3. Yuki Arai defeated Chika Nanase with the Scorpion Death Lock (6:48).
4. Rika Tatsumi defeated Uta Takami with the Dragon Sleeper (10:11).
5. Suzume & Arisu Endo defeated Haru Kazashiro & Shino Suzuki when Endo pinned Suzuki with the Ju no Okite (9:44).
6. Yuna Manase & Toga defeated Miyu Yamashita & Kira Summer when Toga pinned Summer with the Rock Bottom (10:09).
7. Mizuki, Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao defeated Miu Watanabe, Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara when Misao submitted Uehara with the Chickenwing Face Lock (17:11).

The second show on today’s Kitazawa doubleheader was the more usual Tokyo Joshi Pro affair. With “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” just under two weeks away it was time for a champions versus challengers 6-Woman Tag Match to headline the show. Mizuki teamed up with Kyoraku Kyomei while Miu Watanabe joined forces with Ober Eats. Before the match began Hyper Misao felt so confident about the champions’ chances of winning that she called her shot and predicted she would take the winning fall from Wakana Uehara. She suffered a setback when Yuki Kamifuku took the spray can from her and sprayed her in the face with it. Things between Mizuki and Watanabe were also more competitive terms with some moments of good sportsmanship coming off like it was an act of passive aggression. The match came down to the two tag teams with Misao clasping the Chickenwing Face Lock onto Uehara. Shoko Nakajima cut off Kamifuku’s rescue by hitting her with the Diving Senton, giving Uehara no option but to give up.

After the match the champion team all talked about defending their titles on 20th September. Misao said she is now even with Uehara after losing to her a few weeks ago and today’s result proves that Uehara’s win was just a fluke. She’ll prove it again at their singles match in Aizuwakamatsu next weekend that Kyoraku Kyomei’s odds of beating Ober Eats are at 99.99999999999%! Nakajima then told Kamifuku that they will be fighting each other in Texas next weekend for the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title. She admits she’s been having fun wrestling against her lately. Mizuki then acknowledged that Watanabe has become more of a Cinderella recently so when the Princess Of Princess Title is on the line, Mizuki wants to win when Watanabe is in her most sparkling form.

The new team of Yuna Manase & Toga has gotten off to a good start. They’re already some teamwork down and had each other’s backs when Miyu Yamashita & Kira Summer launched a counter attack. Manase put all her trust in Toga when she lifted Summer into a Samoan Drop position and then told Toga to hit her with an Elbow Strike to add more oomph to the move. When Manase used another Samoan Drop to get rid of Yamashita, Toga went and pinned Summer with the Rock Bottom. After the match Toga suggested to Manase backstage that they can go challenge for the Princess Tag Team Titles, then decided they should do it. Manase liked the idea because she always wanted to win that title. She then shouted over to Tetsuya Koda at the other side of the room that they want a title shot. She and Toga will also come up with a team name.

The next “TJPW INPIRATION” show will be held on 19th November and will feature the one night only return of Yuu to Tokyo Joshi Pro! TJPW was her original home promotion when she debuted in 2016 up until she left in 2018. She is planning to retire from pro wrestling on 28th December so part of it includes her “coming home” for the first time in seven years. For her TJPW return she is going to team with Kamifuku to take on Nakajima & Yamashita!

The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) performed their newest song “Love Motto” at the start of the show.

6. Mizuki defeated Uta Takami with the Cutie Special (9:39).
7. Miyu Yamashita & Toga defeated Shoko Nakajima & Haru Kazashiro when Yamashita pinned Kazashiro with the Skull Kick (12:24).

Today Tokyo Joshi Pro are holding two shows inside Kitazawa Town Hall with the first being the next installment of “GO GIRL”, an event held for an audience of women only. After the main event Miyu Yamashita told everyone she loves the atmosphere of these shows while Toga pointed out this is the second “GO GIRL” in a row she got to be in the main event for. She is happy to show everyone how much she has grown and also to see so many girls screaming in front of her. For the newcomers in the crowd, Toga told them that TJPW is full of charm and she’d love it if they would come back to see more shows, like the second one happening this evening for example. Yamashita then told Toga not to feel discouraged about the next show just because they will be on opposing teams this time.

The Dragon God Hold used by Rika Tatsumi is just a humble rolling Sunset Flip. But she is the God of 3 Way Matches which make it so much more powerful.

