DDT/TOKYO JOSHI PRO/DEFY “TRIANGLER DTD”, 10/11/2024 Washington Hall, Seattle, Washington, USA 389 Fans
1. Vert Vixen, Yuki Kamifuku & Moka Miyamoto defeated Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Aino & Arisu Endo when Vixen pinned Endo with a Sit Down Power Bomb (8:38).
2. Bryan Keith defeated Shota with the Diamond Dust (7:59).
3. Maki Itoh & Zara Zakher defeated Amira & Danika Della Rouge when Itoh pinned Rouge with the I.S.D (8:41).
4. Daisuke Sasaki & Kohei Kinoshita Vs Danshoku Dieno & Randy Myers ended in a No Contest (9:32).
5. Miu Watanabe & Suzume defeated Mizuki & Wakana Uehara when Watanabe pinned Uehara with the Tear Drop (10:33).
6. DEFY Women’s Title: Marina Shafir (c) defeated Shoko Nakajima with the Mother’s Milk (14:08). *V4 for Marina Shafir.
7. Special Single Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA defeated Yuni with the Wagamama (12:14).
8. DDT Universal Title – 3 Way Match: Gringo Loco defeated Miyu Yamashita (c) and Nick Wayne when Loco pinned Yamashita with the Base Bomb (17:08). *Miyu Yamashita fails in V1. Gringo Loco becomes the 16th DDT Universal Champion.
9. Special Tag Match: Judas Icarus & Travis Williams defeated MAO & Mike Bailey when Icarus pinned Bailey after the Sudden Silence (22:06).
The Seattle weekender came to an end with DDT, Tokyo Joshi Pro and DEFY all getting together for one big finale. The Moonlight Express were back together as a tag team after being opponents yesterday. Sadly for them their reunion was spoiled by Sinner & Saint. The DEFY team came out on top and think it won’t be the last time you’ll see them in DDT. Afterwards backstage MAO asked Mike Bailey when will he wrestle for DDT in Japan again because the last time he came back to the country it was for another company. Bailey doesn’t know but The Moonlight Express would like to team up in Japan one more time.
Easy come, easy go. Miyu Yamashita’s surprising reign as the DDT Universal Champion has already come to an end when her decision to compete in another 3 Way championship match this weekend blew up in her face. She was able to knock Nick Wayne out of the way with the Skull Kick but still had Gringo Loco to deal with. Loco gave her the Fire Thunder and pinned her with the Base Bomb to become the new Universal Champion! Loco said he is on top of the world and nobody can stop the wave he is riding on. Wayne hates that he lose but also called Yamashita the best joshi in the world and Loco the best luchador. He wants to come back to DDT and win the Universal Title. Yamashita was so shocked over the loss she didn’t give any post-match comments.
The teacher Konosuke Takeshita gave his student Yuni a big test today. Yuni had to fight him one on one to show how much he has grown since their last match together. Yuni gave it his best shot including doing a Dragonrana to Takeshita outside the ring. Takeshita ended up winning and told Yuni to go find a style of wrestling that only he can show to everyone else. When he finds it, the KO-D Openweight Title will be in his reach!
Shoko Nakajima put up a strong challenge for Marina Shafir on short notice but wasn’t able to win the DEFY Women’s Title from her. Shafir said Nakajima will never understand the sacrifices that were made for her to keep this title and she plans to retire undefeated as the champion. Nakajima calls Shafir a monster fighter and she hopes to get a rematch some day.
Miu Watanabe is happy she gets to leave Seattle with some happy memories. After being beaten by Zara Zakher yesterday, Watanabe was able to get a win today with Suzume on her side. Their opponents Mizuki & Wakana Uehara also had a fun time despite losing.
Match #4 was thrown out thanks to the lewd antics of Danshoku Dieno, Randy Myers and also Yoshihiko. Actually it wasn’t just them because Kohei Kinoshita joined in on their shenanigans too much to Daisuke Sasaki’s dismay. Sasaki wants to know why Kinoshita came all the way to Seattle to do even worse things than what he does in Japan? Sasaki will challenge them all to a 3-on-1 Handicap match if he has to get revenge that way!
At least Maki Itoh can say her weekend was all highs with no lows. She teamed up with Zakher and had their hands raised in victory. Zakher wants to continue the momentum when she travels to Japan next week. She plans to bring the Princess Of Princess Title back to America with her. Meanwhile Danika Della Rouge blamed Amira for losing the match and swears she will never team with her again.
