The DNA side score another big victory over the Naomi Kingdom! But there wasn’t time for celebrations. Yuki Ueno went straight to the point and challenged Naomi Yoshimura to a singles match on the next DNA show. It was accepted and the match takes place on 3rd June in Shinjuku. Ueno said he will punish the Naomi Kingdom and a win over Yoshimura might end their feud for good.
Ryota Nakatsu and Kouki Iwasaki got into blows after Match #4. After they were pulled apart Nakatsu yelled at Iwasaki until Iwasaki threw a chair at him. Nakatsu challenged him to a match next month.
Yuki Iino announced his first match back from injury will happen at the 3rd June show. His opponent is Kota Umeda. Iino wants to beat Umeda and take over his role as DDT’s next rising star.
Choun-Shiryu and Rekka put aside their differences after their match. Rekka said that he fought with all his strength and lost but he was still happy to wrestle Shiryu. Shiryu said that Asia is moving quickly with the times. According to him the time for problems between nations, borders and race is over. As proof of this, Shiryu gave Rekka a New Beijing T-shirt as a gift and asked him to represent New Beijing at the next DNA show. Rekka accepted because they are now friends.
At the start of the show Daiki Shimomura pointed out that there are less fans in the crowd than usual today. He encouraged everyone to raise their efforts to have exciting matches for those who came to see them.

6. Maji Manji Big Three Single Match: HARASHIMA defeated Tetsuya Endo by Disqualification when Mad Paulie attacked HARASHIMA (4:15).
7. Kota Umeda “Mad Dog” 7 Match Series – 2nd Match ~ Hardcore Match: Ryuji Ito defeated Kota Umeda with the Dragon Splash (11:05).

Kota Umeda’s journey of challenges entered it’s second phase with a Hardcore Match against the “Death Match Dragon” Ryuji Ito. Umeda was hit with chairs and a barbed wire baseball bat. However he got to return the favour by jumping off a ladder and splashing Ito through a table. Ito dodged the Penalty Kick and stunned Umeda with the Dragon Kick. A Superplex onto a pile of chairs got Ito a nearfall. Umeda couldn’t recover and was pinned with the Dragon Splash. Umeda learned after the match that his next opponent as part of his trial is Masato Tanaka! When the surprise of that announcement went away, Kazusada Higuchi challenged Umeda to a singles match at the 20th May Korakuen Hall show.

The match between HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo ended with Mad Paulie attacking HARASHIMA. Daisuke Sasaki entered the ring but needed a cane to move around because of his injury. He swung it at HARASHIMA but he ducked and Paulie took the blow. Soma Takao ran out to rescue HARASHIMA with a chair in hand. Takao was ready to attack when he turned around and hit HARASHIMA instead! Soma gave him the Gin And Tonic then removed his Smile Squash shirt to reveal a red lettered DAMNATION shirt underneath! Sasaki told everyone the big news. Soma Takao is DAMNATION’s fifth man! Takao told Sasaki he is not his pet. Takao was sick of HARASHIMA being selfish and this turn had been in the works for a long time.

A viewer poll determined the stipulation for Danshoku Dieno Vs Makoto Oishi. The loser would have to either get hit in the butt with a baseball bat, kiss Hisaya Imabayashi or get their hair styled into a perm. The AbemaTV audience chose the Perm option. Dieno won the match and asked Oishi to help him search for like minded souls. However Oishi has other plans. He thinks guys like Dieno, Antonio Honda and Super Sasadango Machine are now too old for DDT and it’s time for a new generation of wrestlers to replace them. Oishi will look for two young wrestlers to team with so they can destroy Dieno, Honda & Sasadango on 20th May.

Keisuke Ishii’s plan of targeting Shigehiro Irie’s right knee is working perfectly so far. Ishii won another match over Irie today. He said that exploiting Irie’s weakness has made him become more confident. Irie on the other hand is getting more and more furious over the situation. Over on the other end Shunma Katsumata is beginning to figure out what his own problem is. He reckons his heart is weak. Konosuke Takeshita agreed and told him that he has guts but that is different from having heart. His advice to Katsumata is not to be afraid of criticism or of getting beaten up more.