1. Naomi Yoshimura & Tomomitsu Matsunaga defeated Rukiya & Hinata Kasai when Yoshimura submitted Kasai with a Side Headlock (9:37).
2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi, HARASHIMA & Yuki Ishida defeated Shigehiro Irie, Soma Takao & Kazuma Sumi when Ishida pinned Sumi with the Flame Palm (9:01).
3. Hideki Okatani, Ilusion & MJ Paul defeated KANON, KANON & Daichi Sato when Paul pinned Sato with the Reverse Splash (12:01).
4. Yuki Ueno, To-y & Yuya Koroku defeated Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya & Jun Akiyama when Koroku pinned Naya with a Body Press (13:37).
5. Special Tag Match: Minoru Suzuki & Shinya Aoki defeated Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada when Suzuki submitted Masada with a Heel Hold (7:25).
6. Special 3 Way Match: Kazuki Hirata defeated Danshoku Dieno and Antonio Honda when Hirata pinned Honda with the Anal Egoist Driver (13:45).

With three Right To Challenge Arm Covers still in play and at least two of its holders wanting to cash them in as soon as possible, Kazuki Hirata intentionally delayed himself and arrived late at the venue. That meant when Yuki Ishida wanted to cash in his Arm Cover for a KO-D Openweight Title shot after Match #2, Akito had to tell him he couldn’t because Hirata hadn’t made it to the building yet. When Hirata finally arrived it was right when the entrances for the main event took place so he went straight to the ring bringing his luggage with him.

As for the actual main event, Hirata wanted to go all out in the ring against Danshoku Dieno and Antonio Honda. He went as far as to decide against putting on the Hirata GO! glasses while also encouraging Dieno not to go into the Hell Gate position. Honda even avoided tripping over the ropes to keep the match serious. But when the match was about to reach its conclusion where Hirata would beat Honda using the Egoist Driver, the voice of a fairy from the GO! glasses spoke out to Hirata asking if he was really okay with doing things this way? Then the voice of a fairy from Dieno’s pants started to speak, asking Dieno a similar question. Finally, a third fairy’s voice spoke to Honda but it was from Gongitsune itself. Honda snapped everyone back to their senses and the three agreed to use their gimmicks. Hirata put on the glasses, Dieno went into the Hell Gate position with his pants pulled down and Honda used the Hell Gate to charge up Gongitsune. Hirata blocked Honda’s attack, turned it against him and then used the Egoist Driver to win the match.

Hirata quickly got changed after the match wanting to leave the venue as quickly as he could. However both Yuki Iino and Yuki Ishida climbed into the ring wanting to cash in their RTC Arm Covers. They were both suddenly attacked by Honda who heroicly shoved each of their heads into Dieno’s Hell Gate to knock them out. Dieno then told Hirata that the three of them will always be the “2nd Match Mates” even when they are in the main event. He and Honda are proud of what Hirata has accomplished and they encourage him to carry their feelings as his title reign survives for another day. He then told Hirata to go home so the show would end which means no one will be allowed to cash in on him today. Hirata ran off but bumped into the third RTC Arm Cover holder Hideki Okatani along the way. Luckily for him, Okatani didn’t know what was going on and he allowed Hirata to escape.

Ishida then recovered and tried to cash in his title shot but Akito explained to him that the show was now over and Hirata went home. Akito admitted this rule is a blindspot DDT did not expect to be exploited and he asked Ishida to wait until the next show to cash in. Then sometime later in the day Hirata actually returned to the venue to take part in an autograph session. Ishida approached him demanding the title match but Hirata told him the show is already over and he has to wait. All he can do is offer him some chocolate, which Ishida accepted. Hirata was also asked who he wants his scheduled challenger to be on 28th September and he once again said Hisaya Imabayashi. First it was because Imabayashi is a weak opponent but now Hirata believes it will also be the most unpredictable KO-D Title match DDT could ever put on!

Takeshi Masada is now learning the consequences of angering Minoru Suzuki. There was a contract signing for their upcoming DDT Universal Title match during the show. Masada spoke about how he is still haunted by how the first time he challenged for the title went and winning the belt this time will erase those painful memories. Suzuki laughed at those comments and told Masada not to use him and the championship as something to create a happy memory with while he is still young. The contacts were signed and the two posed for pictures when Masada hit Suzuki with an Elbow Strike. That made Suzuki so mad he attacked Masada with a chair and hit him in the left leg with it multiple times. Their tag match later in the show still went ahead despite Masada clearly favoring his injury and Suzuki continued to target the limb until Masada gave up to a Heel Hold. Backstage Suzuki gave a message that Masada does not realise who he is challenging. The Universal Champion is Minoru Suzuki and he is going to break Takeshi Masada!

