TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO JOSHI 2022 WINTER ~OSAKA PERFORMANCE~”, 26/02/2022
Osaka Azalea Taisho Hall

1. Suzume Vs Kaya Toribami
2. Maki Itoh & Yuki Kamifuku Vs Raku & Pom Harajuku
3. Nao Kakuta Vs Haruna Neko
4. Miyu Yamashita & Marika Kobashi Vs Hikari Noa & Arisu Endo
5. Shoko Nakajima, Hyper Misao & Mahiro Kiryu Vs Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Moka Miyamoto
6. Yuka Sakazaki Vs Mizuki Vs Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino

It’s the final showdown between The Magical Sugar Rabbits and The Bakuretsu Sisters!

Miyu Yamashita and Maki Itoh are both cleared and back in action. Yamashita gets to team with Marika Kobashi again, although I think their original team name JK Strikers is a bit out of date at this point. Itoh teams with Yuki Kamifuku, showing that they are still friends after their International Princess Title match earlier this month.

DDT “ULTIMATE TAG LEAGUE 2022 THE FINAL!!”, 27/02/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

-. Ultimate Tag League 2022 – A Block: Kazusada Higuchi & Hideki Okatani (2) Vs Shuji Kondo & Kazuki Hirata (0) is a Double Forfeit.
0. Dark Match: Yusuke Okada Vs Yuki Ishida
0. Dark Match: Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Hiroshi Yamato
1. Toru Owashi & Shuji Kondo Vs Soma Takao & Kazusada Higuchi
2. Ultimate Tag League 2022 – B Block: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi (2) Vs Shunma Katsumata & MAO (2)
3. Ultimate Tag League 2022 – B Block: HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura (4) Vs Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari (4)
4. Ultimate Tag League 2022 – A Block: Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno (4) Vs Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama (6)
5. Daisuke Sasaki, Minoru Fujita & MJ Paul Vs Yuji Hino, Akito & Yukio Naya
6. Special Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai Vs Sanshiro Takagi & Maya Yukihi
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles – Ultimate Tag League 2022 – Final : Winners Of Block A Vs Winners Of Block B

A Block

1. Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama (6)
2. Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno (4)
-. Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya (4)
4. Kazusada Higuchi & Hideki Okatani (2)
5. Shuji Kondo & Kazuki Hirata (0)

B Block

1. HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura (4)
-. Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul (4)
-. Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari (4)
4. Shunma Katsumata & MAO (2)
-. Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi (2)

The final block matches for the Ultimate Tag League tell two different stories. In the A Block BURNING only needs a tie to advance to the final. However if The 37KAMIINA beats them, then Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno advance because of the head to head rule. DISASTER BOX versus Pheromones needs to have a winner otherwise the B Block can get complicated. A time limit draw leads to a restart because the teams get one point each and tie in first without a head to head tiebreaker. Real chaos can happen if the match ends in a Double DQ, Double Countout or No Contest because no points are awarded to anyone. That can possibly create a 3 Way or 4 Way tie with DAMNATION T.A and whoever wins between ShunMao and CDK. Normally we do not have to worry about that scenario happening but Pheromones are involved. Their entire thing is ruining matches without caring about winning or losing. They can now ruin the entire tournament if they want to!

Unfortunately two more wrestlers have been pulled from the show. Toui Kojima tested positive for covid while Antonio Honda has been under poor physical condition. In Honda’s case he tested negative so he might just be feeling ill this week. The dark matches have been changed with their removal alongside Toru Owashi and Soma Takao getting bumped up to the opening match with Shuji Kondo and Kazusada Higuchi.

Not only will there be English commentary for the first time at a Ganbare☆Pro show, there will also be a special guest joining Chris Brookes and Mr. HAKU for the main event. Shinjiro Otani will be calling the Spirit Of Ganbare Title match with them!

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW MIDWINTER POOL WRESTLING ON WRESTLE UNIVERSE”, 28/02/2022
Tokyo Sumida Sports Health Center Pool

1. 5 Way Tag Match: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe Vs Hyper Misao & Nodoka Tenma Vs Hikari Noa & Yuki Arai Vs Marika Kobashi & Raku

Pro wrestling matches at swimming pools have been done before by DDT. Now it is Tokyo Joshi Pro’s turn to try it out. The match has already been recorded and will be shown for the first time on WRESTLE UNIVERSE this Monday, so for now I’m using the broadcast date for the match record. Five teams will be against each other but some special rules will be included so it may not be just one match with every team all against each other at once.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “GRAND PRINCESS ’22”, 19/03/2022
Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan

1. Juria Nagano Debut Match: Juria Nagano Vs X
2. Sanshiro Takagi Vs Hyper Misao
3. Nodoka Tenma Vs Yuki Aino
4. Special Single Match: Hikaru Shida Vs Hikari Noa
5. International Princess Title: Maki Itoh (c) Vs Yuki Arai
6. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe
7. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima

Nodoka Tenma and Yuki Aino will have their first and only singles match against each other at Sumo Hall. A match between The Bakuretsu Sisters was often pitched over the years but Aino never liked the idea. Tenma wants the match to finally happen because she will be graduating from wrestling soon. This time Aino agree to the match because Tenma helped make her who she is today.

