*V6 for Aijin Tag.
6. Union MAX Title -Dosukoi Gathering Presents-: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) defeated Ryota Nakatsu with the Running Zudon (22:48).
*V2 for Takumi Tsukamoto.

Today was the official start of the Shinjuku FACE Countdown Series, a collection of farewell shows held by many different wrestling promotions before the famed Shinjuku FACE shuts down at the end of the month. Sendai Girls ran the first show of the series earlier today and BASARA was next on the schedule. The venue hosted BASARA’s debut show back in 2016. Ryota Nakatsu was in the very first BASARA match back then and he got to be in the final BASARA match to be held here today. Unfortunately for him he wasn’t able to beat Takumi Tsukamoto for the Union MAX Title. After the match Tsukamoto gathered the locker room together so they could all thank Shinjuku FACE and say their goodbyes to the venue.

The dominant run of Aijin Tag continues as they have now reached their 6th defence of the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. With Death Volleyball Club taken care of, they now look forward to facing their next challenge. BASARA announced during the show that the IRON FIST Tag Tournament will be returning this year and Aijin Tag plan to enter it with the intention of becoming back to back champions. Then they can nominate their next challengers afterward. One of the possible teams entering the tournament was set up after the show. Ryota Nakatsu was approached by Shota Nakagawa to team up together for the tournament.

This was Gouma Ryu’s final appearance in Shinjuku FACE and he wanted to play a bigger part in it. He bribed the referee with 30,000 yen to allow him to stay in the ring for Match #2 and get directly involved even though he was only supposed to support his team at ringside. That idea ultimately backfired when he tried to hit Yasu Urano with his law book and knocked out Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with it instead by accident.

9. Seiwa Shoji Co. Ltd. Presents HARASHIMA 25th Anniversary Debut Match ~ Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Chris Brookes defeated Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuko Miyamoto when HARASHIMA pinned Miyamoto with the Swan Dive Somato (20:36).

The spotlight was all over HARASHIMA for today’s DDT show in his hometown. Before any of the matches began, the mayor of Ome City appointed HARASHIMA as a PR Ambassador for a community initiative called OmeBlue. HARASHIMA then returned for the main event to wrestle in a special match celebrating the 25th Anniversary of his debut. He teamed up with Chris Brookes to fight two wrestlers he has past connections with, Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuko Miyamoto. The outsider team didn’t take it easily on HARASHIMA just because it was his big day. They both targeted HARASHIMA’s legs throughout the match. Sekimoto also grabbed Miyamoto while Miyamoto held onto HARASHIMA so a Double German Suplex spot could be pulled off. Miyamoto also used a series of signature moves including the Gannosuke Clutch, Fire Thunder and Moonsault Press but couldn’t pull out the win. Instead HARASHIMA used a Reverse Frankensteiner on Miyamoto, hit the Somato and finally pinned him with the Swan Dive Somato.

HARASHIMA thanked Brookes for his help and the fans for their support as the reasons why he could win. He is happy that DDT was able to run in his hometown for the second year in a row and hopes everyone comes back to do a third event next year. HARASHIMA believes pro wrestling generates a certain kind of energy among people and wants people to spend the final day of Silver Week thinking they were glad they went to see wrestling.

There was a preview of Shinya Aoki & Junta Miyawaki versus paleyouth. The paleyouth team was Takeshi Masada & Daichi Sato which is not the combination that will challenge for the KO-D Tag Team Titles soon. However Aoki scored the pinfall on Masada who will be on the challenging team. Even though Yuya Koroku only stood at ringside for the match and didn’t do anything, Aoki complained about him afterwards for having a pathetic physique. Masada called today’s loss a minor setback and promised to eat a lot of spinach on 27th September to have arms like Popeye for the title match.

Sanshiro Takagi held Minoru Suzuki in place so the Ome City mayor could chop him during their match. Also Kazuma Sumi is convinced that Aja Kong attacked him so much because she thought he was Yurika Oka.

2. Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Hyper Misao & Ren Konatsu when Raku pinned Konatsu with the Doctor Yellow (9:36).
3. Mizuki defeated Momo Sato with the Southern Cross (7:52).
4. 3 Way Match: Shoko Nakajima defeated Arisu Endo and Shino Suzuki when Nakajima pinned Suzuki with an Inverted Hurricanrana (8:08).
5. Yuki Aino, Haru Kazashiro & Uta Takami defeated Miu Watanabe, Rika Tatsumi & Kira Summer when Aino pinned Summer with the Venus DDT (12:27).
6. Yuki Arai, HIMAWARI & Mifu Ashida defeated Suzume, Toga & Chika Nanase when Arai submitted Nanase with the Scorpion Death Lock (15:04).
7. Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Miyu Yamashita & Sakura Hattori when Kiryu pinned Hattori with the Spinebuster (12:51).

This year’s show in Gunma made Mahiro Kiryu more emotional than it usually would. It is not only her homecoming show but was the last time she and Yuki Kamifuku were teaming up together in the area as the Toyo Mates before Kamifuku retires at the end of the year. During the main event Kiryu tried to do her Dogeza Knee Drop onto Miyu Yamashita but Yamashita started to power herself out of it. Kamiyu stopped that by poking Yamashita in the eye and then she knelt onto Sakura Hattori so she could join in on the apology. Kiryu apologised to everyone for all of the times Kamiyu blinded her opponents over the last nine years. Kamifuku saved Kiryu from taking a German Suplex from Yamashita and the two got rid of Yamashita with a Wheelbarrow/Famouser combo. Kiryu was then able to beat Hattori by herself giving Toyo Mates something of an upset win over K!SS//.

After the match Kiryu talked about how she and Kamifuku are the same age and went to Toyo University at the same time but were complete strangers to each other until they met through Tokyo Joshi Pro. Now that this match is over it’s finally hitting Kiryu that Kamifuku is retiring soon. Kamifuku said when she was looking for a tag team partner she wanted a beautiful and stylish older sister type like her first tag partner Yuna Manase. She thought Kiryu was ordinary, plain and had no standout qualities but seeing her today full of confidence and proudly fighting a main event match in front of her hometown is so cool! Kamifuku can now graduate from TJPW with peace of mind knowing that Kiryu has become a cool and tough wrestler.

Yuki Arai won another prelim match against Suzume, making Chika Nanase tap out to the Scorpion Death Lock while Mifu Ashida held Suzume back from breaking the hold. Arai can feel the momentum building up behind her but she expects Suzume to kick things up a notch for the remaining matches before “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII”. Arai is now thinking she might hold a side of herself Suzume hasn’t seen yet back until then. Suzume said watching Arai win the match right in front of her has lit a fire inside as she gathers clues on how to beat her. By the time they fight for the Princess Of Princess Title, Suzume is sure she will win it.

The arguments haven’t stopped between Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi. They were bickering over who should start the match today which allowed the other team to get the jump on them. Poor Kira Summer found herself in the middle of Daydream’s problems their attempts to help her out only made things worse. Daydream seemed to finally get on the same page when they both did Backbreakers to Haru Kazashiro & Uta Takami but Tatsumi then complained that the move hurt her too and she started arguing with Watanabe again. Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed took advantage and picked their opponents apart until Yuki Aino pinned Summer with the Venus DDT. Tatsumi chose to help Summer back after the match while Watanabe kept her distance away from her partner. Backstage Daydream apologized to each other but neither were happy with the other’s apology so they stormed off in separate directions while Summer didn’t know what to do.

When Hyper Misao mentioned that she loves the mascot Gunma-chan during her pre-match speech, Pom Harajuku told her that Gunma-chan was here at the show today! It turned out to be Raku wearing a paper Gunma-chan mask. Misao & Ren Konatsu didn’t fall for the trick but Harajuku joined in the fun by wearing a rubber horse mask to fit in with Raku.

