4. SANADA, DOUKI & SHO defeated Yuki Ueno, Akito & Kaisei Takechi by Referee Stoppage when DOUKI used the Italian Stretch No. 32 on Akito (16:08).

A few DDT wrestlers were given an invite to a dangerous event held in a New Japan ring. The House Of Torture are the latest act in the company who got to run a vanity show of their own, following in the footsteps of El Desperado and Taiji Ishimori. But while the previous shows were put together for the sake of having crazy ideas come to life, today’s event had a more evil (or should I say EVIL) motive. The House Of Torture had a list of wrestlers they wanted to purge for one reason or another and EVIL wanted to see Kaisei Takechi in particular be punished for his success.

SHO started things off by making fun of THE RAMPAGE and called everyone on Takechi’s team a bunch of country bumpkins. Akito then got under SHO’s skin by pointing out that SHO may be hiding his true feelings but he is taking everything in this match seriously. The proof is right there in how much he prepared his speech to introduce each wrestler on the team to the audience. Also you don’t get a physique with low body fat like that without some serious training.

The House ended up getting the last laugh with a destructive victory over the DDT team. SANADA broke a guitar over Yuki Ueno’s head while DOUKI used the Italian Stretch No. 32 on Akito, holding onto him with a tight grip. SHO added extra damage by hitting Akito over the head with a tray while he was stuck in the hold, leading the referee to stop the match for Akito’s safety and declare HOT the winners. The team then added extra insult to injury by attacked Takechi after the bell, holding him upside down with his legs split apart so SANADA could karate chop him in the crotch.

Backstage DOUKI said that just because Takechi is good looking, has a great body and can do super cool moves that doesn’t mean he is a match for HOT. All of his lame fans who support THE RAMPAGE shouldn’t underestimate pro wrestling! The same goes for anyone who thinks DDT and NJPW are on the same level. However Ueno noticed there was a giant glint in DOUKI’s eye while they were wrestling each other because the two of them used to train together in DDT’s old dojo ten years ago. With that being said there is only on wrestler in NJPW that makes Ueno’s heart flutter and that’s Hiromu Takahashi. If Ueno ever comes back to New Japan, he will be on the lookout for him. Meanwhile Takechi stepped forward under his own volition and told reporters he wants to have a match with Hiroshi Tanahashi somewhere before Tanahashi’s retirement takes place.

1. Kaya Toribami defeated Toga with the Sento Choryu (8:29).
2. Rika Tatsumi defeated Gabai Ji-chan with a Reverse Figure 4 Leg Lock (11:31).
3. Mizuki & Yuki Aino defeated Raku & HIMAWARI when Mizuki pinned Raku with the Cutie Special (14:59).
4. Shoko Nakajima & Miyu Yamashita Vs Yuu & Yuki Kamifuku ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).

You never forget where you came from. Yuu never forgot where she came from either. It’s been seven years since she graduated from Tokyo Joshi Pro and she hadn’t stepped foot back inside until today. She will be retiring from pro wrestling at the end of the year but before that can happen she just had to come by for one last appearance. For the special match Yuu teamed with Yuki Kamifuku to take on Miyu Yamashita & Shoko Nakajima, two former rivals she has fought with over the Princess Of Princess Title in the past. Yamashita relished the chance to kick her again while Yuu took the blows and threw her around just as hard. Nakajima and Kamifuku weren’t left out of the action either and all four of them were spent when the bell rang for a time limit draw.

After the match Kamifuku got on the microphone to welcome Yuu back to TJPW. She told Yuu how sad she was when Yuu left the promotion but Kamifuku used that as motivation to work harder. Now she is a champion leading the younger generation. She joked that Yuu couldn’t imagine this matchup ending in a draw knowing how often Kamifuku lost her matches back then. She has improved so much that she wants her three seniors to start praising her. As soon as this match was announced, Yamashita was reminded of all the times she and Yuu exchanged blows like crazy. Today was just like that and even though Yamashita’s chest was left red, it felt so good. The red marks will go away but the Chops Yuu gave her will always be in her heart. Nakajima pointed out that she is the same age as Yuu and they share the same birthday. However when it comes to wrestling Nakajima is a little bit older so it makes her sad to see Yuu is retiring before her.

