5. Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku defeated Yuji Hino, Yukio Naya, Ilusion & El Unicorn when Koroku submitted Unicorn with a Crab Hold (14:38).
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & Asuka defeated Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi (c) when MAO pinned Brookes with the Osaka Rinkai Upper (14:08). *CDK fails in V3. MAO & Asuka become the 74th KO-D Tag Team Champions!
7. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles Tournament – Final: Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani when Sasaki submitted Okatani with the Crossface Lock (20:04). *DAMNATION T.A become the 46th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
An unlikely figure has taken it upon himself to defend DDT against NOAH at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” next month. It’s Daisuke Sasaki! First he led DAMNATION T.A to victory against Eruption, reclaiming the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles that were stripped from them after Minoru Fujita’s injury. This wasn’t the heroic bit because Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON attacked Eruption with chairs. Sasaki even hit Saki Akai with a chairshot when she tried to intervene. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi did what they could to keep Hideki Okatani in the fight but that was blown when Okatani missed the Diving Knee Drop. KANON softened him up more and Sasaki gave him the Blade Runner to set up a Crossface Lock for the submission victory.
Sasaki said his team deserved to win this “stupid” tournament. He recommended Okatani to get rid of his tacky red hair and costume so he can join DAMNATION T.A. He then praised KANON as a million dollar talent. This was when Sasaki stepped up for DDT and declared he will beat Kenoh at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” for the company. He warned the rest of DDT not to stand there and just watch the match. They are the champions now which means DDT revolves around Daisuke Sasaki & DAMNATION T.A! Meanwhile Eruption are licking their wounds. Sakaguchi said they will learn from the loss and adapt because any combination of unit is capable of winning the championship. Higuchi said he will rampage against the NOAH wrestlers as an individual member of Eruption while Sakaguchi said he will take his frustration out on Ganbare☆Pro!
History was made with Asuka becoming the first woman to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles! With MAO as her tag partner, they defeated CDK in a chaotic bout that saw MAO get buried underneath the entrance gate early in the match. MAO escaped and then used the entrance gate to Moonsault onto Chris Brookes below. Asuka did her own risky high flying by delivering a Missile Dropkick to CDK and Antonio Honda outside the ring. More double team moves came quick and fast from both teams until MAO used the Michinoku Driver II on Brookes to get the upper had. Brookes tried to reverse course but MAO pulled out the Osaka Rinkai Upper (a Super Delfin signature move) to create the title change. MAO said he doesn’t now how long this adventure with Asuka can go but he is going to enjoy it. Asuka didn’t expect to cry over this and thinks they can make something amazing together even as an impromptu tag team. MAO will also now be a double champion defending the DDT Universal Title against Masahiro Takanashi on 1st June.
The present and future of DDT in many forms were put together into an 8-Man Tag Match. All of BURNING was on one side and they were victorious against the mixture of heavyweight tag and DDTeeeen!! wrestlers. El Unicorn wanted to be put to the test and targeted both Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama. The latter lost his cool towards Unicorn’s behavior and Yusuke Okada had to stop Akiyama from Piledriving the kid. When that was cleared, Okada had his hands full with fighting Ilusion. If that wasn’t enough, Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya also wanted a piece of Endo when they could. Unicorn took centre stage again by pairing off against Yuya Koroku in the final moments. The youngster showed his toughness by gutting it out for as long as he could but Koroku made him give up in the end. Akiyama was still annoyed afterwards that the others stopped him from giving Unicorn the Piledriver. Both Unicorn and Ilusion were disappointed with the result. Unicorn promised to get more experience. Ilusion reminded him they aren’t friends and he will beat him up on the way to surpassing Endo & Akiyama.
After weeks of teasing from Carousel❤️Shun, her shy friend Elizabeth❤️Toy finally made her first public appearance as the Super Hardcore Girls took on the Prominence pair of Suzu Suzuki & Akane Fujita. Toy entered to “All The Things She Said” by t.A. T.u. and wrestled in clothes that came straight from that act. It was a Hardcore Match featuring tables, Lego blocks, ladders, concrete blocks and more. Shun missed a baseball bat swing aimed for Suzuki and hit Toy instead. Suzuki capitalized and pinned Toy with the German Suplex onto the ring filled with Lego. After the match she demanded to fight Shunma Katsumata instead of an “old hag” like Shun. Shun claimed she is 18 years old and will go get Katsumata. She also wants to do a full Super Hardcore Girls show in the future. Fujita later said she is open to have Prominence involved in that if there really are more Super Hardcore Girls out there. She also told Suzuki to work on her vocabulary because she keeps using the same old insults on Katsumata.
