1. KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles: Yoshiaki Yatsu, Akito, Hiroshi Yamato & Keigo Nakamura defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Yukio Naya, Chikara & Nabe Yakan (c) when Yatsu submitted Naya with the Jail Lock (12:06).
*Team Thoroughbred fails in V2. Team Olympian becomes the 5th KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Champions!
2. King Of DDT 2021 – Semi Final: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Daisuke Sasaki with the Modified Chickenwing Facelock (16:58).
3. King Of DDT 2021 – Semi Final: Yuji Hino defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Fuckin’ BOMB (12:36).
4. 4 Way Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai defeated Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda, Danshoku Dieno & Yuki Iino and Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku when Sakaguchi pinned Koroku with the Danshoku Driver (9:24).
5. DAMNATION Vs DISASTER BOX!: HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata defeated Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao, Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Hirata pinned Shimatani with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (11:51).
6. Junretsu Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & MAO defeated Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Hideki Okatani when MAO pinned Okatani with the Cannonball 450 (11:05).
7. King Of DDT 2021 – Final: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Yuji Hino with the Cross-Arm German Suplex (18:09).

Konosuke Takeshita is now a two time King Of DDT winner! He had to go through one of his worst enemies and then one of his largest opponents to make it back to the top. In the final, Yuji Hino stood across the ring and was shocked when the match begun because he was immediately thrown into a Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall. Hino took over with heavy Chops and a Sleeper Hold. The match turned into a game of one-upmanship with Elbow Strikes and Lariats thrown everywhere. Takeshita kept himself planted to block the Fuckin’ BOMB but had to become more agile idea to avoid the move by doing a Hurricanrana. Hino was almost pinned with the German Suplex and then found himself in an unusual position when Takeshita caught his arm from a Lariat. Takeshita held onto the arm and then ducked a Short-Range Lariat from Hino’s other arm. That ended up with Takeshita is perfect position to give Hino the Cross-Arm German Suplex to win the match.

Takeshita received his prize money and, more importantly, he will face Jun Akiyama for the KO-D Openweight Title at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” on 21st August! He said he is satisfied with his performances throughout the tournament and has nothing to be afraid of anymore. He’s been away from the KO-D Title for a long time but is confident to go against Akiyama in their big rematch. Backstage he said the last year and a half being away from the KO-D Title scene has not been a waste of time for him. He wants to fight as the ace of DDT and the future of pro wrestling. He won the tournament with this attitude and with the support of The 37KAMIINA behind him. Meanwhile Hino is impressed that Takeshita had a move kept up his sleeve to beat him. He might have found a kindred spirit in Takeshita and wants to fight him in a rematch. When they does happen, maybe Hino will be the one who will use a secret move to win.

All of 37KAMIINA are aiming to be champions at the same time. Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & MAO have a chance to gain a lot of ground with a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles shot coming up. But first they had to get past Junretsu. Katsumata kept urging Akiyama to do the NeppoWER!! pose but he refused. Hideki Okatani did it to mock Katsumata. Akiyama finally gave in and did it after he and Makoto Oishi beat Katsumata up. Okatani held his own against the sauna club but Ueno stunned him with the Standing Shining Wizard and MAO got the win with the Cannonball 450. Katsumata popped a cracker at Akiyama while this was going on. After the match Katsumata pointed to the sky and told the others he could see the aurora wishing for Takeshita’s King Of DDT victory.

Kazuki Hirata ambushed DAMNATION with Tegatana chops during their entrance. They had no effect and DAMNATION all ganged up on him. HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi, Naomi Yoshimura kept the hopes alive for DISASTER BOX but whenever Hirata was tagged in, DAMNATION took over and ganged up on him again. Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie attacked him one by one. But when Nobuhiro Shimatani had his turn, Hirata pinned him out of nowhere with the Miracle One Shot Cradle!

Just like last month, there were bottles of a mysterious drink found backstage by the DDT locker room, this time with the letter D on them. Danshoku Dieno & Yuki Iino (wearing Danshoku tights) drank some on their way to the ring and handed bottles out to some of the other teams. It appeared whoever drank it would become Danshoku. Eruption grabbed some bottles backstage but Yukio Sakaguchi walked out not looking any different. Saki Akai though ran out wearing Danshoku tights and fighting the urge to go grab fans in the audience. She snapped out of it but later had the urge to do the Danshoku Nightmare as a counter to Yuya Koroku’s Sunset Flip. The Iyasareru ran in to stop her from doing anything lewd. Sakaguchi later pulled down his trunks to show he was wearing Danshoku tights all along and he pinned Koroku with the Danshoku Driver. An annoyed Yusuke Okada spanked Iino after the match for being partly responsible for what happened.

The King Of DDT semi-finals happened in the early portion of the show. Hino defeated Kazusada Higuchi to advance in a heavyweight showdown. Higuchi’s reliance on the Brain Claw wasn’t as effective on Hino compared to his previous opponents. Hino used his own Claw Hold to fight back. Higuchi tried to finish him off with the Buchikamashi sumo charge but Hino cut him off with the Lariat and pinned him with the Fuckin’ BOMB. Higuchi was left disappointed over the status quo being maintained by that result because once again he gets knocked out in the semi-final.

