Team Red: Shoko Nakajima, Miu Watanabe, Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh, Mizuki, Yuki Aino & Mina Shirakawa

Team Blue: Hyper Misao, Yuna Manase, Hikari Noa, Yuki Kamifuku, Mahiro Kiryu, Mirai Maiumi & Sena Shiori

Team Yellow: Yuka Sakazaki, Rika Tatsumi, Natsumi Maki, Nodoka Tenma, Raku, Pom Harajuku & Suzume

A three team battle determined by costume colours was the theme for today’s dojo show. Tetsuya Koda kept the card a mystery outside of match formats until the start of the show. Shota announced each of the matches then revealed the prize for the winning team was tickets to Asakusa Hanayashiki, Japan’s oldest amusement park.

First up was Maki Itoh representing Team Red against Team Blue’s Sena Shiori. Itoh caught Shiori with a DDT off the ropes for the win. Itoh wants to stop wrestling in the dojo because nobody is there to answer her question “Who is the cutest in the world?”

Team Yellow then had their first match and got their first points when Rika Tatsumi beat Mina Shirakawa. Tatsumi tried to trap Shirakawa in the ring apron so she would get counted out but she made it back in at 19. Tatsumi countered the Implant DDT with the Twist Of Fate. She then got the three count with the Missile Hip.

Team Yellow continued their winning ways when Natsumi Maki beat Mahiro Kiryu. Maki pulled Kiryu’s hair to break out of a Crab Hold and did not let go until she was given a Spinebuster. Kiryu ran to the ropes but was caught in the Backlash to suffer another defeat for Team Blue.

Then it was time for something different. The 3 Way Match took place under 5 Rounds lasting 2 minutes each. Every wrestler would begin the match with 3 points. They lose 1 point if they are pinned for a 2 Count or if they submit. From the 2nd Round onward they can lose 1 point if they perform a banned action decided by a Twitter poll. Only the referee knows what the banned action is. The match ends when either all 5 rounds are done or if one wrestler is reduced to 0 points. The winner is whoever has the most points when the match ends. Hyper Misao and Pom Harajuku teamed up to pin Miyu Yamashita for a 2 Count. Yamashita then pinned Harajuku when she Body Slammed Misao on top of her. In Round 2 the banned action was “Speaking English”. Misao lost a point when she called for the Hero Correction System. She didn’t understand why she was penalised until the rule was revealed at the end of the round. In Round 3, Irish Whips off the ropes were illegal. Yamashita lost a point when she whipped Misao off the ropes. The banned move for Round 4 was never revealed because the match ended here. Harajuku lost a point for Irishi Whipping Yamashita off the ropes. Misao tried to strangle Yamashita with her cloak but Yamashita wrapped the cloak over Misao’s head and then kicked her with a High Kick. Yamashita went for the Attitude Adjustment but Harajuku suddenly rolled her over with a School Boy to take away Yamashita’s last point. The match ended and even though Harajuku got the final pin, Misao had one more point than her so she was the winner!

The show went back to normal with the tag match. Okay except for the part where Yuna Manase & Hikari Noa force fed Nodoka Tenma a banana. Noa pinned Suzume with the Uranage to give Team Blue a two match winning streak.

Mirai Maiumi wore similar makeup and clothing as Yuki Kamifuku so they could match together as a team. Shoko Nakajima purposely rubbed the makeup off Maiumi’s face while they wrestled. Kamifuku got revenge by drawing on her opponent’s faces with lipstick. In the end, Nakajima pinned Maiumi with the Northern Lights Suplex. She and Miu Watanabe laughed at each other’s messy faces after the match. Shota said they both looked like Princess Mononoke.

With Team Blue out of the running, the main event was down to Team Red and Team Yellow. Raku got rid of Mizuki, leaving Yuka Sakazaki to fight Yuki Aino. The two scrambled between the Magical Merry-Go-Round and the Venus DDT. Sakazaki took down Aino with a Low-Lying Lariat then hit the Magical Magical Girl Splash to make Team Yellow the overall winners!