It’s been around seven months since Shota went freelance and he admits he’s been struggling to break out. He lost to his friend Bryan Keith today after they weren’t on the same page as a team the day before. He hopes the ass kicking he took today will help motivate him from now on. Keith warned Shota not to go about making him his enemy. He also misses DDT and believes it is only a matter of time before he goes back there to hunt for gold.
Unusual trios were the name of the game for the opening match. Yuki Kamifuku didn’t know what to expect teaming up with Vert Vixen & Moka Miyamoto but they pulled out the win in the end. The other team however were in a bad mood for losing. Arisu Endo is frustrated she took the fall, Yuki Aino felt like she didn’t give it her all and Rika Tatsumi is mad her win rate in America is so bad!
TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW BRIGHT EYES”, 09/11/2024 Washington Hall, Seattle, Washington, USA 405 Fans
1. Suzume & Arisu Endo defeated Rika Tatsumi & Amira when Suzume pinned Amira with the Ring A Bell (10:21).
2. Yuki Kamifuku defeated Wakana Uehara with the Famouser (7:19).
3. Rebel Kel defeated Moka Miyamoto with a Falcon Arrow (5:45).
4. Mizuki defeated Liiza Hall with the Diving Foot Stomp (11:07).
5. Yuki Aino & Zara Zakher defeated Miu Watanabe & Shoko Nakajima when Zakher pinned Watanabe with the Control Z (16:43).
6. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh (c) defeated Vert Vixen & Nicole Matthews when Yamashita pinned Matthews with the Skull Kick (24:05). *V1 for 121000000.
A packed weekend in Seattle began with Tokyo Joshi Pro running their own show with a little help from DEFY. The main event was a familiar scenario for 121000000. They have travelled to America with their newly won Princess Tag Team Titles and do not want a repeat of their last reign that ended in America on their first defence. The odds were better in their favour this time because the challengers Vert Vixen & Nicole Matthews were not a finely tuned tag team like The Magical Sugar Rabbits were. Even with out of the ring brawling and a few mishaps along the way, Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh stayed on the same page, headbutting each other to fire themselves up before beating their opponents.
The champions celebrated with Yamashita thanking the fans while Itoh asked them who is the cutest in the world? Yamashita then invited the entire locker room down to the ring to close out the show with one big group get together. She also announced TJPW’s next US appearance will be in April. TJPW later confirmed the next USA show is at Las Vegas on 18th April for The Collective during Wrestlemania Week.
Backstage Vixen & Matthews blamed each other for losing and argued over cheating (Matthews wanted to cheat more, Vixen prefers to fight clean). Itoh said it would have been traumatic for her if they lost the titles in America again but she won so she’s already forgotten about the last time it happened. Yamashita told her it was because they believed in each other. She also reminded her the goal for this reign is to defend the belts 10 times or else 121000000 will disband. Yamashita also said if she wins the DDT Universal Title at the DDT show tonight she wants to give Itoh a title shot.
Newly signed under the WWE ID initiative, Zara Zakher sure is looking like the belle of the ball right now. An end to a good week has gone even better after she scored a pinfall over Miu Watanabe before their Princess Of Princess Title match back in Japan next week. Shoko Nakajima tried to hold off Zakher as best as she could but Yuki Aino proved to be a good counter for her. Aino gave Watanabe a Running Bulldog while Zakher took out Nakajima with a Spinebuster. She then backflipped past Watanabe and gave her an RKO before pinning her with the Control Z. Watanabe is wondering if she became too overwhelmed by the Seattle fans or if she has become weak. She promised not to lose the title to Zakher on 16th November.
Most of the undercard pitted TJPW against North America. Mizuki beat Liiza Hall in a close fought battle. The Casadora into a Double Stomp left Hall as a sitting duck for the proper Diving Foot Stomp to finish her off. Mizuki likes Hall’s fighting style and gets a happy vibe from her. That’s partly because it was Hall’s first DEFY match in over a year.
Moka Miyamoto lost to Rebel Kel. As much as Miyamoto was excited to wrestle in Seattle, Kel was too full of adrenaline to be stopped by Miyamoto’s Karate skills. The size difference played a part too. Kel was too tall for Miyamoto to use the Rashomon on so Kel powered out of it and pinned Miyamoto with a Falcon Arrow.
