7. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo ended in a Time Limit Draw (60:00).
*V2 for Konosuke Takeshita.

60 minutes wasn’t enough to separate Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo. Both threw everything they could at each other. Endo even had some minor help from DAMNATION at times and it still wasn’t enough to win. When Takaeshita was about to give Endo the Cross Arm German Suplex at the 35th minute, Daisuke Sasaki distracted the referee so Endo could Low Blow Takeshita to escape the move. Then outside the ring Mad Paulie positioned himself on his hands and knees on the stage so Endo could Moonsault off of him onto Takeshita. Endo then wound the other end when Takeshita Suplexed him onto the ring apron. The match risked ending in a Double Countout until both the champion and challenger crawled back into the ring at the 19 count. Another Double Countout came close after a strike battle briefly knocked out both wrestlers. Endo hit the Shooting Star Press but Takeshita kicked out of it and clung on to Endo’s legs so he couldn’t climb the turnbuckles again. They both wound up on the top rope and Endo hit the Spanish Fly for a nearfall. Takeshita hit a Dragon Suplex, Lariat and busted out the Last Ride but only got a two count. In the final minutes of the match Takeshita went for the Cross Arm German again but Endo pulled out a Kasadora counter for nearfall. As the last few seconds counted down Endo put Takeshita in the Crippler Crossface but the bell rang to end the match. A draw means Takeshita is still the KO-D Openweight Champion but he wasn’t satisfied by the result. He and Endo had one more staredown that ended with Endo lightly slapping his rival then leaving ringside.

An emotionally drained Amon Tsurumi thanked Takeshita for having a great match. Takeshita petted him on the head and said as long as he is still champion he will keep Korakuen Hall full. The pleasant moment was interrupted when Yoshihiro Takayama strolled down to the ring wearing his Right To Challenge gauntlet. He called Takeshita an awesome champion. He’s impressed. But Takayama said that he is a former GHC, IWGP, NWF and Triple Crown Champion. He collects championships and now he is interested in getting the KO-D Openweight Title! When he said he wasn’t cashing in his title shot right now, Makoto Oishi and Nobuhiro Shimatani appeared at the stage entrance. Both were trying to sneak into the ring and cash in their contracts on an unaware Takeshita. Takayama spotted the two and scared them off. Takeshita asked Takayama when he wants his title match. It will happen in Korakuen Hall on 28th May! Takeshita promised Takayama that he won’t lose the KO-D Title until then and he hopes Takeyama will do the same with his RTC contract. If that wasn’t enough, Akito approached Takayama and provoked Takayama. Akito said when he began wrestling he admired Takayama but now he is just boring. He is also sick of seeing Danshoku Dino’s ass everywhere in DDT. Dino stood up for Takayama and argued with Akito. The result of this is New No Fear’s first KO-D Tag Team Title defence will be against ALL OUT on 21st May in Sapporo. Takeshita ended the show by saying although he did not beat Endo, he will settle that problem another day. Until then he will beat Takayama with a German Suplex that is even higher than the Everest German!

The Lip Lock was the gamechanger in the KO-D Tag Team Titles Match. First Dino used the move stopped Yukio Sakaguchi from doing the top rope Right Knee Of God to Takayama. He then gave Sakaguchi a Spider Superplex so he could adjust his posture into the Hell Gate pose. Masakatsu Funaki fought off Dino afterwards but he was still put in the Lip Lock by Takayama. The sight of the move distracted Sakaguchi long enough for Dino to give the Lip Lock to him. Takayama then grabbed Sakaguchi and pinned him with the Everest German. Takayama foreshadowed his Right To Challenge plans when he told Tsurumi after the match that he was too busy to defend the KO-D Tag Titles on the 28th May Korakuen show. Funaki said he won’t be challenging for the titles again until there are new champions. He figured the only way he and Sakaguchi can beat New No Fear is if they also turn gay which according to them is impossible.

Kazusada Higuchi made a big statement by pinning HARASHIMA to win his RTC contract in the special Worldwide Tag Match. With Shigehiro Irie (who entered the ring wearing a Panda mask as some sort of OI4K shoutout) on his side, the combined power was too much for HARASHIMA and Mike Bailey to handle. Higuchi used his strength to block a Reverse Hurricanrana and instead throw HARASHIMA into the turnbuckles. Irie then hit a Running Cannonball to HARASHIMA out of nowhere which gave Higuchi an easy road to hitting the Doctor Bomb. Higuchi explained afterwards that HARASHIMA is only familiar with the RTC contracts when he was the champion. He doesn’t know what it is like to defend the contracts, which is something Higuchi knows a lot. So that’s how Higuchi could beat HARASHIMA today.