The victory ceremony went a little off the rails. Tatsumi wanted to give her theme park pass to Mizuki. Sakazaki attacked Mizuki and suddenly everyone started fighting! Tatsumi yelled that the last ones standing would win the prize as the show finished. Team Yellow eventually got their prize back.

6. Bonus Track – Time Difference Battle Royal: Royce Chambers defeated Danshoku Dieno with the Shooting Star Press (17:54).
Order Of Elimination: Mizuki Watase, Shunma Katsumata, Keigo Nakamura, Makoto Oishi, Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya, Masahiro Takanashi, HARASHIMA, Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura, Konosuke Takeshita, Danshoku Dieno.
*Royce Chambers wins Danshoku Dieno’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.

By the end of today’s show, Royce Chambers felt like he made the right choice coming to DDT. A bonus Battle Royal was whittled down to Chambers facing against Konosuke Takeshita. A confident Takeshita told Chambers to wave bye bye when he threw him over the ropes. But Chambers skinned the cat and launched himself into a Canadian Destroyer before throwing Takeshita out of the ring. Chambers thought he had won when Danshoku Dieno was found to be still in the match after getting laid out earlier. Dieno did the Danshoku Driver but Chambers kicked out. Chambers got the upper hand and pinned Dieno with a Shooting Star Press to win the match. His prize was Dieno’s Right To Challenge Gauntlet! He thought it was a gardening tool. Hisaya Imabayashi explained the Gauntlet to him and said he can use it to challenge for either the KO-D Openweight Title or the Saitama Super Arena Sword. Chambers said he would like to challenge Tetsuya Endo for the Sword.

Daisuke Sasaki stole the DDT UNIVERSAL Title belt from Chris Brookes again! This time he did it before their tag match and Sasaki entered the ring with it over his shoulder. He gave it back to Brookes, claiming he only picked it up to give it over to him. MAO armed himself with a squeeky duck toy attached to a small stick. It didn’t protect him from Mad Paulie much. Sasaki used the duck toys to confuse Brookes and then distracted the referee. With the ref’s back turned, Sasaki gave Brookes a Low Blow then pinned him with a School Boy when the ref came back. MAO blessed Brookes with the Duck Stick to heal him after the match.

Chambers good string of results continued with him pinning Makoto Oishi in the 6-Man Tag match. Shunma Katsumata kept shouting “Heat Wave!” after every move.

The constant shouting of phrases was also in the match before that. Tetsuya Endo kept ordering Soma Takao to do the Gin And Tonic to his opponents. Mizuki Watase was able to counter that move but Takao eventually pinned him with La Magistral Cradle. In the post match interview Endo said he saw the perfect Gin And Tonic today. Takao agreed with him.

Match #2 began with Akito complaining about Dieno’s behavior. He does not want to have a match today where Dieno sexually harasses him. He asked Yukinori Matsui why he never stopped the sexual harassment in the first place! Akito then demanded Matsui to be more strict for this match. Matsui was taken aback by this but agreed to be more strict but only for today. He lived up to his promise and prevented Dieno from using his lewd moveset. Dieno lost his cool and gave Matsui a Low Blow from behind. Dieno then put a whistle in Akito’s mouth and told him to blow it whenever he feels good. Yukio Naya grabbed one of the cameras to film Dieno assaulting Akito. Matsui tried to step in but he doubled over still in pain from the Low Blow. Yuki Iino enjoyed watching Dieno’s antics and joined in. Matsui finally called off the match while the sound of the whistle echoed over the room.

Keigo Nakamura went into today’s match with a positive attitude. He did well against Masahiro Takanashi, getting a good chance with a Swan Dive Missile Dropkick. Takanashi thought outside the box to get the win. He pulled down the shoulder straps from Nakamura’s ring gear and tangled his arms with them. That left Nakamura powerless to kick out of Takanashi’s cradle.

