6. King Of DDT 2020 – Final: Tetsuya Endo defeated T-Hawk with the Shooting Star Press (20:24).
Today confirms without a shadow of a doubt that Tetsuya Endo is the number one wrestler in DDT. The reigning KO-D Openweight Champion survived an early setback in the tournament to end up winning King Of DDT 2020! This is the second time in four years that Endo won King Of DDT. He had to beat his #DAMNHEARTS stablemate T-Hawk in the final. When the final began, Endo grabbed Hawk’d leg and attempted the Golitah Birdeater hold that Akito uses but Hawk dodged it. Hawk also used a rope break to stop the Modified Yurikamome Hold Endo used to beat Kazusada Higuchi earlier. Hawk’s strength came into play but whenever he tried the BT Bomb, Endo had it countered. Endo kicked out of the Night Ride and pulled out his new Wrist-Clutch Driver move (which DDT’s website is calling a Modified One-Winged Angel). After that Endo got the pin with the Shooting Star Press.
As the champion, Endo now gets to choose his challenger for “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020” this November. Hisaya Imabayashi entered the ring to get his answer. Endo said it is somebody he has mentioned over and over… Tomomi Morisaki. No, Imabayashi told him to pick someone else. So Takei? No. Kanna Hashimoto? No. Tomoya Nagase? No. Okay, okay, okay, Endo picks Kenny Omega! He is the only one he wants to fight. Imabayashi accepted the choice but warned Endo that the match is unlikely to happen because of the current global travel restrictions caused by the Coronavirus. Imabayashi will try to negotiate but if that plan falls through then Endo will have to pick another opponent. Endo admits it is an irresponsible choice and accepts that it might not happen but he wants to follow through on the promise he made last month to wrestle Omega at Ota Ward Gymnasium. With that settled, Endo also decided to split his tournament winnings evenly among the other DAMNATION members. Daisuke Sasaki is busy trying to claim 90% of it for himself.
The “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020” isn’t set in stone but the undercard has some confirmed matches. One of the big ones is Konosuke Takeshita and Jun Akiyama facing off in a singles match! Takeshita’s team defeated Junretsu in an 8-Man Tag bout. Akiyama had his hands full with both Takeshita and Shinya Aoki across the ring from him. Makoto Oishi tried to take the load off him but Takeshita escaped from the Fujiyama Knee Lock to pin Oishi with the German Suplex. Takeshita told Akiyama they are even in tag matches so he challenged him to the singles match. Akiyama said he will stand in front of Takeshita in his best condition.
HARASHIMA led his team to victory against #DAMNHEARTS in the King Of DDT 10-Man Tag. Afterwards, Imabayashi told HARASHIMA and Soma Takao not to leave the ring because he had news for both of them. The HarashiMarufuji Vs CimaSoma match that was supposed to happen back in June will now take place at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020”! Takao said backstage he is happy to team with CIMA in his hometown.
A couple of weeks ago DDT had a match where all of the wrestlers wore pantyhose over their heads. Danshoku Dieno found out the joke makes Yukio Sakaguchi laugh so much it makes him weak. So that was the battle plan for Dieno and Seigo Tachibana today, wrestle Sakaguchi & Saki Akai while wearing pantyhose over their faces. It worked! Sakaguchi kept laughing at the silly faces seen beneath the pantyhose. Dieno’s was pulled off but he put it over Yukinori Matsui’s head, gave Sakaguchi the Lip Lock and pinned him with the Gaydo Clutch! Tachiabana was left impressed by Dieno’s wrestling knowledge. With a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match against Eruption coming up, how can they lose? Akai is annoyed at Sakaguchi for laughing at basic comedy. She’s from Kansai and grew up watching a lot of comedy so she learned how to no sell it.