The recent success of Yuki Kamifuku is being recognized worldwide because the fans chanted “Queen Of Asia” at her while she fought Wakana Uehara. After winning the match Kamifuku wrapped Uehara’s long hair around her hand and led her away backstage just to add insult to injury. Kamifuku said she is overwhelmed that the fans knew about her wrestling exploits in Southeast Asia and hopes today’s match will inspire Uehara to try doing something in America.
Daisy Monkey defeated Rika Tatsumi & Amira to open up the show. Amira could have pinned Suzume with a Fisherman Suplex but Arisu Endo broke the pin. Daisy Monkey then outmaneuvered their opponents, leading them into a Falling Facecrusher and Mt. Tsuruga double spot. Suzume then pinned Amira with the Ring A Bell. They were happy with the support they got from fans and want to come back.
TOKYO JOSHI PRO “MAHIRO KIRYU TRIUMPHANT RETURN ~TOKYO JOSHI SHINOYABO~”, 03/11/2024 Gunma G-Messe Main Hall C (Takasaki City) 262 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House
1. Yoshiko Hasegawa defeated Uta Takami with the Muffler Hold (7:14).
2. Kaya Toribami & Toga defeated Suzume & Haruna Neko when Toribami pinned Neko with the Sento Choryu (8:47).
3. 3 Way Match: Rika Tatsumi defeated Pom Harajuku and Arisu Endo when Tatsumi pinned Harajuku with the Sliding Hip (8:04).
4. Next Generation Tournament ’24 – Round 1: Wakana Uehara defeated Chika Nanase with the Banana Pillow (8:23).
5. Maki Itoh & Kira Summer defeated Shoko Nakajima & HIMAWARI when Itoh submitted HIMAWARI with the Itoh Deluxe (11:07).
6. Mizuki, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro defeated Miu Watanabe, Raku & Shino Suzuki when Mizuki pinned Suzuki with the Cutie Special (12:09).
7. Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Miyu Yamashita & Moka Miyamoto when Kiryu pinned Miyamoto with the Spinebuster (12:40).
Even in her hometown Mahiro Kiryu cannot help but take responsibility for everything that happens around her. She aplogised early in the match for her part in promoting the show to make Gunma a more appealing place to visit. Yuki Kamifuku then instructed her to bow to all four sides of the room. Kamifuku was also there to even the odds when Kiryu had to fight Miyu Yamashita. Kamifuku poked Yamashita in the eyes and took her out with the Famouser. It was all up to Kiryu from that point on and she was able to beat Moka Miyamoto with the Spinebuster.
Kiryu was happy to see so many people from Gunma come to see the show today because it is her first time wrestling here. When she first started her wrestling career she made so many people worry for her and today she got to prove to them she is doing well. Kamifuku praised her for working so hard and also thinking of ways to repay her hometown. The Toyo Mates then decided to apologize in the ring together to end the show. Kiryu is very sorry about today and she loves Gunma! Backstage Kamifuku said when she saw Kiryu from a distance today she looked like Shohei Ohtani. She likes to think Kiryu is a two-way player too by being a kind person as well as a pro wrestler, so she might start calling her “Shohei From Gunma” from now on.
Things are currently on track for Wakana Uehara to become a repeat winner of the Next Generation Tournament. She had to fight off Chika Nanase from using the Inari Torii to spin her into the Banana Pillow for the win. She’ll be facing Haru Kazashiro in the semi-finals and does not know what to expect in their first singles match against each other. One thing’s for sure is she thinks she definitely won’t lose. Nanase was disappointed because she thought she gave it her all but it wasn’t good enough. She’ll have to start from scratch so when she does her best the next time, she will win.
Pop the champagne bottles because this month Konosuke Takeshita won his first AEW championship! The first of many I hope. After he finally achieved his crowning glory he… didn’t wrestle again in AEW for the rest of the month. Typical, eh? But he did wrestle elsewhere, up north in fact. And those were some pretty good matches too. His performances this month was enough to have Dave Meltzer call him one of the best wrestlers in the world. Other than that it was kind of a quiet month for everyone else I cover for this article. Yuka Sakazaki had a match in ROH then fantasized about murdering RJ City for Halloween, Shoko Nakajima was in DPW for a tournament final, Yuki Kamifuku continues being the Queen of Asia and Miyu Yamashita went to Canada.
Things are going to pick up in November though. DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro are having their shows with DEFY in Seattle, MAO and Yoshihiko are going on another European adventure together, Takeshita has stuff lined up with New Japan for the promotion’s next couple of USA shows, Yamashita will be paying GCW another visit and Pom Harajuku is going to be let loose in Southeast Asia. If that’s not enough we even have a peak at what to look forward to in 2025.