Akito wrestled in new wrestling gear which has some oddly placed exposed sections in the hips area. He also added a Modified Omoplata to his arsenal and it is very effective. Soma Takao quickly tapped out to it.

With a little help from Mad Paulie, Heidi Katrina pinned Saki Akai in their first confrontation. Paulie squashed Akai with a Lariat in the corner while Daisuke Sasaki dove out of the ring onto the rest of Akai’s team. Katrina then dropped Akai with an Oklahoma Stampede and pinned her with a Leg Drop. Katrina say she will fight Akai again anytime, anywhere. Sasaki translated her promo and turned it into a more bunch of insults. Sasaki then claimed that Katrina called him kind, brave and masculine.

When NωA and T2Hide faced off there was a lot on the line. NωA were defending the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles and debuting their brand new song “ωe are the HERO”. T2Hide were fighting to prevent Kazuki Hirata from getting kicked out of Japan. Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi sang Hirata’s entrance music but Hirata hated it because it wasn’t good enough to dance to. Everyone from NωA, T2Hide, the referee and even a bunch of other wrestlers all ganged up to stomp on Hirata for being ungrateful. Hirata summoned his music proper but was then pinned by Makoto Oishi. Hirata lost his RTC contract to Oishi and now he has to be deported from Japan! While he was dealing with this, Oishi was attacked by Danshoku Dino and Royce Isaacs. They broke his arm with Isaacs’ Miracle Ass then fled. When that was over with the rest of the roster said their farewells to Hirata and carried him away from ringside. Takagi ignored Hirata’s protests to congratulate him on his new beginnings. He then told the audience to please look forward to the next chapter of “Dr. Kazuki Hirata’s” adventures.

Before the 5 Way Match took place, Dino and Isaacs sent a warning to the rest of the competitors. Isaacs used his Miracle Ass to split a pair of chopsticks. Then when Ryuichi Sekine walked into the room Dino grabbed his arm and Isaacs broke it with his Miracle Ass. In the match itself Isaacs went on a streak of breaking arms that would make Penta el Zero M jealous. The streak was ended when Antonio Honda grabbed Isaacs’ arm, stuck it under his own shoulder strap and used his chest to pop the arm. He then pinned Isaacs with a Small Package to become the No. 1 Contender for the DDT Extreme Title. Nice guy Honda then popped everyone’s arms back into place after the match.

Yuki Ueno scored his first ever singles win in the dark match, pinning Daiki Shimomura with a Dropkick. Amon Tsurumi congratulated him afterwards.

DDT is creating a brand new set of championships. If you thought a 6-man Tag Team championship is overdoing it then strap yourselves in and make room for the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Championships! The first champions will be crowned at Sumo Hall on 20th August.

Super Sasadango Machine has recovered from his heart problems and will return to action on 28th May! Sasadango teams with Sanshiro Takagi to face Minoru Suzuki & Rocky Kawamura!

The Street Wrestling match to be held at the Tokyo Dome finally is finally going ahead. On 1st June, Sanshiro Takagi faces Minoru Suzuki and they are free to fight all over the Dome in what is pretty much an Empty Arena match. No fans, no crowds, just the two wrestlers and a cameraman filming the action live for DDT UNIVERSE.

Isami Kodaka will be leaving his job as manager for the Drop Kick Bar in May. Akito is the new manager and he hopes to run a bar that will be full of hospitality for its customers.

6. Takeshita & Akito Vs DAMNATION!: Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Akito when Endo pinned Takeshita with the Shooting Star Press (17:11).

Tetsuya Endo’s Shooting Star Press was at its most effective yet when he used the move to pin Konosuke Takeshita. Endo recently adopted the move as his new finisher and showed everyone that it is strong enough to beat the KO-D Openweight Champion. Endo called Takeshita a miserable champions and then said he will easily win the belt from him at Korakuen Hall next week.

