Also absent from the show is the guest commentator. Shiori Aoki from SKE48 cannot attend the event because she was in close contact with a person who tested positive for Coronavirus.

Yuki Arai’s first match in Nagoya is a big enough deal to main event the show because Nagoya is the home of SKE48. She will team with her mentor Miyu Yamashita against Yuki Aino & Moka Miyamoto. Another SKE48 member Shiori Aoki will be on commentary for the match.

Maki Itoh suffered a fractured left cheekbone in her Tokyo Princess Cup Quarter Final match. It will take two to four weeks for it to heal but she will definitely wrestle on 14th August. She will miss this Saturday’s show though.

The semi final draw was held and the matchups are confirmed. Itoh is confident she will be fully healed in time to face Mizuki in the main event. Overcoming the pain is what makes Itoh stronger and this is the opponents she wants more than anyone else. Mizuki is aiming for the three-peat and has never lost to Itoh before. Winning this match will give her the confidence she needs to win the final 24 hours later. Miu Watanabe is now four years into her pro wrestling career and has fallen in love with it. She also revealed the idol she looks up to most is Mayu Watanabe from AKB48. Her opponent Shoko Nakajima reaches the final four once again but she isn’t taking it for granted. Tokyo Joshi Pro has grown so much over the years that it motivates her to be the best again.

Yuka Sakazaki has her first match back in Japan since coming home from the latest AEW tour.

A few other return appearances brings the Rika Tatsumi Vs NEO Biishiki-gun feud back to life. Yukio Saint Laurent and Antonio Honda get involved again. The only difference is instead of a zombie we get Pom Harajuku.

In a press conference today the participants of both title matches got to speak. The KO-D Tag Team Titles match will be Yusuke Okada’s first championship shot in DDT since he signed with the company. Jun Akiyama is looking forward to teaming with his student and trusts him enough to let him do his stuff. Shunma Katsumata is determined not to lose the titles in his first defence. He also wants to pin Akiyama again like he did at the Ultimate Tag League. His partner Konosuke Takeshita said he will focus on Akiyama because he can rely on Katsumata to win the match if it comes down to him. The match serves as a clash of different wrestling styles and philosophies. Takeshita says there is no correct answer for pro wrestling that applies to everybody. Akiyama disagrees because he thinks the Giant Baba style that he learned has all of the right answers. Baba’s way is the correct way and the proof is in Akiyama being the current KO-D Openweight Champion.

The Olympic atmosphere in Japan has inspired Shinya Aoki to defend the DDT Extreme Title against MAO in a Hardcore Judo match. Aoki and MAO aren’t sure themselves what the rules are in a Hardcore Judo match but they are excited to do it.

It is a match Yuna Manase originally wanted at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” but it never came to be. She wants a singles match against Saki Akai so much she crashed a DDT show to demand it. Akai doesn’t have any strong feelings about her opponent. She remembers the year she debuted people online were hoping the two of them would team together but other than that they are from completely different parts of the wrestling scene. Akai recently wrestled in Ganpro and felt everyone there has passion but it went away very quickly. If Manase’s fire is red then Akai’s fire is blue and that is much more hotter.

Every year the Beer Garden series is such good fun that you can’t blame some of the other promotions for joining in. Ganbare☆Pro held their Beer Garden-like show before DDT closed out the weekend. In the main event, a squad of Ganpro wrestlers fought against a group from the TTT promotion. This match continued the rivalry between the two groups spearheaded by Ken Ohka and Guts Ishijima. TTT got off to a strong start by eliminating Kouki Iwasaki and Yumehito Imanari back to back. The entrance of Shuichiro Katsumura quickly turned the tables when he tapped out Akiyori Takizawa and then knocked Masked Mystery out of the ring. The final part of the match saw Ohka & Katsumura beat Ishijima & TORU to give Ganpro the victory. However TTT went off to lick their wounds and gave the message that this inter-promotional feud is not over yet. Ohka is open to the idea of beating Ishijima as many times as he wants.

Yuna Manase defeated Yuna Mizumori in the P1 Climax (changed from BEST OF THE SUPER Pocchari) and received 10,000 yen as her prize. However when she was given the giant cheque she tore it in half and gave one piece over to Mizumori to share the prize. She welcomed Mizumori to Pocchari Joshi and Nikkan Lee also threw in her support for the group. At the end of the show Manase confronted Ohka and told him her idea to make Ganbare☆Joshi even bigger. She wants a singles match against Saki Akai! Ohka promised to meet with DDT management later in the night to put the match together.

2. Ganpro Mixed Tag Tournament Ranking Battle & LariPro Outpost Battle: Keisuke Ishii & HARUKAZE Vs Yumehito Imanari & Yuna Manase ended in a No Contest when Shota interfered (8:49).
3. Ganjo Special Single Match: Yuna Manase defeated HARUKAZE with the Suzuki Dynamic (12:39).