1. Yuka Sakazaki defeated Viva Van with the Magical Girl Splash (5:44).
Sakazaki’s move over to ROH this month involved a tricky challenge against Viva Van. She was kept on her toes by Van bridging out of a pin and making Sakazaki flinch with a fakeout attack from the ropes. Sakazaki got her own back by also bridging out of a pin and doing her own Sliding Lariat, no fake out needed. She went on to win by using the Magical Merry-Go-Round as well as the Magical Girl Splash.
AEW “WRESTLEDREAM”, 12/10/2024 Tacoma Dome, Tacoma, Washington, USA
1. AEW International Title: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Will Ospreay (c) and Ricochet when Takeshita pinned Ospreay with the Powerdrive Knee (20:42). *V3 for Will Ospreay fails in V3. Konosuke Takeshita becomes the 10th AEW International Champion!
What a wonderful sight this was. Takeshita was part of a great match with Will Ospreay and Ricochet where everyone went balls to the wall. Takeshita took Ricochet out of the match by putting him through a table at ringside with the Reverse Implant. He also kicked out of Ospreay’s Hidden Blade but looked to be finished when Ospreay hit him with another one. That was when Don Callis pulled the referee out of the ring mid-count. Ospreay got his hands on Callis but just when he was about to give him the Tiger Driver ’91, Kyle Fletcher ran in and hit him over the head with a screwdriver. Takeshita then hit Ospreay with the Powerdrive Knee to win the AEW International Title. Even with the dirty finish the match got a *****1/2 rating from Meltzer.
DEXCON “JAM OF THE JOSHIS”, 13/10/2024 Brawl Pit Bulusan, Manila, Philippines
1. Queen Of Asia Title & VPW Women’s Title: Yuki Kamifuku (c/c) defeated Chelsea Marie with the Diving Famouser (?:??). *V4 for the Queen Of Asia Title. V2 for the VPW Women’s Title.
The Philippines is where Yuki Kamifuku had her next defence of the Asian Double Crown. She had a close match against Chelsea Marie in what was just as much a battle of beauty as it was wits and skill. Marie almost won by putting Kamifuku in the Code Of Silence submission hold but the champ’s leg was long enough to reach over for a rope break. Marie climbed the ropes but was left vulnerable after Kamifuku reached out and poked her in the eye. Kamifuku Dropkicked her opponent off the turnbuckles then climbed up the same corner to hit the Diving Famouser and win the match.
DPW “SUPER BATTLE”, 13/10/2024 Grady Cole Center, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
1. Battle Of The Best – Final: Dani Luna defeated Shoko Nakajima with a Fireman’s Carry Bomb (13:17).
The winner of the Battle Of The Best tournament would be given a shot at the DPW Women’s World Title so Nakajima was on the cusp of getting that title shot. It wasn’t meant to be unfortunately. Dani Luna kicked out of the Northern Lights Suplex and prevented Nakajima from doing the Diving Senton by kicking her off the top rope. Nakajima didn’t expect Luna to then grab her on the apron from the ropes and throw her back into the ring with a Slingshot German Suplex. It was stunning enough for Luna to pin Nakajima with a Fireman’s Carry Bomb to win the tournament.
MAPLE LEAF PRO “FORGED IN EXCELLENCE – NIGHT 1”, 19/10/2024 St. Clair College, Windsor, Ontario, Canada
1. Gisele Shaw defeated Miyu Yamashita with the Denoument (12:36).
2. Konosuke Takeshita defeated Mike Bailey with the Raging Fire (24:39).
The debut weekend of Maple Leaf Pro had both Takeshita and Yamashita taking part in featured matches. The main event of Night 1 was Takeshita and Mike Bailey showing North America what they were missing when Speedball spent most of his time in Japan for DDT. It was already a cross-promotional match between AEW and TNA that became an even bigger deal because it was also the AEW International Champion against the X Division Champion! Bailey kicked out of the Powerdrive Knee but was put away with the Raging Fire. It was another match of Takeshita’s that Meltzer gave the ***** to this month.
History will look back on Miyu Yamashita Vs Gisele Shaw as the buffer match that was placed in between one of the best matches of the year and one of the worst. I admit that’s an unfair way to look at things so seek this out because it was a pretty good match. Had Yamashita won she would have been added to the ROH Women’s World Title match on Night 2. But Shaw wasn’t going to let her get in the way and won this match with her own Running Knee Strike.
