1. 3 Way Match: Toru Owashi defeated Antonio Honda and Keigo Nakamura when Owashi pinned both Honda and Nakamura with a Double School Boy (8:23).
2. Yuji Hino, Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani defeated Chris Brookes, Yusuke Okada & Toui Kojima when Shimatani submitted Kojima with a Modified Camel Clutch (12:21).
3. Young Communication Generation Vs DDT Legend Army!: HARASHIMA & Danshoku Dieno defeated Akito & Kazuki Hirata when Dieno pinned Akito with the Hell Sword (10:56).
4. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Naya defeated Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata when Naya pinned Katsumata with the Back Drop (10:18).
5. Konosuke Takeshita & MAO defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Mizuki Watase when MAO pinned Watase with the Avalanche Michinoku Driver II (14:05).
6. DAMNATION VS Junretsu!: Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Hideki Okatani defeated Tetsuya Endo, Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao when Akiyama pinned Takao with the Wrist Clutch Exploder Suplex (20:40).

Today was the return of Jun Akiyama from injury and also his last preview match against Tetsuya Endo before their KO-D Openweight Title match. They continued to fight each other after the match until Endo backed out of the ring. Akiyama thanked Endo because he felt today’s match was enough rehabilitation for him. He thinks the right side of the KO-D Title belt looks a little dull so he should polish it before Akiyama takes it off him. Makoto Oishi assured everyone that Akiyama’s strength and power is back to where it was before his absence.

Backstage Akiyama joked he is now unemployed because of his new freelance status. He also cheered up Hideki Okatani when he found out Okatani was disappointed over not winning any matches against DAMNATION while Akiyama was gone. Meanwhile Endo revealed he brought in a new training partner to prepare for the title match. He teased that this person is somebody who knows Akiyama best and everyone will be surprised when the person is unveiled.

Yukio Sakaguchi is getting what he wants from the DDT Sauna Club. Today’s defeat against Konosuke Takeshita & MAO now motivates him to kill the both of them. He promises his title matches with the Sauna Club in Culttz Kawasaki and Nagoya Congress Center will be a war. The likes of MAO and Shunma Katsumata hate the word “war” because saunas are peaceful.

The pairing of Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Naya had a successful warm up match for “KAWASAKI STRONG 2021”. They gave Katsumata a Double Choke Slam and it was Naya who got the pin with a Back Drop. Naya said he is starting over from scratch and has nothing to lose. He will hit Smile Pissari with all of his strength. Higuchi understands and will help him do that.

Danshoku Dieno has come up with a new finishing move. He pressed Akito’s face into his backside and HARASHIMA hit the Somato into Akito from the other side. Dieno then did his own version of the Somato where he hits the move with his crotch instead of the knees. The move is called the Hell Sword. Dieno then tea bagged Akito after the match to add insult to injury. He asked Akito & Kazuki Hirata if they were fooling around when they nominated the DDT old guard for their next KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles defence. All it does it make Dieno the face of DDT again if he wins the championship. His generation will lead DDT again! And if the Young Communication Generation won’t call him the leader of DDT, he will get HARASHIMA to shut them up and follow his orders!

The BOYZ and YaroZ doubleshot in Itabashi Green Hall that was cancelled last year has been rescheduled to 4th April. The BOYZ show will take place on the 2nd Floor while the YaroZ show is held in the 1st Floor.

2. Nodoka Tenma defeated Hyper Misao (w/ Shin Ultra Shoko) with the Killswitch (5:58).

4. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Nao Kakuta & Haruna Neko when Itoh submitted Neko with a Crab Hold (10:08).
5. Rika Tatsumi, Hikari Noa & Marika Kobashi defeated Miu Watanabe, Mahiro Kiryu & Pom Harajuku when Tatsumi submitted Kiryu with the Dragon Sleeper (12:18).

It is eleven days to go until Tokyo Joshi Pro returns to Korakuen Hall. For Rika Tatsumi her goal today was to stay in good condition alongside Hikari Noa & Marika Kobashi. She thanked everyone for attending as well as thanked the viewers around the world who watched the live stream on Youtube. Her show closing line was “ALL YOU NEED IS TJPW!”