For ages there has been a foreign trainee working ringside at DDT shows and I could never find out who he was. Finally he was introduced to the world today. Jordan Heatley is 25 years old and from Australia. He had an exhibition with Naomi Yoshimura before the show. He applied an Achilles Tendon Lock but Yoshimura calmly pulled himself over for a rope break. Yoshimura then won with a Camel Clutch. Afterwards it was announced that Heatley will have his debut match on 2nd April!

During intermission, Imabayashi promoted next week’s Rojo Pro Wrestling match at Saitama Super Arena. Suddenly Dieno attacked Imabayashi, complaining that he didn’t find out he was on the show until it was announced. He asked if that was Sanshiro Takagi’s idea to book him behind his back? Well it’s time for a coup in the locker room! He wants wrestlers to join his army to take on the DDT Army at Saitama Super Arena on 11th March!

0. Exhibition Match: Akito defeated Hideki Okatani by Pinfall (3:25).
1. Antonio Honda defeated Keigo Nakamura with the Bionic Elbow (5:41).
2. Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Time Difference Battle Royal: Yuki Iino defeated Yukio Naya with the Spear (14:53).
Order Of Elimination: Naomi Yoshimura, Kazuki Hirata, Mizuki Watase, Soma Takao, Kazusada Higuchi, MAO, Makoto Oishi, Yukio Naya.
*Yuki Iino wins the Black Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.
3. Barefoot Block Toy Death Match: HARASHIMA defeated Shunma Katsumata with the Somato (10:01).
4. Captain’s Drink Match – No Tag Rules: Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Akito when Endo pinned Akito with an Airplane Spin (21:36).
5. World Wide Match: Chris Brookes defeated Royce Chambers with the Praying Mantis Bomb (13:15).

Chris Brookes highly praised Royce Chambers, calling him a great wrestler and a huge plus for DDT. Brookes also said it was a great honour for two foreigners like them to main event a DDT show even though there were no spectators around. As long as Brookes has the DDT UNIVERSAL Title, he will fight for the main event spot. Chambers felt that he cannot do his best if he doesn’t get results. He’ll be in the main event again at the next show so he will not make the same mistakes. Konosuke Takeshita is far more forgiving of his performance. He thinks the Royce Impact is a great shock that is about to hit Japan’s wrestling scene.

A drunk Daisuke Sasaki wanted to save the Corona Beer in the room. Akito also preferred to drink instead of wrestle. Both Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo were not interested in joining in so Takeshita came up with an idea. The Captain’s Drink Match! Team captains Sasaki and Akito had to drink after every kickout. He also made sure it would be no tags needed so he and Endo could keep some kind of control over the match. Sasaki and Akito purposely pinned each other and kicked out over and over so they could drink as much as they want. Akito got so drunk that he wanted to kiss Endo. He got a Headbutt instead. Endo then lifted Akito up and Airplane Spun him around until Akito was too dizzy to kick out of the pin.

HARASHIMA Vs Shunma Katsumata was made into a Barefoot Block Toy Death Match! Katsumata asked for a Lego Death Match but Hisaya Imabayashi refused because they can’t use brand names. The match began with Yukinori Matsui pouring a bucket of block toys out in the middle of the ring. Katsumata missed a Moonsault onto the pile but kicked out of a Falcon Arrow at one. HARASHIMA used the Reverse Hurricanrana to set up the Somato for the win. He carefully ran across the ring to avoid the block toys in order to do the move.

The black Right To Challenge Gauntlet is active again with Yuki Iino as the current holder. He won it by being the last man standing in a Battle Royal. Iino is thinking about cashing it in at the next Korakuen Hall show but what for? He might go after the Saitama Super Arena Sword because a wrestler of his age has never main evented that arena before.

Antonio Honda and Keigo Nakamura spent their match celebrating Hinamatsuri (Doll’s Day). Honda successfully pulled off the Gongitsune trick to beat the rookie.

