2. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato defeated Tsutomu Oosugi & Gouma when Hiroshi submitted Gouma with the Kesagatame (11:11).
3. FUMA & Yusuke Kubo defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Kubo pinned Kamino with the Death Metal Roll (14:00).
4. Takumi Tsukamoto, Fuminori Abe & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Isami Kodaka, Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita when Tsukamoto pinned Shimomura with the O-Cannon Bomb (16:19).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated Banana Senga with the V Slider (16:47).
*V2 for Ryota Nakatsu.

Ryota Nakatsu jokingly made sure he didn’t break Banana Senga’s jaw this time and kept asking him if his chin was ok after the main event. Senga was angry over losing to Nakatsu and had to be held back by Tsutomu Oosugi. He was told he was getting hot headed before their next match where this time the IRON FIST Tag Titles will be on the line. After Speed Of Sounds left, Nakatsu said he & SAGAT will win the belts on 26th December and he will become a double crown champion! Sparky and SOS later had another confrontation backstage after the show.

Earlier this year Takumi Tsukamoto was a triple crown champion holding the Union MAX Title, the BJW Death Match Title and the obscure CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title. He eventually lost the first two but still has the CCW Title in his possession. Little is known about the origins of the title but Tsukamoto was told it was brought to Japan by Bad News Allen around 20 years ago and other former champions include Shigeo Okumura and Kazuhiko Matsuzaki. It was revived five years ago and Tsukamoto was even part of the tournament to crown the new champion. Daichi Kazato told him he never defends the title so he dared him to put it on the line against him. It took some convincing but in the end Tsukamoto agreed to a title match on 26th December.

This was Minoru Fujita’s first match in BASARA since August. Masahiro Takanashi paused the match to congratulate him on his return from illness. He then hit him with the Rocket Punch.

During Match #2 Kazato and Oosugi got into an endless cycle of Tombstone reversals along the entrance ramp that took them away from ringside and out of their match. They returned to the ring still doing the reversals after Match #4. Oosugi won out by hitting the Tombstone on Kazato and left. Kazato then grabbed a microphone while prone and made his CCW Title challenge to Tsukamoto.

Since Kenta Kobashi will be in attendance to see the D-Ou Grand Prix final, Tetsuya Endo decided to visit him at his gym during the week to get some feedback on his tournament performance. Endo also brought up his plans to create a new unit. He asked Kobashi for advice, citing Kobashi’s experience leading units such as GET and Burning. Kobashi said a unit needs a strategist so Endo’s position would improve if he finds a councilor. Endo immediately asked Kobashi if he could take that role in the unit. Kobashi declined because he is not interested in returning to the ring. He did however invite Endo back to his gym again after the Grand Prix so they could talk more about potential members for Endo’s new unit.

While I’ve been writing up this blog post, all of a sudden DDT sends out a tweet in English hyping up a big mystery name. “That BIG NAME that everyone’s talking about recently will be at DDT 12.26 NEVER MIND 2021 in YOYOGI! Banana Senga scored a big win on the last show when he pinned Isami Kodaka in their tag match. He later stepped up to challenge Ryota Nakatsu next for the Union MAX Title. Around five years ago Nakatsu broke Senga’s jaw in a match and while he accepts the blame over the injury, he doesn’t think he is responsible now to pay for any compensation towards Senga. Instead he is willing to defend the MAX Title against him.

3. Masahiro Takanashi defeated FUMA with the Uwabami (14:58).
4. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (c) defeated Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura when Senga pinned Kodaka with the Cancun Tornado (15:09).

All is good between Sparky after their Union MAX Title match. Ryota Nakatsu said only people who are the same age and on the same team could fight each other like they do. It was a fight to the death but all that separated Nakatsu from SAGAT was a rolling pin. Nakatsu says it is his new move and he wants to call it the Nakaroll.

Speed Of Sounds approached Sparky after the main event. Banana Senga said he has a history with Nakatsu. Five years ago they were supposed to have a singles match but before it took place Nakatsu broke Senga’s jaw in a tag team bout. Senga says Nakatsu owes him a lot of money over it so he should get a MAX Title shot on 14th December. Nakatsu agreed but in return he wants an IRON FIST Tag Titles match with SAGAT against as his partner on 26th December. Senga didn’t want to commit because what if he breaks his jaw again in the MAX Title match? Tsutomu Oosugi encouraged him to win the MAX Title, then they can defend the IRON FIST Titles and then Senga will be a double champion!

