17. Kazusada Higuchi (257 Votes)
18. Kazuki Hirata (246 Votes)
19. Toru Owashi (243 Votes)
20. Jun Kasai (239 Votes)

Masahiro Takanashi wins a KO-D Openweight Title shot on the 25th November Korakuen Hall show. He also receives a 1,000,000 yen cash prize. Akito gets 300,000 yen and a shot at any of the other DDT championships. The Top 7 wrestlers are also guaranteed to appear at “COMING TO AMERICA” in New York on 4th April, 2019.

Takanashi promised to give a big speech but only when he win the KO-D Title on 25/11. He admits that the current champion is a great guy, better than all of the previous KO-D Champions he challenged and couldn’t beat.

Akito admitted he’s had an average year. It was his dream to win an election, so much so that he made it his goal this year. He did more election related activities than any other wrestler in the contest. He purposely did not choose which championship to challenge for because he wants the fans to decide for him. As for the prize money, he is saving it up so he can some day start an inter-promotional war with BASARA!

Maki Itoh wanted to finish in 1st but she is still pleased to finish 3rd. She wondered during the election why is she so popular? She realised that the people who like her wrestling are also going through hard times in their lives and they sympathise with her. Itoh wants to give those fans hope and also boost Tokyo Joshi Pro in the process.

HARASHIMA understands the importance of even just one vote so he is thankful for getting 907 votes.

The KO-D Champion Daisuke Sasaki finished in 5th but only prepared a speech for winning the contest. He gave the speech anyway. Sasaki wanted to defend the title against Laura James so they could wrestle in Korakuen Hall and then spend the night having sex in the Tokyo Dome Hotel.

Both Tetsuya Endo and Soma Takao thought they would get prize money for their placements. Endo thought he would get 60,000 yen for finishing 6th and Takao would get 80,000 for finishing 8th. It was pointed out to him that that doesn’t make any sense. They wwanted to spend the money on buying pet beetles. They were told there isn’t any money for them.

Danshoku Dieno still has amnesia and didn’t understand what was going on. All he could figure out is he must be cool and popular if so many people voted for him. Even if he doesn’t recover his memory he will wrestle on 25th November.

MAO has done a lot of strange things this year but even he feels weird to qualify for the Korakuen show on his own. He will carry his 430 votes in his chest.

Keisuke Ishii said he was happy to wrestle in Korakuen Hall again through the Election. He will go back to Ganbare☆Wrestling motivated to aim above DDT with the group.

Yumehito Imanari told everyone that he quit his job at a TV station 8 years ago. Everyone thought he was a loser for doing it but DDT found him and hired him. He didn’t join DDT as a pro wrestler but today he is standing here as a pro wrestler.

Antonio Honda is using his #10 ranking to request a new tag team of himself and Jason Kincaid. It was something he wanted to ask for if he finished in the top ten because they have become great friends during Kincaid’s stay. Hisaya Imabayashi told Honda he would consider it.

Konosuke Takeshita promised to wrestle as hard as he can for DDT and also everyone who voted for him.

Every year Saki Akai gets more nervous and excited for the election results. She said she loves DDT. As more fans vote every year, she wants to be a woman worth voting for.

KUDO wanted to be the highest voted husband in the election. He beat Makoto Oishi so he thinks he achieved that goal.

Shunma Katsumata was worried that his injury earlier this year would have harmed his popularity. He promises to repay the fans who voted for him.

Kazusada Higuchi is pleased to reach the main card for the first time in the election.

Toru Owashi feels awesome about his placement but his happiness was diminished when he found out Kazuki Hirata finished one spot ahead of him.

Jun Kasai promoted his 20th Anniversary feature in the new issue of Shukan Puroresu. He was also embarrassed by finishing so low. He threatened to leave DDT in December then come back next year as somebody worthy of winning the election

21. Mizuki Watase (238 Votes)
22. Gota Ihashi (231 Votes)
23. Makoto Oishi (224 Votes)
24. Yuki Ueno (200 Votes)

The wrestlers who finished between 21st to 24th will compete in the 25/11 pre-show match. They will also act as reserves if anybody qualified for the main card has to pull out before the show takes place. Mizuki Watase misses out on the main card by one vote!

