Endo Leaves TEAM 2000X, Now Aiming To Reach The Top Of NOAH

May 18, 2025

It’s been a over a month since we last paid attention to Tetsuya Endo’s story in NOAH so what’s going on with him now? Well we rejoin Endo right after he decided to leave TEAM 2000X! When we last left him he was in a dramatic situation that led to Takashi Sugiura bringing in Jun Akiyama to try and set him straight. Endo refused to learn his lesson about being who he really is so a tag match was set up to settle their problems.

7. Special Tag Match: Jun Akiyama & Takashi Sugiura defeated Tetsuya Endo & Owadasan when Akiyama pinned Endo with the Starness Dust α (16:49).

This match was Akiyama’s first appearance on a normal NOAH show in over four years. He has wrestled on their Limit Break spin-off events and also the two “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL” shows but not the regular NOAH brand in that time. Owadasan had faced Akiyama before on those Limit Break shows back when he was known as Yu Owada. During the match Endo & Owadasan cheated by targeting Sugiura’s groin but once Akiyama got into the match like a house on fire, Endo wanted to fight him clean. He even refused to hit Akiyama with the weapon Yoshitatsu handed over to him. The two exchanged Exploder Suplexes on each other until Akiyama hit Endo with a Knee Lift to the face. That got a two count so Akiyama pulled out the Starness Dust α to put him away. He patted Endo on the chest after the match and told him something before leaving. Whatever it is he said, it made Endo start to question everything he’s been doing in NOAH lately.

3. Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura & Masa Kitamiya defeated Tetsuya Endo, Daga & Owadasan when Sugiura pinned Owadasan with the Olympic Qualifier Slam (10:29).

Endo continued wrestling tag matches for TEAM 2000X trying to forget what happened. He had unfinished business with Sugiura and started complaining that NOAH were booking himself, an outsider, on more shows than they were booking Sugiura who belongs to the promotion. Endo again went for Low Blows on Sugiura while Owadasan did taunts saying Sugiura should be trying to rehabilitate him instead of Endo. Yoshitatsu interfered again to attack Naomichi Marufuji & Masa Kitamiya but once again when he offered a weapon to Endo it was refused. Then Endo went one step further by giving Tatsu the Exploder Suplex! He then stood aside to let Sugiura beat Owadasan to end the match.

Sugiura smiled afterwards and told Endo they should work together and aim for the top of NOAH by chasing after the GHC Heavyweight Title. Endo admitted he doesn’t like the way TEAM 2000X is being run so he is leaving the unit! The two shook hands to cement their new alliance. But there was more to come from this turn of events.

1. GHC Heavyweight Title – Survival 3 Way Match: OZAWA (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo Vs Takashi Sugiura

After OZAWA retained his GHC Title in the main event Endo got into the ring now wearing a NOAH shirt. He didn’t come to NOAH to get worthless victories with TEAM 2000X, he came here to fight OZAWA and take the GHC Title from him! OZAWA asked what is wrong with Endo because they were like twins. Now it turns out Endo is a traitor instead! OZAWA blamed Sugiura for this and demanded he get into the ring too. Why? Because OZAWA wants to fight both of them at once! He decided his next GHC Title defence will be a Survival 3 Way Match against Endo and Sugiura where the last man standing will be the champion. Endo accepted the challenge and told OZAWA they were never twins. He then put his hand on Sugiura’s shoulder and said they’re all triplets! OZAWA didn’t understand and asked if Endo took a hard slap to the head?

Backstage Endo said he’s been in NOAH for five months now and it’s best for him to act quickly. He did have a goal to get revenge on NOAH but as he felt more of a disconnect with TEAM 2000X, he felt more excitement from fighting the NOAH wrestlers. So now he has an opportunity to turn the tide and prove to fans that DDT is not inferior to NOAH. He could strategically use his alliance with Sugiura to eliminate OZAWA first but he feels that is more like a Handicap Match and it goes against his mindset.

A wrestling ring was set up next to the boat race lake for Ganbare☆Pro to host a couple of matches in between the races. While none of the wrestlers were unlucky enough to take a dip in the water, the main event did spread out of the ring to take advantage of the surroundings. Also some of the wrestlers in Match #2 attacked each other with water guns.

Having The Great Sasuke as one of the guest wrestlers inspired Munetatsu Nakamura to use the Michinoku Driver II to win their tag match.

