Suzume became a fan of Tokyo Joshi Pro when one of her friends invited her along to see a show. She moved to Tokyo to join the company and has been training for around 7 months. There’s no mention of any athletic background in her profile but she put illustrations down as her special skill. So at least we know she’ll become a wrestler who can draw (oh come on you knew I would make that joke).

The team of Miyu Yamashita & Miu Watanabe are now called Momoiro Sparkling.

The original belt had been used since the championship’s debut back in January 2016. The new belt is currently being made overseas so all we have to look at for the moment is the concept design above.

5a. Emergency Captain’s Fall 8-Man Tag Team Match: Chair (Blue) (C), Doradori-kun, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda defeated Chair (Red) (C), Pokotan, Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi when Chair (Blue) pinned Chair (Red) (10:37).
6. Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie defeated Masahiro Takanashi, MAO & Yukio Naya when Sasaki submitted Naya with the Crossface Lock (12:10).
7. Hakata Specialty! Seimon Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Akito when HARASHIMA pinned Akito with the Somato (15:59).

Daisuke Sasaki really struggled to put Yukio Naya in the Crossface Lock. It took a Low Blow just to get Naya low enough to put the move on. He tried to lift Sasaki up and out of it but Soma Takao gave him a Thrust Kick to the head. Naya wouldn’t give up so Mad Paulie gave him another kick to the head. Naya was finally pulled down to the canvas by Sasaki and he tapped out.

The Chair Vs Chair match went off to a slow start. The Red Chair and the Blue Chair both stood still, neither wanting their first move to be the wrong move. The referee Pokotan watched on when suddenly DDT’s other mascot Doradori-kun came out and attacked him! Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi ran down to save Higuchi with the help of the Red Chair. Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda then ran down to protect Doradori with the Blue Chair. They argued over which mascot was better and Dieno announced out that Pokotan has entered the annual Yuru-chara Grand Prix.

Everyone agreed to a Captain’s Fall tag match to settle their differences. The two chairs were chosen to be the captains. Normally the rules involve eliminations but only one fall was needed to get the result. Oishi and Honda both attacked each other with the chairs. This was not a disqualification because the chairs were the legal participants. After the collision the Blue Chair fell on top of the Red Chair and the referee counted to three. Hirata called the match a legendary battle. The chairs gave it their all but their flames are still burning. Perhaps the others in the ring could learn from this. Everyone made peace with each other and celebrated with the chairs.

Speaking of chairs, Match #2 went to a no contest because Dieno and Hirata brought in chairs and swung them at each other. Yukinori Matsui tried to stop them but called the match off when he was hit with both chairs.

Yuki Ueno was determined to leave Hakata with the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. He won the belt from Yukio Sakaguchi at the start of the show when he kicked him below the belt during the opening introductions. Ueno then struck Sakaguchi with the title and pinned him. Toru Owashi won the title from Ueno by winning the 4 Way Match later in the show. Ueno won the belt back afterwards when he also kicked Owashi low and pinned him. He is being criticised for kicking people in the balls but Ueno claims it is not a foul because he is only doing it outside of matches.

4. Captain’s Fall 2 Count Match: Mizuki, Himawari Unagi & Mahiro Kiryu (C) defeated Miyu Yamashita, Rika Tatsumi & Pom Harajuku (C) (13:50).
4a. Miyu Yamashita eliminated Himawari Unagi with the Cobra Clutch (6:20).
4b. Mizuki eliminated Miyu Yamashita with a Casadora (8:09).
4c. Rika Tatsumi eliminated Mizuki with a Backwards Cradle (10:51).
4d. Mahiro Kiryu defeated Pom Harajuku with the Oklahoma Roll (13:50).

The main event was a Mystery Captain’s Fall tag match with 2 count pins needed to win. The two captains were privately chosen backstage and would not be revealed until they were eliminated from the match. That led to the wrestlers trying to figure out who the opposing captain was while they fought each other. Rika Tatsumi suffered an embarrassing moment when she approached Mizuki to shake hands but was ignored. Miyu Yamashita submitted Himawari Unagi but she was not the captain so the match continued. When Yamashita went on offence against Mizuki, Tatsumi pleaded with her to stop. That distraction allowed Mizuki to pin Yamashita with a Casadora. Tatsumi tried to wrestle Mizuki but couldn’t bring herself to do it. She was even overcome with joy when Mizuki put her in a Sleeper Hold. Pom Harajuku pushed the sleeping Tatsumi on top of Mizuki for an unexpected 2 count elimination. An upset Mizuki said she hates Tatsumi after that. Mahiro Kiryu was the last one left on her team which meant she was the captain. Tatsumi missed the Missile Hips and struck Harajuku by mistake. Kiryu capitalized and pinned Harajuku with the Oklahoma Rool. It was revealed that Harajuku was the other captain so Kiryu’s team wins! Mizuki reconciled with Tatsumi after the match.

Yuka Sakazaki and Hikari Noa were challenged to a series of games. First was a bug catching contest. They were told that 5 cicadas, 10 stag beetles, 15 rhinoceros beetles and 20 butterflies were hidden around the venue. Noa found four cicada shells and a dung beetle which earned her 7 points. Sakazaki caught two proper cicadas which was enough to win with 10 points.

The 2nd game was a drawing contest. The rules here was both girls had to wrestle a brief match and their allotted drawing time depended on how many seconds they pinned their opponent for. Noa pinned Sakazaki for four seconds so she was given 40 seconds to draw her picture. Sakazaki pinned Noa for 7 seconds so she got 70 seconds drawing time. The subject they had to draw was Sanshiro Takagi. Despite having a shorter time limit, Noa’s drawing won the fan vote and she received 30 points.

