2. Ethan Page defeated Tomoya Hirata with the Spinning Dwayne (9:30).
3. 1st Sanshiro Takagi DNA SUPER TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 1: Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda defeated Keisuke Okuda & Kengo by Disqualification when Okuda attacked the referee (10:33).
4. Minoru Tanaka defeated Mizuki Watase with the B”D”F (12:23).
5. 1st Sanshiro Takagi DNA SUPER TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 1: Naomi Yoshimura & Akiro Jo defeated Daiki Shimomura & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Yoshimura pinned Shimatani with the Shonenba (11:36).
6. 1st Sanshiro Takagi DNA SUPER TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 1: Kouki Iwasaki & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Kota Umeda & Shunma Katsumata when Iwasaki pinned Katsumata with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster (15:04).

Round 1 is in the books and is highlighted by the DNA/BASARA combination of Kouki Iwasaki & Ryota Nakatsu beating Kota Umeda & Shunma Katsumata. Nakatsu drilled Katsumata with a Head Kick then threw him over with a Dragon Suplex. Iwasaki finished him off with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster for the three count.

The Naomi Kingdom had mixed results in the first round but their presence was felt for sure. Naomi Yoshimura & Akiro Jo eliminated Gran MilliMeters to advance to the semi final. However Keisuke Okuda & Kengo got themselves disqualified against Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda. Okuda & Kengo kept assaulting their opponents until the referee tried to stop them. They turned their attacks to the referee and got themselves DQ’ed as a result.

Choun-Shiryu & Rekka were plagued by bumping into each other multiple times late in the opening match. Rising HAYATO got them to collide one more time and MAO hit Rekka with the Michinoku Driver I to win the match. Shiryu & Rekka argued with each other as they walked away from the ring. Backstage Rekka says Taiwan and China do not match. He now hates Chinese people and doesn’t want to team with a Chinese wrestler ever again!

The semi-finals on 5th April are MAO & Rising HAYATO Vs Naomi Yoshimura & Akiro Jo and Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda Vs Kouki Iwasaki & Ryota Nakatsu. MAO said his team will control DNA with young power. HAYATO usually doesn’t get many chances to wrestle inside Shin-Kiba 1st RING. He wants to win the tournament so he can wrestle there more often. Nakatsu told everyone he is only here to win the prize money.

Minoru Tanaka used his match against Mizuki Watase to prepare for his GHC Jr. Tag Team Title shot at the 11th March NOAH show. He went through his normal preparation by eating bento steak before the match. He was impressed by Watase and even believed he could have lost to him. Tanaka said he would like to wrestle him again then came up with an idea to have a tag team match next time. He is available to appear at “DNA 43” on 5th April.

What a wonderful time it is for Isami Kodaka. He now has four championships currently in his possession. He has the Union MAX Title from BASARA, shares the STRONGEST-K TAG Titles with Tank Nagai in K-Dojo, and just a few days ago won both the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title and the International Jr. Heavyweight Title from Sean Guinness in Zero1. His only complaints are a busy schedule of title defences in his future and carrying around a heavy suitcase containing four championship belts to and from shows.

1. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles Match: Saki-sama & Azusa Christie (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita & Marika Kobashi

NEO Biishiki-gun have purposefully nominated Marika Kobashi as one of their next challengers knowing that she is one of the weakest girls on the roster. Luckily for her, Miyu Yamashita wants to fight by her side. Was this a plan that backfired for Saki-sama & Azusa Christie or have they found a way to sneak into the singles title picture?

1. Keisuke Ishii defeated Mizuki Watase with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (9:01).
2. 4 Way Match: Tetsuya Endo defeated Toru Owashi, Kazusada Higuchi and Antonio Honda when Endo pinned Honda with the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb (9:22).
3. Falls Count Anywhere Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Kazuki Hirata defeated MAO & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Takagi gave Shimatani an Anal Explosion (11:13).
4. KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Kota Umeda, Kouki Iwasaki & Yuki Ueno when Sakaguchi pinned Ueno with the Right Knee Of God (10:41).
5. Daisuke Sasaki, Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie defeated Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Ethan Page when Sasaki submitted Katsumata with the Cross Facelock (14:08).
6. Makoto Oishi 39 Year Old Local Triumph! Fuji Specialty Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Soma Takao defeated Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi when HARASHIMA pinned Oishi with the Somato (16:31).

