Spring/Summer Eleven: Mizuki, Miyu Yamashita, Moka Miyamoto, Nao Kakuta, Pom Harajuku, Arisu Endo, Marika Kobashi, Nodoka Tenma, Mahiro Kiryu, Shoko Nakajima & Maki Itoh

Autumn/Winter Eleven: Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe, Yuki Aino, Suzume, Mirai Maiumi, Raku, Haruna Neko, Yuka Sakazaki, Hyper Misao, Hikari Noa & Yuki Kamifuku

Those born in the months of March to August went into war against the ones born between September and February. This was taken seriously with the Spring/Summer Eleven bragging about plants and hot weather while the Autumn/Winter Eleven wore costumes celebrating Hallowe’en and Christmas. Sayuri Namba played both sides, claiming to support the summer because her ring announcing career began in May then cheering for winter because she was born in October. The show was briefly delayed due to internet trouble so Shota & Tetsuya Koda kept themselves busy at the commentary table.

Spring/Summer captain Shoko Nakajima won the first match on the show, beating Miu Watanabe. Even with 2 Count Pins in effect, her victory was certain once she did the Northern Lights Suplex.

It’s been so long. Was this Haruna Neko’s first singles win in over two years? A Jumping Cat Breaker to Moka Miyamoto set her up for the Nekocanrana to get the pin and tie the score one a piece.

Marika Kobashi hasn’t lost a match since she turned 20 years old this month. She continued the winning streak by catching Suzume in the Front Neck Lock and making her tap out. Kobashi said she is keeping this momentum for her upcoming International Princess Title shot.

Hyper Misao was confident she would win her match against Arisu Endo because of the 2 Count Rules. She almost lost when Endo grabbed her cloak to choke her over the ropes and drag her into the ring for a Knee Drop. With time running out, Endo attempted a Camel Clutch but Misao slipped out and pinner her with a Gedo Clutch.

Every match on the show had a 7 minute time limit. Nao Kakuta Vs Mirai Maiumi was the first bout to run out of time and end in a draw so it restarted under 1 Count Sudden Death Rules. Kakuta went in for the kill but Maiumi cut her down with a Short Range Lariat to get the win. The result of this match put the Autumn/Winter team in the lead for the first time.

The next match ended in a Time Limit Draw too but for completely unexpected reasons. Mizuki and Yuki Kamifuku fought their way over to the venue bar where vials of liquor were left on the counter. Kamifuku tried to force Mizuki to drink the alcohol but Mizuki turned the tables and made Kamifuku drink it. The two went back into the ring where Mizuki tricked Kamifuku to drink more as a toast but she was still able to kick out of pins until the time ran out. Mizuki offered her opponent another drink at the restart immediately pinned her with an Inside Cradle.

At the halfway point the score was tied 3-3. Yuka Sakazaki put the Autumn/Winter team ahead by taking out Mahiro Kiryu. They went back and forth with Kiryu hitting the Spinebuster. But in the end Sakazaki hit back with Elbow Strikes and won with the Magical Merry-Go-Round.

The big upset of the show happened when Pom Harajuku defeated the Autumn/Winter team captain Rika Tatsumi! At first the time expired right when Tatsumi was about to hit the Twist Of Fate. Then in the restart, Harajuku dodged a Hip Attack and Tatsumi hit Daisuke Kiso by mistake. Tatsumi got the better of Harajuku afterwards but there was nobody around to count the pin. Tatsumi revived the ref but Harajuku rolled her into the Cradle to get the 1 Count pin. Tatsumi took her frustration out on Misao at ringside while Harajuku celebrated.

Hikari Noa threatened to roll Nodoka Tenma around the ring because she is so round. She focused on using different pin holds to keep Tenma down. The plan ultimately worked once Noa applied the Last Supper and Tenma couldn’t kick out.

Raku had the toughest opponent out of everyone. She knew she couldn’t beat Miyu Yamashita through strength so her plan was to use psychological warfare. By using the Good Night Express and a Sleeper Hold, Raku tricked Yamashita into falling asleep. However, Yamashita’s hand fell on top of Raku as they both laid on the mat so the referee saw it as a pin. The loud slap of the ref’s hand on the canvas woke Yamashita up and she gave Raku the Attitude Adjustment out of instinct before pinning her properly.

