??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Takuya Wada & Ryuma Sekimo defeated Shuichiro Katsumura & Sentaro Motojima when Wada submitted Sekimo with a Front Choke (13:28).
2. Moeka Haruhi & YuuRI defeated Yuki Mashiro & Konomi Hori when YuuRI submitted Hori with a Flying Body Scissors Sleeper Hold (14:44).
3. Shinichiro Tominaga defeated Tyson Maeguchi with the Wine Hamon Overdrive (11:14).
4. Mizuki Watase & SUSHI defeated Keisuke Ishii & Leatherface when SUSHI pinned Ishii with a School Boy (10:35).
5. Ken Ohka, Guts Ishijima & Banana Senga defeated Yumehito Imanari, Fuminori Abe & Shota Kawakami when Ohka pinned Kawakami with the Flame Spear (19:32).

The main event was set up to help Ken Ohka prepare for his 25th Anniversary match taking place on 29th April at Korakuen Hall. He said afterwards he wants to make that show an exciting one with all of his friends. He then held a post-show talk with Guts Ishijima that was suddenly interrupted by Leatherface dragging Mizuki Watase into the ring. Keisuke Ishii got in and attacked Watase with the Double Arm Lock Driver before leaving the venue with his suitcase.

Leatherface was at the show because he was Ishii’s mystery partner for the tag team match against Watase and his surprise choice, SUSHI. Things went crazy in the end with Leatherface accidentally hitting Ishii with a Lariat. Watase then hit Ishii with an Elbow Butt, knocking him into a School Boy from SUSHI for the pinfall. Watase bragged that the result was decided from the start because he anticipated Ishii would bring in Leatherface but Ishii never expected Watase would tag with SUSHI.

After Shinichiro Tominaga defeated Tyson Maeguchi in a preview of the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles match, their respective partners Yumehito Imanari and Takuya Wada got into a staredown with each other. Backstage Imanari said he could feel the emotion in Maeguchi’s blows but he was the calmer wrestler today. The wrestlers with martial art backgrounds are scary because they are always ready to take on anyone. Touchable can be passionate too but they also calmly observe the situation as the match progresses. That’s why Touchable are confident they will defend the tag titles on 29th April. Maeguchi admitted he fell into his bad habit of rushing to win today. He wants to be perfectly prepared for the title match. Wada complained that everybody else are doing comical things in Ganbare☆Pro while he is trying to be serious.

2. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title Next Challenger Determination – Round 1: PSYCHO defeated Shuichiro Katsumura with the Reverse Clover Hold (8:49).
3. 3 Way Match: Moeka Haruhi defeated Taiwan Ramen Man and Hora-chan when Haruhi pinned Ramen Man and Hora-chan with a Double Jackknife Pin (9:10).
4. Mizuki Watase & Shigehiro Irie defeated Shota Kawakami & Sentaro Motojima when Watase submitted Motojima with a Crab Hold (12:54).
5. Rin defeated YuuRI with a Locomotion School Boy (12:06).
6. Yumehito Imanari, Takuya Wada & Tyson Maeguchi defeated Ken Ohka, Shinichiro Tominaga & Akira Shoji when Maeguchi pinned Tominaga with the Ago Shitsurei Itashimasu (15:38).
7. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title Next Challenger Determination – Final: Keisuke Ishii defeated PSYCHO with a Tiger Suplex (12:07).

All this time spent demanding a match with Keisuke Ishii and Yuya Susumu lost to him in under six minutes? Well, Ishii was a man on a mission today because he was determined to become the No. 1 Contender for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title. He was Ganbare☆Pro’s last hope against the outside competition when PSYCHO eliminated Shuichiro Katsumura over on the other side of the bracket. Ishii was able to beat PSYCHO in the final and he joked about the fans and probably even Mizuki Watase were disappointed over the result. However, Watase reminded Ishii of the match they had at Korakuen Hall three years ago. He wants the two of them to surpass it in the same building on 29th April! Ishii said that date is when he is at his absolute best form. Watase thought about what he meant and remembered that is the date when Ishii won the All Asia Tag Team Titles back in 2014!