25. Super Sasadango Machine (189 Votes)
26. Yukio Sakaguchi (178 Votes)
27. Tanomusaku Toba (133 Votes)
28. Yuki Iino (83 Votes)

These four were the next closest entries to the pre-show spot but they just didn’t get enough votes. They can also be used as a reserve if any of the above pre-show wrestlers get bumped up to the main card.

Unit Election Final Standings

1. Shuten-dōji (3,663 Votes)
2. DAMNATION (3,119 Votes)
3. ALL OUT (1,756 Votes)
4. The Compliance ( Votes)
5. DISASTER BOX (1,515 Votes)
6. Moonlight Express (863 Votes)
7. Booing 2018 (536 Votes)

Total Number Of Votes: 14,065 Votes

DAMNATION have been denied the three-peat. Shuten-dōji will be the unit to get their own self-produced show at some point in the next couple of months. The 2017 DAMNATION show was held at the end of December but this year’s December date is already being used for the D-Oh Grand Prix final.

KUDO said that there are more people to credit than just Shuten-dōji for today’s victory. He mentioned DJ Nira but wanted to bring out the one person who has fought by their side more than anyone else. Saki Akai! Masahiro Takanashi promised they will all put together the best show possible. Yukio Sakaguchi said that while Shuten-dōji is changing a lot, they will still always be the same at heart. “Sakamori!”

Goodbye Booing 2018. We hardly knew you. They thanked the fans who voted for them because they really appreciated it. They also promoted the “ALL DOIN” show taking place on 9th November.

8. Special Tag Match: Naomichi Marufuji & Konosuke Takeshita Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Shuji Ishikawa ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).

Shortly before today came, news went around that this show was going to be the final episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI”. Rumour was the AbemaTV producers were not happy with Danshoku Dieno’s naked wrestling stunt in last week’s “RYOGOKU PETER PAN” main event which aired live on the service. Instead the story turned out to be rather different. A video was shown after the main event announcing a new monthly DDT series called “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI SUPER” beginning with the 3rd January Korakuen Hall show. AbemaTV assures everyone that DDT is not in trouble for what happened at Sumo Hall. Also Maji Manji Super is not going to be the monthly Korakuen shows. DDT is running Korakuen twice in January so they are able to dedicate the first of those shows to the new series. They will also sell every ticket for just 2,000 yen, which is the return of a marketing gimmick DDT used to do for their first show of the year.

The main event went the full twenty minutes as Daisuke Sasaki & Shuji Ishikawa fought to a draw against Naomichi Marufuji & Konosuke Takeshita. The end of Maji Manji meant one last table spot on the show which was done when Ishikawa gave Takeshita the Fire Thunder through a table at ringside. Marufuji took Ishikawa out with the Shiranui while Takeshita and Sasaki fought during the dying minutes of the match. Sasaki kicked out of a Lariat while Takeshita kicked out of the Hurricanrana. The two were trading Elbow Smashes when the bell rang and the match ended. Ishikawa wanted to end the show and the series with karaoke but Sasaki stopped him. They left to go sing karaoke on their own while Marufuji thanked Takeshita for the match. The fans then cheered Takeshita to sing karaoke. It was here when everyone got the news of Maji Manji Super to end the show.

The DDT Extreme Title match stayed mostly on the ground as the champion HARASHIMA wanted to out-grapple Shinya Aoki. A Piledriver had no effect on the challenger and Aoki avoided the Somato to lock in a Sleeper Hold. HARASHIMA shifted his position to apply a Cross Armbreaker but Aoki then trapped him in a Triangle Choke. HARASHIMA Power Bombed Aoki but the hold wouldn’t break. HARASHIMA lost consciousness and Aoki became the new Extreme Champion! HARASHIMA hesitated to shake Aoki’s hand after the match but eventually did so. Aoki then dedicated today’s victory to Kendo Kashin because this is the first championship a Hagure IGF fighter has won since its formation.