The score was tied 5-5 going into the main event so the final match was the decider. No winner could be determined between Maki Itoh and Yuki Aino in regulation time. The clock ran out right when Aino attempted to Side Suplex Itoh out of the ring too so at least a potential injury was avoided. In overtime, Itoh fought to put Aino in the Itoh Special. There was so much focus on the struggle that Itoh found an opening to use a Jackknife Pin to get the 1 Count out of nowhere. That result won the series for the Spring/Summer Eleven!

Team captain Nakajima was given the prize vouchers from Tetsuya Koda at the end of the show. She told everyone she still had unused lunch tickets from the last PPV show. They were given to the other team but there wasn’t enough for all of them. They all agreed to give the spare tickets to the wrestlers who won their matches.

2. Nao Kakuta defeated Arisu Endo with the Shiden Kai (8:30).
3. Marika Kobashi defeated Moka Miyamoto with the Front Neck Lock (6:05).
4. Yuki Kamifuku defeated Raku with the Famouser (7:54).
5. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Yuka Sakazaki & Pom Harajuku when Yamashita pinned Harajuku with the Skull Kick (11:44).

Unless they cross paths at “TJPW PPV SHOW 4” next week, today was the last preview of Miyu Yamashita Vs Yuka Sakazaki before the “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021”. Here, Maki Itoh did her job to cut off Sakazaki so Yamashita could get the pin on Pom Harajuku. After the match Itoh told the fans that Tokyo Joshi Pro will stand out more against DDT, NOAH and Ganbare☆Pro at Saitama Super Arena.

Raku spent the beginning of her match hiding from Yuki Kamifuku, sneaking under the ring and behind the referee to keep out of her opponent’s sight. Kamifuku later used her own version of the Good Night Express to get her own back on Raku.

It was announced that the next “TJPW INSPIRATION” event on 1st July will be headlined by Miyu Yamashita Vs Mirai Maiumi in a UWF Rules match.

4. Hikari Noa defeated Moka Miyamoto with the Blizzard Suplex (6:16).
5. Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino defeated Miu Watanabe & Suzume when Aino pinned Suzume with the Venus DDT (14:33).

The night time show concluded with Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino beating Miu Watanabe & Suzume then thanking the fans for attending. They were amazed to see many in the audience attended both shows today. They repeated the earlier point that TJPW will be second to none at Saitama Super Arena!

Sayuri Namba had to explain the special rules for Hyper Misao Vs Nodoka Tenma. They took part in three matches. The first match had Two Count Fall rules. When somebody won with a Two Count they then had to play charades with Daisuke Kiso. If Kiso guessed their gesture correctly then the woman wins the match. Misao tried to do “Pudding” but Kiso guessed wrong. Tenma had to do “Octopus” but Kiso got it right, so Tenma got the point. The second game had the same Two Count Fall but then the winner had to correctly answer a question about TJPW. Tenma was asked where did Rika Tatsumi’s debut match take place? She knew it was in Shibuya but couldn’t remember the name of the building. Misao then got a pin and correctly answered Shibuya Entertainment Stage to even the score. The final fall had both women drink a glass of vinegar then wrestle under 1 Count Rules. Misao won the round and the match with La Magistral Cradle.

Shoko Nakajima and Rika Tatsumi were revealed as the captains for the two teams competing in “TJPW PPV SHOW 4” next week. Nakajima doesn’t understand how the Summer Vs Winter theme is any different from the Red Vs White concept from the previous PPV. Tatsumi is upset that Mizuki is not on her team.

Eruption Near The Finish Line

May 20, 2021

I have a very busy weekend coming up in real life so there will be a delay in posting results and reports for a few days.

5. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh Vs Yuka Sakazaki & Pom Harajuku

A doubleheader in Tokyo Joshi Pro sees the roster split in two for separate shows. Miyu Yamashita gets to sort out two things at once. She fights Yuka Sakazaki in a preview of Saitama Super Arena and also prepares for the Princess Tag Team Titles match with Maki Itoh.

The lone champion on the evening show is Hikari Noa. Her next opponent Marika Kobashi is on the day show so they are being kept apart for now.