At the end of Match #6 Tyson Maeguchi came to the realization that he just beat one half of the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Champions and it was thanks to the other half. The finish of the match was Yumehito Imanari hitting Shinichiro Tominaga with a Lariat and then Maeguchi finished off Tominaga with the Flying Knee Kick. Maeguchi decided he should get a title shot against Touchable at the 29th April Korakuen show. Ken Ohka offered to be his tag partner but Maeguchi turned him down to team with Takuya Wada instead. Wada agreed, having already kept his schedule open hoping to get booked on the show. He warned everyone that he didn’t come back to GanPro to be treated like a punching bag again! Michiyoshi Mishima thought over their request and pointed out both Maeguchi and Wada are former tag champions but the physcial belts did not exist when Maeguchi was on the first champion team. Mishima felt the two of them would be perfect opponents for Touchable and agreed to book the match.

5. GanPro Vs FREEDOMS 6-Man Tag Match: Shuichiro Katsumura, Mizuki Watase & Shigehiro Irie defeated Takashi Sasaki, Mammoth Sasaki & Daisuke Masaoka when Watase pinned Masaoka with the Venetian (22:42).
-. Exhibition Match: Yumehito Imanari Vs Sentaro Motojima ended in a Time Limit Draw (5:00).

The first battle in this summer feud between Ganbare☆Pro and FREEDOMS goes to GanPro! They were the home team for today’s main event but the visitors aren’t going to take defeat lying down. After Mizuki Watase pinned Daisuke Masaoka for the victory, Takashi Sasaki told the GanPro team not to let their guard down because this rivalry has only just begun. The next inter-promotional match will be at a FREEDOMS show in Shuichiro Katsumura’s hometown of Yokohama on 17th August. Sasaki promised he will embarrass Katsumura in front of his own people! He then told Watase that GanPro’s “amateur” training cannot prepare him for a Fluorescent Lighttube Death Match with Jun Kasai on 26th August. Ken Ohka defended Watase by saying everybody has a first time for everything! Watase and nobody else in GanPro for that matter are going to fight FREEDOMS with the intention of losing. Watase then said if it he was just going to have a normal rules match with Kasai he would definitely beat him right now! He is going to put everything he’s learned during his 10 year career into this match so don’t underestimate him.

The Ken Ohka Vs Thanomsak Toba was put together as a tribute for the late Tomohiko Hashimoto. Both wrestlers spoke about their memories of him after the match.

The GanPro trainee Sentaro Motojima was given plenty of chances to do stuff in the ring today. At the start of the show he had a five minute exhibition match with Ken Ohka. The intent of the match was to last the full five minutes so it continued even though Ohka made Motojima submit to a Crab Hold halfway through. Ohka criticised Motojima after the match by telling him he did no good and has to try harder. Yumehito Imanari joined in and told Motojima he is taking his debut match set for 26th August for granted which means he is also underestimating GanPro as a whole. Imanari then decided that Motojima would have an exhibition match with him at the end of the show!

The bonus exhibition did go ahead after the FREEDOMS team made their exit. Imanari attacked Motojima with a chair leading to them fighting out in the crowd. Back in the ring Motojima escaped from a Crab Hold and kept Imanari back with Dropkicks until the time expired. The bell rang but the two continued fighting for another two minutes. When they finally stopped, Imanari asked the audience if they could understand Motojima’s feelings and if he deserves to have make his pro debut? The audience applauded his efforts. Imanari told him pro wrestling is tough and scares him because he has seen so many people get injured but the determination to overcome those fears is why he is here with Ohka supporting GanPro. For the last 12 years they’ve been waiting for a guy like Motojima to join them. Ohka confirmed the debut is going ahead and he advised the trainee never to forget to be grateful to the fans.

During the show Michiyoshi Mishima announced more matches for the 26th August Korakuen Hall show. MAO is coming to GanPro to team with Fuminori Abe & Tyson Maeguchi to take on Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Takuya Wada. Also the Ganbare☆Joshi match for the show will be Yuna Manase & YuuRI Vs Moeka Haruhi & Hanako Nakamori.

GanPro also announced that their next Korakuen show after August will be on 27th December.