NEO Biishiki-gun ambushed Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh in the ring after their match. Itoh was on the microphone telling everyone how strong she and Yamashita are after their Ittenyon death battle when Mei Saint-Michel hit her from behind with her serving tray. Yamashita threw a High Kick but Saint-Michel blocked it with the tray and Sakisama hit Yamashita with a rose for added insult. Sakisama said Yamashita & Itoh will kneel down in front of them at Korakuen. She dared them to resist their fate because they aren’t even the appetizer for NEO Biishiki-gun’s main course. Saint-Michel started complaining about a bad smell in the room and Sakisama told her it was the scent of pork coming from Yamashita & Itoh.

While Shin Ultra Shoko is still recovering, Hyper Misao informed everyone that superheroes have many secret weapons at their disposal. Shoka brought one along today and revealed it was a big sword. She then became upset when Daisuke Kiso told her using it would be disqualify Misao. Shoko still told Misao to hold it during the match as a talisman. Late in the match Nodoka Tenma grabbed the sword and Misao tried to fake being attacked so Kiso would DQ Tenma. Instead Tenma snapped the sword in half over her knee and pinned Misao with the Killswitch. Tenma felt bad afterward for breaking the sword because she wanted it for herself.

7. The Past, Present & Future Of Tokyo Joshi Pro Cross On The Mat!: Miyu Yamashita & Mirai Maiumi defeated Rika Tatsumi & Suzume when Yamashita pinned Suzume with the Attitude Adjustment (10:15).

Tokyo Joshi Pro went back to its roots with a return to mat wrestling matches inside TwinBox AKIHABARA. The venue hosted TJPW’s very first event where three trainees including Miyu Yamashita took part in exhibition matches alongside musical performances from idol groups. Today’s show aired on PPV through OPENREC. It begun with Sayuri Namba hosting a talk segment with Yuka Sakazaki and Yuki Kamifuku. Then there were musical performances with Maki Itoh, Rika Tatsumi and the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling). In the “crowd” were Hyper Misao and Shin Ultra Shoko waving penlights to the music and cheering the singers on.

The wrestlers gave out comments before the matches. Yamashita worked double duty by being in both the opener and the main event because of some last minute changes. She found it meaningful for her to face the newest TJPW wrestler Arisu Endo in the room where TJPW began. She also brought back her dancing entrance to “Genghis Khan”. Endo Body Slammed Yamashita onto the mat and applied a Camel Clutch. Yamashita powered out of it, put Endo in a Cobra Clutch and pulled her down onto the mat to submit her.

Sena Shiori knew that her match with Misao was really a Handicap Match withShoko also involved. However she still fell for Misao’s trick when she was invited to become a part time superhero only to be attacked with cloak. Shoko passed over a Hyper Ultra Ball but Shiori intercepted it and used it as a weapon herself. Misao was able to recover and win with the Hypami Returns.

Both Itoh and Moka Miyamoto are new to mat wrestling despite the gap in regular wrestling experience between them. Itoh struggled out of the Manjigatame and dropped Miyamoto with a Wrist-Clutch DDT. She then finished her off with a Crab Hold.

Pom Harajuku said she is always at the mercy of The Magical Sugar Rabbits whenever they wrestle so she needed her teamwork with Mahiro Kiryu to be perfect against them. Sakazaki was excited to wrestle on a mat again because that’s a lawless area where you can do anything! They did just that by using the security barrier like a top turnbuckle to do high flying moves off of. Mizuki also used Sakazaki as a stepping stone to do a Flying Cross Body to Kiryu. Sakazaki pinned Harajuku with a Delayed Brainbuster.

Kamifuku noticed that Marika Kobashi’s makeup has been getting darker recently and it makes her look like a demon. She was going to be responsible like an older sister and clean the makeup off of Kobashi’s face. She brought along facewipes and tried to use them but Kobashi fought her off with Chops. Kamifuku removed her own makeup to show her opponent it is okay to show your true appearance but Kobashi still resisted. Kamifuku put her in a Manjigatame and forcefully wiped the makeup off Kobashi’s face, giving her no choice but to give up.