Saki Akai got to enjoy her homecoming match with Shuten-dōji. When she won the match she told the audience she never thought she would return to Kyoto as a pro wrestler but she was very happy to win the match with her “older brothers”. The entire team then celebrated in the ring with some sake, the first glass of many for the rest of the night.

Danshoku Dino is putting together a new group called the International Gay Factory, or IGF for short. Royce Isaacs and his Miracle Ass is Dino’s first signing. Isaacs demonstrated his Miracle Ass by using it to split apart a pair of chopsticks before the match began. When they won their match Dino told everyone that the legend of Isaacs began today in Kyoto. It will help Dino accomplish his plans for IGF.

Kazuki Hirata surprised everyone by pinning Shigehiro Irie to win his Right To Challenge Contract. The result came when everyone in the match danced then Irie tried to interrupt it with the Beast Bomber. Hirata ducked the Bomber and rolled up Irie with the One Shot Miracle Cradle for the three count. When Hirata got over the shock of winning he realised that by holding this contract, he cannot be banished from Japan if T2Hide lose to NωA next week! Hirata promises not only to hold on to the contract but also win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Then he can move on to becoming a singles champion when he cashes in!

All aboard! DDT teamed up with Choshi Electric Rail for their latest Street Wrestling experiment. Can you do a pro wrestling free for all inside a moving train? Sure you can! The train journey began in Nakano Town Station and do a full circle around the railway line. The match itself was a Falls Count Anywhere Battle Royal with new wrestlers entering the train at a different station. Pinfalls, submissions and being ejected from the train and left behind at a station were the intended ways to eliminate the opponents. Sanshiro Takagi, Rekka and HARASHIMA were the first entrants to start the match. The three did what they could while they adjusted to the cramped surroundings.

Nobuhiro Shimatani and Yasu Urano entered at Choshi Station. They were already fighting each other at the platform when the train arrived. Urano threw Shimatani against one of the railings and directed the others to do a Train Attack. Keisuke Ishii entered at Nishiinkajima Station and went through an athletic back and forth with Urano. When he switched focus to Takagi, Urano took the opportunity to low blow Shimatani.

The crowd gasped when the train arrived at Kimigahama Station because Mad Paulie was there waiting for them. He clubbed Ishii with a forearm until Urano leapt on his back and applied a Sleeper Hold. Shimatani hit a Standing Shooting Star on Ishii and pinned him while everyone else piled on top. It was ruled that Shimatani gets credited for eliminating Ishii so that means he won Ishii’s Right To Challenge Contract! As this was going on Paulie countered Urano’s Sleeper Hold into an Argentine Backbreaker. He walked up and down the train with Urano in the move until Urano gave up.

At Inabaru Station, Guanchulo was chased onto the train by Danshoku Dino and Royce Isaacs. Rekka tried to stop Dino because it is illegal to grope people on trains. Dino gave him a Lip Lock and the Danshoku Nightmare to eliminated him. NωA were next to enter at Ogawa Station. They sang and dance on the platform while Takagi and HARASHIMA fought over next to them. An old lady on the platform waved everyone off as the train departed. Dino and Isaacs double teamed HARASHIMA and tried to convince Paulie to join in but he attacked them instead. When the train stopped at an empty Kimigahama Station, Dino pushed Paulie out and the train left without him.

Back in the train there was a Headcsissor link formed from one end of the train to the other. Takagi turned everyone over with a Boston Crab link with Isaacs suffering the most at the other end. Isaacs reached over and grabbed a railing which in this situation counted as a Rope Break. Isaacs was then accidentaly given a Lip Lock when Shimatani ducked Dino’s affections. Shimatani then gave Isaacs a School Boy to eliminate him and win his second Right To Challenge Contract!

Saki Akai and Lady Beard got in the train at Kaiokajima Station and they put Shunma Katsumata and MAO in separate Cobra Twists. HARASHIMA grabbed Akai and put her in the Romero Special. Dino used Katsumata and MAO as stepping stones so he could go in position for a human pyramid Hell Gate. Makoto Oishi used it to great effect by pushing Takagi face first into Dino’s backside followed by a successful pinfall. Oishi and Dino then joined forces to form a Revolving Hell Gate on Akai. Katsumata pinned her for the elimination.

