2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Isami Kodaka & Ryota Nakatsu

2. Hiroshi Fukuda Vs Daisuke Sekimoto
3. Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto Vs FUMA & Daichi Kazato

The big mystery I have about BASARA is what FUMA’s role will be. The leader of King Legion had until now been quiet about his participation with the new brand. He told Kodaka at “NEW YEAR LOTTERY SPECIAL! 2016” that he will not stay quiet when the show takes place and he intends to crush him.

Nakatsu is honored to face Ikuto Hidaka in the opener. It is the perfect match for him to wrestle his own way without any limits.

isami-rasengan

Isami Kodaka has scored back to back KO-D Openweight Title defences against the two KO-D Tag Team Champions. Konosuke Takeshita came close to winning but his German Suplex was countered into a match ending Rasengan roll through pin. Kodaka threw out a challenge for a Tag Title match with Ryota Nakatsu as his partner. Amon Tsurumi decided the match will take place in Yokohama on 16th January. Tsurumi then announced the next KO-D Title matches will take place on 31st January in Korakuen Hall and 21st March in Sumo Hall. The Sumo Hall challenger will be decided with a tournament ending on 28th February. Masa Takanashi was chosen as the No. 1 Contender for the 31/1 show. Takanashi was hesitant with the decision but Yukio Sakaguchi encouraged him to accept it. Takanashi admitted he might be going into a losing battle and could suffer an embarrasing defeat. But if he can win the title he will do it for Shuten-dōji!

takanashi-celebrates

There was a loud Takanashi chant when he pinned HARASHIMA with the Takatonic in the semi-main event.

kenzo-locks-takagi

The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles were put on the line in a Scramble Bunkhouse Locker Coffin Anywhere Death Match. The match could only be won if a wrestler was trapped for three seconds inside the locker provided. Kazuki Hirata was thrown in but he burst out of it wearing his HIRATA GO! glasses with the music provided. KENSO finally got his hands on Sanshiro Takagi and was able to lock him inside the locker to win the titles for #OhkaEmpire. Afterwards KENSO again demanded a singles match with Takagi. It was finally accepted and will take place in Korakuen Hall on 31st January.

sasaki-proposes-candice

Candice LeRae gained some new admirers after her debut match for DDT. As part of the World’s Cutest Tag Team with Joey Ryan they were successful against two-thirds of the Golden☆Storm Riders. Ryan got to show off the strength of his penis again while LeRae won the match with the Ball Plex. No one was more won over with her than Daisuke Sasaki. He spoke to Candice in English after the match, telling her “You are so really cute.” He then proposed to her. Candice reacted negatively so Sasaki reiterated that he meant they should team together in Osaka next week. Candice was happy with that idea and accepted the offer.

akai-lilico

Saki Akai & Cherry spent just as much time wrestling each other for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title than against their opponents during Match #3. Makoto Oishi capitalised by pressing down on Cherry when she tried to pin Akai with a Small Package. Oishi won the match but the pin counted against Cherry so there was no title change. Akai spoke on the microphone about her title defences but she was suddenly ambushed by LiLiCo with a steel chain! LiLiCo choked out Akai with the chain and pinned her to become the new champion!