The Up Up Girls called their concert at the start of the show a warm up for their match next. Raku wants everyone to eat sweets which is why she gave Nodoka Tenma a candy necklace when the match began. But it was really a surprise attack to set up the Good Night Express. Tenma would later wrap the candy around her fist to load up her punches. Miu Watanabe used the Giant Swing on Yuki Aino. Raku fought off The Bakuretsu Sisters with the Brain Chop. The match ended when Hikari Noa used her Figur 4 Clutch Hold to pin Haruna Neko. Noa has named the pinning combination the Saigo No Bansan (Last Supper).

Yamashita came back out for the main event. Mirai Maiumi wanted to tag with her to experience the history of TJPW. Tatsumi thought Yamashita was getting carried away by the nostalgia so she wanted to give her a good beating. Yamashita and Tatsumi fought over by the announce table while Maiumi and Suzume kept their wrestling on the mat. Tatsumi missed the Hip Attack and collided with the wall. Miaumi hit her with a Lariat on the rebound. Yamashita countered the Ring A Bell into the Attitude Adjustment on Suzume for the three count.

After the match Yamashita spoke about the first show from 8 years ago. It was just her, KANNA, Chikage Kiba and the referee Daisuke Kiso taking part in matches. Over the years her number of friends increased and she hopes TJPW will continue to grow even bigger.

After Junretsu lost their match yesterday. Mizuki Watase made his feelings clear backstage that Yusuke Okada is not deserving of a spot in DDT. He was excited to see him enter DDT at first but believes he quickly settled into a safe position under Akiyama’s coaching instead of making a name for himself. Okada explains that DDT made him team with Junretsu while Akiyama is recovering but Watase thinks that excuse is not good enough. They will settle their differences in a singles match.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title was sent back to Japan after a five month stay in the United States. It ended up in AEW where a copy of The Young Bucks autobiography became the most recent champion (my quick review: decent book, needed crazy road stories to make it a must read). The book was shipped over to Japan along with the title belt so DDT did the logical thing and booked it for a title defence next month. Match type and opponent(s) are yet to be determined.

2. DDT Variety Team, Pentagram Ambition!: Kazuki Hirata defeated Danshoku Dieno, Saki Akai, Mad Paulie and Gorgeous Matsuno when Hirata pinned Dieno with the Gaydo Clutch (7:28).
3. HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Antonio Honda defeated Shunma Katsumata, MAO & Keigo Nakamura when Honda pinned Nakamura with the Diving Fist Drop (9:36).
4. DDT Megatonweight Single Match: Yuji Hino defeated Yukio Naya with the Fucking BOMB (7:49).
5. Tetsuya Endo, Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao defeated Makoto Oishi, Hideki Okatani & Yusuke Okada when Endo submitted Okatani with the Yurikamome (11:59).
6. Eruption Vs DDT Sauna Club!: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno by TKO when Sakaguchi used the Sleeper Hold on Ueno (15:59).

The main event was a preview of both the upcoming DDT UNIVERSAL Title and KO-D Tag Team Title matches scheduled for February’s two big shows. It was the tag champions who came out on top with Kazusada Higuchi using the Brain Claw to nullify Konosuke Takeshita while Yukio Sakaguchi went to town on Yuki Ueno. Sakaguchi hit the God’s Right Knee then repeatedly hit High Kicks with both of his legs. The match had to be stopped when Ueno was put into a Sleeper Hold and he lost consciousness. Eruption held up both the KO-D Tag Title and the UNIVERSAL Title belts to celebrate. Sakaguchi said they will defend the Tag Titles against Takeshita no matter what. He also warned Ueno that this is the fight he will be in at Culttz Kawasaki. After they left the ring, Ueno grabbed the microphone. He admittedly now regrets nominating Sakaguchi to be his challenger but he’ll still be holding the UNIVERSAL Title high above his head in Kawazaki. He and Takeshita are still alive!

Hideki Okatani came close to pinning Tetsuya Endo with a Backslide Pin but it was countered into the Yurikamome Hold to give DAMNATION the victory. Endo wouldn’t let go after the match, causing Yusuke Okada to stomp on him to break it. Daisuke Sasaki and Makoto Oishi then jumped into the fight but things quickly calmed down. Endo taunted Junretsu by telling them they have no chance beating DAMNATION without Jun Akiyama. He will assess how much of a threat Akiyama will be when his return match happens on 31st January.

