The hometown edge didn’t work for Isami Kodaka. He was already on the brink of defeat when Ryota Nakatsu gave him the V Slider but he was done for once he was put in the Super Figure 4 Arm Lock. Nakatsu said Kodaka escaped from his Arm Bar so many times during the match that he got fed up with him to the point where he admits the finish may have been overkill. Kodaka told him he once got advice from a senior to keep fighting strong juniors otherwise you will get old as a wrestler. So Kodaka will keep on challenging Nakatsu. The next Chouten ~Itadaki~ will begin soon and Nakatsu declared he will enter it. He plans to win the tournament so he can nominate his next Union MAX Title challenger.

The team of Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA are now going by the team name Hyakusho Ikki. Their opponents Daiki Shimomura & Keisuke Ishii weren’t considered to be a proper team when they challenged the Iron Fist Tag Team Champions but those concerns were pushed aside once the match began. The champs retained the belts and Sekine quickly left the show to go back to his village because the busy farming season is coming up. Shimomura wants to continue teaming with Ishii and the feeling is mutual. Ishii is getting addicted to BASARA’s charm and would like to enter the Chouten ~Itadaki~.

Kikutaro had a lot of legal questions to ask Gouma Ryu while they were fighting. Things such as is it a non-consensual wrestling crime to say “I’m going to kill you” to your opponent?

Judomaster complained about losing to KUBITO so quickly, claiming it was done via a foul. The two agreed to continue their match as a Best Two Out Of Three Falls contest. Judomaster won the second falls and quickly decided to leave until KUBITO called him the “Red Masked Man”. He returned for the third fall and got unmasked to reveal he is Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi underneath. KUBITO then decided to put the mask over the referee’s face, obscuring his vision. Hiroshi then unmasked KUBITO and the referee decided to disqualify them both for the fouls.

1. Takato Nakano defeated Shota Kofuji with the Takagari (8:57).
2. Isami Kodaka Vs Kosuke Sato ended in a Double Countout (8:57).
3. Keisuke Ishii defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Kneel Kick (9:08).
4. Yuko Miyamoto defeated Masato Kamino with the Moonsault Press (9:32).
5. Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, SAGAT & Yasu Urano when Nakatsu pinned SAGAT with a Back Roll Clutch Hold (19:39).

The thought processing between Ryota Nakatsu and Isami Kodaka could not be any more different going into their Union MAX Title match on 12th April. Kodaka is trying to think of new moves to use so he can beat Nakatsu and become champion again. Meanwhile Nakatsu is not going to think of anything and will just rely on his natural ability to retain the belt.

The match between Masato Kamino and Yuko Miyamoto might as well have been a tag match between Aijin Tag and Yankee Two Kenju. There was a ref bump so Miyamoto brought a plastic table into the ring to attack his opponent with. Takato Nakano ran in to stop him and together with Kamino started doing double team moves. Then Miyamoto was rescued by Kodaka so they could do the same. Kodaka wiped out Nakano with a Topé and Miyamoto pinned Kamino with the Moonsault Press although there was a delay with the pinfall from waiting for the replacement referee to show up.

Let’s see if iron sharpening iron is the right idea for Keisuke Ishii and Daiki Shimomura. They fought each other today to prepare themselves for an Iron Fist Tag Team Titles match on 12th April. Both were feeling sore afterwards but Ishii thinks the idea was a success. Maybe he’s just saying that because he won. They also realised they don’t have much time now to start learning double team moves. As for the champions, Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA are expecting the title match to be interesting. They don’t care about double teams as much because you only really need just one move to win.

Kodaka and Kosuke Sato were so focused on trying to out-wrestle each other they ended up getting themselves both counted out of the ring! Their match made its way outside and when Kodaka tried to get back in on time, Sato grabbed him in a Front Neck Lock on the ring apron and the ref finished counting to 20. Kodaka gave Sato his approval and encouraged him to challenge Ikuto Hidaka for the BJW Jr. Heavyweight Title at the Yokohama Budokan on 5th May. Sato promised that if he does win that championship he will come back to BASARA and nominate Kodaka as his challenger.