The promise of an exciting match against Yuki Ueno had Kazuki Hirata acting different today. He came out to his old theme song and even threw away his Hirata GO! glasses to show how determined he was to win. He wrestled seriously for five minutes but when it was clear he couldn’t beat Ueno he pulled out another pair of GO! glasses and returned to his normal self. Ueno had a pair of glasses too and they both danced together until Hirata tried to Cradle his opponent. Ueno hit the WR on him instead and won the match. Hirata said he wants the rematch to be a death match but it doesn’t have to happen until 23 years time.
Akito’s plan to infiltrate Pheromones and destroy it from within hit a snag. He reluctantly joined in with their shenanigans against HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Antonio Honda and even picked up the win. However Danshoku Dieno told Akito after the match he didn’t exhibit any pheromones at all. He will need to pass the Excalibur Challenge to join the unit. The challenge involves Akito having to pull a sword sticking out of Yuki Iino’s butt. He tried it there and then but failed. Dieno then explained you can only do the challenge once per day so Akito will have to try again tomorrow. Sanshiro Takagi is holding a promotional event tomorrow so they will do it there.
Naomi Yoshimura’s use of the Harai Goshi judo throw continues to get him wins. This time the move put down Yuki Ishida in the opening match.
The full field of 16 wrestlers were announced for the King Of DDT 2022 tournament beginning next month. They are Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama, HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura, MAO, Yuki Ueno, Chris Brookes, Masahiro Takanashi, Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi, Hideki Okatani, Yuji Hino, Yukio Naya, Daisuke Sasaki, KANON and Yuki Iino.
Kota Umeda will return to DDT for the first time in 3 years at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022” on 20th August. Umeda was a key part of DNA, DDT’s developmental brand that ran from 2014 to 2018. He briefly left pro wrestling in 2019 to help run his family business but returned on a part-time basis in 2020.

Ryuya Matsufusa is back to take on another tiger. His Ganpro debut was against Watase so now he steps up to take on Keisuke Ishii.

7. Kumamoto Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada Vs HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida
Over the weekend Yukio Naya asked his tag partner Yuji Hino for a singles match. It’s the latest step towards Naya wanting to get stronger. Just teaming with Hino is not enough. The challenge was accepted and a small change is made to the card. It replaces the Chris Brookes Vs Hideki Okatani match and those two are now in the tag match against Shinya Aoki & Shunma Katsumata.

7. ONLY WE x DDT Special 6-Man Tag Match – No DQ Match: Yuji Hino, Yukio Naya & Quiet Storm Vs Shogun Okamoto, Akira Raijin & Hoshitango
DDT hosts the next chapter of the ONLY WE Vs PERON GRANDES feud. In April a brawl that happened after a main event between the two units led to challenges for a No DQ Match to be held in June. Naya is backing up ONLY WE while PERON GRANDES seem to have recruited Hoshitango to their side.
Former DAMNATION allies Daisuke Sasaki and Hiroshi Yamato are pitted against each other. Yamato was the only person to stand up for Sasaki during the DAMNATION mutiny of 2020. I think this will be their first match of any kind together since the DAMNATION break up last year.
TOKYO JOSHI PRO “ADDITIONAL ATTACK ’22”, 19/06/2022 Tokyo Korakuen Hall
1. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao
The tag team of Kyoraku Kyomei is as powerful as they’ve ever been thanks to their Princess Of Princess Title match that took place this month. Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao are now even more of a united force and ready to take the Princess Tag Team Titles from The Magical Sugar Rabbits. This was Misao’s idea and Nakajima is going ahead with it confident she will end up as the first person in Tokyo Joshi Pro to hold two Princess Championships at the same time. Mizuki accepted the challenge without Yuka Sakazaki’s consent but Sakazaki quickly changed her opinion and is committed to the title defence.
Speaking of Sakazaki, it was announced today she will be wrestling Masha Slamovich at PWG in California on 3rd July! Konosuke Takeshita will be in a PWG World Title match against the champion Daniel Garcia on the same show.

4. Special Tag Match: Hiroshi Yamato & Kenshin Chikano defeated MAO & Toi Kojima when Chikano pinned Kojima with the Buzzsaw Kick (11:50).
5. Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON defeated HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuya Koroku when Sasaki submitted Koroku with the Crossface Lock (12:51).
6. Hiroshima Specialty Special Single Match – “Raw Ass Close Call” Sexy Train Rule: Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Yuki Ueno ended in a No Contest (8:30).
6a. Rematch: Yuki Ueno defeated Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno with the BME (0:33).
7. BURNING Vs Eruption!: Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani defeated Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada when Higuchi pinned Okatani with the Brain Claw Slam (17:36).
