7. DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT!: Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Puma King Vs HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura

A few injuries during the week alters tomorrow’s card. The light one is Sanshiro Takagi. He injured his right eye and is missing this show. He will be getting it further examined next week but hopes to be clear for Masahiro Takanashi’s show on the 15th. Gorgeous Matsuno took it upon himself to replace Takagi in Match #2.

The bad injury happened to Kazusada Higuchi during yesterday’s “UNIVERSE.1” show. He tore his right PCL and has no timetable for a return. He does not need surgery and will be aiming to recover as soon as possible. Ryota Nakatsu takes Higuchi’s place in Match #3.

DDT “CAMPSITE PRO WRESTLING 2019 ~THE PROMISED NATURE LAND~”, 08/09/2019
Yamanashi Natureland Om

1. Falls Count Anywhere 5 Way 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Yukio Sakaguchi & Antonio Honda Vs Konosuke Takeshita, MAO & Yuki Ueno Vs Shuichiro Katsumura, Ken Ohka & Keisuke Ishii Vs Isami Kodaka, FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Yuna Manase, Yuki Kamifuku & Mina Shirakawa

Sadly this means Higuchi will be missing the campsite match as well. Yukio Sakaguchi replaces him here. Also SAGAT is sick with the flu so he is being substituted with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi.

BASARA “BASARA 105 ~THE 2nd FOX PRINCE~”, 14/09/2019
Tokyo Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR

1. Ryota Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa Vs Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Masato Kamino
2. Sakigake!! Iron Family Special Rules – Give Up Only Match: Yusuke Kubo Vs Daichi Kazato

Takato Nakano approached Sento Minzoku asking for a UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles shot. He gathered together Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano to be his partners.

Hopefully SAGAT will be well again in time for his Last Man Standing match.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “KFC 2 DAYS ’19 ~TEMPLE OF THE SUN~”, 15/09/2019
Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall

1. 3 Way Match: Nodoka Tenma Vs Himawari Unagi Vs Pom Harajuku
2. Yuki Aino & YUMI Vs Raku & Mahiro Kiryu
3. Rika Tatsumi Vs Suzume
4. Miyu Yamashita Vs Mirai Maiumi
5. Miu Watanabe Vs Hikari Noa
6. Natsumi Maki, Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Yuna Manase, Maki Itoh & Mina Shirakawa
7. Sakisama Vs Yuki Kamifuku
8. Princess Of Princess Title: Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Misao

With the new 2nd Gen belt over her shoulder, Shoko Nakajima is now even more motivated to defend the Princess Title. Her next challenger is the wrestler who has by far progressed the most among the roster this year, Misao. Ever since Misao shed her superhero persona and joined NEO Biishiki-gun she has gone from strength to strength.

I wonder if Sakisama holds a grudge with Yuki Kamifuku over her attempt to join NEO Biishiki-gun last year? Kamifuku joined the unit as an apprentice last May then quit after two weeks when she figured out it was a bad fit for her.

Miu Watanabe Vs Hikari Noa is a match to watch out for. The two members of the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) have developed so much in the ring this year and part of the reason why is they branched out to other tag teams outside of their unit (Momoiro Sparkling for Watanabe and Pandemic Boo-Boo for Noa). Gotta be honest here, I think Raku is in danger of never catching up to them.

DDT “DRAMATIC SAINT INN☆ONISAN 2019”, 16/09/2019
Okayama Saint Inn Kurashiki

1. OPG Offer Match: Gota Ihashi, Great Mutiger & Yunosuke Vs Takuya Yamauchi, Tomoya Uehara & Scoville
2. Tomomitsu Matsunaga Vs Hiroshi Yamato
3. Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Danshoku Dieno & Yukio Sakaguchi
4. Cody Hall & Antonio Honda Vs Makoto Oishi & Yukio Naya
5. Mizuki Watase Marunage Match ~ Advent Of God!! Falls Count Anywhere In Kurashiki Hardcore 6-Man Tag Match: Mizuki Watase, MAO & Asuka Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Kazusada Higuchi & Shunma Katsumata
6. DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT!: Soma Takao & Nobuhiro Shimatani Vs Konosuke Takeshita & Akito
7. Kurashiki Specialty Beauty Area Special 6-Man Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie Vs HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura

HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo continue their feud. The danger here is they could do so much damage to each other that there won’t be much left for Jiro Kuroshio to deal with at the end of the month.

No word yet on who will replace Higuchi in the Marunage match.

Gota Ihashi gets his Oretachi Pro Wrestling buddies into the opener.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “KFC 2 DAYS ’19 ~DESERT MOON~”, 16/09/2019
Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall

1. Mahiro Kiryu Vs Mirai Maiumi

3. Miyu Yamashita & Himawari Unagi Vs Yuki Kamifuku & Mina Shirakawa

5. Yuka Sakazaki, Yuki Aino & Pom Harajuku Vs Miu Watanabe, Hikari Noa & Raku
6. Shoko Nakajima & Mizuki Vs Dalys & Nodoka Tenma
7. International Princess Title: Natsumi Maki (c) Vs Yuna Manase

Natsumi Maki and Yuna Manase kind of have a sisterly relationship going back to their early years in Actwres girl’Z (am I allowed to mention that place?). Manase pinned Maki in Maki’s first match since becoming the International Princess Champion so obviously Manase gets the first shot.

