1. Yuki Aino, Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Miyu Yamashita, Kaya Toribami & Toga when Aino pinned Toga with the Venus DDT (11:27).
2. 3 Way Match: Moka Miyamoto defeated HIMAWARI and Haru Kazashiro when Miyamoto submited Kazashiro with the Rashomon (7:50).
3. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 2: Suzume & Arisu Endo defeated Raku & Pom Harajuku when Suzume pinned Harajuku with the Ring A Bell (10:35).
4. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 2: Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara defeated Mizuki & Shino Suzuki when Uehara submitted Suzuki with the Sleeper Hold (12:11).
5. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 2: Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe defeated Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao when Tatsumi pinned Misao after the Daydream Eternity (20:31).

Before the Max Heart Tournament began Daydream was already considering the possibility of Miu Watanabe wrestling in two championship matches at “GRAND PRINCESS ’24” should they win the tournament. It’s starting to look realistic because Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi have made it to the semi-finals. Their win today ended the hopes Kyoraku Kyomei have of matching last year’s placement in the final. Tatsumi blocked a top rope Frankensteiner from Shoko Nakajima and held on so Watanabe could grab Nakajima and give her a Dragon Sleeper style Giant Swing. Daydream then used the Daydream Eternity on Hyper Misao to win the match. Tatsumi said the match was fought like it was the final. But they got their revenge for Kyoraku Kyomei eliminating them from last year’s tournament. Nakajima is disappointed because Kyoraku Kyomei still haven’t won a championship yet despite all they support they’ve had since the beginning of their team.

The duo meeting Daydream in the semi-finals will be Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara! They defeated Mizuki & Shino Suzuki, which means they got rid of one of the most decorated Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestlers in the tournament. It was Uehara who got the win by countering Suzuki’s Sleeper Hold with her own and not letting go. Uehara described her time in the ring with Suzuki as a bonus bout from the Next Generation Tournament so she felt like she was fighting in two tournaments at the same time. Arai thinks she is starting to understand Uehara more and vice versa. Mizuki consoled Suzuki backstage and said it is like looking at her old self. They can team up again and help make each other stronger.

Today RakuPom launched the debut voyage of the RakuPom Go. Raku & Pom Harajuku armed themselves with large foam noodles connected together with a rope and used them to trap Daisy Monkey in a single line so they could all move around the ring together like a train. Suzume was able to break out of the trap and tie everyone else together in the rope, Arisu Endo included. Daisy Monkey then regrouped and went ahead to win the match when Suzume gave Harajuku the Ring A Bell. Daisy Monkey will now meet Shinken Kusho in the other semi-final. They have a lot of fondness towards them and are happy to have a match together before Juria Nagano graduates. RakuPom were disappointed to lose despite creating their new express train. They agreed it is still in its experimental phase.

Nao Kakuta had a fever and could not be at the show. Haru Kazashiro was moved to the Moka Miyamoto Vs HIMAWARI match, making it a 3 Way bout.

The fate of who will win the DDT Extreme Title match will rest on the shoulders of Toy Kojima. The match rules is whenever Kazuki Hirata or Shunma Katsumata scores a 2 Count fall, submission, knockout or countout win then the “Kojima Challenge” will begin. Kojima will be given a task to do and if he succeeds then the match result will stand. If he fails then the match restarts. This will go on until Kojima passes a challenge. Both Kojima and Katsumata will get to come up with ideas for challenges and they must be purposely designed so that Kojima cannot tell who made them.

Rukiya moves up from the Match #1 to Match #2 as Yusuke Okada’s replacement. Yuni takes Rukiya’s spot in the opener.

2. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 1: Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara defeated Kaya Toribami & Haru Kazashiro when Arai submitted Kazashiro with the Sasori Gatame (8:32).
3. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 1: Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Nao Kakuta & HIMAWARI when Raku pinned HIMAWARI with the Doctor Yellow (8:04).
4. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 1: Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano defeated Miyu Yamashita & Toga when Nagano pinned Toga with the Hurricane Kick (13:34).
5. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 1: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao defeated Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu when Misao pinned Kiryu with La Magistral Cradle (15:21).