6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Mizuki Watase & Shigehiro Irie (c) defeated Toru Sugiura & Munetatsu Nakamura when Watase pinned Nakamura with the Venetian (19:03).
*V5 for Mizuki Watase & Shigehiro Irie.

Toru Sugiura & Munetatsu Nakamura wanted to be a big deal going into the main event so they made their entrance by driving a car into Shin-Kiba 1st RING! In the preview match last month Mizuki Watase used an Arm Lock submission he named the NAGISA to take Nakamura to the brink of injury. He used the move on Nakamura again in this match but this time Nakamura was able to escape it. He tried to gain some momentum on Watase but Shigehiro Irie was there to stop that from happening. Watase had to beat the determination out of Nakamura before he could get a three count with the Venetian. He bowed after the match to show respect but Nakamura was in such an emotional state he slapped Watase in response. Watase took it in his stride and told the fans Nakamura is a talent that Ganbare☆Pro is proud of. However Watase wants GanPro to grow and fill bigger buildings than Shin-Kiba. He will be facing Jun Kasai at Korakuen Hall on 26th August to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut. He believes when he beats Kasai it will blow up GanPro to even greater heights!

Sugiura also had praise to give Nakamura backstage. As far as he sees it, Nakamura is no longer Young Ganbare or the future of GanPro. He is a star for GanPro now! Nakamura agrees because new rookies have arrived and he does not want to be lumped in with them. He wants to continue teaming with Sugiura so they can go win the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles together.

The first time Masaaki Mochizuki & Ken Ohka have teamed up could not have gotten any better for them. When their tag match broke down into chaos, Ohka went and gave Shinichiro Tominaga the Flame Spear and Mochizuki finished him off with the Twister Brainbuster. With a 100% victory record (they’ve only had one match) Ohka thinks the two of them can go straight into challenging for the SOG Tag Titles. Mochizuki couldn’t believe it is that easy to challenge for a title in GanPro but he decided the team isn’t going to work out and he declined the offer. The reason is because Mochizuki has his eyes on a bigger prize. He wants to fight Yumehito Imanari for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title! Imanari quickly agreed to it and Michiyoshi Mishima was overjoyed to book the match for 26th August as long as Dragongate gives him permission. Mochizuki assured him that they don’t have a show that day so he is 99.999999% certain they will approve it.

Keisuke Ishii took a big risk in teaming with Leatherface and it blew up in his face. They ended up getting in each other’s way once too often and Leatherface ended up attacking Ishii instead of the other team! When the monster left the ring in anger, Shuichiro Katsumura picked up the pieces and pinned Ishii to win.

It was a big day for YuuRI because not only did she wrestle in a new outfit but she defeated Mio Shirai all by herself too. The result completely rips up the plan Shirai had to stay in GanPro. Had she won the match she would have thrown out a challenge to anyone in the promotion to fight her at Korakuen on 26th August. But in the aftermath of losing today’s match she hasn’t received any further booking offers from GanPro. She doesn’t want to believe it because GanPro is built on losers getting second chances. She wonders if she needs to go have a talk with Ohka to get another booking.

The name of Tyson Maeguchi’s finisher is a phrase that’s normally used to politely asked to be excused. The actual move is a Pumping Knee Strike to the face and there’s not really a polite way to do that.

There was a public exhibition involving the trainee Sentaro Motojima before the show began. He fought a five minute practice match with Ohka where the aim was simply to last the time limit rather than win or lose. Motojima still tried to pin Ohka after giving him a Body Slam but only got a one count out of it. Ohka then did a Body Slam of his own and held Motojima in a Crab Hold until the time expired.

GanPro’s sort of friendly rivalry with FREEDOMS is not ending here. At the end of the show Takashi Sasaki confronted Ohka and Katsumura telling them there is still a lot to happen between the two groups. He likes the inter-promotional matches and wants more to help liven up the indies. There will be GanPro Vs FREEDOMS matches taking place on the 11th August GanPro show, the 17th August FREEDOMS show and the 26th August Korakuen show.