The next challengers for the KO-D Tag Team Titles got a shock win over the champions. Yukio Naya was going to give Yuya Koroku The World’s Best Back Drop when To-y cut him off with a Dropkick. Koroku then repositioned himself to land on top of Naya as they both fell and he got the pinfall out of nowhere. To-y then bragged about being louder than Iino was during the match. He did it to show that he and Koroku have their own strengths that can be used to beat The Apex’s power. Those strengths are Koroku’s grit and To-y’s cockiness.

There was also an emergency press conference involving Yuki Iino that took place at the show. He announced he has become a trainee for his local American Football team, the Nojima Sagamihara Rise and will now become a duel athlete while he continues his pro wrestling career with DDT. Iino thought about doing this when he was recovering from his eye injury, feeling at 30 years old he wanted to play a field sport again and would regret it if he didn’t. When Iino approached Sanshiro Takagi with the idea of playing American football, he received an immediate approval. Takagi at the announcement said wrestling has a history of American football players switching to pro wrestling but the other way around is quite rare (like Brock Lesnar and that whole thing is among the biggest wrestling butterfly effects to happen in the 21st century). The Rise GM Mitsunobu Ishii brought up examples of other dual sport athletes and said he has high expectations for Iino. The plan is for Iino to play on the defensive line and become a registered player in time for next year’s season of the X League. Should he make it to the first team then his gridiron career will take priority. He will then wrestle in DDT whenever his schedule allows it.

5. Six Major Single Match V: To-y Vs Takeshi Masada ended in a Time Limit Draw (15:00).
6. Six Major Single Match VI: Yuki Ishida defeated Yuya Koroku with the Flame Palm (13:06).
*Yuki Ishida wins Yuya Koroku’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Arm Cover.

This latest edition of the D GENERATIONS spin-off shows ended up building its focus around the Right To Challenge Arm Covers. Of the three prizes still active, two of them belong to D GENERATIONS wrestlers and one even switched hands in the main event. Yuya Koroku targeted Yuki Ishida’s left arm in their match but Ishida relied on his Dokusoi spirit to stay in the fight. It took two Flame Palm strikes to put Koroku away but still Ishida left the match with the green Arm Cover belonging to him. After the match Ishida said he wants many more matches with Koroku in the future so he can catch up to him in wins. He then declared he will cash in his Arm Cover on Kazuki Hirata for a KO-D Openweight Title match at the second DDT show happening in Yokohama later today!

The semi-main event saw the DDT Extreme Champion and the next challenger for the DDT Universal Title fight each other to a time limit draw. To-y took a page out of Takeshi Masada’s own book by doing the pulled rubber strap spot on him rather than the other way around. The two also fought outside the ring where they gave each other a Brainbuster each onto the floor. As the final minutes wound down To-y and Masada countered each other’s moves while looking for a pinfall but the match ended without a winner being decided.

The other RTC Arm Cover that was on the line during this show belonged to Hideki Okatani. He had to deal with Kazuma Sumi who became a trickier opponent to figure out as the match went on. However Okatani was able to beat him with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster, keeping the future KO-D Title shot still in his grasp.

Requiem For Vengeance is the name of Ryoma Tsukamoto’s Jackhammer finisher. Do you reckon he’s a Gundam fan?

A very busy weekend of shows ahead. Let’s start off with the match order for the D GENERATIONS show that will kick everything off.

The current Right To Challenge Arm Cover holders are Yuki Iino (Red), Hideki Okatani (Blue) and Yuya Koroku (Green).

DDT “YOKOHAMA BAY☆CLUTCH”, 06/09/2025

1. Naomi Yoshimura & Tomomitsu Matsunaga Vs Rukiya & Hinata Kasai
2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi, HARASHIMA & Yuki Ishida Vs Shigehiro Irie, Soma Takao & Kazuma Sumi
3. Hideki Okatani, Ilusion & MJ Paul Vs KANON, KANON & Daichi Sato

5. Special Tag Match: Minoru Suzuki & Shinya Aoki Vs Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada
6. Special 3 Way Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Kazuki Hirata Vs Antonio Honda

The card has been changed around a bit because Akito has aggravated an old injury of his and will not be at the show tomorrow. Tomomitsu Matsunaga will come in to take his place.