Yuna Manase and HARUKAZE used their match as a way to strengthen their bond together. They promised to use this bond to beat Yuu Yamagata the next time she returns to Ganbare☆Joshi. Manase says if she doesn’t give up then she can make her dream come true. But beating Yamagata isn’t her dream, it is her goal! HARUKAZE said she was nervous to wrestle her first singles match against Manase today because she prepared for a 3 Way with Moeka Haruhi also involved. She is disappointed with the result but still thinks it was a great time. She hopes Haruhi was watching the match from home. Manase had to tell her the show wasn’t airing live anywhere.

The LariPro match went off the rails when Shota broke in and gave everybody Stunners.

Supposed time travel shenanigans screwed up the opening match. Apparently Cherry was able to beat Shota with the Spring Night Love and she celebrated after the fact. But Shota and Daisuke Kiso both stood there in the ring telling her nothing happened and the match hadn’t started yet. Cherry broke down in despair and the show had to move to the next match.

Oishi Injury Update, Kohei Replaces Shuji, Akai Goes Ahead With DAMNATION Challenge

Makoto Oishi tweeted about his back injury he suffered during yesterday’s match. He is currently under examinations at a hospital in Shiroishi. He said he feels sore but doesn’t have any numbness in his back. Other than that he’s just waiting for updates at this point. DDT themselves haven’t said anything about it yet.

There are no actual stipulations preventing those wrestlers from visiting that place again but nobody can convince Endo otherwise. Akai isn’t afraid of the mighty task ahead of her. She sees Eruption and DAMNATION as the two strongest groups in DDT so the match must happen to see who is best!

Ganbare☆Joshi is something Yuna Manase wants to push more of. The next show wasn’t supposed to be happening for a while. There are only three matches but Manase, HARUKAZE and Moeka Haruhi will have a lot to do. They will be involved with non-wrestling activities inbetween the matches. Even Shota and Imanari will provide some similar entertainment with their SayamaSayama stand up routine.

Ever since Kuro-chan pinned Atsushi Onita in a Current Explosion Death Match last December, he has avoided all of Onita’s calls for a rematch. Sanshiro Takagi needed to find wrestlers for the “WRESTLE PETER PAN” pre-show explosion match and felt it is the perfect time and place for that rematch to happen. Kuro-chan himself doesn’t want to do it but his manager signed the agreement for him along with Super Sasadango Machine to do the match. Sasadango told Kuro-chan that Hikari Noa thinks he is cute and wants to team with him so he agreed to take part. The truth is Noa wants to fight in a deathmatch and will team with anybody to do so. She also threatened to blow up Takagi. Kuro-chan also gets Tetsuhiro Kuroda on his team. Onita’s partners will be Takagi, Akito & Maki Itoh. Everyone is also being warned that the amount of gunpowder being used for the explosions will be 3 to 5 times higher than usual.

2. 1st Ganpro Mixed Tag Tournament – Semi Final: Shuichiro Katsumura & Moeka Haruhi defeated Yumehito Imanari & Yuna Manase when Katsumura submitted Imanari with a Triangle Choke (11:38).
3. Jacket Match: Ken Ohka defeated Cherry by Disqualification when Cherry hung Ohka with a belt (7:56).
4. Hardcore 4 Way Match: Miss Mongol defeated Shota, Miyako Matsumoto and Itsuki Aoki when Mongol pinned Matsumoto with a Lariat (0:34).

After all the rumours going around backstage, the reward for winning the Mixed Tag Tournament is not a new championship or prize money. Instead, Shuichiro Katsumura & Moeka Haruhi will get a match on 11th July against an “super super special” tag team that will be revealed tomorrow. Katsumura said he wants THE HALFEE to wait for Shu Sakurai’s return from injury so all three of them can fight for a championship together again. He also said only 13% of fans thought they were going to win the tournament in a poll so the other 83% should buy their T-shirt as an apology. Haruhi said she is still proud to create history as the first Ganpro Mixed Tag Tournament winner. She wants to make more history and be seen on equal footing to the men.

As a result of their defeat, Keisuke Ishii & HARUKAZE will no longer team together. They did this before when they lost the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles with Kouki Iwasaki. HARUKAZE doesn’t want to break up the team because she finally got a tag partner. Ishii told her that today’s regrets will make her stronger and they will meet again some day.

Shinjiro Otani is quickly becoming a wanted man in Ganpro. He has both Shigehiro Irie and Kouki Iwasaki demanding singles matches against him. Irie wants it to be at the Fire Festival which caused Otani to give him the Fire Festival sword pose. When they Irie & Iwasaki left, Otani praised Nobuhiro Shimatani for a good performance. Otani later spoke good things about Ganpro for how exciting the card and the wrestlers were today. He is sure there are some people who are annoyed that he’s there but he is just as much appearing on these shows to improve himself as he is to improve his opponents.

