6. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) defeated Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga when Abe submitted Oosugi with a Modified Figure 4 Leg Lock (17:14).
*V3 for Astronauts.

It’s been almost a year and a half since the last time a BASARA show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING was held under the “KOO” branding. That meant it was not an all you can drink kind of show that you would get with the “UTAGE” events. Astronauts were confident the fans would still have fun watching them fight Speed Of Sounds for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. After winning the match, Fuminori Abe suggested the next opponents could include somebody like Daichi Kazato or Yasu Urano because Takuya Nomura has never gotten a chance to fight either of them.

Match #3 featured so many tags and partners running in that the teams ended up getting mixed up and everyone lost track of who they were meant to fight. It ended up with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Yasu Urano knocking each other out, making KUBITO & SAGAT the winners.

Daichi Kazato and Gouma Ryu wrestled each other both knowing they are evenly matched. So they believed they could fight forever to make each other stronger. Ryu soon got the upper hand and got over confident. He lifted up Kazato into the Argentine Backbreaker but that caused his back to go out so he had to give up while still doing the move.

All of Sento Minzoku were reunited with the return of Daiki Shimomura from his year long suspension from BASARA and absence from pro wrestling in general. He lost the match but told the fans starting today he will do his best for BASARA again.

BASARA “BASARA 258 ~SOUEN~” Results

October 11, 2024

BASARA “BASARA 258 ~SOUEN~”, 11/10/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Takato Nakano defeated Takeru Inoue with a Step-up Enzuigiri (8:15).
2. 2 Vs 4 Handicap Match: FUMA & Gouma Ryu defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Yasu Urano, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & KUBITO when Ryu pinned Hiroshi with a Diving Body Press (12:47).
3. Masato Kamino & Yusuke Kodama defeated Isami Kodaka & Ryota Nakatsu when Kamino pinned Kodaka with the Lariat (9:07).
4. Billy Ken Kid defeated Daichi Kazato with a Cradle (12:37).
5. Union MAX Title: Minoru Fujita (c) defeated Masahiro Takanashi with the Modified Samson Clutch (22:21).
*V7 for Minoru Fujita.

It was around four years and eight months ago when Masahiro Takanashi defended the Union MAX Title against Minoru Fujita. It would be the last successful defence of his reign and he would lose the belt a month later by getting injured during his next title match. He never felt like he was beaten for the belt. Fujita meanwhile has been carrying the defeat to Takanashi ever since it happened and wanted the chance to exorcise it. So today’s match was an important title match for both wrestlers. Takanashi can regain the MAX Title and continue from where he was cut off or Fujita beats him properly and avenges his defeat from 2020. Either way Takanashi came to BASARA to finally get some closure.

The match was a bitter fight and Fujita even admitted out loud he waited four years for this. He did the Tombstone Piledriver but Takanashi kicked out of it. Fujita then countered the Takatonic and went for another Tombstone but it was turned into a Cradle for a nearfall. The two wrestlers kept countering Cradle moves on each other until Fujita pinned down Takanashi with the Modified Samson Clutch for the three count. Fujita said he worked really hard for this win which is why he is really happy about it. He and Takanashi now both have one win against each other. Takanashi said they could settle their score with a drinking contest in the ring. The two did just that with Takanashi finishing his drink before Fujita could. Fujita called Takanashi an irreplaceable friend who is always there for him. Also Fujita now has the record for most MAX Title defences in a single reign.

Daichi Kazato tried using a lot of unusual rolling moves to confuse Billy Ken Kid but in the end Kid was able to roll Kazato onto his shoulders and pin him down for the victory.

Even though Isami Kodaka lost to Masato Kamino he asked him for a UWA World Tag Team Titles shot after the match. Kodaka also said Hideyoshi Kamitani will be his partner because they haven’t teamed together in a while. Kamino accepted the challenge for 22nd October and said Aijin Tag won’t lose to a hastily made team.