Later this year sees the return of the Chouten ~Itadaki~ tournament after it took a break in 2024. Kodaka said this year’s tournament will begin with the 1st Round on 30th April, the 2nd Round on 14th May and the Semi Finals plus Final on 23rd July. It will be a 16 man single elimination tournament and every match in Round 1 will have a 10 minute time limit with only 2 Count Pinfalls needed to win.

Minoru Fujita will be returning to wrestle in BASARA on 12th April.

3. 3 Way Tag Match: Kaji Tomato & Kota Sekifuda defeated Daichi Kazato & Tsutomu Oosugi and Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Sekifuda pinned Kazato after the Speedman (12:39).
4. Daiki Shimomura defeated FUMA with La Magistral Cradle (14:39).
5. Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto defeated SAGAT & Ryota Nakatsu when Kodaka pinned SAGAT With the Isamiashi Zan (19:54).

Today was a fresh start for Isami Kodaka. He appeared wearing a new costume as well as sporting a fresh hair dye job. However he hasn’t quite moved on from Sento Minzoku yet. After winning in the main event, Kodaka challenged Ryota Nakatsu for the Union MAX Title with the goal of becoming champion and then defending the belt against all other former members of the disbanded group! Nakatsu agreed to have the title match in Kodaka’s hometown of Yokohama on 12th April.

Daiki Shimomura feels like he’s done all that he can after he beat FUMA in a singles match today. With Keisuke Ishii by his side he thinks they can’t lose when they face FUMA & Ryuichi Sekine for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles on 12th April. All he can do until then is maybe think up of a tag team name.

The injured Takeru Inoue was put on trial accused of habitual gambling, referencing a recent news story about the comedian Takahira Kuruma getting in trouble for similar reasons. Both Gouma Ryu and Banana Senga pressured him with questions, asking him why he chose to train with HEAT-UP first before joining BASARA and insinuating that Inoue has never had a girlfriend. That last one caused Inoue to snap because he had four girlfriends in total when he was in high school. Inoue told the two to take wrestling seriously and ended up beating the both of them in a match to be declared Not Guilty.

Whenever Slamovich is booked by TJPW she usually hovers around the champions but here she is getting Watanabe in a big first time matchup. That means Watanabe is also off the table for being in any of the title matches.

3. Kuishinbo Kamen defeated Daichi Kazato with the Be Back Hold (10:52).
4. Ryuichi Sekine, Takumi Tsukamoto & FUMA defeated SAGAT, Lil’ Kraken & Akira Jo when FUMA pinned Kraken with the Heavy Metal Anthem (16:22).

When Ryota Nakatsu challenged Masato Kamino to a Union MAX Title match it was because he accused Kamino for lacking humility as a champion. He cared more about his muscles than he did for the belt. Perhaps he learned his lesson today because Nakatsu defeated him and became the new champion! The difference maker came when Nakatsu countered Kamino’s Lariat with a Jumping Armbar and turned it into what he calls the Super Figure 4 Arm Lock. Nakatsu reminded Kamino that he didn’t show enough love for the title or BASARA. However he was able to make it this far from his love of muscles alone so he can keep going that direction as long as he shows a little gratitude to the company every now and then. Kamino understood and shook Nakatsu’s hand. He also bowed to everyone before leaving ringside. Nakatsu then thanked Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura for being in his corner to represent Harimao today.

Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA were challenged by Daiki Shimomura & Keisuke Ishii for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. What links those two together is they are both from Saitama. Ishii wants a shot because he has never held that championship before. FUMA told Ishii he needs more justification than that to ask for a title match. However FUMA has never beaten Ishii before so he accepted the challenge.

The referee got annoyed at Daichi Kazato and Kuishinbo Kamen for joking around instead of having a wrestling match. Kazato’s response to that was “What’s a match?” He later missed a Firebird Splash and Kamen lightly pushed him over into the Be Back Hold for the pinfall victory.

The opening match was changed when Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi pulled out at the last minute due to love sickness. Judomaster replaced him and convinced Ayumu Honda to wrestle in a judo uniform like he does. But Yasu Urano hates having to fight people who wear those uniforms and unmasked Judomaster, forcing him to flee. Somehow Hiroshi returned from his sickness and rejoined the match in Judomaster’s place. His performance was still rusty and he ended up attacking Honda by accident, causing Honda to leave ringside in anger. Hiroshi then called for help and Judomaster returned but looking slightly different this time. However he took too long to get to the ring. By the time he climbed in, Hiroshi gave up to KUBITO’s Ankle Lock.