It looked like Yuki Ueno got the better of Higuchi when they brawled outside the ring. Ueno placed Higuchi on a table but by the time he got back into the ring and climbed the turnbuckle Higuchi sat back up, gave Ueno a look and got off the table. Ueno almost got lucky when he countered the Doctor Bomb into a Hurricanrana but Higuchi recovered and hit the Doctor Bomb properly for the win.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title was defended on “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” for the first time. Saki Akai went into the Battle Royal as the champion but the belt went to Masahiro Takanashi then Gorgeous Matsuno and ended with Nobuhiro Shimatani. When he walked up the ramp to leave he was attacked and Body Slammed by Sanshiro Takagi. The guest commentator Reina Fujie covered him but he kicked out, which counts as a successful title defence. Akai then kicked Shimatani in the face and pinned him to win back the title. Akai said her goal is to make the Iron Man Title recognisable around the world.

1. Takatimo Dragon, Hiratimo Dragon & Toru Owashi defeated Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Ueno & Daiki Shimomura by Disqualification when Shimomura unmasked Hiratimo (8:26).
2. Jason Kincaid & Mizuki Watase defeated Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Kincaid pinned Shimatani with the Philosopher’s Stomp (8:34).
3. Koji Yoshida & Kouki Iwasaki defeated Konosuke Takeshita & MAO when Iwasaki pinned MAO with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster (9:44).
4. KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi defeated HARASHIMA, Tomoya & Makoto Oishi when KUDO pinned Oishi with the Diving Double Knee Drop (12:45).
5. Dirty Single Match: Danshoku Dieno defeated Antonio Honda with a Finger Lock Armbar (14:06).
6. Special Single Match: Soma Takao defeated Tetsuya Endo with the Gin And Tonic (9:57).
7. Sapporo Specialty From The Northern Countries Special 4 Way Match: Keisuke Ishii defeated Shigehiro Irie, Kazusada Higuchi and Kota Umeda when Ishii pinned Irie with the Kneel Kick (10:22).
Shigehiro Irie was left in bad shape when Keisuke Ishii defeated him in the 4 Way Match. At first Irie was dominant. He wiped out Kazusada Higuchi with the Best Bomber then when Higuchi was seated in the corner, Irie gave Ishii a Cannonball Death Valley Driver into Higuchi. If that wasn’t enough, Irie later gave Higuchi a Piledriver on top of Ishii! Kota Umeda was there to cut off Irie’s pins. Irie Headbutted Umeda but Ishii got up and gave Irie a German Suplex. Ishii targeted Irie’s right knee until Irie had difficulty moving on his feet. That left him vulnerable to the Kneel Kick and gave Ishii a big victory. Irie was being checked on by his friends when Ishii grabbed the microphone. Ishii said it’s now ten years since he debuted in DDT and he now must win the KO-D Openweight Title! Backstage Irie said he will make Ishii regret ever challenging him for the title.
A heated match between Soma Takao and Tetsuya Endo was made even more hectic when Mad Paulie interfered and HARASHIMA came out to even the odds. Paulie had attacked HARASHIMA earlier in the show after Match #4 ended. Paulie dragged Yukinori Matsui out of the ring then hit Takao with a Lariat. Endo climbed the corner to finish the match but HARASHIMA appeared and Dropkicked Paulie into Endo! Takao gave Endo the Gin And Tonic while HARASHIMA revived Matsui so he could count the pin. Takao still wants to destroy Daisuke Sasaki but next on his hitlist is Mad Paulie!
Danshoku Dieno looked up Antonio Honda’s medical record before their match and discovered that Honda currently has an injured finger on his right hand. According to Honda’s doctor, if he does the Gongitsune sign with his hand one more time his fingers will crumble and fall apart! Honda couldn’t resist doing the sign so Dieno grabbed his hand and bent his finger in a Seated Finger Lock to make him give up. Honda mourned over not being able to do the pose until he recovers but he was still able to do a Too Sweet sign with Dieno.
At the beginning of the show Kouki Iwasaki told everyone he was hoping to win his match because he has never won in Hokkaido before. Well fortune was on his side today because he did win his match!
In the opener both Takatimo Dragon and Hiratimo Dragon unmasked behind the referee’s back. They handed their masks over to Daiki Shimomura and when the referee saw him with the masks he disqualified him.