4d. Shuichiro Katsumura eliminated Ken Ohka with the KKB (14:30).
5. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Mizuki Watase (c) defeated Yumehito Imanari with a Running Elbow (17:51).
*V7 for Mizuki Watase.

After complaining about Ganbare☆Pro’s lack of telling stories with their recent match bookings, Yumehito Imanari failed to capitalize on his own big story today. On the day he turned 41 years old, Imanari thought it would be exciting if he could win the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title on his birthday. He couldn’t break through Mizuki Watase though with every Lariat and Elbow Strike only getting a two count on the champion. Watase then stopped Imanari in his tracks with a Dropkick, used the Venetian for a nearfall and finally put Imanari away with the Running Elbow. Imanari blamed his loss on Ken Ohka sending him a Happy Birthday email at 11:40 am when Imanari expected to receive it at midnight. He exclaimed that even Chikara Momota wished him a happy birthday before Ohka did! Imanari then called Watase a wild card and wrestling is in need of more wild cards. Watase told Imanari that GanPro cannot function without him because his pro wrestling is full of love.

Watase’s victory speech was soon interrupted by Shuichiro Katsumura and the two started talking about GanPro’s next Korakuen Hall show on 31st October. Katsumura said he never had a singles match with Watase so they should have one. Watase agreed but Katsumura then talked about wanting to become a double champion again. Watase likes the sound of that and wants a chance to become one too so he challenged Sussun Katsun for the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles with Jun Kasai as his tag partner. Katsumura suggested they do the tag title match on 12th October but Watase turned it down because he wants both title matches to happen at Korakuen on the same show! Michiyoshi Mishima decided that both title matches will happen on 31st October but the SOG Tag Titles match will be the opener while the SOG World Title match is the main event. Suddenly Watase and Katsumura both started arguing with Mishima because the two of them want to do the title matches back to back! Mishima accepted the idea but only promised to do it if FREEDOMS agree to let Kasai do it. They did and the two matches are confirmed for Hallowe’en night. If that’s not enough title matches for Watase, he will soon be challenging for the King Of FREEDOM World Title and the Tenryu Project 6-Man Tag Team Titles too!

There were some changes to the Toyama Vs Naka Ward match. First, Shinichiro Tominaga had to pull out of the show due to family circumstances. Ken Ohka & Masashi Takeda talked to the audience at the start of the show asking if there was a wrestler from Toyama among them willing to fill in for Tominaga? They unexpectedly got an answer from Uta Shima, a joshi wrestler who often takes part in amateur pro wrestling clubs as an Asuka parody named ASHUKA. She accepted their offer to prevent the bout from becoming a Handicap Match. The other change was the match now took place under Elimination Rules which included getting thrown out of the ring Battle Royal style. Katsumura’s team won and Abdullah Kobayashi credited himself for the good result. Katsumura & Minoru Fujita both tend to disagree with that and tried to ignore Kobayashi’s requests to join the Naka Ward Assembly.

The result of the opener didn’t sit well with Non Toraga. She hit Moeka Haruhi with an Elbow Strike after the match, unhappy that she was pinned by Haruhi’s Cradle move when she had victory in her grasp.

It will still be a while before Yuna Manase returns to the ring from injury but she had kept herself busy. During her time away she held an audition to find disciples she can train into becoming pro wrestlers for the Ganbare☆Joshi division. Today she introduced everyone to her two trainees. En is a long time GanPro fan who wants to become the first woman in the “GanPro Universe” to become a GanJo wrestler. However she is not some starstruck fan doing this to become friends with the wrestlers. She intends to fight with everything she’s got and earn her support from the fans. Nono Nakajima is a pro mahjong player from Osaka. She wants to become a cheerful and energetic wrestler who embodies the passionate spirit of GanPro. The trainees will be learning from Manase, YuuRI and the rest of the GanJo division as they prepare for their debuts.