1. Ken Ohka & Choun-Shiryu defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Ali Najima when Ohka pinned Najima with the Flame Spear (9:05).
2. Keisuke Ishii defeated Shota Kawakami with a Knee Drop (6:40).
3. GanPro Ultimate Rules: Shuichiro Katsumura defeated Thanomsak Toba by Referee Stoppage with a Body-locking Sleeper Hold (2:20).
4. Yoshiko Hasegawa’s Last Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling Match: Moeka Haruhi, Yuna Manase & Banny Oikawa defeated YuuRI, Yoshiko Hasegawa & Riara when Manase pinned Hasegawa with the Suzuki Dynamic (12:22).
5. Mizuki Watase defeated Munetatsu Nakamura by TKO when Watase used the NAGISA on Nakamura and Toru Sugiura threw in the towel (12:54).
6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Yumehito Imanari (c) defeated Tyson “Ultimate” Maeguchi with the Power Bomb (12:36).
*V5 for Yumehito Imanari.

Given that Tyson “Ultimate” Maeguchi is digging deep into his combat sports roots he aimed to beat Yumehito Imanari by knockout. But Imanari’s faith in pro wrestling won out in the end. He was reminded of the time Keiji Muto fought Don Frye and Muto said he had no choice but to prepare for his Frye’s punches. Imanari was able to beat the 10 counts, block Maeguchi’s punches and drop him with a Power Bomb to get the win in the end. Imanari gave praise to Maeguchi after the match for being who he wants to be, which is a goal of Ganbare☆Pro. He found a way to mix together kickboxing with pro wrestling and take it all over the indies. Imanari brought up that they recently wrestled a match together at a okonomiyaki restaurant in Suidobashi. He congratulated Maeguchi on becoming a real kickboxing pro wrestler and told him they should wrestle each other in that restaurant again.

Mizuki Watase kept taunting Munetatsu Nakamura with the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Title belt which fired Nakamura up for to fight him. Watase taunted him again by screaming Nakamura will never win the belt like this. He put Nakamura in a Front Neck Lock with an Arm Lock added on but Nakamura wouldn’t give up. His tag partner Toru Sugiura threw in a towel from ringside to forfeit the match. Nakamura complained about it but Sugiura explained afterward, asking him what if he broke his arm? If it was a title match he’d understand losing one or two arms behind but it’s not worth doing it for this match. Watase understood Sugiura’s point and told both of them to bring this same feeling with them for the title bout next month. Sugiura & Nakamura promised that when they win the SOG Tag Titles they will be all over Shukan Puroresu and Wrestle Universe!

All of the Ganbare☆Joshi division gathered together for Yoshiko Hasegawa’s final match in GanPro before she retires from pro wrestling. Riara returned to GanPro for the occasion and even HARUKAZE showed up to be the ring announcer. Hasegawa got to start off the match with Moeka Haruhi. Then YuuRI & Riara helped beat down Yuna Manase so Hasegawa could put her in the Muffler Hold but Banny Oikawa cut her off. Manase was able to get the pin on Hasegawa by giving her the Suzuki Dynamic, a move she hasn’t used for a while in GanPro. After the match Manase said she was so nervous about today that she forgot her wrestling boots and had to borrow Ken Ohka’s boots for the match. She told Hasegawa she will always be a part of GanJo as long as she keeps trying. So if she doesn’t feel like trying anymore she will always be allowed to come back and wrestle matches to find her strength again. Hasegawa then surprised Manase with a roll up and everyone else did a three count so they could all call Hasegawa the winner.

Ken Ohka has been inspired recently by Masaaki Mochizuki challenging for the Open The Dream Gate Title at the age of 55 years old. He wants to put the message out there that he would like to team with Mochizuki for a match on 19th July.

In his post-show comments, Imanari brought up that today has been a busy day for the Ibushi Wrestling Institute. He and Maeguchi fought each other in GanPro, Kota Ibushi returned to AEW and shootboxer Yukimitsu Takahashi won his fight today. So in Imanari’s mind today was like a birthday for the Ibushi Wrestling Institute.

