her Tokyo Princess Cup Quarter Final match. It will take two to four weeks for it to heal but she will definitely wrestle on 14th August. She will miss this Saturday’s show though.

The semi final draw was held and the matchups are confirmed. Itoh is confident she will be fully healed in time to face Mizuki in the main event. Overcoming the pain is what makes Itoh stronger and this is the opponents she wants more than anyone else. Mizuki is aiming for the three-peat and has never lost to Itoh before. Winning this match will give her the confidence she needs to win the final 24 hours later. Miu Watanabe is now four years into her pro wrestling career and has fallen in love with it. She also revealed the idol she looks up to most is Mayu Watanabe from AKB48. Her opponent Shoko Nakajima reaches the final four once again but she isn’t taking it for granted. Tokyo Joshi Pro has grown so much over the years that it motivates her to be the best again.

Yuka Sakazaki has her first match back in Japan since coming home from the latest AEW tour.

A few other return appearances brings the Rika Tatsumi Vs NEO Biishiki-gun feud back to life. Yukio Saint Laurent and Antonio Honda get involved again. The only difference is instead of a zombie we get Pom Harajuku.

In a press conference today the participants of both title matches got to speak. The KO-D Tag Team Titles match will be Yusuke Okada’s first championship shot in DDT since he signed with the company. Jun Akiyama is looking forward to teaming with his student and trusts him enough to let him do his stuff. Shunma Katsumata is determined not to lose the titles in his first defence. He also wants to pin Akiyama again like he did at the Ultimate Tag League. His partner Konosuke Takeshita said he will focus on Akiyama because he can rely on Katsumata to win the match if it comes down to him. The match serves as a clash of different wrestling styles and philosophies. Takeshita says there is no correct answer for pro wrestling that applies to everybody. Akiyama disagrees because he thinks the Giant Baba style that he learned has all of the right answers. Baba’s way is the correct way and the proof is in Akiyama being the current KO-D Openweight Champion.

The Olympic atmosphere in Japan has inspired Shinya Aoki to defend the DDT Extreme Title against MAO in a Hardcore Judo match. Aoki and MAO aren’t sure themselves what the rules are in a Hardcore Judo match but they are excited to do it.

It is a match Yuna Manase originally wanted at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” but it never came to be. She wants a singles match against Saki Akai so much she crashed a DDT show to demand it. Akai doesn’t have any strong feelings about her opponent. She remembers the year she debuted people online were hoping the two of them would team together but other than that they are from completely different parts of the wrestling scene. Akai recently wrestled in Ganpro and felt everyone there has passion but it went away very quickly. If Manase’s fire is red then Akai’s fire is blue and that is much more hotter.

2. 3 Way Match: Masato Kamino defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Yasu Urano when Kamino pinned Hiroshi with an Angle Slam (11:34).
3. Daiki Shimomura, Tsutomu Oosugi & Yuko Miyamoto defeated FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & Daichi Kazato when Miyamoto pinned Kazato with the Moonsault Press (13:47).
4. Itadaki Extra Edition Special Match: Gouma Vs Minoru Fujita ended in a Double Countout (13:41).
5. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa when Abe pinned Nakatsu with the Onryo Clutch (16:48).

Astronauts say that the momentum of BASARA and Big Japan cannot be stopped by anything, even by Coronavirus or the Olympics! After failing to win the IRON FIST Tag Titles today, Ryota Nakatsu said he will now focus on regaining the Union MAX Title. That’s not all from Sparky, they want another tag title shot when SAGAT is cleared to wrestle again.

Since the MAX Title match was postponed, Minoru Fujita had to fight Gouma instead. The two ended up fighting outside and Gouma held onto Fujita’s leg long enough for both of them to get counted out. After the match Fujita promised that when he wins the MAX Title, he will first defend it against Masahiro Takanashi. He then told Gouma he will be the second defence afterwards!

On the day of the show, it was announced that Takumi Tsukamoto was no longer considered a close contact to SAGAT and is now free to leave quarantine. However he was still absent from the show because he did not have enough time to travel to the venue.

The Union MAX Title match has been postponed and Minoru Fujita will face Gouma in a singles match instead. The IRON FIST Tag Titles match has been moved up to the main event with Akiyori Takizawa substituting for SAGAT.

The Double Title match is now just for one championship after Shinya Aoki lost the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title at a charity football game DDT was at. Danshoku Dieno is now the current champion. Aoki still has the DDT Extreme Title so that is up for grabs against MAO.

Takumi Tsukamoto is now a triple crown champion! He won the CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title from Kohei Kinoshita at a TTT show over the weekend, making him a champion in three promotions now. How a championship that vanished from the Canadian indies a few years ago ended up being revived in Japan, I have no idea.

The same TTT show saw Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari & Shota lose to Guts Ishijima & Speed Of Sounds in a GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. That was Ganbare☆Pro’s last chance to take the titles away from Ishijima again so that looks to be the end of that championship in Ganpro.

Takumi Tsukamoto is still handling the heavy schedule that comes with being a double champion for two promotions. This title defence in BASARA is happening four days after his BJW Death Match Title defence against Drew Parker in Big Japan.

1. Minoru Fujita, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Yusuke Kubo, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato when Fujita pinned Kazato with the Tombstone Piledriver (11:50).
2. 3 Way Match: Daisuke Kamibayashi defeated Fuminori Abe, Gouma and Yasu Urano when Kamibayashi pinned Gouma with a Standing Moonsault (7:51).
3. FUMA defeated Takato Nakano with a Cross Armbreaker (11:19).
4. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura (c) Vs Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT ended in a Time Limit Draw (30:00).
*V3 for Sento Minzoku.
5. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) defeated Masato Kamino with the Dragon Kicker (15:11).
*V5 for Takumi Tsukamoto.