STRONG HEARTS are here to stay now that they’ve won the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. The match begun with CIMA and Soma Takao in the ring. Takao got “BIMA” chants from the crowd, referencing his CIMA tribute gimmick way back when he was in a college wrestling club. Takao tried to out-CIMA CIMA by hitting the Schwein and then trying to win with the Mad Splash. CIMA blocked the splash then hit his moves of doom. Venus, Iconoclasm then the original Mad Splash put Takao away and made STRONG HEARTS the new champions! CIMA said the result was obvious after he beat Takeshita in Sumo Hall. T-Hawk warned the rest of DDT that they will be waiting here forever. If that bothers them then step up and try to take the belts away! CIMA announced that the unit will be sticking around in DDT for November and will be here in full force. Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel are coming to DDT with STRONG HEARTS! CIMA also said he is waiting for Danshoku Dieno to come back and might invite Gorgeous Matsuno to join the unit in Dieno’s absence. One last thing, CIMA wants to defend the 6-Man Titles in China for OWE before their next DDT appearance!

Danshoku Dieno made his first public appearance since Sumo Hall but not in the way anyone expected. KUDO found Dieno wandering around with no memory of anything. Hisaya Imabayashi asked KUDO to pull down his pants because it might help Dieno regain his memory. Dieno was disgusted at the idea of somebody stripping naked in front of a big audience. Imabayashi thinks Dieno is in a deep state of shock after he was locked inside a casket at Sumo Hall. He is giving Dieno time to mentally recover. However, if Dieno finishes in the Dramatic General Election Top 20 then he must wrestle at the next Korakuen Hall show on 25th November, whether he has his memories back or not!

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title is no longer in the hands of SKE48 thanks to Maki Itoh. The previous champion Yuki Arai defended the title in an all joshi Battle Royal. When it came down to Arai and Itoh, Makoto Oishi got involved so Arai wouldn’t have to fight. However, Arai scolded Oishi because she wanted to wrestle and she gave him a Heel Kick. She did the same Heel Kick to Itoh but it was dodged. Itoh then put Arai in a Crab Hold to submit her and win the title. They shook hands after the match but Arai suddenly gave her a School Boy. Itoh kicked out then chased Arai out of the ring.

Since today was the final day of voting in the Dramatic Election, the wrestlers in the 6-Man Tag all wanted to impress their voters. Mizuki Watase is back to wrestling in his old gear and he is now dying his hair red. Keisuke Ishii picked up the win for his team.

Sanshiro Takagi had his body painted up to look like a pumpkin monster for Halloween. The AbemaTV audience voted for what punishment the loser of Match #3 would take. Each option involved a Muay Thai kickboxer. The fans chose the loser getting kicked in the ass with 79% of the vote. Oishi pinned Takagi and he took the punishment. Everyone then lost control of the kickboxer and he kicked all of them away from the ring.

Nobuhiro Shimatani and El Lindaman were both making fun of each other for being short so their heights were measured by the referee before their match. Lindaman is taller but Shimatani blamed Lindaman for using his hair to cheat. Lindaman ended up beating Shimatani while CIMA interacted with Mad Paulie outside the ring.

Daisuke Kiso wound up getting involved in the multi-man cascading leg split spot during the opener. At one point “Thriller” played and everyone did the zombie dance. Honda interrupted it to do his Gongitsune strikes to everybody. It didn’t work on Akito because he was wearing glasses. Akito was then able to put Honda in the Scorpion Lock to give ALL OUT the win. Akito describes today as the beginning of ALL OUT’s rebuilding process. They want to regain the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles.

The D-Ou Grand Prix 2019 blocks were announced. Block A consists of Daisuke Sasaki, HARASHIMA, Kazusada Higuchi, Akito, MAO, Puma King and Go Shiozaki. Block B consists of Konosuke Takeshita, Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao, Masahiro Takanashi, Mike Bailey, Sammy Guevara and Shinya Aoki.