Makoto Oishi’s return home was made difficult by Danshoku Dino even though they were on the same team. Dino would not to tag in Oishi unless he admitted he was gay. Whenever Oishi denied it, Dino would refuse to tag him and continue to wrestle. It got so distracting that Mizuki Watase stood on the apron and told Oishi that he is his friend and he will support him if Dino won’t. They began to sing about Mt. Fuji and soon Kazuki Hirata joined in. Dino got so jealous that he finally reached out and tagged Oishi into the match. Sadly they lost the match to HARASHIMA & Soma Takao. Oishi told Dino he is not gay but he still loves him.

Konosuke Takeshita was taken off the show due to a lower back injury. Parts of the card was shuffled around and the biggest change was Ethan Page taking Takeshita’s spot in the ALL OUT Vs DAMNATION 6-Man Tag match. He went toe to toe with Shuji Ishikawa and stopped Daisuke Sasaki from doing the Diving Elbow Drop. Ishikawa & Mad Paulie got rid of Page with a Double Choke Slam then Sasaki put Shunma Katsumata in the Cross Facelock to make him submit. In the post-match interview Ishikawa said if Takeshita’s back isn’t in perfect condition in time for Sumo Hall then Takeshita will be no match for him. Ishikawa thinks if that is the case then Takeshita should be removed from the KO-D Openweight Title match. He’s fine with Ethan Page replacing him.

After Sanshiro Takagi was run over by a van at last Friday’s show in Shinkiba, he demanded that his match today be another Falls Count Anywhere match. Takagi wanted to teach MAO a lesson and brought in fireworks, or “state of the art anal blast machines” as he calls them. Takagi and MAO brawled in and out of the building with Kazuki Hirata and Nobuhiro Shimatani trying to catch up with them. A kettlebell was brought into the match and thrown about like a bowling ball. Takagi and MAO later went out to the ring truck and had a duel with loose turnbuckle pads. At the end, Hirata held down MAO on the top of the truck while Takagi placed the fireworks into Shimatani’s ass and set them off to win the match. Takagi told MAO he was next and at Sumo Hall Takagi will use fireworks that are 100 times mores powerful!

Antonio Honda got the advantage in the 4 Way Match by giving all of his opponents nipple twisters. Tetsuya Endo grabbed Honda’s hands and made Honda give himself a nipple twister then pinned him with the Torture Rack Bomb.

1. Daichi Kazato & Hiroshi Kondo defeated Kazuhiro Tamura & Daiki Shimomura when Kazato pinned Shimomura after the Anna Cutter and Pyonkichi Splash combo (8:45).
2. Great Reversal Pro Wrestling Trial “Suspect Sanshiro Takagi”: Sanshiro Takagi defeated Gouma Ryu and Hercules Senga when Takagi pinned Senga with the Stone Cold Stunner (9:38).
3. Ryuichi Sekine & Yuji Hino defeated Takato Nakano & Akiyori Takizawa when Sekine submitted Nakano with the Let’s Combine (9:51).
4. Doctor! Hardcore Cans 6-Man Tag Match: Takumi Tsukamoto, Masashi Takeda & Yasu Urano defeated FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & SAGAT when Tsukamoto pinned SAGAT with the Zudon onto a steel can (15:42).
5. BASARA Three Major Single Match: Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi defeated Fuminori Abe with the Perfect Plex (12:28).
6. BASARA Three Major Single Match: Manabu Hara defeated Ryota Nakatsu by TKO with an Armlock Chicken Wing (13:04).
7. Union MAX Title – BASARA Three Major Single Match: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Tsutomu Oosugi with the Isamuashi Zan (18:20).
*V4 for Isami Kodaka.

Tsutomu Oosugi did what was asked of him and wrestled in his regular outfit for the main event. He was accompanied by Daichi Kazato but Kazato disappeared after he was hit by a Suicide Dive from Isami Kodaka. Oosugi did as good as he could given his lack of singles experience but Kodaka came out on top to keep the Union MAX Title. Kodaka’s victory speech was interrupted by Best Stretchman V3. Stretchman was deeply impressed by Oosugi’s effort but he was limited by his human body. Stretchman said it is time for a change and it should be left to him. He laughed, shook Kodaka’s hand and helped Oosugi exit the ring. Kodaka didn’t understand what was going on and was upset not to hear Oosugi speak.

Manabu Hara was too much for Ryota Nakatsu to handle. Nakatsu rolled into a Cross Armbar and Hara turned it into an Armlock Chicken Wing. Nakatsu wouldn’t give up but the referee stopped the match for his safety.