A message was sent loud and clear by Kyoraku Kyomei, they are determined to win this year’s Max Heart Tournament by any means necessary! Shoko Nakajima told the fans before the main event began that Hyper Misao’s voice was completely gone because of the sore throat she had last week. But it was just a trap to make the Toyo Mates lower their guard when the microphone was handed over to them and Misao’s voice was fine after all. Yuki Kamifuku fought back by giving Nakajima a Superplex and Mahiro Kiryu then got a nearfall on Misao with a Spinebuster/Big Boot combo. But during a scramble Nakajima hit Kiryu with the 619, leaving the coast clear for Misao to pin Kiryu with La Magistral Cradle. Kyoraku Kyomei will move on to face Daydream in Round 2 tomorrow. Nakajima declared that she and Misao will win the tournament and at some point later this year win the Princess Tag Team Titles!

There are a lot of new teams and fresh pairings entering the tournament this year mixing together veterans with rookies. The experiment has mixed results so far. Last year’s co-winner Miyu Yamashita is now already eliminated after her team with Toga lost to Shinken Kusho! Last year’s semi-finalists used the advantage of already having tag team experience to make the pairing of Yamashita & Toga crumble. Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano double teamed Yamashita to take her out of the picture and Nagano then got to pick Toga apart to win. The result sends Shinken Kusho straight through to the semi-finals due to the uneven number of teams entering the tournament. Nagano is determined to win it all with Miyamoto before she graduates from Tokyo Joshi Pro in April. Yamashita said she had fun teaming with Toga and would like to do it again.

It is a little odd to see Nao Kakuta enter a tag tournament so soon after deciding to focus on being a singles wrestler due to Hikari Noa’s sudden absence. Well it’s not something to give much more thought about now because Kakuta & HIMAWARI were eliminated by Raku & Pom Harajuku. Kakuta was taken out with a Double Cross-Arm Facecrusher and then Raku beat HIMAWARI with the Doctor Yellow. The team called RakuPom will now face Daisy Monkey tomorrow in Round 2. The winners of that match meet Shinken Kusho in the semi-finals.

One of the fresh pairings that did have a successful debut in today’s opening round was Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara. Together they were able to beat Kaya Toribami & Haru Kazashiro thanks to Arai submitting Kazashiro with the Scorpion Deathlock. Arai admitted she was nervous because she and Uehara had only teamed together once before but this result gave her confidence. They now have to fight Mizuki & Shino Suzuki on tomorrow’s show. Even though Kazashiro lost, she said she was happy to team up with her favorite bird.

1. Special Single Match: Riara Vs Kizuna Tanaka

Here comes Riara’s best chance so far at getting her first win. Kizuna Tanaka is a young wrestler from WAVE whose parents are Minoru Tanaka and Yumi Fukawa. She debuted around the same time Riara did last year so they should be seen on a similar level reputation wise. However in the time going from debut up to now Tanaka has wrestled in at least double the amount of matches that Riara has so she still has an experience advantage over her. Tanaka herself has yet to win a singles match too from what I could find about her.

The 4th “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament

January 10, 2024

It’s the return of Tokyo Joshi Pro’s annual tag team tournament. The lineup for the 4th “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament has been shaken up because some of the more established teams are no longer around, a few noticeable names are missing for different reasons* and some the main eventers have chosen to team up with rookies. Kyoraku Kyomei and Daydream are going to be the only two teams to have competed in every Max Heart Tournament by the time this year’s edition has finished.

*The Princess Tag Team Champions are not taking part so expect the tournament winners to challenge Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino for the belts down the line. Maki Itoh is taking time off to rest and recuperate. She probably would have missed it for her next tour in America anyway. Hikari Noa is… let’s stick with the official line that she’s currently unable to wrestle because of poor health. Haruna Neko is still injured with no timetable for a return yet. Runa Okubo has taken a few months off to study for her exams.

– Miyu Yamashita & Toga
– Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara
– Kyoraku Kyomei (Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao)
– Daydream (Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe)
– Mizuki & Shino Suzuki
– Toyo Mates (Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu)
– Nao Kakuta & HIMAWARI
– Raku & Pom Harajuku
– Daisy Monkey (Suzume & Arisu Endo)
– Shinken Kusho (Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano)

Juria Nagano Graduating From TJPW This April

January 9, 2024

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “JURIA NAGANO GRADUATION”, 13/04/2024
Tokyo Kitazawa Town Hall

It was announced today that Juria Nagano will be graduating from Tokyo Joshi Pro this April. She broke this news with Tetsuya Koda at a press conference earlier today. Nagano explained the reason for her graduation is so she can put more effort into her work in the entertainment industry while keeping her other career as a nurse. If she were to continue pro wrestling at this rate she would only be able to do it half-heartedly due to her busy schedule. She first considered making her decision when she broke a bone in her hand while wrestling last January and was unable to work for 6 months. There have been tough times when she wanted to give up wrestling sooner but she enjoyed being in the ring and thinks TJPW was a great environment for her.

