Haruna Neko To Graduate From TJPW

September 8, 2025

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW AUTUMN VICTORY IN SHINKIBA”, 27/09/2025
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

There was news put out today from Tokyo Joshi Pro about Haruna Neko, who is still out of action with a knee injury. Back in June she tore her ACL in her right knee again and had to get surgery. She has since gotten it surgically repaired and is currently undergoing rehab. However she has also decided it is time to end her pro wrestling career and go on a new path. After discussing it with the company she has now retired from pro wrestling and will graduate from TJPW on 27th September. That show was chosen in particular because Shin-Kiba 1st RING is Haruna had her debut match back in November 2018. Sadly because of her injury she will not be able to wrestle one last match but a graduation ceremony for her will take place there.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW AUTUMN VICTORY IN KITAZAWA”, 07/09/2025
Tokyo Kitazawa Town Hall
222 Fans – No Vacancy

1. HIMAWARI defeated Ren Konatsu with the Half Crab Hold (7:50).
2. Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Mahiro Kiryu, Kaya Toribami & Mifu Ashida when Raku pinned Ashida with the Doctor Yellow (8:58).
3. Yuki Arai defeated Chika Nanase with the Scorpion Death Lock (6:48).
4. Rika Tatsumi defeated Uta Takami with the Dragon Sleeper (10:11).
5. Suzume & Arisu Endo defeated Haru Kazashiro & Shino Suzuki when Endo pinned Suzuki with the Ju no Okite (9:44).
6. Yuna Manase & Toga defeated Miyu Yamashita & Kira Summer when Toga pinned Summer with the Rock Bottom (10:09).
7. Mizuki, Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao defeated Miu Watanabe, Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara when Misao submitted Uehara with the Chickenwing Face Lock (17:11).

The second show on today’s Kitazawa doubleheader was the more usual Tokyo Joshi Pro affair. With “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” just under two weeks away it was time for a champions versus challengers 6-Woman Tag Match to headline the show. Mizuki teamed up with Kyoraku Kyomei while Miu Watanabe joined forces with Ober Eats. Before the match began Hyper Misao felt so confident about the champions’ chances of winning that she called her shot and predicted she would take the winning fall from Wakana Uehara. She suffered a setback when Yuki Kamifuku took the spray can from her and sprayed her in the face with it. Things between Mizuki and Watanabe were also more competitive terms with some moments of good sportsmanship coming off like it was an act of passive aggression. The match came down to the two tag teams with Misao clasping the Chickenwing Face Lock onto Uehara. Shoko Nakajima cut off Kamifuku’s rescue by hitting her with the Diving Senton, giving Uehara no option but to give up.

After the match the champion team all talked about defending their titles on 20th September. Misao said she is now even with Uehara after losing to her a few weeks ago and today’s result proves that Uehara’s win was just a fluke. She’ll prove it again at their singles match in Aizuwakamatsu next weekend that Kyoraku Kyomei’s odds of beating Ober Eats are at 99.99999999999%! Nakajima then told Kamifuku that they will be fighting each other in Texas next weekend for the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title. She admits she’s been having fun wrestling against her lately. Mizuki then acknowledged that Watanabe has become more of a Cinderella recently so when the Princess Of Princess Title is on the line, Mizuki wants to win when Watanabe is in her most sparkling form.

The new team of Yuna Manase & Toga has gotten off to a good start. They’re already some teamwork down and had each other’s backs when Miyu Yamashita & Kira Summer launched a counter attack. Manase put all her trust in Toga when she lifted Summer into a Samoan Drop position and then told Toga to hit her with an Elbow Strike to add more oomph to the move. When Manase used another Samoan Drop to get rid of Yamashita, Toga went and pinned Summer with the Rock Bottom. After the match Toga suggested to Manase backstage that they can go challenge for the Princess Tag Team Titles, then decided they should do it. Manase liked the idea because she always wanted to win that title. She then shouted over to Tetsuya Koda at the other side of the room that they want a title shot. She and Toga will also come up with a team name.