Takeshita’s grudge with Daisuke Sasaki was on show in the other semi-final. He also had Mad Paulie to worry about outside the ring. Some of the dirty tactics were avoided and Sasaki even gave Paulie a mistaken Low Blow over it. The 37KAMIINA took Paulie to the back so the match could continue one versus one. Sasaki was able to send Takeshita crashing into Yukinori Matsui meaning that no on was around to call the match when Sasaki gave up to the Modified Chickenwing Facelock. Sasaki hit a Low Blow before Matsui recovered. Takeshita turned things around by catching a Topé Suicida and delivering a Brainbuster in return. After a lot of fighting to get the move locked in, Takeshita finally got Sasaki back in the Modified Chickenwing Facelock and got him to submit. Sasaki vowed to get revenge in 2025 or so but until then he talked about disappearing for a while. Whether he is serious or just giving out another of his empty threats remains to be seen.

In the month when the Olympic Games will finally go ahead, a team of “Olympians” have won the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles! The squad led by Yoshiaki Yatsu all had handkerchiefs in their gear because it is a necessary item in amateur wrestling. It was Keigo Nakamura’s return from injury and he wrestled in new gear for the occasion. The match fell apart for Team Thoroughbred when their Triple Saber Chop missed its target and all hit Yukio Naya by accident. Akito & Hiroshi Yamato targeted Naya’s knees and left him for Yatsu to finish off. Yatsu did the Iron Knee/Yatsugoye with his prosthetic leg on Naya. Then all of Team Olympian put Team Thoroughbred in four separate Jail Locks until Naya gave up. Sanshiro Takagi wrapped one of the title belts around Nakamura’s waist while Naya did the same for Yatsu. Backstage Akito explained that the Iron Knee/Yatsugoye is a completely original move that utilizes Yatsu’s greatest weapon. It’s an original move because the angle of the strike is different from the Kamigoye. Yatsu bluntly said it’s because of his prosthetic leg but agrees that the move is legal and there is no foul play intended.

Super Sasadango Machine announced the ticket sales for “HIRAGANA MUSCLE 5” on 1st September are doing so well that two additional show performances will take place on the 5th.

The first complete match for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” was announced during the show. It is Shunma Katsumata & MAO against Jun Kasai & Chris Brookes in a Hardcore Tag Match!

The next D-Ou Grand Prix will begin on 3rd November in Ota Ward Gymnasium. It is being called D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 Part II.

7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata defeated HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi (c) when Katsumata pinned HARASHIMA with the Firebird Splash (24:46).
*Smile Pissari fails in V2. The 37KAMIINA becomes the 70th KO-D Tag Team Champions!

NepowWER beats Pissari!! The challengers had everything sorted and took everything that was thrown at them, even literally each other. For Shunma Katsumata it was a big performance today. He avoided the Somato and sent HARASHIMA right into Konosuke Takeshita to deal with. Then when Yuji Okabayashi ran in, Takeshita took him out with a Lariat. MADMAX was used to plant HARASHIMA in the perfect position for Katsumata to use the Firebird Splash. That is a rarely used finisher for HARASHIMA and he had now knows what it’s like to be pinned with it. Okabayashi almost made the save but broke the pin too late. The two teams did their poses to each other after the match.

Takeshita said three miracles have recently happened to himself and Katsumata. First, Katsumata gets a pin on Jun Akiyama. Second, they win the Ultimate Tag League. And third, today they beat Smile Pissari to become the new KO-D Tag Team Champions! The show was in Takeshita’s home of Osaka but even he agrees that Katsumata is the star of the show today. Katsumata promised The 37KAMIINA will continue having exciting matches that will leave everyone sweating in a good atmosphere. Just like a sauna. That’s not the end though. After the show Katsumata, Yuki Ueno & MAO all said they want to challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles together. They want to challenge DAMNATION for the belts in Tetsuya Endo’s hometown!

The King Of DDT final four used today to prepare for the finals next week. Daisuke Sasaki said he will prove he is the strongest. He is preparing a new special move to win the tournament. Kazusada Higuchi was asked if the Brain Claw can be used against an opponent as large as Yuji Hino. Higuchi said he is finally getting used to the move as one of his own. He now knows how to rely on it at a time where it is important.

After the Jun Akiyama Vs Yusuke Okada match, Akiyama told Okada to study more. He thinks Okada was very motivated today which tells Akiyama he should hit him harder from now on. He wants their story together in DDT to be different from their story in All Japan. Okada recently admitted he considered retiring from pro wrestling last year and Akiyama was there to listen to his problems. That meant a lot to Okada and he thinks it is the reason he followed him over to DDT. It had motivated Okada to do his best for both his mentor and his new home.

Kazuki Hirata stole the win in the 3 Way Match. Yukio Sakaguchi had Yuki Iino pinned after hitting the God’s Right Knee. Hirata used a Sliding Kick to break the pin and then cover Iino for the three count.

In an effort to play mind games, Yuya Koroku stole Danshoku Dieno’s wrestling gear backstage and wore it to the ring. This created a chain reaction. Dieno appeared wearing Toru Owashi’s gear and then Owashi came out wearing Antonio Honda’s gear. Honda couldn’t find anything to wear so he refused to walk down to the ring and wrestle. He eventually picked up the courage to enter the ring in just his socks and underwear. After using Gongitsune to poke Koroku in the eye, he did his own version of the Danshoku Driver with his underwear to pick up the win.

Chris Brookes Vs Shinya Aoki for both the DDT Extreme Title and Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title will take place on 15th July.

4. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Kazusada Higuchi defeated Tetsuya Endo with the Brain Claw Slam (11:50).
5. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Konosuke Takeshita defeated MAO with the Modified Chickenwing Facelock (13:08).
6. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Daisuke Sasaki defeated Jun Akiyama with a Cradle (4:02).
7. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Yuji Hino defeated HARASHIMA with the Fuckin’ BOMB (24:49).

The King Of DDT field has been cut down from eight to four after today. The hardest fought match in Round 2 was the main event where Yuji Hino eliminated HARASHIMA after almost 25 minutes. Hino took everything HARASHIMA threw at him and asked for more. The regular Somato couldn’t work so HARASHIMA went for the Swan Dive version. Hino blocked him before he could pull it off and attempted the Fuckin’ BOMB only for HARASHIMA to escape. HARASHIMA used Leg Kicks and Buzzsaw Kicks to break Hino down for one more Somato. But Hino got the better of him and hit the Fuckin’ BOMB to win. The two gave each other a fist bump after the match as a show of respect.

Daisuke Sasaki has found a winning formula for the tournament. Cheat like hell! Mad Paulie pulled the referee out of the ring when it looked like Jun Akiyama was about to beat Sasaki in minutes. Akiyama fought him off but was vulnerable to a Low Blow. Akiyama countered the Sasaki Hurricanrana into a Power Bomb and went for the Running Knee Strike. Sasaki dodged it, hit another Low Blow when Akiyama stopped himself from colliding with the ref and then rolled up Akiyama for the upset.

In the battle of The 37KAMIINA, handshakes were replaced with the “NeppoWER!!” pose. MAO dug deep into his box of tricks and used Mike Bailey’s Ultima Weapon move to get ahead. Konosuke Takeshita rolled away from the Cannonball 450 and hit some Zahi knee strikes to try and put MAO down for good. MAO kept kicking out of moves until he finally succumbed to the Modified Chickenwing Facelock. Takeshita asked for a handshake after the match and got the NeppoWER pose instead. Backstage MAO said the match will make The 37KAMIINA more united than ever. He will do his best to change his image from the slapstick guy of the group to the strong slapstick guy of the group.

Last year’s winner is out of the tournament! In a rematch from the 2020 semi-final, Kazusada Higuchi gets his revenge by beating Tetsuya Endo in the latest chapter of their rivalry. The use of the Brain Claw was the difference maker here. The move helped Higuchi break out of the Yurikamome Hold. Endo freed himself to go for one last gasp but Higuchi grabbed him in the Brain Claw again and hit a Twisting Brain Claw Slam to get the three count.

At the end of the show the semi-finalists took part in a lottery to determine who will face who in the final rounds on 4th July. Daisuke Sasaki and Konosuke Takeshita both pulled out blue balls so they will fight each other. That left Yuji Hino and Kazusada Higuchi staring each other down to set up the other semi-final. Backstage, Takeshita said it doesn’t matter if he is in good shape or not. He knows he has to stay alert against Sasaki. The match will come down to luck. Sasaki admitted that his version of King’s Road didn’t work today but he’ll use it to crush Takeshita. Higuchi calls Hino a high wall to climb over. He has to break through him because Higuchi never makes it past the semi-finals. Hino didn’t have much of substance to say because he was tired after the main event. He’ll be happy is Sasaki wins and they meet in an all DAMNATION final. But he would like to face Takeshita in the final too.

The 3 Way Tag match had its wacky stuff happening. Nobuhiro Shimatani kept shouting “I’m Nobu!” in response to Shunma Katsumata doing the NeppoWER pose. They then teamed up to double team Naomi Yoshimura when he tried to stop the both of them. Soma Takao picked his moments to Double Stomp opponents and slam Shimatani onto them. Akito grabbed a lot of limbs to twist people into each other. Yuki Ueno convinced Yoshimura to work together again for a Nautilus reunion. When Ueno was done with it he hit Yoshimura with a Missile Dropkick to end the alliance. Yoshimura knocked him out of the ring with a Lariat and left it clear for Akito to submit Shimatani.

Danshoku Dieno announced his goal today was to beat Yusuke Okada so he can fully take over “Big Daddy” Kiyoshi Hayashishita’s restaurant. Then the customers will get to suck meat instead of eating it. After Dieno got his hands on Okada during the match, Big Daddy entered the ring to rescue his friend. Dieno grabbed him and attempted to do the Danshoku Driver but Okada stopped it. Okada went to give Dieno the Lip Lock but Dieno ducked and Big Daddy got it instead. Dieno then pinned Okada with the Gaydo Clutch. After the match Okada told Big Daddy that he will continue to do his best as a DDT wrestler. Big Daddy told him you win some, you lose some. He also admitted Okada is a surprisingly good kisser.

Before the Battle Royal began, some of the wrestlers found a mystery drink in the locker room with a note attached to it. The note said it was a “pick me up” from Mad Paulie. Only Antonio Honda drank it but he said it tasted great. Yukio Sakaguchi also grabbed the bottle when nobody was looking. The effects of the drink were revealed when Mad Anton walked out instead of Honda. Kazuki Hirata won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from Shinya Aoki by eliminating him early in the match. Hirata was eliminated along with Paulie and Anton when all three of them pulled each other out of the ring to the floor. The ring was empty at this point so it did not count as a title change. There was one last entrant though. Yukio Sakaguchi walked out with a face like Mad Paulie and he won the match by default. He gave a victory speech afterwards but only said “Po.”