5a. Shoko Nakajima defeated Azusa Takigawa with the Northern Lights Suplex (4:09).
5b. Sakisama defeated Azusa Takigawa with the Academy Award (23:35).
5c. Miyu Yamashita defeated Azusa Takigawa by Forfeit (28:07).

A special match was put together for Azusa Takigawa’s graduation from Tokyo Joshi Pro. She was on her own against the rest of the roster in a best 3 out of 5 falls 1 Vs 16 Handicap Match. However it would turn out the team against Takigawa would have two extra surprise members. There was a rule added that the match was always one on one in the ring (save for some double team moves here and there) and the rest of the girls had to sit by the ring apron until they were tagged in.

One by one Takigawa got to face off against each of the girls for the last time. Hinano cried over Takigawa going away but it was just a trap so she could attack her. Hyper Misao again protested Takigawa’s decision to graduate but she finally accepted it and thanked Takigawa with a fist bump. Takigawa was thrown into the corner and the entire team did a Goodbye Train attack combo. Rika Tatsumi, Marika Kobashi, Akane Miura and Tetsuya Koda also joined in the train attack. Koda was the only one who Takigawa was able to block and he was almost pinned afterward. The 1st Fall ended when Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima did their double team moves and Nakajima pinned Takigawa with the Northern Lights Suplex.

For the 2nd Fall “The Rose Scatters Beautifully” played and Sakisama walked down to the ring! She hit a Penalty Kick to Takigawa but she kicked out of the pin. She hit a Middle Kick and Takigawa kicked out again. Finally, Sakisama hit the Academy Award and this time Takigawa didn’t kick out. Sakisama hugged her after the pin.

For the 3rd Fall, Sakisama tagged in Miyu Yamashita. Takigawa begun to get a second wind and countered the Attitude Adjustment into her Azusa Cross submission hold. She tried to hook in both of Yamashita’s arms but a rope break forced her to let go. Yamashita regained control with her kicks and hit the Crash Rabbit Heat. But Yamashita wouldn’t go for the pin because it was too upsetting. Instead, Takigawa got her hands on the microphone and reported on her last news story. Takigawa said she has no regrets left in Tokyo Joshi Pro and she dedicated her pro wrestling life to Tokyo Joshi. “I give up.” Takigawa verbally submitted and the match ended 3-0 to the Tokyo Joshi team. Yamashita hugged Takigawa and the two broke down into tears.

The graduation ceremony began with Takigawa receiving bouquets from Nakajima on behalf of the fans and from Yamashita on behalf of being her debut opponent. She also received a photo album from Misao filled with messages from the entire roster. Takigawa said that when she made her decision to retire, she was nervous that many people would come to see it. She considered ending her career in Shinjuku FACE because that was where she debuted but she is happy to get it done in Shin-Kiba 1st RING. When she joined Tokyo Joshi, her heart felt beautiful again after it was soiled by society. She thinks it says something about the people in this company that when she is with them she becomes more and more transparent. The girls who come here from both good and bad places have become her companions. She hopes the rapidly increasing number of girls who will debut after she leaves will continue that trend and protect Tokyo Joshi. She thanked everybody for supporting her from the fans to the company to her family. The ceremony ended with the 10 bell salute and her final ring introduction. She gathered up all the paper streamers thrown at her and placed her golden microphone inside it. That is now the end of Azusa Takigawa’s three years as a pro wrestler.

The show was a big occasion, not just for Takigawa’s graduation but also for the first ever 8-Woman Tag in Tokyo Joshi history. Hyper Misao said she was on the team of champions because her partners were Miyu Yamashita, Reika Saiki & Yuu. That means she will become the future champion! If that’s the case it won’t be anytime soon because Misao was pinned by the Miraclians.