T-Hawk had to go past Akito in the semi-final. The CyberFight Vice President kept to what worked for him so far. He targeted Hawk’s legs, weakening the Cerberus knee strike in the process. What saved Hawk was his ability to avoid the Goliath Birdeater. He used a Reverse Power Slam to put Akito on the ropes and won with the Night Ride. Akito said this year was the strongest feeling he had to win but T-Hawk is stronger than him. Still, he learned a lot and thinks it was his best showing in the King Of DDT.
Higuchi’s sumo charge momentum met its end against Endo in the other semi-final. He went for big hit after big hit but when he went for the Buchikamashi, Endo countered it into the Yurikamome Hold. Endo maneuvered himself on top of Higuchi in the hold for added pressure, causing Higuchi to pass out. Endo was ruled the winner by referee stoppage.
The audience was introduced to Mecha Pandita for the first time. The robot entered the ring and attacked Shunma Katsumata while he promoted the “STREET FIGHT CLUB” happening this Tuesday. Pandita landed a Dropkick, a Standing Shooting Star and then poured coffee beans into Katsumata’s mouth.
The 5 Way dark match turned into a dance rave when Yukio Naya took out penlights to dance differently against Kazuki Hirata’s glasses. Soon everyone in the match danced with penlights until Hirata pinned Antonio Honda with the Miracle One Shot Cradle. Naya finished his dance anyway.
It’s worth noting that Shota was the referee for some of the matches today. Daisuke Kiso is still absent from shows.

Vice President Akito praised everyone in the main event and thanked them all for being here. He complimented Nautilus for main eventing wrestling shows two days in a row, he thanked Jun Masaoka for coming in on short notice and he mentioned it was Makoto Oishi’s idea to bring him in. Today’s show makes Akito excited for the future of BOYZ.
Sadly there was no dance ending planned for the show. They couldn’t find the time to practice their dance routines because of the Coronavirus. Kazuki Hirata took the blame and apologized alongside Akito. Chris Brookes entered the ring trying to tell them not to apologize but was still adamant that he wasn’t going to dance. Akito and Hirata began to cry so Brookes whispered something into Hirata’s ear. Hirata excitedly brought in entrance robes and Tokyo GO! glasses. Brookes reluctantly put them on and began dancing with Hirata! Akito thanked him for saving the show.
The team of Kazusada Higuchi, Keigo Nakamura & Hideki Okatani all wrestled dressed as high school students armed with textbooks. Their behaviour was the opposite of HARASHIMA, Konosuke Takeshita & Yuko Miyamoto acting like yankees. The act was thrown away when Higuchi’s team all gave the yankees Low Blows. The yankees recovered and Miyamoto pinned Nakamura with the Moonsault.
Danshoku Dieno took his referee job today seriously and was too strict to a fault. He quickly counted to five on Akito after Shunma Katsumata reached a rope break. Akito convinced him not to end the match. Dieno then quickly counted out Katsumata for standing on the top turnbuckle. This time the match did end. Akito and Katsumata agreed to an immediate rematch and were very careful not to do anything Dieno would consider a foul. Dieno got accidentally knocked out after bumping into Akito so Yukinori Matsui replaced him. When Dieno woke up he attacked Matsui to take his spot back. While those two fought each other, Akito and Katsumata continued wrestling and knocked each other out. Dieno kicked Matsui in the crotch but Matsui fell head first into Dieno’s groin. All four people in the ring were knocked out so MAO ran in wearing a referee shirt and called off the match.
MAO also showed up in the Dress Code 3 Way Match as the referee. Antonio Honda, Mizuki Watase and Yumehito Imanari all wrestled in tuxedos and the goal was to strip down your opponents. All three of them stripped each other down to their underwear. By the end they were all beaten and tired so MAO began counting them out. They all grabbed MAO at 9 to try and pull themselves up but instead MAO’s pants were pulled down revealing he was wearing a loincloth underneath. MAO reached 10 and ended the match as a Triple Knockout draw.
The theme of this month’s opening ceremony was “Apron”. Every wrestler walked out looking like they were ready to cook. Some made it look sexy, others looked like they were ready to work a shift at Ebisuko Tavern.