Something to keep an eye on is YUMI’s Twitter account suddenly becoming active again. The former TJPW wrestler graduated from the company last July to focus on her education. This week she suddenly started tweeting daily, counting down the days “until the beginning of history”. The countdown ends this weekend but not exactly towards the TJPW shows. The reveal may turn out to be something other than a return to TJPW or even pro wrestling so we just have to wait and see.

Yasu Urano receives a bye straight to the semi-finals because of this. Daiki Shimomura is coming off of the biggest upset in Round 1, beating two time Itadaki winner Ryota Nakatsu. The contracts have been signed for the three championship matches. The match order was decided by measuring the career achievements of the three current champions. That means the GHC Heavyweight Title match will be the last match on the show, the KO-D Openweight Title match will be before the GHC match and the Princess Of Princess Title match will be before the KO-D match.

Super Sasadango Machine tried to invade the NOAH show at Korakuen Hall on Saturday to negotiate who he will fight at Saitama Super Arena. Unfortunately he doesn’t understand how wrestlers are able to crash other companies and couldn’t get past the entrance because he had no ticket for the show.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “ADDITIONAL ATTACK”, 17/06/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. International Princess Title: Hikari Noa (c) Vs Marika Kobashi
2. Princess Tag Team Titles: Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh

Maki Itoh has a grand vision for 121000000. She wants herself and Miyu Yamashita to hold all the championships in Tokyo Joshi Pro. Yamashita can have the Princess Title, Itoh can get back the International Princess Title and they will also take one Princess Tag Team Title belt each. Now comes the tough job, beating NEO Biishiki-gun. They did it once before in February but NEO Biishiki-gun got their win back in the Max Heart Tournament final a month later. Time for the rubber match!

Now 20 years old, Marika Kobashi is challenging for her first singles title to prove she has grown up. There is some jealousy behind the move because she didn’t like seeing Hikari Noa win the IP Title before she did.

1. Yuka Sakazaki defeated Arisu Endo with a Sliding Lariat (7:18).
2. Mizuki & Raku defeated Hyper Misao & Mahiro Kiryu when Mizuki pinned Kiryu with the Cutie Special (10:15).
3. Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Nao Kakuta defeated Shoko Nakajima, Nodoka Tenma & Haruna Neko by Referee Stoppage when Tatsumi used the Dragon Sleeper on Neko (13:45).
4. Yuki Kamifuku, Marika Kobashi & Pom Harajuku defeated Hikari Noa, Mirai Maiumi & Suzume when Kobashi pinned Suzume with the Running Bulldog Headlock (11:48).
5. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Yuki Aino & Moka Miyamoto when Yamashita pinned Miyamoto with the Skull Kick (14:26).

Today was the first time in three weeks Tokyo Joshi Pro held a show in front of an audience. Miyu Yamashita said in that period without fans she was able to get stronger and win the Princess Of Princess Title. Then Maki Itoh stepped in and said it was thanks to her because those two can achieve anything together. Itoh asked if Yamashita wants another championship because she wants them to challenge NEO Biishiki-gun for the Princess Tag Team Titles! Yamashita was surprised by the idea but looks forward to it. 121000000 will get their title shot in Korakuen Hall on 17th April. Backstage Itoh said she ultimately wants 121000000 to have all the championships in TJPW so they will have two belts each.

Ever since her debut at 14 years old, Marika Kobashi has never challenged for a singles championship. She never had the confidence to believe she could do it. So it annoys her to see Hikari Noa, who debuted after her, become the International Princess Champion looking cool and confident. Kobashi turns 20 years old in a few days and she wants a title shot as a sign that she has grown up. Noa accepted the challenge and the match will happen on 17th April. Both have promised not to lose. Backstage Kobashi mentioned that if it wasn’t for the pandemic, she was supposed to attend an American university for half a year starting this month. She can’t do that now so she will chase after the IP Title instead.

Yoshimura’s King Of DDT Spot In Doubt, CyberFight Festival Match Dump

May 11, 2021

Based on the instructions of the extended state of emergency and the guidelines presented by all of the venues, the remaining DDT and Ganbare☆Pro shows this month are allowed to go ahead with fans in attendance. A combination of holding shows in areas outside of the emergency zones and at small venues inside said zones seems to be the reason why this is happening. Tokyo Joshi Pro will announce their plans later although they today confirmed their show in Osaka on the 22nd has been pushed back to July. Their only other shows to come this month is one this coming Saturday and the PPV on the 29th. I have my concerns about “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” going ahead even though they should be free to run the show by the time June rolls around. Cramming in four rosters worth of wrestlers into a day long supershow this close to the current situation sounds like it will cause a lot of trouble if they’re not careful. The news about Japan’s handling of its vaccinations sounds really bad too.

