So much of the wrestling world’s attention will be on Japan this 4th January. For Gake no Fuchi Joshi to get some of that attention, they will need to put on a world class event that everyone would be proud to watch. To do this, the show will air live on Youtube with English and Spanish commentary options included (Shota will do the English commentary).

Chris Brookes is a completely new kind of opponent for Miyako Matsumoto. A really tall foreign male wrestler is something that Matsumoto has never fought before. Also Brookes has watched her previous Gake no Fuchi matches so he knows what kind of wrestling to expect from her. No rules have been decided yet but both of them like the idea of playing a game where they beat up Daisuke Kiso.

Matsumoto would like to hold Gake no Fuchi Joshi abroad in places like America and Britain. It would be affordable to do because the company only consists of one person (her) and everything else like the venue and opponent could be set up by a local promotion.

HARUKAZE has become confident in her ground game so she went looking for an opponent that could fit that aspect. Yuu with her judo background is the perfect choice.

Moeka Haruhi, Miss Mongol and Keisuke Ishii will be on the show.

Akai had wrestled her once before in an exhibition match five years ago back when she was training to be a wrestler.

Shinya Aoki, Chris Brookes, Jiro Kuroshio and Hiroshi Yamato will all be on the show.

At last Sunday’s show in Osaka, Toru Owashi threw in a shirt like it was a towel to call off the main event when HARASHIMA would not submit to the Walls Of Takeshita. Yuki Ueno was originally in that spot but now he is teaming with Kazuki Hirata in the Gauntlet Tag match.

It looks like Keigo Nakamura wasn’t being honest about his weight gain. Last week he announced that he reached his goal of reaching 75kg. Naomi Yoshimura made Nakamura weigh himself again today and they found out he is now actually at 68kg! Somehow he is losing weight instead of gaining it. At least his match with Yoshimura is still going ahead.

HARASHIMA is not 100% physically fit after what happened on Sunday but he promises he is 100% mentally ready for this match and also Sumo Hall. Takeshita wants this to be a great match at a global level because it is significant for all of the DDT brands involved.

Daisuke Sasaki welcomes the idea of defending the KO-D Tag Team Titles at Sumo Hall in a Hardcore Match. That means he and the rest of DAMNATION can cheat to their heart’s content. The preview 4 Way at Korakuen Hall is also now a Hardcore match so we may get more examples of what they can do.

Masahiro Takanashi is impressed by how quickly Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura have bonded as a team. When he saw them challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles with HARASHIMA last week, he didn’t see DISASTER BOX but rather HARASHIMA with Nautilus by his side. They will become KO-D Tag Team Champions some day which is why Takanashi & Chris Brookes need to beat them now. Also Takanashi wants to win the Tag Titles so the world will recognise him as Brookes’ DDT partner instead of Maki Itoh.

1. Minoru Fujita & Daiki Shimomura defeated Daichi Kazato & Best Stretchman Amazon when Fujita pinned Kazato with the Tombstone Piledriver (9:29).
2. Fuminori Abe & Masato Kamino defeated Gouma Ryu & Banana Senga when Abe submitted Ryu with the Manjigatame (12:34).
3. Isami Kodaka defeated Jun Masaoka with the Modified Samson Clutch (11:07).
4. UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles – 3 Way 6-Man Tag Match: Takumi Tsukamoto, Yasu Urano & Takato Nakano (c) defeated FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Ryota Nakatsu, Naoki Tanizaki & Akiyori Takizawa when Tsukamoto pinned FUMA with a High Angle Backslide Pin (13:22).
*V1 for Takumi Tsukamoto, Yasu Urano & Takato Nakano.
5. Union MAX Title: Ryuichi Sekine (c) defeated SAGAT with the Let’s Combine (16:33).
*V2 for Ryuichi Sekine.

Ryuichi Sekine overcame a spirited effort from SAGAT to defend the Union MAX Title. Afterwards SAGAT called Sekine the people’s champion and the older brother to the rest of the BASARA locker room (that means Isami Kodaka is the dad). Sekine said he will next defend the belt at Sumo Hall this November for DDT “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019!” and it can be against anybody. His challenged was answered when DDT’s Masahiro Takanashi came out! He told Sekine he wants to fight a strong champion so let him fight for the MAX Title. Sekine accepted and said he will win for BASARA. Takanashi told him this isn’t about DDT or BASARA. He is only wrestling for himself in this match. Sekine said that’s great. If Takanashi will wrestle on his own then so will Sekine.

Takumi Tsukamoto was given a bouquet to celebrate his recent 10th anniversary in wrestling. It was presented to him by the woman who designed his new ring gear. The UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles match was held under Tornado Tag rules. Tsukamoto used a Gory Special to position FUMA into a Backslide Pin for the victory. FUMA didn’t realise he was pinned and continued fighting with Tsukamoto after the match. While this was going on the Sparky wrestlers grabbed the UWA 6-Man Tag Titles and left the ring with them. The champion team then chased after them.

Jun Masaoka has been asking for a match with Isami Kodaka for some time. Today he finally got it. Kodaka pinned Masaoka with a Modified Samson Clutch when Masaoka left his guard down. Kodaka gave Masaoka the middle finger but Masaoka still asked him for a rematch.

The IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT (IFTT for short) will be held on the 13th and 23rd of October. The giant trophy was brought out and Kodaka entered the ring carrying two new championship belts. He announced that this year’s IFTT winners will be crowned the first IRON FIST Tag Team Champions! He joked the belts got made just in time before Japan’s consumption tax increase.