The King Of DDT Quarter Finals are done and there are four wrestlers left. Kazusada Higuchi took a page out of his sumo rulebook to defeat Konosuke Takeshita. After an intense exchange of strikes, Higuchi ran into Takeshita and tackled him down with a Buchikamashi charge to pin him.
Minoru Tanaka’s late request for a KO-D Openweight Title shot was denied and his match with Tetsuya Endo was non-title as scheduled. Endo was able to rope break his way out of Tanaka’s submission holds. He got a nearfall with the Canadian Destroyer and had his arm raised after the Shooting Star Press. When Tanaka left the ring, Endo signaled for him to have a rematch some day. Tanaka admitted he learned the distance between himself and the KO-D Champion today. He was close but Endo is still strong. He accepts defeat today but won’t forget about the KO-D Title because Tanaka loves to win championships he never held before.
Up until today, Akito was using the Goliath Birdeater submission hold in its original form. Against Shinya Aoki, he modified the move into a clutch pin to hold Aoki down and prevent him from breaking free. It worked as intended and Akito got the pin. He calls this version of the move the Goliath Birdwatching. Akito had previously told Aoki that there are more ways to win pro wrestling matches than using joint holds. Today he proved it.
Last but certainly not least, T-Hawk completes the final four. The combination of Cerberus, BT Bomb and the Nightride ended Yuki Ueno’s tournament run. Not a good sign for the KO-D Tag Team Champions when one of them loses to a previous challenger.
The Semi Final draw took place after the main event. Endo and Higuchi drew each other which means Akito and T-Hawk takes the other match-up. T-Hawk promises to win King Of DDT as a representative of #STRONGHEARTS. Akito swore to avenge his loss to T-Hawk at Sumo Hall last February. He doesn’t care about Endo so he wants to face Higuchi in the final. What he said made Endo even more determined to chase after him, that and the Round 1 loss. Higuchi said he will go through who is left one by one, starting with Endo.
The DISASTER BOX Vs DAMNATION match was held under Lucha Libre rules when Mad Paulie of all people asked for it. Kazuki Hirata snuck into the match for a few spots during the chaos.
El Lindaman used cold spray to freeze Antonio Honda’s Gongitsune hand. He then summoned his own Gongitsune but Honda froze his hand with the cold spray. Honda poked Lindaman in the eye, a blinded Lindaman poked Nobuhiro Shimatani in the eye and Chris Brookes pinned Shimatani with the Praying Mantis Bomb.
Yukio Sakaguchi was tricked into doing the hop spot during the 4 Way Tag. Saki Akai was embarrassed over it.

The KO-D Openweight Champion is out in the 1st Round! Akito scored what is no doubt the biggest upset of the 2020 King Of DDT by beating Tetsuya Endo. Akito targeted Endo’s arm but switched to the legs in reaction to his opponent going for his own. The arm work paid off when Akito grabbed Endo’s wrist to free himself from the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb. He shifted over to an Anklelock and when Endo tried to escape, Akito turned it into the Goliath Birdeater. With no chance of escaping the hold, Endo gave up. Akito said he can’t be as acrobatic as Endo but with his own pro wrestling style, the new CyberFight Vice President can make it to the top of DDT for a long time!
Naomi Yoshimura surprised everyone by showing off his freshly shaved head. It was the latest dramatic turn in his lifelong rivalry with Konosuke Takeshita. Sadly for him the rivalry continues to be one sided. Takeshita beat him again, this time with the German Suplex.
The visiting Minoru Tanaka is entering the tournament in his best condition. He took everything Soma Takao threw at him from the Running Elbow Butt to the Official Endless Waltz. Takao couldn’t do the same, he tapped to the Minoru Special.
Kazuki Hirata wanted T-Hawk to shake his hand before their match because Hirata claims to be Hawk’s former senpai. Apparently there was a brief window of a few months where both of them trained in Kobe at the same time. It’s safe to say T-Hawk has surpassed Hirata.