Upcoming trios partners were opponents on today’s show. Kazusada Higuchi is still feeling cold towards Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama and exchanged words with them after the main event. Higuchi got on the microphone and told the fans he can’t really say anything about the “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” match they’re in but he would rather beat the NOAH team using his own power instead of working with the two BURNING wrestler. Higuchi also wants Eruption to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles next week so both can move up. He explained more backstage about why he has tension with Endo & Akiyama. He said if you look at what DDT has done in the last year or two, you would understand why he isn’t thrilled about teaming with them.
This has the two BURNING wrestlers concerned about the tag match against NOAH. If they are not all on the same page then Akiyama thinks the only way they will win is if they target Atsushi Kotoge. Endo is not happy with that idea and will only be satisfied with winning if they can beat Naomichi Marufuji directly. They need to get the message across to Higuchi that this match against NOAH is a rivalry, not a friendly exhibition.
Before Yuki Ueno’s match with Danshoku Dieno began, Dieno walked over to Makoto Oishi and bribed him with some money to go do something over on the stage. He then told Ueno he will beat him in under 10 minutes and demanded their match be held under “Raw Ass Close Call” Sexy Train Rules! Hisaya Imabayashi encouraged Ueno to accept the challenge even though neither of them knew what the rule means. Yuki Iino then walked out on the stage carrying an unconscious Toi Kojima. Iino and Oishi taped Kojima to a chair and then Iino stood on a trolley across the stage with his bare backside pointed towards Kojima. The Sexy Train rule is Oishi will slowly push Iino towards Kojima as the match progresses until his butt meets Kojima’s face at the 10 minute mark! At the eight minute mark of the match, Dieno threatened to pull down the last of his tights causing Imabayashi to stop the match. However Ueno told him that Kojima hates it when things are done halfway so he convinced the GM to restart the match with one minute left. Ueno quickly pinned Dieno with the BME. Unfortunately by the time he got up to the stage to rescue his friend, Iino got his final push and Kojima got his face full of his backside.
Yukio Naya challenged Yuji Hino to a singles match. They’ve been a tag team together for months but their win-loss record is not great. Naya thinks in order to become stronger and start getting the results he wants he will have to fight Hino as well as team with him.
The Chris Brookes Vs Yuki Ishida match was almost like a tag match because Brookes dragged both Daisuke Kiso and Yukinori Matsui into getting physical. Brookes grabbed Kiso for leverage to block Ishida’s moves. He then used Matsui as a shield to take Ishida’s Sumo Slaps. One last disrespectful move was done when Brookes used the Michinoku Driver II (one of MAO’s finishers) to win the match.
DDT “DDT FREE -MAY-”, 11/05/2022 Shinjuku FACE 349 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

3. HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Yuji Hino & Toi Kojima when Yoshimura pinned Kojima with the Harai Goshi (10:15).
4. Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno defeated Yukio Naya with an Inverted Hurricanrana (11:08).
5. Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Hideki Okatani & Yuki Ishida when Paul pinned Ishida with the Death Valley Bomb (11:35).
6. Special Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama defeated Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku when Akiyama pinned Koroku with the Exploder Suplex (15:38).
7. Road To Audience 2022! Special 6-Man Tag Match: MAO, Asuka & Shunma Katsumata defeated Chris Brookes, Masahiro Takanashi & Antonio Honda when MAO pinned Honda with the Michinoku Driver II (21:11).
The spotlight currently shines brightly on the scenario involving CDK, MAO, Asuka, the KO-D Tag Team Titles and the DDT Universal Title. It draws in more people because Shunma Katsumata and Antonio Honda joined in the fun too. ShunMao gave Honda a Double Stunner and then got Asuka to get involved in a Triple Miracle Ecstasy. CDK broke the count but both were taken out with dives from Katsumata & Asuka. Honda got his second wind by doing a Lou Thesz Press and Super Kick to MAO. But MAO cut him off and grabbed the win with the Michinoku Driver II. MAO said this match is an example of DDT being on the cutting edge because they do not use any divided weight class or big name guest today.
Backstage ShunMao described the match like it was a sauna. Asuka says she can’t go to saunas because she has a tattoo. Katsumata invited her to go visit his business the Sea Sauna Shack where that wouldn’t be a problem. Asuka talked about how Chris Brookes pissed her off during the match. Katsumata warned her he can be dangerous so the best way to deal with him is to accuse him of making violent threats so his Twitter account gets banned. Asuka said she would rather take the KO-D Tag Titles from him. She then started asking Katsumata questions about Carousel❤️Shun. Over on the other side, Masahiro Takanashi admitted CDK weren’t prepared for how strong and aggressive Asuka is.
BURNING Vs BURNING had the expected result of BURNING beating BURNING. Did you get all of that? Jun Akiyama pinned Yuya Koroku and along with Tetsuya Endo praised him for the hard work he’s been doing. His advice to him is to think for himself more and more. Think about how he can rise to the top. It doesn’t need to be as massive as Koroku imagining himself carrying the company on his back. He just needs to imagine how he will move up the ladder. If he can do that then DDT will move up with him. Yusuke Okada thinks he has always been stuck in the same position Koroku is in now so he knows he has to continue working hard too.