A big task awaits for Takeshi Masada. It’s bad enough he pissed off Minoru Suzuki when he challenged him for the DDT Universal Title but before that match happens he also has to deal with Shinya Aoki in the meantime.

Yuki Iino will be hold an emergency press conference at the show tomorrow. I don’t expect the news to be drastic like him leaving the company anytime soon just because he’s already in the middle of a storyline and holds a few prizes that DDT would need take off of him if he was to leave for somewhere else. Maybe he just wants to announce when he is cashing in his title shot.

6. Yukio Naya 8th Anniversary ~ Special Tag Match: Yukio Naya & Kazusada Higuchi Vs Yuki Iino & Jun Akiyama

The addition of KANON to the Enter Sandman Match also means KIMIHIRO will be getting involved too. If there was ever a time for someone to try rapping over Metallica, this would be it.

Another match where Masada has to fight Aoki. That better sharpen him up for Suzuki pretty good.

7. Arisu Endo & Yuki Arai Vs Miyu Yamashita & Haru Kazashiro

On the same day this show happens, Shoko Nakajima and Yuki Kamifuku will be wrestling each other for the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title over in America. When MLW made the decision to book that match, Tokyo Joshi Pro came up with an idea to have the other halves Kyoraku Kyomei and Ober Eats face each other back in Japan. That means Hyper Misao and Wakana Uehara are going to clash one on one in an international buildup for the Princess Tag Team Titles!

One of the novelties that happen when TJPW come to Arisu Endo’s hometown is the local mascots get involved in the show. Akabe and Kappa Green have both featured on these shows in the past but never at the same time. Until next weekend that is.

Preparations for the upcoming Iron Fist Tag Tournament are in full gear at the next BASARA show. Takeru Inoue and Tomoki Hatano will be teaming up for the tournament but they will wrestle each other here first. Several other teams will be in action too.

At the last show Masato Kamino teamed up with WizRYU under a mask as Body Slam Machine. Now Gouma Ryu had nothing to do with that but the new unit is named after him so he better be careful if Takato Nakano thinks he is taking away his Aijin Tag partner.

Daichi Kazato gets his wish to team up with Guts Ishijima. His tournament partner Ryota Nakatsu is on the team too so at least there is someone normal there for Ishijima to get along with.

Yasu Urano, KUBITO & Diego all have Togo to thank for various part of their wrestling careers.

DDT Around The World – Special Investigation

September 4, 2025

Where in the world is Keigo Nakamura? It might be Mexico.

Before we get into this let me say I do not take any credit for finding the information below. This was all found and passed around different Discords a couple of weeks ago, mainly the Voices Of Wrestling one is where I heard about this. To get people up to speed, Keigo Nakamura made the decision earlier this year to go on an overseas excursion. After he wrestled his last match for DDT at the end of April he went off the radar and no one has publicly found out where he went to.

It started with the discovery of a tweet from Dragongate wrestler La Estrella back in May. He spends a lot of his time wrestling in Mexico these days while keeping a loose affiliation to his home promotion. In the tweet he mentioned teaming with a mysterious Japanese luchador named TOKI for the first time. Further investigation from Discord users found the same luchador popping up in the Mexico indies here and there under the name Tokio. Is this the boy we’re after? A couple of Tokio’s matches have made it to Youtube but the evidence isn’t a home run. I’ve also found it pretty much impossible trying to find info online because when I search for “Tokio Lucha Libre” I may as well be searching “Tokyo Wrestling”.

But hey, if you want to judge for yourself here are the videos of his matches that have surfaced so far. There’s not a lot he does to stand out but there are glimpses to be seen here and there.

4. Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya & Akito defeated Jun Akiyama, Soma Takao & Daichi Sato when Iino pinned Takao with the Spear (10:04).
*Yuki Iino wins Soma Takao’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Arm Cover.
5. Yuki Ueno’s Birthday Celebration Match ~ Special 6-Man Tag Match: MAO, KANON & Yoshihiko (w/ KIMIHIRO) defeated Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kazuma Sumi when Yoshihiko pinned Sumi with the Reincarnation (15:50).
6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi, Ryota Nakatsu & Yuki Ishida defeated Satoshi Kojima, Antonio Honda & Yuya Koroku when Ishida pinned Honda with the Flame Palm (16:47).

