TOKYO JOSHI PRO “HYPER MISAO PRODUCE – HYPE!”, 25/05/2023
Tokyo Kitazawa Town Hall
202 Fans – No Vacancy

1. Hyper Misao II Audition: Suzume defeated Miu Watanabe by Ring Out (11:28).
Order Of Elimination: Moka Miyamoto, Yuki Kamifuku, Raku & HIMAWARI and Miu Watanabe.
2. Special Single Match: Yoshihiko defeated Shoko Nakajima with s Cradle (12:26).
3. Miracle Heart Catch Shuffle Tag Tournament Final: Rika Tatsumi & Arisu Endo defeated Yuki Aino & Mahiro Kiryu when Tatsumi submitted Kiryu with the White Dragon Sleeper (11:46).

Today’s show came entirely from the mind of Hyper Misao. She was the producer so anything she said, goes. Proof of that was seen in the first match. It was a Battle Royal where the winner is rewarded with the right to become Hyper Misao II. Nobody booked for the match wanted to be a part of it so Misao gathered them all into a room before the show and brainwashed them into worshipping her. The result was everybody entering the Battle Royal wearing a different Hyper Misao costume from over the years and imitating her gimmick. Miu Watanabe and Yuki Kamifuku fought over the microphone, Raku wore Misao’s very first costume, HIMAWARI showed up as Akemi Daredasore and Moka Miyamoto did all of Misao’s superhero poses. Suzume ended up as the last Misao standing after all six of them sprayed each other in the face. Her full reward was an invitation to join the Hypami Lecture and it will only cost her 990,000 yen (discounted because Suzume already has a superhero costume). Suzume realised this whole thing was a scam and she snapped out of her brainwashing. She stopped Misao from brainwashing her again, took off her mask and told everyone she wants to do her best by being herself.

A first time ever matchup between Shoko Nakajima and Yoshihiko was next. It was a chance for Nakajima to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title, which she has only held once previously. Yoshihiko ignored a customary handshake before the match began. The two grappled with Yoshihiko getting the upper hand and sending his opponent out of the ring. It followed up with a big Topé Suicida but Nakajima used her big kaiju strength to lift Yoshihiko up with a Gorilla Press onto the ring apron. Back in the ring Nakajima targeted Yoshihiko’s legs with submission holds. Yoshihiko reached the ropes and the two started throwing blows back and forth. It led to a scramble of pins after a Hurricanrana ending with Yoshihiko keeping Nakajima’s shoulders pinned to the mat long enough for the three count.

The third and final match revealed that even though Hyper Misao produced this show, the hero of today’s story was actually Mahiro Kiryu. Her match teaming with Yuki Arai against Rika Tatsumi & Arisu Endo was suddenly revealed to be the final of the Miracle Heart Catch tournament, a previously unannounced competition shuffling random teams together. Endo had Kiryu trapped in the Camel Cluch late in the match when all of a sudden time froze and a masked woman who looks like Hyper Misao entered the ring. Only Kiryu was still conscious and the women told her she must win this match otherwise the world will collapse! She freed Kiryu from Endo’s frozen grip and the two travelled to another dimension where Kiryu will have another match and win it to save the world.

They found a dimension where Sanshiro Takagi and Tetsuya Koda were looking over resumes for Tokyo Joshi Pro’s new project, a unit of pro wrestling idols collaborating with The Up Up Girls. In this dimension Koda rejects the application from Hikari Noa because she is just a high school student from Hokkaido. Instead Mahiro was chosen as the mahjong loving blue member of The Up Up Girls, Mamamama Mahiro! In the ring she performed two songs with Watanabe & Raku then wrestled her match. Things suddenly went wrong and Mahiro was almost pinned by Tatsumi when time again froze and the masked woman sent her to another dimension to start their plan all over.

This time they entered a dimension at the point in time where Mahiro had not debut yet. Takagi came up with an idea to give TJPW a Takarazuka Revue gimmick and Mahiro was the perfect candidate. She was going to become the Romeo to Aino’s Juliet. However when it was time for the Miracle Heart Catch Final, she discovered that Tatsumi & Endo also had completely different gimmicks. They were now like the violent heels from 1980s joshi attacking their opponents with canes and chains! Mahiro tried her best to defend Aino but suffered the consequences. She was about to lose again when time froze once more. It was time to visit yet another dimension.