CMLL luchadora Dalys makes her Tokyo Joshi debut. The 10 year veteran from Panama is being thrown right into the top card mix.

Yuki Iino is done filming his rugby TV show. He comes back to go after the KO-D Tag Team Titles with Akito.

Asuka, Hiroshi Yamato and Cody Hall will be on the show.

To really make this an Ultimate Party, Konosuke Takeshita wants to defend the KO-D Openweight Title against the DDT Extreme Champion in a double title match! Right now the Extreme Champ in Jiro Kuroshio. All he has to do is get past HARASHIMA and Endo in the 3 Way Match. Easier said than done.

5. O-40 Title – Recycling Death Match: Sanshiro Takagi (c) defeated Ken Ohka with the Himawari Bomb onto a plastic case (12:40).
*V1 for Sanshiro Takagi.
6. DAMNATION Vs DISASTER BOX!: Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo defeated Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura when Ishikawa pinned Yoshimura with the Fire Thunder (17:08).
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) defeated Jiro Kuroshio & Kazusada Higuchi when Sasaki submitted Kuroshio with the Crossover Face Lock (17:22).
*V6 for DAMNATION.
8. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) defeated Shinya Aoki by TKO with the Walls Of Takeshita (16:45).
*V2 for Konosuke Takeshita.

Just like in their last singles match, Konosuke Takeshita decided to wrestle barefoot against Shinya Aoki. Takeshita went for the Walls Of Takeshita but Aoki positioned himself into a Triangle Choke. Takeshita powered out of the move by lifting up and slamming down Aoki. He then reapplied the Walls Of Takeshita and kept the pressure until Aoki went unresponsive. Yukinori Matsui stopped the match and declared Takeshita the winner.

Takeshita expressed his sincere gratitude to Aoki after the match. He was then told that the next KO-D Openweight Title defence will be at Sumo Hall on 3rd November. No challenger was decided yet so Takeshita had an idea. Since “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019!” is bringing together all of the DDT brands, he wants to find out who the absolute best wrestler in DDT is. That means the KO-D Champion and the DDT Extreme Champion should face off in a double title match! Hisaya Imabayashi reminded him that the current Extreme Champion Jiro Kuroshio is defending the title against HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo in a 3 Way Match on 29th September. They confirmed that the winner and champion coming out of that match will face Takeshita in Sumo Hall.

Sadly for Kuroshio he didn’t add the KO-D Tag Team Titles to his possessions. He and his “brother” Kazusada Higuchi were defeated by DAMNATION. Higuchi got rid of Soma Takao and left Ikemen to seal the deal. Kuroshio blocked Daisuke Sasaki’s La Mistica Cross Facelock and turned it into a Tombstone Piledriver. However Ikemen’s Moonsault ended badly when Sasaki caught him and applied the Crossover Face Lock for the submission win. Akito came out and challenged DAMNATION for the Tag Titles on 29th September. His partner is the “TV Star” Yuki Iino! He has been away from wrestling the last few months working on a TV drama called No Side Game.

Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura are now called Nautilus. The team impressed Shuji Ishikawa, he called them amazing talents. He also likes tagging with Tetsuya Endo and suggested the idea of the two of them facing off against Sasaki & Takao sometime.

The Recycling Death Match featured plenty of items from DDT’s history. A lot of it was trash left around in storage but some of the items do have some history to them. There was the dojo’s vacuum cleaner from 2015, an office heater from 2016, plastic cases from this year, the bear traps from the 2018 Super Sasadango Machine Vs Jiro Kuroshio match, 200 empty beer cans that they never threw out after one of this year’s earlier Beer Garden shows, Mecha Mummy’s weapons from 2006 and finally a big electric signboard T that was part of a stage prop from DDT’s first ever Sumo Hall show back in 2009. The last one still works. Sanshiro Takagi threw Ken Ohka onto the T with the Spicolli Driver then pinned him with the Himawari Bomb through a plastic case. Takagi and Ohka agreed to repair the T and use it at next year’s Saitama Super Arena show.

The pairing of Danshoku Dieno & Maku Donaruto acted exactly how we thought they would. They got their hands all over Akito & Shunma Katsumata until Yukinori Matsui called off the match.

MAO brought along the two glass globes he has earned so far from the Tenkaichi Jr. tournament in ZERO1. He and HARASHIMA defeated Jun Masaoka & Kohei Kinoshita. HARASHIMA commiserated his opponents afterwards.