Hirata escaped from the Paulies but was chased back into the ring later in the show. Hirata fought off Paulie, Anton and Sakaguchi then celebrated with the Iron Man Title. Suddenly, Shinya Aoki returned with his face also looking like Mad Paulie. Aoki choked out Hirata to win back the title then celebrated with the rest of the Paulies.

The pre-show match mixed together heavyweights with the rookies. Yuki Iino and Yukio Naya cancelled each other out so it came down to Hideki Okatani and Yuya Koroku to break the deadlock. Koroku got a nearfall with a Backslide Pin but Okatani got him in the end with the Northern Lights Suplex.

Yoshiaki Yatsu attended the show to find out who he will team with for the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles match on 4th July. Hisaya Imabayashi told him that Hiroshi Yamato & Akito both offered to be on the team because they competed in amateur wrestling for the Junior Olympics. Keigo Nakamura then entered the ring asking to join because he too competed in that competition in high school. He was eliminated in the first round but he wants to take on the challenge side by side with the other “Olympians”. Yatsu agreed to team with all three of them and they will be Team (Junior) Olympia!

0. Under Match ~ Blow Away King Of DDT 2021!: Danshoku Dieno, Antonio Honda, Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Gota Ihashi defeated Yusuke Okada, Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya, Hideki Okatani & Yuya Koroku when Hirata pinned Koroku with the Anal-Style Egoist Driver (10:02).
1. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: HARASHIMA defeated Makoto Oishi with the Somato (7:13).
2. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Yuji Hino defeated Yukio Sakaguchi with the Fucking BOMB (10:51).
3. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: MAO defeated Soma Takao with the Avalanche Michinoku Driver II (11:27).
4. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Akito with a Modified Chickenwing Facelock (12:29).
5. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Daisuke Sasaki defeated Yuki Ueno with a Cradle (1:51).
6. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Jun Akiyama defeated Shunma Katsumata with a School Boy (7:43).
7. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Kazusada Higuchi defeated Naomi Yoshimura with the Brain Claw Slam (10:44).
8. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Tetsuya Endo defeated Chris Brookes with the Shooting Star Press (20:50).

Will the second half of 2021 be a breakthrough for Tetsuya Endo? His journey began today with King Of DDT 2021. Endo’s 1st Round opponent was Chris Brookes and they had a closely fought match. He had to pull out the Double Arm Canadian Destroyer to deal enough damage to set up the Torture Rack Bomb and Shooting Star Press finish. Afterwards Endo told the fans he will win King Of DDT, go to Kawasaki Stadium and be the last man standing!

In the first singles match between the two heavyweights, Kazusada Higuchi toppled Naomi Yoshimura. Higuchi focused on getting the Brain Claw on his opponent, hitting the Brain Claw Slam for the win. Now in Round 2 Higuchi reignites his rivalry with Endo.

Shunma Katsumata carried a party popper into the ring and promised the referee he wouldn’t use it. He lied and popped it in Jun Akiyama’s face. Katsumata then forced his sauna cap onto his opponent’s head and made him wrestle in it. He grabbed a chair, caught by the referee and then brought in a box of Lego while the ref turned his back to remove the chair. Akiyama got fed up with his antics and emptied the box of Lego in the ring only to get caught by the ref. Katsumata took control but missed a Diving Splash, landing on the Lego. Akiyama rolled him up with a School Boy to get the win. Backstage Katsumata got mad at Akiyama for stealing his Lego and leaving him with a cut elbow. If Katsumata was going to bleed then he wished they would have done a death match today!

Maybe the big surprise result of Round 1 was Daisuke Sasaki beating Yuki Ueno in under two minutes. Mad Paulie did a lot to make that happen by interfering in the match so Sasaki could Low Blow Ueno. Sasaki rolled him up in a Samson Clutch and Paulie grabbed onto his arm for leverage behind the ref’s back to get the three count. Sasaki advances on to face Akiyama in the next round. He said he will call Shigeo Okumura to learn the true King’s Road style and use it to beat Akiyama!

An ALL OUT reunion had Konosuke Takeshita prevent Akito from repeating last year’s Cinderella run. Takeshita used a new move to win the match, applying a Chickenwing Facelock from the Camel Clutch position to make Akito submit. The two were both in good spirits afterward and shook each other’s hands with a smile. Takeshita said he came up with the new move after he lost to Akiyama but waited until King Of DDT to use it. The move does not have a name yet.

MAO pulled out a big gun on Soma Takao, using a Michinoku Driver II from the top rope to beat him. Seeing the rest of The 37KAMIINA do well has lit a fire under MAO and he doesn’t want to be seen as the loser of the group. He now has a big chance to prove it because he faces Takeshita in Round 2.

The big beefy power of Yuji Hino took everything that Yukio Sakaguchi could throw at him. The God’s Right Knee dealt a lot of damage to him and Sakaguchi sunk in the Sleeper Hold, but Hino fell into the ropes to break it. When the time came for Hino to do his thing, Sakaguchi couldn’t survive it. Hino shrugged off his Sleeper Hold, knocked him down with a Lariat and pinned him with the Fucking BOMB. Hino won but he admits it was by luck and admits that Sakaguchi is a terrifying guy.

