6. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Perfect Plex (15:12).

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s claim of being the best wrestler, “foriegn” or otherwise in BASARA stays intact with a win over Ryuichi Sekine. Hiroshi mentioned this was his fifth singles match with Sekine and his first victory against him.

Kengo Mashimo had to be held back from Isami Kodaka after their tag match. Mashimo yelled that it wasn’t over between them two. Kodaka said he was holding the 2nd ever Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai tournament on 28th September and he wants Mashimo to enter. Mashimo considered but when he found out Daisuke Sekimoto and Yasu Urano were also entering he accepted the invitation.

The feud between Tsukasaga Army and the Kotetsu Gundan came to a conclusion with two different hardcore matches. Kotetsu Gundan came out on top of both bouts to definitively win the feud. In the Chain Match Yusuke Kubo choked out SAGAT with the chain, forcing the referee to call for the bell. Although the unit feud is over, the rivalry between these two may return in the future. FUMA then defeated Takumi Tsukamoto in a TLC Match. Tsukamoto admitted defeat and called FUMA a strong wrestler even if his heavy metal antics get in the way. FUMA then began to ramble on about instrumental songs and how they emit a melody of sorrow without the need for words. He offered a truce to Tsukamoto. Together they can be comrades united by hearts made out of the same steel. Tsukamoto called himself the Ballad Fighter and gave the heavy metal hand sign. Backstage, Tsukamoto and Kubo announced the official name of their unit. Gone is Kotetsu Gundan, now they are IRON PRIEST!

Falls Count Anywhere 3 Way Tag Match: Konosuke Takashita & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Sanshiro Takagi & MAO and Soma Takao & Kota Umeda when Takeshita pinned MAO with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster onto the floor (19:27).

handmade-2016a

DDT returned to the HandMade In Japan Festival for another Street Wrestling match. The bout took place over at the Music & Play Stage and began with Sanshiro Takagi climbing a table to get everyone chanting along with his theme song. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi arrived wearing new leopard print wrestling gear. When the match began Konosuke Takeshita throwing Soma Takao onto the ground with an Arm Drag. Takao yelled the move didn’t hurt. Takagi and Kota Umeda wrestled until others come in and formed a chain of submission holds with Takai and Umeda in the centre. When the chain broke Takagi held Umeda in a Headlock and dragged him off the stage. He yelled at everyone to take the match outside!

handmade-2016b

The match found its way over to the café area and they wrestled while other festival visitors were eating their meals. Umeda held MAO upside down inside a rubbish bin and then a link of Figure Four Neck Locks were formed. Takagi encouraged the crowd to take pictures of the chain before it broke apart. The fight then made its way back to the stage.

handmade-2016e

Hiroshi made it to the stage first and grabbed a microphone. “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Everyone gather around. My name is Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi. Although Japanese people do not know this, the top level of artists really come from the United States. I would like to show this off by singing a song to everyone today.” But before Hiroshi could sing, Takagi attacked him from behind. Takagi wanted to sing instead and began to play air guitar to “Jagged Heart Lullabye”. Hiroshi chased Takagi away and tried to sing again. While he got the crowd to clap along, Takagi returned on his Comat Bicycle and pushed Hiroshi off the stage. Amon Tsurumi and Yukinori Matsui were worried by what they just saw. If that microphone Hiroshi was holding got damaged there would have been Hell to pay!

handmade-2016c

Takagi next cycled towards Takeshita and ran him over while yelling “Die, Takeshita!” MAO then did a Moonsault from the stage onto Takeshita & Hiroshi. Takao & Umeda pushed out a pallet truck with Kazusada Higuchi standing on it and used it to crash into Takagi’s bicycle. MAO countered a Power Bomb from Takeshita into a Hurricanrana for a nearfall. Takeshita grabbed MAO again and gave him a Vertical Drop Brainbuster for the three count. After the match Takeshita invited the crowd to follow DDT and come see them at Sumo Hall on 28th August. The festival chairman came out and congratulated the wrestlers for a good show.

1. Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs OSAKA Joshi Wrestling: Sawako Shimono & Rina Yamashita defeated Mitomi Masayuki & Chikara when Yamashita pinned Masayuki with a Samson Clutch Cutback (8:36).
2. Hybrid☆Ganbare: Takaku Fuke defeated Takafumi Ito with a Cross Armbreaker (10:59).
3. Ganpuro In OSAKA Special Tag Match: Shota & TORU defeated YO-HEY & Shinichiro Tominaga when Shota submitted Tominaga with the Sharpshooter (14:12).
4. Yukihiro Abe Tomodachi-gun Graduation Test: Minoru Fujita defeated Yukihiro Abe with the Tombstone Piledriver (17:42).
5. Ganpuro Hardcore Tag Match: Ken Ohka & Ai Shimizu defeated Yumehito Imanari & Bambi when Ohka pinned Imanari with the Spear Of Flame (12:51).