shuji-kakizome

Every wrestler entering the Kakizome Rumble had a different special rule painted on their back by a calligrapher named Nachu. As part of a demonstration before the match she painted “Happy New Year” on Guanchulo’s chest. If a wrestler broke the rule painted on their back they were eliminated from the match. Since the wrestlers could not see their own paintings they had to figure it out based on how their opponents acted towards them. Kazusada Higuchi was eliminated for doing a Sumo Stomp, Tomomitsu Matsunaga was eliminated for doing his version of the RVD pose, Seiya Morohashi was eliminated for doing the “Strange Uncle” dance (the audience cheered him into doing an encore afterwards), Kouki Iwasaki was eliminated by a one count pin (and didn’t have his back painted for some reason), Gorgeous Matsuno was eliminated for climbing the top rope, Soma Takao was eliminated for speaking English (he complained to the ref after a nearfall by saying “Three” over and over), Yuko Miyamoto was eliminated for using a steel chair (the chair was planted behind him when he did a Suplex) and Antonio Honda was eliminated for giving a handshake (he kept doing Ric Flair style fake outs until he gave a proper handshake). The match was down to Hiroshi Fukuda (who was not allowed to say the words “You’re more beautiful than roses” yet sang parts of songs that contained those lyrics) and Shuji Ishikawa (who could not run the ropes). Ishikawa refused to do anything because he couldn’t figure out what rule he could not break. Fukuda charged Ishikawa but got hit with a Kneelift. When Ishikawa realised he wasn’t breaking any rules he gave Fukuda the Fire Thunder and pinned him to win the match.

Jun Kasai and Michael Nakazawa are confirmed to appear at DDT’s 19th Anniversary show in Sumo Hall on 21st March. Nakazawa is being brought in to do his infamous anal explosion opening ceremony. The Sumo Hall show will feature involvement from the entire DDT family of promotions and a special Dramatic Award ceremony is being planned to recognise DDT’s best over the last year.

The card for BASARA’s debut show on 21st January was revealed. The main event is Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto Vs FUMA & Daichi Kazato. Also on the show is Hiroshi Fukuda Vs Daisuke Sekimoto and Ryota Nakatsu Vs Ikuto Hidaka.

Keisuke Ishii is producing a show on 23rd January in Tokorozawa, Saitama. The main event will be Ishii & Shigehiro Irie Vs Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto for the All Asia Tag Team Titles. Ishii feels that his momentum was taken from him when he & Irie lost the belts back in 2014.

Hyper Misao & Saki Akamiya made an appearance to promote Tokyo Joshi Pro’s Korakuen debut on 4th January. Poison Sawada JULIE interrupted their message and used his snake magic to move them out of the ring.

DDT will return to Izuguranparu Park for an outdoor Elimination match on 3rd April.

The Bed Inn Girls will return for the YaroZ show at Shinkiba on 1st March.

newyearcrowd2015

The indie wrestling scene in Japan got together on New Year’s Eve as they always do to celebrate the end of 2015 with a big tag team tournament. While there were a few regular teams involved most were mixed between wrestlers from different organisations.

ueki-bedinn-takagi

The opening match was all about the Bed Inn Girls. They were brought in by Sanshiro Takagi & Takayuki Ueki to support them throughout the tournament and also provide some sleazy entertainment in the process. The Great Kojika wasn’t impressed and he called them old hags. Tetsuya Endo however became excited when they stripped down to their swimsuits. The distraction cost him the match when he missed the Sky Twister Press and Takagi then pinned him with La Magistral Cradle. When asked about the Bed Inn Girls, Kojika said there were more attractive women in the audience. Endo admitted he now learned what his weakness is.

newyeardance

The Brahman Brothers did what they could to stop Kazuki Hirata & Kaji Tomato from dancing because they hate their dance music. They broke the Hirata GO! glasses but replacements were quickly found. Karate Brahman interfered in the match wearing panties and fishnet stockings but he wound up dancing with Hirata & Tomato. The Brahmans then soaked their opponents with water and went on to win the match.

miyamoto-higuchi

The DDT site called Kazusada Higuchi & Yoshihisa Uto the Rookie Steroid Duo. HARASHIMA & Yuko Miyamoto were called Yankee Smile. Higuchi was strong enough to handle himself but Uto was overwhelmed and pinned after the Swivel Fire Thunder followed by the Somato. The rookies said they were frustrated by the loss. They would both like to face each other at some point in 2016.

robo-numazawa

Jaki Numazawa fainted after Match #4 ended in a Time Limit Draw forcing Antonio Honda to start overtime on his own. Numazawa returned as Robocop but could not make a difference. Honda fell to the Cactus Flower and they were eliminated. Honda explained the Robocop plan. Who would win a fight between Robocop and a pro wrestler? Robocop of course! Works in theory but not in practice.