Muntatsu Nakamura was in attendance and gave everyone an update on his injury status. The surgery on his ACL was a success and he should be able to walk without crutches starting next week. He expects it will be Summer next year when he is fully fit to return to wrestling. Until then he is focusing on strengthening his body so he can come back strong0.

The show took an early intermission after the second match when a problem was found with the ring.

6. Yuki Arai, Miu Watanabe, Rika Tatsumi & Miyu Yamashita defeated Suzume, Arisu Endo, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro when Arai submitted Suzume with the Scorpion Death Lock (15:28).

This round goes to Yuki Arai. A champions versus challengers 8-Woman Tag ended with Arai blocking the Ring A Bell from Suzume and countering it with the Full Nelson Buster. Then after that Arai made Suzume tap out to the Scorpion Death Lock. Suzume had actually hit her finisher on Arai earlier in the match but Miyu Yamashita broke the pinfall. Daydream had a mishap when Miu Watanabe missed a Batting Hammer swing and hit Rika Tatsumi by accident. Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro took advantage of that to clear them out of the ring but weren’t able to save Suzume from submitting to Arai. Yamashita also held the EVE International Title up after the match for Arisu Endo to see. Endo responded by hitting Yamashita with an Elbow Strike. Meanwhile Daydream started squabbling over who should speak on the microphone. They ended up dropping it and Tatsumi walked away to be by herself. Arai tried to cheer everyone up to close out the show. Yamashita joined in while Tatsumi and Watanabe made sure to keep a distance from one another.

Yesterday was Respect For The Aged Day in Japan so Pom Harajuku was dressed like a grandad for her match and encouraged Raku to dress up like a grandma. The result of this was HIMAWARI getting booed whenever she attacked her seniors.

Mifu Ashida was unable to make the show today and had to miss out on the match above. She had been working abroad recently and the typhoon weather in Japan cancelled her flight home.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: MAO (c) defeated Fuminori Abe with a Bridging Gedo Clutch (19:14).
*V3 for MAO.
-. Emergency Match: Ilusion defeated Sanshiro Takagi with the Chinga Tu Madre! (1:12).
*Ilusion cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere, Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet. Ilusion wins Sanshiro Takagi’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.
-. KO-D Openweight Title: MAO (c) defeated Ilusion with the Cannonball 450° (4:35).
*V4 for MAO. Ilusion cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.

The KO-D Openweight Title situation is now changing to the point that wherever MAO goes, chaos ends up following him. For the second time in his reign he has now defended the title twice in back to back matches thanks to shenanigans involving the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlets. Today’s main event started off with MAO putting the belt on the line against Fuminori Abe. The match called back to a bout they had two years ago when a kick to the gut led to Abe throwing up in his mouth a little. There was a risk of it happening again today but Abe was able to prevent himself from repeating his embarrassing moment. The playful actions between the two turned more competitive as the match went on, turning to a tit-for-tat game of one-upmanship. MAO was one step ahead of Abe for the finish, countering the Manjigatame and setting up a series of back and forth cradle pins that ended with MAO using a bridging version of the Gedo Clutch to win the match.

Then things started to get crazy. Sanshiro Takagi walked out after the match promising to avenge Abe’s defeat by cashing in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet on MAO just like he did at Sumo Hall last month. However, Ilsuion then showed up carrying the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere, Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet he won earlier in the night (and also created in the very first place) and he declared he was cashing it in on Takagi’s Gauntlet! A match between Takagi and Ilusion began right away and the two tried to out-Stunner each other. Ilusion caught Takagi with an Enzuigiri afterward and grabbed him into the Chinga Tu Madre! cradle for a three count out of nowhere. So now Ilusion holds the last remaining Gauntlet for a KO-D Title shot. Ilusion told MAO he is too tired from the match he just had to cash in and he still has the rest of the month to use his prize so he’s going to make MAO wait for their title match…