At the start of the show FUMA and Gouma Ryu started talking about their careers outside of wrestling (hunter and lawyer respectively) and started getting along even though they were supposed to be opponents later. KUBITO then called Ryu a part-time wrestler which Ryu found insulting. FUMA & Ryu both wouldn’t stand for it so they decided to change their 6-Man Tag Match into a Handicap match. The two of them were now teaming up against the other four wrestlers! During the match Ryu kept getting ganged up on by his opponents and FUMA got tired of saving him. FUMA walked out of the match leaving Ryu to fight by himself. Through sheer luck Ryu fought off his opponents and climbed the top rope to hit a big finish on Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi. FUMA then reappeared at the entrance armed with his hunting rifle and he shot Ryu. Ryu ended up falling on top of Hiroshi anyway and scored the pinfall.

BASARA “BASARA 256 ~SOUEN~”, 27/08/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Takato Nakano & Banana Senga defeated KUBITO & Lil’ Kraken when Senga pinned Kaken with a Jumping Spinning Cradle (11:10).
2. SAGAT, Takeru Inoue & Judo Master defeated Gouma Ryu, Minoru Fujita & Yasu Urano when Master pinned Ryu with the Osotogari (12:25).
3. Isami Kodaka defeated Tsutomu Oosugi wwith a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (11:32).
4. Ayato Yoshida defeated Daichi Kazato with an Oklahoma Roll (14:39).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu when Abe submitted Sekine with the O-Manjigatame (14:24).
*V2 for Astronauts.

Astronauts are among the wrestlers who are happy to see BASARA increasing its schedule because it means they get to have even more fun matches like the one they had today against Cavalry. They retained the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles and told Cavalry to get stronger so they can fight each other again and again. The finish to the match went awry because Fuminori Abe put Ryuichi Sekine in the Manjigatame and the bell rang prematurely. The match continued and Sekine gave up anyway. Both Abe & Takuya Nomura are confident they can defend the tag titles forever until they die. They also describe the matches they want to do should be like good snacks for everyone to enjoy with their drinks. Ryota Nakatsu likes the sound of that because the show ended too late for him to catch his last train home so he’s going to spend the rest of the night drinking instead.

Two days ago Ayato Yoshida won the 2AW Openweight Title over in his home promotion. When his match against Daichi Kazato began Kazato congratulated him on the achievement. The match ended with Kazato missing the Firebird Splash and Yoshida used an Oklahoma Roll to pin him.

At the start of the show Gouma Ryu complained about having gout in his foot. All of the other wrestlers in the match he was booked for except for Takeru Inoue stepped on his foot to see if he was telling the truth but that only made his injury worse. Ryu was able to wrestle in the match despite that but lost after taking an Osotogari throw from Judo Master.

BASARA “BASARA 251 ~UTAGE~” Results

June 21, 2024

BASARA “BASARA 251 ~UTAGE~”, 21/06/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka when Nakano pinned Isaka with the Kenkatabami (8:53).
2. FUMA, KUBITO & Daichi Kazato defeated SAGAT, Gouma Ryu & Antonio Honda by Referee Stoppage when Kazato submitted Ryu with the Trigger Point (9:01).
3. Karate Master & Minoru Fujita defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Judo Master when Karate Master pinned Master with the Let’s Seikentsu Mid-level Thrust (8:05).
4. Yasu Urano defeated Isami Kodaka with the Modern Times (13:34).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi (c) when Abe submitted Nakatsu with the Arm Hold Manjigatame (15:33).
*Harimao fails in V5. Astronauts becomes the 12th Iron Fist Tag Team Champions!

That’s all she wrote for Harimao’s run as the Iron Fist Tag Team Champions. The titles now belong to Astronauts! It happened when Fuminori Abe trapped Ryota Nakatsu in the Manjigatame while Takuya Nomura cut off Kazusada Higuchi by putting him in a similar submission hold. Abe told Nomura after the match they will go on a fierce road of title defences that only they can do. Not only are they going to liven up BASARA but the rest of the wrestling world too! They are even thinking about defending the belts overseas.

In a manner similar to Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s recent disappearances, Ryuichi Sekine wasn’t anywhere to be found for his match today (apparently he took a nap somewhere backstage and overslept). Luckily a replacement was found in a newcomer called Karate Master. Just like Judo Master his martial arts talents are cancelled out by his lack of pro wrestling knowledge. However he did know how to pin his opponent and did so after hitting Master with a Karate style Diving Fist Drop. After the match Minoru Fujita and Takumi Tsukamoto continued to fight each other. Fujita blamed it on the karate gi he wore for the match. He claims it made him more fired up than usual so he will never wear it again.