The final entrant appeared at Kurosui Station. It was Kazusada Higuchi wearing his sumo mawashi. Lady Beard squared up to him for a Sumo match but Higuchi squeezed him in a Bearhug until he tapped out. All three NωA members combined tried to push Higuchi back but Higuchi shoved them out of the train at Choshi Station for a triple elimination. HARASHIMA looked like he was about to join in the sumo fun but he threw kicks at Higuchi instead. Higuchi rushed in and was knocked down by a High Kick. HARASHIMA then rolled over with a Jackknife to pin Higuchi. HARASHIMA shouted that he won the duel because “This is pro wrestling.”

On the other side of the train Guanchulo pinned Shimatani with a Backslide Pin, winning one of the RTC Contracts. Shimatani still holds the other one so he wasn’t too upset over it. With HARASHIMA and Guanchulo as the final two wrestlers in the match, the train wasn’t far away from its final destination. HARASHIMA hit Guanchulo with a Buzzsaw Kick and followed with the Somato. HARASHIMA won the Train Pro Wrestling Match and gets an RTC Contract as his prize! The train arrived back at Nakano Town Station and HARASHIMA thanked the 40 fans for coming to support them.

-. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) defeated Akito with a Wrist Clutch Fisherman Buster (15:38).
*V1 for Konosuke Takeshita. Akito cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

The Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere season has begun and we already got a cash in! After a hard fought main event where Konosuke Takeshita defeated Mad Paulie, the celebration was cut short when Akito ran in and Dropkicked Takeshita from behind. He then cashed in his newly won Right To Challenge Contract for an immediate KO-D Openweight Title Match! To make things even more interesting, DAMNATION members Daisuke Sasaki and Tetsuya Endo were at ringside to watch the match up close. Takeshita was able to survive Akito’s submissions but the challenger was well prepared to avoid any version of Takeshita’s German Suplexes. The Champion instead had to add a new move to his arsenal and used a Wrist Clutch Fisherman Buster to successfully defend his title.

Sasaki commiserated Akito for the loss and handed him a DAMNATION T-shirt. Sasaki welcomed him as the newest member of the group. However Akito rejected the offer and threw the shirt at Sasaki! He was then attacked by Sasaki & Endo until Takeshita came to rescue him. Akito left the ring without shaking Takeshita’s hand but paused as Takeshita spoke to him on the microphone. Takeshita said he had fun wrestling Akito and he doesn’t dislike him so they should wrestle together more. Akito responded that he had been thinking a lot since leaving Smile Squash, like is he as good as HARASHIMA on his own or does he need something like the Right To Challenge contract to become the champion? Takeshita extended his hand and asked Akito to team with him. Akito asked if Takeshita is okay to team with him even if he gets another RTC contract and cashes in again? Takeshita answered that it would be make the team more interesting. Akito joked that Takeshita is smart after all and agreed to join his side.

Another alliance was formed after the show when Danshoku Dino and Royce Isaacs were seen hanging out together among the crowd. Isaacs announced that he was coming out as gay. He regretted keeping it a secret for years but by wrestling in Japan he discovered the freedom to be himself. Dino praised Isaacs for his power as a gay wrestler and invited the fans to call him “Ai-chan” in the future. Dino also said he wants to expand the world of gay wrestling and rattled off facts about how 80% of the people here are homosexuals. He then lead everyone in “G-A-Y” chants.

Dino proved to be a tricky opponent for Yukio Sakaguchi to handle. He kept on finding ways to counter Sakaguchi’s moves into the Lip Lock. But Sakaguchi was able to win by turning the last Lip Lock into the Gedo Clutch for the pin. Dino was so disappointed by the defeat that Yoshihiro Takayama had to comfort him after the match. Takayama also gave Sakaguchi a cold stare as he did so.

For the last month T2Hide have been trying to solve the problem of Kazuki Hirata’s entrance music. His current song “TOKYO GO” cannot be used on DDT UNIVERSE because DDT does not have the rights to use it. This is horrible news because Hirata’s entire existence lives and dies by that song. Today, Sanshiro Takagi came up with a solution. He and Toru Owashi would sing “TOKYO GO” a cappella during Hirata’s entrance. Hirata hated it and told his teammates he won’t dance to that. However Takagi & Owashi sang it again during the match and it gave Hirata the power boost needed to win. Hirata begged them to stop because the singing was so deadly it would kill them. He then challenged NωA to a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. Takagi stepped in and said they couldn’t challenge for the belts without putting something on the line themselves. They agreed to a stipulation that if NωA beats T2Hide then Kazuki Hirata will be banished from Japan!