During the week Mizuki Watase unexpectedly requested a move from DDT to Ganbare☆Pro. DDT had met with Watase to discuss his plans and all sides agreed to go through with the move as of 25th November. Watase’s match against Yusuke Okada on 5th December will still go ahead and it is now his send-off match from DDT. Watase has wrestled in Ganpro several times and thinks the heat from the fans matches his own temperature. He is grateful to DDT for having him for 6 years including his debut match in Sumo Hall. He hopes to get stronger so the next time he steps in a DDT ring he will return the favour. This move also opens up Watase’s options because he wants to wrestle in other companies, in foreign countries and against various people. If he can get that kind of schedule then he will be able to wrestle the same amount of matches as he would if he stayed in DDT.

Yuka Sakazaki said it is not necessary for their opponents to be human. She brings up the possible pairing of Pokotan & Yoshihiko as potential challengers. She doesn’t know much about TropicaWild because she doesn’t interact much with other joshi promotions. Mizuki however has history with SAKI. They both teamed together for their debut match almost a decade ago! Together they were Buribato♡, the “Brilliant Battle Girls” of LLPW-X.

DDT takes on a Nagoya promotion known as Dera Beppin Pro Wrestling. The company is allegedly the only joshi wrestling promotion in Nagoya and has existed since 2013. It is also named after an adult magazine which is another sign that all is not as it seems. The only wrestler associated with Dera Beppin is Papillon Akemi, a masked wrestler designed to look like a shoujo manga character. If it’s joshi that Akemi wants then joshi is what Akemi will get. Saki Akai is stepping up on the DDT side.

Four squads of wrestlers have been tasked to promote the show across Tokyo. The teams will be scoring points based on how they do. Whoever scores the most at the end of this month will be given a prize from Sanshiro Takagi. One example of scoring points is changing their Twitter banner to an advert for the show, which is what everyone has done this week. Other points involve getting local shops to put up posters, handing out leaflets and selling tickets.

Even though Mizuki doesn’t like to fight against Miyu Yamashita she does have a good win-loss record against her. She has now been full-time with Tokyo Joshi Pro for a year now and wants to carry the promotion on her back. That means she needs to take the Princess Of Princess Title from Yamashita. The champion has been beaten by Mizuki twice this year. During the Tokyo Princess Cup as well as yesterday’s Princess Tag Titles match. She respects her so much that she wants the match to take place on the annual Ittenyon show. There is no better time for Yamashita to avenge those losses.

Hikari Noa will next defend the International Princess Title against the winner of a Battle Royal taking place on 4th December. The participants of the Battle Royal will all be chosen by a fan votes on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. If you are subscribed to WRESTLE UNIVERSE then you can vote here using your name and User ID. Only one vote is allowed per account. Any multiple votes found will invalidate all of your votes. Noa thinks if a wrestler who has not been able to move up a step gets voted into the Battle Royal and wins the title shot, it will be a chance for that person to gain confidence. She will watch the Battle Royal and form her strategy depending on who wins.

Ryota Nakatsu is now a two time Union MAX Champion after beating Takumi Tsukamoto. There was a High Kick in the match that Tsukamoto said blew away all of the memories he had since waking up this morning. The result gives the former champion mixed emotions. He is both extremely disappointed he lost and extremely happy to see Nakatsu as the champion again. He told Nakatsu to make good use of the MAX Title because he will win it back some day. Nakatsu wants to beat Tsukamoto’s reign of six defences so will aim to make seven. SAGAT came out and asked to be the first challenger. It will be Sparky Vs Sparky for the MAX Title!

Speed Of Sounds reclaims the IRON FIST Tag Titles from Astronauts! Teamwork was the key to this result. Tsutomu Oosugi praised his partner Banana Senga for being there at the right time, every time. He said if you ever want to win tag team championships, you have to have Senga as your tag partner. Over on the Astronauts side, Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura agreed that they lost because they wrestled more like two individuals instead of a team. However, Abe thinks Astronauts are still one of the top tag teams around. It’s up to them to start from the beginning again and improve each other as a team.

The UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles now belong to Toru Owashi, Shuji Kondo & Takuya Sugawara. It’s Aagan Iisou reunited! Owashi said the belts mean a lot to them because they were used by Toryumon and El Dorado when they were there. Aagan Iisou now claim management rights over the championship and where it will go next is up to them. Sugawara wrestled in BASARA for the first time and likes what he sees. He’s sure he will show up here again periodically. Owashi also praised Daiki Shimomura for how he has grown in BASARA. Isami Kodaka shares similar thoughts, feeling regret for Shimomura losing his title belt. He and Yuko Miyamoto were also happy to find out Minoru Fujita was in the venue to watch today’s show.