Nagano’s graduation is going to be a complete exit from pro wrestling. She is calling it a graduation rather than a retirement because she’s seen other TJPW wrestlers “graduate” when they quit pro wrestling and TJPW is the only wrestling she knows. Her final match will be on 13th April. Until then she wants to keep fighting until she burns out. In her brief time as a wrestler she has not won a championship so her goal now is to win a title with her tag team partner Moka Miyamoto. For that reason Shinken Kusho will be entering the Max Heart Tournament beginning next month. She would also like to win a singles match, which she has not accomplished yet. Koda asked Nagano if she can still support TJPW after she graduates. She promised she will as a fan.

657 Fans – Super No Vacancy

1. Wakana Uehara defeated HIMAWARI with a Sleeper Hold (6:26).
2. Yuki Kamifuku, Nao Kakuta & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Raku, Haruna Neko & Kaya Toribami when Kamifuku pinned Toribami with the Famouser (11:32).
3. Arisu Endo defeated Moka Miyamoto with the Camel Clutch (9:27).
4. Yuki Arai defeated Pom Harajuku with the Finally (6:40).
5. Hikari Noa & Janai Kai defeated Rika Tatsumi & Yuki Aino when Kai pinned Aino with the Tornado Kick (12:30).
6. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki defeated Miu Watanabe & Suzume when Sakazaki pinned Suzume after the Toy Story 4 (12:58).
7. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Final: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao when Itoh submitted Nakajima with the Itoh Deluxe (25:35).

The result of this Max Heart Tournament final is historic for two reasons. First, Maki Itoh is now the first woman to win both the Max Heart Tournament and Tokyo Princess Cup. And second, Miyu Yamashita has finally won a tournament after almost ten years of trying! 121000000 had to fight their biggest challenge in the end, Kyoraku Kyomei. Before the match began Hyper Misao got on the microphone and said she is happy these were the two teams in the final. Of course it was to set up a sneak attack and 121000000 saw it coming. They blocked the ambush and took control of the opening minutes. Misao briefly had her mask fall off during the match but she ignored it to hit Yamashita’s leg against the ring post. She put the mask back on and continued targeting the leg. Itoh tagged in but her momentum was cut off by Shoko Nakajima. Kyoraku Kyomei kept trying to isolate Itoh until Yamashita came to the rescue leading to all four wrestlers being falling down on the canvas. 121000000 got up first and fired each other up by headbutting each other. Yamashita countered the Hypami Returns with the Skull Kick to get rid of Misao. Nakajima was then given a Flying DDT/Wheelbarrow German Suplex combo. Itoh followed up by locking in the Itoh Deluxe, making Nakajima tap out!

Nakajima gave Itoh a nod of respect after the match before being helped to the back by Misao. 121000000 were then presented with the trophies and gave out a victory speech. Itoh said after seeing the look on Nakajima’s face, she understands how she feels. It makes her want to do her best for Nakajima and everyone else in Tokyo Joshi Pro. That leads to their next challenge. It is now up to 121000000 to take the Princess Tag Team Titles from The Wasteland War Party and it’s going to happen at Ariake Coliseum on 18th March! Yamashita said it was frustrating that her team with Itoh wasn’t able to produce good results for this long because they are so great together. It’s fun to work with Itoh and fight with Itoh so they are perfect business partners. No matter how long Yamashita lives for, Itoh will always be her partner business or otherwise. They then tried to close out the show by saying “One To…” “…Million!” expecting the fans to chant along. It didn’t really catch on so they spent their post-match interview backstage workshopping it in front of the reporters. The professional media did not join in.