After today there are still four active Right To Challenge contracts. The holders were determined in a series of five minute matches with the audience deciding the winners if the time ran out. Both Shigehiro Irie, Keisuke Ishii and Royce Isaacs got their contracts by the fan vote, beating KUDO, Yoshihiko and Antonio Honda respectively. Yoshihiro Takayama choked out Kazusada Higuchi in three minutes to win his contract while Akito tapped out Kouki Iwasaki in under two minutes to kick things off. The contracts are active until the next Sumo Hall show on 20th August.

Iron Man Title In Orlando, Right To Challenge Changes, Double Sweet Death Match

April 3, 2017

This past week in Orlando, the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title went through a series of title changes all around the city. There were many pro wrestling shows held throughout Orlando and the Iron Man Title was seen in several of them. The first title change happened on 30th March when Joey Ryan lost the title to Brandi Rhodes on a WrestlePro show. The show promoter Pat Buck then won the title backstage later in the night. Buck was later pinned by Ryan. So far, so good.

The next day Ryan defended the title in an Over The Top Rope Battle Royal at the WrestleCon Super Show. Ryan was pinned by The Underground Luchador who afterwards revealed himself to be Matt Striker. Ryan, who wasn’t eliminated because it was Over The Top Rope rules only, threw Striker out of the ring to eliminate him and win back the belt. The match ended with Swoggle eliminating Ryan to become champion. Ryan quickly won the belt back but his celebration was then interrupted by The Sandman! One Singapore Cane beating later and The Sandman is champ. Later backstage Swoggle snuck up on a sleeping Sandman and pinned him, then Joey did the same to Swoggle. So at the end of the night, Joey had the belt. Got it? Because it’s going to get a bit more hectic.

Many more changes happened on April Fool’s Day. First, a match between Joey and The Primate at What Culture Pro Wrestling was interrupted by Jack The Jobber pinning Joey to win the title. Joey won the belt back but then lost it to Joe Hendry. However, Hendry declared that he hates comedy wrestling so he threw the belt into a trash bin. An official decision was made to declare the Trash Bin as the new champion! Jack The Jobber pinned the Bin, Joey pinned Jack and then ran off to the WrestleCon Women’s Super Show. While there, Shayna Baszler submitted Joey with an Armbar. Eddie Kingston stole the belt backstage. He was declared the champion when Baszler gave up searching for the belt. Kingston then traded the belt to Joey for some cigarettes.

Sunday was a quiet day in comparison. With all the attention on WrestleMania, there weren’t as many shows being held elsewhere in the city. But in the early hours of the morning Beyond Wrestling was running a midnight show. Joey Ryan was pinned by Joey Janela in a Mixed Tag Match. When the show was over Janela was ambushed by The Invisible Man! So right now at the time of writing, The Invisible Man is your Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion!

2. KUDO Vs Mad Paulie ended in a Double Countout (6:03).
3. Toru Owashi & Shigehiro Irie defeated Makoto Oishi & Shunma Katsumata when Irie pinned Oishi with the Beast Bomber (10:29).
4. Unit Opposition 3 Way Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Soma Takao defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi and Yoshihiro Takayama & Danshoku Dino when HARASHIMA pinned Takanashi with the Somato (11:27).
5. Akito defeated Yasu Urano with the Hanamasa (11:21).
6. Happy Motels Final Match: Konosuke Takeshita, Antonio Honda & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo when Honda submitted Sasaki with the Manjigatame (20:43).

It is all over for Happy Motels. With Konosuke Takeshita taking the throne as the top man in DDT, Antonio Honda felt it was time for everyone to move on. Their final match together with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi included saw them victorious over DAMNATION. As an added treat it was Honda who scored the winning submission. He blocked Daisuke Sasaki’s Hurricanrana and countered it into a Dragon Suplex. When Sasaki kicked out Honda put him in the Manjigatame to make Sasaki tap. Honda said they would build a sexy statue of Hiroshi to celebrate the victory. He then said “April Fool’s!” Honda revealed that he came up with the idea of forming Happy Motel back when he saw Takeshita and Hiroshi wrestle each other. Hiroshi said he now feels lonely without Happy Motels but Honda reminded him that he is a pillar for BASARA and BASARA will always need him. Honda finished by saying even if they weren’t really a motel, they were still able to be happy and make others feel happy. They finished with a group pose and with that, Happy Motels have disbanded.