danshoku-kobayashi

Danshoku Dino introduced himself & Yuji Okabayashi as a team of homos. Okabayashi kept denying the claims. When Dino gave Abdullah Kobayashi the Lip Lock it awakened Kobayashi’s Danshoku powers. They both applied the Lip Lock on Tank Nagai then encouraged Okabayashi to do the same. Okabayashi refused and knocked out both of them. Dino fell on top of Kobayashi so it counted as a pin. Nagai’s new wife Mio Shirai wasn’t happy to learn that his face was shoved up Dino’s backside. She’s not going to kiss him after that!

double-torture-rack

Hideyoshi Kamitani showed some fire by stepping up to Konosuke Takeshita and the two were scrambling for the pin in the dying seconds of the match. When overtime took place Kamitani kicked out of a Brianbuster from Takeshita but fell to the same move from Daisuke Sekimoto. The Deadlift German Suplex sealed the deal. Shigehiro Irie was left to rue being eliminated from the first round for the second year in a row.

taka-ito-sekine-kikuta

Match #7 was a sprint that lasted just over 4 minutes. It was the quickest match in Round 1. Kazumi Kikuta almost scored the victory with a Fisherman Suplex on Ryuichi Sekine while TAKA Michinoku had Ryuji Ito in the Just Face Lock. However the tables turned and Ito held TAKA back while Sekine put Kikuta away with the Ryusetsu.

isami-kicks-mashimo

The final match of Round 1 saw Isami Kodaka and Kengo Mashimo struggling to gel as a team. From the moment they entered the ring they were uneasy about teaming together. Some attempts at team work were blown when Kodaka accidentaly kicked Mashimo in the head. The only reason they were able to beat Yukio Sakaguchi & Kazuki Hashimoto was their intense desire to one-up each other and not be the person who took the loss. Sakaguchi took out Kodaka with a Right Knee but Mashimo got the fall on Hashimoto with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster. Mashimo & Kodaka scuffled with each other as they left ringside after the match.

brahman-bedinn

Round 2 began with a messy match between Takagi & Ueki against the Brahman Brothers. The Bed Inn Girls teased Karate Brahman with feathers, a strap and a banana. In his excitement he squeezed a bottle until mysterious liquid squirted out. The Brahmans put a stop to the lewd exhibition by spitting black ink in the faces of the Bed Inn Girls. Ueki became angry and pulled out his gun but he was then crotched onto the top rope and pinned with the Zombie King.

cactusflower-somato

HARASHIMA wore similar Yankee gear as Miyamoto for their second round match. Makoto Oishi had Miyamoto pinned with the Cactus Flower but HARASHIMA cut him off with the Somato. Miyamoto got the three count afterwards. After the match Oishi said he never saw HARASHIMA coming.

danshoku-okabayashi

Okabayashi was announced as “Not a homo” when he and Dino entered the ring to face Sekimoto & Takeshita. Dino kept encouraging Okabayashi to awaken his Danshoku side. Okabayashi got so angry he abandoned Dino and left the match. Later when Dino was overwhelmed by the 2-on-1 disadvantage “Thrill” suddenly played over the speakers. Out came Danshoku Okabayashi! He and Dino double teamed Sekimoto & Takeshita with stereo Danshoku Nightmares. Okabayashi then tried to give Sekimoto the Lip Lock but it was blocked. Sekimoto then gave Dino an Atomic Drop and Takeshita hit a Lariat followed by his own Deadlift German Suplex to advance to the next round. Okabayashi finally got Sekimoto with the Lip Lock after the match and chased him away from ringside.

isami-kicks-mashimo-again

The dodgy teamwork continued for Kodaka & Mashimo. Kodaka once again accidentaly kicked Mashimo in the head during a blown double team spot. Kodaka was able to save their tournament hopes by pinning Sekine with the European Clutch but after the match Mashimo gave his partner a German Suplex.