Yuki Kamifuku is now being introduced as “Japan’s Most Beautiful Wrestler”. She tricked Hinano with her own crying routine but Nodoka Tenma ended up pinning her with the Killswitch.

The three Tokyo Joshi trainees found out when their debuts will take place this year. Haruna will debut on 17th November at Shin-Kiba. Kyou will debut on 24th November in Narimasu and Yumi will debut at Shinjuku on 1st December. Their official ring name and opponents will be announced soon. All three girls promised to do their best.

1. There Is Not Enough Fat! I Do Not Want Such A Thing! Ganpro International No Diet Day Memorial Special Match!: Moeka Haruhi Vs Manami Kanda ended in a No Contest when Imanari ruled that the wrestlers were underweight (5:37) (Special Referee: Yumehito Imanari)

2. Mr. Showtime Vs Real Tiger Mask!!: Shuichiro Katsumura defeated Shota with the Squeezing Sleeper Hold (10:41).
3. Ganbare☆Wrestling’s Great Crazy Party!!: Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki defeated Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari when Iwasaki pinned Imanari with a Right High Kick (12:49).

Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki are ready to take the next step as a team and go after a championship. The one they have in mind is the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles in NOAH! Ken Ohka encouraged them to do it because Ganbare☆Wrestling wants to give freedom to its wrestlers to do whatever they want. The proof of that is some of the other wrestlers walked into the room eating hamburgers while Ohka was giving his show closing speech.

Shota shook Shuichiro Katsumura’s hand after their match. He then gave Katsumura a School Boy and counted to three so he could walk off having felt some sort of victory over him today.

Manami Kanda is currently on a diet and has lost 15kg so far. Yumehito Imanari was so worried by the weight loss that he brought in burgers for both her and Moeka Haruhi to eat. He got even more annoyed when he noticed how much faster Kanda moved. She even performed La Magistral Cradle and would have won if Imanari didn’t cancel the match there and then. Imanari then challenged Kanda to a match and mocked her attacks for being too light like her. Haruhi stood up for Kanda and helped her beat up Imanari. Kanda then took a bite out of the burger and climbed the window sill. She shouted “Hamburger Splash” and jumped onto Imanari to pin him for the three count.

2. DDT Ramen-bu Vs ALL OUT!: Akito, Kazusada Higuchi & Mizuki Watase defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Iino when Akito pinned Katsumata with the Kinniku Buster (13:29).

DDT brought along two Mat Pro Wrestling matches to this year’s Tokyo Ramen Show. Unlike the usual Street Wrestling matches, today’s bouts kept themselves within their boundaries next to the stage. After all, today’s priority was promoting the DDT’s ramen restaurants, not to cause chaos for the rest of the festival. Konosuke Takeshita said that a person who eats nothing but ramen everyday is not suitable to be in a super body unit like ALL OUT. They were here today to get rid of ramen and replace it with pasta. Akito disagreed and teamed with Kazusada Higuchi & Mizuki Watase to defend ramen’s honour. After Akito pinned Shunma Katsumata with the Kinniku Buster, Takeshita couldn’t understand how his team could lose to a bunch of ramen eaters. Akito told him his team lost simply because they don’t eat ramen everyday! Ramen is power food with high calories and high protein! ALL OUT must eat more ramen if they want to power up!

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “5th ANNIVERSARY SHINKIBA TOUR 2018 AUTUMN TWO”, 04/11/2018
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Reika Saiki & Mina Shirakawa Vs Shoko Nakajima & Maki Ito

A Royal Rumble style match will determine who will challenge for the TOKYO Princess Title at Korakuen Hall on 4th January. Entries are still being decided upon and will be announced when they are confirmed. With two months to go until that show I suspect there may be an added stipulation once the challenger is chosen or at least one more title defence for Miyu Yamashita.

Two firsts for Tokyo Joshi Pro are happening on this show. We’re getting a 4 Vs 4 Tokyo Joshi tag match for the first time. We are also getting a 1 Vs 16 match for the first time to celebrate Azusa Takigawa’s graduation. No further details yet have been given on how the match will work. Other companies have done special gauntlet matches for their retiring wrestlers in the past where every round only has a one minute time limit and the chosen wrestler goes through all opponents no matter how much they win, lose or draw. I guess it will be something similar here.