There were a few Round 1 upsets today. The DDT UNIVERSAL Champion lost his match too! Chris Brookes gave up to Makoto Oishi when the Praying Mantis Bomb was countered into a Complete Shot. Oishi then applied the Fujiyama Knee Lock for the submission victory.
36 seconds is the time to beat for the quickest match of the tournament. Yuki Iino quickly Speared Shinya Aoki and hit an Elbow Drop. Aoki scrambled out of the pin and caught Iino in an Armpit Lock for the quick submission.
HARASHIMA thinks he was a little off today despite beating Mad Paulie. He managed to keep his pace but still felt he rushed his attacks against Paulie.
Another upset was Shunma Katsumata over Yukio Sakaguchi. Katsumata went for roll ups and cradles throughout the match. He got his three count eventually, rolling up Sakaguchi from the Sleeper Hold position.
DAMNATION is already having a bad tournament. Only Daisuke Sasaki won his 1st Round match with a victory over Tomomitsu Matsunaga. If you count DAMNHEARTS things are looking better though.
An even pace from both Yuki Ueno and Nobuhiro Shimatani kept them on their toes. Ueno kicked out of the Fisherman Buster and used a Dropkick to turn the match in his favour. A Blizzard Suplex and the Best Moonsault Ever got Ueno the win.
A Headbutt and a Lariat gave Kazusada Higuchi the win over Mizuki Watase. That’s all you need to know. That’s not meant to disparage Watase, it was that big of a Headbutt and a Lariat from Higuchi.
Antonio Honda already tripped into the ring before the match began to set up his Gongitsune spot. He and Danshoku Dieno wasted no time in finding a winner. They immediately went for the big moves and Dieno won with two Moonsaults.
The bad attitude of Seigo Tachibana didn’t intimidate Toru Owashi at all. He fought him face to face, eye to eye and crouch to crouch. Tachibana was tough enough to kick out after most of Owashi’s big attacks but he was down for good when he was given the Choke Slam.
The complaints of Yukio Naya not fighting like a big man was proven when the big boy was lifted off his feet by El Lindaman. Some cheating from Lindaman went a long way too. He blinded Naya with cold spray, used tape to wrap his limbs together and rolled him into a pin for the three count.

6. Customer Lottery 6-Man Tag Match That Looks Like A Beer Garden Specialty: Chris Brookes, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Tetsuya Endo, Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno when Yoshimura pinned Ueno with the Throwaway Power Bomb (18:38).
The lottery draw for the main event pitted friends against each other and had enemies teaming together. Nautilus found themselves on opposite sides but agreed that they would do their best when it was time for them to fight. Tetsuya Endo surprised Konosuke Takeshita and everyone else by coming out wearing his old Happy Motels gear! He was on his best behavior and shook everyone’s hands to prove it. But in the end it was all a big ruse. He Headbutted Takeshita then gave Yuki Ueno the Testuya In The Sky. Endo took off his Happy Motels clothes to show he was wearing his regular gear underneath then walked out on the match. Chris Brookes, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazusada Higuchi took advantage of the situation to win the match. Ueno still had some fight left in him but Yoshimura put him away with the Power Bomb. Afterwards Yoshimura tried to cool things down and thanked Ueno for wrestling him after a long time. He hopes next year everyone will actually be able to drink beer at the Beer Garden shows. But first he will beat Takeshita at the King Of DDT tournament!
Jun Akiyama got to wrestle with HARASHIMA for the first time ever. Hideki Okatani is making progress hitting the Northern Lights Suplex on a consistant basis but he can’t say the same when he attempts the Double Arm Suplex. HARASHIMA countered that and pinned him with the Somato. Keigo Nakamura refused to shake hands with Akiyama after the match. Makoto Oishi had to apologize to Akiyama for the rookie’s rudeness.