japan-indie-awards-2015

When Round 2 was completed Samurai! TV and Indie No Oshigoto presented the Japan Indie Awards 2015. The Newcomer Award went to Kazusada Higuchi from DDT, the Best Box Office Award went to Big Japan for their 20th July Sumo Hall show, Best Unit went to #OhkaEmpire and Best Bout was given to Sekimoto Vs Okabayashi from BJW 7/20. Finally the MVP Award was given to Okabayashi.

yankeesmile-brahmans

For the semi finals HARASHIMA & Miyamoto had another costume change. This time Miyamoto was dressed to look more like HARASHIMA. The Brahmans fought clean at the start but soon brought out their usual collection of foreign objects. However Yankee Smile were prepared and used some of the Brahmans’ own spots against them. They blinded the Brahmans with their own black ink and hit their finishers to advance to the final.

slingshot-german-suplex

The clock struck midnight during the second semi-final. Kodaka celebrated by immediately hitting a Tope Suicida. He and Mashimo were finally able to team together with few problems but it wasn’t enough to beat Sekimoto & Takeshita. In a big statement Takeshita pinned Kodaka just days away from their KO-D Openweight Title match. Mashimo was quick to part ways with Kodaka afterwards, only giving a “No comment” in their post-match interview.

takeshita-sekimoto

So the final in the early hours of the morning was HARASHIMA & Yuko Miyamoto Vs Daisuke Sekimoto & Konosuke Takeshita. HARASHIMA wished everyone a “Happy New Year” before hitting a Diving Kung Fu Kick. Takeshita showed his own strength by doing Sekimoto’s Double German Suplex on Sekimoto and HARASHIMA. Miyamoto almost snuck by with the win when he countered Sekimoto’s Deadlift German into a Cradle for a nearfall. But Sekimoto hit the German Suplex on the second attempt while Takeshita wiped out HARASHIMA with the Touchdown onto the apron to end the match. Sekimoto thanked the fans for staying with them throughout the night. Takeshita said it was a special feeling getting to team with Sekimoto. Miyamoto joined in when HARASHIMA did his “Because We Practice!” catchphrase. The show ended with everyone in the tournament getting together inside the ring for the group photo.

8. KO-D Openweight Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Tetsuya Endo with the Isamuashi Zan (21:59).
*V1 for Isami Kodaka.

Isami Kodaka put away the young Tetsuya Endo in his first KO-D Openweight Title defence. Endo went high risk when he tried to do the Torture Rack Bomb from the top rope but it was countered into a Frankensteiner. Endo somehow had some fight left in him after that but Kodaka kept up the pressure until Endo stayed down. There were no hard feelings between the two afterwards and both said it was a fun match. Kodaka welcomes another challenge from Endo in the future but he warns that he will crush him again. Konosuke Takeshita caught Kodaka’s attention and threw down the challenge for the next title match. After a discussion with Amon Tsurumi the challenge was accepted for 3rd January!

Akito is now the No. 1 Contender for the DDT Extreme Title. His submission style was too much for Antonio Honda to take and a clever Arm Trapped version of the Scorpion Deathlock made Honda submit. Akito will get his title match against Kendo Kashin on 23rd December. He is interested in Kendo’s idea to wrestle under modified amateur rules with three count pinfalls.

#OhkaEmpire learned the hard way that Batten X Burabura is not a good replacement for Ken Ohka. Everytime Kazuki Hirata put on the HIRATA GO! glasses and began dancing, Super Sasadango Machine would stop him with the Lehmann Shock. When the move was attempted for the third time Hirata countered it into his Miracle Cradle for the sudden win. Sasadango & Danshoku Dino demanded another title rematch. Amon Tsurumi told them Ohka was too busy to team with them and Burabura was too useless to deserve another chance. Suddenly KENSO walked out to again challenge Sanshiro Takagi to a match. Tsurumi instead decided to make KENSO team with #OhkaEmpire and go after the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Dino is pleased. KENSO isn’t.