Hideki Okatani and KANON targeted each other a lot in their match and kept fighting after it was over. Daisuke Sasaki mocked Okatani for thinking he can beat KANON and had threats aimed towards Yukio Sakaguchi, who wasn’t there today. Okatani called DAMNATION T.A goofy and undeserving of the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. His growing attitude is approved by Kazusada Higuchi, who himself is confident that Eruption will win the vacant titles on 22nd May.
Even though Yuki Ueno won his match against Yukio Naya, he thought Naya showed more growth and it is only a matter of time before Naya breaks out in DDT. Ueno’s current position means he can’t afford to let other wrestlers use him as a springboard. There are no weight divisions in DDT so no matter how big his opponents are, Ueno can’t lose to them if he wants to be champion.
Danshoku Dieno asked if Akito wants to join Pheromones because they will be all teaming together at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022”. Akito refused, calling them the most vile unit in DDT. His point was proven when Pheromones found ways to make Akito do lewd things to Toru Owashi before Yuki Iino pinned him with the Yoropean Clutch. After the match Dieno complained about Akito sending mixed signals. He doesn’t want to join Pheromones but he still joins in on their fun? They left the ring and Akito demanded to be pulled out of the match. Sanshiro Takagi apologised for putting the CyberFight VP into the match without his permission. He explained the reason is somebody has to team with them to make sure they don’t cross the line during the live broadcast of a mega show like “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL”. Akito asked why couldn’t Takagi team with them and Takagi’s answer was Pheromones would figure out it is a trap right away. Takagi has grudges with them but Akito is a neutral who gets along with everybody. Takagi then talked about having a shoulder problem that could prevent him from doing his job as CyberFight President. If Akito does a good job keeping Pheromones under control then maybe he could replace Takagi as President! Akito suddenly had a change of heart and offered to team with Pheromones for a few warm up matches before “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL”. He will trick Pheromones into letting him join the unit and destroy them from within!
Maya Yukihi continues to fit in with DDT, even when she doesn’t want to. She declined Kazuki Hirata’s offer to wear the Hirata GO! glasses so he knocked her out with the Tegatana Chop and placed the glasses on her face anyway. That backfired when Yukihi’s dancing attacks targeted him as well as their opponents. Soma Takao gave Hirata the Perfect Driver and Saki Akai then pinned him with the Rookie Award. Akai can see Yukihi is having fun in DDT but she worries she is not taking full advantage of her surroundings. She hopes their upcoming rematch will set Yukihi back on track. Yukihi promised to avenge the singles loss to Akai and conquer more of DDT.
Midway through the show five new trainees were introduced to the fans. A tryout was held by DDT in March looking for new recruits aged 18 to 23 years old. They new trainees are Kazuma Sumi from Mie, Yuya Takaki from Shiga, Rukiya Ikeda from Osaka, Shogo Hamaguchi from Aichi and Takeshi Masada from Osaka.

9. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) defeated Yuki Ueno with the Burning Star Press (31:17). *V1 for Tetsuya Endo.
Golden Week continued with DDT’s big offering for the holidays held inside Yokohama Budokan. It was Yuki Ueno’s chance to take the top spot and be the one to lead DDT into a new direction. Tetsuya Endo though just claimed the headline role for himself and isn’t going to be giving it up anytime soon. Some vital rope breaks kept the match alive for Endo after Ueno had him beaten, first with the WR and then with a Sleeper Hold. Ueno attempted to set up his Wrist Clutch variation the WR Unlimited but Endo blocked the move. Instead Endo launched the comeback hitting an Exploder Suplex, a Modified One-Winged Angel and then the Burning Star Press to put his opponent away. While Ueno was carried out of the ring by his teammates, Endo said he will deal with him again when Ueno learns how to turn today’s regrets into having fun with his beliefs. Kenta Kobashi then entered the ring to present the KO-D Openweight Title to Endo.
With the KO-D Title successfully defended inside a new venue, Endo said today he engraved his name on a new page of DDT history. He believes the company has potential can grow bigger from here and he is the only one who can make that happen. However he does admit that he cannot achieve this by himself. He made a decision not to choose his next challenger. He does not care who it will be as long as they have confidence and he thinks they are a suitable representative for DDT. Sanshiro Takagi praised the main event and wonders if the sight of young wrestlers doing their best can get the audience emotionally drawn into their matches. He also likes Yokohama Budokan as a venue and hopes to continue running shows there.