Yuni was able to pin Puma King with a Hurricanrana because all of the other wrestlers in the Battle Royal piled on top of them. Yuni was declared the new Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion but Kazuki Hirata quickly pinned him with the Egoist Driver to win the belt. Saki Akai won it next then Asuka pinned her with the ASUKA FANTASY to win both the title and the Battle Royal itself. Hirata got the belt back after the match with a School Boy then Puma King got the last title switch with the Puma Kingdom.

The debuting Cody Hall showed his strength by throwing around Yukio Sakaguchi, Lariating Yukio Naya and pinning Mizuki Watase with the Thunder Buster.

5. I Don’t Know If It Is A Lie Or A True Ghost Story Shin Numabukuro 5 Way Death Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Makoto Oishi Vs Hiroshi Yamato Vs Yukio Naya Vs Su Yung ended in a Time Limit Draw (3:00).
6. Special Single Match ~Gongitsune Vs Cobra~: Santino Marella defeated Antonio Honda with the Cobra (13:25).
7. HARASHIMA, Yukio Sakaguchi & Ken Ohka defeated Konosuke Takeshita, MAO & Nobuhiro Shimatani when HARASHIMA pinned Shimatani with the Somato (17:54).

The summer has come to an end so DDT spent their final days of the season running one more Beer Garden show. The main event finish saw Nobuhiro Shimatani take the finishers from every member of the opposing team. The show ended with the DDT roster minus DAMNATION all having a toast inside the ring. HARASHIMA called on the fans to look forward to DDT’s next Korakuen Hall and Sumo Hall shows. Kazuki Hirata danced to “TOKYO GO!” until Ken Ohka hit him with the Fire Spear. Ohka told everyone that they have to continue fighting, even the wrestlers from BASARA and Ganbare☆Wrestling. It turns out NOAH is running Sumo Hall the day before “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019!” and Big Japan will be the day after. There is a wrestling world war going on and Ohka wants to win it!

Antonio Honda came prepared for his clash with Santino Marella and his dreaded Cobra but it had to be a last ditch plan. When Marella used the Cobra to strike Honda in his Gongitsune arm, Honda pulled out a recorder and played a snake charming song to make Marella lose control of the Cobra. Then Honda took out his secret weapon, a Gon The Fox hand puppet! The Fox bit the Cobra, leaving Honda in a weakened state. Honda went for the Shining Gongitsune but Marella caught him with the Cobra strike to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Honda told Marella that he wanted the Fox to eat the Cobra but it couldn’t because half of Marella’s heart is in Canada but the other half is in Japan! Marella told everyone that he learned Judo in Koshigaya, Saitama years ago. He is a retired pro wrestler but was happy to get the chance to unleash the Cobra in his second home.

Yukio Naya was the only person new to the spooky storytelling of the Shin Numabukuro Death Match. When he learned that a ghost story would be told if the match didn’t end in three minutes, he told everyone that he gets scared easily. Things were made even scarier when Su Yung entered the ring! The match was now a 5 Way and if it ended in three minutes then Yung would eat everyone! She attacked the trainee Keigo Nakamura and dragged him away from ringside. When she came back out she was carrying Nakamura’s detached arm! The three minutes ran out and everyone was terrified they were about to get eaten. Hisaya Imabayashi then revealed that this was the scary story! The fear of getting eaten by a zombie was exactly the kind of reaction he wanted to get this year. Danshoku Dieno asked if that meant no one would get eaten? Imabayashi said Yung could still eat somebody and he suddenly pointed at Dieno, making him faint. He then pointed at the others one by one, causing them all to faint. But when he pointed at Yung she didn’t react. Imabayashi woke everyone up and together they all pointed at Yung to defeat her. Imabayashi said the world is now protected and “Wild Thing” played over the sound system. But when he left the ring, zombie Nakamura appeared and ate him!

Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao came to the ring drinking beer. They said that due to demands from a “third party” their match against Jiro Kuroshio & Kazusada Higuchi is now a Drunk Match sponsored by Budweiser. A wrestler had to take a drink after a kick out or a rope break. Also everyone had to take a drink whenever music played. As the wrestlers got drunker, Sasaki and Takao got more and more into calling themselves Higuchi’s dad. Higuchi got drunk enough to consider it was possible and he ended up fighting Kuroshio instead. However he snapped out of it and used an Airplane Spin variation of the Doctor Bomb to pin Sasaki.

Toru Owashi asked for his tag match to be held under Lucha Rules. Puma King replied in Spanish and Yuki Ueno badly translated it. He said King called him “the nice guy in the white costume” and King called Owashi a “black pig”. Owashi later got mad at Tetsuya Endo and Yuki Ueno for doing a regular lock-up instead of lucha transitions. They began to trade Arm Drags until Yukinori Matsui got involved. Matsui did one and Endo punched him in the stomach afterwards. Owashi put Endo in the Paradise Lock then King put Owashi in the Paradise Lock. Ueno tried to do the move to King but didn’t know how to do it. King put Ueno in a Romero Special but Owashi crawled on top of King for a pin. Endo broke the pin, gave an Overhead Kick to Ueno and pinned him with La Magistral Cradle.