The masked woman decided to keep things simple this time and went to a dimension where she simply spiked Tatsumi & Endo’s drinks before the final. It caused the two of them to enter the match with stomach aches while Kiryu & Aino were in perfect condition. Then a twist nobody could see coming suddenly happened. The match was interrupted by the Chiisiki-gun, this dimension’s Biishiki-gun equivalent! Chiisakisama and her devoted maid (who looked a lot like Haruna Neko & Antonio Honda respectively) had crashed the tournament and were now Kiryu’s new opponents! Kiryu was once again going to lose the match when time froze once again. However they were about to reach the end of the road.

A voice from the Space-Time Police interrupted the proceedings and revealed to Kiryu that the masked woman’s real identity is Hyper Misao! They weren’t in fact travelling through different dimensions but were instead travelling back through their own timeline over and over in an effort to rewrite history. Misao defended her plan, asking Mahiro if she ever wanted to go back to the past and correct her mistakes? It is something Misao has been asking herself for the last eight years. As she was saying this she suddenly began to realize that she can’t change the world after all. Kiryu told Misao she used to be a recluse just like her. Kiryu only had her mother’s support to rely on and that helped her gradually become a member of society. However one day her mother’s health began to deteriorate and they soon learned she did not have long left to live. Kiryu could not figure out what to do and had no answer other than wishing it was just a dream. She felt emotionless about her own life until she came across a video of DDT doing their street pro wrestling matches. Just like Misao, she thought it looked so much fun and it made her decide to become a pro wrestler. Kiryu has many regrets but becoming a pro wrestler is not one of them. She cannot change her past but she can change her present and future. Misao understood and for one final time they travelled back to the past to right before today’s main event began.

The match began from the beginning and this time Kiryu was full of determination. She went toe to toe against her opponents, fighting her way out of Endo’s Camel Clutch and grabbing hold onto Tatsumi’s legs to cut off her mobility. She gave Tatsumi the Spinebuster but Endo broke the pin at two. Tatsumi caught her in a Sleeper Hold and transitioned it into the White Dragon Sleeper. Kiryu held on for as long as she could but had no choice but to give up in the end. Afterwards Tatsumi admitted she didn’t expect to see Kiryu be so good in the match today. Kiryu just taught her that whenever she falls down she should look forward and keep going. The two hugged and brought Misao into the ring to close out the show.

Misao told Kiryu she did a good job today and offered her the microphone to speak. Kiryu thanked the audience for coming to see the show and is surprised to see so many people here. Misao said this whole reckless match was her idea. As you can see from the show poster, she brought all these wrestlers together to fight inside her mind. She thinks everybody in TJPW are so incredibly talented that they can all handle her crazy ideas. She didn’t plan on a show closing catchphrase so she thought of one on the spot. In English she told everyone “I get hype! We get hype!”

1. Mahiro Kiryu defeated Toga with the Spinebuster (7:46).
2. Hyper Misao defeated Shino Suzuki with the Chickenwing Face Lock (8:29).
3. Shoko Nakajima, Suzume, & Haru Kazashiro defeated Ryo Mizunami, Kaya Toribami & Yoshiko Hasegawa when Nakajima pinned Toribami with the Northern Lights Suplex (15:04).
4. Yuki Kamifuku defeated HIMAWARI with the Famouser (7:06).
5. Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Hikari Noa, Nao Kakuta & Wakana Uehara when Raku pinned Uehara with the Doctor Yellow (11:04).
6. Mizuki & Moka Miyamoto defeated Miu Watanabe & Arisu Endo when Mizuki pinned Endo with the Diving Foot Stomp (14:15).

Mizuki got a taste of what to expect when The Magical Sugar Rabbits face Daydream one more time on 11th June thanks to Miu Watanabe. During the main event Mizuki missed a Basement Dropkick aimed for Arisu Endo, went feet first through the ropes and was caught into Watanabe’s Giant Swing outside the ring. However with thanks to some help from Moka Miyamoto, Mizuki regained her footing and pinned Endo to win the match.

Afterwards Mizuki praised Watanabe, Endo and Miyamoto for the performance and feels like her juniors are now catching up to her. It proves to her that Tokyo Joshi Pro is at a position where the wrestlers who are sick or injured can rest easily while the wrestlers who want to go pursue their dreams elsewhere can do so with confidence. Meanwhile Mizuki will be staying here to make sure everyone currently missing from TJPW can come back without any worries. Backstage Watanabe joked that her team lost because Endo’s new dye job for her hair is too flashy. Endo explained to her that she lives her life with flamboyance.

The “Love Triangle” of Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku proved their recent trios tournament win was not a fluke. Their opponents had to forfeit their place in the tournament but today’s result proves that Aino, Raku & Harajuku’s recent success is deserved.

Hyper Misao asked Shino Suzuki if she could become a tour guide too. Suzuki considered the request until Misao demanded she take her tour flag. From there the two of them fought the first half of their match over that flag.