There are different special rules for all five matches on the show. Match #1 is the first to get a total score of seven in pin counts wins. Match #4 is a mystery even to BASARA because no explanation was given with the title. Match #5 is a Lumberjack Match.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW SPRING TOUR 2025 IN KOFU”, 21/06/2025
Yamanashi Kose Sports Park Gymnasium Sub-Arena (Kofu City)

-. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League – Round 1: Pom Harajuku defeated Haruna Neko by Forfeit.
1. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League – Round 1: Shino Suzuki Vs Uta Takami
2. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League – Round 1: Haru Kazashiro Vs Ren Konatsu
3. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League – Round 1: Kaya Toribami Vs Chika Nanase
4. Maki Itoh & Ivy Steele Vs Moka Miyamoto & HIMAWARI
5. Shoko Nakajima, Hyper Misao & Mahiro Kiryu Vs Yuki Aino, Yoshiko Hasegawa & Kira Summer
6. Rika Tatsumi & Toga Vs Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara
7. Mizuki, Suzume & Arisu Endo Vs Miu Watanabe, Raku & Pom Harajuku

The preliminary qualifiers for the Tokyo Princess Cup have reached a bump in the road due to illnesses and injuries so three matches are happening at this show instead of two.

Both Hyper Misao and Kira Summer have been cleared to return. Summer won’t be having her delayed qualifier match just yet though. She and Misao will both be part of a 6-Woman Tag to shake off any ring rust they picked up over the last month.

Yuki Arai and Mifu Ashida are both missing the show because of schedule conflicts.

This is supposed to be Haruna Neko’s homecoming show but she cannot wrestle due to injury. She will still be there and a special event will be held for her after the show ends.

GANBARE☆PRO “BLUE VELVET 2025”, 22/06/2025
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Ken Ohka & Choun-Shiryu Vs Shinichiro Tominaga & Ali Najima
2. Keisuke Ishii Vs Shota Kawakami
3. Mizuki Watase Vs Munetatsu Nakamura
4. GanPro Ultimate Rules: Shuichiro Katsumura Vs Thanomsak Toba
5. Yoshiko Hasegawa’s Last Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling Match: Moeka Haruhi, Yuna Manase & Banny Oikawa Vs YuuRI, Yoshiko Hasegawa & Riara
6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Yumehito Imanari (c) Vs Tyson “Ultimate” Maeguchi

The next Spirit Of Ganbare World Title defence for Yumehito Imanari has gotten a little bit more dangerous. Tyson Maeguchi is fully embracing his combat sports background by turning into Tyson “Ultimate” Maeguchi. MMA fighters have historically overpowered pro wrestlers in Japan so Imanari’s title run might be facing its biggest threat yet.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW INSPIRATION”, 28/06/2025
TOKYO SQUARE In Itabashi

1. Shoko Nakajima Vs Ren Konatsu
2. 3 Minute Exhibition Match: Ai Shimizu Vs Yoshiko Hasegawa
3. Suzume & Arisu Endo Vs Gabai Ji-chan & Mahiro Kiryu
4. Tae Honma & Miyuki Takase Vs Yoshiko Hasegawa & Kaya Toribami
*Special Referee: Nao Kakuta
5. Mizuki & Miu Watanabe Vs Haru Kazashiro & Uta Takami

As a special bonus, Nao Kakuta will appear on the show as the special referee for Match #4. She has ties with Tae Honma, Miyuki Takase and Yoshiko Hasegawa. She’s also had many matches with Kaya Toribami over the years so Toribami shouldn’t be treated like the odd one out.

Interesting early matchup for Ren Konatsu. The agility she has already shown goes hand in hand with Shoko Nakajima’s wrestling style.

June 8, 2025

DDT/NJPW “ONE-SIDED MATCH ~SUPER SASADANGO MACHINE VS TORU YANO~”, 09/06/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. DDT Pro Wrestling x New Japan Pro Wrestling One-Sided Match: Super Sasadango Machine Vs Toru Yano

Yesterday Super Sasadango Machine gave an impassioned PowerPoint Presentation to explain the history behind this DDT Vs New Japan one match show. He and Toru Yano have both taken past interactions between the two promotions personally and want to settle things their own way. There will be several wrestlers from both companies getting involved one way or another. Antonio Honda and YOH will be the special support ambassadors at ringside. MAO and El Desperado will both be there for special separate autograph sessions. Kazuma Sumi and Daiki Nagai will be working young boy duties. Yukinori Matsui and Kenta Sato have been appointed as the two referees. Also Inoue Mic and Makoto Abe will be the two ring announcers.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SAYURI NAMBA’S DREAM COME TRUE SPECIAL”, 14/06/2025