Something is going on with Akito, there is more to him leaving Smile Squash than just wanting a change in scenery. His match with Yasu Urano featured interference from Daisuke Sasaki and Tetsuya Endo. Sasaki gave Urano a Low Blow while Endo distracted the referee. Akito did not see it happen but still took advantage and pinned Urano with the Hanamasa. Urano offered a handshake after the match but Akito rejected him and stormed out of the ring. When Akito found out about DAMNATION’s interference he thought it was just an April Fool’s joke being played on him.

Yukio Sakaguchi and Yoshihiro Takayama continued fighting each other after the 3 Way Tag Match ended. Meanwhile Smile Squash are still adjusting to life without Akito. Soma Takao suggested that he and HARASHIMA go after the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

Royce Isaacs introduced himself to the audience at the start of the show. He wrestled in last year’s DNA Grand Prix and is happy for the chance to wrestle in DDT. He told the audience he will have exciting matches and they will not forget his name.

There is a change in plans for this year’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere challenge. Instead of a Battle Royal Ladder Match there will instead be five singles matches to determine who wins a contract. The matches are Akito Vs Kouki Iwasaki, Antonio Honda Vs Royce Isaacs, KUDO Vs Shigehiro Irie, Yoshihiro Takayama Vs Kazusada Higuchi and Keisuke Ishii Vs Yoshihiko. Each match will have a five minute time limit and if the time runs out the winner will be chosen by an audience vote.

6. Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Mike Bailey & Guanchulo when Sasaki submitted Guanchulo with the Cross Facelock (11:13).
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) defeated Toru Owashi with a 6 Reverse Horizontal Chop Barrage (19:58).
*V3 for Konosuke Takeshita. Toru Owashi cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

The last of the Right To Challenge Contracts has been used but it resulted in failure for Toru Owashi. After holding on to the contract for almost five months he finally got his KO-D Openweight Title shot against Konosuke Takeshita. He was on the defence from the start when Takeshita Dropkicked him out of the ring but he dodged a Plancha. Takeshita targeted Owashi’s right arm until a Chop battle broke out. Owashi won that and locked in the WAR Special. Another Chop battle ended with Owashi throwing down Takeshita with a Choke Slam. Owashi then hit the Diving Body Press for a nearfall. Takeshita avoided the Power Bomb and threw Lariats to regain control. He hit a Vertical Drop Brainbuster but Owashi kicked out at one! Takeshita hit the Blue Thunder but Owashi kicked out at two. Takeshita hit the German Suplex but Owashi kicked out at two again! Takeshita then hit a Reverse Horizontal Chop and that was the killing blow. “Owashi” chants filled the room when he was helped out to the back but Shuji Ishikawa then appeared. He and Takeshita faced off, confirming the two will fight for the KO-D Title at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2016”. Ishikawa congratulated Takeshita for the victory but also said he will get revenge on his 4 minute loss to him from May at DDT’s biggest stage. DAMNATION will prove they are the best team and he will prove he is the strongest when he robs the belt from Takeshita. Takeshita said the strongest in DDT is the person with the belt and that’s him. He will fight Ishikawa with full force at Sumo Hall.

Daisuke Sasaki felt triumphant when he & Tetsuya Endo defeated Mike Bailey & Guanchulo. He told Bailey there is no use fighting him. He then called out Dick Togo and demanded he appear. Bailey in English replied he didn’t know what to say. Sasaki said (in Japanese) he doesn’t know what Bailey is saying but he should listen because Mother Earth revolves around DAMNATION. Remember that!

Danshoku Dino wanted to kick off Beer Garden week with a toast to his fellow opponents. It was all a ruse and he spat beer on Mizuki Watase to kick off the match. Dino later put mayonnaise in his mouth then gave Watase the Lip Lock to make him submit. LiLiCo rushed into the ring to check on her boyfriend after the match. Dino welcomed her to Beer Garden and offered her a toast for their upcoming “hottest summer” in Sumo Hall. This time the offer was genuine and the two drank during their standoff. In a backstage interview Dino said he is convinced Watase is gay and his relationship with LiLiCo is trying to hide it. Dino will prove it at Sumo Hall.