Fresh off of her American expedition, Yuka Sakazaki reunited with Mizuki and you wouldn’t tell there is any tension between them as we get closer towards “GRAND PRINCESS ’23”. They were just as happy to be teaming together as The Magical Sugar Rabbits as they always are. Their teamwork was on par and led to them beating Miu Watanabe & Suzume with the Toy Story 4. Backstage Mizuki said she watched Sakazaki’s matches in America and saw how different they are compared to over here. The deal meant Mizuki was able to wrestle a lot of singles matches too so she is preparing for their Princess Of Princess Title match on 18th March. Sakazaki said she can tell TJPW is even better than before because everyone cherishes each and every match they take part in. She also wants MagiRabi to be the next wrestlers collaborating with Idolmaster Cinderella Girls because they just beat the current girls involved with the marketing campaign. Speaking of that franchise, Watanabe & Suzume were hoping to get a lot of Idolmaster fans supporting them today because there was an Idolmaster concert going on next door in the Tokyo Dome.

Welcome to TJPW, Janai Kai! Not everyone gave Kai a happy hello in her first match with the promotion. Rika Tatsumi pretty quickly tried to strangle her. Kai did get along with her tag partner Hikari Noa. Tatsumi missed a Hip Attack and hit Yuki Aino by mistake. Noa & Kai did their trademark moves alongside each other and Kai pinned Aino with the Tornado Kick. Backstage Kai said she’s been studying Watanabe’s matches and is ready to fight her for the International Princess Title on 18th February. Tatsumi now thinks she is friends with Kai. Aino didn’t believe her because she doesn’t choke people she wants to be friends with. Tatsumi explained her attempt to strangle Kai was just a baptism ceremony in order to establish friendship.

Before Yuki Arai gets to fight Aja Kong in Ariake she had to deal with another dangerous monster today… Pom Harajuku! Arai’s opponent today came out dressed in SKE48 merchandise and looked like she wanted to enjoy a concert rather than wrestle. Harajuku asked Arai to perform SKE48’s new single instead of doing the match. Arai agreed when the audience began clapping along so she danced to the song until Harajuku rolled her up for a nearfall. Harajuku targeted Arai’s shins but her tactics didn’t work. Arai was able to hit her with the Finally and get the win. She has two matches with Kong coming up and wants to make sure Kong sees how good she has become.

It was a day of firsts across the board. Yamashita won her first tournament, Kai had her first match in Japan, SKE48 had their new song played in the Kanto region for the first time and Arisu Endo earned her first ever singles win! She was able to beat Moka Miyamoto by trapping her in the Camel Clutch and keeping the pressure up until Miyamoto submitted. She said it was a big deal she was able to get her first win by herself. She wants to get stronger and win more often. She also promised to send an update about her big achievement over to Reika Saiki when she gets the chance. She inherited the Camel Clutch from Saiki which is why she is always so determined to win with it.

If you forgot that Yuki Kamifuku is a dog person she made it clear by stomping on Haruna Neko a lot. Neko recovered after Mahiro Kiryu’s Apology Knee Drop to tag in Raku. Neko returned later to take out both Kiryu & Nao Kakuta with a Double Neckbreaker Drop. She was stopped with a Big Boot from Kamifuku who then went on to give Kaya Toribami a Brainbuster. She then won with the Famouser.

Wakana Uehara gets her first ever wrestling win too! She caught HIMAWARI in a Sleeper Hold and kept it on to drag her opponent down into submission. The result makes Uehara really happy because whenever she trains with her seniors she feels like she is not ready yet. Today’s result makes her want to work even harder so she can compete against more of the TJPW roster. HIMAWARI said this loss is more frustrating than the others but she will treat it as a lesson she has to learn. She will now go train her mind to become so strong she will never give up to a Sleeper Hold again!

There were several announcements throughout the show, many of them related to “GRAND PRINCESS ’23”. One of them is the return of NEO Biishiki-gun! The team of Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel will go against Yuki Kamifuku & Billie Starkz on the show.

Juria Nagano gave everyone an update on her finger injury. She fractured her left index finger during her most recent match on 29th January. There wasn’t a date given for her return but she promised the fans she is definitely coming back to the TJPW ring.

Watanabe & Suzume promoted their crossover merch with Idolmaster Cinderella Girls at the start of the show. They were then surprised with the unexpected appearance of Andreza Giant Panda! After the panda struggled to get into the ring it was then announced Andreza will be part of “GRAND PRINCESS ’23”.

Three trainees will make their pro wrestling debuts in March. Toga will have her first match in Shinjuku on 6th March. Haru and Momo will both make their debuts at “GRAND PRINCESS ’23”.

Last but not least a few new shows were added to the schedule, each of them being a homecoming show for a TJPW wrestler. Kamifuku is getting a show in Kanagawa on 27th May. Yamashita & Itoh are getting a show in Fukuoka on 25th June.