Nobody can stop CDK from using the referee as a weapon when they want to! They were able to physically manipulate Yukinori Matsui into Power Bombing Yusuke Okada for an unfair advantage. Jun Akiyama, who has been the strongest critic of this kind of dirty tactics, was quick to respond by giving Chris Brookes the Exploder Suplex. Okada took over from there focusing his attacks on Masahiro Takanashi. But victory slipped out of his fingers when Takanashi countered the Sudden Death into an Inside Cradle for a flash three count. Later backstage Brookes said he respects Akiyama but will not change his wrestling style for him, because his style is the DDT style.
CDK’s future plans were set in stone afterward when MAO & Asuka entered the ring. The two of them decided to team up and challenge CDK for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Takanashi told MAO he will accept the challenge but only if MAO agrees to give him a DDT Universal Title shot. Asuka interrupted MAO and accepted the deal on his behalf. The KO-D Tag Title match will take place on 22nd May and the DDT Universal Title match will happen on 1st June.
MAO and Asuka had just finished fighting each other for the Universal Title before their reappearance later in the show. Even though MAO previously refused Asuka’s request to do a Hardcore Match, he still pulled out a plastic box to use as a weapon. Asuka ended up Choke Slamming him through the box. MAO got the upper hand and almost won with the Michinoku Driver II, a move Asuka had previously pinned him with. That didn’t work here but MAO did get the win once he hit the Cannonball 450. The two shook hands after the match, setting up their return for later. MAO said he wants to defend the Universal Title against a wide range of different challengers and unknown foreigners.
Hikaru Sato returned to DDT and Yukio Sakaguchi was right there waiting for him. Their early exchanges had them giving each other Snapmares followed by a Football Kick to the back. HARASHIMA and Kazusada Higuchi carried the second half of the match. Higuchi countered the Somato with a Power Bomb. HARASHIMA tried to block the Brain Claw Slam but Higuchi persisted and used the Brain Claw to pin his rival for the three count. Sakaguchi said the match felt like he went back in time to nine years ago. Higuchi has confidence to become more aggressive because there were three former KO-D Champions involved but he was the one who got the win.
After weeks of teases and threats of betrayal, it was time for DAMNATION T.A to reveal their newest member. It’s KANON! In the time between his dark match and the DAMNATION T.A match, KANON dyed his hair and changed into a new costume to fit in with his new alignment. The injured Minoru Fujita was also at ringside grabbing Yukio Naya’s leg to give his team the advantage. The other side still had Yuji Hino though so it was still a tough match. Daisuke Sasaki had to distract the referee so KANON could hit Soma Takao with a chair. Sasaki then applied the Crossface Lock on Takao to make him submit. He later said KANON is not in DDT to play games. DAMNATION T.A wants to reach the top in the shortest possible time which is why they recruited KANON. Then when Fujita is cleared to wrestle again their momentum will be unstoppable!
Everyone got a big surprise after that match was over and the ring emptied. Kenoh from NOAH walked out! He got on the microphone and said DDT fans have been watching fake wrestlers but now a real wrestler has arrived. He called DDT an arts and crafts show filled with a pampered roster of people. He blames Sanshiro Takagi for this and demands he leave the pro wrestling business! But first he wants to fight Takagi at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” on 12th June. Suddenly Sasaki got back into the ring and faced off with Kenoh. He said if Kenoh wants a match then he should fight the best wrestler in DDT instead of a third rate wrestler like Takagi. Kenoh said Takagi is not even a fifth rate wrestler. He also thought Sasaki was the only sane person in DDT but it is clear he isn’t if he is standing up for them. Kenoh accepted Sasaki’s challenge for a singles match at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022”.
Hisaya Imabayashi was put into the fight of his life. His feud with Pheromones reached its climax right here with his children in attendance to see it. The skill gap was still gigantic but the DDT GM fought to his limit while AKIRA and Muscle Sakai did their best to keep their team in the match. Pheromones were up to their usual tricks like Yumehito Imanari spraying his opponents with a fire extinguisher in a lewd manner. Danshoku Dieno put Imabayashi in a Knee Cross that looked to be the finish until Imabayashi’s kids approached ringside cheering for their dad to keep fighting until he reached the ropes. Dieno lifted him up to do a Danshoku Driver in front of the children but AKIRA cut him off and Imabayashi rolled Dieno over into a Jackknife Pin for the upset victory!
Imabayashi thanked his two sons for their help and then told Pheromones this was the end of their conflict. However he has one request. He would like to see AKIRA hold a championship again so he wants him to challenge Yuki Iino for the DDT Extreme Title! AKIRA is happy to take that request and agreed with Iino to have the match on 1st June.
In mixed tag action Maya Yukihi & Shunma Katsumata beat the Eruption duo of Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani. The match briefly brought back the rivalry between Akai and Yukihi since they have been on good terms since their match at “JUDGEMENT 2022”. Yukihi politely interrupted Akai’s post match interview backstage. The match they just had made Yukihi wonder what will happen if they have another singles bout against each other. Akai thought she wanted them to form the only two woman tag team in DDT but Yukihi convinced her to have one more singles match before they do that.