Yasu Urano carried the Fujita Pro Wrestling School flag to the ring for his entrance. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi moved around weirdly on his feet during the match and blamed it on gout. He later turned the match into a singing contest against Gouma.

The shaky mystery of who is behind the Lil Kraken mask is cracking even further. His tag partner Takato Nakano accidentally shouted out “Tetsuo!” when he reached out for a tag during the match.

2. Jacket Double Bout: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Gouma defeated Yusuke Kubo & Daichi Kazato by Referee Stoppage when Hiroshi used the Infinite STO on Kazato (R4 1:58).
3. Masato Kamino defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Lariat (13:15).
4. Fuminori Abe, Takuya Nomura & Yasu Urano defeated Isami Kodaka, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga when Abe submitted Oosugi with the Manjigatame (11:49).
5. Union MAX Next Challenger Decision League – Final: Ryota Nakatsu defeated FUMA with the V Slider (21:02).

Ryota Nakatsu wins the Decision League and will face Takumi Tsukamoto for the Union MAX Title at Korakuen Hall on 24th October! Nakatsu praised FUMA and admitted he could have lost to him today. Nakatsu called out Tsukamoto and called him really strong. Tsukamoto returned the compliment but told him he isn’t going to win the MAX Title from him. Nakatsu told the fans he and Tsukamoto are both 30 years old and they are going to have a passionate fight at Korakuen.

The 6-Man Tag Match was built around two things. The first was the amount of champions involved in the match. Isami Kodaka, Fuminori Abe and Takuya Nomura all entered carrying belts from several different promotions. The second was Astronauts and Speed Of Sounds facing off to see who is stronger. Abe made Tsutomu Oosugi submit to win the match but asked SOS if they could fight them again on 24th October for the IRON FIST Tag Titles. SOS accepted and Banana Senga said they will show Astronauts the true essence of tag team wrestling.

Toru Owashi attacked Isami Kodaka and Daiki Shimomura after Match #3. He almost Choke Slammed Shimomura onto a pile of chairs but was stopped and kicked out of the venue. As Owashi was leaving he told the Sento Minzoku wrestlers to polish the UWA 6-Man Tag Team Title belts every day because his team are coming to take them on 24th October!

Extra stipulations were added to the Jacket Match after every round. The first round was using regular tag rules, the second turned into a Tornado Tag Match and the third round onwards allowed weapons to be used.

Takumi Tsukamoto is now a triple crown champion! He won the CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title from Kohei Kinoshita at a TTT show over the weekend, making him a champion in three promotions now. How a championship that vanished from the Canadian indies a few years ago ended up being revived in Japan, I have no idea.

The same TTT show saw Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari & Shota lose to Guts Ishijima & Speed Of Sounds in a GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. That was Ganbare☆Pro’s last chance to take the titles away from Ishijima again so that looks to be the end of that championship in Ganpro.

Yesterday THE HALFEE defended the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles at a TTT show in Shinjuku FACE. They lost the title match to the combination of Guts Ishijima & Speed Of Sounds (together they are called Guts Of Sounds). To be fair the championships originally belonged to Ishijima back when Guts World was around so it is only fitting that he eventually got them back for his current promotion. He straight up claims the belts are his family heirlooms. However, Ken Ohka was in attendance to support THE HALFEE and he challenged the new champions for the belts next month. Ishijima accepted and later said he wants to seal the championship after he clears out Ohka’s team.

So for now Ganpro no longer has any championships they can use for title matches on their own shows. That might not last long because some of the wrestlers in the Ganpro Mixed Tag Tournament heard rumours of a brand new Mixed Tag Team Championship being rewarded to the winners. I mean it is about time that Ganpro has a championship to call its own. A Mixed Tag Title would clearly stand out on the indies scene over there.

This week she suddenly started tweeting daily, counting down the days “until the beginning of history”. The countdown ends this weekend but not exactly towards the TJPW shows. The reveal may turn out to be something other than a return to TJPW or even pro wrestling so we just have to wait and see.

Over in NOAH their big match for “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” has been decided. It’s Keiji Muto versus Naomichi Marufuji for the GHC Heavyweight Title! So far the match listing on the DDT website suggests that the KO-D Openweight Title match will close out the show but nothing has been confirmed yet. NOAH’s website only lists the matches they are involved in.
