1. Ganpro Survival Tag Match – Ohka-gun Vs Ishii-gun: Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari, Shota & Yuna Mizumori (3) defeated Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie, Kouki Iwasaki & HARUKAZE (2) (32:44).
1a. Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari defeated Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie when Imanari knocked Irie out of the ring (13:14).
1b. Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki defeated Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari when Ishii pinned Imanari with the Double Arm Driver (15:13).
1c. Ken Ohka & Shota Vs Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki ended in a Double Ring Out when Ohka and Ishii were both knocked out of the ring (20:18).
1d. Shota & Yuna Mizumori defeated Kouki Iwasaki & HARUKAZE when Mizumori pinned HARUKAZE with the Supergirl (32:44).
2. GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Katsuzaki Shunosuke, Moehiko Harumisawa & Shu Sakurai defeated Asuka, Hagane Shinno & Shinichiro Tominaga (c) when Shunosuke submitted Tominaga with the Ninja Choke (28:26).
*Asuka, Hagane Shinno & Shinichiro Tominaga fail in V3. THE HALFEE become the 26th GWC 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
THE HALFEE are now two time GWC 6-Man Tag Team Champions! For Shu Sakurai this was a very memorable moment for him. His debut match took place inside Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR and he is very happy to win back the title in the same building. Moehiko Harumisawa congratulated him for becoming a stronger wrestler. She said everybody in Ganbare☆Pro has strong character with a determination to survive. Their reward for that is winning the GWC 6-Man Tag Titles again. Katsuzaki Shunosuke said the belts originally came from Guts World. On 13th June, THE HALFEE will be wrestling for Guts World’s successor TTT (Total Triumph Team). They announced they will defend the titles against Guts Ishijima and Speed Of Sounds. Shunosuke promised that they will prove the belts belong to THE HALFEE and Ganpro!
The former champions are now trying to figure out what caused them to lose today. Hagane Shinno pointed towards a lack of teamwork between the three of them. He and Asuka both admitted they don’t like Shinichiro Tominaga very much which isn’t a good dynamic for a trio. Shinno then argued that point doesn’t make sense because Asuka & Tominaga are still teaming together for the upcoming Mixed Tag Tournament. Tominaga said that was Daisuke Kiso’s idea so it is all his fault.
Ken Ohka’s squad were victorious over Keisuke Ishii’s team in the Survival Tag Match. The match was 2 Vs 2 for the entire time until one team was whittled down to its final member. It begun with Ohka & Yumehito Imanari against Ishii & Shigehiro Irie. Over The Top Rope rules counted towards eliminations and Irie found that out the hard way. He charged towards Imanari, Imanari pulled the top rope down and Irie toppled out of the ring to be removed from the match. Kouki Iwasaki came in and Imanari didn’t last much longer. Ishii took him out with the Double Arm Driver to bring in Shota. Ohka then sacrificed himself to eliminate Ishii via Double Ring Out when he jumped off the apron while carrying Ishii over his shoulders. That brought in Yuna Mizumori (replacing an injured Yuna Manase) and HARUKAZE for the final fall. Mizumori avoided a Cross Armbreaker and pinned HARUKAZE with the Supergirl cradle for the victory. Mizumori wished for Manase to recover soon so they could team up again.
At the end of the show Ohka announced that he too would be at the TTT show. He & Imanari then promoted “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” on 6th June. Ohka said this is the era of Uber Eats and on 6th June you will see Uber Ganbare☆Pro!

Yoshiaki Yatsu held a public training session today to demonstrate his wrestling ability with his specially made prosthetic foot. Using Keigo Nakamura as his sparring partner, Yatsu successfully did Bulldog Headlocks, Suplexes, Power Slams and even a Uranage. For his big finish, Yatsu applied the Jail Hold with such skill that it made Nakamura submit. Yatsu explained to the reporters that when he stands, he cannot move his ankle so he risks becoming an easy target in the Battle Royal if he stays still. For now, kicking with the prosthetic foot has not been ruled illegal by DDT so Yatsu is looking forward to kicking and stomping his opponents before the rule gets changed. He is so excited to wrestle again.