There was another big story coming out of that tag match. Prominence came out after the match and attacked Katsumata! Suzu Suzuki wants to get revenge for him beating her in the King Of Street Wrestling. Every day since then she has only gotten angrier at Katsumata because she lost to him. She will never forgive him until they have a rematch. Katsumata said he already beat Suzuki so he will never fight her again!
The DDT Legend team hold on to the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles. Their first title defence was against a collection of undercard DDT wrestlers along with special guest and former champion Yoshiaki Yatsu. There was a moment when Kazuki Hirata almost overpowered Poison Sawada JULIE with his own magic power. JULIE stopped him and made him give up to the Cattle Mutilation. Now DDT has a scheduling problem with the reigning champions. Takashi Sasaki said he doesn’t feel like coming back to DDT unless they bring in big competition. His logic is if the complete team (including Naomi Susan) cannot get together for a title defence then they will be champions forever! However MIKAMI said he can adjust his schedule for future title defences. GENTARO is the same because he’s happy to get the work.
Toui Kojima tried using the Triangle Choke to beat Shinya Aoki but didn’t have the experience to make it work. Aoki stayed patience and found his spot to put Kojima in a Leg Lock, making the young wrestler tap. Backstage Aoki asked if Kojima wants DDT to become the No. 1 wrestling company. Kojima said he does so he can become stronger. Aoki joked they will have to beat the competition one by one so their first target is Stardom.
There were two dark matches before the show. The heavyweight team of Toru Owashi & Naomi Yoshimura were victorious against Antonio Honda & Yuki Ishida. Owashi and Honda teased kissing each other. Yoshimura used the Harai Goshi throw from Judo to pin Ishida.
KANON’s earlier appearance with his previous look was when he won against Yuya Koroku. KANON talked about Koroku potentially becoming a rival. As a hint of what was to come later, KANON said he would never have left JTO if he was just going to stop at this level. He told the fans to keep an eye on him.
It was announced that Dick Togo will be at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022” on 20th August.
DDT “JUST BEFORE YOKOHAMA BUDOKAN! ROJO PRO WRESTLING IN I-CANAL STREET”, 29/04/2022 Yokohama i-Canal Street ??? Fans
1. Falls Count Anywhere 3 Way Tag Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Hideki Okatani and Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida when Katsumata pinned Ishida with a Diving Body Press from the Telephone Pole through Table (29:08).
A rainy afternoon in Yokohama’s i-Canal Street didn’t dampen the spirits of DDT. They went ahead with the latest street wrestling Falls Count Anywhere match and were motivated by having a crowd of people watching the action. Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida brought ladders with them while Eruption were armed with canes. Shunmao were the only ones not to walk into the match with any weapons. Some of the early exchanges were playful and all six wrestlers ended up forming a chain of Arm Wringers down the street.
Things broke down from there. Everyone kept bumping on the pavement. Ishida threw Shunma Katsumata into a pole. Kazusada Higuchi and Naya almost fought their way into a nearby shop and had to be stopped from going in there. Hideki Okatani kicked Katsumata down a stairway. MAO then gave his own tag partner a Back Body Drop onto everyone else. Then at the end of the street there were competing submission holds all held for the audience to take pictures of.
The fighting continued with MAO climbing up a nearby shop sign and Moonsaulting onto both Eruption wrestlers. Katsumata kept scooping up puddle water to splash over Ishida’s face. Higuchi tried to German Suplex Katsumata but it was blocked. What followed was each wrestler trying to pin each other in the rain with European Clutches. Naya went into a nearby shop and walked out wearing boxing gloves to punch everyone with! Ishida used his sumo ability to throw down anyone who was thrown into him. Okatani stopped him with cane shots.
MAO set up some chairs and tried to Cross-Arm Power Bomb Okatani onto them. Instead Okatani blocked it and slammed MAO onto the chairs with a Double Arm Suplex. Naya Body Slammed some cornermen onto the chairs and then Choke Slammed Okatani on top of them. He went for the pin but MAO broke it up with a Rolling Senton off of a chair. Shunmao set up a table and ladder. They put Ishida on the table and Katsumata climbed up a nearby phone pole. He jumped off and put Ishida through the table with a Diving Body Press for the three count! The wrestlers all got together at the end and thanked the crowd for watching.

Four teams are entering a single elimination tournament for the vacant KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. They are DAMNATION T.A (with the mystery partner they have been teasing for weeks), DISASTER BOX, Eruption and a kickboxing team led by Akito. Thanomsak Toba was Machida’s “cornerman” for those matches and is inspired to pass on his knowledge over to his new wrestling protégé.