Antonio Honda was too lovesick to wrestle in the Rock And Roll 4 Way Death Match. A.YAZAWA took his place. It was already announced yesterday that “brother” KAZUKI was substituting for the recently banished Kazuki Hirata. Everyone had to dance whenever rock music played. Shunma Katsumata complained because it was not the kind of death match he was expecting. The music player broke halfway through the match which meant any genre of music would be randomly chosen from now on. “Never Give Up☆I LOVE YOU” by NωA played so Katsumata and KAZUKI sang karaoke for it. YAZAWA and Saki Akai did the same when “Otoko To Onna No Love Game” played. A song used for drinking games then came on causing all four to get drunk. KAZUKI was about to beat YAZAWA when “TOKYO GO!” of all things played. KAZUKI couldn’t resist and danced until YAZAWA pinned him with an Upright Kick.
After the match YAZAWA told KAZUKI he knows he is really Kazuki Hirata in disguise. He could tell from the way he danced. KAZUKI tried to deny it but eventually admitted it to no reaction. He admitted it again so the crowd would react this time. He can’t leave the country because of the Coronavirus so he bought a bandana and made hair extensions out of vinyl tape to create this disguise. “brother” KAZUKI will be retired today and he will go back to normal.
Akito warned DAMNATION that Danshoku Dieno was feeling frustrated today. The Coronavirus prevents him from running through the crowd kissing fans during his entrance so it left him with pent up energy. Soma Takao in particular was told to beware of him. Dieno immediately entered the ring from another part of the room so he could get his hands on Takao. He later went for the Lip Lock but got Akito by mistake instead. Mad Paulie then gave Dieno the Lip Lock. He stretched out his tights wanting to give Dieno the Danshoku Driver but Takao instead rolled Dieno over in a School Boy for the three count.
The Crocodile Triple Hell Death Match involves a toy crocodile with button teeth that you push. If the toy bites you then you have to drink a cup of tequila. The other participants get to drink beer. Every round lasted 30 seconds as an excuse to play the game and drink more alcohol. Daisuke Sasaki, Yukio Sakaguchi and Yuki Iino all got drunk then got Yukinori Matsui to play so he could get drunk too. Iino stripped down to his underwear. Sasaki and Sakaguchi used scissors to cut the strings off his underwear and pulled them off so he was completely naked (except for his wrestling shoes). Iino used the crocodile toy to cover his shame as the match got called off.
Yukio Naya is getting criticism for not being dominant like a man with his size snd power should be. Mizuki Watase took the wind out of his sails by countering the Choke Slam into a Hurricanrana to steal the win from him.
The annual summer clash between the DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro authority figures was as desperate looking as always. Hisaya Imabayashi told everyone to look out for his new Rainmaker Backfist move. However, Tetsuya Koda said he is sick of this feud being used as a joke for the wrestlers to laugh at backstage. He would instead lay down for Imabayashi and let him pin him. It was a trap and Koda caught him in a deadly Sleeper Hold. Imabayashi reached the rope but Koda would attack him with foreign objects and put him in another Sleeper Hold. Imabayashi was about to lose consciousness when voices of his children spoke to him. They told him they’ve been studying at home because they can’t go to school. They are also upset they can’t go to the shows this year but they still want their daddy to do his best! Suddenly Imabayashi woke up and fought back. He hit Koda with the Backfist and then the Kamigoye! Koda kicked out and put Imabayashi in one more Sleeper Hold. Imabayashi tried to fight it but could no longer go on. He shouted out the names of his kids and said he loved them before going out cold.

6. Junretsu Vs ALL OUT All Out Battle!: Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi, Mizuki Watase & Hideki Okatani defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Iino when Akiyama pinned Takeshita with the Wrist Clutch Exploder (17:21).
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) defeated Yuki Ueno with the Shooting Star Press (21:45). *V2 for Tetsuya Endo.