Last month SAGAT and Gouma Ryu had a confrontation that included Ryu objecting to SAGAT making Superman references without permission to use the trademark. That must have all been solved this month because SAGAT wore his Superman inspired gear, Antonio Honda was straight up wearing a full Superman costume and Ryu revealed during the match he was also wearing a Superman costume beneath his suit. Unfortunately their superpowers werent’ strong enough and Daichi Kazato rendered Ryu unconscious by grabbing the trigger points in his shoulders.

BASARA “BASARA 249 ~UTAGE~”, 28/05/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Ryuichi Sekine, Fuminori Abe & Gaia Hox defeated FUMA, KUBITO & Yasu Urano when Hox pinned FUMA with the Butterfly Effect (13:11).
2. SAGAT defeated Gouma Ryu with the Superman Splash (8:41).
3. Lil’ Kraken, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Isami Kodaka, Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Kraken pinned Nakano with the High Angle Jumping Knee Butt (9:43).
4. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi (c) defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Judo Master when Nakatsu pinned Master with the V Slider (16:47).
*V4 for Harimao.
5. Union MAX Title: Minoru Fujita (c) defeated Daichi Kazato with a Body Press after Kazato missed the Firebird Splash (20:33).
*V4 for Minoru Fujita.

So close but yet so far. Daichi Kazato kicked out of the SAYONARA Tombstone twice and got Minoru Fujita in position for a big high flying move to finish him off. Kazato went for the Firebird Special but Fujita rolled out of the way and Kazato crashed onto the mat. The miss cost him everything because Fujita pinned him afterwards to remain as the Union MAX Champion. After the match Fujita told Kazato he knows nothing about him but was happy to share a little bit of his heart with him today. Kazato thanked the fans for supporting him and apologised to them for losing. When he left the ring, Fujita waited to see if anyone would come out to challenge him. Nobody did so he closed out the show by himself. Backstage Fujita told reporters that good matches happen all the time but they will be forgotten about after a month or even a week. What he sets out to do is have a match that will leave a deep mark in everyone’s hearts like a scar. That is what makes a great match to him.

Is there any team out there that can beat Harimao? That is the question now being asked by the Iron Fist Tag Team Champions after their latest successful title defence. Takumi Tsukamoto & Judo Master had a bumpy road leading into the title match but went into the match as a well oiled team. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough even with Master taking off his gi to take the match up a level against Ryota Nakatsu while Tsukamoto took out Kazasada Higuchi with a Plancha. Harimao won in the end and praised the challengers for giving them a good fight.

Today was Takato Nakano’s first match back from his minor shoulder injury. He lost his tag match though. Lil’ Kraken got the pin on him with the Juping Knee Butt. Nakano wanted to keep fighting Kraken after the match but Masato Kamino stepped in to stop him.

The lawyer Gouma Ryu kept accusing SAGAT of copyright infringement during their match. Everytime SAGAT did something that allegedly copied something else, Ryu would threaten him with a 10,000 yen fine or jail time if he couldn’t afford it. SAGAT wanted to do a Running Cannonball into the corner? Ryu would fine him because he is copying Shigehiro Irie. He wanted to do a Superman Splash? That was infringing American copyrights. It led to SAGAT constantly searching for money outside the ring so he could pay the fines. He then turned the tables after Ryu gave him the Running Neckbreaker and shouted his catchphrase because Ryu is just copying Ryuma Go! From that point on SAGAT ignored the warnings and beat Ryu with the Superman Splash.

DDT “WHAT ARE YOU DOING 2024 TOUR IN SHINJUKU”, 05/06/2024
Shinjuku FACE

1. Kazusada Higuchi & Yuya Koroku Vs Yukio Naya & Keigo Nakamura
2. Tetsuya Endo & Yuki Iino Vs Jun Akiyama & Tomomitsu Matsunaga
3. Special Tag Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata Vs Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata
4. Daisuke Kiso Referee 14th Anniversary Match ~ Special Tag Match: Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie Vs To-y & Yuni
5. CDK 5th Anniversary Match ~ Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi Vs Makoto Oishi & Shiori Asahi
6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul (c) Vs HARASHIMA, Akito & Yasu Urano
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Sanshiro Takagi

There is currently a dispute going on over who is going to be the referee for the KO-D Openweight Title match. Hisaya Imabayashi is leaning towards having Yukinori Matsui as the official, which is normally the case. However Sanshiro Takagi thinks Matsui is too strict and wants somebody who will give him more leeway to do what he wants. He agrees the match will still be held under normal rules though. Yuki Ueno is willing as the champion to fight Takagi under his conditions. However he would prefer the match to have a strict referee so he wants Matsui to be the first choice.