6. FRIED Yamada Festival Deep Fried Food! Special 6-Man Tag Match: Shishamo Power, Unagi Power & HARASHIMA Vs Yuji Hino, Yukio Naya & Akito
Shishamo Power finally reaches the promise land. The gimmick was created to promote this show back in January but it was delayed until May. During this time his few appearances have been to feud with Yukio Naya & Akito. They hold a grudge because they want the population of Japan to become meat eaters instead of following Shishamo’s lead of having a seafood diet. Shishamo is receiving unexpected help from local Shibushi wrestler Unagi Mask to even the numbers. Now to make their match even bigger HARASHIMA and Yuji Hino are being brought into the battle.
Other guests are on the card. Shiro Koshinaka’s previous match in DDT took place last August. Tetsuya Endo was one of his opponents for his 40th Anniversary match back in 2019 so there’s a little bit of history there between them to relive. Shinya Aoki is also on the show.

DDT “DDT FREE -APRIL-”, 22/04/2022 Shinjuku FACE 353 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House
0. Dark Match: Soma Takao defeated Yuki Ishida with the Official Endless Waltz (4:52).
1. Special Tag Match: Shishamo Power & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Akito & Yukio Naya when Power pinned Akito with La Magistral Cradle (10:36).
2. Saki Akai & Maya Yukihi defeated Antonio Honda & Kazuki Hirata when Yukihi pinned Hirata with the Snowstorm (10:51).
3. KANON defeated Toui Kojima with the Just Cobra Twist (6:21).
4. HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari by Disqualification when Imanari attacked the referee (12:03).
5. DAMNATION T.A Vs Eruption!: Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Hideki Okatani when Sasaki pinned Okatani with a School Boy (10:18).
6. Special Tag Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata defeated Asuka & Yuji Hino when MAO pinned Asuka with an Oklahoma Roll (17:04).
7. Road To MEGA MAX BUMP 2022! Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku by TKO when Ueno used a Sleeper Hold on Endo (5:08).
Has Tetsuya Endo been taking Yuki Ueno too lightly all this time? The main event match between BURNING and The 37KAMIINA only lasted five minutes when Ueno quickly gave Endo the WR then choked him out with a Torso Sleeper Hold. He didn’t want to insult Endo afterwards for letting his guard down even though Endo has done nothing but insult him for weeks now. However Ueno had to tell Endo he does not have the determination of a champion! On 1st May Ueno promises to win the KO-D Openweight Title so he can carry DDT on his back as a great champion while Konosuke Takeshita represents the company overseas.
The match was so short that it didn’t give CDK or Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada enough time to test each other out. Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi acted like they were tired anyway because they are double tag champions. The hard work is worth it because their dream is to have title defences in Thailand and tour across Southeast Asia. Akiyama sees the positive side of the match going short because it means he didn’t have to watch CDK cheat or get the referee physically involved again. He is concerned they could get somebody like Daisuke Kiso injured if they continue to make him do wrestling moves against his will (he thinks Yukinori Matsui could tough it out though).
After Asuka humiliated MAO at the press conference a few days ago, MAO turned the tables by pinning her in their tag match. The result happened after Yuji Hino missed a Lariat aimed for MAO and turned Asuka inside out with it by mistake. MAO then rolled up Asuka for the win. MAO complained about being pinned with the Michinoku Driver a few weeks agon and then becoming famous among stiletto fetishists when Asuka stepped on him at the press conference. Today’s result makes him very happy and he repeated his threat to beat Asuka in 3 minutes and 70 seconds when the DDT Universal Title is on the line! Shunma Katsumata later corrected him because that would make it 4 minutes and 10 seconds.
Daisuke Sasaki was in a good enough mood to give everyone a hint about DAMNATION T.A’s new member showing up on 1st May. Maybe he is in the venue today? Maybe he just left Japan to go to America? Maybe it is Hideki Okatani actually doing something to change his life instead of just dying his hair red! If you think the person next to you is your friend, he will betray you and join DAMNATION T.A on 1st May!
This time a Pheromones match ended by disqualification instead of the entire match being called off. Danshoku Dieno knows Hisaya Imabayashi was not here today so Pheromones went as lewd as they could knowing the GM was watching the show from home powerless to stop them. Yumehito Imanari filmed his camera as close to Yuki Iino’s backside as possible for example. Dieno said Imabayashi should record his tearful apology video as soon as possible because this is all his fault!
KANON’s journey through the DDT wrestlers of his generation is leaving him with some scars. Toui Kojima chopped his chest raw but a Back Drop from KANON was used to set up his signature Cobra Twist for the victory.
Maya Yukihi is fitting in really well with DDT. She poked Antonio Honda in the eyes with Gongitsune and had Kazuki Hirata beaten with a Mexican Stretch until Honda tripped and accidentally placed the Hirata GO! Glasses onto her face. Yukihi experienced the power surge of Hirata’s dance and went wild on everyone, including Saki Akai. She used the momentum to pin Hirata with the Snowstorm.
