5. Isami Kodaka & Masato Kamino Vs Takumi Tsukamoto & Fuminori Abe

We’re building up to Isami Kodaka against Fuminori Abe for the Union MAX Title next month.

The FUMA Vs Yasu Urano match can be treated as an unofficial 3rd place playoff from the Chouten ~Itadaki~ tournament. Both of them were eliminated from the semi finals.

BASARA “BASARA 205 ~OJI NI KITSUNE 22~”, 26/11/2022

4. Loser Loses Gilberto Style Match: Yasu Urano Vs Isami Kodaka
5. Kung Fu Yoga Allied Forces Vs Ninja USA Forces Counter Attack: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & FUMA Vs Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT

Asian Kung Fu Revolution are producing the evening show. Can the alliance of Kung Fu and Yoga defeat American ninjas in the final battle of the night?

The Gilberto Style Match between Urano and Kodaka is taken from the anime Baki The Grappler. In the anime it is a contest where both fighters hold onto the same handkerchief while they fight. The first one to let go of the handkerchief loses. The “Loser Loses” wordplay is because the Loser Loses his honour in defeat.

Speed Of Sounds having a match against each other is notable by itself but the match title sounding like a reference to Ranma 1/2’s cursed springs has me confused over what they could be planning.

7. D-Ou Grand Prix 2022 – Final: Yuki Ueno Vs Yukio Naya

Naya visited his father Takatoriki Tadashige this week to give him the latest report on his pro wrestling career as well as talk about his brother Oho’s currently impressive run at the Grand Sumo Tournament in Fukuoka. Naya told his father he was competing in the D-Ou Grand Prix and qualified for the final next month. Takatoriki praised his son for working hard but told him he always had weak luck. Everybody likes people who are hungry to succeed and try their best but those qualities can be useless if Naya does not have the spirit to bring down his opponent and win. So Takatoriki offered to teach Naya that spirit by using forbidden gambling training to improve his luck.

The training is forbidden because Takatoriki was a retired sumo wrestler who became blackballed from the sport after admitting to illegal gambling on baseball games which resulted borrowing large amounts of money to pay off his debts. Despite his dark history with gambling, he felt this was necessary and challenged Naya to beat him in a game of blackjack. Naya succeeded and his father promised to reward him with a 6 month gift voucher at a Personal Training gym if he wins the D-Ou Grand Prix.

Four of the D-Ou Grand Prix participants who failed to make the final now have to team up together and fight the entire DAMNATION T.A.

Naruki Doi returns and gets his request to fight HARASHIMA granted. It’s in a 6-Man Tag Match though and HARASHIMA has to fight against the rest of his DISASTER BOX stablemates.

GANBARE☆PRO “GUNHED 2022”, 19/11/2022
Chiba 2AW Square

1. Soma Takao & Tyson Maeguchi Vs Shuichiro Katsumura & Shinichiro Tominaga

4. GanJo Three Big Singles Match: HARUKAZE Vs YuuRI
5. GanJo Three Big Singles Match: Moeka Haruhi Vs Yoshiko Hasegawa
6. GanJo Three Big Singles Match: Yuna Manase Vs Echika Miyabi

It’s time for Ganbare☆Joshi to finally do those big series of singles matches that shows are built around sometimes. Most of the division are taking on each other but Yuna Manase is getting a brand new opponent making her Ganbare☆Pro debut. Echika Miyabi is a trans joshi wrestler who made her pro wrestling debut with P.P.P. Tokyo in September. Miyabi is 21 years old, 178cm tall and weighs 75kg. She had a background in baseball and judo before she transitioned during her college years. She worked at a muscle girls themed bar where she was introduced to pro wrestling by her workmate, Chanyota and began training with her.

It will be a few weeks until the next Spirit Of Ganbare Title defence so until then Hartley Jackson and Mizuki Watase will have plenty of time to prepare for it. Former champion Tatsuhito Takaiwa is coming back to give Watase some help in his preparation. Jackson will be teaming with Seiya Morohashi for this match.

Kouki Iwasaki’s final match in Ganpro will be against Keisuke Ishii but before that happens, he wants to team with him one last time. Their friendship will be put to the test against Ganpro’s original best buddies, Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari.

DDT “UTAN FESTA 2022”, 27/11/2022
Tokyo JR Omori Station East Exit Square

1. World Omori Title: Chikara (c) Vs Soma Takao

2018 was the last time the World Omori Title was defended outside the JR Omori Station. It’s been years since DDT held a show there but they are finally going back. It was determined four years ago that Chikara would defend the title against Masahiro Takanashi next but Takanashi will be busy wrestling in Singapore. So instead Soma Takao has been chosen to challenge for the belt even though he does not want to. The next No. 1 Contender for the following year’s event is usually determined on this show too.

Now that Pheromones have won the war against Sanshiro Takagi, it is up to Akito to protect DDT from their scandalous ways. Takagi has “graduated” from the feud and selected Akito to take his place as Captain of the Pheromones Subjugation Squad. Akito feels like he’s been in that position for a while anyway but agreed to the idea. He’s not wrestling on this show but will be accompanying the opposing team to make sure Pheromones don’t fall out of line.