Two rounds in, three more to go. DAMNATION can increase their lead in first place and make things worse for Junretsu. They can’t rest easy though because either Eruption or The Iyasareru won’t far behind.

When the field for this year’s King Of DDT was revealed, one wrestler who was left off went to Twitter to give his opinion about it. Yuki Iino doesn’t understand why Naomi Yoshimura was picked to enter the tournament over him. He challenged Yoshimura to a match to prove he deserves the spot instead. Yoshimura accepted the challenge and the card, which was already completed, had to be changed for the match to happen.

A ton of matches added to the show courtesy of DDT and Tokyo Joshi. There’s still more to come believe it or not. Yuki Arai is wrestling on the show after all and gets another crack against Maki Itoh in a trios match. Another thing to note is the mystery partner in the opening match of the STARTING BATTLE pre-show. Every member of the TJPW roster has been accounted for except for the women from NEO Biishiki-gun. They seem to have other engagements that day so X will have to be somebody from outside of TJPW. It’s also the very first match of the day so let’s keep expectations in check. Aja Kong or Mei Suruga would make sense given how their previous appearances in TJPW went. Maybe there is a new trainee about to debut. Or how about Kendo Kashin? That sounds like something he would do.

NOAH have yet to announce their entries into the Battle Royal. I also think they will provide the fourth STARTING BATTLE match to complete the pre-show.

Tokyo Joshi’s visit to Osaka on 22nd May has been postponed until July. The current state of emergency led to all venues in Osaka only allowing events to go ahead without crowds. TJPW decided it was better off to delay their show in Azalea Taisho Hall to a date when fans will be allowed to attend again.

7. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita defeated Rika Tatsumi (c) with the Crash Rabbit Heat (15:06).
*Rika Tatsumi fails in V3. Miyu Yamashita becomes the 8th Princess Of Princess Champion!

As Tokyo Joshi Pro heads on the long journey to “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021”, the landscape went through a big shift inside an empty Korakuen Hall today. Miyu Yamashita is now a 3 time Princess Of Princess Champion after she won it from Rika Tatsumi. She got a big hit in early with a High Kick. Tatsumi recovered to take control with Hip Attacks and submission holds. A back and forth saw kickouts to both the Attitude Adjustment and the Twist Of Fate. Tatsumi thought she had her opponent worn out with the Dragon Sleeper so she climbed the turnbuckle for the Missile Hips. Yamashita surprised her by catching her with a block and following through with a German Suplex. Tatsumi tried to stay in the fight by throwing more Hip Attacks until Yamashita knocked her silly with the Skull Kick. Tatsumi was able to kick out of the pin but another Skull Kick followed by the Crash Rabbit Heat brought the end to her title reign.

Yamashita herself was a little light headed after the match and needed confirmation from Maki Itoh at ringside to register that she won the match. She is sad that there were no fans in Korakuen today but is happy that they got to watch her on their screens at home. She invited Yuka Sakazaki into the ring to confirm they will face each other for the Princess Title at Saitama Super Arena on 6th June. Sakazaki calls it the match to determine the strongest in TJPW, and she’s going to win. Yamashita hopes the match will happen in front of a big audience so she’ll become even stronger as a champion.

NEO Biishiki-gun had their hands full against BeeStar in their first Princess Tag Team Titles defence. Mei Saint-Michel had her fun bullying Suzume until Suzume Dropkicked the silver tray into Saint-Michel’s chest. Mirai Maiumi sent the champs packing with a Double Lariat and then held them outside the ring for Suzume to dive onto them. Back in the ring Suzume went to do the Ring A Bell but Saint-Michel pushed her into Sakisama for a Big Boot. They then did the Tarte Tatin but Suzume kicked out at two. Sakisama got rid of Mirai with a High Kick which meant there was no one to rescue Suzume from giving up to the Saint-Michel. BeeStar may have earned a little bit of Sakisama’s respect though. She didn’t remember them before but today she learned who they are. They will have to give NEO Biishiki-gun thousands of reasons why they deserve a rematch but Sakisama will give them another go if she ever feel likes it.