*V1 for Isami Kodaka.
BASARA’s first visit to Sapporo was highlighted by Isami Kodaka match against Ikuto Hidaka with the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title and International Jr. Heavyweight Title both on the line. Kodaka came out wearing the same kind of “flame” mask that Hidaka had worn sometimes. Kodaka was able to bounce back from losing the Union MAX Title earlier in the week by successfully defending his remaining singles titles. After the match Kodaka joked that everybody makes Hidaka look like a fool. Hidaka corrected him and said only he and Yuko Miyamoto do. Kodaka told him that it was an honour to fight him at BASARA’s first Sapporo show. He then gave him 6,000 yen to pay for the “flame” mask he wore for his entrance.
Ryota Nakatsu tried to give Naoki Tanizaki a Cross Armbreaker but it was countered into a Reverse Implant. Nakatsu was able to kick out but a regular Implant after that was enough to keep him down.

Shigehiro Irie and Keisuke Ishii tried to fight each other after the main event but they were kept apart.
The hometown hero Makoto Oishi did his best but wasn’t able to beat Konosuke Takeshita. The Jikiden Tornado Clutch was kicked out of and Oishi was put away with the Surprise Rose.
HARASHIMA said it was nice to remember how intense KUDO’s Backspin Kick is. Masahiro Takanashi pushed for KUDO to win the DDT Extreme Title. He told everyone that last night KUDO went out drinking in the rain wearing a T-shirt. That’s how extreme he is! And the Extreme Title should only belong to the most extreme wrestler.
Hiratimo Dragon’s mask accidentally slipped off when he escaped from the Danshoku Driver and the mask got caught against Danshoku Dieno’s tights. That was still enough for the referee to disqualify Dieno.

6. Yuka Sakazaki, Maki Itoh & Mizuki defeated Miyu Yamashita, Marika Kobashi & Rika Tatsumi when Mizuki pinned Kobashi with the Cutie Special (14:47).
Rika Tatsumi had to get over her crush on Mizuki so she could wrestle her. The Ito Respect Army gave Marika Kobashi a Double DDT while Yuka Sakazaki wiped out Tatsumi & Miyu Yamashita with the Magical Girls Splash. Mizuki then pinned Kobashi with the Cutie Special. After the match Maki Itoh told Kobashi to get stronger for the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles Match later this month because Itoh doesn’t want to be in a boring match.
The poor referee assigned to the Maho Kurone Vs Su Yung match had his arms bitten by both at the same time. Yung hit Kurone with a rope assisted Pedigree and won with the Panic Switch. The two seemed to have patched up their differences after the match.
Yuki Kamifuku approached NEO Biishiki-gun after Match #4 asking to join the group. She thinks Saki-sama & Azusa Christie look so cool and stylish tgoether that she wants to be a part of it too. Christie was furious at the idea and thought Kamifuku was rude to ask them. Saki-sama however thought it was an interesting idea. Kamifuku isn’t at the level to join yet but she can be their apprentice for now. Kamifuku is happy with the decision. Christie is not.
Shoko Nakajima won her match with an Inverted Rings Of Saturn submission hold she calls the Unmanned Local Train Hold. It’s a Shin Godzilla reference according to the DDT English Update twitter account.
Hyper Misao told Nodoka-oneesan that she owns the patent on saying hello to the audience. Since Nodoka has been greeting the audience ever since her debut in January 2016, Misao worked out that Nodoka owes her 4,536,000 yen in overdue patent fees. However because they are friends, Nodoka only has to pay her 4,000,000 yen. When Yuki Kamifuku got in the way Misao and Nodoka worked together to get rid of her. Nodoka gave Kamifuku the Back Flip. Misao then snuck away with the win by pinning Kamifuku with the I Am A Hero. She was so happy with the win that she dropped the debt Nodoka supposedly owes her.

Tetsuya Endo dedicated his win over Masahiro Takanashi to Daisuke Sasaki. He also isn’t happy that he has to replace Sasaki as Soma Takao’s opponent this Sunday. According to Endo he never agreed to take the match.
Keisuke Ishii avoided Shigehiro Irie as much as he could during their trios match. Irie said DDT is giving them several opportunities to fight before their KO-D Openweight Title match so Ishii can’t run away from him forever.
Danshoku Dieno’s urges got out of control and caused his match with Mad Paulie to be called off. Paulie, Yukinori Matsui and Yuki Iino were all targeted by Dieno.
In the 3 Way Match Antonio Honda unmasked Hiratimo Dragon by accident. In a panic Honda threw the mask to Tsuyoshi Kikuchi. Kikuchi wore the mask and tried to continue wrestling but the referee disqualified him and awarded Hiratimo the victory.

