*V3 for Yuki Ueno.
8. KO-D Openweight Title – Yanekabe Presents: Jun Akiyama defeated Tetsuya Endo (c) with the Modifed Sternness Dust α (31:11).
*Tetsuya Endo fails in V4. Jun Akiyama becomes the 76th KO-D Openweight Champion!

The first “Big Match” show for DDT in 2021 took place in Culttz Kawasaki where fans got to see Jun Akiyama climb back up to the summit and become the new KO-D Openweight Champion! With Kenta Kobashi watching from ringside, Akiyama defeated Tetsuya Endo to avenge the D-Ou Grand Prix loss to him back in November. Endo’s plan was to target Akiyama’s surgically repaired knee to immobilise him. Akiyama had to throw big moves like Piledrivers and different Suplexes to wear down the champion in return. Endo kept kicking out of Exploder Suplexes including one from the top rope. He went high risk with the Shooting Star Press but missed, giving Akiyama the opening to hit his Knee Strikes. Endo kicked out once more this time from the Wrist-Clutch Exploder. It took an open leg Sternness Dust α to finally put Endo down and out to cause the title change.

Kobashi presented Akiyama with the KO-D Title after the match. He wanted to wrap it around his waist but Akiyama refused him. Akiyama said Endo was the best and he was only able to beat him by a small margin today. He doesn’t know if he could do it again, so he is going to borrow this championship for a while. Endo shouted he will get it back and then left. Akiyama then said he cannot wear the title around his waist until he beats the other DDT wrestler he lost against in the Grand Prix. He wants his first defence to be against Kazusada Higuchi! Akiyama then referenced the WRESTLE UNIVERSE servers going down during the main event and joked about using Danshoku Dieno’s anal server to power it back up (that will be explained below).

In order to prepare for his DDT UNIVERSAL Title defence, Yuki Ueno went to train Jiu-Jitsu under Shinya Aoki so he could learn how to defend himself from Yukio Sakaguchi’s Sleeper Hold. The game plan he put together was to take out Sakaguchi’s left arm and strike first with counters. That was how he cut off the God’s Right Knee with a Dropkick. Sakaguchi wouldn’t die though even when Ueno gave him the WR. Sakaguchi instead tried to shake it off and go straight for the Sleeper Hold. But Ueno’s training paid off and he reversed the submission, choking out Sakaguchi until the match was stopped. Sakaguchi was woken up by medical staff and still had the power to hand the belt over to the champion. Ueno told him he doesn’t have any unpleasant feelings towards him. He was a little luckier today but little by little he is improving. Ueno then said in a few years time he wants to be as cool and scary as Sakaguchi is.

Yuki Iino made a triumphant return by leading ALL OUT to victory over DAMNATION. He immediately gave a Spear to Yuji Hino at the start of the match. ALL OUT all piled on top of Iino and Mad Paulie which was then broken up by a Diving Elbow from Daisuke Sasaki. A challenge of strength took place between Konosuke Takeshita and Hino when they both did Double German Suplexes to wrestlers on both teams. A ladder was bridged from the ring to the commentary table and Hino threw Shunma Katsumata onto it. Sasaki hit Iino with a chairshot behind the referee’s back but Iino shrugged it off and fought back. He got rid of Sasaki with a Lariat and then dropped Hino with a Back Flip. Paulie came in for a fight but missed the Reverse Splash. He kicked out of the Spear at one so Iino revved up for another Spear and that one got the three count. Iino and Hino had a staredown afterwards to hype up their singles match on 23rd February in Nagoya. Another story coming out of this match was Sasaki’s comments backstage. He said his goal for 2021 is to make Takeshita join DAMNATION! When ALL OUT heard that, Akito said he will make Soma Takao join the Young Communication Generation in return. Takeshita then joked that Mad Paulie will join the DDT Sauna Club.