At the start of the show Yuki Arai told the fans she is upset and frustrated that she couldn’t wrestle today due to a foot injury she suffered during a SKE48 rehearsal. She has to take a break from wrestling to recover but promises to come back stronger.

Miyu Yamashita Vs Sawyer Wreck was announced for “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’23” on 8th July. It will be Yamashita’s first match in Tokyo in 3 and a half months.

Australian wrestler Mitch Ryder is coming over to GanPro to team with his fellow countryman Hartley Jackson.

The second show of GanPro’s May tripleshot is all being put together by Yumehito Imanari. The main event celebrates his 10th anniversary with the promotion. He also decided to do a tag team match between the old generation and the new generation. The joshi match will have both Haruhi and YuuRI wrestling in “arena” branded swimsuits. The opening match will be a Rumble where everyone will enter to Imanari’s theme song “POISON ~In This World Where I Can’t Say What I Want To Say~” by Takashi Sorimachi. Every participant will also have to represent Imanari in some way so I think there is going to be several impersonations of his different gimmicks during the match.

Riara is getting some more valuable in-ring experience, this time getting a match against Ancham.

The women of Ganbare☆Joshi do not want to deal with Miyako Matsumoto and her new partner in crime Alex Lee so a team from P.P.P. Tokyo will face them instead. 1. Moka Miyamoto defeated Haru Kazashiro with the Rashomon (4:37).
2. Nao Kakuta & Toga defeated Hyper Misao & Shino Suzuki when Kakuta pinned Suzuki with the Shiden Kai (7:43).
3. Miu Watanabe defeated HIMAWARI with the Canadian Backbreaker (7:59).
4. Hikari Noa & Wakana Uehara defeated Arisu Endo & Kaya Toribami when Noa pinned Toribami with the Blizzard Suplex (9:23).
5. Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Shoko Nakajima, Suzume & Mahiro Kiryu when Aino pinned Kiryu with the Venus DDT (15:17).
6. Mizuki & Yuki Arai defeated Maki Itoh & Yuki Kamifuku when Mizuki pinned Kamifuku with the Diving Foot Stomp (14:59).

Perhaps we are starting to see what Tokyo Joshi Pro is going to look like in the near future with the show that went on today. Due to Yuka Sakazaki travelling overseas and Rika Tatsumi having to pull out on short notice, Mizuki was the only champion at the show today. She remained as her usual self in the main event, passing the end of show speech to Yuki Arai. But in her backstage interview after the main event Mizuki started crying when she was asked about Sakazaki’s graduation coming up in December. She’s worried that if she does not do her best then Sakazaki won’t be able to have her graduation match with peace of mind. That is why Mizuki thinks now is not the time to get sad.

This was Maki Itoh’s final match before she goes on another long expedition of America. She is sure she will return to Japan all beaten up because there are more tougher opponents for her to face in America than in Japan. However she wants to enjoy the experience and work hard so she can come back and win the Princess Of Princess Title from Mizuki. Maybe that is the reason Yuki Kamifuku took the blame for their team losing in the main event. Although Kamifuku also realizes she’s been dropping falls a little bit more ever since she turned 30 in February.

Little by little, Shino Suzuki is getting the hang of this pro wrestling thing. Today’s match was an important one for her because it was taking place in her home city of Shizuoka. Hyper Misao was excited to team with her because they both wear green and she got Suzuki to introduce her in a tour guide way. She also convinced Suzuki to use her tour guide flag as a weapon to choke their opponents with. However Nao Kakuta & Toga recovered momentum and won the match in the end with Kakuta getting the pin on Suzuki.

Rika Tatsumi was unable to be at the show due to being in poor physical condition. Her scheduled opponent Wakana Uehara was added into the 3 Way Match to turn it into a tag team bout.

6. Yuki Arai Debut 2nd Anniversary Match: Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima defeated Yuki Arai & Maki Itoh when Sakazaki pinned Arai with the Magical Merry-Go-Round (15:29).
7. International Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) defeated Suzume with the Missile Hip (13:28).
*V3 for Rika Tatsumi.
8. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) defeated Sawyer Wreck with the Cutie Special (11:24).
*V2 for Mizuki.

A Princess Of Princess Title defence unlike any other was the big match for Tokyo Joshi Pro’s annual Golden Week show in Korakuen Hall. The champion Mizuki faced that tall challenge of Sawyer Wreck, an American wrestler fond of having death matches. The massive height difference between the two resulted in Wreck throwing Mizuki around the ring and outside it too. A Diving Cross Body from Mizuki was caught and countered into a Power Bomb. But Mizuki found opening after opening to hit Diving Double Stomps, causing a lot of damage to the challenger. A ref bump led to Wreck bringing in several chairs but Mizuki fought her off and escaped from a Choke Slam attempt. She had the strength to throw Wreck with the Cutie Special and land one more Diving Foot Stomp before using another Cutie Special for the successful title defence.