The Blindfold 3 Way match saw Kazuki Hirata and then Masahiro Takanashi both attack Keigo Nakamura outside the ring, knocking off his glasses in the process. Hirata picked up the glasses thinking they were his HIRATA GO glasses. He put them on but the music that played was “TOKIO” by Kenji Sawada. Mad Paulie found the HIRATA GO glasses and the usual “TOKYO GO” music played when he put them on. He struck Hirata while they danced and got the win with the Paulie Buster.

Gisele Shaw’s DDT debut was a successful one, teaming with Naomi Yoshimura & Saki Akai to defeat Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Asuka.

The Recycling Death Match will involve weapons and items used in previous DDT and Ganbare☆Wrestling matches that were just left lying around in storage afterwards. An example was used by Sanshiro Takagi when he kept a chair he used at the TAKAYAMANIA show from earlier this week. Ohka’s example is the jacket and ten gallon hat he wore during his absence from Ganpro shows last year.

Cody Hall is the mystery wrestler in the opener. He met Antonio Honda and got along with him because the Gongitsune hand gesture resembles the Wolfpac gesture that Cody’s dad Scott Hall is known for.

1. DDT Extreme Title – 3 Way Match: Jiro Kuroshio (c) Vs HARASHIMA Vs Tetsuya Endo

The grudge between HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo has gotten both of them a title match. They wanted the next shot at the DDT Extreme Title but got in each other’s way. Jiro Kuroshio doesn’t want to wait for a single challenger to be determined so he decided to face both of them at the same time.

BOYZ “(BRAND NEW) BOYZ 1 -DDT SPECIAL EDITION-”, 20/10/2019
Tokyo Belle Epoque Beauty School 2nd School Hall

1. Plump BOYZ: Nobuhiro Shimatani Vs Kouki Iwasaki
2. MAO UK Expedition BOYZ Send Off Match: Konosuke Takeshita Vs MAO
3. Yukihero Pro Wrestling Collaboration Match: Shunma Katsumata & Mizuki Watase Vs Kazuki Hirata & Hiroshi Yamato

The BOYZ brand is getting a fresh start under Akito’s management. Wrestlers booked on the first show will also be appearing at the SHIBUYA FASHION AWARD-BE Vint-Age 2019 festival the same day to promote a fashion brand called Yukihero Pro Wrestling. The main event will feature the wrestlers involved wearing costumes from that clothing line.

Akito doesn’t remember ever seeing MAO wrestle Takeshita in a singles match so he decided to book it before MAO’s excursion. Kouki Iwasaki is being booked on BOYZ because Akito wants to see him interact with DDT wrestlers more often. Higuchi and Yuki Iino are also being booked despite their alliance to the YaroZ brand. Akito believes there are women at these shows who find those kind of men attractive too. Akito plans to present them in a way that makes them more suitable for the BOYZ brand. DAMNATION wrestlers are disallowed except for Nobuhiro Shimatani because he works under Akito at the Drop Kick Bar.

81 wrestlers in total have been booked for the show and each promotion’s main championship will be defended in their own matches.

Kenny Omega returns to wrestle in DDT after a five year absence. A lot has changed since then but for now the people he wanted in his match are his biggest rival (Honda), his first tag partner (Riho, not “him”) and the wrestler who possibly might have caught his attention the most (Miyu Yamashita). Will there be more coming out of this? Wouldn’t be a party without surprises, would it?

5. Summer Jumbo Special Two Big Singles Match: Shinya Aoki defeated Makoto Oishi with a European Clutch (8:30).
6. HARASHIMA & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Soma Takao & Tetsuya Endo when HARASHIMA pinned Endo with a Modified Jackknife Pin (13:17).
7. Konosuke Takeshita’s Summer Measures Against Shinya Aoki!: Konosuke Takeshita, Yukio Sakaguchi, Sanshiro Takagi & Antonio Honda defeated Danshoku Dieno, Super Sasadango Machine, MAO & Santino Marella when Takeshita pinned Sasadango with a Cradle (12:25).
8. DDT Extreme Title – Ladder Match: Jiro Kuroshio (c) defeated Daisuke Sasaki when Kuroshio grabbed the title belt (21:43).
*V1 for Jiro Kuroshio.

In the days leading up to the show, all Jiro Kuroshio said for his DDT Extreme Title defence against Daisuke Sasaki was it would be a Ladder Match. When the belt was handed over to be hung above the ring, the match began and it didn’t take long for more than one ladder to be brought in. One ladder was lodged into the other horizontally with the other end placed on the middle rope. Kuroshio ended up Power Bombing Sasaki onto that ladder. But Sasaki got some big help when he put Kuroshio in La Mistica Crossface Lock. When Kuroshio reached over and grabbed the rope, Nobuhiro Shimatani used wrist tape to stick Kuroshio’s hand to it. Help for Kuroshio came when his “brother” Kazusada Higuchi cut him free from the tape so he could stop Sasaki from grabbing the belt. Kuroshio grabbed Sasaki and put him through a table with an Avalanche Death Valley Driver! Another table was placed on top of both ladders beneath the belt. Sasaki tried to give Kuroshio the Pedigree onto it but Kuroshio countered it with the Implant. He must of had faith that the table wouldn’t break because it was still in one piece and stable enough for Kuroshio to pull down the belt and win the match.