If there is anything I will give Yukio Naya credit for, it is for getting into shape. He’s making good progress with losing weight in a bid to get into better in-ring condition. He still had a very difficult task today going with Higuchi up to fight against Smile Pissari. Naya came close to victory when he gave HARASHIMA a Back Drop. But it all fell apart when he charged right into a Somato. HARASHIMA got the space he wanted to recover and hit a second Somato for the win. HARASHIMA was happy to team with Yuji Okabayashi again and they may now have a claim to challenge for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

The spirit of 90’s Michinoku Pro was felt throughout the Special 6-Man Tag Match. Super Delfin had a new era Delfin Gundan in the form of Chris Brookes & Maki Itoh going against the Tohoku trio of MAO, Keigo Nakamura & Mirai Maiumi. Itoh entered wearing a Gran Naniwa costume and mimicked the late wrestler’s moveset, doing Naniwa’s Crab Walk on the ropes spot to set up the Flying Big Head finish. Delfin said this match happened a day after an earthquake happened in the Tohoku region, almost a decade after the 2011 earthquake. He hopes it will be safe enough for them to do a rematch over there some day. Brookes said it was a dream come true to team with Delfin because he is a cornerstone of the innovative junior heavyweight style of the 90’s. Itoh said the rope walk is a lot more difficult than it looks.

It turns out Saori Anou was right to complain about having to team with Miyako Matsumoto. They had a few too many miscommunications that caused their tag team to fall apart. Anou got sick of getting knocked around by her own tag partner that she gave Matsumoto a Fisherman Buster and left her out to dry. Maya Yukihi hit Matsumoto with the Jumping Super Kick and Saki Akai finished her off with the Rookie Award. Akai, Yukihi and Anou then did a group pose together and left the ring when Matsumoto tried to join in.

New KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Champions have been crowned! Will we see a proper title reign for once? Hell if I know! But enough about that, it’s time to finally talk about Dieno’s anal server. Kazuki Hirata began dancing unconsciously before the match because he was suffering from withdrawal symptoms after spending some time away from the dance gimmick. When he got to do dance in the ring the enthusiasm was so high that it caused a power outage in the venue. Everyone agreed to use Dieno’s backside as a power supply but the cable was not long enough. The wrestlers agreed to form a human chain from Dieno’s butt to the power source. The plan worked but the power wasn’t enough to bring the electricity back to full surge. Shinya Aoki came up with the solution to do the Hell Gate on Dieno, giving the anal power source the energy Dieno needed to power up the building again. Hirata got to dance and pin Sanshiro Takagi to win the titles.

The new rivalry between Yusuke Okada and Mizuki Watase is heating up. The two got rough with each other during the opener. Watase even made it a point to make Toui Kojima submit to a Crab Hold in front of Okada while Okada was being held back by Hideki Okatani. Watase is looking forward to their singles match because he now has a burning heart that wasn’t there before.

4. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel when Itoh pinned Saint-Michel with the Flying Big Head (16:54).
5. International Princess Title: Yuki Kamifuku (c) defeated Mirai Maiumi with the Diving Fame Asser (9:46).
*V1 for Yuki Kamifuku.
6. Princess Tag Team Titles: Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino (c) defeated Shin Ultra Shoko & Hyper Misao when Aino pinned Shoko with the UBV (13:28).
*V2 for The Bakuretsu Sisters.
7. Princess Of Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) defeated Miu Watanabe with the Missile Hips (18:18).
*V1 for Rika Tatsumi.

The Daydream showdown marked Rika Tatsumi’s first defence of the Princess Of Princess Title. She survived a Top Rope Canadian Backbreaker Drop from Miu Watanabe then countered the Tear Drop into the Twist Of Fate. From there Tatsumi hit Watanabe with Hip Attacks until she got the pin with the Missile Hips. Tatsumi thought she was going to be too strong for Watanabe but that didn’t happen at all. She thinks that is amazing and thanked Watanabe for fighting her. She will continue to support Watanabe building the bridge between idols and pro wrestling. Tatsumi also has a dream and that is to make Tokyo Joshi Pro bigger. The two of them agreed to continue teaming together as Daydream and they will enter the “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament beginning later this month.