DDT “WHAT ARE YOU DOING 2024 TOUR IN KYOTO”, 08/06/2024

5. Special Single Match: Chris Brookes Vs Kazuki Hirata
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs D.O.A!: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y Vs Jun Akiyama, Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi

If losing in the King Of DDT semi-final wasn’t enough to annoy Chris Brookes, he now has to relive last year’s D-Oh Grand Prix when he was the only wrestler in his block to lose against Kazuki Hirata. There is probably no better time for Hirata to go for the upset win in a non-tournament rematch.

Keep an eye out for Yuya Koroku from this point onwards. He was the one to pin Poison Sawada JULIE over the weekend after being outnumbered for the finishing stretch of the match. I’m not saying he’s going to beat MAO next but we might be getting the start of something with him.

RakuPom have been chosen to be the final opponents for Nao Kakuta & SAKI’s tag team. Either Chika Nanase or Uta Takami will earn their first singles win at the other person’s expense. The rest of the card is the usual veteran versus new generation type of matches.

5. Special Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo & Imabari Taoru Mascaras Vs Chris Brookes & Kazuma Sumi
6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO & To-y Vs Yuki Iino, Kazusada Higuchi & Keigo Nakamura

Another person from Ehime Pro will be on the show but is not going to wrestled. Cutie Elly The Ehime will be in Sanshiro Takagi’s corner as his manager for Match #2 instead. She did the same at last year’s show in Matsuyama City.

DDT “DRAMATIC DREAM BATTLE”, 16/06/2024
TOKYO FM Hall

1. DDT Universal Title: MAO (c) Vs X

The Sumo Hall main event and KO-D Title shot is on the horizon but first MAO wants to defend his DDT Universal Title. His schedule prevents him from travelling overseas for the time being so he wants to defend the title against a wide range of wrestlers in Japan. He has begun searching for his first challenger and will choose one for a title match taking place at TOKYO FM Hall in a few weeks time.

Fuminori Abe will be on the show. That could be related to the title match or it might not.

DDT “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2024”, 21/07/2024
Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan

1. Special Single Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA Vs Masato Tanaka
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs MAO

MAO is now guaranteed to be part of the Sumo Hall main event. It will be either Yuki Ueno or Sanshiro Takagi who will be against him as the defending KO-D Champion. Takagi said he would defend the belt against MAO in a Weapon Rumble if he is the champ.

Next time Konosuke Takeshita is in DDT he will face Masato Tanaka in a rematch from March 2020. Tanaka successfully defended the KO-D Title against Takeshita back then in what was the last KO-D Title match held in front of an audience before the global pandemic shut everything down. Did anyone notice that this year’s Fire Festival tournament is the first one without Tanaka taking part in it? I know ZERO1 is a zombie promotion now but how can you have a Fire Festival without Tanaka in it?

Minoru Suzuki and El Desperado will be on the show.

5. Danshoku Dieno Birthday Eve Commemorative Match ~ Special 3 Way Match: Takeshi Masada Vs Kazuma Sumi (Special Referee: Danshoku Dieno)
6. Special Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo & Yuki Iino Vs Yuki Ueno & Kazuki Hirata
7. DDT Extreme Title – Leave History Behind!! 3 Round Pokkiri Strategy Match: Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs Antonio Honda

The DDT Extreme Title will be defended in a Best 2-Out-Of-3 Rounds match. Each round will have different rules or stipulations based on the ideas of both Shunma Katsumata and Antonio Honda. What those rules are we will not know until the show takes place. Katsumata likes to gamble which is why he is letting Honda decide on some of the rules. Honda can come up with something that will put Katsumata at a disadvantage but the champion thinks that is one reason why wrestling is so exciting. It does not even have to be a big rule change. The way Honda describes it, a small item can fall into a river and flow all the way into the ocean.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW LIVE TOUR 2024 SPRING”, 18/05/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

6. Queen Of Asia Title & VPW Women’s Title: Yuki Kamifuku (c/c) Vs Alexis Lee

Next month’s Korakuen Hall show has a Princess Of Princess Title match already booked but I’m struggling to see who could be next to challenge for either the Princess Tag Team Titles or the International Princess Title. Maybe we will find out one of them here.