MAPLE LEAF PRO “FORGED IN EXCELLENCE – NIGHT 2”, 20/10/2024 St. Clair College, Windsor, Ontario, Canada
1. Miyu Yamashita & Kylie Rae defeated Laynie Luck & Harley Cameron when Yamashita pinned Luck with the Skull Kick (9:26).
2. AEW International Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) defeated Josh Alexander with the Raging Fire (29:31). *V1 for Konosuke Takeshita.
The last time Takeshita fought Josh Alexander one on one it ended in a time limit draw. For the rematch he was putting the AEW International Title on the line. Just like the night before, Takeshita almost won with the Powerdrive Knee and had to use the Raging Fire to put away his opponent. But after the match he and Don Callis decided to continue the attack on Alexander until Ricochet made a surprise appearance to fight Takeshita. The two of them would butt heads again in AEW later in the month so this looks to be Takeshita’s AEW program for November.
On Night 1 Kylie Rae was attacked by Laynie Luck & Harley Cameron so Yamashita’s role here was to even the odds for a tag match. While Rae took care of Cameron outside the ring, Yamashita pinned Luck with the Skull Kick inside the ring.

1. Arisu Endo & Toga defeated Kira Summer & Chika Nanase when Endo submitted Nanase with the Camel Clutch (9:20).
2. Haruna Neko Return Match: Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Haruna Neko, Suzume & Mahiro Kiryu when Aino pinned Neko with the Venus DDT (10:18).
3. Next Generation Tournament ’24 – Round 1: Haru Kazashiro defeated Uta Takami with the Fisherman Suplex (6:49).
4. Yuki Kamifuku defeated Runa Okubo with two Famousers (8:15).
5. Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami defeated Shoko Nakajima & Yoshiko Hasegawa when Miyamoto submitted Hasegawa with the Rashomon (12:38).
6. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Rika Tatsumi & HIMAWARI when Yamashita pinned HIMAWARI with a Buzzsaw Kick (12:30).
7. Miu Watanabe & Wakana Uehara defeated Mizuki & Shino Suzuki when Watanabe pinned Suzuki with the Tear Drop. (11:59).
After the main event Miu Watanabe threw her support behind Wakana Uehara for the Next Generation Tournament. She’ll be cheering her on and encouraged Wakana to talk about it because she loves her enthusiasm. Uehara said she will definitely win the tournament for the second year in a row.
Today is the last time we’ll see Runa Okubo in a wrestling ring, at least for now. She is going on an indefinite hiatus to focus on her high school education so for her final match she got to face the person she most admires on the roster, Yuki Kamifuku. For the occasion Kamifuku used the Famouser twice to win the match before hugging Okubo afterwards. Okubo thanked everyone for taking care of her for the last year and seven months. Thnaks to pro wrestling she was able to meet so many wonderful people and she will love them always. Backstage Kamifuku said Okubo is at a sensitive point in her life because of her age and she wants her to live her life well. It’ll up to “that brat” Okubo to make the most of it. Okubo said she is sorry for her fans and her parents that she hasn’t shown her true potential yet. She wants to work hard and not make excuses.
The other two teenage girls on the roster faced each other in the Next Generation Tournament. Haru Kazashiro got the win over Uta Takami by hitting the Low Cross Body followed by the Fisherman Suplex. Kazashiro is said that Okubo is going away but knows it isn’t a goodbye so she wanted to show her how much she has grown. She is also glad to see how much Takami is having fun with wrestling every time they meet in the ring. Kazashiro wanted to win the match today not to crush Takami’s potential but to expand it even more. Takami admitted she went into the match with fake confidence to convince herself that she would win. She realised during the match that it was a bad idea because whenever she senses genuine intensity it feels different.
Haruna Neko is finally back after spending so long recovering from a torn ACL and torn meniscus in her left knee. The Love Triangle celebrated her return by all wearing cat ears before the match began. The ring rust still needs to be shaken off because Neko dropped the fall in her first match back, losing when Yuki Aino dodged the Nekodebreaker and pinned her with the Venus DDT. Aino had kind words to say about Neko’s return and believe she found a way to still get stronger during her recovery. Also according to Nao Kakuta online she was at the show today to see Neko’s return match.