Makoto Oishi’s over-reliance on the Fujiyama Knee Lock proved to be his undoing. Once HARASHIMA figured out how to counter it, he used it to his advantage. The counter involved setting up an Armlock then cradling Oishi into a pin. When Oishi released the hold to kick out, HARASHIMA was immediately in place to hit the Somato and win. Next up for HARASHIMA is Hino in a KO-D Openweight Title rematch from all the way back in 2012.

1. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1A: HARASHIMA Vs Makoto Oishi
2. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1B: Yuji Hino Vs Yukio Sakaguchi
3. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1C: MAO Vs Soma Takao

5. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1E: Yuki Ueno Vs Daisuke Sasaki
6. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1F: Shunma Katsumata Vs Jun Akiyama
7. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1G: Kazusada Higuchi Vs Naomi Yoshimura
8. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1H: Tetsuya Endo Vs Chris Brookes

The King Of DDT begins tomorrow and a KO-D Openweight Title shot at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” is up for grabs. The major DDT singles champions are all entering the tournament. Jun Akiyama has said if he wins then he will nominated Sanshiro Takagi as the No. 1 Contender. Konosuke Takeshita won’t let him do that because it is his intention to eventually win the KO-D Title back from Akiyama. Everyone is gunning after Akiyama though. Last year’s winner Tetsuya Endo wants to make a big turnaround for the second half of 2021 and recapture all of his glory from last year. He needs to get past Chris Brookes first and their singles matches in the past have all been too close to call. Shunma Katsumata also has a recent pinfall over the champion which is why Akiyama nominated him to be his 1st Round opponent.

The rest of the field have their stories to tell too. Makoto Oishi has a lot of confidence because his Fujiyama Knee Lock made Yukio Sakaguchi submit. HARASHIMA wants a rematch with Akiyama. Yuji Hino is interested in finding out how strong Sakaguchi can be when he gets angry. Soma Takao is interested in the cash prize. MAO is falling behind the rest of The 37KAMIINA so he does not want to become the weakest member of the group. Akito wants to advance past the semi-final stage he reached last year. Daisuke Sasaki is the only one without any motivation. He saw Yuki Ueno pin Kaito Kiyomiya and doesn’t like his own chances of doing any better. Ueno feels he cannot lose while he holds the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. There is a race to the top forming between DNA alumni Naomi Yoshimura and Kazusada Higuchi.

At the last Ganbare☆Joshi show, Yuu Yamagata defeated both HARUKAZE and Yuna Manase then swore never to come back. After months of trying to make contact, Manase disguised herself as an UberEats driver to find Yamagata’s home and confront her to get a rematch at the next Ganjo show. Yamagata didn’t want to create noise in front of her neighbours so she met with Manase at the parking lot to discuss it. She eventually agreed to come back for another match. She will team with Moeka Haruhi to face both Manase & HARUKAZE in a tag bout.

A bunch of outside help is filling up the card. 2AW, MAKAI, Gatoh Move and Miyako Matsumoto all have their own ideas for what should be on a joshi wrestling card.

1. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Battle Royal: Shinya Aoki (c) Vs Saki Akai Vs Antonio Honda Vs Toru Owashi Vs Kazuki Hirata

5. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Winner Of Match 1E Vs Winner Of Match 1F
6. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Winner Of Match 1G Vs Winner Of Match 1H

It turns out that Yusuke Okada and Kiyoshi Hayashishita are friends in real life and Okada promised a “Big Name X” for Hayashishita to see him wrestle in person. That big name is Danshoku Dieno. This is Okada’s idea because fighting Dieno means he can now truly call himself a DDT wrestler. When the three of them met for the contract signing, Dieno gave Hayashishita the Lip Lock and made him faint. Okada swore revenge and promised Hayashishita will be there to see it!

After achieving his goal of getting to wrestle again, Yoshiaki Yatsu has been invited by Takagi to compete in DDT more often if the timing and conditions allow it. Yatsu accepts the offer but wants to do more than a Battle Royal. Takagi came up with the idea to give Yatsu a shot at the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles. DDT will provide Yatsu his three partners. He’d like to have a team of Olympic quality wrestlers but will be glad to get people with amateur wrestling backgrounds.

0. Current Blast Death Match: Atsushi Onita Vs X
1. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs X

As soon as Atsushi Onita found out that a second ring would be set up for his Current Blast Death Match, he got in touch with DDT. Onita told them it takes time to set up that kind of match so he wants it to be the very first match of the day, taking place on the pre-show! DDT agreed to his request and plan to move the match over to the main wrestling ring. There will still be two rings set up on the day with something planned for the second ring. DDT just hasn’t figured out what they want to do with it yet.

*V3 for Jun Akiyama.
12. GHC Heavyweight Title – Triple Main Event III: Naomichi Marufuji defeated Keiji Muto (c) with the Tiger King Zero (23:30).
*Keiji Muto fails in V3. Naomichi Marufuji becomes the 35th GHC Heavyweight Champion!

The big supershow came and went without a hitch! DDT, NOAH, Tokyo Joshi Pro and Ganbare☆Pro all worked together to offer their best effort at Saitama Super Arena in front of 4,800 fans. When the three main events were done the three main champions of DDT, NOAH & TJPW entered the ring to thank the fans for coming to see them. Naomichi Marufuji said the CyberFight promotions will energize everyone with the power of pro wrestling. Jun Akiyama thanked everyone for attending even in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. He also thanked the fans watching on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Last but not least Miyu Yamashita pointed out this was the largest crowd TJPW has performed in front of. She is certain that many people saw TJPW for the first time today and will be happy if any of them will stick around to see more. The entire cast of wrestlers gathered together on the stage for a massive group photo to close out the show.