Fuminori Abe called his match with Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi his most difficult yet in BASARA. It was his first time getting into a style war with someone who wrestles very differently than he does. Abe describes Ryuichi’s aura as unique and delicious. The match felt like he was getting drunk somewhere in America. Ryuichi used the Perfect Plex to win because he misses Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi.

After the finish of the Hardcore Can Match, Masashi Takeda asked Yasu Urano to Body Slam him onto flat chair as a way to say thank you. Urano went along with the idea but fled the ring when Takeda wanted to do the same to him.

Yuji Hino got rid of Akiyori Takizawa with the Fuck’n Bomb while Ryuichi Sekine made Takato Nakano tap out to the Let’s Combine.

Court was in session when Hercules Senga called Sanshiro Takagi in to face accusations of fraud. Senga argued that Ippanjin Munenori Sawa should not be wrestling at Sumo Hall later this month because he is a salaryman and salarymen are forbidden from taking side jobs. Takagi was confident that he was in the right. Gouma Ryu even got the audience to applaud him when he said Sawa’s involvement on the show is what the fans wanted. Ryuichi Sekine was brought in as a witness but he was nervous and Takagi threatened him to stop talking. Both Ryu and Senga were offended by Takagi’s threats and they joined forces to fight him. Takagi gave both of them Stunners and pinned Senga to be declared innocent. Takagi said he won’t be paying any legal bills and left the ring.

The opening match included wrestlers from HEAT-UP and was used to promote their next show on 10th March. The ending had Daichi Kazato and Hiroshi Kondo combining their finishers to give Daiki Shimomura the Anna Cutter and Pyonkichi Splash at the same time.

5. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Saki-sama & Azusa Christie (c) defeated Yuu & Nodoka-oneesan when Christie pinned Nodoka with the Christie Agape (13:52).
*V1 for NEO Biishiki-gun.

Saki-sama felt disappointed by BRAVE☆MATES after the main event. They raised her expectations then failed to reach them. Saki nominated Marika Kobashi to be one of the next challengers even though Kobashi lost her match today. Miyu Yamashita entered the ring and offered to team with Kobashi. She accepted and told everyone she wants to beat NEO Biishiki-gun at all costs.

Hyper Misao & Shoko Nakajima were teaming together today as representatives of the Tokyo Joshi Pro Moral Committee. Misao wanted to handle a serious problem within today’s society and also pro wrestling: bad courtesy showed by young people. This is where Yuki Kamifuku comes in. She was more interested in playing with her phone than wrestling in her match. She went around the ring taking selfies and pictures of the other girls while they wrestled. She also answered a phone call while waiting on the apron for a tag. Kamifuku’s partner Maki Itoh was also given some attention by the committee. Misao called her the root of all evil.

6. HARASHIMA & Keisuke Ishii defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Mizuki Watase when Ishii pinned Watase with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (11:55).
7. ALL OUT Vs DAMNATION!: Daisuke Sasaki, Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Shunma Katsumata when Ishikawa pinned Katsumata with the Splash Mountain (15:14).

Konosuke Takeshita went into the main event with his lower back taped up. Whatever condition he was in was made worse by DAMNATION focusing on his back including chair attacks from Shuji Ishikawa outside the ring. The Great Homo interfered in the match and dragged Tetsuya Endo away from the ring, leaving DAMNATION one man short. However Takeshita’s injury levelled the playing field and Ishikawa pinned Shunma Katsumata with the Splash Mountain. Ishikawa told Takeshita that there are only 23 days left to look forward to until he wins the KO-D Openweight Title and sings songs at Sumo Hall. Takeshita left Akito alone in the ring to give the show closing speech. When Akito was finished, Endo returned with The Great Homo chasing after him. Endo escaped when Homo missed a Moonsault and fled with Daisuke Sasaki. Homo caught up with Endo backstage and attacked him again.

HARASHIMA and Kazusada Higuchi got into a fight after their match. In the backstage interview HARASHIMA said he doesn’t like to get into conflict after the bell rings and the match ends but today his bad feelings against Higuchi were too strong to ignore. He’ll have to keep fighting Higuchi even if it causes more trouble. He even said he will do it again because Higuchi’s attacks in the fight didn’t hurt. Higuchi said he doesn’t want to lose his singles match against HARASHIMA on 11th March after he already lost to Naomichi Marufuji.

