After a year’s absence the Chouten ~Itadaki~ tournament is back for its 7th edition. For its entire existence I always called it the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ as a direct translation but it’s more accurate to call it Chouten. I can be stubborn that way.

The line up for the Chouten ~Itadaki~ 2022 tournament was revealed. This year’s tournament is a 16 wrestler playoff held on three shows. Round 1 takes place on 11th October, Round 2 on 22nd October and the Semi Finals and Final on 8th November.

Yumehito Imanari has a background role in the upcoming movie “ROMAN PORNO NOW”, the latest release from a long running softcore movie series entering its 50th anniversary. Imanari is citing this as proof that his career is not dead after losing the Spirit Of Ganbare Title to Hartley Jackson last week. Instead the movie role is how he will enter a new chapter of his life and he believes he will triumphantly return to Ganpro as a star.

Isami Kodaka got one back on Ryota Nakatsu by eliminating him from the main event by pinfall. However Kodaka couldn’t continue that momentum to survive the match against his remaining opponents Speed Of Sounds. Kodaka and Tsutomu Oosugi eliminated each other by taking each other over the top rope and out of the ring, leaving Banana Senga as the last man left. Senga was the match MVP, eliminating FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi within the same minute of each other.

Asian Kung Fu Revolution came up with a movie theme for their produce show called “GAME OF BASARA”. For the evening Daichi Kazato turned into Kazat=Lee and teamed with the rest of the unit to battle space monsters and past versions of themselves played by the BASARA roster. There was even a revival of the Ultimate Superstars Action brand with a new American wrestler named Block Lesnar (Masato Kamino) coming in for a match. SAGAT in particular was busy today. He played the roles of Previous Life Hiroshi, Dildo Love and Uchu Kyoryu Zetton throughout the show.

FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi challenged Speed Of Sounds to an IRON FIST Tag Titles match on 21st June.

4a. Rematch: FUMA, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato (w/ Gouma) defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Fuminori Abe & Yasu Urano when Hiroshi pinned Tsukamoto with the Tani Otoshi (8:14).
5. Union MAX Title – GRACE GROUP Presents: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated Daiki Shimomura with the V Slider (18:51).
*V5 for Ryota Nakatsu.

It’s now five Union Max Title defences for Ryota Nakatsu, tying the amount from his first reign. He is proud of how passionate Daiki Shimomura fought but told him he should not be satisfied over it. Nakatsu is old and Shimomura are young but they both have a lot of energy so they will continue doing their best for BASARA! No new challenger came out but instead the president of GRACE GROUP asked him for three favours. First, he wants to host a Grace Project show on 5th June built around BASARA taking on a group of wrestlers representing the Grace Family. Nakatsu agreed to it.

The president brought out Kamui and Kenya Maeda. They said the entire Grace Family has already been chosen. They are Kamui, Katsumi Oribe, Kota Umeda, Tomoya Hirata, Daisuke Masaoka and Takashi Sasaki! Nakatsu accepted the challenge and talked with the president over who should be on BASARA’s team. They decided on Nakatsu, Shimomura, Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino, Isami Kodaka and maybe they will offer the last spot to SAGAT. Maeda then introduced himself as Tatsuhito Takaiwa’s number one disciple and kept repeating himself when Kodaka acted like he wasn’t paying attention. They agreed to a singles match against each other at a Grace Project show taking place in two days time. That was the president’s second request. The third and final request was allowing them to sell tickets to the show at the concession area after the show.

Before the 6-Man Tag Match began, Gouma warned the Asian Kung Fu Revolution that someone on their team was going to betray them. Daichi Kazato immediately said it wasn’t him over and over. However Gouma kept getting in the way of his own teammates until he got into a fight with Takumi Tsukamoto, causing a full scale brawl to start and the match to end in a Double DQ. FUMA then revealed Gouma was the traitor all along and he is the newest member of Asian Kung Fu Revolution! The match restarted and this time Gouma kept messing up and hitting his new teammates. They turned on him causing the other team to come to his aid. However this was another trick and Gouma hugged Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi as another sign of betrayal. Gouma then gave Tsukamoto the Jumping Neckbreaker Drop and Hiroshi pinned him with the Tani Otoshi. The two teams continued brawling after the match and all fought their way backstage.

1. FUMA, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Lil’ Kraken & Yasu Urano when FUMA pinned Kraken with a German Suplex (12:04).
2. Jacket Match: Fuminori Abe defeated Gouma by Knockout with the Nagabuchi K (24:02).
3. Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa when Shimomura pinned Nakatsu with an Inverted Hurricanrana (17:35).
4. Shigehiro Irie defeated SAGAT with the Beast Bomber (17:10).
5. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (c) defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Oosugi pinned Kamino with a School Boy (18:09).