Saki Akai opened the show to speak about how enthusiastic she is to defend her Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. But as she spoke Cherry snuck into the ring and gave her a School Boy to become the new champion. Akai was able to get the title back by winning the Battle Royal later in the show. Cherry snuck up to her again after the match but this time Akai fought her off. Akai thinks Cherry’s recent obsession over her and the title is an age thing.

Pop idol Maki Ito was embarrassed to be eliminated so quickly from the Battle Royal. She approached Makoto Oishi after the match and asked him to be her wrestling teacher. Oishi wasn’t interested but she pestered him until he said yes.

There has been some concern over Dai Suzuki’s lack of matches since he debuted in DNA last November. So it’s come of no surprise to see him as the new King Of Dark Champion. Amon Tsurumi is concerned because this means he may be forced to book less King Of Dark Title matches due to Suzuki’s limited schedule. Tsurumi even shouted advice and encouragement to Suzuki over the microphone during the match. He didn’t even care if Suzuki cheated by bringing in a chair. The plan backfired and Kouki Iwasaki won the match to get rid of the title. Tsurumi threw the belt at Suzuki in disgust afterwards.

5. Ryota Nakatsu DNA Graduation Match: Isami Kodaka defeated Ryota Nakatsu with the Isamuashi Zan (18:32).

DNA said goodbye to one of its brightest prospects as he moves on to a new destination. Ryota Nakatsu will be a part of Pro Wrestling BASARA when it begins running shows in January. His graduation match was against the man who picked him to join BASARA, the KO-D Openweight Champion Isami Kodaka. The champion got a taste of what Nakatsu can provide with German Suplexes, MMA kicks and Jumping Cross Armbreakers. However Isami came out the victor with the Isamuashi Zan running kick. Kodaka said wrestling in DNA was fun and addicting but now was the time to prepare for BASARA if they want to make it the best mad wrestling organisation in the world. Nakatsu said he formed good relationships in DNA including a friendly rivalry with Kazusada Higuchi. He shook hands with the other DNA wrestlers but his handshake with Higuchi was especially tight. Higuchi told BASARA to reach the top of BASARA so when he himself reaches the top of DDT they can have one more match!

Guanchulo was a little sneaky for his first match in DNA. He hugged Shunma Katsumata when the bell rang but then quickly gave him a School Boy for a nearfall. There was no bitterness though and the two hugged again after the match.

Dai Suzuki is now on a 3 match losing streak in contests against his brother Tigger Bedscene but at least he’s making people laugh. Daichi Kazato isn’t laughing though. Kazato thinks Suzuki isn’t pulling his weight and challenges him to a match for the next DNA show in January.

One half of the previous champions Daisuke Sasaki has been excluded from the tournament because his current partner Suguru Miyatake has not been good enough to earn a spot.

Rekka is from New Taiwan Entertainment Wrestling Federation. He joins a special team made up of a Japanese, an American and a Taiwanese. Konosuke Takeshita is the Japanese wrestler and Hiroshi Fukuda is the American.

4. KO-D Openweight Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo

Tetusya Endo feels that his non-title victory over Isami Kodaka on yesterday’s BOYZ show is proof that he deserves his title shot and did not just get it because of a fluke Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament.

Both Antonio Honda and Akito are claiming the No. 1 Contendership for the DDT Extreme Title. The championship is very important to Akito and hates how Kendo Kashin treated the belt when he won it. Honda wants another shot at Kashin and his unusual match stipulations.

Yusuke Kubo has been added to the show.

Doctors was the theme of the show. Everyone wore a long white coat and glasses during the opening speeches. The show ended with a photo shoot and dance number. The 769 fans in attendence were all women.

The main event was a preview of next month’s KO-D Openweight Title match. In an upset, the new champion Isami Kodaka was pinned by Tetsuya Endo. Kodaka was in control for most of the match but Endo ducked the Isamuashi Zan and rolled him over for the surprise three count. Even though the title was not at stake, Endo was more than happy with the win.