The return of Shishamo Power (looking a little bit smaller than the last time he was in the ring) had him & Naomi Yoshimura defeat the meat eating team of Akito & Yukio Naya. He was attacked by the sore losers after the match when suddenly another masked wrestler ran out and rescued him. The masked wrestler introduced himself as Unagi Mask from Shibushi City. The two joined forces and challenged the meat eaters to a match on 8th May.
The vacant KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles will be rewarded to the winners of a 4 team tournament held throughout May. The previous champions DAMNATION T.A do not like being stripped of the belts but they are entering with their mystery wrestler taking the injured Minoru Fujita’s place. DISASTER BOX and Eruption are also entering teams. The final trio taking part are Akito, Hikaru Machida & Thanomsak Toba. Akito saw Machida’s matches in the King Of Street Wrestling tournament and thinks he has a lot of potential to do pro wrestling inside the ring. Machida doesn’t know any wrestling moves but is confident to challenge pro wrestlers with his kickboxing ability. Toba is one of the few pro wrestlers to compete wearing boxing gloves and never considered making Machida his successor until he heard the idea.
Even though Imabayashi was absent from the show he did send a statement to be read out before the matches began. He has appointed Pokotan as the Iron Man Retrieval Captain. Pokotan has been ordered to win back the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from Shinichiro Kawamatsu!

1. Soma Takao defeated Yuya Koroku with the Official Endless Waltz (8:41).
2. Pheromones Vs The Iyasareru!: Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda ended in a No Contest (11:33).
3. Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani defeated Hiroshi Yamato, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida when Higuchi pinned Ishida with the Brain Claw Slam (9:20).
4. Yukio Naya & KANON defeated Akito & Shunma Katsumata when Naya pinned Katsumata with the Back Drop (13:20).
5. BURNING Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada defeated Yuki Ueno, MAO & Toui Kojima when Okada pinned Kojima with the Sudden Death (20:29).
6. DDT x ONLY WE Special 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Yuji Hino & Quiet Storm defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Shogun Okamoto & Akira Raijin when Storm pinned Raijin with the 50cm Arm Lariat (14:13).
Man, DDT helps out ONLY WE by co-promoting a few shows with them and they end up in the middle of a faction war! HARASHIMA sided with ONLY WE in the main event while Daisuke Sasaki teamed with their rivals from PERON GRANDES. The matchup led to Sasaki facing off with Yuji Hino with their past in DAMNATION together still fresh on their minds. Meanwhile Shogun Okamoto & Akira Raijin fought dirty whenever they could with plenty of ringside brawling and chair attacks. In the end however Quiet Storm fought from behind and with the help of his teammates, pinned Raijin with the 50cm Arm Lariat.
After the match Sasaki & Okamoto attacked ONLY WE with chairs until Yukio Naya ran into the ring for the rescue. Storm challenged Okamoto to a No DQ 6-Man Tag Match between ONLY WE and PERON GRANDES on 5th June when DDT and ONLY WE hold their next show in Chiba together. It will be Hino, Storm & Naya against Okamoto, Raijin and third member of their unit.
Tetsuya Endo and Yuki Ueno were stuck fighting outside the ring while their trios match reached its conclusion. Yusuke Okada picked up the win for his team and declared that BURNING will be holding both the KO-D Openweight Title and KO-D Tag Team Titles at the end of the Yokohama Budokan show on 1st May. On The 37KAMIINA side, everyone was frustrated with the loss as they move onto life without Konosuke Takeshita. According to Ueno, Takeshita left Japan this afternoon.
KANON is quickly learning that wrestling in DDT is not always a walk in the park (not literally in this case but there’s plenty of time for that yet). Despite his size advantage he had his struggles wrestling against Akito & Shunma Katsumata even though he ended up being on the winning team with Naya. What KANON learned coming out of the match is to become more ambitious otherwise he won’t rise above everyone else in DDT anytime soon.
A fired up Hideki Okatani tried picking a fight with Naomi Yoshimura but ended up having Yuki Ishida wanting a go at himself instead. Okatani even got Hiroshi Yamato mad by making fun of the seaweed he likes to sell at his merch stand. Good thing he had the rest of Eruption there to watch his back.
Everyone was given a scary warning when Danshoku Dieno said that Yuki Iino was not wearing anything underneath his wrestling gear today. The Iyasareru came up with a smart idea to tape his straps to his shoulders to prevent him from pulling them down. Unfortunately Iino eventually found the power to free himself from the tape and his costume. That led to Pheromones taking the match out of control, Hisaya Imabayashi calling it off and getting publicly executed for his troubles.
