5. Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Soma Takao with the Right Knee Of God (12:02).
6. DDT Extreme Title Next Challenger Final: Masa Takanashi defeated Yasu Urano, Makoto Oishi, Kazuki Hirata and Hiroshi Fukuda (28:54).
6a. Over The Top Rope Only Match: Kazuki Hirata eliminated Makoto Oishi by Ring Out (4:34).
6b. Blindfold Match: Hiroshi Fukuda eliminated Kazuki Hirata with a Cradle (17:08).
6c. One Count Match: Yasu Urano eliminated Hiroshi Fukuda with a Jackknife Pin (20:38).
6d. Texas Tiger Cub Rope Match: Masa Takanashi eliminated Yasu Urano with the Takatonic (28:54).

The main event was a 5 Way Elimination match to determine the No. 1 Contender for the DDT Extreme Title. Each fall was fought under a different rule set calling back to a variety of stipulation matches from the past. The match begun while Kazuki Hirata was making his entrance and the first fall was Over The Top Rope only. Hirata and Makoto Oishi fought on the apron and Oishi hit a Stunner. He tried the Miracle Ecstasy but Hirata avoided it and Dropkicked Oishi to the floor to eliminate him. The next fall was a Blindfold Match. The four wrestlers all stumbled around ringside trying to find each other. Hirata sang loudly to try and lure his opponents towards him. At one point everybody was almost counted out of the ring but they all managed to find the apron and roll in at 19. Yukinori Matsui was mistaken for a wrestler several times and Lariated some of the wrestlers out of self defence. Hirata somehow found his HIRATA GO! glasses and put them on over his blindfold. He tripped over Hiroshi Fukuda while dancing and got pinned. The 3rd fall had One Count Pinfall rules and after a frantic minute of pinning attempts, Yasu Urano rolled over Fukuda with a Jackknife Pin for the elimination. The match came down to Urano and Masa Takanashi in the return of the Texas Tiger Cub Rope Match. A tiger rope with a stuffed tiger toy attached to it linked Urano and Takanashi together. Takanashi used Matsui as a human shield to block Urano and then hit the Takatonic to win the Extreme Title shot.

The champion Antonio Honda confronted Takanashi after the match and challenged him to a non-title match on the final day of Beer Garden week.

A chop battle between Konosuke Takeshita and Tomomitsu Matsunaga transformed into a bodybuilding posedown between the two. Later in the match Antonio Honda called out the late Roddy Piper when he applied a Sleeper Hold.

In the opening match Suguru Miyatake got a boost in power from his fitness drink. However Sanshiro Takagi negated it by force feeding Miyatake beer while he was applying a Camel Clutch to Toru Owashi.

Tetusya Endo made an appearance to talk about his return match with Takeshita. Endo aims to beat Takeshita and not just have a good match. Takeshita said the timing of Endo’s return is perfect and he is prepared for Endo to be 120% at Sumo Hall.

Beer Garden was the most fitting event for KUDO to announce their own alcohol product. DRAMATIC DREAM TASTE will be sold in the Dropkick Bar and Ebisuko Tavern from 10th August onwards.

It wouldn’t be Beer Garden week without a scary ghost story from guest Hisaya Imabayashi. When the match began all the wrestlers decided to get drinks and prepare for storytime instead of fighting each other. However after three minutes Imabayashi was nowhere to be seen. Kazusada Higuchi came out and told everyone that Imabayashi was running late because of a traffic accident. Danshoku Dino decided that every wrestler will try to tell their own ghost story. Akito went first but he spoke too fast. Shigehiro Irie went next but he struggled to read the Chinese letters and asked Keisuke Ishii to help him. When it was Ishii’s turn he instead talked about why the Triple Crown is better than the IWGP Title. Dino admitted that was the scariest story so far. Saki Akai skipped her turn so she could drink more beer with the audience. HARASHIMA was the last hope to save this segment and he told his story:

“One summer day a man killed his pregnant wife and buried her corpse under a tree in a park. A few years later the man walked past the tree and saw a kid crying beneath it. He asked the child “What is wrong? Where is your mother?” The boy looked at him and asked “Why?”

Why?

Because I practice!!!”

HARASHIMA posed with a cheesy grin as his music played over the speakers, completely forgetting he was supposed to tell a scary story and not his catchphrase. Dino gave up and began to cry until Imabayashi at last showed up. He apologised for being late, he crashed his car into a telephone pole. Dino asked him to quickly read a ghost story. He did:

“One summer day a man killed his pregnant wife and buried her corpse under a tree in a park. A few years later the man walked past the tree and saw a kid crying beneath it. He asked the child “What is wrong? Where is your mother?” The boy pointed at the tree. The man then asked “Where is your father?” The boy looked at him and said “My dad… is you!”