A ten bell salute was given at the start of the show for the recent passing of Osamu Nishimura.

BASARA “BASARA 271 ~HIEN~” Results

1. Isami Kodaka & Takato Nakano defeated Shuichiro Katsumura & Shota Kawakami when Kodaka submitted Kawakami with an STF (13:36).
2. Ayumu Honda defeated KUBITO with the Jumping Armbar (8:36).
3. Ayato Yoshida defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Revenge For Your Booing (13:13).
4. Ryota Nakatsu defeated Yuki Ishida with the V Slider (11:58).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA defeated Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) when Sekine submitted Abe with the Let’s Combine (17:57).
*Astronauts fail in V5. Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA become the 13th Iron Fist Tag Team Champions!

With Sento Minzoku now in the rear view, Ryuiche Sekine has found new success for himself by joining forces with FUMA to win the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles! The pair of wrestlers have bonded over both being farmers away from the wrestling ring as well as having similar backgrounds in karate. Fuminori Abe tried to break down Sekine with his submissions and limb work but found no help from his partner Takuya Nomura because FUMA had cut him off. FUMA took care of Nomura with an Exploder Suplex while Sekine wore down Abe with Low Roundhouse Kicks until he applied the Combine and Abe gave up.

Sekine thanked their opponents for the match and promised them he and FUMA will help grow the Iron Fist Tag Titles Astronauts had been nurturing so carefully. Sekine & FUMA then decided they will aim for 100 title defences together! Abe admitted defeat and compared Sekine’s Combine submission to Suwama’s Last Ride Power Bomb as the moves that hurt his back the worst. Nomura promised he will get stronger from tomorrow and will be back in BASARA soon.

Win, lose or draw Yuki Ishida was happy to wrestle Ryota Nakatsu in a match filled with the Harimao and Dosukoi spirit. The other members Kazusada Higuchi and Naomi Yoshimura were at the show too. Higuchi said he would like to wrestle in BASARA again after his return match in DDT happens. Nakatsu would like the whole unit to appear together in BASARA again.

Over the last few months Ayato Yoshida has been getting boos from fans over in 2AW. It carried over to BASARA today because the fans were booing him after every action he made in his match against Daiki Shimomura. Yoshida got the last laugh by winning the match with his Pump Kick finisher called the Revenge For Your Booing. He also called the fans drunks as he was leaving the ring.

Ayumu Honda also didn’t show good sportsmanship in his match with KUBITO. After Honda beat KUBITO with a Jumping Armbar, he held up KUBITO’s arm after the match only to jump him and attack the limb even more.

The champions right now are 121000000 but they have a title defence coming up in Chile next month. If Zatara & Sara Phoenix beat them on 9th February then it will be the Chile team who will be defending the belts at Ota Ward Gymnasium.

Both Aja Kong and Max The Impaler will be at the show along with Yuki Arai.

2. Takato Nakano & Lil’ Kraken defeated Yasu Urano & Banana Senga when Nakano pinned Urano with the Takagari (12:15).
3. Ryota Nakatsu & Masato Kamino defeated Daisuke Sekimoto & Kuma Arashi when Nakatsu pinned Arashi with a Jackknife Pin (19:06).
4. Inaugural Rumble: Ryuichi Sekine defeated Daichi Kazato by Ring Out (24:21).

Look at how fast time flies. Today is BASARA’s 9th anniversary of their launch and they celebrated by holding a Rumble match with nostalgic elements included. Daichi Kazato wore the costume he wrestled in nine years ago, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi showed up as Hiroshi Fukuda again in full USA gear plus a blonde wig, FUMA started acting like a heavy metal rocker again and Gouma Ryu kept getting eliminated over and over. Ryuichi Sekine was the last man standing and he told everyone how lucky he felt today. He also felt touched fighting with FUMA again and suggested they team up more often. In fact, the two of them should go challenge Astronauts for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles! FUMA was still feeling the heavy metal energy and accepted the offer. He started having second thoughts later backstage when he found out Sekine is a fake heavy metal fan but Sekine reminded him they still have a bond together because they are both farmers.