The two hugged each other after the match and Wreck left ringside to a good ovation from the fans. Mizuki said on the microphone she was nervous to fight against a big opponent but she did it to give fans the full taste of TJPW. Suddenly Maki Itoh entered the ring to challenge Mizuki for the Princess Title! Mizuki said Itoh was late because she remembers a promise the two made years ago. They promised back then that when Mizuki became the champion she would have a title match with Itoh. She’s happy it will finally get to happen so she wants it to take place in Ota Ward Gymnasium on 8th July for “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’23”! Itoh didn’t say anything in response. She just gave Mizuki the middle finger and left the ring. Backstage Itoh said she will be going back to America from around 19th May. She is making the decision to stay there until the Fukuoka homecoming show on 25th June in order to train for the title match. In response to this, Mizuki wants to focus on defending the Princess Tag Team Titles until Itoh returns.

Rika Tatsumi is left looking for more challengers after her third defence of the International Princess Title. Her opponent Suzume went straight for the win from the start with Cradles and roll ups until Tatsumi took her outside the ring and used her Choking attacks. She also threw Suzume’s leg against the ring post. Suzume survived the use of Dragon Sleepers and Hip Attacks to use the Ring A Bell but she was too damaged to make the pin. Suzume then applied her own Sleeper but Tatsumi broke out of it to hit another Hip Attack. Firmly in control at this point, Tatsumi used the Twist Of Fate and then the Missile Hip to finish Suzume off. Tatsumi said afterward this win was an important one and she expects to be defending the IP Title for the rest of her life. There is one person she wants to have a title match with but she wouldn’t reveal who it is. All she said is when the time comes. the fans should not miss it. Backstage Suzume was in tears. She admires Tatsumi so much but she’s upset to let down the all the fans who wanted to see her win the championship. She won’t give up chasing after Tatsumi and hopes she will continue defending “the most beautiful belt in the world” until she gets to challenge her again.

Yuki Arai celebrated two years as a pro wrestler by asking her rival idol Maki Itoh to team together for the first time. Itoh claims she agreed to do this only because Miyu Yamashita isn’t around. Their opponents were Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima, the two of them coming back together for a Miraclians reunion. Arai got to show how much she has progressed in the last two years but she still fell to Sakazaki’s Merry-Go-Round to take the loss. Arai said the last two years have gone by so quickly but she has high hopes for her next year. Sakazaki & Nakajima were happy to bring Miraclians back for the occasion. They originally came up with the team name because at the time they were two losers looking to create a miracle. Today they discovered they can still make miracles together.

The two members of Daydream and Daisy Monkey that weren’t in the IP Title match faced off against each other lower down the card. Arisu Endo tried her best to grab and stretch Miu Watanabe but the power difference was just too much for her to overcome. Watanabe powered out of the Camel Clutch and pinned Endo with the Tear Drop to win the match. With Tatsumi’s win later in the show it was a clean sweep for Daydream over Daisy Monkey.

Ryo Mizunami returned to TJPW for her fourth match in the company to team up with Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami to take on Free WiFi & Yuki Aino. At first Mizunami’s team were the ones in danger when Hikari Noa & Nao Kakuta wiped out her partners and left it up to Aino to finish the job. But the UVB was countered into an STO followed by a Short-Range Lariat. Mizunami then pinned Aino with the Hot Limit to take victory from the jaws of defeat. The two of them kept going after the match was over so this may not be the end of Mizunami’s visits to TJPW.

The friendship between Yuki Kamifuku and Mahiro Kiryu allows them to be somewhat cheeky towards each other whenever they are on opposite sides of the ring. When Kiryu was doing her Kneeling Apology spot on Wakana Uehara, Kamifuku kicked her off. Kiryu then grabbed Kamifuku and threw her on top of Uehara so she could apologise to everyone for her previous apology getting interrupted. Toga got involved with her Elbow Strikes but she ended up getting pinned with Kamifuku’s Famouser.

Today is Children’s Day in Japan so Hyper Misao had to team with the two teenagers Haru Kazashiro & Runa Okubo. They both showed up wearing similar superhero masks and promised to play fair with their opponents. The other team didn’t believe them and were eventually proven right. Kazashiro & Okubo choked Pom Harajuku with their cloaks and caused her to throw a tantrum. She thought she should get to celebrate the holiday too because she is “3 years old”. Haruna Neko also got into the antics by blinding Misao with her own spray. Misao fought back by putting Harajuku in the Crossface Chickenwing until Raku & Neko broke the hold. Kazashiro & Okubo cleared both of them from the ring so Misao could beat Harajuku with the I Am A Hero.