Dino was satisfied with the scary story. Imabayashi said he was amazaed to hear “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2015” was sold out. Dino asked him who he was looking forward to seeing. Imabayashi yelled “It’s you!” and pointed at Dino, making him faint. He then did the same to the other wrestlers, making them faint one by one. He even did it to Matsui. “Wild Thing” then played over the speakers and Imabayashi threw bottles of holy water over the audience. While this was going on Higuchi came back out and said he had a phone call from Imabayashi’s wife. She said Imabayashi had died in a car crash earlier today…

The End.

sakaguchi-irie-kneeofgod

After several weeks of setbacks and self-doubt Yukio Sakaguchi finally overcame Shigehiro Irie in the main event of today’s show. For the last month Irie had Sakaguchi’s number everytime they faced off and they wasted no time from the get go. KUDO watched the match from the commentary table knowing that he will be defending the KO-D Openweight Title against either wrestler at Sumo Hall next month. Irie hit the Flying Sausage, Teddy Bear and Beast Bomber but Sakaguchi wouldn’t stay down. Sakaguchi locked in a Sleeper Hold but Irie escaped and hit a Fire Thunder Driver for two. Sakaguchi Headbutted his way out of the Vertical Drop Back Flip and unleashed High Kicks to Irie, finishing him off with the Right Knee Of God. Sakaguchi praised Irie after the match and thanked GM Amon Tsurumi for not listening to his selfish plea of being removed from the Sumo Hall main event. Sakaguchi then called in KUDO and they had a staredown. Masa Takanashi tried to keep both of them calm but KUDO put his hand up to his mouth to shut him up. Sakaguchi told KUDO their match will be a war and they will kill each other for the KO-D Title.

suplex-prefecture-bitch

The Golden☆Storm Riders and Strong BJ had their final skirmish before the big KO-D Tag Team Title match. The 6-Man Tag saw Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki push Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi into each other with trolleys. Strong BJ fought back with a triple Torture Rack spot in the ring. Ibushi stopped a German Suplex pin from Sekimoto by Double Stomping onto him. Unfortunately for Sasaki he got tossed around some more including a Double German from the tag champs. Sasaki’s flash Hurricanrana was blocked and Sekimoto destroyed him with the Lariat followed by the Deadlift German Suplex. In the post-match interview Ibushi said Sasaki was damaged pretty badly but he’ll recover in time for Sumo Hall. Meanwhile Ibushi will now focus on the G1 Climax that begins tomorrow.

mikami-farewell

After being with DDT for its entire 18 year existence MIKAMI has finished up his contract and is now a freelancer. DDT gave him a special sending off even though he is still going to wrestle for them from time to time. MIKAMI gave a speech thanking everyone for supporting him and continuing to support him. He also gave special mention to Gorgeous Matsuno and said they will team again someday.

fall-to-the-hell

Akito’s reign as DDT Extreme Champion has come to an end after Antonio Honda beat him in a Fall To The Hell Match. The ropes and turnbuckle pads were removed from the ring and the match could be won by ring out as well as pinfall or submission. There was a lot of ground wrestling as both men didn’t want to risk getting knocked out of the ring. Akito busted open Honda with Headbutts but Honda won out in the end when he Dropkicked Akito out of the ring. Honda said blood on his face is like beautiful make-up on a beautiful woman. It was announced afterwards that Honda will have his first defence at Sumo Hall. His opponent will be determined on 1st August. Honda is thrilled to have a big title match at Sumo Hall.

last-minute-powerpoint

Due to the warm summer weather Super Sasadango Machine did not wear his usual long wrestling tights for his match. He also had a migraine so he did not create a PowerPoint presentation in time for the match. Danshoki Dino & Makoto Oishi asked how long it would take to make one and he said 5 minutes. Dino & Oishi told Sasadango to go make it and they will wrestle without him. Sasadango finished it and midway through the match he begun his analysis. He compared his opponents to the Takeda Cavalry from the Warring States period of Japanese history. The Takeda Cavalry was defeated with guns in the Battle Of Nagashino so Sasadango’s team should do something similar, just instead of guns they should use their asses. Sasadango said the anus is their muzzle, the rectum is their barrel and that’s where the bullet exits from (I can’t believe I’m typing this). He then revealed his plan “The Anal Three Stage Shoot”. The plan was for all three to use ass based offence and it worked! The trio won the match and look like they will be challenging for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles at Sumo Hall.