Yuu promised she wasn’t going to cry until she retires but she couldn’t help doing it today because she’s never going to fight with these wrestlers again. She was the first woman to graduate from TJPW but continue wrestling elsewhere. While she didn’t always see eye to eye with Tetsuya Koda, she wanted to take this chance to thank him along with everyone else in the company for giving her a warm send off at the time. She loves pro wrestling and is truly grateful that she’ll be able to retire while still loving it. From next year onwards she will support TJPW as a fan.

When Match #3 began Raku immediately asked Yuki Aino for a hug and offered her an eye mask so they could take a nap in the ring together. Mizuki told Aino not to take the offer but Aino couldn’t resist. Raku quickly rolled her up for a nearfall but Aino kicked out and briefly wrestled while still having the eye mask blocking her sight. She went on to handle HIMAWARI while Mizuki pinned Raku with the Cutie Special.

Rika Tatsumi tried to be polite to Gabai Ji-chan by holding down the bottom ring rope for him to enter the ring but he decided to trip her down with his walking cane. Then as they wrestled, Tatsumi strangled Ji-chan in the corner until he fainted. She got upset thinking he died but he was only playing possum to roll her up for a nearfall. He also did the Old School rope walk by using his cane for assitance. Tatsumi pulled the cane away, causing him to get crotched on the ropes. Ji-chan tried fighting back but his legs kept giving up on him whenever he attempted a Body Slam. He also injured his knee from giving Tatsumi (with her diamond hips) an Atomic Drop. Tatsumi worked the leg but that couldn’t stop Ji-chan from suddenly using Keiji Muto’s moveset from the Dragon Screw to the Shining Wizard to the Ribbreaker. He then went for the Moonsault, landing on his feet when Tatsumi moved out of the way and injuring his knee again. That ended up costing him the match because when he later tried to put on a Figure 4 Leg Lock, Tatsumi turned over to reverse it and he immediately tapped out from the pain.

Fresh off of winning the IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Titles with Yamashita last week, Kaya Toribami fought Toga in a singles match. She countered the Rock Bottom to roll Toga into position for an Enzuigiri and then once Toga was laid into position, Toribami pinned her with the Sento Choryu.

Chika Nanase worked the show as a ringside attendant but she also joined Rise Shirai for the show opening announcements.

1. 3 Way Tag Match: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated Daichi Kazato & Yasu Urano and Takeru Inoue & Tomoki Hatano when Nakano pinned Inoue with a Spinning Crucifix Pin (10:40).
2. SAGAT, Lil’ Kraken & Minoru Fujita defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga when SAGAT pinned Hiroshi with the Super Earth Reverse Spin Slam (8:50).
3. Takumi Tsukamoto defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Running Zudon (8:52).
4. Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA defeated Munetatsu Nakamura & Shota Kawakami when FUMA submitted Kawakami with an Arm Bar (10:58).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated Ken Ohka with the V Slider (13:24).
*V5 for Ryota Nakatsu.

The main event was a battle between the BASARA boss and the Ganbare☆Pro boss over the future of the Union MAX Title. The challenger Ken Ohka felt he deserved to take the championship as one of the few remaining Union Pro wrestlers still around. However Ryota Nakatsu withstood the Spear Of Flame and turned it into the V Slider to defend the championship. After the match Nakatsu confronted Ohka over a rumour that he already offered title match to somebody on 28th December if he ha become the champion today. Ohka admitted he did and the person he made the offer to was the one wrestler you think of above anyone else when it comes to Union Pro, Shuji Ishikawa!

28th December is the only date Ishikawa has available for the rest of the year so Ohka decided they could do the title match on that day’s BASARA show. Nakatsu thought about it and pointed out that Seiya Morohashi is also still active. Ohka then admitted he was going to give him a title shot on the 27th December BASARA show. Nakatsu decided he will give Morohashi a MAX Title shot on 11th December and the champion coming out of it will then defend the belt against Ishikawa on the 28th. He is aware that this plan can backfire and turn BASARA’s final show of the year into a Union Pro memorial!