HIMAWARI was able to beat Shino Suzuki in the opening match between two rookies both in their first year. Suzuki went for a Sleeper but was pushed back into the corner to let go of the hold. HIMAWARI then locked in a Half Crab Hold and held it back until her opponent gave up.

The card for Hyper Misao’s own show “HYPE!” on 25th May will consist of three matches. One of them is a 6 Way audition to determine who will become Hyper Misao II. Also on the show Shoko Nakajima faces Yoshihiko in a first time ever match. There was also announcements for new shows taking place later in the year outside of Tokyo. Many of them will serve as homecoming events for different members of the roster. They include Nakajima’s show in Niigata on 5th August, Arai’s show in Kyoto on 10th September, Tatsumi’s show in Nagano on 16th September and Endo’s show in Aizuwakamatsu on 21st October.

6. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) defeated Max The Impaler & Pom Harajuku when Sakazaki pinned Harajuku with an Elbow Butt (11:38).
*V1 for The Magical Sugar Rabbits.

Sadly Pom Harajuku and her runaway monster tag partner Max The Impaler were unable to win the Princess Tag Team Titles. Max used Harajuku as a projectile many times during the match, throwing her onto both Magical Sugar Rabbits at every opportunity. However they missed the Wasteland War Justice on Yuka Sakazaki, giving Mizuki the chance to Double Stomp Harajuku. Sakazaki overpowered Max with the Magical Merry-Go-Round and then got into a strike exchange with Harajuku. The fans cheered for Harajuku as she hit Elbow Strike after Elbow Strike, but Sakazaki knocked her down with one big Elbow Smash in return and that was enough to get the three count.

Max carried Harajuku away from ringside while MagiRabi celebrated their victory. Sakazaki wiped away Max’s facepaint that had smudged Mizuki’s face. She quickly cleaned it off when Mizuki asked if the facepaint represents a symbol of Max’s friendship. They both praised Harajuku for being more lively today but can’t figure out if Max is treating her like a partner or like a toy. Backstage Harajuku was so upset over losing she cried. In a rare showing of compassion, Max wiped the tears away from her face.

We all know by now that Rika Tatsumi likes to choke her opponents. Well today Suzume choked her back in an effort to prove she is a serious challenger for the International Princess Title. However Tatsumi overpowered Suzume and choked her back Neck Hanging style. Despite that setback, Suzume is still confident she can win the title from Tatsumi.

The official name for the trio of Yuki Kamifuku, Yuki Aino & Yuki Arai is now Triple YUKI! Today was their second time all teaming together and they believe their combined power is infinite. After they won their match, Kamifuku gave Aino & Arai gummy bears as a reward. The other team’s vibes were not as nice though. Maki Itoh blamed Shino Suzuki for losing. Her criticisms were to motiviate Suzuki into doing better next time but Itoh then told Hikari Noa that she won’t be teaming with Suzuki again.

HIMAWARI was wrestling in a 3 Way Match for the first time so she had a lot to prove to the self-proclaimed “God Of 3 Ways” Hyper Misao. HIMAWARI was told she has to qualities to succeed in 3 Way Matches so Misao proposed they work together against Raku. They went on to fight Raku 2-on-1 but Raku got out of there with the win anyway. She capitalised on the alliance falling apart and then pinned HIMAWARI before Misao could break it up.

6. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Max The Impaler & Pom Harajuku

A contract signing was held for the Princess Tag Team Titles a few days ago. The Magical Sugar Rabbits and Pom Harajuku arrived to the building on time but Max The Impaler was nowhere to be seen. The three of them signed the contract anyway and gave comments about the upcoming match. Yuka Sakazaki said if Max does not show up for the title match then Harajuku will be too weak to wrestle by herself. Mizuki thinks the match will have to go ahead as a 2-On-1 Handicap match, which she thinks is convenient for her & Sakazaki. Harajuku was certain that Max would eventually show up and she was proven right. Max burst into the room, took a bite out of the contract, threw the remains at MagiRabi and then grabbed Harajuku and carried her out of the room. Sayuri Namba picked up the remains of the contract and declared it to be an official signature from Max so the title match will go ahead.

The potential next challengers could be coming out of the Daydream Vs Daisy Monkey match.

The trio known as Yuki Yuki Yuki are back teaming together to wrestle in front of a crowd for the first time. I don’t think they figured out who the team captain is yet.