DDT “KING OF DDT ~20TH ANNIVERSARY~ FINAL!!”, 26/05/2024
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

0. Dark Match: Yuni & Keigo Nakamura Vs Ilusion & Kazuma Sumi
1. 3 Way Tag Match: Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi Vs Yukio Naya & Takeshi Masada
2. KANON & MJ Paul Vs HARASHIMA & Akito
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku Vs Poison Sawada JULIE, Shuji Ishikawa & Masahiro Takanashi
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Akiyama & Tomomitsu Matsunaga
5. King Of DDT 20th Anniversary – Semi Final: MAO Vs Kazusada Higuchi
6. King Of DDT 20th Anniversary – Semi Final: Chris Brookes Vs Daisuke Sasaki
7. King Of DDT 20th Anniversary – Final: X Vs X

We’re left with a pretty good final four in the King Of DDT this year. Either MAO, Kazusada Higuchi, Chris Brookes or Daisuke Sasaki is going to take the crown. While the winner will certainly get a KO-D Openweight Title shot down the line, it looks like Yuki Ueno wants to defend it against Sanshiro Takagi first. Those two being in the same match on the show suggests we’re about to get a payoff to that.

A big match coming up for Daichi Kazato. He got over his setback from two weeks ago to become the No. 1 Contender for the Union MAX Title. He’s been all heart on the path to becoming champion which means Minoru Fujita knows it will take a lot to beat him. It is be a battle that will end in heartbreak for one of them.

BASARA “BASARA 248 ~TAKAGARI 24~” Results

May 11, 2024

BASARA “BASARA 248 ~TAKAGARI 24~”, 11/05/2024
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Chicharito Shoki & Daiju Wakamatsu defeated Masato Kamino & Yasu Urano when Shoki pinned Kamino with a Side School Boy (12:47).
2. Minoru Fujita defeated SAGAT with a Rope Assisted Cradle (12:42).
3. Lil’ Kraken, Leo Isaka & Takahiro Katori defeated FUMA, KUBITO & Jet Bar when Kraken pinned KUBITO with the High Angle Jumping Knee Butt (16:12).
4. Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi when Sekine submitted Hiroshi with the Let’s Combine (14:00).
5. Union MAX Title Next Challenger Match: Daichi Kazato defeated Isami Kodaka with the Firebird Splash (17:46).

Could this be the breakthrough match for Daichi Kazato? He pulled out a Firebird Splash to beat Isami Kodaka and become No. 1 Contender for the Union MAX Title. He told fans he still has a long way to go but he wants to have more intense matches to make BASARA the most fun place in the world! Minoru Fujita told him the title match on 28th May will be a battle to break either Kazato’s heart or his own!

In a confusing turn of events, Judo Master has suddenly gone missing and cannot be found. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi just so happens to live near the venue so he was able to fill in on short notice. Ryota Nakatsu insulted him during the match by telling everyone that Master’s techniques are better. Takumi Tsukamoto even yelled at Hiroshi to do better during the grappling exchanges. Hiroshi ended up tapping out to Ryuichi Sekine which only made Tsukamoto even madder. He then lost his temper and attacked Hiroshi after the match.

Fujita played a lot of mind games with SAGAT from calling him a cat so fans would chant “SAGA-nyan” to forcing him to wear his old mask. He also asked SAGAT to take it easy on him because tomorrow is Mother’s Day in Japan and he just wants to see his mom again. SAGAT agreed to wear the mask and even tried to hide his face when Fujita later pulled the mask off. The confusion worked and SAGAT was able to pin SAGAT with a School Boy while placing one of his foots on the rope for leverage.