Before Akito got in the drinking mood, he wrestled Hideki Okatani in an exhibition bout. Okatani kicked out of a Brainbuster but Akito would pin him again and again until the trainee got too tired to kick out.

4. NEO Itoh Respect Army Vs Momoiro Gongitsune!: Chris Brookes & Maki Itoh defeated Antonio Honda & Miyu Yamashitawhen Brookes submitted Honda with the Octopus Stretch (10:41).
5. DISASTER BOX Vs ALL OUT!: Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Iino & Royce Chambers defeated HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Takeshita pinned Hirata with a Brainbuster (0:29).
5a. Rematch: Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Iino & Royce Chambers defeated HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Chambers pinned Hirata with the Rolls Royce (12:02).

The DDT debut of Royce Chambers lasted only 29 seconds. He climbed the top rope getting ready to fly when Konosuke Takeshita Suplexed Kazuki Hirata and pinned him for the 3 count. Everyone else left the ring getting ready to hit the showers until Hisaya Imabayashi angrily told them to restart the match.

The match restarted and the same thing was about to happen except this time everyone broke up the pin. Hirata took out the Hirata GO! glasses and danced for the camera outside the ring. Chambers wiped out DISASTER BOX with a Tornillo then hit his Rolls Royce finisher on Hirata to end the main event properly. Chambers said he has arrived in DDT to prove he is the best wrestler from Australia and the No. 1 high flyer in the world. Takeshita told everyone to look forward to what ALL OUT and AUSSIE ALL OUT will do next.

We thought we were in for all singing, all dancing NEO Itoh Respect Army entrance but Chris Brookes was more interested in starting a fight with Antonio HondaMaki Itoh told Brookes to dance then began to cry when he wouldn’t. It was all a trap for Itoh to Headbutt Honda while his guard was down. After Brookes made Honda submit to the Octopus Hold, he said he is hungry for blood. He wants to tear into Honda’s stomach and eat whatever is inside. Itoh tried to fit in by saying she wants to collect Miyu Yamashita’s chin as a trophy.

Ganbare☆Wrestling had its first taste of empty dojo wrestling by sending three of their wrestlers to face Eruption. The visitors came close to winning when Yumehito Imanari hit Yukio Sakaguchi with the Chubby Knee Kick. Sakaguchi kicked out and used a Ninja Choke to submit Imanari. After the match Sakaguchi welcomed Ganpro to fight them again and mentioned without saying any names that there is a wrestler in particular he wants to fight. Maybe the Ninja Choke is a call out for Shuichiro Katsumura?

Keigo Nakamura asked Makoto Oishi to team up against Yukio Naya in the 3 Way Match. The alliance broke apart when their combined force wasn’t enough to overpower Naya. Nakamura knocked Naya out of the ring with a High Kick so the match focused on the rookie against Oishi. Naya kicked out of the Miracle Ecstasy so Oishi used the Luminous Press to put him away.

The trainee Hideki Okatani had his debut match postponed so for now he can only do Exhibition matches. Akito put him through his paces before giving him a Backbreaker then submitted him with a Crab Hold.

The DDT Extreme Title match between HARASHIMA and Shinya Aoki that was meant to happen on 3rd March will now take place on the 11th. That date means the match will be part of the Street Wrestling show being held at Saitama Super Arena!

Today was Tokyo Joshi Pro’s turn to enter the Ochanomizu Dojo. A one day Haru Beautiful tournament featured 21 wrestlers all battling for a prize meal ticket provided by the show sponsor. The different set up allowed the winners to make comments to Shota at the commentary table after match.

The 1st Round had 2 Count Fall rules with a 5 minute time limit. Already the change in scenery had an effect on some of the girls. Maki Itoh was upset that the Cutest Knuckle Punch In The World on Suzume got no response in the empty room.

Rika Tatsumi was scared of Pom Harajuku constantly ambushing her with sneaky Low Kicks. She avoided the Pom do Justice, hit a Hip Attack and pinned Harajuku with the Twist Of Fate.