Kuroshio celebrated his first title defence and told everyone today is his first main event in Korakuen Hall as a freelancer. He was told his next defence is scheduled for 29th September. Both Tetsuya Endo and HARASHIMA stepped into the ring both asking for a title shot. Endo said he beat Kuroshio in the first D-Ou Grand Prix while HARASHIMA is interested in becoming the Extreme Champion again. Hisaya Imabayashi offered to make a No. 1 Contender match but instead Kuroshio asked for a 3 Way Match!

If the semi-main event was supposed to prepare Konosuke Takeshita for next week’s KO-D Openweight Title defence, you wouldn’t have noticed. Danshoku Dieno claimed that everyone in the match was picked to hone Takeshita’s skills, especially Santino Marella with his judo background. But when the match went ahead nobody would tag in Takeshita. MAO fought with Sanshiro Takagi but all the attention moved to Marella facing off against Antonio Honda. To be more clear, the attention was on The Cobra against Gongitsune! The Cobra struck first but Gongitsune got Marella in the eyes. Takeshita finally tagged in when he made his own Gongitsune hand sign to get Honda’s attention. Dieno positioned himself in the corner to open up Hell’s Gate and the Cobra was thrown into it. The result was Marella’s Cobra going out of control until Super Sasadango Machine threw his mask over it and encouraged everyone else to pull down their tights and throw them on top too. Even Yukio Sakaguchi agreed to help out that way. But the Cobra burst out and struck Sasadango. Takeshita took advantage and pinned Sasadango to win.

After the match Honda told Marella that his fox wants to eat the cobra. Marella called him crazy if he thinks the fox can beat the cobra. A match between Honda and Marella will now take place on 30th August. Next up Pokotan suddenly appeared on the ring apron gesturing for Takeshita’s attention. It was a distraction and Shinya Aoki ambushed Takeshita from the other side with a Sleeper Hold. Aoki choked out Takeshita and took a picture of his unconscious body with his phone.

The hatred between HARASHIMA and Endo grew larger when HARASHIMA pinned Endo in their tag match. It looked like it was going to be a DAMNATION victory when Endo put HARASHIMA in the Modified Yurikamome Hold. Soma Takao had Higuchi held back but couldn’t do anything when HARASHIMA suddenly countered Endo’s submission hold into a Jackknife Pin for the surprise three count. Endo attacked HARASHIMA after the match and got some stomps in.

Aoki had a respectful match with Makoto Oishi. He went hold for hold with him in a match that was mostly kept on the mat. Oishi even surprised Aoki with some escapes. The end came with Aoki catching Oishi with a European Clutch, a move that Oishi himself has used to win matches. Oishi was disappointed with the loss but will leave it up to Takeshita to beat Aoki on 1st September.

Nothing could prepare Asuka & Makoto for the horrors they were about to face. From the moment the demonic pair of Saki & Su Yung entered the ring, things got scary. They cared more for trying to bite and eat their opponents than wrestle them. Yung blinded Asuka with Poison Mist then Daisuke Kiso tried to break things up. Saki & Yung responded by biting Kiso’s arms, causing a disqualification. Saki & Yung then turned their attention on the trainees and attendants at ringside, assaulting them with bites and Poison Mist.

“The Coolest Cat” is now the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion! When Puma King made his entrance, he climbed the entrance gate and stayed there waiting for Yuki Ueno to come out. He then jumped onto Ueno during his entrance. In the ring Puma King blocked Ueno on the top rope and hit an Avalanche Power Bomb for the victory. Puma King said his title win today means he is the best. His next goal is to win the KO-D Title because he is the best! Ueno said backstage that he will try to win the title back when Puma King falls asleep. The only problem is he doesn’t know what hotel Puma King is staying at.

The masked snack wrestlers King Potato Chips & Dragon Potato Mask returned for their second match in DDT. This time they were joined by Noriyuki Ishibashi, the Frito Lay employee who created the gimmicks. He also went to university with Antonio Honda who was definitely not part of this match. Kazuki Hirata decided to take Ishibashi hostage during the match but Dragon Potato Mask calmed down the situation by telling a story. Time slowed down as Hirata and Ishibashi leaned towards each other for a kiss but Hiroshi Yamato broke them up. The snack wrestlers hit Double Bionic Elbows and Dragon Potato Mask made Hirata submit to the Dragon Potato Sleeper. The winning team was awarded with a year’s worth of Calbee and Frito Lay snacks.