saki-takanashi-go

The 3 Way Tag devolved into dancing and fighting over the Hirata GO! glasses. Takanashi rolled over both Kazuki Hirata & Hiroshi Fukuda for a near fall. Saki Akai then followed up with a Double Jackknife Pin and that was enough to get the win. Hirata & Fukuda argued over who lost after the match.

higuchi-backbreaker

Kazusada Higuchi has a new entrance song. He tapped out Kota Umeda by countering the Tornado Bomb into the Canadian Backbreaker.

urano-ihashi-dark

Even with all the rules in his favour Gota Ihashi could not beat Yasu Urano in the King Of Dark Title match. Urano was being punished for losing the KO-D Title to Ken Ohka and only had to be pinned for 1 second to lose the match. However an Oklahoma Roll saved him from dark match hell. Ihashi then found out his next title match will be at Sumo Hall against Dragon Gate’s own lovable loser “Hollywood” Stalker Ichikawa! Ihashi thinks this is the match that will finally free him from his nightmare.

More matches were booked for “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2015”. Genichiro Tenryu, Sanshiro Takagi & Saki Akai will take on Shuji Ishikawa, Kazusada Higuchi & Meiko Satomura. Also Tetsuya Endo returns from injury and his first match back is against his tag team partner Konosuke Takeshita!

Antonio Honda did a good job convincing Akito for a DDT Extreme Title match. They will fight under Fall Into The Hell rules. The ring ropes will be removed and victory can be achieved by pinfall, submission or knocking the opponent out of the ring.

There is no official stipulation added to Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Shigehiro Irie. However if Irie beats Sakaguchi again for the third time this month it will surely lead to changes in the Sumo Hall main event.

A stipulation yet to be decided will be added to the Union Sekigun Vs King Legion 6-Man Tag.

Kazuhiko Ogasawara sent a letter to Union explaining he has taken Ryu Gouma under his wing. He calls Gouma an idiot who people laugh at but if he learns Karate he could beat people that are 7 and even 8 feet tall! The letter ends with Ogasawara saying the time has come for Karate-gun’s revival! Karate-gun was Union’s first enemy faction when the brand was re-established in 2005. The infamous feud featured Ogasawara fighting Poison Sawada in a Scorpion Death Match and later a Toxic Barbed Wired Board Death Match. I don’t think the same will happen here with Gouma.

arm-trap-piledriver

Cracks are starting to grow within Shuten-dōji over the Sumo Hall main event. KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi lost to Team Dream Futures cleanly when Shigehiro Irie held Sakaguchi in place for Keisuke Ishii’s Kneel Kick. Irie then followed up with the Arm Trap Piledriver for the pinfall. KUDO left ringside on his own leaving Sakaguchi confused. Masa Takanashi is now trying to play peacekeeper by going back and forth between the two. Shuten-dōji and Team Dream Futures will clash again next week for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

strongbj-stormriders

Two of the Golden☆Storm Riders are getting a KO-D Tag Team Title shot. Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki left nothing to chance when they fought Konosuke Takeshita & Antonio Honda. They attacked Happy Motels during their entrance and placed them in trolleys around ringside. Sasaki pinned Takeshita with his flash Hurricanrana to earn the No. 1 Contendership for his team. The champions Strong BJ were in attendance and confronted their challengers after the match. Daisuke Sekimoto told Ibushi he was ready for him. Yuji Okabayashi said he was ready for a great struggle between two wrestlers born in 1982 (himself and Ibushi). Ibushi said it will be a good match and he has a strong partner. Sasaki called himself and Ibushi the strongest tag team on the planet.

treasurehunt-bullrope

The DDT Extreme Title was on the line in a Treasure Hunt Bull Rope match. Akito and Masa Takanashi were attached to each other with a rope while the title belt was placed in one of four bags. After every fall the winner chose a bag, if it contained the belt then the match would end. However the other bags were filled with dummy belts with extra rules written on them that had to be applied for the rest of the match. Akito used the ropes to great effect and won the first fall with a modified Scorpion Deathlock. However the bag he picked contained the rule that made grappling illegal. Akito was unable to use his submission hold but was able to pin Takanashi to win the second fall. This time the bag he found contained the Tequila Drink rules. Both wrestlers had to drink tequila after every kickout. Takanashi was delighted. After a few shots Akito again used the rope to his advantage by hooking it over the top ring rope and holding himself down as countered a Sunset Flip into a pin. Third time was the charm and Akito picked the bag with the real belt to win! A dizzy Akito pleaded for the drinks of tequila to stop.