The Falls Count Anywhere Rule included two stipulations. The wrestlers weren’t allowed to leave Shin-Kiba 1st RING because of maintenance that was taking place next to it. Also they weren’t allowed to do anything that would make the venue manager Mr. Sato mad. Chinsuke Nakamura appeared out of character as Takuya Hanazawa and explained that he was too busy working the maintenance shift outside to participate. Sanshiro Takagi attacked him to start the match. Hanazawa disappeared while the other four brawled around the venue. The shutter gates opened up to show that Chinsuke was here after all! The match moved out to the parking lot which was still considered part of the venue. Kyoko Kimura was there and she got involved in the fighting. MAO did a Moonsault off of a van onto everyone then drove the van into Takagi, bouncing him back into ringside. MAO pinned Takagi and won the match but Yukinori Matsui was not happy with MAO’s method of victory. MAO threatened to blow up 1st RING with fireworks but that made Mr. Sato angry. MAO apologised and the show went into intermission.

Danshoku Dino took out a carton of milk from underneath the ring so he could power up the Lip Lock for Mad Paulie. They fought over the carton and it was spilled when Paulie gave Dino a Lou Thesz Press. Dino took out another carton, drank from it and gave Paulie the Lip Lock with his mouth filled with milk. Paulie spat the milk out and collapsed, making it an easy pin for Dino.

In his DDT debut, Canadian powerhouse Ethan Page beat Kouki Iwasaki with the RKEgo followed by a swinging Rock Bottom called the Spinning Dwayne. After the match Page told the audience this was his very first time in Japan and he didn’t know what to expect. When he went to a restaurant and ate some fried chicken before the show, he realised that he loves Japan!

Kota Umeda fared well in his first match against Shuten-dōji since leaving the group. He almost had Masahiro Takanashi beaten but the Umeda Driver was countered into the Bacchus to give Takanashi a close victory. Yuki Ueno doesn’t know if a month is long enough for his team to prepare for their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles Match but they will fight for DNA. Takanashi joked that Umeda’s new team should be called Booing 2018. He also told Umeda he can’t drink alcohol with them again unless he returns to Shuten-dōji with his head down.

Even though he was supposed to be impartial, Toru Owashi mostly helped out Makoto Oishi when he fought Kazuki Hirata. Oishi beat Hirata after he encouraged a dance battle between the two. Owashi asked Oishi to join T2Hide afterwards since Takagi has been unable to dedicate all of his attention to the unit since the CyberAgent sale. Hirata also encouraged Oishi to join. However Oishi told them he doesn’t want the unit to be called T2Hide, he doesn’t want to dance and he doesn’t want to team with a pig. He’ll consider it and get back to them in two days time at the Fuji show. Oishi ignored their handshakes and left them hanging.

Konosuke Takeshita, Soma Takao & Shunma Katsumata Vs KUDO, Akito & MAO is the main event of Saki Akai’s “DDT COLLECTION” show on 14th March. Akai has invited a stylist from Oscar Promotion to do the hair, makeup and also provide costumes for the main eventers on the day.

We’re heading into the final stretch on the road to Sumo Hall. Pretty much all of the card is set and the lead up matches in DDT this month will all be focused on “JUDGEMENT 2018”.

The special rule in the Falls Count Anywhere match involves the Shin-Kiba 1st RING management. All the wrestlers have been asked to behave themselves if the match takes them outside of the venue. If the staff gets angry at any of the wrestlers for what they do outdoors, the wrestlers in question will be disqualified from the match.

Makoto Oishi wants to join T2Hide and become its leader. Most of the group is okay with the first part so he will have to beat Kazuki Hirata to prove his worth.

This show is Ethan Page’s debut in Japan.

9. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) Vs Shuji Ishikawa

I didn’t understand this until recently but Munenori Sawa’s ring name in DDT was changed to Ippanjin Munenori Sawa. The change is because when Sawa retired from pro wrestling he became an “ippanjin” (a normal person). So that’s why whenever he came back to perform on shows he would do so dressed as a salarayman instead of his regular wrestling gear. It will be funny if he stays like this in New Orleans next month.

DDT “APRIL FOOL 2018”, 01/04/2018
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Gota Ihashi 5 Match Series – 1st Battle: Gota Ihashi Vs Koji Kanemoto
2. DDT Extreme Title: Yuko Miyamoto (c) Vs X

Miyamoto is already in the Ryogoku Falls Count Anywhere Match at “JUDGEMENT 2018” so he cannot defend the DDT Extreme Title until the next Korakuen Hall show afterwards. Good thing that show is only happening a week later.

Gota Ihashi is going through a five match series to improve himself and show Riki Choshu that he isn’t the worst wrestler ever. I don’t think Choshu cares.