A chaotic 4 Way Tag opener was won by Akito & Shunma Katsumata. Akito used the Gourdbuster/Moai Of Easter on Shimatani and Katsumata finished him off with the ¡Hasta la vista!

Some big announcements were made for “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019!” at Sumo Hall on 3rd November. A grand total of 81 wrestlers representing all forms of DDT were revealed to be on the show. The biggest surprise is the return of Kenny Omega! He & Riho will take on Miyu Yamashita & Antonio Honda in a match that Omega himself requested. He calls Honda one of his biggest rivals, refers to Riho as his first tag partner (“Even before him”) and is excited to see Yamashita for himself.

Antonio Honda announced that his mystery partner for 1st September is Cody Hall! He explained that Hall loves his Gongitsune hand sign.  Imabayashi had to explain to Honda that Gongitsune resembles the “Too Sweet” hand gesture that Cody’s father Scott Hall is famous for. Hall agreed and said he went with Honda because he saw the Wolfpac sign.

MAO announced he will be going on an overseas excursion to England at the end of October. He does not have an exact date for his return but he expects to be gone for the rest of the year. He promised not to immediately quit DDT when he comes back.

Replacing them are Pero Pero Master the Hulk Hogan impersonation that wrestled at “ALL DOIN” last year, Daniel Nobryan who is not Daniel Bryan, the mysterious Poro Poro Master and M Samurai the plastic bag masked wrestler who once appeared in DDT back in 2013.

DDT “DRAMATIC SAINT INN☆ONISAN 2019”, 16/09/2019
Okayama Saint Inn Kurashiki

1. Mizuki Watase Marunage Match ~ Advent Of God!! Falls Count Anywhere In Kurashiki Hardcore 6-Man Tag Match: Mizuki Watase, MAO & Asuka Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Kazusada Higuchi & Shunma Katsumata

There is this one person in Okayama who always comes to see DDT when they’re in the area and always buys a t-shirt. The DDT staff likes to call him God as a joke because of this. Mizuki Watase is dedicating his Marunage match to this person and was told he can do whatever he wants as long as it does not involve oil or gasoline. So Watase has come up with a Falls Count Anywhere 6-Man Tag Match. He likes Hardcore wrestling just as much as MAO and Asuka does so the three of them will team together. Watase is also thinking of creating his own battle cycle to combat Sanshiro Takagi’s Dramatic Dream bike.

Names advertised for the show include Great Mutiger, Takuya Yamauchi, Scoville and Yunosuke. They are all from a micro indy promotion that Gota Ihashi was once a part of called Oretachi Pro Wrestling. Mutiger wrestled in DDT before back in 2017.

Shizuoka Create Hamamatsu Hall

1. Daisuke Kiso Referee Marunage Match ~ Jump Out The Head Of The Future Variety Team Leader: Toru Owashi Vs Kazusada Higuchi Vs Shunma Katsumata Vs MAO Vs Yuki Ueno Vs Naomi Yoshimura

Daisuke Kiso has been thinking about the future of DDT, particularly who from the new generation will end up being the leader of their group. The day will come when the likes of Takagi, Honda, Dieno, Super Sasadango Machine and HARASHIMA won’t be around. So Kiso has chosen five wrestlers he sees are the future of the company to do something with Toru Owashi. However Kiso has not decided on what the match will be yet. He is considering a 5 Vs 1 Handicap Match. It’s either that or a match between Daisuke Sasaki and Miyako Matsumoto held on the side of a cliff.

1. Hiroshi Yamato defeated Nobuhiro Shimatani with the Fisherman Suplex (10:35).
2. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Biwajima Specialty! Kishimen, Hitabushi, Doteni, Miso 4 Way Match: Masahiro Takanashi defeated Yuki Ueno (c), Mad Paulie and Makoto Oishi when Takanashi pinned Ueno with a School Boy (8:13).
*Masahiro Takanashi becomes the 1,403rd champion.
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Makoto Oishi defeated Masahiro Takanashi (c) with a Backslide Pin (1:31 pm).
*Makoto Oishi becomes the 1,404th champion.
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Yuki Ueno defeated Makoto Oishi (c) with a Diving Body Press (1:32 pm).
*Yuki Ueno becomes the 1,405th champion.
3. Toru Owashi & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Mizuki Watase when Owashi pinned Watase with the Shonenba (10:38).
4. Shunma Katsumata Marunage Match – Toy Block Hardcore Match: MAO defeated Shunma Katsumata with the Cannonball 450° through the plastic case filled with toy blocks.
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Makoto Oishi defeated Yuki Ueno (c) with a Manjigatame (2:23 pm).
*Makoto Oishi becomes the 1,406th champion.
5. Lucha Libre Rules: Konosuke Takeshita & Akito defeated Antonio Honda & Intelligence Sensational Grand Passion Mask #4 when Takeshita pinned Honda with a School Boy (16:39).
6. Nagoya Specialty! Special 6-Man Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao & Tetsuya Endo defeated HARASHIMA, Kazuki Hirata & Kazusada Higuchi when Endo submitted Hirata with the Modified Yurikamome Hold (18:20).
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Yuki Ueno defeated Makoto Oishi (c) with a Concrete Block Strike (3:26 pm).
*Yuki Ueno becomes the 1,407th champion.

