3. Nodoka-oneesan & Yuki Aino defeated Shoko Nakajima & Raku when Nodoka pinned Raku with the Backflip (10:47).
4. Sakisama defeated Yuki Kamifuku with the Versailles Foot Choke (0:30).
4a. Rematch: Sakisama defeated Yuki Kamifuku with a Half Crab Hold (5:29).
5. Yuka Sakazaki defeated Azusa Takigawa with the Osaekomi Backslide (9:02).
6. Yuu & Yuna Manase defeated Miyu Yamashita & Hikari when Yuu submitted Hikari with the Katahajime (13:08).

Yuu was ruthless in the main event! She targeted Miyu Yamashita with the Katahajime even though Yamashita was not the legal wrestler at that point in the match. That was all part of Yuu’s plan because that meant she didn’t have to let go when Yamashita grabbed onto the ropes! When Yuu was finished with Yamashita, she then put Hikari in the Katahajime to make her submit. Yuu then told Yamashita she is looking forward to their TOKYO Princess Title match on 25th August. Yuna Manase doesn’t have a match made for the show yet but she is looking forward to finding out what it will be.

Azusa Takigawa is feeling like herself again and said she felt like she’s been in a deep sleep for the last nine months. She struggled a little bit with dizziness as she wrestled Yuka Sakazaki but eventually got back into the swing of things. Although she is no longer Azusa Christie, Takigawa still attempted the Christie Agape finisher but it was countered into the Osaekomi Backslide to win the match for Sakazaki.

Sakisama was able to beat Yuki Kamifuku so quickly because Kamifuku had the nerve to grab a piece of Sakisama’s costume when the match started. Kamifuku pleaded for a rematch or else she would be fired for her poor performance. She did a little better in the restart but Sakisama made her give up again to make it two wins in a row.

Since today was the last time Nodoka-oneesan would be using her gimmick in the Kanto region she wanted Sanshiro Takagi and Tetsuya Koda to join in the Ping Pong Pang Exercise. Koda agreed to do it when Nodoka said it would impress his favourite idol Marika Makino.

Hyper Misao bought five copies of Young Jump magazine so she could vote for Hinano in an idol contest the magazine is doing. Hinano later drank water and imitated a Drunken Fist fighting style.

6. Ganbare☆Climax 2018 – Final: Yumehito Imanari defeated Shinichiro Tominaga with the Chubby Knee (19:08).

Change is afoot in Ganbare☆Wrestling. The Imanari Revolution has succeeded in its goal in making Yumehito Imanari a main eventer but there were plenty of other stories on this show that mark a new landscape for the brand. Imanari’s hard fought victories over Shota and Shinichiro Tominaga resulted in him winning the second ever Ganbare☆Climax. To celebrate his achievement, Imanari said Ganpro will return to the location of its very first show, the Nanhai Ichigaya Memorial Clinic on 13th September.

Imanari’s victory speech was interrupted by an unexpected figure. Kouki Iwasaki entered the ring. He said there is a lot he wants to do in Ganpro like the match with Shuichiro Katsumura he was supposed to have on New Year’s Eve. Imanari thanked Iwasaki for coming and is happy to have him on board with Ganpro. Imanari then invited Sanshiro Takagi to enter the ring for a favour. He told him he wants Ganpro to run Korakuen Hall again and he found out that DDT has the venue booked for 16th December. Takagi wanted to know who leaked him that information but Imanari said Takagi left the schedule visible on his desk at DDT HQ. Imanari invited everyone to tweet non-stop at Takagi to give over the date but he immediately gave it up.

You may have noticed something isn’t right about what was written so far. How come Imanari gets to make the decisions now instead of Ganpro’s founder Ken Ohka? Well that’s because Ohka has walked out! He was beaten again today this time by Mitsuo Momota in a tag match. Afterwards Ohka grabbed his suitcase and left the building yelling “I don’t know” and “I am in trouble” at nearby reporters.