Ken Ohka & Mio Shirai had an uneasy time teaming up again for the first time in 13 years but they were able to find that chemistry again as the match went on. Shirai also got into a fight with YuuRI after the match to build up their tag bout on 1st June.

9. Shosho Kogyo Co., Ltd. Presents Special Tag Match ~Sakuyakonohana Dramatic Dreams Vs Superhuman Teacher & Student Wrestling Masters~: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & Yuki Ueno defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Dick Togo when Ueno pinned Sasaki with the WR (26:59).

The annual Osaka show put together by referee Yukinori Matsui took place today with Konosuke Takeshita’s return to DDT as the headline match. He teamed up with his friend and rival Yuki Ueno to fight the master and student pairing of Dick Togo & Daisuke Sasaki. Togo acted like his normal self for the match rather than his House Of Torture persona and while Sasaki did fight a little dirty at points it was mostly a clean and competitive match between the two sides. An exposed turnbuckle made the most impact by coming into play late in the match. Togo & Sasaki both put their opponents in the Crossface Lock only for Takeshita & Ueno to grab each other by the hands and power out of the holds. Takeshita blocked Togo from doing the Diving Senton onto Ueno and when Togo gave him a Dropkick, Takeshita hit back with a Knee Strike that led to both of them going out of the ring. Sasaki tried to finish off Ueno himself but got a Dropkick to the face and was then pinned with the WR.

Ueno welcomed Takeshita back after the match, reminding him it’s been three years since they last teamed together. Takeshita thinks a lot of people who came to the show today know him more for his New Japan matches than his DDT career so he explained his backstory with Ueno to the fans. He doesn’t know if or when there will be a next time they are in the ring together so he told Ueno they will always be each other’s classmates. Matsui said the match was so amazing that it made him laugh. Togo wanted to shake Matsui’s hand but it was just a trap and he gave him the Pedigree before leaving. Ueno then thanked the fans for coming to the show.

Could we be seeing more of Kohei Kinoshita in the future? He recently announced he will be leaving Dove Pro in August but hasn’t said what his plans are going to be after that. Chris Brookes beat him today in a non-title match but could he be sending some signals out by having a good performance against the KO-D Openweight Champion?

Match #5 went off the deep end because of No Name. She took both Kikutaro and Kuishinbo Kamen away from the ring backstage and after a few moments some screaming could be heard coming from their direction. No Name then returned to the ring carrying their decapitated heads! Everyone else in the match fainted from shock including Matsui. No Name ran off with the heads and Daisuke Kiso had to call off the match. Antonio Honda, Shunma Katsumata and Ram Kaichow all recovered afterwards and helped Matsui regain consciousness by kicking him.

Takeshita’s mother Keiko Takeshita was in attendance and even interrupted the opening speeches. When Matsui tried to stop her she gave him a Lariat and the Rainmaker.

7. Yoshiko Hasegawa, HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki defeated Suzume, Arisu Endo & Haru Kazashiro when Hasegawa submitted Kazashiro with the Muffler Hold (13:00).

Yoshiko Hasegawa said she was able to win the main event thanks to the wrestlers she was teaming with. But next time she will have to fight alone when she challenges Suzume for the International Princess Title. That match happens on 31st May at Shino Suzuki’s homecoming show so she told her they have both have to win there. She wants to see her juniors live selfishly like she is right now. HIMAWARI later said she wants to keep winning too so she can challenge for the IP Title again. Backstage Suzume said she could feel the sincerity coming from Hasegawa and it is firing her up for the title match.

The four year anniversary of Kaya Toribami’s pro wrestling debut is coming up soon. She was introduced to Tokyo Joshi Pro by Shoko Nakajima and while she had fun wrestling on the undercards, she never considered herself as someone who could challenge her seniors for championships. But recently her feelings about that changed and she now wants to have a passionate title match with Nakajima where she can fight her heart out! Nakajima asked which of her two championships does Toribami want to fight her for and she picked the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title because she wants a singles match with Nakajima in particular. Nakajima said she understands Toribami’s abilities better than anyone and then explained she needs this championship to keep going back to America. The title is also a magical belt that can make dreams come true. It can transform a small Japanese girl into a giant monster that can shock the world! Toribami understood and promised to go beyond her potential to try and take it from her. The title match will take place on 7th June, the first day of Toribami’s fifth year as a pro wrestler. Backstage Nakajima approved of what Toribami did today because she normally doesn’t stand out much. She thinks it would do Toribami some good if she stood out more.