*V2 for Akito.

What has become quite possibly the most impressive DDT Extreme Title run continues as Akito survived a Last Man Standing challenge from Shigehiro Irie. With the 10 count beginning after every successful pin or submission, the two fought hard. So much so that the metal fillings used to hold the ring ropes broke after Irie hit the ropes hard. The two fought outside while the ring was repaired. Irie almost won after doing a Piledriver, Flying Sausage and Beast Bomber but Akito got up at 9. Akito got up at 9 again after another Beast Bomber followed by the Package Piledriver. The champion fought back by targeting Irie’s knee, striking it with a chair and locking in the Arm Clutch Figure Four Leglock. Irie managed to get up by 9 but one last Beast Bomber from him was countered into a Cross Heel Hook. Irie tapped and could not get back to his feet in time. Akito was proud to defend the title in his home of Nagoya and felt he was able to give a little back to the people with his performance. He claimed this match was not the end of the story between himself and Irie. It is just the beginning.

Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi continue their KO-D Tag Team Title reign after a victory over HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano. Despite HARASHIMA’s recent return to the top, he was cancelled out by Sekimoto and held back while Okabayashi finished off Urano. MIKAMI approached the champions after the match. He was granted a wish for winning the Amon Tsurumi Cup earlier in the night and he wanted to announce what it was. He wants a KO-D Tag Title shot and his partner will be Shuji Ishikawa! Sekimoto & Okabayashi are ready and waiting for the challenge.

Danshoku Jinsei was shaking with nerves as he began wrestling against Jinsei Shinzaki. However he gained enough confidence to use some of Shinzaki’s own moves against him, most notably the Rope Walk. Yukinori Matsui was knocked out by an unintentional Lip Lock and that allowed Makoto Oishi to interfere. He tried to shove Shinzaki’s face into Danshoku’s rear end but that backfired. Shinzaki then attacked Danshoku’s ass and forced him to submit to the Paradise Lock. After the match Shinzaki asked Dino to stop his Danshoku Life pilgrimmage. Dino said he would if he could get a kiss from him. Shinzaki reluctantly agreed to kiss him on the cheek but Oishi told him that tomorrow is Dino’s birthday so it should be on the lips. After being urged by everyone in the arena, Shinzaki kissed Dino on the mouth. Dino suddenly transformed back to normal and chased Suguru Miyatake around ringside. Oishi proclaimed that Danshoku Dino has returned from Hades and regained his sanity!

Daisuke Sasaki added another Right To Challenge Contract to his collection after pinning KUDO in the 3 Way Match. Sasaki now has 3 contracts and won’t stop until he has them all! The result of this has cancelled the original main event of the next Korakuen Hall show on 31st May. KUDO was supposed to cash in on that day to get his KO-D Openweight Title shot against either HARASHIMA or Kazusada Higuchi. Now the main event has been declared blank.

Yukinori Matsui got to wear the HIRATA GO glasses and join in with the dancing in Match #3. He Lariated everyone who tried to take them off him. After the match Sanshiro Takagi said he is very busy running two companies at once so T2Hide should recruit new members to take his place. An audition will take place on the 31/5 Korakuen Hall show.

The winner of the Amon Tsurumi Cup would be granted one wish for anything as long as it was in the GM Amon Tsurumi’s authority to grant it. Tsurumi’s Muscle employee Kazunori Huzioka was unexpectedly entered the match against his will. Yukio Sakaguchi ordered him to take off his jacket if he wouldn’t fight. Huzioka did so and revealed he was wearing a bra underneath. Sakaguchi then made him tap to a Sleeper Hold for an elimination. MIKAMI wound up winning the match and told Tsurumi he will ask for his wish when the time comes. That turned out to be the Tag Title challenge at the end of the show.

1. Different Life ~Sound Of Impermanence~: Danshoku Dino Vs Jinsei Shinzaki
2. DDT Extreme Title – Last Man Standing Match: Akito (c) Vs Shigehiro Irie
3. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi (c) Vs HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano

We’re getting close to HARASHIMA holding a bunch of DDT championships at the same time again.

The Last Man Standing Match will be pinfall rules. The 10 count only begins after a wrestler is pinned for a three count or gives up from a submission hold.

For the past month Danshoku Dino has been on a pilgrimage to rediscover Danshoku Life. His journey has been relatively peaceful and without danger. But when Dino found out he will be facing Jinsei Shinzaki next his calm demeanour began to fade and he was left shaking in fear. This will be the first big test of his pilgrimage.

5. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi (c) Vs Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie
6. KO-D Openweight Title: Kota Ibushi (c) Vs HARASHIMA

So two of the wrestlers fighting over the last Right To Challenge Contract already have contracts. That’s a little unfair. I assume Hiroshi Fukuda’s and Yasu Urano’s contracts will be safe if they are just eliminated by ring out.

1. KO-D Openweight Title: Kota Ibushi (c) Vs Kazusada Higuchi

The DNA stand out Kazusada Higuchi has made it public that he will cash in his Right To Challenge Contract in his home prefecture of Hokkaido. All he has to do is not lose it until then. He’s on the right track because he has yet to drop a fall in his young pro wrestling career.

Saki Akai and Tomoya will wrestle on the show.

Sudden Death: Akito (c) defeated Daisuke Sasaki with a Perfect Figure Four Leglock (6:48).
*V1 for Akito.

The DDT Extreme Title was up for grabs in a gruelling 60 minute Ironman match, continuing the trend of the championship being defended in serious skill-based matches. The champion Akito had already lost to the challenger Daisuke Sasaki in March. A rematch went 30 minutes without a winner and now even 60 minutes isn’t enough to determine who is more worthy of being champion. Sasaki scored the first fall with a Hurricanrana but Akito equalised with a Scorpion Armlock submission. Akito thought outside of the box with La Mistica into the Crossface Lock to go ahead again. A double countout occurred shortly afterwards when the two fought outside and did what they could to prevent the other from re-entering the ring. Akito made it a tie score at the 45th minute with the Kinniku Big Move. In the dying moments of the match Sasaki used TAKA Michinoku’s Dick Killer submission (Sasaki was trained by Dick Togo, the wrestler TAKA designed the move to use against) but Akito persevered until the bell rang to end the match at 2 falls a piece. A draw would have counted as a successful defence for Akito but the champion refused and wanted the match to restart so they could determine a winner. Sudden death overtime began and the two were able to fight for 6 more minutes until Akito finally got the better of Sasaki with an Arm Clutch Figure Four Leglock. With nowhere to escape Sasaki had to give up. After the match the two reminisced about their first matches together at the Monthly Young Communication shows DDT used to do. Akito said he will continue to wrestle Sasaki any number of times in the future if they can.

Akito pointed out that his next title defence will be in Nagoya on 17th May. He nominated Shigehiro Irie as his next challenger since Nagoya is a place close to Irie’s heart. Irie was “amazingly happy” to be chosen and he knows he will be fighting the best.

HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano signalled their intentions to go after the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles after beating Keisuke Ishii & Soma Takao. Ishii has no time to worry about that. His full attention is on the KO-D Tag Team Title shot at the end of the month.

We almost had the first Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract cash in. Hiroshi Fukuda entered the ring after the BOYZ Vs YaroZ match with the intention of challenging a tired Kota Ibushi for the KO-D Openweight Title. Problem is Ibushi wasn’t feeling tired. In fact he was ready to wrestle again there and then. Fukuda suddenly got cold feet and changed his mind. He remembered he has other errands to attend to and will challenge Ibushi another time. Amon Tsurumi told Fukuda he could cash in after the Ibushi Vs HARASHIMA match at Korakuen Hall. Fukuda played dumb and acted like he wasn’t sure what time that show is taking place before leaving the ring.

The YaroZ team had a secret weapon prepared for their BOYZ opponents. Brother Tommy introduced another MC midway through the match, Rashiki Ihashi. Unfortunately Ihashi’s interference backfired and cost YaroZ the match. Sanshiro Takagi was annoyed by losing because of an outside party and demanded a rematch without any interference from either side. BOYZ Vs YaroZ will have one final match at the 29th April Korakuen Hall show.

Before the latest Tokyo GO! match took place, Yukio Sakaguchi presented KUDO with the HIRATA GO glasses he wore in Yokohama. KUDO stubbornly refused to wear them. Kazuki Hirata came down to the ring angry that his glasses were stolen by Sakaguchi but he luckily had a spare one with him. As the match went on KUDO was eventually convinced to put on the glasses to go against Hirata’s. KUDO brought an end to the nonsense when he kicked Hirata in the head so hard the glasses flew off.

Ever since Danshoku Dino begun his “Danshoku Life” pilgrimage, MIKAMI has lost to him three times in a row.

Yasu Urano avoided dark match hell when he beat Gota Ihashi in the King of Dark Title match. Urano submitted Ihashi with a tight Headlock, the very same ending that happened in Ihashi’s debut DDT match almost 6 years ago.