Only one title changed hands out of the three main event championship matches. On the NOAH side, Marufuji won the GHC Heavyweight Title from Keiji Muto in what was called a “Genius Showdown”. Muto pulled out all the stops to try and win, going far enough to pull out the Moonsault that he retired three years ago! Just as shocking was Marufuji kicking out of the pin. He then got on the attack and unleashed all of his kicking and knee strikes on the champion. Muto tried to block what he could but he fell to the Tiger King Zero and the title now belongs to Marufuji.

DDT’s main event saw Akiyama choke out HARASHIMA to retain the KO-D Openweight Title. Akiyama entered the ring carrying the giant hammer commonly seen in DDT’s hardcore matches as a sign of loyalty to the company. HARASHIMA took the big risk of doing the Swan Dive Somato but Akiyama rolled out of the way. The champion then struck HARASHIMA with a Knee Kick and then dropped him with the Wrist Clutch Exploder. For weeks the Front Neck Lock was the finishing move used by both wrestlers so it was only fitting for Akiyama to sink it in on his opponent until the referee called for the bell. Backstage Akiyama said he has now defeated all of DDT’s icons. Next in line for him is whoever wins King Of DDT. If Akiyama wins the tournament then he promises to nominate Sanshiro Takagi so they can see which of them in their 50s is stronger.

Over at TJPW, Yamashita scored her first Princess Of Princess Title defence by beating Yuka Sakazaki. The match meant a lot to both wrestlers and they brought out their big moves. Sakazaki attempted the Magical Girl 450 Splash but missed, Yamashita hit the Skull Kick but was too tired to go for the pin allowing Sakazaki enough recovery time to reach for a rope break when she was pinned. Yamashita feigned a Crash Rabbit Heat to make Sakazaki flinch, then redirected herself to hit the move from another angle. With her opponent’s defence down, Yamashita hit the move proper for the victory. Yamashita tried to communicate with Sakazaki after the match but got a big slap across the face instead. Sakazaki stormed off while Yamashita celebrated with her title. Backstage Yamashita said she wants TJPW to push even further and aim for their own event at Sumo Hall.

The big DDT Vs NOAH match of the show provided the perfect storm to show two wrestlers going in opposite directions. DDT’s Yuki Ueno is having a banner year while NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya is currently going through a rough slump of results. The DDT’s team lived up to Konosuke Takeshita’s promise of getting an overwhelming win over Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura. Takeshita used his power to do a German Suplex to Kiyomiya and his own partner Ueno. A big Dropkick from Ueno to Kiyomiya’s face was the move that captured everyone’s attention and the Best Moonsault Ever sealed the deal. Both of the DDT wrestlers were impressed with Inamura’s power though. This might not be the last time they cross paths. Kiyomiya insists that this current run of bad results is just a passing point for him.

The spirit of DDT was on full display when they went into battle against Kongo. The DDT team led by Sanshiro Takagi were as motivated as ever after Kenoh called the company a place only for wrestlers with side jobs. They armed themselves with many of DDT’s signature weapons: the Dramatic Dream Cycle, the rotary drill, the big hammer and the strongest of them all… Yoshihiko! The big meeting in the ring was when Yukio Sakaguchi and Kenoh faced off. During the chaos Kenoh must have lost his mind because he decided to use the Dramatic Dream to run over Takagi on the ramp! He and Katsuhiko Nakajima continued to beat on Takagi when Sakaguchi & Kazusada Higuchi came to the rescue. Sakaguchi hit Kenoh with the God’s Right Knee. Then, with Yoshihiko’s help, he caught Kenoh in the Sleeper Hold and held him back while Takagi pinned Haoh with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb. Takagi told Kenoh afterwards that he hates him but he will never force him to change his style. Every promotion in CyberFight can do the pro wrestling they want to do. There is only one goal and that is become the No. 1 pro wrestling power in the industry!

DDT’s offer match for the show was DAMNATION taking on the combined power of Chris Brookes & The 37KAMIINA in a trios match. MAO pulled out a firecracker but Daisuke Sasaki ducked and the pop hit Shunma Katsumata instead. DAMNATION went on a tear with Soma Takao using a Hurricanrana to Brookes out of the ring onto everyone outside, Tetsuya Endo then hitting a Swan Dive Shooting Star Press and even Mad Paulie getting involved behind the referee’s back. Sasaki finished MAO off with the Crossover Facelock to give DAMNATION the victory.

There were no heel turns in the NOAH Jr. Heavyweight match. I repeat, there were no heel turns in the NOAH Jr. Heavyweight match! The champion trio of Atsushi Kotoge, Daisuke Harada & Hajime Ohara went toe to toe against STINGER. Kotoge & Ohara cut off Yoshinari Ogawa & HAYATA outside the ring while Harada pinned Seiki Yoshioka with the Katayama German Suplex. Harada said it gives his team confidence to go into the match as champions and win.

The SKE48 idol Yuki Arai has gotten a lot of attention with her move into pro wrestling. Today was only her second match but it was still given a big spot on the card given it was her first bout in front of an audience. SKE48 graduate Jurina Matsui was in attendance to see her fight. Arai’s immediate rival Maki Itoh formed the Saitama Itoh Respect Army 2021 to steal the attention away from her. Having Yuki Kamifuku & Marika Kobashi on Itoh’s side worked out in the end because Arai almost pinned Itoh with the Finally (Axe Kick). They broke the count then got into a fight with Hikari Noa & Mizuki. With all of them out of the way, Itoh caught Arai in a Crab Hold then twisted it in a different angle to get the submission win. That version of the move is called the Itoh Punish. Jurina cheered her friend on when Arai was helped out of the ring by her partners.