Getting a match against the crazy company president should be top of the list of things Hyper Misao would like to do. However she wasn’t happy to find out she will be fighting Sanshiro Takagi. He’s become too old and boring for her wacky ideas. Takagi warned her that he is just as crazy in the ring as he always was so she better be ready to eat her words!

Juria Nagano seems to be training with Yuka Sakazaki and Mizuki if her latest TikTok is anything to go by.

The complete match line-up will be revealed tomorrow. The show will have ten matches in total.

0. Ultimate Tag League 2022 – A Block: Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya (4) defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Hideki Okatani (2) by Forfeit.
1. Kazusada Higuchi defeated Yuki Ishida with the Brain Claw (10:00).
2. Pheromones Vs DISASTER BOX!: Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Yuki “Sexy” Iino Vs Toru Owashi & Naomi Yoshimura ended in a No Contest (13:08).
3. Chris Brookes defeated Yukio Naya with the Death By Roll-Up (12:41).
4. Fukushima Specialty Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Gorgeous Matsuno when Honda pinned Matsuno with a Crushed La Magistral Cradle (13:07).
5. Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul defeated Yuji Hino & Akito when Sasaki submitted Akito with the Crossface Lock (12:43).
6. BURNING! Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada defeated Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & MAO when Endo pinned Katsumata with the Best Burning Star Press In the Universe (19:27).

A Block

1. Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama (6)
2. Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno (4)
-. Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya (4)
4. Kazusada Higuchi & Hideki Okatani (2)
5. Shuji Kondo & Kazuki Hirata (0)

B Block

1. HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura (4)
-. Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul (4)
-. Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari (4)
4. Shunma Katsumata & MAO (2)
-. Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi (2)

The absence of Konosuke Takeshita was noticeable from both sides in the main event. Tetsuya Endo felt something was different and Jun Akiyama told him The 37KAMIINA come off lukewarm without their main man. Endo still wants to send him a message. He will beat Takeshita at Korakuen Hall and then at Sumo Hall in the next month! Endo also ripped off MAO’s shirt during the match. The shirt was a piece of Gorgeous Matsuno merchandise, MAO’s favourite one in fact. He swore to get revenge on Endo over it.

Matsuno & Yukio Sakaguchi swapped robes for their entrance. It must have been Matsuno’s idea because Sakaguchi didn’t look happy doing it. Matsuno also teased he will form a new unit with him soon, one that will last for a long time. Sakaguchi instantly shot down that idea and refuses having to do it. Matsuno then came up with another idea. He will hold a show in Fukushima celebrating his 20th anniversary in wrestling on 19th September!

Pheromones came up with a creative public execution for Hisaya Imabayashi this time. Makoto Oishi carried in a tiny snowman which was placed on Yuki Iino’s crotch while he was lying down. Danshoku Dieno then gave Imabayashi an Atomic Drop onto the snowman. Afterward they smothered his face and crotch with the snow.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO JOSHI 2022 WINTER” Results

February 23, 2022

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO JOSHI 2022 WINTER”, 23/02/2022
Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall
202 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Hikari Noa & Kaya Toribami when Kamifuku pinned Toribami with the Famouser (9:10).
2. 3 Way Match: Suzume defeated Haruna Neko and Moka Miyamoto when Suzume pinned Neko with a Jackknife Pin (9:52).
3. Hyper Misao defeated Marika Kobashi with the Hypami Returns (10:51).
4. Shoko Nakajima, Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino defeated Raku, Pom Harajuku & Yuki Arai when Aino pinned Harajuku after the Bakuretsu Bulldog (14:40).
5. Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Nao Kakuta defeated Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Arisu Endo when Tatsumi pinned Endo with the Twist Of Fate (16:28).

After the main event Rika Tatsumi told the audience that she and Yuka Sakazaki entered Tokyo Joshi Pro together as classmates. They both went their own directions and each ended up with good tag team partners, Tatsumi with Miu Watanabe and Sakazaki with Mizuki. The two teams will face off at “GRAND PRINCESS ’22” and both teams are promising to win. Daydream want to win the Princess Tag Team Titles at Sumo Hall while The Magical Sugar Rabbits want to defend them in the same place. Backstage Tatsumi said she has learned how inseparable MagiRabi are together so she will hunt down the both of them at Ryogoku!

The Bakuretsu Sisters are going to explode at Sumo Hall! Nodoka Tenma doesn’t want her wrestling career to end before she has a match against her sister. Yuki Aino has always declined the idea whenever someone suggested it but this time Tenma won’t take no for an answer. Aino agreed, saying she made it to where she is today because of Tenma and she now wants to defeat her with all of her strength.