A big battle requires big armour. The Tokyo Joshingers arrived for their Princess Tag Team Titles match wearing new combat suits which left the referee Yukinori Matsui looking confused. The Bakuretsu Sisters tore the armour off to start the match. Yuki Aino cut off Shin Ultra Shoko by pulling her down by her cloak. Shoko freed herself from the cloak and wiped out the Sisters outside the ring with a Suicide Dive. Hyper Misao followed up by throwing a dislodged piece of her Combat Bicycle at them. The challengers had their chance but Aino suddenly countered Shoko’s Northern Lights Suplex into the Venus DDT. She then finished her off with the UBV for the three count. Backstage after the match, Shoko said she will entrust Misao and The Bakuretsu Sisters to protect the world while she returns to the stars. Her month as a superhero has ended and Shoko Nakajima will return. She also wants the Sisters to have her mask while she is gone. Misao is sad to see Shin Ultra Shoko leave already but she still wants to team with Nakajima for the Max Hearts Tournament. Nodoka Tenma promises to win the tournament so everyone will remember The Bakuretsu Sisters as TJPW’s number one tag team.

Sadly for Mirai Maiumi, the Miramare Shock did not happen today. She was all ready for it too with a new look. Yuki Kamifuku had something new of her own to show off, a new entrance song. Kamifuku kicked away Maiumi’s custom steel case made for today’s match and even closed it over her opponent’s head for added insult. Maiumi trapped Kamifuku in the Miramare submission but Kamifuku found ways to get out of it. She ended up winning with two Fame Assers, one from the second rope. Maiumi wonders if Kamifuku delivered her own Miramare Shock before the match even happened. She kept making fun of Maiumi’s rural background and all it did was make Maiumi notice things about her that she never noticed before. Maiumi promises she will deliver the Miramare Shock some day and when she does, everyone will be seeing a new Mirai Maiumi. Kamifuku said was a little worried because her opponent today has a lot more passion for pro wrestling than she does. Mirai watches a lot of famous wrestling matches and copies what she sees. Kamifuku doesn’t want to be a parody so she put more effort into her entire package today so she would win as herself instead of an imitation. She thinks it is better to show your attitude than to talk. A shock happens on its own, it is not something you can force.

The Max Hearts Tournament is on the minds of everyone in TJPW. A lot of the results were signs of intent from the women towards winning the whole thing. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh made their message loud and clear with a big victory over NEO Biishiki-gun. No amount of cheating with roses and silver platters could stop them. Yamashita wiped out Sakisama with the Skull Kick while Itoh pinned Mei Saint-Michel with the Flying Big Head, handing Saint-Michel her first loss in TJPW. Even though Itoh ultimately wants to beat Yamashita someday, she sees they make a good team together. Yamashita agrees. It’s a mystery how their styles are so different but still fit each other. Yamashita is also pleased she won a match against Sakisama. She knows she will beat her in a singles match when the time comes.

The Magical Sugar Rabbits are trying out a new move called the Yukacchi Bomb but they haven’t quite figured it out yet. It involves Mizuki doing a Sunset Flip on Yuka Sakazaki and they both land on top of their opponents to pin them. However the move also does damage to Sakazaki which makes her lift her shoulders and weakens the pinning attempt. Still, Mizuki wants to continue working on the move because it is good for them to keep challenging themselves. It’s a good thing that the experiment didn’t cost them the match because Suzume & Arisu Endo threw everything they had at them. Suzume got Mizuki out of the ring for Endo to finish Sakazaki off. But Sakazaki fought back and got the win with the Magical Merry-Go-Round.

Hikari Noa came out of her match wanting to face Nao Kakuta more often. She also wants a singles match against Yuna Manase. Both Mahiro Kiryu & Sena Shiori were disappointed they’re not at a stong enough level yet to show off their growth to Manase. Raku however was at her happiest. She won the match and got to do it in front of her two “older sisters”. Since Manase is working so hard over in Ganbare☆Pro she keeps thinking she has nothing left to do in TJPW. But there’s more to wrestling than big matches so whenever she can use her connections for a TJPW booking, she’ll look forward to being there.