The new rookie Kazumi Sumi impressed with his debut match. Jae over at Dragongate revealed in a tweet that Sumi originally came from the dojo over there but dropped out. And that is how DDT is getting some of their new trainees. They start training at other companies, leave for whatever reason and end up over in DDT. Might be a little awkward if he bumps into Naruki Doi in the locker room then.

8. D-Ou Grand Prix 2022 – B Block: Yuji Hino Vs MAO

Doi’s next appearance in DDT will be in Kyoto where he’s teaming with Tetsuya Endo & Akito against three of DDT’s younger wrestlers.

One of the non-tournament matches will feature Joey Janela against Rickey Shane Page on opposite sides. Not sure if there’s still bad blood between the two over the GCW Vs 44OH! feud from not so long ago but they don’t even need that excuse to do something crazy together. They’ll be facing each other in the D-Ou GP a few days later anyway so plenty of chances for them to wreck each other.

Last we heard from Gorgeous Matsuno he was in the early stages of preparations donating a kidney to his partner Junko Tashiro. He gave an update during the week that the kidney transplant has been delayed until next Spring. He explained in an interview that Tashiro’s recent blood tests showed she is in good health and her doctors suggested it might not be a good idea to get a transplant right away while her own kidneys are still functioning. The operation will have to happen eventually but right now Matsuno has been given extra time to go back to his different entertainment activities, including pro wrestling.

1. Special Tag Match: Saki Akai & Yuki Arai Vs Saori Anou & Riko Kawahata
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs X

It’s very likely that the D-Ou winner will challenge Kazusada Higuchi for the KO-D Openweight Title at the end of the year. Or if Higuchi wins the tournament then he will likely nominate his challenger.

Two outsiders have come to challenge Reiwa AA Cannon. The duo of Saori Anou & Riko Kawahata both have histories with Saki Akai but they are completely brand new opponents for Yuki Arai.

BASARA “BASARA 201 ~GLITTER~” Results

October 11, 2022

BASARA “BASARA 201 ~GLITTER~”, 11/10/2022
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Withheld

1. Chouten ~Itadaki~ – Round 1 A Block – 2 Count Rules: FUMA defeated Daiki Shimomura with a Cradle (8:14).
2. Chouten ~Itadaki~ – Round 1 B Block – 2 Count Rules: Yasu Urano defeated Ryota Nakatsu with a School Boy (8:42)
3. Chouten ~Itadaki~ – Round 1 A Block – 2 Count Rules: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Minoru Fujita with a Cross Armbar (7:58).
4. Chouten ~Itadaki~ – Round 1 B Block – 2 Count Rules: Isami Kodaka defeated Banana Senga with the Diving Double Knee Drop (4:24).
5. Chouten ~Itadaki~ – Round 1 A Block – 2 Count Rules: Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Lil’ Kraken with the Tsuki no Ishi (6:23).
6. Chouten ~Itadaki~ – Round 1 B Block – 2 Count Rules: Takato Nakano defeated SAGAT with a Cradle (1:03).
7. Chouten ~Itadaki~ – Round 1 A Block – 2 Count Rules: Fuminori Abe defeated Daichi Kazato with the Modified Manjigatame (5:36).
8. Chouten ~Itadaki~ – Round 1 B Block – 2 Count Rules: Masato Kamino defeated Takumi Tsukamoto with the Lariat (8:38).

The Chouten ~Itadaki~ Quarter Finals are FUMA Vs Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Tsutomu Oosugi Vs Fuminori Abe, Masato Kamino Vs Takato Nakano and Isami Kodaka Vs Yasu Urano.

FUMA said he has been waiting to finally fight Hiroshi with all of his might. Hiroshi credits his Judo skill for eliminating the last Chouten winner Minoru Fujita and believes it will also beat his friend in the next round.

Urano thinks the 2 Count Rule was the reason he beat Ryota Nakatsu in the 1st Round. If Urano is lucky enough to beat him then he is lucky enough to win the tournament! His match with Kodaka in Round 2 is under normal 3 Count rules though.

Oosugi and Abe have never been in a singles match against each other before. However Oosugi still hates Abe a lot because of all the times they fought in tag matches. Abe’s jokey behavior pisses him off.

Aijin Tag now have to meet in the next round. Nakano said he will pin Kamino for a 3 Count in 0.1 seconds. Kamino had to ask the ref if he can physically count that fast.

Yumehito Imanari has a background role in the upcoming movie “ROMAN PORNO NOW”, the latest release from a long running softcore movie series entering its 50th anniversary. Instead the movie role is how he will enter a new chapter of his life and he believes he will triumphantly return to Ganpro as a star.

Daisuke Sasaki & HUB are teaming together for just the second time in their careers. They teamed together on the second “DRAMATIC DREAMS!” show back in 2015.