The next “TJPW INPIRATION” show will be held on 19th November and will feature the one night only return of Yuu to Tokyo Joshi Pro! TJPW was her original home promotion when she debuted in 2016 up until she left in 2018. She is planning to retire from pro wrestling on 28th December so part of it includes her “coming home” for the first time in seven years. For her TJPW return she is going to team with Kamifuku to take on Nakajima & Yamashita!

The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) performed their newest song “Love Motto” at the start of the show.

2. Suzume & Arisu Endo defeated Kira Summer & Chika Nanase when Suzume pinned Nanase with the Ring A Bell (9:14).
3. 3 Way Match: Rika Tatsumi defeated Mahiro Kiryu and Kaya Toribami when Tatsumi pinned Kiryu with the Dragon God Hold (8:28).

6. Mizuki defeated Uta Takami with the Cutie Special (9:39).
7. Miyu Yamashita & Toga defeated Shoko Nakajima & Haru Kazashiro when Yamashita pinned Kazashiro with the Skull Kick (12:24).

Today Tokyo Joshi Pro are holding two shows inside Kitazawa Town Hall with the first being the next installment of “GO GIRL”, an event held for an audience of women only. After the main event Miyu Yamashita told everyone she loves the atmosphere of these shows while Toga pointed out this is the second “GO GIRL” in a row she got to be in the main event for. She is happy to show everyone how much she has grown and also to see so many girls screaming in front of her. For the newcomers in the crowd, Toga told them that TJPW is full of charm and she’d love it if they would come back to see more shows, like the second one happening this evening for example. Yamashita then told Toga not to feel discouraged about the next show just because they will be on opposing teams this time.

The Dragon God Hold used by Rika Tatsumi is just a humble rolling Sunset Flip. But she is the God of 3 Way Matches which make it so much more powerful.

6. Six Major Single Match VI: Yuya Koroku Vs Yuki Ishida

A very busy weekend of shows ahead. Let’s start off with the match order for the D GENERATIONS show that will kick everything off.

The current Right To Challenge Arm Cover holders are Yuki Iino (Red), Hideki Okatani (Blue) and Yuya Koroku (Green).

DDT “YOKOHAMA BAY☆CLUTCH”, 06/09/2025
Yokohama Radiant Hall

1. Naomi Yoshimura & Tomomitsu Matsunaga Vs Rukiya & Hinata Kasai
2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi, HARASHIMA & Yuki Ishida Vs Shigehiro Irie, Soma Takao & Kazuma Sumi
3. Hideki Okatani, Ilusion & MJ Paul Vs KANON, KANON & Daichi Sato
4. Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya & Jun Akiyama Vs Yuki Ueno, To-y & Yuya Koroku
5. Special Tag Match: Minoru Suzuki & Shinya Aoki Vs Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada
6. Special 3 Way Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Kazuki Hirata Vs Antonio Honda

The card has been changed around a bit because Akito has aggravated an old injury of his and will not be at the show tomorrow. Tomomitsu Matsunaga will come in to take his place.

A big task awaits for Takeshi Masada. It’s bad enough he pissed off Minoru Suzuki when he challenged him for the DDT Universal Title but before that match happens he also has to deal with Shinya Aoki in the meantime.

Yuki Iino will be hold an emergency press conference at the show tomorrow. I don’t expect the news to be drastic like him leaving the company anytime soon just because he’s already in the middle of a storyline and holds a few prizes that DDT would need take off of him if he was to leave for somewhere else. Maybe he just wants to announce when he is cashing in his title shot.