Three days ago Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken went over to 2AW and lost to MJ2 in a failed attempt to bring the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles back to BASARA. After his match today, Shimomura said he isn’t giving up chasing after the title and now wants Takumi Tsukamoto to help get the belts back. Tsukamoto made sure that Shimomura is motivated enough to do that before accepting to team up with him.

Takato Nakano threw out a challenge to Kosuke Sato for the BJW Jr. Heavyweight Title. The two have known each other through the Hamaguchi Gym ever since Nakano moved to Tokyo when he was 18 years old. He thinks Sato is the wrestler most like himself and also the person he would like to wrestle the most.

Iron Man Title Change During Another Game Of Mahjong

November 18, 2025

“IRON MAN HEAVYMETALWEIGHT TITLE MATCH – MAHJONG”, 17/11/2025
Tokyo Mahjong Bell Bird Shinbashi
4 Players

1. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Mahjong Match: Shinji Torigoe (48,300 pts) defeated Mahiro Kiryu (c) (16,800 pts), Ken Ohka (30,000 pts) and Danshoku Dieno (4,900 pts) (81:20).
*Shinji Torigoe becomes the 1,783rd champion.
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Ken Ohka’s White Tank Top defeated Shinji Torigoe (c) by Pinfall (2:19 pm).
*Ken Ohka’s White Tank Top becomes the 1,784th champion.
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Mahiro Kiryu defeated Ken Ohka’s White Tank Top (c) with a Body Slam (2:21 pm).
*Mahiro Kiryu becomes the 1,785th champion.

One month ago Mahiro Kiryu gave herself the challenge of defending the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title in a game of Mahjong against experienced players. However due to the short notice of the idea, the competition hardly showed up. So yesterday she tried out the idea again and had three opponents ready this time. The three opponents were planned to be Ken Ohka, Danshoku Dieno and Thanomsak Toba. All of them have experience in playing the game. However Toba didn’t show up because he woke up at 3am in the morning to work on his video editing gig, forgot about the game taking place and went to lunch instead. Suddenly Shinji Torigoe appeared. He is a professional mahjong player, the person who taught Kiryu how to play the game and one of the opponents who lost to her the last time. He wanted a second chance at winning the title and was accepted to replace Toba.

Through writing up the reports of this storyline, I have learned from those who are into the hobby that winning two games of mahjong in a row is a difficult thing to achieve. While she aimed to take the lead early, she found out that Ohka and Dieno are no slouches when it comes to playing the game. Kiryu then received a bad hand while Torigoe gradually increased his score until he took the lead and wouldn’t relinquish it. When it was all over, Torigoe was the winner and became the new Iron Man Champion! He then made a joke about how white Ohka’s tank top is which caused Ohka to lose in temper. In a rage, Ohka took off his vest and choked Torigoe unconscious before leaving the room in a fit! The ref Daisuke Kiso then noticed the vest was “pinning” Torigoe’s limp shoulders to the chair and counted to three, ruling that Ken Ohka’s White Tank Top was the new champion!

Kiryu acted quickly and grabbed the vest. With a mighty lift she Body Slammed it onto the floor and went for the cover to become the Iron Man Champion once more. She took a big risk today and almost paid the price. However she is having fun defending the title in games of mahjong and would like to continue doing it. She also noted how strong of a player Ohka is.

1. Shota Kawakami & Ryuma Sekimo defeated Takeru Inoue & Hinata Kasai when Kawakami submitted Inoue with a Crab Hold (10:18).

5. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Yasu Urano with a Takatonic (20:01).

Yasu Urano gave himself a very busy day to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of his debut match. Not only did he put together his own show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING, he was also involved with a special K-DOJO reunion show in Chiba that same day and also found time in the evening to wrestle Akito in a Best 4 Out Of 7 Falls Match inside the Ochanomizu Dojo owned by DDT! On this show though Urano’s focus was on wrestling Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi. His opponent ended up using Masahiro Takanashi’s finisher the Takatonic to win the match.

The involvement of Poison Sawada JULIE on the undercard led to some snake magic related brainwashing. His teammates HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi were transformed into JARASHIMA & Toru Orochi before the match and KUDO also showed up to get involved in the match too. Shuji Ishikawa was brought in to be Danshoku Dieno’s replacement when Dieno was not cleared to wrestle.

