Every year the Beer Garden series is such good fun that you can’t blame some of the other promotions for joining in. Ganbare☆Pro held their Beer Garden-like show before DDT closed out the weekend. In the main event, a squad of Ganpro wrestlers fought against a group from the TTT promotion. This match continued the rivalry between the two groups spearheaded by Ken Ohka and Guts Ishijima. TTT got off to a strong start by eliminating Kouki Iwasaki and Yumehito Imanari back to back. The entrance of Shuichiro Katsumura quickly turned the tables when he tapped out Akiyori Takizawa and then knocked Masked Mystery out of the ring. The final part of the match saw Ohka & Katsumura beat Ishijima & TORU to give Ganpro the victory. However TTT went off to lick their wounds and gave the message that this inter-promotional feud is not over yet. Ohka is open to the idea of beating Ishijima as many times as he wants.

Yuna Manase defeated Yuna Mizumori in the P1 Climax (changed from BEST OF THE SUPER Pocchari) and received 10,000 yen as her prize. However when she was given the giant cheque she tore it in half and gave one piece over to Mizumori to share the prize. She welcomed Mizumori to Pocchari Joshi and Nikkan Lee also threw in her support for the group. At the end of the show Manase confronted Ohka and told him her idea to make Ganbare☆Joshi even bigger. She wants a singles match against Saki Akai! Ohka promised to meet with DDT management later in the night to put the match together.

Takumi Tsukamoto is now a triple crown champion! He won the CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title from Kohei Kinoshita at a TTT show over the weekend, making him a champion in three promotions now. How a championship that vanished from the Canadian indies a few years ago ended up being revived in Japan, I have no idea.

The same TTT show saw Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari & Shota lose to Guts Ishijima & Speed Of Sounds in a GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. That was Ganbare☆Pro’s last chance to take the titles away from Ishijima again so that looks to be the end of that championship in Ganpro.

Mostly everybody who was eliminated in Round 1 will still be wrestling on the show. Shinjiro Otani will be competing too after Yumehito Imanari asked him to help Ganbare☆Pro grow to the next level.

Yesterday THE HALFEE defended the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles at a TTT show in Shinjuku FACE. They lost the title match to the combination of Guts Ishijima & Speed Of Sounds (together they are called Guts Of Sounds). To be fair the championships originally belonged to Ishijima back when Guts World was around so it is only fitting that he eventually got them back for his current promotion. He straight up claims the belts are his family heirlooms. However, Ken Ohka was in attendance to support THE HALFEE and he challenged the new champions for the belts next month. Ishijima accepted and later said he wants to seal the championship after he clears out Ohka’s team.

So for now Ganpro no longer has any championships they can use for title matches on their own shows. That might not last long because some of the wrestlers in the Ganpro Mixed Tag Tournament heard rumours of a brand new Mixed Tag Team Championship being rewarded to the winners. I mean it is about time that Ganpro has a championship to call its own. A Mixed Tag Title would clearly stand out on the indies scene over there.

THE HALFEE are now two time GWC 6-Man Tag Team Champions! For Shu Sakurai this was a very memorable moment for him. His debut match took place inside Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR and he is very happy to win back the title in the same building. Moehiko Harumisawa congratulated him for becoming a stronger wrestler. She said everybody in Ganbare☆Pro has strong character with a determination to survive. Their reward for that is winning the GWC 6-Man Tag Titles again. Katsuzaki Shunosuke said the belts originally came from Guts World. On 13th June, THE HALFEE will be wrestling for Guts World’s successor TTT (Total Triumph Team). They announced they will defend the titles against Guts Ishijima and Speed Of Sounds. Shunosuke promised that they will prove the belts belong to THE HALFEE and Ganpro!

The former champions are now trying to figure out what caused them to lose today. Hagane Shinno pointed towards a lack of teamwork between the three of them. He and Asuka both admitted they don’t like Shinichiro Tominaga very much which isn’t a good dynamic for a trio. Shinno then argued that point doesn’t make sense because Asuka & Tominaga are still teaming together for the upcoming Mixed Tag Tournament. Tominaga said that was Daisuke Kiso’s idea so it is all his fault.

Ken Ohka’s squad were victorious over Keisuke Ishii’s team in the Survival Tag Match. The match was 2 Vs 2 for the entire time until one team was whittled down to its final member. It begun with Ohka & Yumehito Imanari against Ishii & Shigehiro Irie. Over The Top Rope rules counted towards eliminations and Irie found that out the hard way. He charged towards Imanari, Imanari pulled the top rope down and Irie toppled out of the ring to be removed from the match. Kouki Iwasaki came in and Imanari didn’t last much longer. Ishii took him out with the Double Arm Driver to bring in Shota. Ohka then sacrificed himself to eliminate Ishii via Double Ring Out when he jumped off the apron while carrying Ishii over his shoulders. That brought in Yuna Mizumori (replacing an injured Yuna Manase) and HARUKAZE for the final fall. Mizumori avoided a Cross Armbreaker and pinned HARUKAZE with the Supergirl cradle for the victory. Mizumori wished for Manase to recover soon so they could team up again.

At the end of the show Ohka announced that he too would be at the TTT show. He & Imanari then promoted “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” on 6th June. Ohka said this is the era of Uber Eats and on 6th June you will see Uber Ganbare☆Pro!

For fuck sake Guts Ishijima, stick to one affiliation please! He formed TTT (Total Triumph Team) in December and the promotion held its first show on 25th January. That explains why the Real GUTS Army angle got a bit wonky for the last couple of shows with the enemy team constantly changing its name and intentions.

With THE HALFEE idea now put on the shelf, Shuichiro Tominaga & Moeka Haruhi are going back to their regular ring names. However Shuhei Washida has taken to the name Washi Sakurai and wants to stick with it.

When Shota went on tour in Australia last year he wrestled for a promotion called Pro Wrestling Power in Cairns, Queensland. One of the locals who caught his attention goes by the name of E10. He is coming over to Japan later this month for a tryout in Ganbare☆Wrestling. E10 is 178cm tall, weighs 77kg and his signature moves are the Side Effect and the Frog Splash.

A message was sent to the Tokyo Joshi Pro office by Thunder Rosa earlier today. She nominates Shoko Nakajima as the No. 1 Contender for the International Princess Title. The two previously faced each other for the Princess Of Princess Title back in May last year. Nakajima won the match and Rosa wants revenge. She thinks she has the upper hand because this time she is the champion and Nakajima is the challenger.

There’s another Australian heading over to Japan soon, this one for DDT. Melbourne high flyer Royce Chambers will be in DDT from 1st to 20th March. His acrobatic moves and matches from Melbourne Championship Wrestling have been getting attention online and impressed the likes of Konosuke Takeshita. DDT is bringing in Chambers on Takeshita’s recommendation. Chambers is 180cm tall, weighs 86kg and has only been wrestling for two years.

Yuni closes out the childhood portion of his wrestling life by facing his career rival Kazuki Hirata.