DDT “FIGHTING BEER GARDEN 2025 IN SHINJUKU ~EXTRA TIME~”, 12/09/2025
Shinjuku FACE

1. Akito, Soma Takao & Rukiya Vs Daichi Sato, Yuki Ishida & Hinata Kasai

6. Yukio Naya 8th Anniversary ~ Special Tag Match: Yukio Naya & Kazusada Higuchi Vs Yuki Iino & Jun Akiyama

The addition of KANON to the Enter Sandman Match also means KIMIHIRO will be getting involved too. If there was ever a time for someone to try rapping over Metallica, this would be it.

Another match where Masada has to fight Aoki. That better sharpen him up for Suzuki pretty good.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “I WANT TO SAVE EVERYONE WITH A SMILE ~ ARISU’S AIZUWAKAMATSU GRAND MARCH”, 13/09/2025

7. Arisu Endo & Yuki Arai Vs Miyu Yamashita & Haru Kazashiro

On the same day this show happens, Shoko Nakajima and Yuki Kamifuku will be wrestling each other for the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title over in America. When MLW made the decision to book that match, Tokyo Joshi Pro came up with an idea to have the other halves Kyoraku Kyomei and Ober Eats face each other back in Japan. That means Hyper Misao and Wakana Uehara are going to clash one on one in an international buildup for the Princess Tag Team Titles!

One of the novelties that happen when TJPW come to Arisu Endo’s hometown is the local mascots get involved in the show. Akabe and Kappa Green have both featured on these shows in the past but never at the same time. Until next weekend that is.

BASARA “BASARA 288 ~UTAGE~”, 17/09/2025
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. 3 Way Tag Match: Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto Vs Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA Vs Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken
2. Ryota Nakatsu, Daichi Kazato & Guts Ishijima Vs Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Masato Kamino & Tsutomu Oosugi
3. Takeru Inoue Vs Tomoki Hatano
4. Takato Nakano Vs Gouma Ryu
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Kengo Mashimo & Ayumu Honda (c) Vs SAGAT & Minoru Fujita

Preparations for the upcoming Iron Fist Tag Tournament are in full gear at the next BASARA show. Takeru Inoue and Tomoki Hatano will be teaming up for the tournament but they will wrestle each other here first. Several other teams will be in action too.

At the last show Masato Kamino teamed up with WizRYU under a mask as Body Slam Machine. Now Gouma Ryu had nothing to do with that but the new unit is named after him so he better be careful if Takato Nakano thinks he is taking away his Aijin Tag partner.

Daichi Kazato gets his wish to team up with Guts Ishijima. His tournament partner Ryota Nakatsu is on the team too so at least there is someone normal there for Ishijima to get along with.

2. Daisuke Sasaki 20th Anniversary Match: Daisuke Sasaki & El Desperado Vs Shuji Ishikawa & Antonio Honda

At the moment it’s unclear is Daisuke Sasaki’s rib injury will force him out of his own show. But at least on the undercard we get Dick Togo summoning several of his proteges together for a big tag match against DDT’s all stars. Yasu Urano, KUBITO & Diego all have Togo to thank for various part of their wrestling careers.

Full Wrestle Princess VI Line Up Revealed

September 2, 2025

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI”, 20/09/2025
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Suzume & Ren Konatsu Vs Mei Suruga & Uta Takami
2. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Staggered Entry Battle Royal: Pokotan (c) Vs Raku Vs Pom Harajuku V Mahiro Kiryu Vs Shino Suzuki Vs Mifu Ashida Vs Kira Summer Vs Chika Nanase
3. Aja Kong Vs HIMAWARI
4. Rika Tatsumi Vs Priscilla Kelly
5. Hiroyo Matsumoto & Yuki Arai Vs Haru Kazashiro & Toga
6. Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami Vs Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino
7. International Princess Title Match: Arisu Endo Vs Jada Stone
8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao (c) V Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara
9. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) Vs Miu Watanabe

The full card for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” was announced earlier today although there might be an addition or two still to come. We have Ryo Mizunami returning to Tokyo Joshi Pro after not appearing here all summer. She is teaming up with Yuki Aino again to bring Yukiniki back together. And just like how Mizunami sees potential in Aino, Miyu Yamashita is starting to take Kaya Toribami under her wing as a tag partner too. So let’s set the two teams against each other.