The final and deciding game was a Human Watermelon Split Match. Sayuri Nanba wore a paper balloon over their head and sat down in the ring. Sakazaki and Noa were blindfolded and their goal was to hit the balloon with their bat. Whoever hit it first got 10,000 points. However Nanba had Tetsuya Koda and the new trainee Shiori sitting down beside her to act as a misdirection. Both Sakazaki and Noa were tricked by the audience into hitting Koda over and over until the time ran out. The game was a draw but since Noa had the most overall points from the three games she was declared the winner. When the blindfolds were taken off Sakazaki couldn’t resist hitting the balloon over Nanba’s head.

For the third time The Bakuretsu Sisters overate before a fan club show and became too ill to wrestle. They were replaced by the Mexcian lucadoras Mil Nodocaras & Yuki Caras who were in the country for some sightseeing. They were in for a fight because “Iron Man” played and the Up Up Warriors rushed down to the ring! The Nodocaras Sisters used their Japanese souvenirs to successfully fight off Warrior Miu & Warrior Raku.

YUMI had the size advantage to throw Shoko Nakajima around the ring but the gap in experience prevented her from winning. Nakajima countered the Full Nelson Buster into a European Clutch for the victory.

Izumi was given a short exhibition bout with Mirai Maiumi just to give her some ring time. She will reveal her official ring name and wrestling costume at an event in Akihabara tomorrow.

5. Union MAX Title: Ryuichi Sekine (c) defeated Isami Kodaka by Knockout with a Right High Kick (26:04).
*V1 for Ryuichi Sekine.

It’s only his first defence but Ryuichi Sekine has removed arguably the biggest threat of his Union MAX Title reign by beating Isami Kodaka with a dangerously close finish. After a tense 25 minutes of fighting, both men were reduced to throwing every kick they could at each other. Sekine and Kodaka were both at their limit and struggling to stand to the point where they were at risk of being counted out. After another back and forth both men were laid out with Sekine getting the last strike with a Right High Kick. Sekine was barely able to get up by the count of 9 but Kodaka was down and out. Sekine thanked Kodaka for the match but admitted he does not feel like he exceeded him today. Beating him once isn’t enough to achieve that. BASARA will be going independent soon so Sekine will follow Kodaka into independence! He also said he will defend the MAX Title against any other wrestler on the BASARA roster.

Any attempt to bring harmony among The Iron Family went right out the window with their tag match. The Hiroshi du Soleil team pushed each other during their entrance while the IRON PRIEST team came out separately despite using the same song. The dissension within both teams got worse to the point where the tag team match looked more like a 4 Way Match. The match was called off when the referee Yuya Okada got knocked out during the chaos. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi got the match to restart but this time as a 4 Way. When FUMA won, Hiroshi began singing “Imagine” which reduced FUMA to tears. FUMA said he never thought Hiroshi was into metal or rock music but here he is singing a song from the source of heavy metal… The Beatles!(?) Yusuke Kubo and SAGAT joined in the hug and all four forgave each other. The bonds of The Iron Family have been healed!

The main event of “FUMA FEST VOL.3” is FUMA Vs TAJIRI in a Hardcore Match. The show will take place on 16th November.

7. Burn, The Country Of Fire! Fight, DDT! Kumamoto Specialty Special 4 Way Match: Konosuke Takeshita defeated HARASHIMA, Daisuke Sasaki and Antonio Honda when Takeshita pinned Honda with the Fable (18:14).

The heavyweight Kodai Nozaki threw his weight around in Match #5. He and Kazusada Higuchi combined their weight and dropped onto Yuki Ueno with a stacked Body Press. Naomi Yoshimura had the strength to Back Drop Nozaki but he wasn’t able to save his partner from Higuchi’s Doctor Bomb. Higuchi offered to have a match with Nozaki sometime. He was surprised to learn that Yoshimura discovered such a young and large wrestler like him in Japan.

Ueno snuck up on Yukio Sakaguchi after the show and hit him in the head with a microphone. Ueno then stole the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title and was chased into the ring. Ueno rolled up Sakaguchi but only got a two count. Sakaguchi got up and sent Ueno on his way after some strikes.

Match #4 was turned into a Handicap Match simply because Kazuki Hirata noticed that Yoshihiko came out with the other team.

*GPW fails in V1. Real GUTS Army becomes the 21st GWC 6-Man Tag Team Champions!

The bad times keep on coming for Ganbare☆Wrestling in their feud with Real GUTS Army. After yesterday’s clean sweep in singles matches, today saw the GUTS Army win the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles. A blind tag was the key to victory. Kenichiro Arai made contact with Shota before Shota was hit with the Chubby Knee Kick. Yumehito Imanari was confused when his pin on Shota wasn’t being counted. Arai then jumped in and Cradled Imanari for the three count.

Arai introduced himself to the audience after the match. He explained he’s been wrestling on the independent scene for almost a decade now but the DDT System never booked him until today. He thinks the DDT System is afraid of him! His comments provoked Ken Ohka into challenging him to a match on 14th September. Ohka also saw Guts Ishijima in the room and told him they can have a match too whenever Ishijima’s injury goes away.

Shuichiro Katsumura’s next challenger for the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title is Mitomi Masayuki on 14/9. Katsumura’s goal as champion is to hold onto the belt long enough to defend it at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019!” in Sumo Hall this November.

Kouki Iwasaki ends his Big Japan challenge with a 1-1 record. He kicked away Ryuichi Kawakami’s offer of a handshake after their match.

Both HARUKAZE and Cherry were dressed in summer clothing for their match. HARUKAZE wore a yukata while Cherry wrestled in a swimsuit. Cherry was armed with a floating ring and didn’t hesitate to use it.

Shinichiro Tominaga appeared for the first time in a long time. He is currently recovering from a an ACL injury. He announced his return to the ring is on track to happen in September.