Hyper Misao blinded Mirai Maiumi with cold spray then brought in a training dummy to trick Maiumi into thinking it was her. Maiumi gave the dummy the Back Drop but was then rolled up by Misao for the 2 count. Misao called it a dignified victory to mark the beginning of her 5th anniversary in wrestling.

Miu Watanabe was intimidated by the 2 Count rules because she has never been in that kind of match before. So she submitted Haruna Neko with the Canadian Backbreaker instead.

Mizuki tried to wedge Nodoka Tenma between the ring and the wall so she would get stuck and counted out. Tenma struggled herself free and reversed a cradle to win. She said nothing is going to stop her from winning the meal ticket!

Natsumi Maki’s love of lamb meat is greater than Sena Shiori’s. That was what motivated Maki to beat her opponent.

Raku versus Yuna Manase was the only 1st Round match to reach the time limit. Manase appreciated Raku taking her on the Good Night Express because it gave her a chance to take a quick nap. When the time limit expired, Manase won a game of Rock Paper Scissors to advance to the next round.

Miyu Yamashita got her 2 Count revenge on Mahiro Kiryu. Two weeks ago Kiryu pinned Yamashita in a 2 Count Tag Match at a Tokyo Joshi fan club show. Yamashita celebrated avenging that loss by doing her old Genghis Khan dance because the show is sponsored by Genghis Khan Kirishima.

Round 2 had 5 women entering the tournament without competing in the opening round. The advantage of not wrestling a previous match worked out for most of them. Shoko Nakajima countered the Itoh Special into a Cradle to win her match. Afterwards she claimed that Itoh’s head is growing bigger every year.

Yuki Kamifuku brought along her pet dog Zac to support her since there was no audience. She would reach over and pet Zac to break out of Misao’s holds. Zac would be carried into the ring and Kamifuku dropped her guard to protect him. Misao took advantage and pinned Kamifuku with a School Boy while Zac was still in Kamifuku’s arms.

Mina Shirakawa tired Tenma out by making her run the ropes over and over. She countered the Killswitch into a Samson Clutch for the win. Afterwards she said Tenma has grown too big lately so it is a good thing she is not going to win more food. That’s how thoughtful Shirakawa is of other people. When she wins, she wins for everyone!

Hikari Noa used the Figure 4 Rotating Foot Clutch (Death By Roll-Up) that everyone has been using lately to pin Manase. Noa said that she won because Manase was impatient. She learned that from watching Manase’s earlier match with Raku.

Yuki Aino scored the biggest upset of the tournament by pinning Yamashita with the Side Suplex. The result is even more amazing given that this was their first singles match together.

It was then on to the Quarter Finals. Tatsumi Vs Nakajima went to a time limit draw. Nakajima won the game of Rock Paper Scissors by using Paper to beat Rock. Tatsumi tried to convince the ref she used Scissors but he didn’t fall for it.

It was by this point that Misao began to run out of tricks. Using the ropes for leverage and unmasking herself for a distraction didn’t work. Watanabe caught her with the Tear Drop to advance to the semi finals.

Shirakawa needed Rock Paper Scissors to advance past Maki. She claims that she has never won that game before in her life until today. But that means she used up all of her luck and she would have to rely on her abilities for the semi final.

The little rivalry between Noa and Aino was reignited in the last Quarter Final. Aino continued her momentum by winning with the Venus DDT. She used the move to counter the Cobra Twist.

Now it’s down to the final four. Nakajima Vs Watanabe lasted 5 minutes but this time sudden death consisted of the match restarting with 1 Count Falls in effect. Nakajima quickly pinned Watanabe with a Crucifix Pin to advance to the final.

Joining her in the final is Aino! She avoided Shirakawa’s Spinning Backfists and took her down with a Bulldog Headlock. The Venus DDT again gave Aino the victory.