After the show Kodaka told reporters that he wants BASARA to start holding two “~UTAGE~” events a month beginning in August. The roster has grown big enough that he had to start leaving regulars off of recent shows. On the other hand there has also been a freshness to recent events because of the young wrestlers from elsewhere working on the undercard. He does not want to cut down on either so his solution is to increase the schedule. That way whoever misses the first “~UTAGE~” event of the month can be booked for the second. The “~UTAGE~” brand will be split into Red shows and Blue shows but BASARA is not doing a brand split. Some wrestlers will be appearing on both and if anyone only ever gets booked for one particular side it will be a coincidence.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW LIVE TOUR 2024 SPRING”, 18/05/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Queen Of Asia Title & VPW Women’s Title: Yuki Kamifuku (c/c) Vs Alexis Lee

All of a sudden Yuki Kamifuku has created an Asian Double Crown championship! She has held the Queen Of Asia Title since last November and just a few days ago won the brand new VPW Women’s Title in Vietnam. Both of those title wins came from Kamifuku defeating Alexis Lee, a 10 year veteran of the Southeast Asian wrestling scene. Her name has come up a lot in my DDT Around The World reports because she is the go-to opponent for whenever somebody from Tokyo Joshi Pro travels to Singapore. Lee has not given up on getting revenge for losing both championships to Kamifuku and is coming to TJPW for a double title rematch!

Wakana Uehara will not be at the show because she will be performing at a stage show elsewhere that day.

Shinichiro Tominaga had to go looking through the student pro wrestling scene for a partner so he can challenge GROUND ABSOLUTE for the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles. What he found is Daisuke®️ from Tomginaga’s other home promotion CWP. Daisuke®️ is allegedly a former trainee from another company whose name he cannot reveal. He’s been wrestling in CWP since 2019 with the dragon gene in his heart and his goal is to one day open CWP’s dream gate.

BASARA “BASARA 249 ~UTAGE~”, 28/05/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs Takumi Tsukamoto & Judo Master

There is a very slight naming change to the IRON FIST Tag Team Titles. BASARA noticed that the media and wrestlers keep writing the name of the championship in katakana instead of using the upper case “IRON FIST”. So from now on they decided it will be written as “Iron Fist Tag Team Titles” (アイアンフィストタッグ選手権).

Also something to note is BASARA themselves aren’t quite sure where Judo Master belongs to. His affiliation is written as “Free?” on their website.

BASARA “BASARA 247 ~AKATSUKA ROKKAMURA 2~” Results

May 5, 2024

BASARA “BASARA 247 ~AKATSUKA ROKKAMURA 2~”, 05/05/2024
Tokyo Narimasu Act Hall
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Ryuichi Sekine & Chicharito Shoki defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Judo Master when Sekine submitted Tsukamoto with the Let’s Combine (9:33).
2. 3 Way Match: Ryota Nakatsu defeated FUMA and SAGAT when Nakatsu pinned SAGAT with a Back Roll Clutch (11:11).
3. Lil’ Kraken & Gaia Hox defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Kraken pinned Nakano with a School Boy (11:05).
4. Fuminori Abe defeated Daichi Kazato with a Cradle Cutback (12:56).
5. Isami Kodaka & Minoru Fujita defeated KUBITO & Yasu Urano when Kodaka pinned KUBITO with the Long Flight Vertical Drop Brainbuster (22:05).

It was confirmed after the main event that Isami Kodaka and Daichi Kazato will have a No. 1 Contender’s match for the Union MAX Title on 11th May. Kazato had a setback today after he lost to Fuminori Abe after a careless mistake ended with him getting cradled for the three count. But he assured everyone he stepped up by two or three levels despite the result. Kodaka told him it doesn’t matter how high he levels up if he doesn’t win in the end. Kazato assured everyone he has no intentions of losing the match against Kodaka.

Earlier, Abe told Kazato after their match that if he can beat Kodaka then he will have all the momentum to win the MAX Title from Minoru Fujita. When that happens Abe will challenge him for a title shot because he now considers himself the next No. 1 Contender after Kazato or Kodaka!

Things are getting uneasy between Takumi Tsukamoto & Judo Master. They lost their tag match in the opener and got into an argument afterwards that needed them to be separated. In unrelated news this weekend is the 13th anniversary of Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s debut.

Today’s show had free tickets for everyone under 18 year’s old because it is Children’s Day in Japan.