TJPW welcomes Hiroyo Matsumoto into the fold for the first time. They also explained why she is teaming up with Yuki Arai. Eight years ago there was a TV show called Tofu Pro Wrestling that included a few live wrestling events featuring a lot of AKB48 connected talent. Arai took part under the name Bubbly Arai and Matsumoto was one of her trainers behind the scenes. Now eight years later they finally get together in the ring for a real pro wrestling match this time. Haru Kazashiro & Toga have been chosen to be their opponents.

There was only one previous time when Rika Tatsumi and Priscilla Kelly were in the same match together and that was back in 2018. Are the two prepared to discover how different they have both become since that match? Tatsumi vaguely remembers being licked last time. If Kelly tries that again she’s probably going to get strangled!

Over the last two months the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title has been hanging around TJPW like a roommate who doesn’t pay rent and has nothing better to do. Pokotan the DDT mascot is currently the champion but it will be at this show ready to defend the title in a Battle Royal. There are seven other participants in the match but TJPW may add more in the lead up to the show. Also if Pokotan loses the title to someone not in the match before then, then the match will still take place with nothing on the line.

Oh no the two brats are back together! Mei Suruga is happy to be Uta Takami’s big sister again but they still need to come up with a tag team name. Neither Super Cute Sisters or Apple Ice Cream made the cut last year. Ren Konatsu already got to team with her idol Suzume but let’s see if they get along while having to deal with the other two troublemakers.

The first Right To Challenge Arm Cover has been used and bloody hell has it changed directions for DDT going into Sumo Hall later this year. Kazuki Hirata is now the KO-D Openweight Champion but there are still three Arm Covers remaining. They currently belong to Soma Takao (Red), Hideki Okatani (Blue) and Yuya Koroku (Green).

The card has been changed around a bit due to Daisuke Sasaki being injured. He is out of action for a while with a fractured rib.

GANBARE☆PRO “LES AMANTS DU PONT-NEUF 2025”, 15/09/2025

6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title Next Challenger Decision Match: Ken Ohka Vs Shuichiro Katsumura

The top championship in Ganbare☆Pro now belongs to Masaaki Mochizuki and his priorities are currently with Dragongate. He wants Shuichiro Katsumura to be his first challenger but Ken Ohka is pleading to get the title match instead. The answer to this is to have a No. 1 Contender’s match while Mochizuki is back in his home promotion.

GanPro also continues their rivalries with FREEDOMS and BASARA. The FREEDOMS match is getting more tense while things seem to be under control with BASARA.

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. 24: EVERYTHING ENDS”, 16/09/2025
Tokyo ARENA Shimokitazawa

1. 3 Way Tag Team Handicap Match: Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda Vs Charli Evans & Everett Connors Vs Dark King Ueki, Munek & Princess Ram
2. Special Single Match: Kota Sekifuda Vs MAO

It seems that Kota Sekifuda made a good first impression at “FUCKED UP FEST 2025” so he is getting another big match at Baka Gaijin + Friends. This time he is going to experience fighting MAO in his element!

Two new friends join the fray and they might be familiar to fans from certain parts of the world. Charli Evans is from Australia but usually calls the UK wrestling scene her home. She and Chris Brookes had many matches against each other before the pandemic. Her husband Everett Connors made a few GCW appearances coming out of the pandemic before moving his career to Australia with Evans.

DDT “DRAMATIC EXPO 2025”, 23/09/2025
Osaka Namba SkyO Convention Hall

1. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya (c) Vs To-y & Yuya Koroku

Koroku might need to hold onto his RTC Arm Cover for as long as he can because that’s the only reason why he and To-y are getting a KO-D Tag Team Titles shot. Yuki Iino has good memories of using the Right To Challenge prize and he wants to take the one Koroku currently has. He says he will cancel the match if Koroku loses it before then but I don’t know if he or Yukio Naya have the power to do that. The Apex are confident thet can keep the tag titles either way.