6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, To-y & Yuya Koroku defeated MAO, KANON & Kazuma Sumi (w/ KIMIHIRO) when Ueno pinned Sumi with the Frog Splash (19:46).

Normally when DDT holds their annual outdoor “UTAN FESTA” shows there is a World Omori Title match to go with it. The current champion right now is Masahiro Takanashi but he is still out of action with his cervical injury. Rather than strip him of the title, DDT instead opted to crown an Interim World Omori Champion on this year’s show. Both Kazuki Hirata and Antonio Honda were joint No. 1 Contenders coming out of last year’s Battle Royal so they were now fighting each other over the Interim Title. Hirata came out on top and promised to spend an entire year as the undefeated Interim Champion. However the new No. 1 Contender Ilusion threated to take the belt next year and replace it with the World Akabane Title which he will be the champion of forever! Hirata promised that next year he will take off Ilusion’s mask and force him to become a resident of Omori!

2. SETUP All Asia Women’s Title – 3 Way Bangkok Death Match: Matcha (c) defeated Ram Kaichow and Pom Harajuku when Matcha pinned Harajuku with the Saito Suplex (9:52).
*V3 for Matcha.
4. IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Titles – 3 Way Match: Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami defeated Andruew Tang & Jake De Leon (c) and Kappa Kozo & Kappa Jr. when Toribami pinned Kozo with the Sento Choryu (9:23).
*RGT fails in V1. Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami become the 15th IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Champions!
5. Double Main Event I – Ace Vs Ace: HARASHIMA defeated Shivam with the Somato (12:17).

Note: The results and attendance number was given to me by SETUP Thailand Pro Wrestling themselves.

After a long time of planning, SETUP was able to land in Tokyo to hold their very first full show in Japan. Through their working relationships with several wrestlers and promotions (they took over the IWA Japan lineage after Tatsukuni Asano passed away last year, hence IWA Thailand now existing) they put together a card inside TOKYO SQUARE In Itabashi and were able to draw in quite a big crowd to it. DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro had some presence on the shows and while I normally would have saved this for the next DDT Around The World article at the end of the month, some timely news coming out of the show means it is best for me to post it now.

DDT was represented in the first of two main events on the show. HARASHIMA was called in to face SETUP’s top wrestler Shivam in an Ace Vs Ace showdown. He was able to keep on his toes by relying on the Somato to cut off Shivam’s momentum. He hit the move out of nowhere after taking a Sit Down Power Bomb and then used it a few more times on route to victory.

TJPW were involved in two matches on the day with high risks leading to mixed results. The good news for TJPW fans is Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami are now champions together! The two of them won the IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Titles in a 3 Way Tag Match. Fighting them were the defending champions Real Global Threat and pestering nuisance that is the Kappa World Order. Given the environment, things got out of control and it ended up costing RGT their belts. Andruew Tang & Jake De Leon were on track to winning the match when a third Kappa at ringside grabbed and pulled them out of the ring. The TJPW team then took down the kWo, using a combo of the Skull Kick from Yamashita followed by the Sento Choryu from Toribami for the surprise title change.

The other 3 Way with a championship on the line didn’t go as well for Pom Harajuku. She was thrown into a Bangkok Death Match against Matcha and Ram Kaichow with the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title on the line. It was a chance for Harajuku to take the belt from Matcha for a second time in their career but this time things went differently. Some of the Bangkok themed moments in the match included the women playing Kra-dòht yan with a rope until Kaichow snipped it in half with scissors, Harajuku wearing muay thai cosplay and everyone hitting each other with metal trays. Harajuku’s muay thai cosplay dragged Thanomsak Toba into the match where he ended up putting a glove on at ringside and knocked out both Matcha and Harajuku with punches. Matcha was able to recover and used the Saito Suplex to pin Harajuku back inside the ring for a successful title defence.

Now that Matcha got revenge on Harajuku and is gathering momentum on her side, she is now looking towards the distant future. TJPW will be coming to Thailand for their own show on 13th December and Matcha will be a part of it. She wants to get a title match on that show but it won’t be her defending her own championship. She is challenging Miu Watanabe for the Princess Of Princess Title in Bangkok next month!