It was a lucky result for Speed Of Sounds today. They barely defeated Aijin Tag thanks to a Thrust Kick from Banana Senga to Masato Kamino leading into a School Boy from Tsutomu Oosugi. Senga admitted afterwards that the match was even closer than the one last month and they probably wouldn’t win if they did another rematch. Oosugi cut him off but Takato Nakano’s eyes lit up and he begged for another rematch next month. SOS won’t do it so Nakano told them to hold onto the IRON FIST Tag Titles until Aijin Tag can earn another title shot.

Shigehiro Irie offered to shake SAGAT’s hand after their match but SAGAT refused. Instead he begged Irie for a rematch somewhere down the line. Irie nodded and left the ring.

A “perfect three count” happened when Daiki Shimomura pinned Ryota Nakatsu in their tag match. He pinned him with a 2 count before and today’s three count means Shimomura now has the confidence he needs to beat Nakatsu again when the Union MAX Title is on the line on 28th April.

The Jacket Match between Fuminori Abe and Gouma actually begun during the show opening announcements and continued while the opening tag match was going on. Both matches ended up getting mixed together at points. This was allowed to happen because the Jacket Match had No DQs, No Countouts and could only be won by Knockout. Abe won by knocking out Gouma with the Nagabuchi Kick. Asian Kung Fu Revolution then attacked the both of them because it turns out Abe and Gouma just ruined FUMA’s 12th Anniversary match! Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano came back out to rescue them, leading to a big brawl between everyone in the ring.

1. Isami Kodaka, Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Yusuke Kubo & Daichi Kazato when Shimomura pinned Kazato with the Swanton Bomb (15:00).
2. 3 Way Match: SAGAT defeated Gouma and Lil Kraken when SAGAT pinned Gouma with the Goregrind (7:18).
3. Masahiro Takanashi & Chris Brookes defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano when Brookes pinned Urano after the OATH At The Peach Garden (15:08).
4. Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Oosugi pinned Nakano with a Cradle (9:40).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated FUMA with a Back Roll Clutch (16:40).

Ryota Nakatsu beats FUMA by the skin of his teeth to retain the Union MAX Title. Nakatsu thanked FUMA for the challenge and FUMA admitted the champion’s judo was stronger than his own kung fu. Daiki Shimomura walked out and reminded Nakatsu he beat him in the first round of last year’s Heaven Summit tournament. It was in a 2 Count match and even so, Tsukamoto claims he kicked out at 1.9. Shimomura said he can beat him with a three count so he challenged him to a title match next month.

Speed Of Sounds praised their opponents for becoming a stronger tag team, one that could beat them the next time they wrestle each other. Takato Nakano took their word and demanded a rematch with the IRON FIST Tag Titles on the line. If it is true that he and Masato Kamino have even a tiny percent chance of beating SOS then they want to take it. Tsutomu Oosugi tried to explain he only said that as a compliment but he & Banana Senga had to accept the challenge in the end. Nakano & Kamino want to win the belts and stand at the forefront of BASARA!

The OATH At The Peach Garden used by CDK is a Super Kick from Masahiro Takanashi into a Back Clutch Hold from Chris Brookes.

2. Takumi Tsukamoto & Yusuke Kubo defeated Gouma & Yasu Urano when Tsukamoto submitted Gouma with a Crab Hold (10:12).
3. FUMA defeated SAGAT with the Cross Armbreaker (14:30).
4. Isami Kodaka, Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita defeated Tsutomu Oosugi, Banana Senga & Fuminori Abe when Shimomura pinned Abe with an Invertied Hurricanrana (14:19).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with the V Slider (18:21).

The long delayed Union MAX Title match between Ryota Nakatsu and Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi finally took place. Nakatsu had a visual pin on Hiroshi with the V Slider but the referee Yuya Okada was knocked out earlier and couldn’t count it. Hiroshi did his best to fight back but Nakatsu hit another V Slider and this time Okada was there to count the pin. Hiroshi admitted he was overconfident but Nakatsu called him the best genius in BASARA.

Suddenly, FUMA ran in and gave Nakatsu a judo throw. He then revealed something he kept secret from everyone all this time. The leader of Asian Kung Fu Revolution is not a Chinese kung fu master! He is in fact Japanese and spent 6 years in a judo club during junior high and high school. Watching the title match made his heart go wild so he wants to challenge Nakatsu for the MAX Title. Nakatsu accepted the challenge but was in for a surprise. For you see, FUMA actually does know kung fu. He just lied to trick Nakatsu into giving him a title shot. FUMA promised he will use the 4,000 years of Chinese history found in his kung fu techniques to beat Nakatsu!

Yusuke Kubo kept yelling at Chicharito Shoki to go back to Chiba while they were fighting. Shoki refused because he wanted to wrestle in front of all the fans in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.