HARUKAZE put up a good effort against Keisuke Ishii by targeting his arm with Cross Armbreakers. But she fell to a Lariat and a Middle Kick both to the back of the head followed by a Knee Drop.

It looks like Survival Tobita isn’t up to scratch when he wrestles a regular match. He quickly ran out of steam and was easily put away by Tominaga in the Ganbare☆Climax semi-final.

Kota Umeda hurt his left foot in his return match and is unable to wrestle tomorrow. MAO was switched over to Umeda’s team to take his place. Kazusada Higuchi takes MAO’s spot on the other team.

There is a lot of unfortunate news going around involving injuries and another one came from Marika Kobashi during Beer Garden week. Her shoulder injury has not healed yet and she will not be medically cleared until at least after August. She and Reika Saiki agreed to relinquish the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (now called the Magical Sugar Rabbits) were given the chance to win the vacant titles when they won the Yeah! Metcha Tag Tournament. Maki Ito convinced Saiki to team up and fight for the belts that Saiki was never beaten for.

All 32 wrestlers competing in this year’s King Of DDT tournament will be revealed during the show. However some wrestlers are either prohibited from entering or have declined to participate. The KO-D Openweight Champion and everyone who possesses a Right To Challenge Gauntlet cannot enter the tournament. Also anybody who already has a match booked for “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2018” on 21st October cannot enter either so that removes Makoto Oishi, Misaki Ohata, Joey Ryan and Laura James. Finally, Danshoku Dieno has declined to take part and Rekka will be in Taiwan while the tournament is in progress so he is not entering. After that it is fair game across the field. Will all 32 wrestlers come from the DDT family or will there be a couple of surprises in store?

Ryota Nakatsu wins the battle between the two Cavalry wrestlers to advance in the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~. Nakatsu targeting of Ryuichi Sekine’s left arm paid off when the damage prevented Sekine from using the Let’s Combine hold to its fullest effect. From there Nakatsu out-kicked his friend and got the win with the V Slider. Even though he lost, Sekine was overjoyed that Nakatsu beat him in a spirited match. He gave him his support for the rest of the tournament.

The other Heaven Summit match of the show saw Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi beating Manabu Hara to advance. Hara looked to be the better wrestler with High Kicks, Cross Armbreakers and Suplexes but Hiroshi trapped him in a Cobra Twist to get the surprise three count. Hiroshi said in his backstage interview that a major theme of pro wrestling is pain. He identifies with physical pain because of the injuries and illnesses he has suffered in the last couple of years. The yoga he does now helps him handling mental pain. He still feels the pain, all of Hara’s moves made sure of that. But without having to worry about pain, Hiroshi can now see pro wrestling matches as different puzzles. Today he was able to solve one of them.

Isami Kodaka talked about how comfortable he is wrestling with Minoru Fujita and Ikuto Hidaka. Today the three of them were able to learn how to wrestle as a trio together. However Kodaka also used a Shiranui during today’s match and he did it for a good reason. Kodaka wants to have a tag match against Fujita & Hidaka on 12th July. Who is Kodaka’s partner going to be? Naomichi Marufuji! Fujita & Hidaka accepted the challenge.

The stress Hercules Senga has been getting from his feud with the Best Stretchmen finally made him snap. He came out dressed in a banana suit and wanted to be called Banana Senga. SAGAT kind of joined in by painting his own face yellow. Senga blocked the Double Stretch Kick by pushing SAGAT into the Stretchmen’s way. Senga then Cradled Best Stretchman V3 to steal the victory. This match was supposed to end the feud but this new turn in the story made V3 demand one more match on 17th July then another final match on the 28th! They will do their final match as many times as they want!!!

For some reason Gouma Ryu thought that wrestling barefoot would give him an advantage over Akiyori Takizawa. It didn’t work.

Producer Danshoku Dieno noticed a lot of different DDT wrestlers are celebrating 15 year anniversaries of some sort this year so he is gathering them all together for KUDO’s 15th Anniversary match. It is also 15 years since Dieno began wrestling in DDT, Masahiro Takanashi’s 15th anniversary of his debut match, Yukio Sakaguchi’s 15th anniversary of his first karate competition, Super Sasadango Machine’s 15th anniversary of becoming a trainee and Makoto Oishi’s 15th anniversary of his first pro wrestling accomplishment by winning the K-METAL LEAGUE in K-DOJO.