In a preview of the AJPW Jr. Title Match at Sumo Hall, things went off the rails between Hikaru Sato and Soma Takao. While Atsushi Aoki was tapping out Kouki Iwasaki, Sato also had Takao locked in a Cross Armbreaker submission. Sato refused to let go of the hold when his partner won the match and it had to be broken up. Takao retaliated with a Dropkick and the two began fighting around ringside while their seconds tried to stop them.

Chikara was given his only chance to get rid of the King Of Dark Title before Sumo Hall with a dark match against Sanshiro Takagi. Chikara did well with his Chop heavy offence but was outsmarted when Takagi gave him a Low Dropkick to the legs followed by La Magistral Cradle for the three count. Chikara’s father Mitsuo Momota watched the match from the sidelines and approached Amon Tsurumi with an offer. He wants to wrestle with his son at Sumo Hall and help him lose that cursed championship. Momota doesn’t care that it’s the dark match because he had been a curtain jerker for years!

The list of candidates for this year’s DDT Dramatic General Election was announced at intermission. The field is made up almost entirely of DDT regulars but KAI and Yuko Miyamoto are also included due to their involvement in the KO-D Tag Team Title Match at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2016”. Mitsuo Momota also successfully negotiated Chikara to be included because of Chikara’s King Of Dark reign. The deadline for more candidates to enter is 13th August.

takeshita-beats-miyamoto

There is a lot to talk about concerning the KO-D Openweight Title after today’s show. Konosuke Takeshita went into his title defence against Yuko Miyamoto with only Antonio Honda in his corner. His usual tag partner Tetsuya Endo was absent from ringside after he earlier won a Right To Challenge Contract. Miyamoto handed in his own RTC contract to officially begin the title match. Miyamoto locked in the Manji Cobra and also hit the Fire Thunder and Moonsault but none of those moves could win him the match. Takeshita countered La Magistral Cradle into a Roll Through German Suplex to mark a successful defence.

endo-challenges-takeshita

Takeshita said he enjoyed wrestling Miyamoto and a win over him increases the value of the KO-D Title. He would be happy to wrestle him again numerous times. But now it was time to look to the future. He thought his next title defence will be at Sumo Hall this August. However Endo finally reappeared with his newly won RTC contract. He told “Bamboo-chan” that for two months he’s been happy to see his friend as the KO-D Champion. But from the bottom of his heart it has also been frustrating because he also wants to be the champion! Endo is using his contract for a title match in Korakuen Hall on 17th July! He said he was never able to surpass Takeshita until now. The atmosphere became so tense that Antonio Honda had to come in and strip down to his underwear to end the show on a lighter note.

damnation

Daisuke Sasaki revealed the official name for his unit at the start of the show. He and his pets Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie are now DAMNATION. Sasaki came up with the name when he asked his English teacher the meaning of that word. He was told it is “the state of being in Hell as punishment after death.” For their first act they threatened to make an example out of Amon Tsurumi. Luckily for the GM, Ken Ohka ran out to save him. He said he didn’t care about “Dumb Nation” and when KAI gets here they would take the KO-D Tag Team Titles from them.

kai-tagwin

KAI did show up and they surprised everyone by becoming the new champions! KAI rolled off of Ishikawa to avoid the Doomsday Device then he and Ohka hit a Double Spear of Flame to both Sasaki & Ishikawa. KAI got the three count with the Splash Plancha. Both KAI & Ohka were reduced to tears as they were presented with the belts. Amon Tsurumi told them they will have to defend the belts at “PETER PAN 2016” on 28th August. KAI said he’s already booked that day. He then got confused and said his scheduled booking is for that very show. Tsurumi asked if he can do the title defence. KAI said no, then yes. Ohka said ever since he and KAI teamed together for the first time, a deep bond grew between them.

endo-wins-rtc

Endo won his RTC contract in a 4 Way Elimination Match, eliminating the previous holder Kazusada Higuchi to win the bout. Mad Paulie and Keisuke Ishii were also in the match with Paulie eliminating Ishii first. Higuchi was planning to declare himself the next KO-D challenger if he had won the match and kept the contract.

