The biker mystery in DNA continues and Naomi Yoshimura seems to be involved in it. The biker, now going by the name Full Face, was unmasked as Dai Suzuki during DNA’s Beer Garden show. But that makes no sense because the biker had interacted with Suzuki in front of the audience earlier in the show. Yoshimura said this is all to make DNA more interesting and he seems to enjoy it. In fact, if anybody attending the event thinks it was a boring show then DNA promises to give them a full refund.

DDT Dramatic General Election 2017

The DDT Dramatic General Election is back to drive DDT’s season for the autumn once Sumo Hall is over and done with. 43 wrestlers will be pleading for the fans to vote for them and get them booked on the 22nd October Korakuen Hall card. The top 20 wrestlers will be guaranteed spots on the main card while spots 21 to 24 will be put in the dark match.

This year the election winner will get a million yen cash prize and also a KO-D Openweight Title shot on the 22nd October show. If the reigning champion himself happens to be the winner then he gets to choose his opponent. The person who finishes in 2nd place will earn a 300,000 yen prize and also a title shot for any of the secondary DDT championships on 22nd October (KO-D Tag Team, DDT Extreme, KO-D 6-Man Tag, KO-D 10-Man Tag and Iron Man Heavymetalweight Titles). If the KO-D Champion finishes in 2nd then his secondary title shot will be held on another show because his own title defence takes priority.

Now the stakes are high for Sanshiro Takagi Vs Danshoku Dino. Dino wants full control of DDT if he wins. But Dino’s mother wants him to settle down so if Takagi wins, Dino must get married. Tokyo Joshi Pro are looking for idols to participate as lumberjacks in the Azusa Takigawa Vs Maki Ito grudge match. They would prefer idols who like wrestling and have experience in sports.

DDT “DRAMATIC DREAM TAIWAN VOL. 1” Cancelled

Today’s show in Taiwan was cancelled because of a typhoon that was expected to hit the mainland. The Taiwan government sent requests for all public events to be cancelled for everyone’s safety. DDT still plans to host events in Taiwan in the future.

The end of the summer in Japanese wrestling means only one thing. But this isn’t that thing. We know, we know, Sumo Hall will be bumping and jumping for the final nights of that major wrestling tournament. But elsewhere in Tokyo, Ganbare☆Wrestling will be hosting a three day tournament of their own. Complete coincidence. It’s only called the Ganbare☆Climax because it is being held at the end of summer, hence the climax. This lot wouldn’t dare dream of plagiarising another wrestling company.

The big match to look out for in Round 1 is Ken Ohka Vs Yumehito Imanari. The two are good friends and usually wrestle together as a team rather than opponents. However there is a casual rivalry between them and Imanari is fired up to step out of his buddy’s shadow.

Shota participated in the 1st Round draw and said Chikara Vs Kendo Kashin is his most anticipated match. He wished he could see it tomorrow if he could.

Partial Fighting Beer Garden 2017 Schedule

It’s that time of year again when DDT spends a week during the summer drinking itself stupid and inviting everyone along to come see the results. Nine different shows in seven days will take place in Shinjuku FACE with plenty of beer being served in the meantime. Every show has a different flavour with many being produced by the wrestlers themselves. So expect to see some ideas that are different or unusual for even regular DDT events. This year the published cards have a lot of gaps in them so some surprises may be in store.

Reika Saiki and Mizuki are both hoping to win the tournament in their first go.

We get to see the regenerated NEO Biishiki-gun back in the ring. There’s also risk of some Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title shenanigans with Maho Kurone in the house.

Adding Rocky Kawamura and Tanomusaku Toba to the main event provides the punch drunk effect that usually shows up on one of these events.

DDT’s big event for the summer is filling up nicely. Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo have a rematch of their 60 minute draw from April with the KO-D Openweight Title on the line. The ace team of HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji are going after the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Daisuke Sasaki and Akito will battle not just for the DDT Extreme Title but also their hair. The first ever KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Champions will be crowned because we don’t know the meaning of overkill. There’s still some things to sort out but that will happen over the course of Beer Garden week.

A figure from DDT’s past is set to return later this year. Shogo “Jet” Takagi was part of the DDT roster during the mid 2000’s but disappeared into the indie scene. His last known match was for Kohaku Pro Wrestling on February 2014 and DDT is advertising this appearance as his first match in 3 years and 7 months. Takagi’s name was mentioned by HARASHIMA and Toru Owashi when they teamed together earlier this month. The three of them were a part of Disaster-BOX, a heel unit that were kind of similar to what you would find throughout the history of Toryumon and Dragon Gate. That makes sense when you realise both Owashi and Takagi came from Toryumon’s system. HARASHIMA asked Owashi if he still had Takagi’s phone number. Looks like he did.

This is the final Korakuen Hall show for DDT before “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2017” so expect some match announcements and clearer directions for the roster going into the show. Konosuke Takeshita has almost passed all of his Right To Challenge obstacles, Tetsuya Endo waits for the KO-D Openweight Champion, Hirata Collection A.T.’s stay in Japan is under threat, HARASHIMA has some sort of plan to get what he wants and Mad Paulie is getting his own fan club.

Boxer Ayumi Goto will be presenting the title belts for the KO-D Tag Team Championship match. She is there as part of the Uchikomi! sponsorship.

Delicious Sacas Pro Wrestling 2017

The DDT family returns to the Delicious Sacas Food And Sports Festival for a second year to host a week long series of shows. This time DDT, BASARA and Tokyo Joshi Pro will be joined by Ganbare☆Wrestling to put together matches. Also of note is the DDT shows will be headlined by two mysterious wrestlers representing two of the businesses sponsoring the festival. Ikinari! Mask is representing the Ikinari!