The Up Up Girls side is of course made up for Raku, Hikari, Hinano & Miu. The Tokyo Joshi side is made up of Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima, Yuka Sakazaki and Rika Tatsumi. A lottery some time before the show will determine who faces who.

However there will be other people attending the show. More matches are planned with the rest of the Tokyo Joshi roster. The idol side of the Up Up Girls will also be there to perform and cheer on the wrestling side. Makoto Oishi wants to be involved and has formed his own version of the unit called Up Up Girls (Fake) with Hyper Misao and Yuki Kamifuku.

Konosuke Takeshita described his wrestling family. Yasu Urano was his dad, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi was his older brother and Antonio Honda was both his strange grandfather and respected uncle. Honda admits that his life changed after he and Takeshita wrestled together as part of the Happy Motels unit. He thinks Takeshita is so overflowing with positivity that it encouraged his own impulses to embrace everything. A pro wrestler can be both an athlete and a poet. Honda believes Takeshita has both of those qualities. Honda has always been there for Takeshita whether it was to give him advice about wrestling or just to lend him a CD or DVD. It was this relationship that made Takeshita understand the importance of having a “wrestling family”.

Rika Tatsumi had to get over her crush on Mizuki so she could wrestle her. The Ito Respect Army gave Marika Kobashi a Double DDT while Yuka Sakazaki wiped out Tatsumi & Miyu Yamashita with the Magical Girls Splash. Mizuki then pinned Kobashi with the Cutie Special. After the match Maki Itoh told Kobashi to get stronger for the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles Match later this month because Itoh doesn’t want to be in a boring match.

The poor referee assigned to the Maho Kurone Vs Su Yung match had his arms bitten by both at the same time. Yung hit Kurone with a rope assisted Pedigree and won with the Panic Switch. The two seemed to have patched up their differences after the match.

Yuki Kamifuku approached NEO Biishiki-gun after Match #4 asking to join the group. She thinks Saki-sama & Azusa Christie look so cool and stylish tgoether that she wants to be a part of it too. Christie was furious at the idea and thought Kamifuku was rude to ask them. Saki-sama however thought it was an interesting idea. Kamifuku isn’t at the level to join yet but she can be their apprentice for now. Kamifuku is happy with the decision. Christie is not.

Shoko Nakajima won her match with an Inverted Rings Of Saturn submission hold she calls the Unmanned Local Train Hold. It’s a Shin Godzilla reference according to the DDT English Update twitter account.

Hyper Misao told Nodoka-oneesan that she owns the patent on saying hello to the audience. Since Nodoka has been greeting the audience ever since her debut in January 2016, Misao worked out that Nodoka owes her 4,536,000 yen in overdue patent fees. However because they are friends, Nodoka only has to pay her 4,000,000 yen. When Yuki Kamifuku got in the way Misao and Nodoka worked together to get rid of her. Nodoka gave Kamifuku the Back Flip. Misao then snuck away with the win by pinning Kamifuku with the I Am A Hero. She was so happy with the win that she dropped the debt Nodoka supposedly owes her.

On 1st May Shota signed a full time contract with Ganbare☆Wrestling. To mark the occasion he challenged Keisuke Ishii for the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title. Shota was working with Guts World then went on an excursion to America after the company closed in April. Ohka had always wanted Shota to join Ganpro proper and approached him to make it happen when Shota no longer had a home promotion.

Yumehito Imanari has started the Imanari Revolution so he can be recognised as a main eventer. His campaign began successfully when he defeated Takeshi Okada in the main event of last month’s show. Now he faces Shuichiro Katsumura, the leader of Katsumura-gun and also the person who previously helped train him to fight Ganpro’s enemies. Imanari hopes that this match will be the main event.