The big upset of the day came when Hikari Noa beat Yuki Kamifuku to win the International Princess Title! Noa brought the fight out of the ring where Kamifuku was thrown into the ring post. Chairs were piled up on the floor but it was Kamifuku who slammed Noa onto them. Kamifuku caused more damage using chairs before the match went back to the ring. The match took a lot out of both wrestlers. Kamifuku climbed the ropes but Noa caught up with her to hit a Modified Avalanche Uranage. Back on their feet, Noa then hit the Blizzard Suplex for the three count, winning her first championship in her career. Backstage Kamifuku admitted that today Noa was a proper idol. She didn’t wear colored contact lenses and her concert performance at the start of the show was sharp. Kamifuku lost her title but thinks she is about to graduate into something bigger. She will become the Fujiko Mine of Fujisawa! Noa had a lot on her mind after winning the title. Her original tag team partner was the first champion and she was never able to have a title match against her. Then her most recent tag partner Sena Shiori said she wanted to see Noa win the title. Noa now wonders if this is her next step in becoming the Best Death Match Queen in the world. Whatever happens to her next, she wants to dye the IP Title in her colours and not the colour of Kamifuku.

Sakazaki won the 3 Way Match to become the No. 1 Contender, besting both Mizuki and Shoko Nakajima. At first The Magical Sugar Rabbits worked together but Mizuki broke the link by attacking Sakazaki when the chance presented itself. Mizuki and Nakajima then worked together to go 2-on-1 against Sakazaki. The loop was completed when The Miraclians helped each other out against Mizuki. A big scramble of finishers at the end had Nakajima give Mizuki the Northern Lights Suplex. But Sakazaki snuck in and pinned Nakajima with the Koromogawa to take the victory and book her place in Saitama Super Arena.

The debuting Yuki Arai started off her tag match with Arisu Endo but it was only a matter of time until she faced Maki Itoh. Obviously Arai was fighting from the bottom against those two but had Miu Watanabe there to keep things even. Watanabe distracted Itoh long enough for Arai to dodge the Flying Big Head. Arai then hit her signature moved, the Kakato Otoshi axe kick that she calls Finally (named after the SKE48 song). Endo broke the count so Arai went to do the move again. Itoh dodged it this time and Headbutted the rookie. She then planted her with a DDT and got her to tap to the Itoh Deluxe. Itoh called Arai weak after the match but also told her there are still fans watching at home who got courage from her performance. This isn’t Yuki Arai the SKE48 idol, it is Yuki Arai the pro wrestler! It doesn’t matter how many years it takes, Itoh is encouraging Arai to come and crush her because Itoh will crush Arai as many times as she wants!

Hyper Misao revealed that she and The Bakuretsu Sisters are the Tojo Tokusatsu Club and they prepared a secret plan called Formation A. It was supposed to be a combined attack when Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino carried Misao over their heads but it collapsed in failure. Raku then did the Good Night Express with Nao Kakuta & Marika Kobashi for added insult. The Tokusatsu Club regained their senses to win the match. After all, Tokyo Dome City is a sacred place not just for pro wrestling but for superheroes too.

Moka Miyamoto is still searching for her first win, roping in Mahiro Kiryu to help her. She put Pom Harajuku in the Cobra Twist but Haruna Neko broke the hold. Miyamoto then hit a Zero Fighter Kick for another nearfall. Harajuku turned the tables with a Dropkick and won with the Pom Do Justice.

It was an empty arena show but The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) still performed their show opening act.

A ring full of idols will welcome Yuki Arai to the wrestling business. Arai already named Maki Itoh as a future opponent she wanted to wrestle. She also sees Arisu Endo as her closest senpai so it makes sense for those two to be her opponents. Miu Watanabe wants to bridge the gap between idols and wrestlers which makes her the perfect person for Arai to tag with. Arai promised she will do her best to get everyone’s approval. That kind of attitude doesn’t impress Itoh. She’ll see what Arai is like in the ring but she’s not excited about it.