Nao Kakuta is not on the show due to a schedule conflict. Also the teenagers Haru Kazashiro and Runa Okubo were not booked in order to avoid the burden of having to wrestle in Osaka and Tokyo on back to back days.

5. Max The Impaler & Pom Harajuku defeated Yuka Sakazaki & Mahiro Kiryu when
Harajuku pinned Kiryu after the Wasteland War Justice (9:02).
6. International Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) defeated Vert Vixen with the Torso Choke Dragon Sleeper (10:55).
*V2 for Rika Tatsumi.
7. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) defeated Nao Kakuta with the Modified Face Lock (15:45).
*V1 for Mizuki.

The brand new Princess Of Princess Title run for Mizuki is off to a good start with a successful defence against Nao Kakuta. Unlike previous Princess Title matches in the past, this one featured fighting at ringside with Kakuta throwing Mizuki into the front row of chairs. Kakuta also used the Avalanche Hair Whip to thrown Mizuki back into the ring from the top rope. However Kakuta took a beating throughout the match too and was too hurt to cover Mizuki when she gave her the Shiden Kai. She went for another version of the move but Mizuki countered it and Double Stomped onto Kakuta’s shoulder when she was left sitting on the canvas empty handed. Mizuki then landed a Flying Double Stomp before taking her opponent’s arm and applying a Modified Face Lock for the submission victory.

After the match Mizuki said she was really happy that she and Kakuta got to main event a Tokyo Joshi Pro show together. She had wanted Kakuta to show new sides she has never seen before but instead the opposite happened. It’s a kind of fighting relationship she wants to continue with her. Mizuki’s next Princess Title defence is against Sawyer Wreck on 5th May but before then The Magical Sugar Rabbits have a Princess Tag Team Titles defence on 22nd April. So Mizuki’s next priority is to focus on defending the Tag Titles with Yuka Sakazaki because she only wants to concentrate on one goal at a time.

Rika Tatsumi had a brand new opponent for her second International Princess Title defence. Vert Vixen was able to withstand the attacks to her legs and fire back with powerful moves like the Stunner and Blue Thunder Bomb. She also continued using Super Kicks and Big Boots to block Tatsumi’s Hip Attack. Tatsumi switched her attack over to the Dragon Sleeper and despite some resistance at first, she was able to lock in the Body Choke and make Vixen tap out. The two bowed to each other after the match.

Tatsumi praised her challenger and told the fans she wants her title reign to bring her on an even more interesting journey. Suddenly Suzume entered the ring. She said Tatsumi is the reason she became a pro wrestler and changed her life. And it’s because of Tatsumi that it may change again because Suzume is challenging her for the title on 5th May! Tatsumi accepted, bringing up her loss to Suzume at last year’s Tokyo Princess Cup. It’s time for her to avenge the loss and get her win back. Suzume admits it is almost impossible for her to become a champion given her previous attempts to get opportunities all ended in failure. But Tatsumi inspired her to do the impossible and become a wrestler so Tatsumi can make her do the impossible again and become a champion!

The odd couple of Max The Impaler & Pom Harajuku might have something going for them after all. Harajuku was understandable scared of the experience, especially when Max lifted her above their head with the intention of throwing her onto the other team. Sakazaki used the team’s lack of cohesion to run circles around them while Mahiro Kiryu focused on beating Harajuku. However Max blew away both Sakazaki & Kiryu with attacks. They then grabbed Harajuku and threw her so she landed on top of Kiryu Pom de Justice style for the surprise three count. After the match Max raised a confused Harajuku’s hand in victory and then pulled her backstage shoulder to shouler. The two are facing The Magical Sugar Rabbits for the Princess Tag Titles on 22nd April. One thing for sure is Sakazaki didn’t figured out how to beat them today.

Being a pro wrestling referee can be a tough job. Shiori Aoki found that out first hand when the SKE48 idol was tasked with officiating a tag match. One with Hyper Misao in it. Misao immediately accused Aoki of bribery because she heard she had a meal with Yuki Arai that Arai paid for a couple of days ago. Misao then ordered her to give Arai a thorough inspection for illegal objects. Aoki did so and completely missed Misao blinding HIMAWARI with a spray can. Misao cradled HIMAWARI and Aoki counted to three. However Daisuke Kiso revealed the result did not count because Aoki never called for the ring bell to start the match. The match restarted with Aoki trying to catch up with Misao’s cheating. Misao’s spray ended up in Arai’s hands. When Aoki grabbed the can and took it away, she accidentally pressed it and sprayed into Aoki’s eyes! HIMAWARI and Shoko Nakajima tried to pin each other with flash moves so for some reason Aoki did a cartwheel before counting the pin. Aoki counted to three for the Northern Lights Suplex and correctly declared Nakajima the winner. Aoki said she felt comfortable in the role and would like to come back as an even stronger referee. HIMAWARI said she will bring her own referee next time so she can win. Meanwhile Arai is trying to figure out if buying a meal for her bandmate counts as bribary then does that mean she should stop eating dinner with her? Kyoraku Kyomei thought she did a good job and she can now be their referee friend. Nakajima encouraged her to go look up footage of Shiro Abe on Youtube so she can imitate him.