Big boy Yuji Hino is being targeted by the other big boys in DDT and he just does not understand why. Yukio Naya once more tried to ambush Hino this time right before their match started. And once again the plan failed and Hino slapped him apart. Naya did put up a fight in the match itself but he fell to the Fucking BOMB and seems to no longer be a problem for Hino. Now he has a new problem to deal with. Yuki Iino climbed into the ring moments after the match ended and he hit Hino with the Spear. Akito & Shunma Katsumata got in and held an excited Iino back while Hino asked Mad Paulie and Yukinori Matsui why DDT’s younger wrestlers don’t like him? He doesn’t know what is going on but he will fight back. He also appreciates Paulie helping him in this situation.

It was announced at the start of the show that the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title is returning to Japan. The current champion, a copy of The Young Bucks autobiography “Killing The Business” was being shipped over from America along with the title belt. Later on during the show, Kazuki Hirata was being chased around backstage by Danshoku Dieno over the result of their 5 Way Match. Hirata lost Dieno in a waiting room and noticed a mystery package on the table. He opened it to find the book and the Iron Man Title! Hirata called in Matsui to count him pinning the book but Dieno arrived in time to stop it and chase Hirata away. The book will now defend the Iron Man Title on the 28th February Korakuen Hall show.

Gorgeous Matsuno announced his 60th birthday commemorative show scheduled for 18th April will be rescheduled because the venue is being used as a vaccination centre during that period.

Today is MAO’s 24th birthday!

6. The Past, Present & Future Of Tokyo Joshi Pro Cross On The Mat!: Rika Tatsumi & Suzume Vs Miyu Yamashita & Mirai Maiumi

Miyu Yamashita visited Twin Box AKIHABARA during the week to rediscover her memories of the venue when Tokyo Joshi Pro held their first shows their eight years ago. Back then TJPW only consisted of three girls including Yamashita training to be pro wrestlers. This Saturday’s PPV will have 22 women involved. That is a roster over seven times bigger having a show in the same venue! Yamashita thinks it will be good for the rookies like Moka Miyamoto and Sena Shiori to experience mat wrestling. She hopes everyone will feel the history of TJPW in the building as the show goes on.

Yamashita admits she doesn’t remember much about the first show and her memories of those days might be mixed up with the shows that were held in Shibuya DESEO. She didn’t feel uncomfortable wrestling on a padded mat because her training was done on mats too. It only made her excited to wrestling inside a ring as soon as possible. She is more experienced now in fighting outside the ring so she is excited to see what she can do at the PPV this Saturday. The only worry she has is if Yuka Sakazaki does a high flying move from a strange place and accidentally breaks some equipment.

Hyper Misao takes on the greatest threat to peace and love yet. It’s the return of the Mecha Mummy! 2. Ganpro Vs Aka Rangers Full-Scale Battle: Ken Ohka & Shota Vs Takashi Sasaki & GENTARO
3. The Strongest Amateur Vs The Strongest Outside Enemy: Shinichiro Tominaga Vs Ikuto Hidaka

Is there anyone from Ganbare☆Pro who can beat Ikuto Hidaka? Maybe it will take a wrestler who isn’t signed to Ganpro to do that. Nobody is prouder of their student wrestling roots than Shinichiro Tominaga. Still, Hidaka is getting used to fighting the Ganpro spirit and senses it coming from his upcoming opponent.

The Aka Rangers of Takashi Sasaki & GENTARO were one of the early tag teams of note in DDT. When Ken Ohka was nothing more than a rookie, he got to second the team to ringside and always wanted to wrestle them. Sadly the opportunity never came. Almost 20 years later Ohka finally gets to achieve his dream and he is bringing in a white hot Shota along for the ride.

Ohka wanted to give a present to celebrate Keisuke Ishii’s birthday the day before the show as well as Kouki Iwasaki’s recent marriage. He offered them a GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles match against THE HALFEE but they needed a third partner. HARUKAZE also has a birthday that week so she was chosen to complete the team.

5. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) defeated Yusuke Kubo with a Reverse Crab Hold (15:24).
*V2 for Takumi Tsukamoto.

Yasu Urano challenged Takumi Tsukamoto for the Union MAX Title and wanted it to happen right there and then just like when he challenged for the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title at Ganbare☆Pro recently. Tsukamoto asked for some rest and the two eventually agreed to have the title match on 25th February. Urano kept asking for the match to happen as soon as possible but Tsukamoto wants the match to happen at a big show like the February Shinjuku FACE event. He has a busy schedule that week in February because he will be defending the BJW Death Match Title a few days before.

Everyone in Match #4 did the Kamikaze to each other as their way of saying goodbye to Ryuichi Sekine. When it was Sekine’s turn to do it on Fuminori Abe they both broke down into tears. Sekine was encouraged to finish the move but Abe countered it into a Crucifix Pin for the three count. Isami Kodaka encouraged Sekine to enjoy his break from wrestling and to remember this is not a retirement. He will come back to the ring someday.

Match #3 was turned into an MMA style Jacket Match. Both Ryota Nakatsu and Gouma had to fight in a judo jacket with fingerless gloves. Nakatsu dominated the fight and drained Gouma’s energy until he was finally choked out in Round 4.

SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa want to challenge for the IRON FIST TAG Titles.

5. Cabellera Contra No Apesta: Shota defeated Yasu Urano with a Frog Splash (20:41).

In a match where only Shota had something to lose, he had to fight as if he was defending the championship he no longer has. Yasu Urano brought electric clippers with him to the ring and even shaved off a piece of Shota’s hair during the match. Urano tried to win by countout by leaving him for dead outside the ring but broke the count to attack him more. Urano even attacked Keigo Nakamura who was only doing his ringside duties. This led to Ken Ohka getting involved in the match but Urano hit him too then used Daisuke Kiso as a human shield to deflect Shota. Shota eventually got his own back by hitting a Topé Suicida. He missed a Frog Splash and Urano did his own. Shota avoided being pinned and used a Gannosuke Clutch to take back momentum. Shota was able to hit the Frog Splash a second time to get the three count.

Urano approached Shota to shake his hand after the match but he then tried to steal the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title belt. Urano tried to start fights with Shota, Moeka Haruhi and Yumehito Imanari before finally leaving. Shota said the indie world cannot take their eyes off his every move. His self-esteem feels a little wounded but his hair will grow back, he still has a championship and he found a new goal to accomplish. He is going to become the main character of independent wrestling in time for Ganbare☆Pro’s return to Korakuen Hall on 7th April!

Ohka suggested that Keisuke Ishii and Kouki Iwasaki should challenged for the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles on 7th February. Ishii is celebrating his birthday they day before and Iwasaki recently got married so that is a way for them to celebrate it. They need a third partner though. HARUKAZE said she will join their team because her birthday is the day before Ishii’s. She also has a lot of experience wrestling against THE HALFEE so she wants to finally beat them.

Ikuto Hidaka’s winning streak in Ganpro went up a notch with a win over Shuichiro Katsumura. His matches are getting more difficult because this time he needed to use the Japanese Ocean Cyclone to win. He used the move knowing that Katsumura never anticipated it. Shinichiro Tomainaga introduced himself to Hidaka afterwards, calling him an amateur pro wrestler from CWP (Come On Wrestling Party). He does not represent Ganpro, he is not even on the show poster. But he is still upset to see his friends lose so he challenged Hidaka to a match. Hidaka accepted and told Tominaga they will both fight with pride. Even though Tominaga is not officially with Ganpro, Hidaka senses he has the soul of Ganpro within him.

Ohka told GENTARO that the next Ganpro show on 7th February is a Kitazawa Town Hall. They’ve known each other for 25 years and Ohka wanted to know what GENTARO thinks of when he hears that venue? GENTARO says it reminds him of DDT. Ohka agrees because that was where he was a ringside attendant for GENTARO & Takashi Sasaki when they were the Aka Rangers. He was never able to wrestle the Aka Rangers back then which is why he wants to wrestle them now! Ohka will find a tag partner to take on GENTARO & Sasaki on 7th February.