The teams for the Rakuhan Vs Pom-chan Army team challenged on 10th November were picked before today’s show began. The Rakuhan consists of captain Raku, HIMAWARI, Ryo Mizunami, Ram Kaichow, Haru Kazashiro, Yuki Arai, Shino Suzuki and Chika Nanase. The Pom-chan Army is captain Pom Harajuku, Kaya Toribami, Mahiro Kiryu, Yoshiko Hasegawa, Uta Takami, Haruna Neko, Kira Summer and Toga. The winning team will receive 10kg of broiled eel as their prize because the show is now being sponsored by the Yamada Suisan seafood company.
Hyper Misao announced her return match from injury will take place on 22nd November. She has been out of action since April with a fractured ankle she suffered at the “GCW VS TJPW” show in America.
There will be a weekend of shows in January where TJPW will be at Mizuki and Yuki Aino’s hometowns. Mizuki’s show in Kobe is on 11th January and Aino’s show in Okayama is on the 12th.

Seattle is where MAO will have his first defence of his latest DDT Universal Title reign. It’s going to be a 3 Way Match and Yamashita is one of the opponents, making it her first time she will be properly fighting for a DDT championship (other than the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title). The other opponent is a mystery for now.
One of the other new matches on the show is on the DEFY end of things. Cody Chhun & Guillermo Rosas are known together as C4 and they are the current DEFY Tag Team Champions. One of the other regular teams is Eddie Pearl & Ricky Gibson, aka Midnight Heat. The third team have previously been opponents against each other. Bryan Keith was somebody that Shota faced during one of his American excursions two years ago.
Marina Shafir will be on the show. If Kazuki Hirata isn’t her opponent then what are we doing here (I’m predicting Yoshihiko is in the 3 Way Match)?

BJW “KING OF DEATHMATCH WORLD GP TOURNAMENT”, 31/12/2024 Tokyo Korakuen Hall
The annual New Year’s Eve show that Big Japan, DDT and others have held together for almost two decades is not going ahead this year. Instead of doing a Shuffle Tag Tournament with DDT, Big Japan will instead hold their own one night international death match tournament. BJW’s president Eiji Tosaka wants to show the power of Japan’s death matches to the world especially since next year will be the company’s 30th Anniversary. He asked DDT for their blessing and they agreed to let him do this show at Korakuen Hall instead of the usual Shuffle Tag Tournament.
It’s a disappointing decision but also one I understand. DDT will be running Sumo Hall a few days before New Year’s Eve so that will be their priority for the end of 2024. Also the New Year’s Eve show itself has been dwindling in popularity and interest over the last few years, particularly coming out of the covid pandemic where the show can’t even be held close to midnight anymore. So while I will miss the Shuffle Tag Tournament, the truth is it’s time to try something different. Big Japan’s idea kind of reminds me of the annual “BLOOD X’MAS” shows that FREEDOMS and Jun Kasai both produce every Christmas. Can they reach the same heights though? If there are any DDT wrestlers entering the tournament (Shunma Katsumata would be the likely choice) I will post updates and the show results when they happen. If not then at least that’s less stuff for me to worry about on New Year’s Eve.

It was announced yesterday that Runa Okubo will be taking an indefinite hiatus from pro wrestling at the end of the month to focus on her education. She is currently in high school and told Tokyo Joshi Pro she’s been having difficulties with balancing pro wrestling with her studies so a decision was made by the company and her guardians to put her wrestling career on hold for the time being. Okubo’s final match for now will be against Yuki Kamifuku. Her opponent is not going to take it easy on her though. Kamifuku said she is going to pluck out Okubo’s eyes and sell them off like jewelry!
BASARA “BASARA 260 ~KOO~”, 30/10/2024 Shin-Kiba 1st RING
Over the weekend BASARA announced that Daiki Shimomura’s one year suspension had come to an end and he will be returning to wrestling at the end of this month. Shimomura was suspended from all BASARA related activities last October over an incident that was only reported as inappropriate behavior from his private life. To this day I still haven’t heard anything to even suggest what the incident was. But it was enough that BASARA had to make a public apology afterward while Shimomura had to disappear from wrestling for a year. His return match has him in the ring with the other members of Sento Minzoku.

All of the Right To Challenge Shields have been used up so now its back to traditional ways to get title matches. Chris Brookes challenged Shinya Aoki for the KO-D Openweight Title to see which one of them loves DDT more.
The feud between SCHADENFREUDE International and DAMNATION T.A continues with Takeshi Masada and Ilusion facing each other one on one. Ilusion wants to destroy Masada’s pretty face!