Just kidding! Ilusion suddenly gave MAO a Low Blow and decided he was cashing in his title show right away! A bonus KO-D Title match then began with Ilusion trying to roll up MAO for a quick win while other wrestlers from DAMNATION T.A removed one of the turnbuckle pads. MAO hit the exposed buckle but was able to dodge the Swanton Bomb. Ilusion used another Low Blow and got to do the Chinga Tu Madre! again but MAO kicked out of it. DAMNATION T.A interfered further until Yukio Naya, KANON & KIMIHIRO showed up to fight them off, leaving MAO to knock down Ilusion with a Palm Strike and then pin him with the Cannonball 450°. When that was over MAO talked about the chaos that’s happening in DDT right now before turning his thoughts over to Abe. MAO wants to keep fighting Abe as his ideal rival even when they both grow old because they get to discover how deep the world of pro wrestling can go.

The KO-D Title picture is now completely cleared out after today. All of the Right To Challenge Gauntlets have been used up and a No. 1 Contender has not emerged while the dust is still settling. Hisaya Imabayashi asked MAO to nominated his next challenger for the Sumo Hall show on 3rd November. MAO said he had already faced Yuki Ueno in the main event of Ryogoku but there is one other person he wants to share that experience with. It’s Chris Brookes! He is the person MAO keeps coming back to because Brookes chose DDT and stayed with them at a time when all of his friends in the UK chose other companies. MAO wants himself, Ueno and Brookes to be part of this moment where it feels like DDT has finally overcome its tough times. He doesn’t mind if the match gets so crazy it ends in a Double Count Out as long as the match is with Brookes. They have been setting ARENA Shimokitazawa on fire with Baka Gaijin + Friends so now they will do the same to Sumo Hall!

Ryusuke Taguchi was putting more than just the DDT Universal Title on the line when he fought Antonio Honda. He was also fighting for his son’s admiration! Ryusuke’s son Shisho Taguchi is currently a musician and became acquainted with Honda after seeing his band Daisetz live. Honda taunted Ryusuke by making it his goal to win the Universal Title and use it to pose for a picture with Shisho, something that Shisho has never done with his father throughout his life! Shisho was in attendance for the match and Honda couldn’t resist to get him involved. He held Ryusuke for Shisho to chop him but Shisho couldn’t bring himself to attack his own dad. However when Ryusuke reversed the position with Honda, Shisho also couldn’t bring himself to hit his friend! Ryusuke brought the match back to the ring where he worked over Honda’s knee. Honda used the powers of Gongitsune and Hiroyoshi Tenzan to fight back but Taguchi would keep the match in his control and submit Honda with the Ankle Lock. The match got a happy ending backstage when Ryusuke, Shisho and Honda all took a picture together with the Universal Title belt.

The Universal Title is also going to take a trip over to New Japan soon. Taguchi asked Akito after the match if he could defend the belt over there because he is feuding with Dick Togo on the current tour. Taguchi pointed out that he has already defended the title against Daisuke Sasaki and Antonio Honda so it would be a great story if his next defence would be against their mentor Togo. Akito said plans were already being made for a title defence to happen at DDT’s next Korakuen Hall show on 18th October but he will allow Taguchi to defend it in NJPW before then. After the show had ended it was confirmed that Taguchi will put the title on the line against Togo at New Japan’s 17th October show in Hokkaido. Then the winner will come back to DDT on the 18th for a title match against Akito! Taguchi promised to give it his all and return to DDT with the Universal Title, but he also admitted he may only give Togo 50% effort so he apologizes to everyone in DDT in advance should he end up losing the belt to Togo. He also promised to continue pitching Kazuma Sumi to be his tag partner for the upcoming Super Jr. Tag League.