Last November was when Satoshi Kojima wrestled in DDT and he came back today in order to team up with Yuya Koroku. The two of them both trained in the Animal Hamiguchi Gym. The main event also had Ryota Nakatsu paying DDT a visit so he can team with Harimao again. Kojima’s team wasn’t able to win but after the match Koroku told a story backstage about him getting an autograph from Kojima eight years ago. At the time he told Kojima he wanted to be a pro wrestler and it would be great if they were in the ring together some day. Kojima said he loves the atmosphere of DDT shows that you can’t find in other companies.

At some point before the show took place, Ilusion kidnapped Bunbun from Takeshi Masada and hung him upside down above the ring! So obviously the match between SCHADENFREUDE International and DAMNATION T.A was turned into a Ladder match to see who could get Bunbun down first! Masada made up for letting Bunbun get captured in the first place by being the one to pull him down after he Power Bombed Ilusion from the ladder.

It should be a brand new day for DDT with a brand new champion at the helm but it turns out winning the KO-D Openweight Title has not made Kazuki Hirata stronger even one tiny bit. He held a press conference in the ring before the show began where he talked about all of the wrestlers who sent him congratulatory messages for the title victory. Konosuke Takeshita sent him a 5,000 yen gift card while Hiromu Takahashi asked if he could get a title shot sometime. Hirata passed on that idea but he was informed that his first scheduled title defence will take place at Korakuen Hall on 28th September. Hirata asked for his opponent to be either the GM Hisaya Imabayashi or the referee Daisuke Kiso but he was denied. Instead Imabayashi told him he has until 12th September to pick his opponent. Hirata said he wants to get a challenger who is as weak as possible.

We then saw how Hirata has made no progress in the second match when he was immediately pinned by HARASHIMA. The match restarted only for HARASHIMA to quickly pin Hirata again. Another restart led to a proper match going ahead but HARASHIMA still got to beat Hirata a third time. It made HARASHIMA ask for a title shot but Hirata turned him down, explaining that it wouldn’t be worth it for HARASHIMA to win the title from a very weak champion. His fans would only approve if HARASHIMA beat an incredibly strong opponent to become the champion again. HARASHIMA understood and let Hirata off the hook.

Then later in the show Yuki Iino won the red Right To Challenge Arm Cover from Soma Takao. Given his successful history using this prize in the past, Iino wanted to cash it in for a KO-D Title shot straight away. Hirata tried to bribe him with candy to change his mind but it didn’t convince him. However Iino then received a message on his phone telling him that his private gym received a reservation on short notice from a “Mr. Hirata”. Iino no longer had enough time to wrestle another match so he raced off to the gym, leaving Hirata to survive the day as still the champion.

The full card for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” was announced earlier today although there might be an addition or two still to come. We have Ryo Mizunami returning to Tokyo Joshi Pro after not appearing here all summer. She is teaming up with Yuki Aino again to bring Yukiniki back together. And just like how Mizunami sees potential in Aino, Miyu Yamashita is starting to take Kaya Toribami under her wing as a tag partner too. So let’s set the two teams against each other.

TJPW welcomes Hiroyo Matsumoto into the fold for the first time. They also explained why she is teaming up with Yuki Arai. Eight years ago there was a TV show called Tofu Pro Wrestling that included a few live wrestling events featuring a lot of AKB48 connected talent. Arai took part under the name Bubbly Arai and Matsumoto was one of her trainers behind the scenes. Now eight years later they finally get together in the ring for a real pro wrestling match this time. Haru Kazashiro & Toga have been chosen to be their opponents.

There was only one previous time when Rika Tatsumi and Priscilla Kelly were in the same match together and that was back in 2018. Are the two prepared to discover how different they have both become since that match? Tatsumi vaguely remembers being licked last time. If Kelly tries that again she’s probably going to get strangled!

Over the last two months the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title has been hanging around TJPW like a roommate who doesn’t pay rent and has nothing better to do. Pokotan the DDT mascot is currently the champion but it will be at this show ready to defend the title in a Battle Royal. There are seven other participants in the match but TJPW may add more in the lead up to the show. Also if Pokotan loses the title to someone not in the match before then, then the match will still take place with nothing on the line.

Oh no the two brats are back together! Mei Suruga is happy to be Uta Takami’s big sister again but they still need to come up with a tag team name. Neither Super Cute Sisters or Apple Ice Cream made the cut last year. Ren Konatsu already got to team with her idol Suzume but let’s see if they get along while having to deal with the other two troublemakers.