Mao Inoue missed the show after he injured his jaw at “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2015” the day before. He was supposed to be part of the BOYZ team for their 8-Man Tag match against YaroZ. To make the match even Shigehiro Irie was removed and it became a 6-Man Tag instead. Kazusada Higuchi was turned into a Super Ikemen to mock the BOYZ concept. BOYZ came out the victor but the YaroZ team promised they would return on 1st March.

osaka-octopus-2015

The attendance for this show is pretty disappointing given as it was DDT’s first time in the main Osaka Edion Arena and their 3rd biggest show of the year. Until now they only booked the building’s #2 Gym. However Sanshiro Takagi said DDT will book the arena again next year. He wants to boost their following in Osaka and the Kansai region to be on the same level as Tokyo.

kodaka-sakaguchi

In one last tribute to Union Pro Wrestling, its ace is now the champion of DDT! Isami Kodaka outfought Yukio Sakaguchi in the main event to win the KO-D Openweight Championship. Kodaka was introduced as a Union wrestler while Sakaguchi entered the arena accompanied by the rest of Shuten-dōji including the injured KUDO. Sakaguchi went for a Triangle Choke early but Kodaka countered it into a Power Bomb. Sakaguchi came back with numerous kicks but Kodaka urged him to keep them coming. Eventually Kodaka goaded Sakaguchi into an Octopus Hold. It wasn’t enough and soon Kodaka was given several Knee Strikes including one to the back after Kodaka missed his Isamuashi Zan finisher. Sakaguchi went for the Right Knee Of God but this time Kodaka hit the Isamuashi Zan to counter it. Another Right Knee Of God found its target but wasn’t enough. Kodaka was able to hit one more Isamuashi Zan and got the three count. When Kodaka was given the belt he told Sakaguchi he was open for one more match. In his victory speech he talked about seeing DDT when he was 20 years old but he did not know how to join their school so he went to K-DOJO when he found out they were taking applications. He brought up the upcoming launch of Pro Wrestling BASARA and then called out his first challenger Tetsuya Endo. He challenged him to a quick Rock-Paper-Scissors game but lost. Endo said that game is what got him the title shot but he is now flowing with ability. His chest is filled with pride for DDT so he must win the title for them.

harashima-takeshita

The atmosphere was tense inside the ring when HARASHIMA and Konosuke Takeshita fought. It took two attempts of the Swan Dive Somato for HARASHIMA to win. Takeshita threw everything he could at him but it was no good. Takeshita was depressed afterwards, only saying “…Useless. No good. No good” in the post-match interview. Ken Ohka crashed HARASHIMA’s interview to ask if they could enter next month’s tournament for the vacant KO-D Tag Team Titles. Ohka told him the team that beat New Japan and Hiroshi Tanahashi should strike while the iron is hot. HARASHIMA accepted when Ohka told him how much the fans want to see it.

okabayashi-irie

In the Battle Of The Big Lads Shigehiro Irie fell to the Big Japan Golem Yuji Okabayashi. There were Lariats and Headbutts aplenty but Okabayashi came out on top with the Golem Splash. He appealed for another match afterwards saying that they are in sync with each other and he would fight him any number of times. He also teased the idea of them teaming up and entering the upcoming KO-D Tag Team Titles tournament. Irie likes the idea but wants to know what his friends Keisuke Ishii and Soma Takao want to do before he makes the decision.

dino-curry

The Brahman Brothers attacked Saki Akai with an octopus before their entrance for Match #6. Late in the match they put a plate of curry onto a chair in the middle of the ring. The plan backfired when Hiroshi Fukuda gave Danshoku Dino an Atomic Drop onto the chair. Dino’s backside landed on the curry. Brahman Shu was able to pin Fukuda but Dino didn’t feel like a winner after that. Akai got her revenge on the Brahmans when she attacked them with the octopus backstage at the end of the show.