DDT “DRAMATIC INFINITY 2025 ~3 HOUR SPECIAL~”, 28/09/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. DDT Universal Title: Minoru Suzuki (c) Vs Takeshi Masada

There seems to be no one out there brave enough to take the DDT Universal Title from Minoru Suzuki. Well, Takeshi Masada thinks he can do it and only got the match because he dared to accuse Suzuki of running away from a challenge. For that Suzuki is now threatening to kill Masada in the ring!

DDT “ULTIMATE PARTY 2025”, 03/11/2025
Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan

1. Sanshiro Takagi Return Match – Special Single Match: Sanshiro Takagi Vs Hinata Kasai
2. Special Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & Kaisei Takechi Vs X & X
3. Dramatic Dream Match: Zack Sabre Jr. Vs Chris Brookes

We’re not done yet with Chris Brookes’s reunion with Zack Sabre Jr. They realized it has been years since they last had a singles match against each other and it hasn’t been done in Japan yet. So why not do one at Sumo Hall for DDT’s biggest show of the year? Sabre is still the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion too. But for how long…

It will be around a year and four months that have gone by when Sanshiro Takagi finally returns to wrestle again. He only admitted recently that one of the reasons he was out of action for so long was because he was diagnosed with angina and wasn’t allowed to even do a proper workout by his doctor until he recovered. He also sees something special with Hinata Kasai and specifically chose him to be his opponent at Sumo Hall. Kasai understands how important the match is especially because it will be the opener. But he isn’t sweating over the result. In his eyes Takagi doesn’t have a lot in the tank in his current state so Kasai thinks he has a really good chance of winning his first match in Sumo Hall!

1. Yuki Aino defeated Ren Konatsu with the Full Nelson Of Love And Fire (7:00).
2. Hyper Misao defeated Raku with the Hypami Returns (10:34).
3. Suzume & Arisu Endo defeated Pom Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu when Suzume pinned Kiryu with the Ring A Bell (7:39).
4. Rika Tatsumi defeated Chika Nanase with the Sliding Hip Lock (9:31).
5. Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara defeated Shoko Nakajima & Uta Takami when Uehara pinned Takami with a Modified Facebuster (10:38).
6. Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami defeated Yuki Arai & Mifu Ashida when Yamashita pinned Ashida with the Attitude Adjustment (12:53).
7. Mizuki, Haru Kazashiro & Toga defeated Miu Watanabe, HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki when Mizuki pinned Suzuki with the Cutie Special (13:16).

First blood goes to Mizuki. Her team beat Miu Watanabe’s team in a warm up match for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” happening next month. Mizuki said she couldn’t have won the match by herself and thanked her partners for teaming with her today. Both Haru Kazashiro & Toga were really happy because they got to wrestle in KBS Hall for the first time today after their previous opportunities went by the wayside for one reason or another. They said Mizuki really was like a princess today but Mizuki pointed out that she herself noticed how much more princess-like Watanabe was today. She’ll leave it up to others to decide if Watanabe is a monster or not. Backstage Watanabe encouraged HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki by telling them everyone in Tokyo Joshi Pro is a princess, she just happens to be the No. 1 princess of the summer.

A homecoming for the Kyoto Tag pair of Yuki Arai & Mifu Ashida didn’t go according to plan. Kaya Toribami got rid of Arai with a Rolling Senton from the second rope while Miyu Yamashita pinned Ashida with the Attitude Adjustment. Arai said it’s been two years since Tokyo Joshi Pro was last in Kyoto and in the meantime she found a new friend in Ashida. She takes the blame for not being there to stop the pin. Ashida told her she wants to get really strong so they will have an even better triumphant return next time.