The new ring announcer and replacement for Sayuri Namba was properly introduced to everybody for the first time after being revealed on a Youtube video yesterday. Rise Shirai will begin her new role on the 24th May show acting as Namba’s apprentice for one month. The apprenticeship will last up until Namba’s graduation in June.

6. Chouten ~Itadaki~ 2025 – Round 2 Block A: Keisuke Ishii defeated Isami Kodaka with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (13:38).

Four wrestler remain in the Chouten ~Itadaki~ tournament. The outsider Keisuke Ishii dumped BASARA’s own Isami Kodaka out of the bracket in the main event. It was their first singles match against each other in 12 years. Kodaka told Ishii afterwards they shouldn’t have to wait that long again to have a rematch. Ishii will face Takumi Tsukamoto in the semi final in what will be their first singles match together in around 15 years. Tsukamoto couldn’t beat Daichi Kazato with the regular Zudon so he had to use a spinning variant to get the three count. Daiki Shimomura is on a tournament run that could end up becoming his redemption for the year long suspension he went through. He eliminated Tomoki Hatano and will now face Ryota Nakatsu who he has beaten before in the 2021 tournament. Nakatsu defeated FUMA to reach the semi finals and is currently feeling in top form. He thinks Shimomura hasn’t got any heart and the two almost got into a fight backstage during the post-show interviews.

6. Special Tag Match: Shigehiro Irie & Shota defeated Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku when Shota pinned Masada with the Gannosuke Clutch (17:02).

The second D GENERATIONS show was a complete defeated against the Young Communication generation. All across the board the young wrestlers were beaten by their senior opponents. It started with Keisuke Ishii beating Kazuma Sumi then built up to Shota using the Gannosuke Clutch to pin Takeshi Masada in the main event. Shota told the DG wrestlers that it is ok to lose matches every now and then given how often they wrestle every week. The big mistake they made today was letting him win the match so he could give the winner’s speech on the microphone! He said his generation are the stars of the show meant for young wrestlers so next time they should take over the entire thing. When he left Sumi told the others they should join forces at the next show on 12th June to crush Shota & Shigehiro Irie because they are the future. Yuya Koroku agreed and said we can’t keep looking back at the past. The DG wrestlers should be confident in what they’re doing now to move forward.

On the bright side when the DG wrestlers fought against rookie wrestlers from other promotions most came out on the winning side. To-y had a come from behind victory against Ryoma Tsukamoto while the young DAMNATION T.A wrestlers beat the Ganbare☆Pro team with a little bit of cheating involved. Only Yuni lost his match against an outsider when Ali Najima defeated him.

-. Danshoku Dieno Produce Match ~ Woof Woof Paradise Insurance Match: Haku, Ponta, Komachi, Zac & Qoo defeated Akito and Yukio Naya when Naya awakened his love for animals (59:40).

A much needed break from King Of DDT begins this week so the time was right to visit the Beer Garden along with some cute critters. Danshoku Dieno came up with an idea to have a match between a bunch of dog owners so they could all bring their pets to the ring. So it ended up being him, Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Kamifuku and Yoshiko Hasegawa all taking part with their beloved pets running alongside them. Dieno had the foresight to realize the wrestlers would be so preoccupied with minding their dogs at ringside that they wouldn’t actually be able to actually wrestle. So Akito and Yukio Naya were booked to have a match of their own taking place at the same time. The problem with that is they wrestled too close to the dogs which could have frightened the dogs and also blocked the fans from seeing the actual stars of the show. Hisaya Imabayashi complained to them about it on the microphone and ordered Akito and Naya to have their match first out of the ring and then backstage away from the dogs. That ended Part 1 of the match.

Part 2 took place after the main event when Akito and Naya returned to ringside, still fighting each other. By this point they had been fighting for nearly an hour. The other wrestlers with their dogs returned to the ring and Dieno asked Naya to hold Haku for him. Naya couldn’t believe how cute Haku was and he burst into tears before collapsing onto his back. The other dogs Ponta, Komachi, Zac & Qoo gathered around Naya while Imabayashi explained to him just how precious their lives are. Naya understood and apologised for caring more about his match than for the dogs. The bell then rang to end the match now that Naya discovered his new love for animals.