Masato Kamino wasn’t satisfied with his team winning today’s match. He and Ryota Nakatsu were able to beat Daisuke Sekimoto & Kuma Arashi but that’s only because Arashi missed Nakatsu with the Diving Senton and was then accidentally hit by a Lariat from Sekimoto. Nakatsu ended up pinning Arashi with a Jackknife Pin. Kamino had wanted himself to get a definitive win against either opponent and that didn’t happen.

The injured Takeru Inoue was in attendance to greet the fans at the start of the show and apologize for being unable to compete today. Isami Kodaka later pointed out Inoue must have only been 10 years old when BASARA was created. Kodaka also said he wants BASARA to be more fun for the wrestlers because if they’re not enjoying it, then the fans won’t either. Looking back Kodaka said BASARA struggled to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic so the company cannot take the future for granted.

BASARA “BASARA 266 ~SOUEN~” Results

BASARA “BASARA 266 ~SOUEN~”, 10/01/2025

1. SAGAT defeated Takeru Inoue with the Gore Grind (10:13).
2. FUMA defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Jawbreaker (12:37).
3. Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial: Minoru Fujita defeated Gouma Ryu and Banana Senga when Fujita pinned Ryu after a Double Kawazu-gake Otoshi (8:51).
4. 3 Way Tag Match – No Tag Rules: Daiki Shimomura & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated KUBITO & Daichi Kazato Yasu Urano & Judomaster when Shimomura pinned Kazato after a Standing Moonsault/Jackknife Pin Combo (10:04).
5. Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Lil’ Kraken defeated Isami Kodaka, Takumi Tsukamoto & Ryota Nakatsu when Kamino pinned Nakatsu with the Lariat (15:34).

After the main event Lil’ Kraken started a rap and was about to challenge Masato Kamino for the Union MAX Title. However Takato Nakano stopped Kraken with a Dropkick and decided to challenge Kamino instead! He sees Kamino currently has three indie championships (the other two are a TTT Indie Unified Six Man Tag Team Title and the Shinjuku Nichome ILNP Title) but the MAX Title is the only one he wants. Kamino said it will be a rare match where Aijin Tag fights each other. He will crush his partner because he is creating a new era and he’s not asking Nakano to follow him.

Backstage after the show Kamino said there are two wrestlers who beat him last year that he wants to get revenge on. So on 21st January he wants a match against Daisuke Sekimoto & Kuma Arashi! He’ll go through that match first and then have his title bout with Nakano on a later date.

Minoru Fujita is on a break from wrestling in BASARA but he was still called in for a Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial. Banana Senga spent more time trying to speak like Kenny Omega and also wishing Tsutomu Oosugi a happy birthday than talking about the trial. He eventually accused Fujita of fraud because BASARA was still paying him during his time off. Fujita easily defeated Senga and Gouma Ryu to convince the ref/judge he is not guilty.

After the trial Isami Kodaka announced that Sento Minzoku is splitting up! The unit is disbanding in order to let Ryuichi Sekine fight more often without them as well as to help Daiki Shimomura’s future development. He and Fujita came to the decision on the car ride home after Fujita lost the MAX Title. Their last match as a group will be on 10th February.

FUMA told Sekine after their match that he woke up today at 5am to work on his farm before coming over to Shin-Kiba 1st RING. He’s proud to be a pro wrestler and asks if Sekine feels the same? He wants the two of them as part-time farmers to continue working hard in BASARA.

After a hard fought Asian Double Titles match, Yuki Kamifuku took a liking to Lei Ying Lee and decided she wants to team up with her.

We have an international trio of Matcha, Ivy Steele & Kira Summer teaming together.

During the Princess Rumble Raku accidentally eliminated Aja Kong from the match by hugging her and then having everyone else pile on top of them. Kong will now be facing Raku in a 6-Woman Tag Match but Raku has the rest of Love Triangle looking out for her. Or they should be as long as they’re not scared of fighting Kong.

This is not the full card for the Ittenyon show. Tokyo Joshi Pro want to have either 9 or 10 matches in total so expect one more update to announce the remaining bouts.

To-y is excited to fight them but the last thing MAO wants to do is get involved with idol wrestlers again.

He challenged her to a match at Sanshiro Takagi’s 30th Anniversary Match and also decided to go back to his roots. He will be unmasked and wrestling as Muscle Sakai once more!