kashin-honda

Kendo Kashin had an odd array of temporary body tattoos including the 2020 Tokyo Olympics logo and a picture of Antonio Honda’s actor brother Eiichiro Honda. UWF Rules were in place with pinfalls and countouts included. When Honda was about to do the Diving Fist Drop, Kashin grabbed Yukinori Matsui by the legs and used the distraction to do an Avalanche Cross Armbreaker. Kashin lock Honda in an Inside Cradle and that was enough for the title change. Kashin stomped on the DDT Extreme Title belt after the match causing an angry Akito to confront him in the ring. Kashin offered Akito the belt but then kicked him in the stomach. The new champ is already thinking up rules for his first defence. Maybe amateur wrestling but with three count pinfalls?

hardcore6way-octopus

Each participant in the Hardcore 6 Way match brought a weapon with them to the ring. Among them Sanshiro Takagi brought along an electric fan and the Combat Bicycle, Daisuke Sasaki brought down an unwilling Suguru Miyatake and Yuko Miyamoto carried a locker into the ring. Takagi stuck Kazusada Higuchi’s hand into the fan, he also stuck KENSO into the locker and Dropkicked it. Higuchi got revenge on Takagi by Choke Slamming him onto the locker with KENSO still in it. Sasaki hit Higuchi with trash can lids until he fell on top of a table. Sasaki then climbed a giant ladder and hit the Diving Elbow Drop through the table to get the win.

sakiakai-ironman

An unmasked Kikutaro disguised himself as a TV reporter to ambush Cherry before the Battle Royal. As he interviewed her about the match Kikutaro lifted up a metal basin and dropped it over her head. She was stunned long enough to be pinned, marking the first of many Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes throughout the match. In the ring Kikutaro tried to get his hands on Saki Akai but Yukinori Matsui came to the rescue and gave him a German Suplex. Shunma Katsumata capitalised and pinned Kikutaro to eliminate him and become the champion. Kikutaro was later found in the locker room knocked out and naked. Kazuki Hirata then entered the match wearing Kikutaro’s clothes. Gota Ihashi’s tights became a two time champion and Cherry won back the title but in the end Saki Akai came out victorious. After almost a year of trying to win and keep the belt, Akai pinned Cherry to win the match and become champion. She spoke about getting to compete in the same arena her father did when he was a boxer and getting to do something he couldn’t, win a championship.

watase-hurricanemixer

In an act of psychological warfare, Super Sasadango Machine wanted to divide RG & Ryota Yamazato. Literally. He did this by wearing Buffaloman horns and then charging them so he could do the Hurricane Mixer. They both dodged it but unfortunately for their fellow comedian wrestler Mizuki Watase, he was hit. The move smashed Watase into six different pieces and it was up to the comedians to put Watase back together in less than ten minutes to revive him. They succeeded but Watase was furious to be left in harm’s way. He attacked his friends but they fought him off. Everybody calmed down and made up afterwards by singing songs.

akito-hanamasa

Akito debuted his new finisher called the Hanamasa. It is the same move as YAMATO’s Gallaria. Mao Inoue injured his jaw during the opening match.

dark-octopus

Right before the pre-show began Tomomitsu Matsunaga told Kouki Iwasaki to focus on Dai Suzuki if he wanted to get rid of the King Of Dark Title. Matsunaga was proven right that Suzuki was the weakest in the match when he pinned him. However since Iwasaki was not involved in the result he is still the “Misfortune Champion”.

KUDO appeared at the beginning of the show to announce he is going into surgery to repair his right ACL on 2nd December. He aims to come back next summer.

Joey Ryan will be back in January and he’s bringing a friend with him. DDT’s going to get a whole lot cuter because Candice LeRae will make her DDT debut on the 3/1 Korakuen Hall show! She will also be at the 10th and 11th January shows in Osaka.

BOYZ will hold its first show in Osaka on 6th March, 2016.

*Cherry becomes the 1,043rd champion.