Daisuke Sasaki kept distracting Kazusada Higuchi by telling him he was his daddy. It got to the point where Higuchi lowered his guard when his “daddy” asked for a hug only for Soma Takao to attack him from behind. Tetsuya Endo made Kazuki Hirata submit to the Modified Yurikamome Hold while Sasaki held HARASHIMA in place with the Crossface Lock. After the match Endo gave HARASHIMA a Dropkick and insulted him for failing to protect his friends. Sasaki joked about Higuchi acting rebellious today but is slowly coming around to accepting who is daddy is. The DAMNATION members then congratulated Endo for finishing in 3rd place at a Best Body Japan contest in Yamagata yesterday.

All four wrestlers in the semi-main event ended up getting stripped down to their underwear as the match went on. What a way for Konosuke Takeshita to celebrate the 7th anniversary of his debut wrestling match! He offered to have a singles match with Intelligence Sensational Grand Passion Mask #4 some day.

Shunma Katsumata brought along buckets of toy blocks and MAO brought his concrete blocks for their death match. The ring filled with the toy blocks when the wrestlers spilled the buckets over each other. The concrete blocks came into play when MAO placed them on top of Katsumata’s chest then hit a Hollywood Star Press onto them. Katsumata got his own back by giving MAO a Facecrusher onto the bricks. The ending had MAO filled a plastic case with toy blocks, place it on top of Katsumata and then crash through them onto Katsumata with the Cannonball 450°. MAO said he will never lose to Katsumata but he enjoys wrestling him in fun matches like these so they should do more.

Here’s the latest shenanigans over the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. The first change happened when Masahiro Takanashi won the 4 Way Match. Makoto Oishi pinned him after the match to win the belt only for Yuki Ueno to hit a Diving Body Press out of nowhere to be the champion again. Oishi attacked Ueno during intermission and won the title with an Octopus Hold. Then at the end of the show Ueno knocked out Oishi with one of the concrete bricks to take back the title. Keigo Nakamura tried to attack Ueno for the belt but couldn’t get the job done.

2. Kazuki Hirata Marunage Match: Kenshin Chikano & Rey Paloma defeated Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata (w/ Sanshiro Takagi) when Paloma pinned Hirata with a Backslide Pin (11:45).
3. The Last Time Was Only A Signing Event, Danshoku Dieno Will Wrestle In Hiroshima For The First Time In A Year And Two Months 3 Way Match: Antonio Honda defeated Danshoku Dieno and Akito when Honda pinned Dieno with a Rope Assisted Pin (8:55).
4. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Yuki Ueno (c) with an Arm Trapped Triangle Choke (9:50).

5. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata defeated Makoto Oishi & Masahiro Takanashi when Katsumata pinned Oishi with the ¡Hasta la vista! (8:09).
6. Hiroshima Specialty! Special 6-Man Tag Team Match: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazusada Higuchi when Sasaki submitted Yoshimura with La Mistica Cross Facelock (15:29).

The DAMNATION wrestlers threw out insults at their opponents after the main event. Daisuke Sasaki continued calling himself Kazusada Higuchi’s dad because he slept with Higuchi’s “bitch mom” back when Sasaki was three years old. Meanwhile Tetsuya Endo tried to provoke HARASHIMA by telling him to stop getting angry. Endo then blew off the interaction by telling Sasaki he doesn’t have feelings of any kind for HARASHIMA.

Yukio Sakaguchi regained the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from Yuki Ueno. Sakaguchi said that he is not getting closer to the belt. Instead it is the belt coming closer to him. Ueno attempted to ambush Sakaguchi at the end of the show but failed to win back the title.

Danshoku Dieno declared that the hero of Hiroshima has come back to wrestle in his hometown for the first time in a year and two months. He promised not to lose because a defeat for Dieno is also a defeat for Hiroshima. He asked his opponents if they could do a Three Arrows match. It is a 3 Way Match where only two wrestlers are allowed in the ring. The third wrestler has to wait on the apron and either tag in or wait until one of his opponents leaves the ring. Akito and Antonio Honda agreed to the rules then knocked Dieno out of the ring to start the match. The match ended when Akito took Dieno’s Lip Lock, then Honda rolled Dieno into a pin and used the ropes for leverage.

Kazuki Hirata successfully hitchhiked from Tokyo all the way to Hiroshima in time to wrestle on the show. In fact he was the first to arrive at the venue because DDT’s company bus got held up in traffic earlier in the day (the show started late as a result). Hirata ended up losing the match for his team but still received praise from the others for his hitchhiking achievement.