You can see why Ilusion had a plan in place for today. He’s been collecting so many championship belts lately that he could have ended the day with the cherry on top that is the KO-D Title. Instead he just has to live with winning the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles with DAMNATION T.A again. He continues his masked man rivalry with Viento Levante and had MJ Paul to pull out the referee just when it looked like the match would be lost to Strange Love Connection. More cheating happened with Daisuke Sasaki & Hideki Okatani attacking KANON & Yukio Naya with chairs and bamboo sticks. Levante finally got his hands on Ilusion and tried to choke him out with a Sleeper Hold but Ilusion escaped and trapped Levante in the Chinga Tu Madre! to pin him and win the titles. Ilusion added insult to injury after the match by telling Levante it doesn’t matter if he changes his name and goes to Mexico, he is still the same small fry he always was.

DAMNATION T.A then announced they will not be taking on all comers for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles. Instead they will decide who they will defend the belts against. However, NωA Jr. entered the ring to make their argument towards getting a title shot. Sumi said now is a crucial moment for the trio because they are all back together now. Shunma Katasumata has returned from injury while Yuni had finished his college entrance exams. The three of them now want to show everyone a view that only they can create as the champions. Ilusion said he might accept the challenge if NωA Jr. approach him backstage and beg on their knees for the match. Hisaya Imabayashi ignored him and confirmed NωA Jr. will get a title shot on 27th September. Backstage Sasaki predicted DDT are going to strip DAMNATION T.A of the titles again like last time so they may as well vacate them before it happens. Ilusion wants the group’s top priority to be them crushing the wannabe idols first and then they can vacate the belts.

Has Mr. IWGP now become Mr. Iron Man? Yuji Nagata was the special guest for a match celebrating the 34th Anniversary of Jun Akiyama’s debut. Nagata and Akiyama bought made their debuts in 1992 and have been generational counterparts divided by separate companies ever since. Akiyama got to start off the match with HARASHIMA and that meant Nagata was paired off with Danshoku Dieno. That meant Nagata would inevitably get a face full of Dieno’s Hell Gate but that just awakened the demon inside him! Nagata threw Dieno over with an Exploder Suplex and then pulled HARASHIMA into the Nagata Lock II. Akiyama meanwhile applied the Front Neck Lock onto Dieno, who rather than tap out decided to pull down his tights instead. Yukinori Matsui called off the match to avoid the incident from getting worse and declared that Akiyama had won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from Dieno. But while Akiyama celebrated with his title, Nagata rolled him up for a pinfall and won the belt off him! Akiyama later tried to win it back off him backstage but couldn’t pull it off. Now the question is does this count as a New Japan wrestler taking away the Iron Man Title or is it a Super Japan wrestler that did it?

With MMA now seemingly behind him, Shinya Aoki can put more of his focus on being a menace in the pro wrestling ring. He quickly showed off his skill in the 3 Way Tag by grabbing both Brookes and Yuki Ishida in a Double Manjigatame style hold at the same time. Junta Miyawaki carried over the momentum by cutting off a double team from Hinata Kasai and Masami Inahata. Aoki also ruined the rubber band spot and threw the thing away. He paid for that when Ishida got to use the spot against him. Miyawaki found himself alone against the two other teams but the action broke down to the point where Aoki could take out a bunch of wrestlers with a Topé Suicida, leaving Miyawaki alone with Kasai in the ring. Kasai didn’t have what it takes to take Miyawaki down and the match ended with him getting pinned with the Sunshine Suplex.

The KO-D Tag Team Champions were then confronted by paleyouth after the match. Both Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku claimed they have been starving ever since they lost the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles. Aoki disagreed and pointed to Koroku, calling him fat. Masada said Aoki is wrong because Aoki is super skinny compared to everyone else. paleyouth then asked for a title shot and got what they wanted. Miyawaki was complimentary to Masada because they are both the same age but Aoki continued to call Koroku fat and advised him to slim down before the match takes place on 27th September. Koroku promised to get himself shredded but he doesn’t appreciate having to do it on a week’s notice.