Kazuma Sumi decided to wrestle his match wearing a plastic bag over his head with the Dos Caras mask design drawn over it. DAMNATION T.A unmasked “Sumicaras” and choked him with the bag.

Kazusada Higuchi wrestled the Submission Match wearing a Judo outfit. Yuya Koroku had KANON in the Modified Triangle Lancer when Higuchi grabbed him in a Katahajime and forced him to give up.

6. Aja Kong defeated Mahiro Kiryu with the Back Drop (7:30).
7. Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara (w/ Fujikyun♡) defeated Maki Itoh & Toga when Kamifuku pinned Toga with the Diving Famouser (13:02).

As is usually the case when Tokyo Joshi Pro visits Yuki Kamifuku’s neck of the woods, the show was a charity event sponsored by Fujisawa City. Part of the proceeds were donated to a university scholarship fund made to support local children. In the main event Ober Eats were accompanied by the city mascot Fujikyun♡ who cheered them on and even helped Kamifuku reach a rope break at one point. Maki Itoh was in a cheeky mood for the match because she wanted to beat up Fujikyun♡. Then when she found out where Kamifuku’s parents were sitting she dragged Kamifuku over to them in a Headlock and got them to spank Kamifuku! Wakana Uehara took out Itoh with a Snap Suplex, allowing Kamifuku to Dropkick Toga and pin her with the Diving Famouser.

Kamifuku thanked everyone for coming to the show even with a disruption to the Odakyu Line today. This is the fourth time TJPW put on a show like this for her which means a lot because Fujisawa City is an important part of her identity. She told a story of meeting her middle school teacher recently. The teacher told Kamifuku they remembered she always wanted to be in showbiz and it must have been tough to take such a difficult path to get there. Kamifuku told the teacher that children aren’t as weak as they think and anyone can make their dreams come true. She also reminded everyone today is Mother’s Day so remember to thank your parents. She later told Uehara she hopes today encourages her to liven up Ebina just like how Kamifuku livens up Fujisawa. Elsewhere Itoh told Toga they just lost what was supposed to be her triumphant return match in Japan.

Before the Aja Kong Vs Mahiro Kiryu match could begin, Kiryu noticed Kong brought along an 18 gallon steel can and asked if she was going to hit her with it? Kong says so what, it counts as part of her body so what’s the problem? The response must have stirred something within Kiryu because she then claimed she will not apologize today and will beat Kong instead! She then apologized for saying that and when the match began apologized again for telling everyone she wasn’t going to apologize only to immediately go back on her promise. She gave it a good go after that but Kong treated her like a small fry. She hit Kiryu over the head with the steel can and then knocked her down with a Lariat. Kiryu kicked out of the pin, earning her a chant from the fans but Kong then pinned her with the Back Drop. After the match Kong patted Kiryu on the head and told her she wasn’t a small fry after all. Her lesson was if Kiryu can work that hard against her then she is capable of working hard in general. She thanked TJPW for booking her today then started talking about wanting a singles match with Kamifuku because Kamifuku keeps running away from the idea!

Today was Fumirin’s first day working with TJPW as a referee. She was the official for the first, third and fifth matches on the show while Daisuke Kiso was the ref for the other matches on the card. Fumirin had to deal with Pom Harajuku’s screaming in Match #3 which was described as her being baptised into the company.

Hyper Misao missed the show due to a right hand injury so some of the undercard matches had to be changed around.

7. King Of DDT 2025 – Round 2: Yuki Ueno defeated Daisuke Sasaki with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch (21:22).

The final rounds of this year’s King Of DDT are next on the horizon with only four wrestlers left in the running. Yuki Ueno is in the clear after advancing past one of his most troublesome opponents Daisuke Sasaki. It was a match where Sasaki fought pretty cleanly for the most part, possibly proving Ueno’s theory that he’s been having more fun with wrestling lately. There were some dirty tactics here and there but it wasn’t as overwhelming as you would expect from DAMNATION T.A. The match instead came down to a battle of technique with Ueno winning out in the end. He countered La Mistica Crossface Lock into a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch to get the pinfall victory. Ueno said if he can win two more matches to become the tournament champion then he will be one step closer to the future he wants. He also said if Sasaki is going to shave his own head for losing like he promised then he will let him but that doesn’t mean Sasaki can join The 37KAMIINA. However according to Sasaki, after the match Ueno whispered in his ear that he doesn’t need to cut his hair off because Ueno felt sorry for him. Sure he said that, Sasaki.