Wakana Uehara used a new Modified Facebuster move to win the match for Ober Eats. She was asked by Yuki Kamifuku if the move has a name yet? Uehara told her she’s thinking really hard to come up with one. Kamifuku also can’t get over how young Uta Takami is. She was born in 2007, the same year the first iPhone came out! Shoko Nakajima sees potential in Takami and is considering transforming her into TJPW’s ultimate weapon!

When Raku made her entrance to the ring carrying a futon, Hyper Misao hatched a plan. She cannot be sent to sleep by Raku’s lullaby if she is already sleeping! So she stuffed a pillow into her cape and used it to take a nap in the ring, putting Raku in the position she usually leaves her opponent in. Misao rolled her up when Raku dropped her guard but she was able to kick out. Raku then wrapped Misao up in the futon and taped it closed before bringing her out of the ring over to the stained glass window. She sang Misao to sleep and returned back to the ring hoping for a countout ring but Shoko Nakajima sprayed Misao in the face to wake her up and Misao got back to the ring in time.

Maki Itoh’s Contract With TJPW Expires

August 26, 2025

It was announced today that Maki Itoh’s contract with Tokyo Joshi Pro had expired on 23rd August and after much discussions between the two sides, her contract was not renewed. Therefore the match she had on Saturday was her last appearance in TJPW. Itoh wrote two comments about the news, one in Japanese and one in English. Her Japanese comment includes mention of the first time she gave Sanshiro Takagi a headbutt during an Idol Lumberjack Death Match in DDT back in 2013 that started this entire journey. Below is the comment she wrote in English.

“With the Korakuen Hall show on August 23, 2025, my contract with TJPW has come to and end.

Back when I was struggling as an idol, it was Takagi who discovered me.

I wasn’t good at singing or dancing, and I was never that popular – but the one thing I was ever praised for was pro wrestling.

Thanks to TJPW, I was able to spend 8 years and 7 months growing and living alongside this company.

It’s all because of TJPW and everyone I’ve met along the way.

I’ll continue wrestling, so I’m sure we’ll meet again somewhere down the road!

I’ll never forget the gratitude I feel toward everyone who has supported me, and I’ll keep treasuring the experience and knowledge I gainsed here as I move forward.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you fuck you all!”

———————————————————————–

I should have known something was up after Itoh’s match on Saturday when she lost clean to Yuki Arai in what was only their second ever singles match together. In TJPW it is uncommon for a kohai to beat their senpai in their second attempt but given how hard Arai is pushed I figured this was an exception to the rule. That made me ignore all of the other red flags that were raised. Miyu Yamashita looked upset while she helped Itoh walk to the back. Then Itoh’s post-match comments backstage was very brief. All she said was she gave it her all and everyone should be able to think for themselves. That kind of short but ominous promo after a big loss is usually the act of somebody who is about to leave the territory. The other big sign that completely went over my head was the pinky swear Itoh gave Arai instead of the middle finger. I didn’t realise this until I came across this tweet. When was the last time Itoh offered a pinky swear to someone? To Natsumi Maki after one of Maki’s final TJPW matches before she left to become Natsupoi in Stardom.

As for the actual news, it is an end that fans have been expecting for quite some time. Like for the last two or three years Itoh would spend good chunks of the year wrestling in North America and Europe instead of Japan. It meant whenever she was back in Japan she was mostly directionless wrestling in TJPW. Other than setting up 121000000 with Yamashita to take over the tag team division for a while, she never reached the same heights of 2021. Which brings me to explain something that Itoh’s biggest supporters never wanted to hear. Itoh “finished her story” in TJPW when she won the 2021 Tokyo Princess Cup. That was the end of her character arc. Even in the company canon that tournament victory was presented as the happy ending for her wrestling career because she finally found success under her own abilities. Everything afterwards is her either living “Happily Ever After” in Japan or adapting the Rated R remake of her gimmick in America. So for those who wished and waited for the day Itoh would win the Princess Of Princess Title, it was never going to happen barring any emergency decisions over injuries.