Each wrestler in the main event brought along a weapon to use in the Hardcore Match. Yumehito Imanari brought a bag of candy to slam his opponents onto, Bambi had her trusty whip, Ai Shimizu carried a kunai and Ken Ohka found a cushion. Needless to say the ring was left in a mess by the end of the match. Ohka Headbutted Imanari, gave him a Brainbuster onto the candy and finished him off with the Spear Of Flame. Ohka was pleased with Ganbare☆Wrestling’s first show in Osaka and marvelled at how far Ganpuro has grown in its 3 years of existence.

Yukihiro Abe got his opportunity to show he was no longer under Minoru Fujita’s control. The former Tomodachi-gun partners held nothing back as they fought each other. Abe reversed a Tombstone Piledriver but Fujita kicked out and succeeded with a second Tombstone to win. Fujita tried to be sympathetic to the Osaka crowd by calling Abe his friend. He claimed he was selfish to split up Tomodachi-gun and it was painful to see how Abe was now all alone. He was responsible for Abe’s growth as a wrestler but he accepts that Abe may not be suitable for the wrestling life. If Abe only wants to wrestle for fun from now on then so be it. Fujita then bid him adieu.

7. Konosuke Takeshita & Antonio Honda defeated Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Honda submitted Hirata with a Manjigatame (14:41).

Kazuki Hirata spoke on Toru Owashi’s behalf before the main event began. Hirata warned Konosuke Takeshita that Owashi will be seriously strong when they fight for the KO-D Openweight Title at Beer Garden Week, so Takeshita better be prepared! The bell rang and Hirata charged at Takeshita. He took a boot to the face and was almost immediately pinned but he just kicked out before three. Takeshita later took out Owashi with a Plancha out of the ring. Antonio Honda then submitted Hirata with a Manjigatame after he avoided the Viagra Driver. Honda said he could see the look of wonder on Owashi’s face as he wrestled with Takeshita. Honda now looks forward to watching the title match. Takeshita told Owashi he is ready even if Owashi fights at 120%.

KAI was really happy to be back home in Yokohama. He went around singing the Yokohama Baystars cheer song during the show’s opening announcements. However his team’s game plan against Smile Squash fell apart when he accidentally Clotheslined both Shota and Ken Ohka. There was some recovery and the KO-D Tag Team Champions were able to hit HARASHIMA with the Double Spear Of Flame. Unfortunately Shota was the legal man and he failed to capitalise. HARASHIMA recovered, hit the Somato and won the match for Smile Squash. KAI sang the Baystars song again backstage to cheer his team up.

Daisuke Sasaki continued to attack Team DNA after DAMNATION defeated them. This prompted Dick Togo to run out and confront Sasaki for what he did to him at Korakuen Hall last week. Mad Paulie stood in his way but Togo said Sasaki’s pet is also his pet, so sit! Paulie did what Togo said and backed off. Tetsuya Endo blindsided Togo with a Dropkick from behind. Togo retaliated with a Lariat and gave Sasaki the Pedigree. He then challenged Sasaki & Endo to a tag team match at “PETER PAN 2016” in Sumo Hall. Amon Tsurumi stepped in and asked if Togo had a partner? Togo admitted he hadn’t thought that far ahead. Tsurumi decided that Mike Bailey will team with Togo to take on DAMNATION!

The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title tournament began with NωA performing their single “Never Give Up ☆ I LOVE YOU”. Super Sasadango Machine clapped to the song even though he was on the other team. Danshoku Dino questioned Sasadango’s priorities since he is wrestling for Fantastic Memories while managing NωA. Sasadango assured Dino he wanted to win the 6-Man Tag Titles. That became questionable when Sasadango held back from fighting with Makoto Oishi during the match. His Lehmann Shock attempt was unusual and allowed Oishi to cradle him into the match winning pin. Sasadango praised NωA for the win and said they passed their first test. He then apologised to the rest of Fantastic Memories for being careless and promised they will get another opportunity to go after the titles. In a backstage interview Sasadango said he wants Dick Togo to be the NωA’s fourth member.

SAGAT demanded his match with Yusuke Kubo to be a Chain Match. The reason for this is important. SAGAT often used a chain on his enemies back when he was part of the King Legion stable in Union. The same stable FUMA was the leader of.