3. Shoko Nakajima & Chika Nanase Vs Mahiro Kiryu & Toga
4. Special Rounds Match: Kazuki Hirata Vs Hideki “Shrek” Sekine
5. LEONA Vs Antonio Honda
6. Mizuki & Suzume (w/ Sayuri Namba) Vs X & X (/w X)

I haven’t seen any hints out there as to who the other team in the main event is going to be. They’re also going to have a third person in their corner too to counter Sayuri Namba.

BASARA “BASARA 281 ~OJI NI KITSUNE 29~”, 15/06/2025
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Martial Arts Health Army Vs Sports Fighting Army: X Vs X

Martial Arts Health Army: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA, Takumi Tsukamoto, Minoru Fujita, Tsutomu Oosugi, Banana Senga & Ayumu Honda

Sports Fighting Army: Takato Nakano, Ryota Nakatsu, Isami Kodaka, Daichi Kazato, SAGAT, Daiki Shimomura, Masato Kamino & Lil’ Kraken

An argument between Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Takato Nakano became the inspiration for BASARA’s next team challenge show. Hiroshi thinks martial arts is the best way to stay healthy while Nakano believes other forms of sport is the better way.

DDT “CHARISMANIA II”, 18/06/2025

6. GREATEST WRESTLING MATCH EVER: Dick Togo Vs Daisuke Sasaki

A tag team battle of some big boys is the final match added to “CHARISMANIA II”. One team is MJ Paul & Minoru Fujita representing DAMNATION T.A. Their opponents are the two freelancers So Daimonji & Ryoma Tsukamoto.

BASARA “BASARA 282 ~UTAGE AKA – HIEN~”, 25/06/2025
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Daiki Shimomura & Takato Nakano Vs Thanomsak Toba & Tyson “Ultimate” Maeguchi
2. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA (c) Vs Lil’ Kraken & Akira Jo

It’s looking like a new group has formed in BASARA, one with a bond as thick as blood. Lil’ Kraken claims that he is part of a Super Family with Akira Jo, Minoru Fujita & SAGAT. He & Jo will be challenging Hyakusho Ikki for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. The champs apparently have Ayumu Honda joining their side but he is not booked for this show.

Tyson Maeguchi is living up to his promise of becoming “Ultimate” whenever he will fight with his gloves on. Why else would he be teaming with Thanomsak Toba again?

DDT “KING OF KINGS ~ARASHI’S JUNE SHOWDOWN~”, 29/06/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

0. Dark Match: Akito & Kazuma Sumi Vs Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida
1. Jun Akiyama, Daichi Sato & Soma Takao Vs Toru Owashi, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada
2. 3 Way Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Hideki Okatani Vs MAO & KANON (w/ KIMIHIRO) Vs Shunma Katsumata & To-y
3. Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Kumadori Vs MJ Paul & Ilusion
4. International Special Tag Match: Mansoor & Mason Madden Vs Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata
5. Special Tag Match: Minoru Suzuki & Yuki Ueno Vs Shinya Aoki & Yuya Koroku
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) Vs Yukio Naya & Yuki Iino
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Chris Brookes (c) Vs Kazusada Higuchi

Four months of recovery time was enough time to keep Yuki Iino away from the ring. He was eager to come back and jumped at the opportunity to team with Yukio Naya so they could challenge Astronauts for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

Poison Sawada JULIE will be at the show to unveil the new Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship belt. The second generation belt will continue the long, long, long lineage of the title. JULIE is currently the 1,471st champion as of this post.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’25”, 21/07/2025
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. International Princess Title: Suzume (c) Vs Moka Miyamoto
2. Princess Tag Team Titles: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe
3. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) Vs Yuki Arai

Later this month Hyper Misao will be back from injury and just in time too because Kyoraku Kyomei now have their next Princess Tag Team Titles defence on the horizon. Last year when Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi had their match for the Princess Of Princess Title, Tatsumi afterwards said Daydream were done teaming together because she believed Watanabe no longer needed her. Watanabe didn’t agree with that and the team was left in limbo for almost a year. Yesterday the two reunited and denied any claims that Daydream had disbanded. They are as united as ever and will prove it by going after the Princess Tag Titles again.