The Hardcore 4 Way Match ended quickly when Miyako Matsumoto attacked everyone with a barbed wire bat until Miss Mongol knocked her down with a Lariat and pinned her. Matsumoto then successfully appealed for the match to restart. The second match was a lot more chaotic. Itsuki Aoki put Shota through a table. Matsumoto was wheeled into a stack of chairs. She was also thrown off the top of a ladder onto Ken Ohka outside the ring. Mongol got the win with the Lariat again but this time it was to Shota for the three count.

The Jacket Match took on a new meaning when Ohka entered the ring wearing a suit and tie. Cherry, who was dressed in her judo outfit got angry and turned the bout into even more of a grudge match. As the match got more heated, both Ohka and Cherry removed their jackets to reveal they were wearing tanktops underneath. Cherry then used her blue belt to choke Ohka and hang him over the ropes. The bell rang but it was then announced that Cherry was disqualified. Ohka asked if Cherry was angry because they lost in the 1st Round of the Mixed Tag Tournament. He explained that if Katsumura & Haruhi go on to win the tournament then that means Ohka & Cherry are 2nd place by default (I guess the logic is from losing to the eventual champions). Cherry believed him and agreed to support Katsumura & Haruhi.

Yumehito Imanari isn’t letting today’s semi-final loss get him down. His MMA namesake Masakazu Imanari also lost today at the RIZIN show. He believes both of them are making “Imanari” the new trend in mixed martial arts!

It looks like The Weekend Lovers are hitting a rough patch. Shinichiro Tominaga told Asuka that when the weekend is over you should look forward to the next weekend. Asuka glared at him and left without saying a word.

Yuna Manase stormed the ring after the match angry at the fact that there is not another Ganbare☆Joshi show until August. She begged Ohka to let her put together a Ganjo show next month. He promised her she can do it.

It took a lot of effort from Yuna Manase to convince Yuu Yamagata into coming back for another Ganbare☆Joshi show. She had to disguise herself as an UberEats driver just to see her in person again. So Manase & HARUKAZE could not waste their opportunity to prove Yamagata wrong today. In the early going, HARUKAZE was facing off with Yamagata with attempts to submit her only for Moeka Haruhi to break up the holds. Manase’s time to shine was in the latter half but Yamagata fought back. She avoided the Suzuki Dynamic and hit two Somatos before tagging out. Haruhi hesitated taking advantage of her friends but went ahead and pinned Manase with the Diving Foot Stomp.

After the match, Yamagata asked Manase where was all of the bravado she had when she pulled off the UberEats stunt at her home a few weeks ago? Yamagata spoke about how embarrassed she was having to explain to her neighbors what was going on. She told Manase never to annoy her like that ever again. HARUKAZE though is fine in her book. She’s not improving because she hangs out with Manase but if she ever decides to join Yamagata’s side, she will start to improve. That was all Yamagata wanted to say so she left the ring when she finished. Manase shouted to Yamagata over being embarrassed. She’s done a lot of things she is ashamed of but she still wants to win in the ring. Manase and Haruhi agreed they will never give up and they encouraged HARUKAZE to stick with Ganjo. Ken Ohka agreed and gave a speech about having to live no matter how hard things get. The Ganjo wrestlers lost today but they can win the next time and laugh about it.

Asuka and Ayame Sasamura are on good terms in and out of the ring so they were apologetic to each other whenever it looked like one hurt the other. Shota had no such problems with causing harm to Sasamura, fighting dirty to get the upper hand. Asuka missed a Spin Kick to Shiori Asahi, hitting her partner by mistake. She regained control by hitting Asahi with a Kneel Kick and instructed Shota to pin him. But Asahi Cradled Shota out of nowhere to steal the victory.

The match between Tanomusaku Toba and Miyako Matsumoto was going to consist of three five minute rounds with different rules every round. Round 1 was Kickboxing Rules. Matsumoto’s plan was to imitate Toba’s fighting style but Toba pummeled her until she was saved by the bell. Round 2 was MMA Rules so Miyamoto went for a takedown but Toba easily escaped her ground game. Matsumoto got a big moment by kicking Toba below the belt and went wild until the round ended. Round 3 was Pro Wrestling rules which evened the playing field a little bit. Matsumoto got nearfalls with the Miyako Clutch and Shining Wizard. Toba ended her momentum with a Straight Right then rushed into the corner with more punches until the referee called for the TKO.

The Ganbare☆Pro Offer Match went off the rails after the finish. Kouki Iwasaki skillfully pinned Yumehito Imanari but Imanari attacked him with a Lariat afterwards. Keisuke Ishii ran in hitting Imanari with a Knee Strike but Imanari rebounded with another Lariat. Then as he was leaving ringside he got into a fight with his own tag partner Shuichiro Katsumura.

Yuna Mizumori tried using an autographed photo of Ken Ohka as a foreign object against Sayaka Obihiro.