Soma Takao’s farewell tour of DDT continues with a singles match against Kazuki Hirata happening today. He was on pace to beat Hirata in quick fashion but when he held him upside down for the Gin And Tonic, Hirata pleaded to be let go because he had something important to say. When Hirata was freed he took out a heartfelt letter he wrote about the memories he made with Takao. He is sad that their time together is ending so before Takao goes, Hirata wanted to dance with him one more time. Takao wasn’t really interested in doing that but Hirata forcefully put the Hirata GO! glasses onto his face and he couldn’t help but get into the mood when the music played. They danced together and then continued to wrestle, ending in short order when Takao pinned Hirata with the Gin And Tonic.

Before Akiyama’s 34th Anniversary match happened, there was Daichi Sato’s 5th Anniversary to celebrate first. The teenage heavyweight was on the winning side with the rest of paleyouth as they defeated The 37KAMIINA in the opener. To-y got a mouthful of Masada’s fingers once again and was double teamed by different combinations of paleyouth until Masada & Koroku finished him off.

Two of the NωA Jr. had a tune up tag match on the pre-show. Kazuma Sumi and Yuni were on opposite sides of a tag match with Naomi Yoshimura and Tomomitsu Matsunaga also involved. Matsunaga was put off by Sumi’s speed and threatened to use a fan in the front row as a human shield to stop Sumi from doing a dive out of the ring. Yuni did not use such outside the box thinking tactics and was pinned by Sumi who used the School Boy as a counter for Yuni’s own cradle attempts.

*Danshoku Dieno becomes the 1,907th champion.

The Hero of Niigata suffered a crushing defeat for his homecoming but he doesn’t mind that. Super Sasadango Machine has a lot of history with HARASHIMA going back to Sasadango’s very first match in June 2002 when a trainee named Yoshihiro Sakai fought HARASHIMA’s masked alter ego HERO! in the dark match. Sakai didn’t properly debut until 2004 and he wrestled for years as Muscle Sakai before retiring and then returning under the hood as Super Sasadango Machine. Because of this history, Sasadango made a request for today’s match against HARASHIMA to commemorate the 24th Anniversary of his very first match because he wonders how his career would have turned out if he had kicked out of the HERO! Splash at the 2.9 count. During the match HARASHIMA purposely used HERO!’s moves on Sasadango including the HERO! Splash. Sasadango soon decided to wrestle the rest of the match unmasked so he could catch his breath and he combated HARASHIMA’s Middle Kicks with Dropkicks. He also hit the Vertical Drop Lehman Shock but HARASHIMA kicked out of it and soon hit the Somato for the victory.

After the match HARASHIMA thanked Sasadango for bringing back some fun memories they made together. Sasadango was still lying on the mat when he asked HARASHIMA how he could move around so easily when their careers are just one year apart? Sasadango was never able to close that gap but it is because of these gaps that people like Sasadango are able to keep wrestling. This might be the last singles match they’re ever going to have (HARASHIMA disagreed) but Sasadango wants everyone from his generation to stick around and work hard for DDT a little while longer.

There were rumblings going about that a new wrestling unit wanted to form to fight against Strange Love Connection. Before Match #5 began Danshoku Dieno, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda wanted to create a new faction called DAH. They came up with the name because the wrestlers would turn into Dieno The Dangerous, Anton The Amazing and Hirata The Heel. SLC decided to turn the match into a Captain’s Fall Handicap Match. If SLC lost then they would split up so DAH could take their place as a DDT unit! SLC actually almost lost the match with most of their members getting eliminated and the team captain KIMIHIRO getting knocked out with a chair shot. But KANON saved the day by pinning captain Hirata directly to win the match and prevent DAH from ever becoming a thing.

Sasadango did not wrestle the match wearing his Sasadango Championship belt because Ilusion still holds claim to that title. At the end of the show Ilusion brought the belt out to brag about it. While doing that he became unaware of Danshoku Dieno sneaking into the ring behind him. Dieno turned Ilusion around and gave him the Lip Lock before pinning him to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title.