When the show began it was announced that Hyper Misao will take on Sanshiro Takagi at Sumo Hall. When Misao’s match was over, she got on the microphone and admitted she is disappointed that the match is happening. She would have wanted to fight the Takagi she saw eight years ago when she discovered pro wrestling but now he is just an ordinary president who cares more about numbers than doing crazy things. Takagi understands her complaints. He can’t lift one of his shoulders like he used to and he put this match together because he does want to sell more tickets for the show. But he is still a pro wrestler and that pro wrestler will stand in front of Misao at Sumo Hall so she better not regret her words! He promises their match will get crazy even though he also has to wrestle at the DDT show in the same building the next day.

One week before Marika Kobashi graduates from Tokyo Joshi Pro, she will have a starring role at the next “TJPW INSPIRATION” show on 10th April. She gets to team up with her favorite wrestler Abdullah Kobayashi! Their opponents will be Antonio Honda & SAKI.

Misao tried to hold a protest before her match with Kobashi to stop her from graduating. She complained about feeling lonely because people she meets in TJPW keep graduating from the company. Kobashi grabbed her placard sign and attacked her with it.

1. 3 Way Match: Suzume Vs Haruna Neko Vs Moka Miyamoto
2. Shoko Nakajima, Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino Vs Raku, Pom Harajuku & Yuki Arai
3. Hikari Noa & Kaya Toribami Vs Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu
4. Hyper Misao Vs Marika Kobashi
5. Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Arisu Endo Vs Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Nao Kakuta

A card has been put up by Tokyo Joshi Pro the evening before their show takes place. Hopefully there are no last minute covid cases that will change things. It’s another preview battle between The Magical Sugar Rabbits and Daydream with Arisu Endo and Nao Kakuta added to the mix.

TJPW are teasing that Shoko Nakajima and The Bakuretsu Sisters will be teaming together for the last time tomorrow. But they are being coy by including a “(?)” in the website headline. Nodoka Tenma has a little over a month left before her retirement and there’s only half a dozen TJPW shows during that period. That’s not many matches left for her to do.

5. Special Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai Vs Sanshiro Takagi & Maya Yukihi
6. Ultimate Tag League 2022 – Final: Winners Of Block A Vs Winners Of Block B

It’s been confirmed that Hideki Okatani has tested positive for covid. Since both he and Kazuki Hirata will be absent from the Ultimate Tag League finale, DDT decided that the Eruption Vs Hirata & Shuji Kondo tag match is forfeited by both teams and no points will be awarded to either side. Both teams were already out of the running so it has no effect on A Block’s standings. A changed lineup for the show, presumably to give Kazusada Higuchi and Shuji Kondo something to do, will be announced as soon as it is decided.

February 22, 2022

BASARA “BASARA 184 ~GLITTER~”, 22/02/2022
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Withheld

1. Yusuke Kubo defeated Chicharito Shoki with a Gedo Clutch (9:10).
2. Takumi Tsukamoto & Yusuke Kubo defeated Gouma & Yasu Urano when Tsukamoto submitted Gouma with a Crab Hold (10:12).
3. FUMA defeated SAGAT with the Cross Armbreaker (14:30).
4. Isami Kodaka, Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita defeated Tsutomu Oosugi, Banana Senga & Fuminori Abe when Shimomura pinned Abe with an Invertied Hurricanrana (14:19).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with the V Slider (18:21).
*V3 for Ryota Nakatsu.

The long delayed Union MAX Title match between Ryota Nakatsu and Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi finally took place. Nakatsu had a visual pin on Hiroshi with the V Slider but the referee Yuya Okada was knocked out earlier and couldn’t count it. Hiroshi did his best to fight back but Nakatsu hit another V Slider and this time Okada was there to count the pin. Hiroshi admitted he was overconfident but Nakatsu called him the best genius in BASARA.

Suddenly, FUMA ran in and gave Nakatsu a judo throw. He then revealed something he kept secret from everyone all this time. The leader of Asian Kung Fu Revolution is not a Chinese kung fu master! He is in fact Japanese and spent 6 years in a judo club during junior high and high school. Watching the title match made his heart go wild so he wants to challenge Nakatsu for the MAX Title. Nakatsu accepted the challenge but was in for a surprise. For you see, FUMA actually does know kung fu. He just lied to trick Nakatsu into giving him a title shot. FUMA promised he will use the 4,000 years of Chinese history found in his kung fu techniques to beat Nakatsu!

Yusuke Kubo kept yelling at Chicharito Shoki to go back to Chiba while they were fighting. Shoki refused because he wanted to wrestle in front of all the fans in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

4. Kazusada Higuchi & Hideki Okatani (2)
5. Shuji Kondo & Kazuki Hirata (0)

Here’s the updates for DDT that caused the show above to change more matches. The PCR results for Konosuke Takeshita came back negative. However the illness he does have was diagnosed as a stomach bug and he is not fit to compete on Wednesday. Toui Kojima also tested negative but is still showing flu symptoms so he is off the show too.

Hideki Okatani is identified as a close contact so he cannot be at the show either. That means Eruption must forfeit their Ultimate Tag League match against Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya and eliminates them from the running for 1st place in their block. Okatani is expected to be back for the Tag League finale this Sunday if he doesn’t test positive before then. The lesson here boys and girls is do not run a tournament during a pandemic.