During the week, Tetsuya Endo attempted to use a new dangerous looking move on Yuki Ueno but wasn’t able to pull it off. Today in the Korakuen Hall main event, he was able to do the move. Before that happened, Ueno was ready to hit the WR but Endo grabbed Yukinori Matsui to block it and then he Headbutted his way out of it. Endo threw Ueno over with the Tetsuya In The Sky but Ueno quickly rolled him into a pin for a nearfall. Endo did the move again, going for the pin afterwards but Ueno kicked out at 1. It is here where Endo used his new move, a Wrist Clutch Muscular Bomb. Somehow Ueno kicked out of that too but he was down for good when Endo did the Shooting Star Press.
After the match Endo told Ueno it will be a long time before he wins the KO-D Openweight Title. If he can’t accept that fact then he can try again as many times as he wants. No matter what Ueno does, he is far away from where Endo is at. When Ueno left, Endo asks Hisaya Imabayashi who his next challenger will be. Imabayashi told him it will be the winner of the KING OF DDT tournament and that match will take place at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020” on 3rd November. Here’s the fun part. If Endo wins the tournament he gets to nominate whoever he wants to be his challenger. He named his top 3 choices, all celebrities but there is one other person he’s thinking of. Kenny Omega!
After weeks of skirmishes the full force clash between ALL OUT and Junretsu went ahead. The match began with Konosuke Takeshita and Jun Akiyama in the ring. It also ended with those two in the ring. Hideki Okatani was in danger early but used a Neckbreaker Drop on Yuki Iino to get out of trouble. Mizuki Watase used a Double Stomp to counter Iino’s Spear. Things for him got more difficult when Akito tagged in and targeted his legs. Makoto Oishi used his wits to make Shunma Katsumata DDT Akito by mistake. Takeshita and Akiyama both tagged in to set up the final minutes of the bout. Takeshita had his opponent in position for a German Suplex when Oishi cut him off with a Swinging Complete Shot. Akiyama got up first and hit Takeshita with Running Knee Butts. He gave a couple of Exploder Suplexes but Takeshita wouldn’t stay down. Akiyama had to use the Wrist Clutch Exploder to put away his new rival.
If you can’t beat them, make them laugh. That’s the usual plan with Antonio Honda yet today it was particularly effective against Yukio Sakaguchi. He couldn’t help himself when Honda brought out the old Gongitsune bit even when the rest of Eruption interrupted it. Riho and Saki Akai had an even fight. Riho stayed on to test herself against Kazusada Higuchi but she needed HARASHIMA’s help to escape from a Canadian Backbreaker. It took the combined effort of the three challengers to take down Higuchi. Honda did the Gongitsune joke in full this time and Sakaguchi burst into laughter. He then made his own Gongitsune hand signs to combat Honda. Riho used Honda as a launching pad to hit Higuchi with the Somato. Akai hit Riho with the Rookie Award kick. Honda got rid of Akai with the Shining Gongitsune. Sakaguchi then trapped Honda in the Triangle Choke to make him submit.
When Eruption won their match, Danshoku Dieno & Seigo Tachibana entered the ring. Both of them want to challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. They even have a third friend who agreed to team with them. A video played on the screen showing Yoshiko! The video was Yoshiko explaining what she will do in the ring as if she was baking a cake. First she will squint at her opponents. Then she will throw in 75kg of Elbow Drops. After that she mixes her opponents into one big mess that she will throw onto the canvas. Add in a Diving Senton to finish it off and voila! New KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions fresh out of the oven. Akai is eager to fight Yoshiko again so she accepted the challenge. Sakaguchi looked at Tachibana and wanted to know who the bald guy was standing next to Dieno. Tachibana got mad that Sakaguchi didn’t recognise him after they just wrestled each other two weeks ago. He got even more mad when Higuchi pretended he was going to slice off his little finger. The title match was agreed to take place on 7th September.