Tomomitsu Matsunaga was the referee for some of the matches.

The second half of today’s Shinjuku FACE double header was DDT hosting the final show of this year’s Beer Garden series. The main event was the annual Beer Garden finale, a 6-Man Tag Match with the teams organised by fans picking balls out of a box. The match everyone got was Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA & Kazusada Higuchi Vs Soma Takao, Mike Bailey & Naomi Yoshimura. Bailey hit the Green Tea Plunge on Takeshita and HARASHIMA jumped on top of them with a Springboard Body Press. Takao broke the pin with a chair and the four of them fought their way out of the ring. That left Higuchi to thump Yoshimura with a Lariat and pin him with the Doctor Bomb.

The DDT Extreme Title was on the line in a Watermelon Split Match. A watermelon was placed in the ring. If a wrestler damaged the watermelon they would be disqualified. However if a wrestler got a one count pin, they would be given a chance to split the watermelon with a shovel after spinning around in circles ten times while wearing a blindfold. If they damaged the watermelon that way then they would be the winner. Akito and Jiro Kuroshio both had their chances to win but smashing a watermelon while dizzy and blindfolded is a difficult task. Kuroshio only won by accident when he swung the shovel at the ropes, the shovel bounced back, hit Kuroshio in the face and he fell on top of the watermelon to split it into pieces.

Daisuke Sasaki entered the ring after the match but it was just to compliment Kuroshio’s hair and also eat some watermelon. Hisaya Imabayashi didn’t believe him and said he really wanted to be the next Extreme Title challenger. He booked a title match between Kuroshio and Sasaki for 25th August. Kuroshio then asked for a KO-D Tag Team Titles match on the 1st September Osaka show. He wanted either Takeshita or Sanshiro Takagi to be his partner but they both have title defences on that show. Kuroshio then said his partner will be… his older brother Kazutoshi? Imabayashi didn’t know who he was talking about until Kuroshio said he meant Kazusada Higuchi. He got his “brother’s” name wrong. Higuchi accepted the offer and promised to win the tag titles with his “true brother”. A drunk Sasaki fell asleep in the corner while this was going on.

Catastrophe struck at the start of the show when Danshoku Dieno, Yuki Ueno, MAO and Mizuki Watase all collided head first into each other during a respectful handshake. When it was time for their tag match nobody knew what condition the four of them would be in. Dieno came out thinking he was Watase and Ueno thought he was MAO. Then MAO & Watase both came out thinking they were Dieno! They wrestled the match using each other’s moves until Dieno and Ueno had their tights pulled down revealing Danshoku tights underneath. Everybody was now Danshoku Dieno! They all chased after Keigo Nakamura, causing the match to be stopped.

The tag match before that also ended without a winner. Here the two teams agreed to take a drink after every kickout and rope break. Obviously it was another excuse for Sasaki and Masahiro Takanashi to get drunk again. Tetsuya Endo and Asuka got to join in. Even Daisuke Kiso was convinced to take some shots. Yukinori Matsui argued with Kiso for drinking at work but Kiso gave him a Lariat. Everyone laughed but the bell rang and the match was ruled a No Contest. No one cared because they still got to drink.

There was a whole lot of dancing in the Rock & Roll 5 Way Death Match. A. YAZAWA did his thing until he was choked out by his own suspenders. Yuni gave Kazuki Hirata an Old School rope walk then danced with Toru Owashi. It wasn’t just rock music, Yukio Sakaguchi wound up dancing to “Swan Lake”! Kazuki Hirata joined in when the music turned to something more danceable for him but Sakaguchi Penalty Kicked him for the win.

Since this was the last day of Beer Garden you can’t be mad that most of the wrestlers were more interested in eating and drinking instead of wrestling. That is what Yukio Naya and Mad Paulie got up to in the opening match. When it was time for them to get involved in the ring they were able to clear house handily. Nobuhiro Shimatani got himself tagged in assuring his partners to leave the match to him. Shunma Katsumata and Hiroshi Yamato took each other out which left no one around to stop Makoto Oishi’s European Clutch on Shimatani.

The show ended with each of the wrestlers raising a toast and shouting “Kanpai” at the fans. Hirata then got a party going by starting the Hirata GO! dance and getting others to join in. Sakaguchi was ready to take part when Saki Akai suddenly knocked him out with a can of beer! Akai pinned him to become the new Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion. Hirata then pinned Akai with the Miracle One Shot Cradle to win the belt. Sakaguchi got back up and choked out Hirata with the Sleeper Hold to get the title back.

Ueno then offered Sakaguchi a beer but he drank it back so deep that he fell to the mat with the can still on top of his face. Matsui counted to three and declared the Can Of Beer as the new champion! Ueno drank what was left in the can and Matsui then declared him the champion! Sakaguchi chased Ueno out of the ring while HARASHIMA and Takagi said their final words. Takagi said Beer Garden will live forever even though he missed it due to injury.