An 8-Woman Tag Match put all of the active members of The Up Up Girls together. Wakana Uehara was the unlucky girl to get the full fledge Oyasumi Express attack from all four opponents. She tagged in Toga to get out there but the other rookie didn’t fare much better. Yuki Kamifuku turned things around by resisting the Giant Swing from Miu Watanabe and putting her in a Manjigatame instead. Watanabe countered that into a Front Neck Lock Giant Swing. Kamifuku got her way back into the match by giving both Hikari Noa & Raku the Famouser at the same time. However Watanabe grabbed both her & Uehara in a Double Body Slam. The match came down to Maki Itoh pressuring Shino Suzuki into fighting back against her. Itoh countered a Sleeper Hold with a Chincrusher, landed a DDT and made Suzuki submit to the Itoh Deluxe.

The two youngest rookies Haru Kazashiro and Runa Okubo started off Match #2 against each other. They soon switched out to Haruna Neko and Suzume respectively. Yuki Aino and Arisu Endo then had their exchanges back and forth. Kazashiro tried beating Suzume with a Low Cross Body but Suzume turned things around with a Top Rope Facebuster. She then hit the Ring A Bell for the win.

A missed Overhead Kick may have been what cost Kaya Toribami the match against Moka Miyamoto. It was from that point when Miyamoto took control and kept the attacks up. Toribami was able to hit the Overhead Kick on another attempt but then she missed the Rolling Senton off the second rope. Miyamoto took back the advantage and pinned Toribami with the Korokan.

Hyper Misao is producing her own one-off event called “HYPE!” in Kitazawa Town Hall on 25th May. Misao cannot guarantee that all members of the TJPW roster will be on the show but she wants to create and exciting show for everybody.

A one day trios tournament sponsored by Nivea will take place in Shinagawa on 29th April. The winning team receives a year’s worth of cream care body wash as their prize. Moka Miyamoto Vs Sawyer Wreck will also be on the show in a non-tournament bout.

The Up Up Girls will be holding a solo event in Shinjuku FACE on 10th June.

The 10th annual Tokyo Princess Cup will take place across seven shows this year. The early rounds will be at Ryogoku KFC Hall on 15th, 16th, 17th & 22nd July. The Quarter Finals are at Korakuen Hall on 29th July, the Semi Finals in Korakuen on 12th August and the Final in Korakuen on the 13th.

Yuki Arai & Maki Itoh Vs Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima was announced for 5th May to celebrate Arai’s 2nd anniversary of her wrestling debut.

Coming out of the anniversary show, Pheromones are demanding that Yuki Iino be chosen as the No. 1 Contender for the KO-D Openweight Title. It has been refused by Hisaya Imabayashi and Yuji Hino agrees with the decision. Hino knows Iino is a strong man but he wants nothing to do with that character. At first he said he will only consider giving Iino a title shot if he becomes a serious heavyweight again. Then Makoto Oishi came up with an idea called the World Hino Classic. Pheromones will go through a couple of trial matches and if they win them all then Iino gets his title match. The opening match is being called the Group Of Death because Iino & Danshoku Dieno have to fight the Ω team of Oishi and Bambi. All Pheromones need to do is win this match and they will go straight to the WHC final. What the final is will be revealed if Pheromones make it out of the Group Of Death.

Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Rukiya Ikeda Debut Match: Yuya Koroku Vs Rukiya Ikeda
2. Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Yuni
3. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs HARASHIMA & Keigo Nakamura

A new tag team of HARASHIMA & Keigo Nakamura are next to challenge ShunMao for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. It is the addition of Nakamura to the match that excites MAO & Shunma Katsumata. The two of them have fought HARASHIMA a lot so he’s nothing new. But Nakamura is from the new generation of DDT wrestlers who are all hungry to climb up the ladder. It was Nakamura who wanted to challenge the champions. That took HARASHIMA off guard but he quickly came around on the idea when he realised it is making Nakamura want to work hard.