DDT “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI KORAKUEN HALL SPECIAL!!”, 28/10/2018
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Nobuhiro Shimatani Vs El Lindaman
2. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Time Difference Joshi Battle Royal: Yuki Arai (c) (w/ Makoto Oishi) Vs Saki Akai Vs Maki Itoh Vs Cherry Vs Emi Sakura Vs Yuki Kamifuku Vs Mizuki
3. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie (c) Vs CIMA, T-Hawk & Duan Yingnan
4. DDT Extreme Title – Wrestling Rules: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Shinya Aoki
5. Special Tag Match: Naomichi Marufuji & Konosuke Takeshita Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Shuji Ishikawa

The new KO-D Openweight Champion has been drinking non-stop in celebration since winning the title yesterday. Daisuke Sasaki doesn’t remember much about the last 24 hours because of this. His prize money is already gone because he recently spent 4 million yen on things including a brand new car. The prize money from the main event was 2 million yen by the way. Sasaki hopes his victory was enough to impress both Laura James and Candice LeRae. His first defence is confirmed to be against the Dramatic General Election winner at Korakuen Hall on 25th November.

Danshoku Dieno has not been seen or heard from since the ending of “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2018” when DAMNATION locked him into a coffin. Sasaki ordered Nobuhiro Shimatani to go burn it when the show was over. Dieno is not expected to appear at Korakuen this weekend.

With ALL OUT swept aside, STRONG HEARTS are sticking around in DDT so they can win a championship. CIMA’s goal is to become a champion one more time before he turns 41 at his next birthday. The group has chosen the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles as their target. CIMA, T-Hawk and Duan Yingnan will be the trio challenging DAMNATION in the match. T-Hawk said STRONG HEARTS share everything together. That is what makes them the strongest unit. Yingnan is hoping to bring a championship back to Shanghai. CIMA calls Konosuke Takeshita the standard of DDT. It is up to the rest of the DDT roster to prove they are better otherwise they will only disappoint CIMA. Tetsuya Endo admitted that Takeshita beating CIMA yesterday would have been a happy ending for all of DDT, except for Endo because he still hates Takeshita to death. All of the attention should now be on DAMNATION because of the championships they hold. Also Endo believes that Mad Paulie will be the key wrestler to watch when the match happens. This is all bringing back awkward memories for Soma Takao. Back when he was a college pro wrestler he was called BIMA and he was, yes you guessed it, a CIMA parody. Shimatani was more than happy to tell CIMA that over and over when the two teams met at today’s press conference. The letter B is above C for a reason according to Shimatani.

Shimatani’s posturing was quick to annoy El Lindaman. The two argued back and forth about their short heights until they were booked to face each other.

Makoto Oishi has offered to help SKE48 idol Yuki Arai defend her Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title in the Joshi Battle Royal. The reason is Oishi loves idols, especially ones named Arai. This must be fate! It’s enough for Arai to trust him at least. Maki Itoh is already upset with Arai because she never introduced herself to her, even though they only met today when Itoh stormed the conference. Itoh finds that disrespectful because she is Arai’s senior in the idol world.

“ALL DOIN”, 09/11/2018
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Tiger Mask V (Self-Proclaimed) Vs Pero Pero Master
2. Eririn Takagi, Monster Halloween & ONAKIN Vs MEN’S Teioh, HARASHIMA & Shota

MEN’S Teioh was chosen by Sanshiro Takagi to be the executive chairman of the “ALL DOIN” committee. HARASHIMA is considered one of the strongest wrestlers in Japan’s independent scene so why not put him on the show celebrating independent wrestling? Shota also has a lot of experience in that section of the industry.

I’m not sure who Pero Pero Master (ぺろぺろ親方) is. Google isn’t offering much.