Will it be third time’s the charm for Moka Miyamoto. She has challenged for the International Princess Title twice and lost both times to Miu Watanabe and Yuki Arai. She is giving it another go now that Suzume is the champion and she has a recent pinfall over her that qualifies her for a rightful title shot.

GANBARE☆PRO “GRAND BLEU 2025” Results

June 1, 2025

GANBARE☆PRO “GRAND BLEU 2025”, 01/06/2025
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center
137 Fans

1. Keisuke Goto defeated Shota Kawakami with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (9:06).
2. Ken Ohka, PSYCHO & Moeka Haruhi defeated Shinichiro Tominaga, Daisuke® & Banny Oikawa when PSYCHO pinned Daisuke® with the God Trap (10:54).
3. Yuna Manase & Mio Shirai defeated YuuRI & Nanami Hatano when Shirai pinned YuuRI with the Purple Flash (9:52).
4. GanPro Ultimate Rules: Tyson Maeguchi & Thanomsak Toba defeated Shuichiro Katsumura & Takuya Wada by Knockout when Maeguchi knocked out Katsumura with a Right Backhand Blow (14:00).
5. Keisuke Ishii, Toru Sugiura & Munetatsu Nakamura defeated Yumehito Imanari, Mizuki Watase & Shigehiro Irie when Nakamura pinned Watase with the German Suplex (21:34).

Munetatsu Nakamura was recently given the nickname “GanPro’s Promising Hope” and he is starting to prove he deserves the moniker. He scored the pinfall on Mizuki Watase in the main event thanks to some help from Toru Sugiura. The two set Watase up with a German Suplex for a nearfall. Then Sugiura hit Watase with a Rolling Elbow and Nakamura landed another German Suplex to get the three count. Nakamura then challenged Watase & Shigehiro Irie for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles on 22nd June. However both Irie and Sugiura have bookings elsewhere that day. Michiyoshi Mishima decided the title match can happen on 19th July and 22nd June will get a Watase Vs Nakamura singles match instead.

The GanPro Ultimate Rules fitted Tyson Maeguchi really well and he ended up knocking out Shuichiro Katsumura to win the match for his team. In fact he likes the rules so much he might start calling himself Tyson “Ultimate” Maeguchi whenever he fights with gloves on. Bolstered by the win, he approached Yumehito Imanari at the end of the show and challenged him for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title. He told Imanari he’s been treading the muddy waters of indie wrestling for the last year and finally climbed his way up to this point. Imanari agreed and wants the title match to happen on 22nd June. He pointed out that they both belong to the Ibushi Wrestling Institute and he knows what it is like to get stuck in the muddy waters of independent wrestling.

Mio Shirai is getting comfortable being in the ring again ever since she returned from retirement five months ago. After beating YuuRI today she wonders if YuuRI has been getting any stronger too wrestling in Ganbare☆Pro and Ice Ribbon? YuuRI may think she is but she should be training even harder if she wants to beat Shirai. If she has a problem with that then they can have a singles match against each other. GanPro obliged and booked the match for 19th July.

Mishima introduced everyone to a new trainee. Sentaro Motojima was born in Kagoshima on 4th October, 2001. He is currently getting ready for his debut match and will participate in exhibition matches on upcoming shows as part of his preparations.

An injury report was given out by Tokyo Joshi Pro today for three of their wrestlers. Hyper Misao’s arm injury has been revealed to be ligament damage in her right elbow and she will remain out of action until late June. Haruna Neko picked up another knee injury and will miss this weekend’s shows. She is currently having it examined so TJPW will give an update once her diagnosis is known.

Kira Summer has a thigh injury and will be resting for another 4 weeks. Her Tokyo Princess Cup qualifier match with Wakana Uehara that was meant to happen on Saturday is postponed until she returns. However if she is still not cleared to wrestle by late June she may have to forfeit the match.