Last time in Korakuen Hall, the team of Pom Harajuku & Haruna Neko lost to Moka Miyamoto. Today they got their win back against her. Neko got rid of Marika Kobashi with the Codebreaker leaving Harajuku to get the win with the Pom Do Justice. The pair want to team up for the Max Hearts Tournament with the team name Harunyan.

TJPW will have a show in for a women only audience at Itabashi Green Hall on 4th April. They originally planned to do the concept a year ago but it had to be cancelled because of the pandemic.

Sakazaki, Itoh And VENY Enter AEW Tournament

February 4, 2021

The big news related to Tokyo Joshi Pro over the last 24 hours has been AEW announcing the field for their upcoming women’s tournament. Half of the brackets will take place in Japan (it was accidentally leaked that Saitama Wrestle Butokan, aka the Ice Ribbon Dojo is being used as the venue and content has already been taped) and two wrestlers from TJPW will be involved. Yuka Sakazaki makes her long awaited return to AEW but the even bigger story is Maki Itoh will be entering too! Those who already know of her reputation are over the moon about this news. Everybody else won’t know what hit them. Asuka will also be taking part, wrestling under the name VENY which she made to become her moniker for wrestling overseas.

6. International Princess Title: Yuki Kamifuku (c) Vs Mirai Maiumi
7. Princess Of Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Miu Watanabe

The contract signing for the three title matches has taken place. Rika Tatsumi made it clear her goal as the Princess Of Princess Title is to defend it for a century. When she teams with Miu Watanabe as Daydream, she thinks of ways to use Watanabe as a weapon against their opponents. So she already has ideas of how to attack Watanabe directly. It is a special match for her but she is not nervous. She has already been champion for a month and has learned to be calm about it. Watanabe thinks she has already grown thanks to wrestling against Tatsumi over the last month.

Mirai Maiumi created her own attaché case to represent her International Princess Title shot. She wants to become the champion to give courage and energy all over Japan. She promises her match will be the Miramare Shock miracle! As champion, Yuki Kamifuku purposely wants to make people feel jealousy. That way everyone will pay attention to her and Tokyo Joshi Pro.

The creation of Shin Ultra Shoka has reminded Hyper Misao of her original intentions when she became a superhero. She wants to create a superhero squad of Tokyo Joshi! There are five colours in the hero squad and two have already been filled. Red and green. That leaves blue, yellow and pink. If the Tokyo Joshingers win the Princess Tag Team Titles then they can add The Bakuretsu Sisters to their squad. Nodoka Tenma wants to be the blue ranger but she would rather still be champion. She also wants Shoko Nakajima to go back to normal so they can team with her as the Tokyo Joshi Special Effects Club again. They would even prefer Misao to join the club rather than they join the Joshingers. Yuki Aino also reminded the challengers that it’s the people that give heroes their powers and they will use that power to defend the belts.

5. Rika Tatsumi, Hikari Noa & Marika Kobashi defeated Miu Watanabe, Mahiro Kiryu & Pom Harajuku when Tatsumi submitted Kiryu with the Dragon Sleeper (12:18).

It is eleven days to go until Tokyo Joshi Pro returns to Korakuen Hall. For Rika Tatsumi her goal today was to stay in good condition alongside Hikari Noa & Marika Kobashi. She thanked everyone for attending as well as thanked the viewers around the world who watched the live stream on Youtube. Her show closing line was “ALL YOU NEED IS TJPW!”