Nobuhiro Shimatani proudly showed off a brand new black DAMNATION signboard. Chris Brookes broke it over Daisuke Sasaki’s head. Easy come, easy go. Drew Parker ended up pinning Shimatani with the Swanton Bomb. Parker said in Japanese that the next time he comes to DDT he wants to fight for a championship. He doesn’t want the KO-D Tag Team Titles though. He wants to wrestle Brookes for the DDT UNIVERSAL Title! Brookes also spoke in Japanese, asking if Parker was serious. Hisaya Imabayashi came in to confirm the match but Brookes told him in English that he doesn’t understand Japanese. The title match will happen on the 7th September Korakuen show.
The DDT Extreme Title match was a normal pro wrestling match where wrestlers were allowed to remove their clothes. Maku Donaruto wrestled in grappling gear and wanted to mat wrestle with Shinya Aoki. Things got explicit as tights got pulled down and the wrestlers got into compromising positions. Aoki got his backside exposed while Donaruto was stripped down to his thong. Aoki ended up doing something Donaruto would do and it led him to getting the pin with a European Clutch. Donaruto may have lost but Aoki won a place in his heart after today.
Tachibana is now bald after he lost a Hair Vs Hair match in All Japan during the week. Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine knew something looked different about him but couldn’t figure it out. Tachibana was introduced in the ring as a thug, but a harmless one. Kazuki Hirata stood up to him because he’s not as scary as Sakaguchi is. Tachibana put on the Hirata GO! glasses and “Tsuppari High School Rock’n Roll” played instead of “TOKYO GO!” He pinned Hirata with the Ikemen Drop, securing Tachibana’s first win in DDT. Backstage after the match, Naomi Yoshimura said he wants a match with Takuho Kato from Big Japan. Doesn’t matter if it is a singles or for the KO-D Tag Titles.
There wasn’t much chemistry between Yukio Naya & Keigo Nakamura as a tag team. Their big idea for a team move was Naya Choke Slamming Nakamura onto Soma Takao. Takao rolled out of the way and Nakamura was slammed onto the canvas. Mad Paulie got rid of Naya and Takao easily finished off Nakamura.
The 5 Way DISASTER BOX match on the 31st July Beer Garden-Like show will have special rules. The match will continue after every fall with the winners being removed until there is one man left. Hirata protested the rules knowing he will likely be the loser. He asked for Over The Top Rope rules to be included. Toru Owashi agreed but only if the loser of the match takes a punishment afterwards. HARASHIMA thinks that is a great idea and made it official despite Hirata’s complaints.
Some of the spinoffs will return after a lengthy absence. BOYZ will be back on 16th August. The Muscle revival holds its third show “HIRAGANA MUSCLE 3 ~SPECIAL MOVES OUTBREAK~” on 9th November. There will be an open rehearsal show first on 21st September.

7. DAMNATION Vs DISASTER BOX!: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao defeated HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Kazuki Hirata when Soma pinned Hirata with the Gin And Tonic (17:50).
DAMNATION’s victory of DISASTER BOX today was followed by a message from Tetsuya Endo to Yuki Ueno. There is still a difference between them and Endo will show Ueno how much at Korakuen Hall. Ueno doesn’t know what the difference is but what he does know is Endo was knocked out on the floor during the finish of today’s match! Ueno gave him the WR which is what took Endo out of the match in the first place. According to Ueno, the strongest wrestler today wasn’t Endo, it was Soma Takao! Ueno respects Endo but today the gap between them has shrunk. This discovery made Endo dizzy and he fell out of the ring in a panic.
The match between Konosuke Takeshita and Yukio Naya had the shadow of Jun Akiyama looming over it. Naya was part of Akiyama-gun’s training session during the week. He got to show a little of what he learned but Takeshita came out on top with the Caballo 2020 submission hold. Both Takeshita and Naya described this match as preparation for the KING OF DDT.