An all mascot showdown is taking place thanks to Pokotan and Touchi-kun. Originally Pokotan wanted to fight the Japan Self-Defence Force mascot but changed his tune after watching Touchi-kun’s training for the match. Now Pokotan wants to team up with Touchi-kun to take on another tag team. DDT held a press conference today annnouncing that the other team will also be made up of mascots. Oshinari-kun is the mascot for the Oshinari Shopping District and Higapyon is the mascot of Tokyo Higashi Shinkin Bank, the business that owns the naming rights for the venue. Shinichiro Kawamatsu brought the two mascots to a shrine for the announcement but didn’t expect Pokotan to show up and attack Oshinari-kun with a steel basin! However he held back from attacking Higapyon because he thinks that mascot is cute.
Tickets for the show are free so there are a lot of sponsorships up and down the card to fund the event.

The Next Generation Tournament begins with on this show.
Shoko Nakajima will be in America for Deadlock Pro competing in the Battle Of The Best final so she will be missing this show. Yuki Kamifuku will also be absent because she will be defending the Asian Double Crown over in the Philippines.

A team of five from DDT’s new generation are going to challenge for the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles. SCHADENFREUDE have Takayuki Ueki subbing in for Antonio Honda but he was part of the team when they originally won the belts anyway. So it may as well be the champions entering the match at full force.
MIKAMI makes another DDT appearance this year.
One day before the DDT Extreme Title is defended, Akito and Danshoku Dieno are facing off in a wacky tag match with Pokotan and Yoshihiko also involved. The stipulation for the title match hasn’t been chosen yet but it would be leaving it very late if this match is meant to set it up.

6. Yuki Kamifuku defeated Kuroshio TOKYO Japan with an Ikemen Clutch Counter (5:58).
7. Ryo Mizunami defeated Arisu Endo with the HOT LIMIT (10:20).
8. Special Tag Match: Meiko Satomura & Shoko Nakajima defeated Miu Watanabe & Miyu Yamashita when Satomura pinned Yamashita with the Death Valley Bomb (18:40).
A grudge from seven years ago has been rekindled. Meiko Satomura first entered Tokyo Joshi Pro in 2017 to have a match against Miyu Yamashita and didn’t see the hype about her at all. She defeated her in an overwhelming fashion and that result has stuck with Yamashita all this time. So when news came out that Satomura will retire from wrestling next year, Yamashita quickly convinced TJPW to bring Satomura back so she can get a crack at revenge. It was decided that Yamashita will team with Miu Watanabe, bringing Momoiro Sparkling back together. It would also give Satomura a chance to wrestle the new top star of the promotion. Meanwhile Satomura was paired with Shoko Nakajima, partly because both of them are from Niigata so they at least had one reason to get along.
Satomura was the big target for Momoiro Sparkling. Yamashita in particular threw everything she had at her. She escaped the Death Valley Bomb to hit the Skull Kick but Satomura kicked out of it. She then went for the Crash Rabbit Heat but Satomura blocked it and returned fire with a Back Drop. Yamashita had the Scorpio Rising scouted and looked to have turned the tables again but Nakajima cut her momentum off before wiping out Watanabe with a Topé con Hilo. From there Satomura took over, landing two Death Valley Bombs on Yamashita. She then used the Scorpio Rising but didn’t hit the move right so she went back to using one more Death Valley Bomb to pin Yamashita for the three count.
After the match Yamashita stared and Satomura and wanted to strike her. Satomura stopped Yamashita and ordered her to stand back in her corner with Watanabe. She then got on the microphone and said even though TJPW’s style is different from other promotions, once you step inside the ring everyone becomes your enemy! Satomura will be retiring in six months time and before that happens she is planning to come back to TJPW for another match. So if there is anyone who in TJPW who wants to fight her again she will be waiting for them! Backstage Yamashita wasted little time in telling reporters she wants a singles match against Satomura because she cannot let her retire without finally being able to kick her down. Watanabe and Nakajima also showed interest in wanting to fight Satomura more after they heard her post-match speech.
Arisu Endo was also given a big wall to climb for her match. Both she and Ryo Mizunami were coming off of title match defeats at “WRESTLE PRINCESS V” so they were hungry for a bounce back victory. Endo used a Sleeper Hold to take Mizunami down to the mat to move into the Camel Clutch. But Mizunami was too stubborn to stay down from Endo’s further attacks and escaped from the Ju no Okite. She turned Endo inside out with a Lariat and then won the match with the HOT LIMIT. She said Endo has a long way to go but what’s charming about her is her incredible originality. She can tell Endo is starting to enjoy wrestling and feel fulfilled by it. She could become a fearsome wrestler in two or three years time. Endo thinks she gained more than she lost from this match. Mizunami’s power and passion motivates her to take another step forward.