The elementary school wrestler Yuni finally revealed he was El Unicorn all along and has ditched the mask to start a new chapter in his career. Now in high school, Yuni wants to make a fresh start in wrestling and thinks showing his real face is the best way to go about it. He is back to using the name Yuni but it is now written in katakana instead of hiragana. He is training to grow bigger and stronger for his goal to win the KO-D Title while still in high school. He sees his match against Yuki Ueno as a huge opportunity he does not want to miss.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “STAND ALONE ’23”, 15/04/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao Vs Yuki Arai & HIMAWARI (Special Referee: Shiori Aoki)
2. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) Vs Nao Kakuta

Last December Mizuki chose Nao Kakuta to be part of her 10th Anniversary match. This week Kakuta returned the favour by telling Mizuki she wants to fight her for the Princess Of Princess Title. It is a challenge Mizuki says she cannot refuse.

SKE48 idol Shiori Aoki gets to be a pro wrestling referee. There’s a conflict of interest though because Yuki Arai will be wrestling in the match. Does Aoki go on to play favorites or even go the complete opposite way and screw over her fellow idol? Even if she calls everything fair and square, having to officiate a Kyoraku Kyomei match sounds way too much for a rookie referee to handle.

DDT “YAMADA FISHERIES PRESENTS 4.23 SHIBUSHI FISH MEAT DECISIVE BATTLE @ UNAGI STATION”, 23/04/2023
Kagoshima Shibushi City Unagi Station

1. Fish Vs Meat Full-Scale Battle! Special 6-Man Tag Match: Shishamo Power, Unagi Mask & Super Unagi Mask Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida

The war between fish eaters and meat eaters went lopsided after Kazusada Higuchi betrayed Shishamo Power & Unagi Mask last month. Higuchi revealed he prefers meat over seafood so jumped over to side with Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida for the next match in the feud. The seafood team looked to be in trouble until the president of Yamada Suisan revealed the company has been developing another Unagi Mask wrestler to even the odds. According to the president, Super Unagi Mask is more well-trained than the regular Unagi Mask. He thinks the two of them would work well together in a seafood wrestling Tag League. Sanshiro Takagi likes the idea and will consider launching Yamada Suisan Pro Wrestling if the seafood team wins their battle against the meat eaters.

Shiro Koshinaka and Rayne Leverkusen will both be on the show.

DDT “MEGA MAX BUMP 2023 IN YOKOHAMA”, 03/05/2023
Yokohama Budokan

1. Chiitan☆Debut Match: Chiitan Vs X
2. International Special Single Match: Saki Akai Vs Rayne Leverkusen
3. DDT Extreme Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs Shunma Katsumata
4. DDT Universal Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs MAO
5. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuji Hino (c) Vs X

So at the moment Hino will be defending the KO-D Title at Yokohama Budokan. He just does not have an official opponent yet. It might be Iino if Pheromones win the World Hino Classic.

Things are going well again for Tetsuya Endo now he is the new DDT Universal Champion. He considers Naruki Doi a friend and wants to see him sticking around in DDT. What Endo does not like is having MAO as his first defence. However the pride of the Miyagi prefecture is on the line with Endo representing Shiroishi City and MAO representing Osaki City. This side will determine which city is the best!

Both ShunMao wrestlers have a chance of becoming double champions at the same time. Shunma Katsumata challenges Jun Akiyama for the DDT Extreme Title. It will be back to the crazy stuff for Akiyama after having such a nice, normal and relaxing match with Kotaro Suzuki.

Rayne Leverkusen is debuting for DDT in April but her only match announced so far is a singles bout against Saki Akai in May.

The insane mascot Chiitan makes its pro wrestling debut. Its presence has already driven Chris Brookes into a murderous rage so he’ll probably be involved in the match. Maybe Pokotan can be a part of it too.

Nick Wayne will be on the show making his first appearance in Japan for DDT.

DDT “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2023”, 23/07/2023
Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan

1. Dramatic Dream Match: Daisuke Sasaki Vs El Desperado

Turns out Daisuke Sasaki kept himself busy while he was out from injury. Instead of staying around in bed he went out, did the work and signed up a dream match for himself against El Desperado from New Japan! Desperado is an interesting figure, constantly referring to the wider pro wrestling scene in Japan on his social media. At times it looked like that was the only interactions with other wrestlers that the public would get to see. But as the scene opens up more in order to get fans back into the arenas Desperado is at the forefront of getting into matches with wrestlers outside of NJPW. In a past life he’s had a little bit of involvement in DDT related shows. He’s been part of a few Monthly Young Communication shows that happened back in 2011. Only recently Sasaki and Desperado fought each other in a tag match that ended in a DQ so there is some bad blood between the two going into this dream bout.