NEO Biishiki-gun ambushed Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh in the ring after their match. Itoh was on the microphone telling everyone how strong she and Yamashita are after their Ittenyon death battle when Mei Saint-Michel hit her from behind with her serving tray. Yamashita threw a High Kick but Saint-Michel blocked it with the tray and Sakisama hit Yamashita with a rose for added insult. Sakisama said Yamashita & Itoh will kneel down in front of them at Korakuen. She dared them to resist their fate because they aren’t even the appetizer for NEO Biishiki-gun’s main course. Saint-Michel started complaining about a bad smell in the room and Sakisama told her it was the scent of pork coming from Yamashita & Itoh.

While Shin Ultra Shoko is still recovering, Hyper Misao informed everyone that superheroes have many secret weapons at their disposal. Shoka brought one along today and revealed it was a big sword. She then became upset when Daisuke Kiso told her using it would be disqualify Misao. Shoko still told Misao to hold it during the match as a talisman. Late in the match Nodoka Tenma grabbed the sword and Misao tried to fake being attacked so Kiso would DQ Tenma. Instead Tenma snapped the sword in half over her knee and pinned Misao with the Killswitch. Tenma felt bad afterward for breaking the sword because she wanted it for herself.

7. The Past, Present & Future Of Tokyo Joshi Pro Cross On The Mat!: Miyu Yamashita & Mirai Maiumi defeated Rika Tatsumi & Suzume when Yamashita pinned Suzume with the Attitude Adjustment (10:15).

Tokyo Joshi Pro went back to its roots with a return to mat wrestling matches inside TwinBox AKIHABARA. The venue hosted TJPW’s very first event where three trainees including Miyu Yamashita took part in exhibition matches alongside musical performances from idol groups. Today’s show aired on PPV through OPENREC. It begun with Sayuri Namba hosting a talk segment with Yuka Sakazaki and Yuki Kamifuku. Then there were musical performances with Maki Itoh, Rika Tatsumi and the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling). In the “crowd” were Hyper Misao and Shin Ultra Shoko waving penlights to the music and cheering the singers on.

The wrestlers gave out comments before the matches. Yamashita worked double duty by being in both the opener and the main event because of some last minute changes. She found it meaningful for her to face the newest TJPW wrestler Arisu Endo in the room where TJPW began. She also brought back her dancing entrance to “Genghis Khan”. Endo Body Slammed Yamashita onto the mat and applied a Camel Clutch. Yamashita powered out of it, put Endo in a Cobra Clutch and pulled her down onto the mat to submit her.

Sena Shiori knew that her match with Misao was really a Handicap Match withShoko also involved. However she still fell for Misao’s trick when she was invited to become a part time superhero only to be attacked with cloak. Shoko passed over a Hyper Ultra Ball but Shiori intercepted it and used it as a weapon herself. Misao was able to recover and win with the Hypami Returns.

Both Itoh and Moka Miyamoto are new to mat wrestling despite the gap in regular wrestling experience between them. Itoh struggled out of the Manjigatame and dropped Miyamoto with a Wrist-Clutch DDT. She then finished her off with a Crab Hold.

Pom Harajuku said she is always at the mercy of The Magical Sugar Rabbits whenever they wrestle so she needed her teamwork with Mahiro Kiryu to be perfect against them. Sakazaki was excited to wrestle on a mat again because that’s a lawless area where you can do anything! They did just that by using the security barrier like a top turnbuckle to do high flying moves off of. Mizuki also used Sakazaki as a stepping stone to do a Flying Cross Body to Kiryu. Sakazaki pinned Harajuku with a Delayed Brainbuster.

Kamifuku noticed that Marika Kobashi’s makeup has been getting darker recently and it makes her look like a demon. She was going to be responsible like an older sister and clean the makeup off of Kobashi’s face. She brought along facewipes and tried to use them but Kobashi fought her off with Chops. Kamifuku removed her own makeup to show her opponent it is okay to show your true appearance but Kobashi still resisted. Kamifuku put her in a Manjigatame and forcefully wiped the makeup off Kobashi’s face, giving her no choice but to give up.