One of the DDT Vs NOAH matches had Masa Kitamiya smash through Hideki Okatani in under three minutes. Okatani put up a fight in that short time but Suplexes, a Lariat and the Jail Hold resulted in Kitamiya getting his hand raised.

The unofficial SUGI & SAKU Titles match is one that Takashi Sugiura will not remember fondly in years to come. Probably not the weirdest thing Kazushi Sakuraba has ever been a part of though, to be honest. Sugiura & Sakuraba wrestled most of the match wearing their custom Super Strong Machine masks anyway. Before the match began, Super Sasadango Machine held a PowerPoint presentation titled “How To Beat Sugiura & Sakuraba”. You cannot beat them under normal conditions but Sugiura-gun are also not used to fighting against comedy wrestlers. The plan then is to make them laugh to throw them off their game. Sasadango brought out plastic bats to play a Guru Guru spinning game but Sugiura attacked him with it instead. Danshoku Dieno wore a mask of actress Takako Tokiwa’s face to seduce Sakuraba but his trap was foiled by an Ankle Lock. Sasadango unmasked in a moment that looked serious, but it was just so he could wear pantyhose on his head. Sugiura was then forced to wear pantyhose over his head too. He pinned Sasadango to end the bout and then apologised to the fans for having them watch a shit match.

The TJPW 3 Way Tag Match involved three teams all in position to get a future Princess Tag Team Titles shot. Kyoraku Kyomei warned that Shoko Nakajima was going to destroy Saitama Super Arena in a kaiju rampage but Hyper Misao would immediately fix it afterwards like the hero she is. The match went wild with Daydream and The Bakuretsu Sisters also involved. Kyoraku Kyomei came out on top in the end. Rika Tatsumi argued that Daydream still won because she and Miu Watanabe did not get pinned. Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino said they still had fun despite Aino dropping the fall.

Yuki Iino revealed a new pink wrestling outfit when he came out for the opening match. The NOAH team of Junta Miyawaki & Kinya Okada were determined to start the show off on the right track for their company. Miyawaki made Toui Kojima tap out to get his team the win. Kojima ended up with a dislocated left elbow at some point but continued to fight until the end.

The STARTING BATTLE pre-show consisted of three matches and was home to Ganpro’s matches on the day. The headline bout of this section had Shuichiro Katsumura, Kouki Iwasaki & Yumehito Imanari defeat Ken Ohka, Keisuke Ishii & Shota. Everyone involved treated the match as if they were fighting to become the hero of Saitama Super Arena. Iwasaki got the pin and said he is ready to fight with anyone in Ganpro and was proud to do his thing inside this building. Ohka closed out this portion of the show by shouting “We are Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling!”

Antonio Honda was the last person standing in the Battle Royal. The match featured the return to the ring of Yoshiaki Yatsu for the first time in two years. He wrestled with his specailly made prosthetic foot after his right leg was amputated due to worsening diabetes. Yatsu was the first entrant in the match so he wasn’t taking things easy. Wrestlers from DDT, NOAH and Ganpro filled the ring and in the end, Honda used the power of Gongitsune to guide his way to victory.

The very first match of the day was the debut match of TJPW’s newest wrestler, Kaya Toribami. There was very little information about the masked woman given out and a solid performance in the ring today raises some questions. Is this somebody who already has wrestling experience going incognito? For the rest of the field, they could hardly contain themselves to perform in a major venue.

Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno see their match against Kaito Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura as a battle between the modern generation of DDT and NOAH. Takeshita wants to win the match by a large margin while Ueno wants to prove DDT’s style of wrestling is strong because it is fun. Takeshita is treating the match like it is the main event.

The DDT Vs Kongo 12-Man Tag looks to be focusing on Yukio Sakaguchi and Kenoh. The rest of the DDT squad also take issue with Kenoh’s opinions about their company but Sakaguchi more than any other wants to face off with him. Sanshiro Takagi said the DDT team are all united. Akito threw out a jab by saying Kenoh is the only one out of Kongo that is talking and he’s not convinced that Kenoh wants to be in the match.

Yuki Arai admits to being nervous going into her second pro wrestling match. This will be the first one in front of fans. Maki Itoh is calling her team Saitama Itoh Respect Army 2021. Her partners Yuki Kamifuku & Marika Kobashi have been secretly working for her for the last six months. They seem to be okay with it because it is keeping them employed during the pandemic. Either that or they’ve been brainwashed.

A steak restaurant is sponsoring a match between Yusuke Okada and a mystery opponent. Why is this such a big deal? Well the restaurant belongs to “Big Daddy” Kiyoshi Hayashishita and he will be at ringside to watch the match. If that name sounds familiar it’s because Kiyoshi is the father of Utami Hayashishita from Stardom. To say she comes from a big family is the understatement of the century.

-. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (5)
3. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (4)
-. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
5. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

The first Ultimate Tag League winners have been crowned and it is The 37KAMIINA! A tiebreaker match was expected to come out of the last day and it came with Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata facing off against Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino from DAMNATION. Their match earlier in the tournament ended in a draw and both teams were already tired from already wrestling their own matches earlier. It all came down to Katsumata using all of his strength to give Hino a Back Drop. With the big guy out of the way, they were able to give Sasaki the MADMAX to win the league. Takeshita thanked the fans for supporting them to the very end. Katsumata was really happy because this was the first league he has ever won. He then challenged Smile Pissari to a KO-D Tag Team Titles match!

The 37KAMIINA went over Junretsu to reach the tiebreaker with Katsumata getting the upset pinfall over Jun Akiyama! At first it looked like Junretsu had the match won when Makoto Oishi put Takeshita in the Fujiyama Knee Lock while Akiyama had Katsumata in a Front Neck Lock. Akiyama went to finish him off with the Wrist-Clutch Exploder when Takeshita broke in and hit a Knee Strike. Katsumata then rolled a surprised Akiyama over with a School Boy for the three count.

DAMNATION made it to the tiebreaker at Eruption’s expense. Yukio Sakaguchi trapped Sasaki in the Cross Armbreaker but Hino broke it by Power Bombing Kazusada Higuchi onto them. Sasaki then put Sakaguchi into the Cross Facelock and Sakaguchi had to give up.

In a preview of the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match, DISASTER BOX defeated DAMNATION and HARASHIMA sent a message to Akiyama by using one of his signature moves to win. After HARASHIMA hit the Somato on Mad Paulie, he then applied a Front Neck Lock to make him submit. Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao took their anger out on Kazuki Hirata afterwards even though he wasn’t in the match. Endo also showed disrespect to Toru Owashi at the start by stepping on the O-40 Title belt and calling him a pig. Naomi Yoshimura came out of the match feeling so motivated that he wants to target all of the DAMNATION members for his stablemates.

Akito couldn’t hide his smile when he saw Yuki Ueno enter the ring with his waist all taped up. Ueno got the last laugh today by hitting him with the WR while his team went on to win the match. Akito had to be helped out of the ring and Ueno told him he is still going to wear the DDT UNIVERSAL Title despite being bandaged up.

Hirata was mistreated even more when the 5 Way Match began before he entered the ring. Danshoku Dieno propped himself over the turnbuckles to provide an An*l Power charging station for everyone to use. It powered up Antonio Honda’s Gongitsune, Saki Akai’s Big Boot, Yuki Iino’s Haka Elbow and Hirata’s Tegatana hand. Iino hit the Haka Elbow on Honda but Hirata wiped his an*l charged hand over Iino’s face for a distraction and then stole the pin.

Toui Kojima is still trying to be accepted into The 37KAMIINA. He did the “NeppoWER!” pose to Keigo Nakamura instead of a handshake. Meanwhile Hideki Okatani almost broke Yuya Koroku in half with a Crab Hold.

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (4)

-. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (3)

It’s still all to play for after Day 4 of the Ultimate Tag League. One team who had it in the bag are letting it slip while the team that looked to be out of it caught a second wind. While Kazusada Higuchi and Jun Akiyama took care of each other, Yukio Sakaguchi tried to hunt down Makoto Oishi. It got real bad for Oishi when Sakaguchi literally knocked his front teeth out (Oishi’s front teeth are all replacements)! But in a surprise, Oishi had his opponent scouted and countered his submission holds into the Fujiyama Knee Lock for the upset victory. Akiyama praised the Junrestu leader after the match. All of his front teeth are gone but he is still handsome enough to finish 4th in a Best Body Japan competition! Meanwhile Eruption are at risk of finishing outside of the top spot. They now need to beat DAMNATION on the last day for a chance to win the league.

It’s a sad end for The Iyasareru. After a great start, Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda quickly cooled off and lost the rest of their matches. Their schedule ended with a defeat to The 37KAMIINA. They had their opponents trapped in stereo Octopus Stretches but Konosuke Takeshita broke free from Brookes and Dropkicked Honda. Shunma Katsumata then used his leverage to roll over and apply a deep pin to Honda for the three count. The 37KAMIINA know they are in a difficult position to win the league on the final day. All they can do is figure out the right timing to use the MADMAX double team move so they can beat Junretsu.

Naomi Yoshimura beats Yuki Iino to prove he deserves to be in this year’s King Of DDT. Yoshimura said he will work his way to the top of the DNA generation. He also promised to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles next week.

Toui Kojima treated Match #4 as an audition to join The 37KAMIINA. He probably failed when a double team move backfired and Kojima hit Yuki Ueno by accident. That mistake gave Yusuke Okada the opening to win the match. Ueno tried to keep his attention on Akito but admits he couldn’t grasp his next challenger’s rhythm at all today. He also had his back taped up which irked Akito a bit. Akito said he was disappointed in Ueno’s performance today and a champion shouldn’t be showing off his bad condition like that. Akito doesn’t think he fought a champion today.

DAMNATION got by with some cheating to beat DISASTER BOX. When Tetsuya Endo had Yukio Naya in position for the Torture Rack Bomb, Kazuki Hirata ran in wanting to break the count. However Soma Takao stopped him in his tracks with a Low Blow, allowing Endo to hit his move on Naya for the finish. Takao added salt to the wounds backstage when he called Hirata a weak challenger for the 6-Man Tag Titles and he should be replaced. Soma thinks Hirata would be so weak of a champion he would make Yuki Ueno’s DDT UNIVERSAL Title run look better by comparison!