And it’s her success in America that probably led to this news becoming a reality. She has never kept it secret in English language interviews that she would love to sign a deal with one of the major American wrestling companies. It is also assumed by everyone by this point that the money she made overseas is more than what she makes with TJPW in Japan even if it’s just because of the Yen becoming weak against other currencies. According to TJPW’s side of the story they couldn’t come to terms with Itoh over a new deal and decided to part ways with her. In the immediate aftermath we’re seeing a lot of people like Takagi and the TJPW roster publicly wishing her the best and saying how much they will miss her. So at least on the surface this split doesn’t seem to have created any bad blood between the two sides. Time will tell that story.

So what now for Itoh’s future? She will continue to wrestle and since her departure is over a contract expiration, the word “graduation” was never used to describe what’s going on. More international bookings is the obvious answer. Her last tour was cancelled but the only bookings announced were two GCW shows that took place the same weekend that her contract expired. The timing of that explains why it got cancelled in order to give Itoh some kind of farewell match in TJPW. She has a booking in Italy happening this November and Yamashita will be there too. The promoters SAJ Wrestling are advertising that it will be her only European appearance but didn’t specify for what period of time.

Something that also caught my eye while digging into this story is Itoh has a booking with Kyushu Pro happening on 19th October in her hometown of Ogori City, Fukuoka. This was announced on 14th August and she was listed as a TJPW wrestler in the show’s marketing. This might just be a coincidence given how close the event is happening to Itoh’s home. But as former TJPW talent like Yuu, Sayaka Unagi and Marika Kobashi have shown there is a massive collection of indies out there in Japan to get bookings for even if they get way more obscure the further you move away from Tokyo.

But what if Itoh has eyes on getting to stages bigger than TJPW? Does she have a route that can lead her to Stardom, Marigold or some of the other known joshi promotions? AEW has ignored her for years now but if they eventually saw the light to sign Yamashita to a some kind of deal then there might always be that chance Itoh gets the call, even if it’s just for a one night ROH appearance. As for WWE they keep going back and forth over what kind of talent scouting they want to prioritize. They would get brownie points online for signing Itoh to even just a WWE ID deal but what is that worth really? A bunch of blue tick accounts pretending to know Itoh’s career highlights along with a new entrance song being produced by Def Rebel? Come on, she’s worth more than that.

One thing I want to end on is another story of timing. The same day Itoh has her last TJPW match was when we found out about Yamashita’s new leadership role that supposedly makes her now fully committed to the company. Yamashita is another person who it has been argued has grown out of TJPW and could go off to do other things. But while Itoh is now out of the company, Yamashita has taken the opposite path and will become even more entrenched, maybe even planting seeds to one day take on bigger management roles behind the scenes just like how Akito did it in DDT. I can’t help but wonder if such an opportunity could have ever been on the table for Itoh given her own seniority with the promotion. That probably isn’t her style though. Making money is what she wants and if TJPW couldn’t give that to her, that’s their problem. And it might be a bit alarming if it is their problem.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI”, 20/09/2025
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Princess Tag Team Titles: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao (c) V Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara
2. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) Vs Miu Watanabe

The Princess and The Monster are going to war over the Princess Of Princess Title again! Miu Watanabe has won this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup and has quickly marked Mizuki so she can take back the title she lost to her on 4th January.

A second chance has also been given to Ober Eats because they are going to challenge Kyoraku Kyomei for the Princess Tag Team Titles again. Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao were victorious when the two teams clashed in Las Vegas this past April but Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara have grown as a tag team since then. Uehara even has a pinfall win over Misao which is what got Ober Eats the rematch.

Priscilla Kelly returns to Tokyo Joshi Pro on this show for the first time since 2018.