Sadly for Aino her Cinderella run in the tournament did not get a happy ending. The final was increased to a 10 minute time limit which gave Nakajima and Aino more space to spread their wings. Aino kept going for the Venus DDT but Nakajima had counters for them. Nakajima hit the Northern Lights Suplex but a bad posture meant the move didn’t get her the pin. Nakajima had a backup plan in place. She gave Aino a Double Arm DDT and then the Diving Senton, winning the match and the Haru Beautiful tournament!

Nakajima was happy to win the tournament because she was supposed to be challenging Thunder Rosa for the International Princess Title today. It’s still a very happy day for her and she promises she won’t lose yet!

Tetsuya Koda announced that another Tokyo Joshi empty dojo show will be held on 8th March. He presented Nakajima with the prize meal ticket but Nakajima talked him into giving one to Aino too as a reward for her performance today. Yamashita joked that if everyone danced then Koda will bring everyone to go eat at Genghis Khan Kirishima. Everyone danced to bring the show to an end.

This leads to a change in the card with DISASTER BOX Vs ALL OUT becoming a full on 8-Man Tag Match. ALL OUT becomes AUSTRALIAN ALL OUT with the DDT debut of Royce Chambers.

5. DDT Brother Team Vs DAMNATION X: Daisuke Sasaki & Hiroshi Yamato defeated HARASHIMA & Makoto Oishi when Sasaki submitted Oishi with the Cross Facelock (11:33).

Sometimes when plans fall apart, creative ideas get to shine. DDT’s solution for cancelling a bunch of shows over fears of the Coronavirus was to record replacement shows in their own dojo. No fans were allowed in so it was all done to be shown live on DDT UNIVERSE.

One of the wrestlers who struggled to wrestle in an empty venue was HARASHIMA. He usually feeds off of the cheering fans. He gathered some momentum thanks to guys like Makoto Oishi and Naomi Yoshimura chanting his name in the background but it just wasn’t the same. Things were looking bleak until “Toru Owashi” entered the room and handed a pair of headphones to HARASHIMA. He put them on and could suddenly hear cheering fans! He went back into the ring like a house on fire but he missed a High Kick and struck Oishi by accident. Daisuke Sasaki then caught Oishi in the Crossface Lock for the submission victory.

Hiroshi Yamato said he was grateful to wrestle today because one of the cancelled shows was supposed to be at his hometown in Chiba. He wants to show the fans that all of the wrestlers will take the initiative and stand in their place one way or another.

Today’s show was also taking place on Akito’s birthday. His birthday gift was a moment to stare lovingly into Tetsuya Endo’s eyes while he was being stretched in the Yurikamome hold. After the match Endo was asked if he felt Akito’s love during that moment. Endo said he only loves his stag and kabuto beetles.

Nautilus seemed to have a better time than others with adjusting to the quiet atmosphere. Yuki Ueno said he could feel the fan support in his heart. Today’s match against Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata was just what he needed. His trips with the DDT Sauna Club lately have felt too well organised and he can’t feel comfortable in the ring if he doesn’t feel tired from working hard.

CDK won a close one over Eruption. The end saw Kazusada Higuchi save Saki Akai from the Praying Mantis Bomb by hitting Chris Brookes with a Lariat. Akai went for the Quetzalcoatl but Masahiro Takanashi grabbed Brookes’s hand to block the move. He then distracted Akai by pinching her nose. Brooke rolled on top of Akai with a Jackknife to grab the win.

The opening match was as lewd as Danshoku Dieno wanted it to be. He was confused during his entrance because there was nobody around to kiss. Keigo Nakamura challenged Dieno to face off with him, declaring that he will try to win the KO-D Openweight Title in the shortest career time in history. Dieno did his thing with Nakamura, Yuki Iino got involved too. On the ring apron, Dieno lifted Nakamura up for a Power Bomb but it was to pass him over to Yukio Naya to do the match winning Brainbuster. Dieno & Naya call this double team move the Grand Cross From Hell.