Seigo Tachibana needed to learn a lesson. Yukio Sakaguchi was here to teach it. Sakaguchi purposely entered the ring wearing a suit to remind Tachibana who he is. Danshoku Dieno was in Tachibana’s corner for the match but wanted it to be called off to spare his student from getting a beating. Tachibana bravely opposed Sakaguchi and repeatedly stomped on his hand to get an advantage. Sakaguchi got revenge by stomping on Tachibana’s right little finger. He applied the Sleeper Hold but let go when Tachibana found the strength to stand back up. Sakaguchi quickly put him down again with the God’s Right Knee to win. After the match Sakaguchi said he doesn’t know where Tachibana came from but he likes his guts. Next time they see each other Tachibana should say hello or else Sakaguchi will kill him. When he left, Dieno asked what should Tachibana do next? There is the next Korakuen show coming up and also the Beer Garden series. What does Tachibana want to do? Tachibana said he wants to wrestle for DDT!”
In the 3 Way Match, Akito knocked out Mad Paulie with a Gutwrench Suplex. He then trapped Chris Brookes in a Grapevine Ankle Lock but Brookes crawled on top of Paulie and pinned him while fainting from the pain.
Before the 3 Way Tag match began, Dieno told everyone in the match that he was a demon today. He was so determined to defend the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title it was making him a completely different person. How was he different? He wasn’t wearing underwear beneath his wrestling gear. Everyone understood the risk Dieno was putting them in and did everything they could to prevent him from pulling his tights down during the match. But in a twist, Makoto Oishi showed Dieno that he wasn’t wearing underwear either! This distraction caused Dieno to get pinned by Oishi and the title changed hands.
Looks like the Iron Man Title is heading to America! When Oishi was celebrating with the title when suddenly Yoshihiko appeared for the first time since “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020”! It beat Oishi with a Sleeper Hold to become the new champion! Yoshihiko brought out a sign for its backstage interview that said “Now I will go to America as DDT Iron Man Champ! Joey Janela: You may be a Bad Boy… But Yoshihiko is a Bad, Bad Man.” Yoshihiko would not answer any questions like how can it travel to America when there is no way to obtain a visa to enter the country right now?
Kazusada Higuchi held Keigo Nakamura in the Oklahoma Stampede mid-move when Antonio Honda paused the match to tell a Gongitsune story. Saki Akai then redirected Honda’s strike into Nakamura’s eyes so Higuchi could finish his move.
Naomi Yoshimura had a brief moment of dread when Hideki Okatani surprised him with a Small Package. It was only a minor setback and Yoshimura went on to win easily.

It’s the match Coronavirus did not want to happen! Chris Brookes Vs Maku Donaruto has been booked twice already but both times were cancelled when COVID-19 prevented the shows from happening. Third time’s the charm.
It is confirmed that Jun Akiyama will belong to DDT from 1st July until the end of this year. Now he can fully focus on the feud between his own Akiyama-gun against ALL OUT.
DDT is providing an offer match for Nakama AID, a collaboration within Japan’s entertainment industry to hold live performances again.

Yuki Ueno gets a second crack at winning the KO-D Openweight Title from Tetsuya Endo. His first try was a failed Right To Challenge cash in on DDT TV SHOW two weeks ago. Since then Ueno pinned Endo in a KO-D Tag Team Titles defence to shoot him right back into championship contention.
Eruption said they would accept any challengers for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. That includes if the challenge comes from somebody they beat on a regular basis. However Antonio Honda has some strong allies this time. Riho returns to DDT for the first time since “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019” and HARASHIMA tags along for a new task to overcome.
This year’s edition of the King Of DDT is going to be a bit of a sprint. 28 wrestlers will enter the single elimination tournament and the first three rounds will take place in three back-to-back days at Kanda Myojin Hall. The final rounds take place in Korakuen Hall. This time the reigning KO-D Openweight Champion (currently Tetsuya Endo, could switch to Yuki Ueno) will be entering the tournament! The prize is 1,000,000 yen from the sponsor BLACK OUT energy drink.