The Up Up Girls called their concert at the start of the show a warm up for their match next. Raku wants everyone to eat sweets which is why she gave Nodoka Tenma a candy necklace when the match began. But it was really a surprise attack to set up the Good Night Express. Tenma would later wrap the candy around her fist to load up her punches. Miu Watanabe used the Giant Swing on Yuki Aino. Raku fought off The Bakuretsu Sisters with the Brain Chop. The match ended when Hikari Noa used her Figur 4 Clutch Hold to pin Haruna Neko. Noa has named the pinning combination the Saigo No Bansan (Last Supper).

Yamashita came back out for the main event. Mirai Maiumi wanted to tag with her to experience the history of TJPW. Tatsumi thought Yamashita was getting carried away by the nostalgia so she wanted to give her a good beating. Yamashita and Tatsumi fought over by the announce table while Maiumi and Suzume kept their wrestling on the mat. Tatsumi missed the Hip Attack and collided with the wall. Miaumi hit her with a Lariat on the rebound. Yamashita countered the Ring A Bell into the Attitude Adjustment on Suzume for the three count.

After the match Yamashita spoke about the first show from 8 years ago. It was just her, KANNA, Chikage Kiba and the referee Daisuke Kiso taking part in matches. Over the years her number of friends increased and she hopes TJPW will continue to grow even bigger.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “POSITIVE CHAIN”, 11/02/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Marika Kobashi & Moka Miyamoto Vs Pom Harajuku & Haruna Neko
2. Yuna Manase, Nao Kakuta & Raku Vs Hikari Noa, Mahiro Kiryu & Sena Shiori
3. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Suzume & Arisu Endo
4. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh Vs Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel
5. Princess Tag Team Titles: Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino (c) Vs Shin Ultra Shoko & Hyper Misao
6. International Princess Title: Yuki Kamifuku (c) Vs Mirai Maiumi
7. Princess Of Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Miu Watanabe

A peculiar challenge awaits The Bakuretsu Sisters. Their second Princess Tag Team Titles defence is against a team made up of former champions when they were under different personas. Shoko Nakajima was one of the first champions but she is Shin Ultra Shoko this month. Hyper Misao was a champion but that was when she discarded her superhero form in search for power. How will they fare as a superpowered duo?

A hot headed Maki Itoh demanded a handicap match against NEO Biishiki-gun. It was refused for being too unfair for her. She had to drag Miyu Yamashita into the scene to get it accepted as a tag match instead. Yamashita doesn’t have a good record against Sakisama so a chance to even the score is motivation for her while Itoh gets to scrap with Mei Saint-Michel.

DDT “DAMNATION ILLEGAL ASSEMBLY RETURNS VOL. 3”, 19/02/2021
Shinjuku FACE

1. 45 Year Olds Gathering: Shuji Ishikawa & Tanomusaku Toba Vs Toru Owashi & Yasu Urano
2. Special Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Hiroshi Yamato Vs HUB & Yasutaka Oosera
3. Special Single Match: Tetsuya Endo Vs Hagane Shinno

There’s no DAMNATION mutiny to ruin the planning of the show this time. Hagane Shinno made it clear during his Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title run that that he wants to fight wrestlers worth his time while his career is in its twilight period. Tetsuya Endo should fit the bill quite nicely.

The Tokyo Joshingers confronted The Bakuretsu Sisters and challenged them to a match. Shin Ultra Shoko said if the Sisters are the sun setting, then the Joshingers are the sun rising. She wants proof that the Sisters have the strength to keep peace in Tokyo Joshi Pro so they should put the Princess Tag Team Titles on the line. Nodoka Tenma pointed out that Shin Ultra Shoko is only around for a month but Shoko told her not to worry about the details. They agreed to have the title match at the 11th February Korakuen Hall show.

After winning her match, Maki Itoh demanded to fight NEO Biishiki-gun in a 2 Vs 1 Handicap Match at Korakuen. Tetsuya Koda would not agree to it and there was no response from NEO Biishiki-gun to accept the challenge. When she calmed down backstage, Itoh found Miyu Yamashita eating gummies and told her to team up so Koda would book the match as a tag bout.