Isami Kodaka and SAGAT rubbed in their victory by having a toast while Yukio Sakaguchi was leaving ringside. Sakaguchi flipped out and charged the ring, forcing the BASARA wrestlers to flee the ring. SAGAT tried to ambush Sakaguchi but Sakaguchi fought him off. Isami told SAGAT that was a strategic mistake.

Future KO-D Openweight Title challenger Tetsuya Endo was pinned by Keisuke Ishii in Match #5. In the post-match interview Endo considered challening Ishii to a single match. He feels he should not be entitled to the title shot if he is losing matches. Ishii admitted he was bitter over Endo getting the title shot when he finished higher in the Dramatic General Election. He didn’t deserve to lose in the 1st Round of the Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament while Endo won the entire thing.

After spending most of the year in one woman’s possession, the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title was back with a vengeance going through 19 title changes throughout the show. Poor Saki Akai was the only wrestler in the actual match who could not win the title. Everytime she prepared to hit a big move on the champion somebody else would sneak up to the champion and pin them to win the belt.

KENSO successfully got rid of the King Of Dark Title, passing it on to Kouki Iwasaki by pinning him in the 3 Way Dark Match. Afterwards KENSO said he had a gift for everyone, a singles match with Sanshiro Takagi to take place right here in Saitama! Amon Tsurumi came out and said he didn’t like that idea so it won’t happen. He then summoned the young DDT wrestlers to come out and drag KENSO away from ringside. They threw KENSO into a restroom and locked the door. KENSO eventually escaped and returned to the ring after Match #4. He succesfully convinced Tsurumi to add him into the Hardcore 5 Way match on the 28/11 Osaka show, turning it into a 6 Way.

7. Owari Nagoya Specialty Special 4 Way Match: Daisuke Sasaki defeated HARASHIMA, Shigehiro Irie and Kazusada Higuchi when Sasaki submitted Higuchi with La Mistica Cross Face Lock (17:11).

A 4 Way main event saw Daisuke Sasaki come out as the victor. After a week of bad news that saw Sasaki stripped of the KO-D Tag Team Title because of Kota Ibushi’s injury, the time is now for Sasaki to make his own opportunities. He did so by submitting Kazusada Higuchi for the first time in the DNA wrestler’s career. Sasaki said after the match that DDT feels a little lonely now with Ibushi and KUDO both going through a slow recovery process. But he (and Suguru Miyatake) can persevere without them.

Yukio Sakaguchi is growing frustrated over losing to Isami Kodaka in the build up to their title match. Kodaka has been intentionaly doing the Diving Double Knee Drop in their matches to remind Sakaguchi of KUDO. Meanwhile Ryota Nakatsu is very happy with being on Kodaka’s team and hopes they continue wrestling together.

Over the last few days Keisuke Ishii has taken some time to reflect about the generation of DDT wrestlers he is apart of. He lost to Daisuke Sasaki on Monday but scored a win over Akito on this show. Ishii’s goal now is to be the best wrestler of this generation and he cherishes facing the competition ahead of him.

T2Hide challenged #OhkaEmpire to a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title match after the champions defeated Happy Motels. Sanshiro Takagi said T2Hide’s track record is proof that they deserve the shot. That track record is Takagi getting rid of the King Of Dark Title and Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata winning the 3 Way Tag Match earlier in the show. Ken Ohka accepted the challenge and it will be held at the 22nd November Hiroshima show.

A power failure interrupted the King Of Dark Title match. When the lights came back on Ultraman Robin was suddenly standing in front of KENSO. Robin charged up, pointed at KENSO and yelled “Destiny!” Sanshiro Takagi then threw a powdery substance known as the Elixir Of Egypt at KENSO, blinding him. Takagi rolled over KENSO for the three count, meaning KENSO is now the King Of Dark Champion! After the match KENSO said he was in a unit called the Dark Kingdom but now he really is in the Dark Kingdom. KENSO challenged Takagi to a rematch but was shot down and slapped across the face. He was told to go to Kasukabe on 8th November for his first title defence. KENSO swore backstage that he will get his rematch with Takagi and force the belt back to him.