togo-return

“Insane In The Membrane” was played through the DDT music system for the first time in five years to mark the return of Dick Togo! This was his first match in Japan since his retirement although he had continued to wrestle part-time in South America. With Honda on his side they were able to beat Yasu Urano & Guanchulo with Togo scoring the pin. Togo said this was the best comeback he could hope for, wrestling with his former students Honda, Urano and Guanchulo. Although he felt like he was wrestling five years slower he thinks it will only take two or three more matches to regain his condition. He now looks forward to wrestling Higuchi & Kouki Iwasaki on 17th July. He is determined not to lose to those rookies.

somato-wins

The makeshift team of HARASHIMA, Soma Takao & Azul Dragon were too much for Shuten-dōji to handle. HARASHIMA countered Masa Takanashi’s Takatonic into a Buzzsaw Kick then finished him off with what else? The Somato.

yamashita-triumph

Miyu Yamashita was happy with how her homecoming match turned out. She now wants Tokyo Joshi Pro to run a show in Hakata Star Lane.

kisskiss-bangbang

The DDT Extreme Title was on the line in a passionate Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Death Match. LiLiCo put the title on the line against Makoto Oishi and both of them had their partners stand in opposite corners of the ring. They had to kiss their partner for five seconds to win the match. Easy for LiLiCo because she was with her boyfriend Mizuki Watase. Not so easy for Oishi because his designated partner was Batten Burabura. Oishi took one for the team and tried to kiss Burabura when he could. At one point the referee was knocked out so Oishi’s long kiss didn’t count for ages. Watase then pulled the referee out of the ring before he counted to 5. He aided LiLiCo in Power Bombing Oishi. The champion then locked in the Manjigatame on Oishi while deeply kissing Watase long enough to win the match.

watase-tugofwar

Amon Tsurumi congratulated LiLiCo for the victory and described her kisses like they were from a movie. He told her Danshoku Dino was now the No. 1 Contender for the title and the match will be at “PETER PAN 2016”. Dino came out and called LiLiCo’s relationship with Watase a publicity stunt. He wants Watase to be with him, not LiLiCo! Dino requested his match with LiLiCo to be a Watase Contra Watase match. The winner gets both the DDT Extreme Title and Mizuki Watase! The loser will be prohibited from even laying a finger on Watase ever again.

dino-setup

In the opening match Danshoku Dino used Kazuki Hirata’s dancing powers against him, kissing him multiple times in tune to the “Go! Go! Go! Go!” parts of his music. Hirata was helpless when Dino gave him the Danshoku Driver.

makiitoh-joshi

Maki Itoh from the idol group LinQ appeared with Miyu Yamashita after the intermission. She announced her intentions to wrestle for Tokyo Joshi Pro this year. Itoh has wrestled before in DDT and wanted an opportunity to become a proper pro wrestler. After discussions between her agency and Sanshiro Takagi she is allowed to train in Tokyo Joshi. She is a fan of Nonoko and eventually wants to wrestle like Cutie Suzuki.

5. Kota Umeda defeated KENSO with a Backslide Pin (16:56).
6. Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo defeated MAO & Mizuki Watase when Takeshita pinned Watase with the German Suplex (18:49).

Konosuke Takeshita admitted he was feeling envy over his opponents today. One is now a pop idol and the other is dating LiLiCo. Mizuki Watase said he is approaching the end of his first year as a wrestler and he has yet to win a singles match. He wants to challenge Takeshita for the KO-D Openweight Title when he is strong enough. He then remembered MAO is also a year into his career.

Kota Umeda scored an upset in DNA’s honour when he defeated KENSO. Umeda was hotheaded and eager to put a stop to KENSO’s reign of terror but it was still a big challenge. Umeda kepy kicking out of KENSO’s moves, prompting KENSO to try a Superplex. Umeda pushed him off and hit a Diving Elbow Drop. He then ducked a Lariat and hooked KENSO in a Backslide Pin for the win. KENSO protested to the ref that it wasn’t a three count while Umeda celebrated. Umeda then challenged Kazusada Higuchi to a match to determine who the strongest DNA wrestler is. Meanwhile KENSO will never forgive Sanshiro Takagi for this injustice.

Higuchi has suddenly found himself back in the KO-D Title chase. He now has a Right To Challenge Contract after beating Kouki Iwasaki. Higuchi said he wants to cash it in fair and square against the winner of this Sunday’s KO-D Title match.