Takumi Tsukamoto called Masato Kamino an insanely strong opponent. He fought off his Lariats, avoided being thrown with the Verdict and used a Dragon Kicker to get the win. His next goal is to win the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ as the reigning Union MAX Champion. Then he can nominated his next challenger.

The time expired in the IRON FIST Tag Titles match right after Ryota Nakatsu gave Isami Kodaka the V Slider. Daiki Shimomura took himself out when he missed a Swanton Bomb while SAGAT was there to break the count when Kodaka had Nakatsu beaten with a Brainbuster. Kodaka got a nearfall with the Diving Double Knee Drop but Nakatsu got back into it with a High Kick, a German Suplex and then the V Slider when time ran out. Nakatsu spoke of his regret to tag in SAGAT to finish the job while SAGAT thinks they would have won if they hit the Big Mac.

Gouma got permission to change the rules to the 3 Way Match. Only two wrestlers were allowed to fight in the ring at one time. The odd man out had to wait on the apron and be tagged in to enter the match. At one point Gouma had Fuminori Abe pinned in La Magistral Cradle but Abe grabbed referee Daisuke Kamibayashi’s hand to stop him from counting three. Under the new rules that counted as a tag and Kamibayashi had to wrestle Gouma. Yasu Urano hit Gouma with a Lariat but fell out of the ring when Kamibayashi lowered the ropes. Kamibayashi then pinned Gouma with a Standing Moonsault and Abe performed the three count to award him the win.

The 2021 Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ tournament will be held from 18th May to 7th July. This year’s tournament is back to being BASARA only after last year’s edition was co-promoted with Dove Pro.

The 5th May show in Itabashi Green Hall will celebrate Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s 10th Anniversary in pro wrestling.

Today is the beginning of a trial period where BASARA is allowing its fans to cheer and make noise during the show, as long as they still wear their protective masks over their mouths and noses.

After yesterday’s event we now have Smile Pissari as the KO-D Tag Team Champions and they already have a title defence lined up. The title match is happening because Jun Akiyama wanted a shot in return for giving HARASHIMA the next KO-D Openweight Title shot. Makoto Oishi has been moved out of the opener to be in the main event.

Takumi Tsukamoto has been slipping a bit with Masato Kamino pinning him on the last show. Kamino’s use of the Lariat is giving him win after win, enough to grant him a Union MAX Title shot.

The Sparky pair of Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT have been pretty successful and gotten even better with their new tag team finishing move. The Big Mac where Nakatsu (plus another if it is a trios match) jumps onto SAGAT’s back and they all splash down onto the victim. That will give Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura plenty to chew on when the IRON FIST Tag Titles are on the line.

Team Thoroughbred achieved their goal of winning the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles. Now they have to defend them.

Isami Kodaka wants to continue defending the BJW Jr. Heavyweight Title over and over in BASARA and is encouraging his roster to challenge him for the belt. He praised Takato Nakano for putting in a good fight at his first ever singles title match but he shouldn’t get lazy after this. Nakano thanked Kodaka for the match and for entrusting him with his entrance sword. Today is the end of Nakano chasing after his friend Kodaka. It is now the beginning of Nakano chasing after the pro wrestler Isami Kodaka! Nakano handed the sword over to Kodaka and said he will now go out and earn his own.

Masato Kamino has been granted the next Union MAX Title shot on 20th April. Takumi Tsukamoto nominated him before the show and felt the power of his Lariats in their tag match. Tsukamoto said Kamino is growing stronger very quickly and if can get consistent he will be a very scary wrestler. He then admitted he might be losing confidence himself because he’s now losing matches in both BASARA and Big Japan. He promises to make up for this loss 100 times over and fened the championship!

Today BASARA bid farewell to The ★ Trans-Am (aka Trans-Am ★ Ji, aka Trans-Am ★ Ryuji, aka Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi, aka Ryuichi Kawakami). He is going back to America but his future lies elsewhere, some place GLEAT so I hear. For his final BASARA match, his opponent Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi appeared in his classic pre-yoga costume wearing a blonde wig to match the hairstyle he had at that time. The wig was accidentally pulled off during the match and Hiroshi reacted to it by reverting to his current yoga persona. The BASARA roster took part in the farewell ceremony for Ryuji after the match.

Takumi Tsukamoto is handling the double champion role well. He now has 4 Union MAX Title defences to his name, the latest coming from a submission win over Daichi Kazato. He said winning this match gave him a lot of confidence. Nobody came out to challenge him afterwards which he thinks is a good thing. It shows he has become so strong that everyone might now be scared of him!

Isami Kodaka wants to give Daiki Shimomura all of the credit for their successful IRON FIST Tag Titles defence against IRON PRIEST. According to Kodaka, he couldn’t get his engine running until late the very end of the match. But he isn’t going to dwell on that. Instead, Kodaka wants to defend the BJW Jr. Heavyweight Title on a BASARA show next month. He needs Big Japan’s permission first but hopes they will let him do a title match on 10th April.

What are the full rules for the Jacket Match? According to Gouma, nobody knows! It was made even more confusing when applied to a tag team match. Speed Of Sounds were able to beat Gouma & Fuminori Abe fair and square but the two sides kept fighting after it ended.