7. Union MAX Title & DOVE World Title: Naoki Tanizaki (D/c) defeated Isami Kodaka (U/c) with the Libido (16:27).
*Isami Kodaka fails in V6. Naoki Tanizaki becomes the 10th Union MAX Champion! V1 for Naoki Tanizaki.

Dove Pro Wrestling is back with a vengeance and they now have BASARA’s championship! Naoki Tanizaki went into the Double Title main event with Gunso in his corner representing Dove Pro. Isami Kodaka came out by himself with the Union MAX Title around his waist. Tanizaki kicked out of the Diving Double Knee Drop as well as the European Clutch. He dropped Kodaka with the Implant several times throughout the match and they eventually took their toll on Kodaka. Tanizaki finally had him beat with the Casanova knee strike followed by the Libido knee lift for the three count. Tanizaki said the title win was for all of the Dove Pro believers who cheered for him today. He feels confident that he has beaten the best that BASARA has to offer. When he said this, Takumi Tsukamoto came out and challenged him to a MAX Title match. When Tanizaki and Gunso left, Kodaka called all of the BASARA home wrestlers to join him in the ring. He thinks Tsukamoto can bring the Union MAX Title back to BASARA but Kodaka still wants to fight Tanizaki one on one again some day. The show is over and BASARA is starting over. They may have lost today but they will come out of this stronger than they were before!

There is something about Ryota Nakatsu that Ikuto Hidaka seems to like. He feels like he is now Nakatsu’s 45 year old uncle and they will still be wrestling each other until Nakatsu can outkick his uncle. Hidaka admits that if today wasn’t a tag match, he would have lost to Nakatsu after he took his V Slider finisher. Minoru Fujita was also impressed by Nakatsu & Ryuichi Sekine today.

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi returned from a long absence as a changed man. He took up yoga to recover from his dislocated shoulder and travelled to India to learn more about the practice. For his first match back Hiroshi went face to face with Osamu Nishimura. Quite a big opponent for him but he stayed calm throughout. Hiroshi meditated while he was put in submission holds to withstand the pain. Soon Nishimura meditated too and they were both inactive for so long that the referee began to count them towards a double knockout. Both stirred and went back to wrestling until Nishimura locked in a Sleeper Hold. Hiroshi tried to meditate again but ended up losing consciousness. Nishimura then easily rolled him into a Cobra Twist to pin him. He told Hiroshi afterwards that he too has visited India many times to learn yoga. The most important lesson is even if the body is destroyed, the soul will continue to live many lives. Hiroshi said he was happy to learn from a guru today. They then sang a song together.

The return of the BASARA Vs Dove Pro rivalry means the return of SAGAT and Gunso fighting each other in Hardcore Matches. SAGAT lost like he tends to but this time it was FUMA who got pinned. SAGAT gave Jun Kasai a Brainbuster from the ladder but Gunso immediately cut him off with the Diving Guillotine Drop. FUMA fought off his opponents until Gunso took him down with a chair shot. Kasai gave FUMA the Reverse Tiger Driver then Kasai & Gunso hit the Pearl Harbour Splash and Diving Guillotine Drop to FUMA at the same time for the win. Kasai ripped off FUMA’s heavy metal shirt after the match and threw it into the crowd.

Fuminori Abe had a spirited fight against Minoru Tanaka. During their early exchanges Abe told Tanaka “I believe the B in BASARA stands for Batibati!” then he hit him with strikes. Abe later kicked out of the Superfly at one but was quickly put down with the Sliding D. Tanaka shook Abe’s hand after the match but Abe slapped Tanaka across the face in response. Tanaka didn’t mind it. He said that it was a cheerful match and he likes to face wrestlers with Abe’s style of fighting. He didn’t know what to expect because he never saw anything from Abe before today. It was fun though and if the wrestlers have fun with what they are doing then the fans will have fun watching them.

The rest of the BASARA wrestlers were pitted against the Metal Family in a 4 Vs 4 Elimination Match. The weakest of the BASARA team Gouma Ryu took a beating but Yasu Urano was there to keep the numbers even. Ryu was able to eliminate Trans-Am ★ Tanaka by gutsy luck. Tanaka kicked him from the apron but as Ryu fell he tripped Tanaka and pulled him to the floor with him. That left Takumi Tsukamoto and Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi as the final two. They fought on the apron until Tsukamoto knocked Ryuichi to the floor with the Thrust Kick to win the match for BASARA!

Takato Nakano tried to pin Manabu Hara with several different Cradles but a Cross Armbreaker ended the match in Hara’s favour.