Parts of the undercard for Saturday’s show has been changed because of Neko and Summer’s injuries. There is now one less match and Uehara takes Neko’s place in Match #2.

Match #2 & #3 are mixed around to fill in the gaps Neko and Summer opened up. Ivy Steele is bumped up the card a little while Moka Miyamoto swaps sides.

The trainee Konatsu will now go by the name Ren Konatsu for her debut. She was born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka on 26th May 2001 and is 153cm tall. She was originally an SKE48 fan and started watching TJPW to follow Yuki Arai. However it was Suzume who inspired Konatsu to try wrestling out for herself so Suzume gets to be her very first opponent.

GANBARE☆PRO “GRAND BLEU 2025”, 01/06/2025
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center

1. Shota Kawakami Vs Keisuke Goto
2. Ken Ohka, PSYCHO & Moeka Haruhi Vs Shinichiro Tominaga, Daisuke® & Banny Oikawa
3. YuuRI & Nanami Hatano Vs Yuna Manase & Mio Shirai

5. Yumehito Imanari, Mizuki Watase & Shigehiro Irie Vs Keisuke Ishii, Toru Sugiura & Munetatsu Nakamura

A shootfight style ruleset is being tried out by Ganbare☆Pro for Match #4. The GanPro Ultimate Rules can be won by knockout, submission or referee stoppage. There are no rope breaks and moves involving use of the ropes or corners are prohibited. Also double team moves and tag partners breaking up the opponent’s holds are not allowed. Should a grounded fighter position himself onto the ring apron the referee will shout “Don’t Move” and the match will pause for the wrestlers to reposition themselves over to the centre of the ring. Intentional fouls are an immediate disqualification while non-serious fouls result in a warning. Two warnings will result in a disqualification. Given the fighting styles of Shuichiro Katsumura, Takuya Wada, Tyson Maeguchi and Thanomsak Toba they should all adapt to the rules no problem.

6. STRANGE LOVE CONNECTION Vs The 37KAMIINA!: MAO & KANON (w/ KIMIHIRO) Vs Shunma Katsumata & To-y

Today was MAO’s final block match in the Best Of The Super Juniors tournament. He was able to beat SHO using everything he learned in DDT throughout his career and finished tied for first in his block with 12 points. However due to head-to-head tiebreakers he did not qualify for the final. I will write a full report for his tour with New Japan next week. Next week he comes back home to rejoin KANON and fight some old friends.

The rules for the Lumberjack Pool Crocodile Match have not been explained yet. Not even those in charge of DDT knows what it’s going to be.

The next match in Toru Owashi’s 20th Anniversary series is a partial reunion of DISASTER BOX! He will be in the same match as HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno and Kazuki Hirata. Sadly Naomi Yoshimura will not be in attendance to complete the reunion.

Now that Danshoku Dieno is done with being a Strong Style wrestler, he’ll have to find his strength somewhere else to fight four opponents at once.

Two weeks before Yoshiko Hasegawa retires from pro wrestling she gets to be in the ring with Momo Kohgo one last time. The two wrestlers both debuted in Actwrez Girl’z back in 2019 so this it will be the perfect time for the two classmates to reunite and face each other. It is also Sanshiro Takagi’s way of getting to book the rare Stardom Vs TJPW match on his show.

One of the last additions to the card is the Pro Wrestling Up Town pair of Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Momoka Hanazono taking on the once retired but not really anymore duo of Munenori Sawa & Mio Shirai.

Here comes the latest American tag team to make their DDT debuts. Straight from the lands of AEW and ROH it’s MxM Collection! It’s the gatekeeper team of Dieno & Hirata!

BASARA “BASARA 285 ~CONTINUATION IS POWER~”, 03/08/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) Vs X

There is currently no one worthy to challenge Ryota Nakatsu for the Union MAX Title. Normally at this time of year it would be the winner of Chouten ~Itadaki~ but that just so happens to be Nakatsu this time around. It’s not possible for him to fight himself so he is going to spend the summer wrestling on BASARA shows to decide for himself who should be the No. 1 Contender. He will not defend the title before then.