Super Sasadango Machine attempted to crash another NOAH show this week to hold negotiations with Takashi Sugiura and Kazushi Sakuraba. He was stopped at the entrance again but this time purchased a ticket to be allowed into the show. Unfortunately he was told by a staff member that neither Sugiura or Sakuraba were present. Sasadango explained to him that he brought gifts for Sugiura and Sakuraba and asked for them to be passed along. Sugiura is getting sasadango dumplings while Sakuraba is getting medicine for his pollen allergies.
X in the Tokyo Joshi Pro opener is still a mystery. YUMI’s big news over the weekend is she’s entering the idol industry as part of a new group called Tokyo Survivor. So that’s her completely out of wrestling now.
“MASAHIRO TAKANASHI BOX OFFICE YOPPARAI IS BACK”, 13/07/2021

1. Masahiro Takanashi Vs Fuminori Abe
January was supposed to be the return match for Masahiro Takanashi after being out of action with knee injuries. However he cancelled his self-produced show due to the pandemic. After months of waiting he finally decided to go ahead with the show and is setting it up for this July. Takanashi’s scheduled opponent hasn’t changed. It’s Fuminori Abe, the man he last fought when his injury happened. This year Takanashi has done an exhibition match and has shown up on some wrestling shows here and there but he hasn’t been in a proper wrestling match since March 2020 where his injury took place.
Also on the show are Chris Brookes, Yukio Sakaguchi, Isami Kodaka, Emi Sakura and the UMA Corps. More are expected to appear.

Not a day’s rest without posting an update. Tokyo Joshi Pro will be holding events on 22nd May after all. Their original Azalea Taisho Hall in Osaka event has been pushed back to June and a doubleheader at Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR in Tokyo takes its place. The roster will be split in half with twelve wrestlers booked for the afternoon show and the other twelve competing in the evening show. However Arisu Endo and Moka Miyamoto will be on both shows. They are the only wrestlers working double duty that day. Gotta get them extra reps in.

It’s been decided that the complete “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” show will contain 14 matches. That’s 3 matches in the STARTING BATTLE pre-show and 11 matches on the main card. The last addition is Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine throwing out a challenge to a NOAH team. Sasadango wants Takashi Sugiura and Sugiura-gun in particular for a battle between two very different pro wrestling philosophies. Dieno doesn’t like that idea but is getting dragged into it anyway.

Based on the instructions of the extended state of emergency and the guidelines presented by all of the venues, the remaining DDT and Ganbare☆Pro shows this month are allowed to go ahead with fans in attendance. A combination of holding shows in areas outside of the emergency zones and at small venues inside said zones seems to be the reason why this is happening. Tokyo Joshi Pro will announce their plans later although they today confirmed their show in Osaka on the 22nd has been pushed back to July. Their only other shows to come this month is one this coming Saturday and the PPV on the 29th. I have my concerns about “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” going ahead even though they should be free to run the show by the time June rolls around. Cramming in four rosters worth of wrestlers into a day long supershow this close to the current situation sounds like it will cause a lot of trouble if they’re not careful. The news about Japan’s handling of its vaccinations sounds really bad too.

When the field for this year’s King Of DDT was revealed, one wrestler who was left off went to Twitter to give his opinion about it. Yuki Iino doesn’t understand why Naomi Yoshimura was picked to enter the tournament over him. He challenged Yoshimura to a match to prove he deserves the spot instead. A ton of matches added to the show courtesy of DDT and Tokyo Joshi. There’s still more to come believe it or not. Yuki Arai is wrestling on the show after all and gets another crack against Maki Itoh in a trios match. Another thing to note is the mystery partner in the opening match of the STARTING BATTLE pre-show. Every member of the TJPW roster has been accounted for except for the women from NEO Biishiki-gun. They seem to have other engagements that day so X will have to be somebody from outside of TJPW. It’s also the very first match of the day so let’s keep expectations in check. Aja Kong or Mei Suruga would make sense given how their previous appearances in TJPW went. Maybe there is a new trainee about to debut. Or how about Kendo Kashin? That sounds like something he would do.
NOAH have yet to announce their entries into the Battle Royal. I also think they will provide the fourth STARTING BATTLE match to complete the pre-show.

Osaka Azalea Taisho Hall
Tokyo Joshi’s visit to Osaka on 22nd May has been postponed until July. The current state of emergency led to all venues in Osaka only allowing events to go ahead without crowds. TJPW decided it was better off to delay their show in Azalea Taisho Hall to a date when fans will be allowed to attend again.