The “Yukio Naya Killer” continues his streak. KANON once again defeated Naya in a singles match, this time pinning him with his Modified Facebuster that is now called the LONELY DEZIRES. He resorted to using the move after hitting Naya with several Dropkicks that wouldn’t keep the big guy down. KANON bowed to Naya after the match but Naya couldn’t help but pound the mat in frustration. KANON said backstage that the result is a reminder that he can be part of DDT’s heavyweight division too.

If the course was set for HARASHIMA to pull off a heroic charge through the brackets, Hideki Okatani and DAMNATION T.A killed off any chance of that happening. Okatani attacked HARASHIMA before the bell and stomped him down in the corner so he wouldn’t make an instant comeback like in Round 1. MJ Paul and Ilusion also interfered, including a moment where the two of them landed a Combined Body Press onto HARASHIMA. Despite fighting them off and having some energy left for his opponent, HARASHIMA soon fell to Okatani’s cheating. When he went for the Somato, Okatani hit him with his bamboo stick. The pin only got a two count so Okatani then finished him off with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster.

The one in the tournament who looks most unstoppable at the moment is Kazusada Higuchi. He had a Chop Vs Kick battle with Takeshi Masada with both trying to withstand the punishment as much as they could. When they both reached the brink they charged in for one last blow. Masada got the first hit in with a Middle Kick but Higuchi was still standing and he hit back with a Short Range Lariat. Masada was knocked down from that and couldn’t kick out of the pin.

A lottery took place at the end of the show to pair off the semi finalists. When the balls were all chosen we all learned the matches on 25th May will be Ueno Vs Higuchi and KANON Vs Okatani. Backstage Ueno said everyone in DDT knows how amazing Higuchi is but DDT needs more than that to move forward so Ueno can’t just leave it to him. Higuchi said Ueno is filled with a lot of thoughts lately. He though will just focus on what’s in front of him next. KANON said he is ready to kill Okatani but then remembered he is filled with love now so he corrected himself to say he knock Okatani from Heaven down to Hell. Okatani said he will decided whether KANON can laugh or not. He will make sure KANON will never be able to laugh again!

After seeing the success Strange Love Connection is getting from having an MC as part of the act, SCHADENFREUDE International decided they should add something new to their group too. Antonio Honda brought out a puppet from Thailand named Bunbun. He got to take part in SCHADENFREUDE’s usual spots so it’s already as if he’s been part of the group the whole time.

Everyone in Danshoku Dieno’s match wanted to give him their support for the DDT Universal Title shot. But when Dieno tried to wrestle the match Strong Style Kazuki Hirata and Toru Owashi told him he can never beat Minoru Suzuki that way. So they all started encouraging him to be Danshoku again and even eagerly made themselves victims to Dieno’s Hell Gate, even the opponents Shunma Katsumata, Soma Takao & To-y. However things went in a bad directions when Takao ran face first into Dieno’s backside. Dieno all of a sudden felt a movement in his stomach and blew wind, knocking out Takao with the smell. Dieno didn’t want to win the match that way so he half heartedly applied the Strong Arm Lock and Yukinori Matsui agreed to call a TKO so the match could end in a slightly more respectable manner.

A contract signing was held during the show for the 25th May Universal Title match between Suzuki and Dieno. The challenger talked about spending the last month abandoning his Danshoku style to become someone who is prepared not just to fight Suzuki but beat him too. The Universal Title is the only DDT belt that Dieno has not won yet so it has sentimental value to him. It is also a chance for him to bring a championship back into DDT after an outsider took it away. He believes the Danshoku Dieno he is now is the version Suzuki wants to fight. He was then questioned by Suzuki who wanted to know why is it that Dieno does pro wrestling? He wanted Dieno to look him in the eyes when he asks if he can do this match? The two had a staredown and Dieno reminded Suzuki he once said it’s not about whether or not you can do it. You just do it. Suzuki believed him and simply told Dieno not to regret this decision.