With the Asian Double Crown match postponed until Xia Zhao can sort out her visa problem, Yuki Kamifuku was given a mystery opponent instead. The dreaded X turned out to be Kuroshio TOKYO Japan, full blown entrance and all! Kamifuku was confused by Kuroshio’s delayed entrance especially when the song ended and he left the room, only to return when the song restarted. When he was finally ready to start the match he told Kamifuku he heard she would like to have a match with him some day. So when he found out she needed an opponent on short notice, he was happy to answer the call. Kamifuku said that is true but she doesn’t want to do the match today. She then called him an idiot for not understanding how women feel. Kuroshio took offence and attacked her. He then brought her out to the front row just so he could attack her in front of one of her biggest fans. Back in the ring Kamifuku fought back and hit the Famouser for a nearfall. Kuroshio made a comeback but his Ikemen Clutch finisher was countered out of nowhere, resulting in Kamifuku pulling off the upset victory. She later praised Kuroshio for being the surprise opponent. She appreciated that he came dressed like someone from TJPW would and thinks they could even team together next time. Kuroshio though wanted to make it clear this appearance wasn’t meant to be a polite gesture. He really wanted to win and then challenge Kamifuku for her two championships.
Can you believe today was the very first time Maki Itoh & Rika Tatsumi teamed up together for a regular tag match? Maybe it’s for a good reason because Tatsumi was really enthusiastic for Itoh’s singing entrance. It was enough to annoy Itoh and throw off their team dynamic before the match even began. Yuna Manase & HIMAWARI were a little off-kilter too by they had the teamwork to make up for it. As the match went on Itoh dragged HIMAWARI out of the ring and tied her hair up against the bleacher handrail by the entrance. While Manase went over to free her, Itoh & Tatsumi started in-fighting again and even attacked each other. Things calmed down between them until Itoh missed a Headbutt aimed for HIMAWARI that hit Tatsumi instead. HIMAWARI then tricked Tatsumi into choking Itoh in the corner. Sensing victory, HIMAWARI tried to put Tatsumi in a Half Crab Hold but it was countered into an Inside Cradle for the three count. Tatsumi shook Itoh’s hand after the match but Itoh responded by giving her the middle finger.
Trust the bunny rabbit to bring a weapon for a fight against a giant panda. Mizuki carried a Pico Pico Hammer to the ring, jumped off the top rope and landed a direct hit right onto Andreza Giant Panda’s noggin. Mahiro Kiryu was horrified by her partner’s actions and forced Mizuki to apologise with her. Andreza recovered and knocked back Kiryu with a Spinning Back Fist. Shino Suzuki tagged in to do the heavy lifting while Andreza recovered out of the ring. He returned but was cut off by Kiryu demanded that he too should apologise to everyone. Andreza took a moment to consider before kneeling down on the canvas to apologise dogeza style. Then he got back up and immediately Headbutted Kiryu. Andreza went for another Headbutt that missed Mizuki and hit Suzuki instead. Mizuki brought out a rope and ran circles around Andreza to make him trip over. She then hit a Diving Foot Stomp and had Kiryu keep the panda down so she could pin Suzuki with the Cutie Special. Backstage Andreza apologised to Suzuki via his handler.
With Endo busy being a singles wrestler today, Suzume went to team with Yoshiko Hasegawa. The pairing worked out well and the two of them defeated Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami. Miyamoto did her part in getting rid of Suzume but Toribami found herself going back and forth against Hasegawa. It ended in Hasegawa’s favour with her hitting the Diving Double Knee Attack for the win.
Halloween is this month so the Love Triangle were in a trick or treat mood. Yuki Aino brought out a brand new red and pink costume for the match while Pom Harajuku wore a paper mask of Mahiro Kiryu’s face to make fun of Kakeru Sekiguchi. She even tried to copy Kiryu’s apology as a joke but Sekiguchi told her to do it properly. Aino almost pinned Chika Nanase with a Senton but Kira Summer broke the pin. Sekiguchi tried to follow up but was taken out by the teamwork of Raku & Harajuku. Aino was then clear to beat Nanase with the Venus DDT.
The opening match was a preview for the Next Generation Tournament beginning later this month with four of the eight participants facing off in a tag bout.
